Well, I decided to be fancy & stained the outside dark ma****** & the inside bright turquoise-- the tutorial said to stain both inside & outside...
and how did that go?
Nef-- expect it to be more difficult, though it came out pretty well...
The stain was really drippy, & I had to paint the inside w/ 3 coats-- also, very precision paint job-- narrow slat edges & all...

My daughter does a lot of the pintrest ideas out of pallets (she has access to all that she might want she says). I haven't done any projects yet because I just found pinterest ideas this past fall & had to have hand surgery (arthritis) before I could do some of those things
I'm all better now; just need to carve out some time for doing stuff.

I broke my right tibial plateau in a car accident, then fell from 1 tippy toe, lost balance & fell, bracing myself w/ my left hand & broke wrist-- the doctor looked at my X-ray & said "what a mess!"-- bedside manner could use improvement...

I did have PT. I meant (jokingly) that my typing skills (which are lousy) haven't improved; it's not that my hand isn't healed, it's that I still can't type well. My surgery was for the base of my thumb

I had surgery in January, was in a soft cast until March; surgeon not satisfied with results in May; still have to continue doing exercises, (not in PT) etc. & see him again in August
OOh-- the thumb gets taken for granted-- very useful part of hand/wrist

I had painful putty squeezing exercises (for strength & others for mobility-- it really paid off to get through the pain before it felt better...

It's possible, Kate; it depends on how it feels & his decision. I had the same surgery on my non-dominent (rt) hand 7 years ago, it was a breeze. But between odd anatomy and nerve involvement; this wasn't as smooth
