Kam - my hearing is not too bad :)
that's the word that filled it in for me
you are quite right Kam - thanks all
you're plugging along then ursh :D
oops, filled in 5th column. I really need new glasses...and the ones I have *are* new. They just don't work
good morning all
*hugs Kam*
195 words left for tomorrow, off to bed now, good night all
good night, flosey, sweet dreams, dear lady
*Hugs* sprite!
how are you and your beloved today, Kam?
OK! We're both a bit tired of the heat - days on end of 100+ F
How are you doing?
that kind of heat is so draining. I am okay, thanks :)
I ended up watering myself when I watered our little "lawn" today - too hot to be outside. Felt good, but made a mess, oh well, was worth the mess.
hehehe good job! Who cares about the mess.
I used to work for a plant nursery, watered potted trees and plants most of the summer, I'd fill my rubber boots with cold water, ahhhh - but the prune-y feet was kind of gross, haha
our little dogsit dog enjoys standing in Terra's drinking trough (quite a big one) with all 4 paws, hit the water with his forelegs and then bite at the leaves that are stirred up in the water, so funny
lol rbud! Must have been a funny sight. But I totally understand, what a hot and humid job!
Hubby didn't - he was sitting inside in the AC. We're ready for cooler weather. Good news today, one of the biggest fires locally was 100% contained, and another highway was reopened for through traffic past the other fire, so things are looking up. The moon was orange 2 nights ago, orange cream last night...and I still have to go look tonight
dogs that like water are so fun, most of ours are scared of it.
great news about the fire, yay!
Oh, I've watered my garden shoes many times! Prune feet for sure! But it feels SO good!
glad about the fires, Kam, yay!
Best news we could get about fire containment! Yosemite is open, but some access roads won't open for a couple of weeks until they get the dangerous trees out of the way
my sister's son, I think he's maybe 20 now, decided to take a short California vacation last week, I asked if they knew half the state was on fire and there was smoke everywhere, they had no idea... she really should listen to news once in a while...
I never do and even I knew
he wanted to go to Yosemite, didn't get to. I think he spent most of the time at Santa Monica, guess it wasn't too bad there.
my sis is totally able to exist in lala land and avoid any and all important info, always has been. Boring.
lol... I am never boring though :P
nope, not a bit of it. :D
Santa Monica is no comparison to Yosemite! But it can be a nice beach if everyone is behaving.
well, he was mostly trying to stay well clear of smoke when possible, he said. Silly time to go there, I thought.
but no, he wouldn't hear of putting it off.
headstrong, that one
very.
But So Calif caught on fire...destroyed childhood memories :'(
only child, jerk of a drunk father, they divorced when he was about 5, he's spoiled rotten.
I know, I was so sad hearing about all the beautiful things that got burned up.
quite a bad start for a child
that is so sad, fire is really scary that way
The past three years have destroyed so much. Sad for everyone, especially those who lost homes
when people die, that is the very worst. But losing a home is probably right next to it.
cooee and g'day from me. {{{sprite}}} {{kam}} {{rbud}}
there she is :) *hugs rose* Helly my bestie, how are you doing today? And how is Don?
Of course, what hit us hardest was hubby's house ... and all of the family cabins. We're still praying for Grandmother Oak to make it. The arborist said 50/50 chance she will. New growth for 2 years...
exhausted is a good word, so is utterly stuffed... lolll
hubra - a breast enhancer that puts you in the misgotten notion that you have divine ones
lol! Feet up, relax and let the food slowly find its way...
have been up since 5:45am in order to visit my niece for grandparents and special friends day. then on the way home, we stopped and did our hydrotherapy session.
My heart breaks every time I hear of another life lost.
wow rose, that is awesome. That you can manage all that! Yay for the infusions.
Hi Rose!
it was so lovely sprite. the dear little girl just couldn't stop hugging and kissing us. we both feel soooo loved and wanted.
hi kam. we have been praying every day for all effected by disasters around our world. it is heart-breaking.. so much death, so much loss.
that is wonderful, darling :) I am not surprised though. Wouldn't mind being the little girl, lol.
lolll... i took her a little gift. it is a soft rubber unicorn, but has holes punched in its sides. when you squeeze it, little bubbles filled with coloured balls pop out. it looks disgusting but sh loved it. her teacher told me the whole class wants one. i fear i may have started a trend.. loll
oh how wonderful that you brought her that! I love your powers of empathy, to know she will love something you and every adult would think disgusting.
roflolll. once when she squeezed it, two holes under its chin popped out and she exclaimed, much to don's amusement, look, its got boobies.
awwwwww priceless
did you see my new boobie dictionary word?
yes sprite. a really good one too.
okay, putting it in then
how are you and that rotten flu? have you parted company yet?
mostly, yes. Am left with an almost debilitating tiredness. But I hope that will pass soon as well.
can you drink green tea? it may he4 boost your immune system if you can.
