It is indeed. :-) I have been working more than I should, but hiking in the woods more than I have been, reading more great books than I was, and cherishing my beloved a bit more each day. Has kept this fella busy. :-)

As far as serene goes,well, I am still working on that. It is the simple pleasures in life that feed my soul these days. The last year has been a case of too many great books, and not enough time.
A cup of tea at dawn with my beloved on my day off, an early morning hike as the woods awakens around us, drives on Blue Mountain,good food, great conversation, a much anticipated book and my comfy wingback reading chair at dusk. Life is good. :-)
I hear you. I am retired and still have trouble fitting in my reading time. Reading has always been a love of mine. Feel sorry for people who never read anything but maybe a gossip mag.
My T.B.R list is daunting at the moment.

How are you and yours?
I am doing well, managing my time in retirement and keeping the house up. I live alone so it is quite time consuming. I volunteer at the library once a week and also volunteer at a church craft group with the end being a giant bazaar in the fall with all proceeds from our most talented women going to charities and the homeless. Still want to play bridge so need to get over to the senior center and see what they offer for activities I might like. Going to Michigan for 10 days to see my oldest son and wife and my two littles, Drake who is six and Kellen who is 3. Love being able to play and stay at the lake house my son has. It is like a private resort, tennis courts and all and is on a beautiful lake. When I am not playing with my grands, I am sitting on the deck overlooking the lake and reading and enjoying nature. Love the place.
