good morning all
well g'day dearest sprite. hugs my friend. how are you this flip?
*hugs rose* I am okayish. Slept most of the night, pretty intense dreaming but not nightmares per se. Close, but not quite. How are you doing? Slowly coming down from the birthday high?
i'm okay. had rehab today. didn't do any above shoulder height exercises just to rest the muscles which allow us to do those. i did my second test walk today.
how did that go?
when i started 7 weeks ago, i walked 166 metres in minutes. today i walked 266 metres in 6 minutes. the physio was very pleased.
*six minutes*
oh WOW you did great! Such progress. You are my hero.
AND i talked the whole way around...now there's a surprise... loll
lolollllll now let me know when you manage the full 6 minutes without talking... that would be news :) *ducks*
hahaha... come here you, i have a soft spot for you..... it's called a swamp.... loll
ROFLOL

and cooee to you too flosey. xoxox
happy in tos to you too, dear lady. And a good evening and *hugs*. How are you doing?
hahaha, fingers aren't obeying signals!!!
fine thanks Sprite and you?
ugh, I know that feeling. Sometimes my legs don't. My brain tells them to darn well lift and they stay stubbornly on the floor. Tsssssk.
guess you just have to learn the shuffle!!!
I am okay. A nice slow day ahead of me, just laundry and cooking and singing lesson.
the harlem shuffle?
hmmm, and I'm looking foward to a nice long sleep
that would be lovely, flosey. Nice, long and with happy dreams all the way. I hope you get it!
oohhhh, i had one of those three nights ago. such a difference it makes.
amen, sistah
ty Sprite and good luck to both of you
thank you

ca8, plural, ci8, plural, im8,plural, im8, singular

i'll let you think about it.it's reasonably common.
thanks. For making me feel real dumb, lololllll
Hi and hugs - just here for a few minutes.

okay, the ci is not common. *smooths sprite's ruffled feathers*
Haven't been able to find the book you want, Liz. It is not on usenet yet, I think. Tried the other title too and it just is not there yet. Will keep an eye out.
cooee liz dear friend. how are you and yours?
We're both very well. Rushed off our feet. Passover soon and guests arriving on Thursday.
AND DON'T CALL LIZ SHORT !! she's just vertically challenged... loll
I'm actually just right :)
same as me then. Vertically challenged and horizontally blessed.
me too.
Definitely not that!
you are, Liz, just kidding! It is like with dachshunds. What do you mean, its legs are short? They easily reach the floor.
quite a challenge, Liz, the guests and passover together.
Not tall, I accept but not horizontally blessed!
you are not horizontally blessed at all. You are slim and beautiful.
They're also really excited about the Commonwealth Games and have tickets. We're not and got rid of the tickets we got as backups for them!
liz is NOT low slung either. i know, i checked out her undercarriage.
Aw - so sweet :)
Good morning all. May I please have a clue for st5-10 the 2nd? Thannks
Hi Peach. Hope all's well with you.

*mind picture* sprite using her toes....

I've been meaning to ask - it would be awfully convenient to be able to play on the phone but if there's a way to do it without going insane I don't know what it is. Is there a way? How do y'all play?
ci 7/36 please?
Good morning, all.
I would never play on a phone. The screen is too small and the buttons are too small.

We learned all the military branches songs in grade school music.
Yes, I remember that too, Bea.
Even the Coast Guard? No one ever knows the Coast Guard song.
Ri5/10?
The Coast Guard has a song? I'll have to ask my Captain. He was in the CG.
Ends in picnic pest Judi
ri5 - ends with picnic pest
Yes, Semper Paratus (which means always ready in Latin)
Ty, Molls.
Ha. I'll have to get him to sing it.
It's probably on Youtube
Yep. A couple dozen versions of it.
that could be a new male enhancement drug name then
lol. Hi, Ru.
So5 & 6?
Ad: Semper...for those nights when you want to salute and conquer.
commercial: semper paratus can cause a sudden decrease in blood pressure, headaches, restless sleep, and other ailments.. contact your Doctor if you have any symptoms

Judi is really milking that dog paw clue : D
ooh
I had that..
It was the furs thing that came to mind.
that helps though.. I can work on the 8/9
There are a multitude of "rescue swimmer" jokes to be made about Semper as a Viagra thing

Off I go to do some real work. See y'all tomorrow!
waiting to hear these molly
Don't get all locked up looking for that 8/9 Ru

Hello. nHad one day of Spring and it's below freezing again at night
It is like a horror movie "The Winter That Wouldn't End"
l think it's passed the Haute-Savoie!
The only good thing is that the bouquet l received 3 weeks ago is still lovely from being in the cold house
I have the Easter decorations out and I keep looking at them wondering why. I'm still running the freaking heat at night.
At least you have heat
gosh.. i'll have to turn on the air conditioner today
One year there was a big snowstorm on April 16th, but this -ear not much snow but unrelenting cold

NBT-1. I have exactly one word from every tile with at least one word. I can hear you thinking "You have a lot of time on your hands, don't you?"
the CI 5 is my last word. Still don't see it...