I think I can. Think I even have some in the cupboard. Will try it!
put some honey it it too. good source of energy and again will he4 boost the immune system.
good idea, thanks hun
Have you tried vitamin D3
I started on my own at 5000IU and my doctor put me to 10000IU
yeah. I am chronically low on vitD. Am taking extreme supplements to keep it up.
I take 100000IU every two weeks. Did once a month to six weeks, but internist told me to go to once a fortnight
OK, that is major as we ladies age - doc said it's more of a hormone than a vitamin
Wow, that's actually less than my doc told me to take, I think. I take 140,000IU every two weeks, which is a fortnight, right?
yes, it is. Here, this is considered really extreme. Must be careful with vitD because it is stored in fat.
My doc said the lesser amount daily is better than a large amount every so often...but...I do what he says unless I have evidence to prove otherwise
same here, better follow our doctor's orders. They know quite a lot about our personal condition :)
I asked doc about that since it's fat soluable...he said don't worry. I'm about 135 at 5'4" but I have a good amount of old lady belly fat!
True, that
I just wish the doc could live in my body for a week. He would want his nice young body back in 2 days, I swear!
oh yeah. Same here.
fireflies. Had a bit of trouble getting past halfway, but hit a second wind.
to all, a blessed day and a peaceful night. *hugs* for my friends and an extra big warm *HUG* for rose.
Yay you! Be well. huge *hugs*!

Monday greetings, y'all!
Hi kids. A giant grid to dive into. Yay.
hi Scrabbs
How are you today, bojazz?
doing well … hope the same is true for you
My on call weekend ended and hour ago so I am happy. It is a 63 hour marathon of phone calls.
can only imagine some of the calls you receive...
Most can and should wait until the office is open. Or resourceful parents should look at our website for answers. Anyway, I remind myself that parents call out of fear.
yes, have been there and done that … some events can be scary for parents
We had a toddler on a ventilator for a day because she ingested her brother's ADHD medication. Scary.
And an acute appendicitis in a 10 year old.
Good Morning, Babblers!
we were fortunate in that we never encountered emergencies with out children...
Hi Eva and K.
Excellent, bojazz. What a relief.
How is your heel cord feeling, Eva?
All three of my children got broken noses playing sports...
hi there. so far, so good, i suppose. it feels fine when ive got the boot on. im not convinced that the evening boot is stretching the right part (or perhaps i just dont have it adjusted correctly). but overall, im not sure that theres much progress... i go back wednesday morning for a checkup, so we shall see! im just happy this doctor is at least doing SOMETHING.
what's the prob with your heel cord?
Achilles Tendinitis
yep, i got that, plantars fasciatis
first time, i got steroid shots, helped a lot
came back and trying to figure out if i should try steroids again or not
no health insurance so will be out of pocket
The night brace is to keep your heel cord stretched and dorsiflexed. Are you taking a NSAID? Any oral steroids?
won't be cheap
Plantar fasciitis is annoying and takes so long to resolve.
and i really like walking too, 10K steps a day
Do you have an orthotic, shirlock? Protalus or Superfeet?
morning, all
that would be $ too
insoles in ALL my shoes now
don't get complacent about using the boot, evan - or you may end up like me, looking at surgeries to detach/reattach the achilles tendon and get rid of the resulting bone spurs
what is this exactly?
Oh, no, welki.
oh my! i keep eatching these food shos and then wonder why i am hungry all day.
theres'a day for everything and it's national bacon day.
scrabbs, still trying to convince the surgeon to go the less-invasive route with a gastroc-soleus recession. i'm getting resistance because there's a lot more $$ in the complicated surgery than the recession. (checked it out with my gp and he agrees - try conservative first. then, if it doesn't work, go radical)
oh my, how did you get this?
anyway, evan - make sure you do EVERYTHING the docs/physiotherapist tells you - and if they've prescribed an NSAID, take it - the swelling is the painful culprit
hi owl - probably a combination of genes, bad shoes as a kid and years of working on my feet
please be careful about the NSAID. be scrupulous about having a full stomach and the dosing schedule.
haha - platform shoes and disco dancing!
