hi, guys and gals
hi rbud
hi RB.. how are you doing?
slogging along. trying not to become even more of a hermit than I already was, hahaha.
that's good.. just keep moving forward
hard to concentrate on anything much - except sewing. hadn't done much of it in recent years, but now it seems sort of therapeutic.
yes.. that sounds therapeutic
I have half a dozen sewing machines, some of which I hadn't seen in at least a decade. Excavated them and found out which could do what better, and found the old ones are the best. Not surprised. My newest one sits mostly unused now, haha.
hmm
indestructible probably those old ones
Yup! I sew a lot with denim and leather, the new one can't handle it at all.
Used to work in a Florsheim shoe factory. Wingtips! :P
oh wow
Provided lots of lovely leather scraps I took home, too. :)
my dad used to wear wing tips all the time
practically required for office wear, I guess.
yeah.. I never liked them much myself.. I have big feet like him and have to buy English shoes
cool tool pool
nono is working the oo's
there are many!
sooo - big feet? The English make bigger shoes?
wider shoes (Churches English shoes)
ah! Hubs has a nephew who wears size 15 quadruple E shoes, according to his mom - always meant to ask where he gets them. Guessing they're not widely available.
my nephews (the oldest ones wear 18 and 17 respectively
wow!
they are big kids
I wear size 12
relatively dainty hooves, then - compared to the kids.
exactly
they're much taller than me too
Hubs had a size 11 left foot and more of a size 12 right foot - was always kind of hard to find a good compromise.
thankfully mine are the same
well.. very nice to see you again RB.. i'm glad things are settling down for you some. take care
likewise, and you take care, too. :)
good morning babble friends
good morning Sprite
I'm on my way to bed, 21 words for tomorrow
good evening flosey! I hope you are well?
<--- will not complain about this K grid
sleep well, flosey
{{sprite}} hugs and kisses
sweet dreams flosey dear
roseeeeeeeey! *hugs*
how are you my darling girl?
had a wonderful couple of days at the heart academy. Inspiring and therapeutic and everything I hoped for (as usual, lol). Now a bit... more than a bit sore. But that will pass, and the memories will last.
how did your infusion go, and how are you feeling?
we had our community lunch today with an italian theme. kerry made chocolate-chip biscotten for morning tea. i made minestrone soup, Ingo made garlic and herb brfead, and for afters, Kerry made a strawberry tiramasu.
oh sounds so yummy!
infusion was good. this time i had lignocaine in with the ketamine. and i feel grand.
what does that ligno stuff do?
it's a local anaesthetic, but given in small doses, and IV it calms the nerve endings.
oh nice! I am so happy for you. Glad you are feeling grand :)
don has just played me a youtube clip of estas tonne playing his guitar. he is amazing.
wow he is good!
oh sprite. you remember the family at church who call me grammy rose.well Arthur is now 4 years old, and at lunch today we were informed that he cannot feed himself using a spoon or anything. his parents spoon feed him everything.
well today grammy rose stepped up, put a spoon in his hand, showed how to use it, two mouthfuls down, i said... now arthur do it. he promptly fed himself his bowl of soup.
brb
woooot for granny rose!
sorry, nature called and I had to answer :) Rob and I will be going to a concert of Harry Sacksioni
this is the trailer http://tinyurl.com/magtgyh
phantom: alpaca
okay, have opened the link. will watch a bit later. yeah on the alpaca. i thought it was just me.
can't imagine having a child of 4 yo and not having taught him to feed himself. I think our kids were trying to do that before they were a year.
ditto here. there used to be food everywhere, in the hair, on the face, in the hands, down the inside of the shirt, and the kids were just as bad.
lol yeah, all part of the learning curve. And so incredibly cute, the way they try to find their mouths with that spoon.
brb, need cheese
I even have some pics of Tim feeding himself... on one he is eating broccoli, and his socks were a matching green... and on the next carrots, and his socks a matching orange, lol.
over halfway, one 6, no 7s. Seems I am in my usual splendid form, lol
yummy, maasdam cheese
hehehe that is dutch cheese!
you betcha
you will faint in our local cheese store. They are the best of our province and nr 3 of the netherlands.
i'll be too busy tasting... lolll
oh he'll be happy to have you taste lots of stuff. He is amazing.
my friend june has told me i have to try dutch croissants and the french ones, then tell her which is the best. says she couldn't make her mind.
oh that one is easy. French, all the way.
yay, got one 7!

... oh well half way ... ... gotta go ... luck to all
it seems esoteric enough that enable would want to include it :)
This is a fun grid (for once, for me:)
