Ours are just about done but it's still beautiful.

fireflies. Bye all.
soooo quiet in here these days...
Hello, Rbud, I am normally here but just busy trying to find words before going off to help parents. Just about to have my bath. Waiting for the water to fill the bath up.
Good morning.
Hello, Ruby :-)
hello, zoom and ruby, glad I'm not alone. :)
Wow it is )3:42am for you, Rbud!
You are never alone (spooky music from a sci-fi movie) LOL
lol
hahaha! was just watching a good spooky movie an hour or so ago. And yes, it's late here. I sleep odd hours, not much to structure my days.
Tough day yesterday, but l INSIST that today will be better!
That is the spirit, ruby! positive thinking!
When does DST start? lt's a week different in France than in the US, but l rnever remember which way
Sorry to hear yesterday was a tough day though.
My son and wife are in Paris and will be here soon but, of course, he never says exactly when
Here in the UK it is on this coming Tuesday.
it has to get better! I had a bad one Tuesday, but Weds. was a little better.
in the US, my dau said it was weekend after next.
always a Saturday night nere.
The hedge gujy overcharged by at least 50% and l feel like a jerk for not getting a price beforehand. All l did was whine a little
(well, early on a Sunday, actually.)
I take that back it is on This SUnday our clocks go back.
His mother is a friend, so l couldn't say very much, but he certainly took advantage
Forward sorry.
Think I messed that up big time LOL
well, which is it, spring forward and fall back, or spring back and fall forward - they've both always sounded equally possible to me, so I have never been sure, bwahaha! :P
Don't use him again then, Ruby.
Ours is forward so it will be darker earlier.
I agree, unless he's the only choice, or does a spectacular job.
Or ask for a total cost before he starts.
What's annoying is that it's MY hedge, but my rich Neighbors insist on having him cut it every year
l pefer itt soft and floppy
Well My bath water is done and now waiting for me to get in for a soak.
Enough of my incessant whining, on to the grid!!
ah, yes, the old it's-light-earlier-so-the-kids-don't-w\nait-for-the-bus-in-the-morning-in-the-\ndark thing.
Happy babbling ladies. Have a great day, Ruby, Rbud hope you have a sweet sleep.
by ((zzoozz)) honey
bye, and thanks! :)
Must use spaces in your posts or you get the \n thing : D
Hello, Molly. What is the best, uncomplicated security syst I can't get my son, the expert, to give me a straight answerem? Norton or McAfee?
sorry for typos
Either of those are fine. Malwarebytes is free. We use Webroot at work.
well, y'all knew what I meant. that's silly, though. how is a hyphen related to a link - that's the only place I've seen that /n thing before.
Thanks
The \n doesn't have to to with links. It is a coding error that happens after twenty something characters without using a space.
I still have the much-maligned Kaspersky, have had it since like '98 or so. I may be a spy and not know it, but I certainly have no virus problems.
It happens if someone posts a long string of letters like ARGH with a long string of H's and !!'s.
ahhhhh, I get it. That's still maybe not an error, just a way to not let people post links? they are usually so long. Thus the short-link site? (what is it, Tiny Links? I forget, long time since I used it)
Does anyboy remember po5, the sidewalk game with chalk, or are you all too Young?
I know a few sidewalk chalk games, but that name doesn't ring a bell.
or should I say, that two-letter hint doesn't ring a bell, haha.
And stoop ball?
The only po5 I know is Richie Cunningham's friend. Ruby is talking about old New York street games.
yes, I suspected one would need a stoop for stoop ball.
that's sort of a city term, in my mind, at least
Yes, from a very old New Yorker!
how does one play po5?
l think it's like hopscotch, or is that also a NY street game?
that one I know. :)
l think l spent much of my early lifesitting on the stoop
kind of like sitting on the front porch where I grew up. Did a lot of that.
Exactly!
No porches in the old neighborhood
My guess is that calling hopscotch po5 derived from some little kid who couldn't pronounce hopscotch, and it stuck.
watch the world go by... :)
Molly is probably right, but l see "watching the world go by" with a :(
I insisted for years that I needed a porch to sit on, finally got it built about four years back, after living in this house for 20+ years at that time.
seeing the world go by is sad for you?
French people don't have porches or rocking chairs
Adolescence wasn't my favorite time
Life didn't get great 'til l hit 40!
:)
40,to 47, the best years!!! And when Molly ghost-writees my story, everybody can share
I think adolescence is a tough time for a lot of people.
l was always the shortest, youngest, best at math and a teachers' pet. Not the ro** to adolescent popularity