What an aggravation, welki! When did your problems begin?
i am sorry, i came in in the middle. will read back
i got it when i broke a bone on the top of my foot and then it flared
it's been ongoing for years - years of orthotics, physio, prescriptions, tens treatments. could be worse i suppose
evaN injured herself on vacation?
No, Owl. Chronic heel cord tendinitis.
that sounds bad
don't know - just came in on the convo, too - wanted to make sure she does what she needs to do to fix it before it becomes a life-long issue
i had a cortison injection in my foot friday. hurt a lot
yeah, but oh what a relief, eh? can't take too many of them, though
I passed on a steroid injection into my thumb. Naproxen for a few days calmed down the arthritis.
We are orthopedic disasters, aren't we?
no. my is injury related because of negligence. no healing after 6 weeks needed action
age is doing enough without someone hastening along for me.
yes - i think a lot of it falls on the 'work through the pain' work ethic
according to doctor the nerves have suffered trauma and hopefully this will help calm them down so they will heal
i lost feeling in the toes and the foot pad under them
affects balance
brb - coffee
The C's are brutal!
I need 18 more from the top and 5 the bottom.
Help
Nods
o.O
tceicher, toss out some biggies.
Oops, playing on iPad and got confused
sorry, got called away for work...no meds just yet, at least. doc didnt want to do any injections based on the site of the pain. after my checkup this week, depending on progress, she may recommend custom orthotics. ive had this pain for years + just lived with it. the doctor i saw last year had nothing more to offer than "buy new shoes"
Wow. Buy new shoes. That made the office visit all worth while. Oy.
well, i mean, doesnt every woman want doctor's orders to buy new shoes? LOL
not when they recommend "sensible" ones
are they covered under insurance if a doctor orders them?!
how was your vacation>
but yeah. even wearing solely the sort of shoes he recommended didnt fix the problem. it was just a band-aid solution for the pain. and in the meantime, if im not wearing said shoes, im unable to chase around a toddler -- who surprisingly, doesn't STOP just because mommy's feet hurt!
exactly, TO! i am too young for "sensible" shoes. ;)
ooooooh, good morning
59 left...Must get this show on the road...bzz..
morning, nut.
hows my owlly?
recvoering from the weekend. BTW someone we know was thinking about a trip to falling water
Hi Nutty!
oooooooh falling water, haven't been there yet.
hows my scrabsy?
i tried something i was sure couldn't be a word and got an 8 and the 9 lol
I finished painting a room last night and am relieved that is done!
Ooh, a clue, wolvie?
someone said the tours cost $100 but nasic tours do not
the opposite of when cousins mary and reproduce
ou plus consonant plus mate a pair, then plural for 9
oh i detest painting
was thinking about painting an hour ago.
sorry to but in, diving back into the grid now have fun
ty fo rthe ou 8/9
Got 'em. Thanks.

foot convo. was hoping soemeone had same experience. but no matter, treatment is done. just hope it works
temple's clue was better lol
on the painting topic, a friend has offered to paint with me but i have not taken up the offer.
pretty stupid.

et5/14--related to morals
do not forget the past tense for a 7 to go with 8/9
et 5/14 she has a good work et5
I enjoy painting--very relaxing.
hi scrab ty
TY, Owl
130 left and I must leave for Wegmans. My mother called to add some shopping items for me. Maybe I will return tonight. Enjoy the day.
i enjoy procrastinating. i love thinking about projects.
i drive an hour to shop at wegmans
I love wegmans
my latest is bying a millstone for a fountain that will never be assembled.
wegmans - yes!
but the stone is a great bargain
lol owl, we just dropped $450 bucks on a 3 foot wide slab of ambrosia maple, because it will make a great dining room table.
why owl?
and who will make this?
hi all. any clues for the 9? ty
the hubster of course, and i will be the lovely assitant when requested
opposite of not in and to make a baby
see below, mkg, there are two clues it is a plural. it's easier to approach the words than to dive right into the long ones.
oh that's no fun owl lol
saw some beautiful end tables this weekend made of drawers with hairpin legs and woordburning designs
i do not see hte point but to each but hey, to each her own
dont know what mate a pair means so dont see the 8 or 9 below. please send me clues. ty.
read my clue at 9/14 mkg
i need to go. nut does your hubby have a blwo torch to remoce the rod and chain still on the millstonme?
