Clues are up
Thank you Lickety.
If I had ever seen that spelling before, I'd forgotten it.
Thanks, Lickety
Thanks, Sam. The comment about spelling helped.
:)
Ooooopsie. I just went through chat to see if I had all the words listed and I called something that doesn't exist! So sorry, guys.
There's cr 7x3 but only one cr 8

i'm having trouble with the center O

huh. just finished the fives. random.
and now the 6s
have 7 words left: 4 7s, 2 8s, and a 4, lol
you go, girl - I still have lots to find. :)
and also just got nbt/nbs. But I'm watching a cooking show with one eye, slows me up.
now 2 7s, 2 8s, and a 4. but the 7s and 8s are not related, cause i need one more for each letter A, I, O, S, T
funny little grid

hi, insomnia brings me here at this hour.
Hi Melon - insomnia brings be to lots of places - including here. Probably about an hour late with my response though.
I'm usually around either toward the end of a game or at the flip.
Did have a wonderful evening at the Cleveland Orchestra.
Oh - what was that like?
I'm usually around near the beginning of the flip for one reason or another.
Splendid as always. I sprung for the entire season this year. Tonight's program was something else: Haydn Symphony 34—equisite, A new work called Okeanos for organ and orchestra that was a tour-de-force, imaginative, approachable, and just thrilling. They finished with Tchaikovsky Symphony #5. The proncipal winds were esp luscious, in particular the clarinit, Afendi Yusuf, bassoonist John Claoser, and the principal horn, who is as yet unnamed since he is auditioning at this point.
wow
I've never done a whole season before. It is good for my soul to hear the orchestra week in and week out. I am a retired bassist who played for a ballet and opera company here. I miss playing, but have turned my love of music into more listening. Cleveland is a cultural powerhouse.
I cannot say that I can relate to that experience whatsoever - but I am happy for you :)
good morning all
Ugh - my internet is not the best.
Very slow and I respect your appreciation of music Melon.
hiya melon, nice to read how you are enjoying music on a regular basis.
argghhh

hmmm. snubbed. that's fine.