Hi all, diving in
Hi all, diving in
hi all. i have half way and would love to finish but cooking calls.

hi all
Hello, Anawaltgal :-)
ஜ۩۞۩ஜ F.I.R.E.W.O.R.K.S ஜ۩۞۩ஜ
Happy babbling everyone!
Corps not in the grid? Seriously? The song is the Army song not the Marine song.
"Over hill, over dale, we have hit the dusty trail..."
gimp
sorry!
Oh look. Someone is Army proud.
I learned all the armed forces' songs in grade school (at least the armed forces that were in existence when I was in grade school a long time ago)
We had this conversation earlier and someone else said the same thing. Did you learn the Coast Guard song? The Coast Guard was surely in existence when you were in grade school but I bet they overlooked that one.
You're right - and considering school was in the area of the Coast Guard facilities, that's weird and wrong.
Semper paratus - although I had never heard it before just youtubing it now.
it's a marching song. It has to tough marching within the confines of a seafaring vessel.
They can't have spent all their time on ships! They have land-based facilities on Long Island and Rhode Island.
Unless one just marched in place, which is a perfectly reasonable alternative to regular marching forth.
Yeah, but that would be strange
Maybe primarily sung while boarding and disembarking.
That could work - get all pumped up by singing and marching
Maybe it'll get played during the march in D.C. this fall.
Even the merchant marines have a song: 'Heave Ho, My Lads, Heave Ho'
Didn't know that. Thanks
clue for tr 5/12?
squeezing grid for that tr - no luck so far.
The Coast Guard doesn't spend their time marching. They are search and rescue men.
i'm completely flummoxed
tricia
trica
damn.
tr 5/12: tr+vowel+acronym for a type of electrical current
Then why have a marching song at all?
here goes to show if you just keep typing random letter you will finally get it.
ty java - just got it in before the clue. **FIREWORKS**
thank you java. congratulations turt.
Most of the military songs sound like marching songs.
yw and congrats
military songs would be silly if they sounded like love songs. or could "fly me to the moon" be the air force song?
'So here's the Coast Guard marching song/ We sing on land on or sea, etc.
Maybe the emphasis is on 'sing.'
bbl - supper time
di5?
old-fashioned way of saying one accomplished something?
in 6/21 any hints?
mab no idea
Maggie I don't have that one either but looking for it with you
past tense of 'do'
mab what is past tense of do clue for?
di5
ty mab got the di 5 finally
do you have the in 6/21 Maggie is looking for?
in6 is in plus another term for a bridge.
Those are not the lyrics for the Coast Guard song.
https://tinyurl.com/y7nyrc4d
ty again mab
I bow to your greater interest in the topic. My search didn't exceed 3 seconds.
My Father was career Coast Guard. I'm very familiar with the subject.
ty
hello everyone
in 6 please? -- don't see another term for bridge
oh - yes I do! -- nm

In plus most of clothing for chubby women 😖
couldn't resist, ru?
No 😀
*Waits for Ru to get SLAMMED for "chubby women"
ru, I feel like I remember you living in California; have you emigrated, or were you always Canadian?
seems to me there are corsets for chubby men made of the same material
I am going to live in bc and california soon
Men are hefty not often chubby
How international. I would love to live in BC.
tell it to the judge....
I can’t wait
There's 'hefty' and then there's 'chubby.' Rarely the twain meet.
Hefty sounds like "fat but okay". Chubby sounds like "fat but not okay".
wikimedia listed the 26 Canadian cities that offer the best weather....in BC Pentiction, Kelowna and Vernon (all in the Okanagan VAlley) and Kamloops were the only ones to make the list.
help for the first 3 ci's please?
Sounds lovely.
South central BC, not the ci words, none of which I have.
funny, i don't take hefty and chubby that way. i think of chubby as a little bit fat, possibly in a cute way, esp if short. whereas hefty to me just sounds like you're trying to say someone is fat without using the word fat.
we like it here --- there are lots of lovely spots in BC -- I think one has to consider the activities available and if they are a good fit. Skiing, Golf and Boating are the biggies here --- also have pretty good theatre groups and an symphony, but not like Vancouver or Seattle.
And curling Ru. I expect you to become a huge curling fan when you become Canadian. : P
I think the Hefty brand of petrochemical bags, where 'hefty' is to connote strength and durability.
Yes, and chubby is fat.
does anyone have clues for those ci"s -- they are my last ones
i have ci5/12, type of cloud formation.
isnt that cirrus??????
pl.
ok i have ci 4 for the clouds singular.
No, it is not cirrus
And there is no ci4 for the clouds singular. That is a ci5
Actually, for clouds, cirrus is plural. ci5 is the plural of other usages of the same word.
We all stand corrected.
It is pretty weird.
evening all!
ty Gillie and Molly
Hi dan
how goes it, origami?
10...
OK, dan. Semi-retired now and really enjoying only working half time. How are you doing?
nice! I am well, though mrs2bit suffered a bad sprain in her driving foot last week, so that's complicated some things
but only temporarily
Glad you're doing well and mrs2bit is on the mend :D
firewords! tx lickety and kittychan and all cluers - ci7/8 was my last
Wow. WTG dan
i would love it if you clued the ci 7/8. ty.
... robot ending
ci7: first part sounds like a close female relative. Second part is suffix meaning 'like' or 'resembling.' the 8 is pl.
first ci 5 please?
nan, it uses a double consonant and ends in a vowel
found it
that does it for me --- just in time for the flip
ty rose
WTG CYBERNAN!!
beautiful flowers --- from your garden?
yes nan. they flourish with me ignoring them... loll
our gardens are just coming to life --- no flowers yet, but the bulbs are starting to poke through.
oh lovely. i love the anticipation of the first daffodil or jonquil. sometimes the grape hyacinths beat them to it.
The flower beds at our new house have been neglected for the last 8 years, so I have my work cut out for me. We had 4 stumps that had been left ground out yesterday and there are some roses that have gone wild that need to be dug out. Iris has choked out another area and gout weed has taken over yet another.
There seems to be lots of tulips though, so looking forward to those
i will look forward to your reports on how the garden is responding. big job having the stumps ground out.
tulips !! i would be in seventh heaven.
