Going to try and call a nurse today and ask if they can send in a prescription for anti-biotics. It's a long shot but it might work. I have been prescribed them before, but not for at least a year.

Illness spreads more quickly in the winter because more people are inside, in close quarters with each other. It doesn't have much to do with the temperature.

Yeah especially if you have to travel by bus, Molly, and it is cold damp and it flipping stinks on the bus. I hate it. Lots of people sneezing and coughing. Not there fault I suppose but still not pleasant.
I go to a gym attacked to a senior's home and they had an outbreak. Probably caught it there.

I have congested sinuses. I have to take prednisone for 10, but no antibiotics. The fun part is the sinus rinse.

I use a saline spray and that works for me.

I love the smell of Vicks, haven't had it in years.
Although i found when i did that i would sometimes get some steam in my eyes and with the vicks in the water it irritated my eyes.

i have never had trouble with Expert....not using it right now...

plus, with the winter coming we tend to get a few mice here and there, and all the cups and water bottles and a few other tasty morsels needed to GO
I had to do that to my kids sometimes too trif. Inititally they were upset but, as you say, as calm surrounding calmed their minds and they came round quickly.

what if you get a couple of filing boxes and helped him decorate them like treasure chests. sometimes it helps them tidy up their important stuff on their own. Especially if you tell him if it is not in a chest, you didn't think it was important when you cleaned up.

I know a friend of mine kept a clear plastic box WAY on the top of her fridge, called the "you left it out" box - if someone left something out, into the box it went, until they earned its freedom

I like that idea too, Bugs. Most of the stuff is going to be in storage; but he has 3 large size boxes of papers that he insists on saving. (My daughter came up with the idea that she'd label the boxes as "open in 2 months" ; 3 months, etc. & he'd have to sort the papers out then

Bugs, he had a piece of paper yesterday that was torn almost in half length-wise, nothing written on it or anything. I put it in the recycling pile & he grabbed it out & said it was his Alligator!! (while opening & closing the tear)

I feel for you, Nef. I life with a hoarder too. Sometimes I just slip out a bunch from the bottom of the pile and he doesn't seem to notice that it never gets any higher.

LOL, Bugs! I think a big part of the problem right now is that with his dad working from home; his dad has been pretty sloppy too when under pressure.
When my son was little like yours we lived next door to a plumber. He came home with toilet parts and dead car mufflers all the time. Each one was the start of a collection.