I wish "Babblers" would discuss current national/international news and issues versus the current status of their toe fungus or the like. This is a public forum - so it is for ALL OF US not just YOU.
morning, sprite!
I bet there are plenty forums where you will find just that... feel free to find them
hiya dfm! How's life?
Evening/morning all :)
Hi, sprite!
hi pini!
hiya Pinikula too! And melon, wb.
hiya dfm
hey sprite :)
life is quiet(er), just got back home from europe trip #2! apparently can't stay away from there :)
got the 9 (:
oooh, I'm jealous, dfm!
awesome. I hope you had a grand time, dfm. And welcome back home.
yay melon!
I need to take another trip...just have to find the funds (and perhaps some time)
you people will be commenting and laughing amongst yourselves for days thanks to me. so, you are welcome.
hi, dfm, do tell!
traveling is expensive, but so worth it
I had my BigAdventure four years ago, when I was in Europe for about a month, first time, at the rope old age of 61.
poor poor KimmieDee, KimmyC, Albeit, chernobyl and all others alter egos.
This summer my son and I were in Tel Aviv for a wedding, then Paris. I met up with a babbler in TLV!
Honey - I never HID who I was
EVER
Everything gets discussed here, including current affairs and news etc. But for many of us, this is our release each day from the woes of the world. Besides, some subjects give rise to disagreement, so many of us avoid those topics. Some people, who've been playing for years, are actually quite interested in one another's toe fungus!
so get over yourself
what dofith said
wow melon, that is awesome.
Ok - toe fungus can be a concern
I second/third dofith
Saw the Israel Philharmonic, too, courtesy of this kind witty babbler.
I believe I've checked in at the most inopportune time...perhaps I shall return another time and stay a bit longer. Hoping all are doing well...
I think what I feel is that avoiding topics is not always a good idea
but it seems KimmyC enjoys disrupting chat here, or being abusive, or rude. So it may not help explaining to her/him/it how things work here.
hi & bye, pinikula
No ma'm
abusive?
sorry to see you leave, Pini. Have a good one!
You know what Sprite - you like to have a go at it - but at the end you want to cry and complain about it I think.
yeah, the experiences are great and always nice to see new cultures, even if the language barrier gets harder and harder along the trip -- started in london and traversed the nordics and baltics (oslo-stockholm-helsinki-tallinn-riga) and visited warszawa and berlin before flying home... before germany, the languages got further and further from english and other familiar languages!
whatever you say, Kimmy. Whatever you say.
indeed, dfm. Finnish is not an Indo-European language, for one thig!
ouch yes! Baltic especially... such hard languages, so far removed from english, roman, etc.
My trip was Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Regensburg, Paris, Iceland on each end, AND NYC bookending all that, as I took the train from CLE to NYC> Eurailed the continent.
I believe I can count to three in Finnish... uksi kaksi kolde... or something that sounds like that
I wish I could have been hiding in your luggage melon! Wow, what a trip.
You guys and gals seem like you're having enough fun on your own with this so I bid you a farewell. Job was done well enough for me in my eyes.
I have heard Iceland is very very beautiful
I have found that as I've aged, I prefer to be based in one place and travel from there. Fortunately for us, one of our sons has lived in London, Dubai and Cape Town, so we got enjoy those places for extended stays, and travelled with him further afield. It has spoilt me for any other travel.
google translate was little help in finland either, learning finnish (also estonian) by trial-and-error was interesting
It was a great trip. For five weeks I traveled alone, and anwered to n-one. I told my [grown] kids, "don't call too often!"
dofith, that sounds perfect to me too.
wow melon sounds like fun!
Oh, and on the advice of a very experienced friend, I did this with one carry-on bag and a small shoulder bag. Full disclosure—it was summer. And Yay for Ex Officio travel underwear!
lol melon! Is it hard for your kids to understand you do not always want to answer your phone? My kids actually give me lip if I do not bring my cellphone when walking my dog! Which I never do... why should I want to have telephone convos while walking my te5?
what is travel underwear? Wear and discard?
What a coincidence! Swimming today - Indian Ocean - met a travelling Finnish couple. My first Finns! We discussed Sibelius , amongst other things. Fortunately, His English was excellent.
It all started when my friend in Regensburg, who goes back to music school days said, "I can't believe you've never been to Europe, come see me!" What started out as a two-week trip just grew and grew (thanks, Mom and Dad, wherever you may be_I spent the money!)
sounds like a fun meet, dofith.
hehehe and well spent it is, melon
ooh, this trip started out as a two-week trip to just stockholm and helsinki too, ended up growing into a 5-week trip... funny how all these european cities attract and inflate travel plans!
Travel underwear washes by hand and dries quickly. The Ex Officio is a very breathable nylon. I also one pair of merino woll underpants that were very comfortable, but disintegrated when I accidentally machine washed them after I got home.
For me it was this: I hate flying, so I figured, if I'm going, I'm staying for a while!
europe is amazing. Every country and big city has its own character. Very different all the time.
Sprite and melon - others not attached to their phones? I have given everyone their own ringtones; I only answer the ones I feel I must talk to!
ouch. Merino wool is expensive. Very very soft though.
My cousins and I want to visit the ancestral home in southern Italy, A little town called Ripacandida.
The "do not feed the troll" trick has worked, perhaps?
flying to europe from u.s./canada is relatively expensive too (but not as much as australia/NZ) so might as well take advantage of cheaper inter-european travel, right?
Trying to remember the brand name of the Merino undies. . . ah! Icebreakers. Yes expensive.
hehehe good thinking, dofith! Yep, not attached to my phone. I have it for my use, not to please others. I am from the generations that only had a home-based phone with the hearing part attached by a cord... and rotary phone...
you got that right, dfm. Now, back to the grid for me for a few min!
should look into travel wear, have never travelled without lugging around >10kg of clothing and sounds very freeing!
I am not rude to people unless they have been rude to me first.
perhaps, dofith. Not completely yet though.
dofith, yep, not getting on the troll-y car!
oooops. . .
lol
I can imagine the crude names my husband will give to merino knickers1
*giggles* gooooo mr dofith!
Me and my big mouth!
if I ever go on an extended trip again, I will make sure I check into the underwear thingy. Sounds indeed freeing.
Also, Toad & Co dresses are made for travel. Comfy, flattering, non-wrinkly. I had one that was an empire waist in Tencel. Very nice.
Bonjour. l'm sorry that l missed the firewoks.
bonjour!
Maybe here in Oz we might produce merino knickers, and Rose can take some to you next month, Sprite. She'll get a few laughs out of the effort, anyway!
Toad & Co, funny name
Well well, I show up again when ... Hi everyone! I will attest that Icebreaker merino wool are the most comfortable underlayer garments I own! Some even have moth holes...but no one can see, so only I know, hahaha!
The best merino comes from OZ, dofith!
hehehe lol dofith! It is a great idea. Rose is always in for a good laugh.
*hugs Kam* Hello dear one, how are you doing? Is Michael back home with you? How was his dad doing?
crat
So, Sprite, actually, I traveled with one device, my tablet. I had Skype, internet, and camera. The thing about the kids not calling was mostly a joke. Seriously, I would wish for anyone totake an extended trip alone.
whoops
Yes, he only went overnight this last time, but Dad isn't answering his phone. Niece talked to him and he said he "doesn't feel like answering." He is depressed, and that's not good.
Kam, I am considering buying a few pair. Just have to remember to hand wash.
Yes, Kam - Oz used to ride on the sheep's back, so they said. Had a pet (merino) lamb once; fell off the back of a truck, literally. My Dad had been out in the night delivering a baby and came home with the lamb and spun me a weird story linking the two events!
it is really different, isn't it, melon, to travel alone. People react so differently to you, I have always found. More open, very hospitable, and being alone makes one experience the surroundings different too.
I put in those "delicate" bags that zip up and wash on gentle, then hang dry. They
bonjour ruby! hi Kam!
are expensive! But wash well that way
no, that is not good indeed, Kam, am so sorry. The transition is hard on him, it seems.
Hi dfm
all true, sprite. I liked being a stranger in a strange land. Someone said I was brave to travel alone. I had to laugh. I told them, for me, brave would be traveling with someone for five weeks. I relished my solitary adventures.
such expensive underwear is worth washing on hand
melon, I would love that too! Jealous!
So - this is what the "bitchy" lunch table is like.