9:14
not quite that grade no
that is only the first obstacle, but a big one. not a do it yourself project
i keep asking for a plasma cutter. no dice yet
but the stone is only $44!!!! it's amleer but that is a great pricwe
got it. ty
what is a plasma cutter?
keep the chain, make it a design feature
plasma cutter will cut anything that conducts electricity
and you would use this for?
no it will not work and def is not in my vision
it is a grind stone with rod and chain through the hole that would be where the water would bubble out
cut designs from flat metal, cut other metal to weld into whatever i like
Eva, the face on your site is the actor Jack Klugman.
Le5?
i would love to see your handiwork
I will be back...
i have no handiwork because he won't buy me a plasma cutter, not even a carving chainsaw. all i have is spoons carved with axes
well but it yourseld.
give less pressure
thanks mkg, i was being silly, making like my dog is more famous
sorry...that clue was for mlf who already left. lol
I needed it too, Phae, so thank you!
can't, we have a strict no spending more than $50 without consultation rule. if i break it that leaves him free to break it and next thing you know, we're broke.
hmmm i am linked to the king of broke. he raises broke to an art. neewest is a small rv to take telescope to arizona. when I suggest rent, he blanches.
i think its why the hubster and i get on, we're definitely on the same spending wavelength. i would like a plasma cutter, but i'm not willing to pay for it. they are $$$$
makes absolutely no sense to me. none at all. i would call that a major lifestyle difference
yw care.
probably why i have not been invited along. i had to invite myself to eclpse viewing but well worth it
i want pictures. will you be going to the erie eclipse?
oh i have pictures. a cd full. i posted them when i returend. what erie eclipse?
someone is making a movie of them . for months and months. *sigh*
i will email you them if you really want them
supposed to be one in erie, can't remember the year. our house is almost in totality.
I'd love to see one. hubster is a photo hobbyist.
someone is writing a guide to photographing an eclipse, with camera setting and all. it may be finihsed b then, but i am not betting on that.
ar6/27?
i think there is one in england soon
if you see the photos, you will see he knows ewhat he;s doing. they are pro grade
we have both color and b&w photos.
cool!
let me know if you eant
gonna take hubster to the darkest night sky in the us hopefully this year to get the milkyway
oh i do i do
yes that is the gist of the trip to arizona
i posted photos i took of the expedition but not the actual photos. no permission from the two photographers and did not want them usurped.
with arches
so where is the darkest night sky IYO?
it somewhere here in pa, hubster has the location saved somewhere.
cherry springs state park
check sjy & tekescope website. my puter is crap i cannot tiny the url.

hi wv
good morning all
wv i have a pu 6/24 ending in s i need the one before or after it . do you know if you have it or not?
PU 6/24 (that i have) - one before it is same but pt, onne after it is superlative
ty got the one after the other you clued is a 27 as i think i have it
don't have list - just know which ones i have found
pu 6/24 - of the best quality
I have four pu 6s so far
i have 14 pu words
I have 14 too...still missing 2 p words tho
3 words, what you give a baby, pt and pl
ty teach
same here mool
are any of the co7 words compound words?
only have 1 CO 7 - pt
No compounds... Do you have co 7 40
yes
There are three 7 40.. poetical, a verb or. To move thru, and co 7 40 have a lot of co 5 16
1. Poetical 2. To run thru, as in veins. 3.have a lot of co 5 16
Co 7 36 means to bruise...
nodus
thx jaianniah, that was my last co
Cool!
Anything else of a stubborn nature...
????
I haven't lsited yet, so I don't know. I'm missing a CO, but I have no diea which one! :)
There are a lot of co's...any idea of the number?
phantom : ostrich
No, because I haven't listed. But I do have two 8s and three 7s; I think I'm missing something obvious and short.
Unless there's four 7s?
4 7's yes...and an 8
Four sevens
Ooooohhhh. So I've been looking in the wrong places. Thanks y'all!
1. Bruise 2.poetical term 3. Blood co7 thru his veins 4.co7 more co 5 12...
"Looking for clues in all the wrong places" she sang....
GOT IT! Thank y'all tons.
Anybody else out there going crazy trying to solve this??? Human clue dispenser here...
