saw dr john today. he is writing off to workcover for permission to "do" my knee. he also has increased my oxycodone. he had not realised i was on such a baby dose.he is writing to my gp telling her that 20 endone/ month is not over the top for me. also he thinks my foot pain is plantar fasciitis. i need to have orthotics. * mwaaah*

i am on day three of total vocal blowout. I cannot produce a voiced sound AT ALL today -- just whisper. I finally left school early (after testing finished) and went to the doc. He said "Rest, tylenol, don't talk." Yeah, thanks buddy. I can do ONE of those things.

god almighty, I feel so bad for these kids testing today - it's the math state test, and they are LOST.

they all look completely miserable, and I feel so bad for them. This test is SO hard, and they are not the high achieving kids, so they have accommodations to allow them to take it untimed, which means they are miserable for an entire school day, and leave feeling completely AWFUL about themselves. I HATE these stupid tests.
sad stuff. i am a real advocate for trade schools. imagine if they began to learn to be a plumber or electrician or to fix cars in 9th grade. it would be wonderful.