yaaawnnnn....stttreeeetch....good morning everyone
Hi Car! I just got here.
Hey you! I hear you are looking for me...LOL
I dropped FB...sore spot with the hubby and it just isn't worth the drama
Yes, you disappeared from FB.
It's been a rough couple of weeks. #1 son has been in and out of adolescent psych care
Oh, no. Please email me.
poor things inherited anxiety from hubby's side and depression from my side...and he's a 14YO boy. He's a mess
I will
Sorry...as just getting #2 son on the bus. How are you?
I fear that SAD is kicking in for me. I need the sun.
We have been so fortunate to have such an amazing stretch of weather here
You have a light?
Yes, and I realized yesterday that I must start using it.
OK, good.
Hopefully, even though the days will be shorter, the winter will be full of sunshiny days.
I don't mind the cold. I need sunlight.
Yes!
Well, I did freeze yesterday as the doc at the football game from 5-7. I still have 3 layers on.
Oh dear!
Does an electric blanket help that at all?
There were no injuries and that was the last game of the season. I should have taken a hot bath when I got home but I went to bed.
Well, that's good news!
I think my electric blanket got chewed by a former rabbit and I tossed it..the blanket, not the rabbit.
No doubt in my mind there! LOL
How are all the "kids"?
Jaxson has had a tough transition to K--some hitting--but he loves school. Ryder continues in preschool and is smart enough to start K at age 33 months now.
:) good to hear
Do you have the 2nd row E?

hi pen
hi..
back in college we had a dance/theater performance, and one of my friends did a modern dance routine called "slithy tove" inspired by the poem
it's made up of two ordinary words...
that must have been interesting to watch eva?
it was pretty cool. she was very flexible + could move in rather inhuman ways, heh
you mean acro type dance?
made it to 100 words:)
this particular routine didnt have any acrobatics, but almost more....contortion, sort of
found
that's what I was referring to, I hate that type of dance lol
help with ca7pls
heh, she didnt do anything that made you cringe, but it definitely made you realize how NOT flexible you are!

hi Eva, how are you and Kieran?
well, overall, though he is recovering from a bout of Hand, Foot and Mouth disease -- poor kiddo is covered in spots!
oh no. I hear that is fairly common in young children tho.
yes, it's a virus, like a cold - much worse in adults, than children, so im washing my hands often + crossing my fingers!
still don't know it peri I googled it and no luck. Is it a compound word.. the thing you wear on your head in sports or bad weather?
in happier news, though, we have a walker on our hands!
eva that is awesome!
there are 2 he7 peri
like most things, he kinda hung back + watched for a while until he figured out the mechanics in his mind, then he just got up + went for it! he can only make it across the room before stumbling, but he just gets back up + continues on his way!

Clues for the he 7's?
One is plural of he6 meaning the number seven or a group of seven.
The second one has the same first 3 letters, and the second part is a feline. It's an old-timey word. Plural for the 7.
Another word for hipster (I just found it).
PMS, if you're still looking, it's something you do to leftover food.
yes it is!
Thank you Gillie, I got it the exact time that your answer came thru. Can go to bed now.
i have a question for windows 10 users.
I am no expert but will try my best to help, T Owl.
ty zooz
when i ouse over my window, it enlarges or shrinks. drives me nuts.
i guess you have guessed it meant "mouse"
That happens to me sometimes too. The resize tool is in the upper right corner of the browser. You should be able to click on it and go to "reset" or "restore".
Nice one, Champfit!
I'm running Chrome, and on mine you can click on the 3 dots that run vertically on the end...it'll open a window that has "zoom" as one of the choices.
The things we learn because we screw up! :)
lol
what does this button look like?
LIke a magnifying glass. Small. On my browser it's next to the bookmark star.
If you're not at 100% it should be there. Click it and hit reset
OR...look for 3 vertical dots outside the browser border and next too the bookmark star...to the right of it. That'll have the Zoom setting.
i see. must go make dinner but watching kevin belton make bread pudding
do not see a mag glass, that is why i am stumped. and frustrated
see a % at the end of the url window, but i am NOT hitting that
No...past that, past the bookmark star, there might be 3 dots, stacked.
ah, he is making hard sauce. yum.
no dots. firefox here.
there are icons none of which pertain to size
POO. Have you tried going out of the application and coming back in? You probably just accidentally hit something that'll reset .
thank you. i am going to cook now.
Sorry!
does the last da 4 end in a vowel or a cons?
vowel
hi zooz ty finally found it
I use firefox, T Owl Not sure how to help but if you click on the three lines near the top right hand corner a drop down menu pops up. Near the top of the drop down menu there is a - 100 % + signs so you can change it to any size that suits you.
Other than that if it is still changing size whislt using your mouse maybe it would be best to go to your mouse settings instead and see if you can use the default to reset the mouse.
Same as Chrome, just lines instead of dots. How 'bout that?
hello all -- got a little over half way earlier, so 108 to go
congrats cyber .. 113 left to go here
To do that you would neeed to you need to click on the windows button click on settings and goto the mouse settings from there.
Good luck to you! Trying to finish my last 14.
Sorry for all the typos. Trying tap the keys too fast.
Alas it is time for me to retire for the eveing. Happy babbling everyone!