I've got 73 left, but I'm going to keep brute forcing for a while.
You know what would be useful? Stats for the double vowel tiles along the edges. I have like, half, of each of them.
Y'Welcome, dear!! Just ask! No need to be brutal....
Not "double", that's not what I meant. I meant the ones with 2-4 words.
What do you mean?
Do you mean..are there words that start with ok?
Oo
Damnable predictabitch....
The e along the left column. The O and the E on the right. I'm about halfway on all of them and mired.

That's exactly what I needed. Thanks again!

Cool....go, girl, go!
Frigging British spellings trip me up every time---Well, every time except when it's the American spellings. :D
hi all. I only have 2 co7and no 8's at all
:D
Peri, I clued those a few minutes ago....
11:29 am
I got one from your clue, ty, don't have the co5/12
Co 8 is bruised in the past....
ah, ty did not think to pt
A child is a yo***. Swap out that first letter. Then add ending for the 7.
It's not a co5/12, it's a co 5/16. That was a typo. Add two letters to that one for the 7, and three letters (comparative form) for the 8.
I do have that co5/16
Work with that one for a 7 and an 8
Correct. I was wrong on the count...when I first clued it, we were just using the letter amount...
ty got the co5/7/and 8
Groovy.!!!☆☆☆☆☆☆
You have the compound bi8?
Groovy, have not heard that word in years
no bi8 or ou8/9
I have a friend named groovy!
I have them ALL....yup, I am from the groovy generation...lol...
got the bi8 ty
Rabbits can take over a countryside by ou8/9ing all their competitors. :)
PT that one for the 7.
Bi8 is what little chickadees sing...
ty SJ for ou8/9
missing one 8 and lots of other words
I never heard of ou7, 8. Ou???? Like biology is a contest????lol
Okay, willing to help. Start from the top.
Let's see: bi8, co8x2, ou8(and 9), and re8 -- what you do when you put on a men's formal, collared shirt again.
looking for the re8
Your shirt is inside out. Take it off, fix, the re8 it.
ty got the re8
*Then re8 it....
Next?
I only have ten of the 7s, but that's OK for now. I have all day. :)
Ou8, 9 is one species reproducing more than another...
I only have 3 of the 7's :(
I have co7x3
No worries. I've been at this a while today; started when I woke up at ohgodoclock and couldn't get back to sleep.
Co8 is with family of words... co5, 16...7, 40 is adding an alt ending to y. Then the 8 makes it an adverb or adjective
His blood co7 thru his veins...pt of co word used as a noun to describe a class in college...
Hey, would you tell me how many DOs and DEs and DRs there are?
And then someone explain to me why I'm pretending that this doesn't count as listing! ROTFL
6 de 3 di 13 do 9 dr
Once again: <3
It doesnt... lickety's list says the same....
7 dr
I know. The point is that instead of going to the automated, easy one, I'm bugging you for the same answers and trying to convince myself that it's morally different somehow. :D
9 dr... it is harder to try to do without, but when there are so many words, it gets into so much time.. I just use the list then
This is supposed to be fun, not agonizing....and I seem to get a bit a faster and faster as time goes by...
I have no drr words
Yes, I am definitely better than I used to be, but I'll never be as slick as some of the people here.
I try to find as many as I can without the list. When I get to a halt, I calculate what percent of total I found without list... I try to up that score.
You have no dr words because they are all quite strange....lol.
I am making up words and they are sticking 4 dr words found
Now you have the spirit!! haha
In the kingdom of Drab, they had the Rise and Fall of the Third Dr 6 27.....
ty jai
up to 6 dr words
You will get this by dr5 and drabs, peri
dr ..... 3x 4/5 ... (1) rhymes with the cheese or a village just outside the shire in LOTR ... (2) usually comes with drab
... (3) to beat someone badly in a contest
I'm off to conquer the C in the lower left. Wish me luck, I'm going iiiinnnn *splash*
We are dr**ing this puzzle...dr4 means to endure, to withstand
1 ce, 5 ch, 2 ci, 26 co.....good luck on the cos.

Anyone else struggling out There? No need to do it alone.
Now I've got this puzzle surrounded!

Seriously? I missed THAT word earlier? All the he4/6 I've been given and I missed the word? LMAO
We are all just hi5 he4, he4 here by our love of babble, and the pu6 of motives....lol...