You all do realize that you're very bitchy - right?
Snotty in a way?
still no sign of the nine, rhyme not intended.
so, nbt eludes me! missing center column O and E(bottom row) as well 4th row, 2nd column R,
I got a nine! Lookin...
to6/8/9/7
or4/4 is from the middle one
to9
thanks melon and dofith
centre column 0 - oa...
centre O includes oa5/10
I got or6/18, kinda fancy, eh?
and I think that R is re6/18 ripped again
yay melon! :)
isn't it too early to give out clues?
ripped again is top R...
Yep, dfm
nope, I have that re, it actually comes from the top row R. When a letter repeats this many times, NBT is tricky!
This is where is should start telling you all about my horrid hangnail and my unhappy marriage while I tell you that I am brewing tea.
you are right, sorry. Let me see.
bottom R is what you might call a lion? ro6/18
re5 went fast again?
Thank you, dfm!!!
or old TV shows, pt
thanks dfm, for that one
sprite, yes, that, or shown on TV again (:
and thanks for yours sprite!

OM, just need that bottom row E!
There is a difference between a "troll" and someone who is just telling you like it is. Learn the difference people.
I was trying for something everlasting, but that was probably Latin, since it rejected.
that is the one, melon. Try another end vowel
thank you, sprite. Thought I had tried that one, musta notta.
I could be very, very cruel if I really wanted to be. That is the difference between me and a "troll".
or typoed it by accident. Happens to me a lot, anyway.
nbt/nbs with a little help from my friends.
thx, sprite!
I am a typo type. Amazing that I can play piano.

OK, my cat is patting me now. It's 4 am-ish here, feeding time! brb
ouch, that is nightish to me, lol
4 am is a time one should never see from either end.
so true. But babble is a good thing when we do
yes it is.
it's the same time here, but used to sleeping around 05.00 (yay sleep disorders!)
insomnia is a lady dog
I don't often have sleep issues, but every once in a while. . .
time for me to go sleep. G'nite all and have a peaceful day or night. Good to "see" my Babble friends.
time for me to go sleep. G'nite all and have a peaceful day or night. Good to "see" my Babble friends.
night night, dear Kam, and *hugs* to you
it's both insomnia and delayed sleep phase disorder here, DSPD means that a 04.00-09.00 sleep is more comfortable than 00.00-05.00 and insomnia just likes to push it back further
that is not a fun thing, dfm :(
good night Kam! should maybe think about heading to bed too
fake and "lady dogs" tend to go hand in hand. ((((((((hugs))))))))))
I usually sleep pretty okay. Broken ankles and nightmares notwithstanding.
yikes, broekn ankles? nightmares?
Myself, I'm a world champion napper.
ah, passed the halfway mar (:
13 7s, 4 8s, and the 9.
nightmares because of CPTSD. Pretty much used to that. The broken ankle part is new, broke one on feb 13 and severely contused the other one, so was in two casts for a couple of weeks. Now only one, and it is a walking cast, so life is much more fun again.
wow melon, good job
are you still recovering from that sprite? :( aww
Oh, my. Wishing you speedy complete healing, and relief, dear spriote!
doc says it will be 6 months before I can navigate stairs again. I am gonna prove him wrong, grin. Am already in a walking cast, next milestone will be losing that too and starting exercising. I want to be able to drive again by May, when Rose comes visiting.
thanks melon!
wow, accidentally got ir6 as in even more pissed off! I did not know that was a word!
enable is always surprising, lol, even after all these years
I haven't been to Lickety yet_that shold be interesting, probably 30+ re's what say?
nope, just 11!
Some people are so quick to turn on others - what a great social experiment this all has been. Some people seem so kind but will quickly show their teeth.
oh wow... a double rainbow over the landscape here, against an almost black sky. So beautiful.
We had an amazing double rainbow a few months back. My son and I were headed to a park to watch the sun set over the lake. I saw the rainbow in my rear view mirror. When we got to the park, it was still going strong. Everyone was stading in slackjawed silence marveling at this complete double rainbow, arcing from Lake Erie and over the coty. Then. . . between the two rainbows were bolts of lightning. All that and we made a new friend by starting aconversation.
oh my, that is even prettier, melon. Sounds gorgeous. Nature at its best.
What was amazing was how ong this rainbow lasted. I first saw it as I entered the freeway, got to the lake some 15 minutes later, and it persisted for I'd say another 20 min. Funny thing is, of course it was opposite the sunset. I kept turning my head—sunset, rainbow, sunset, rainbow. . .
a pretty high arch too, I bet, when it was during sunset.
fireflies. Lovely grid and even more lovely chat. Thanks, babble friends. Have a blessed day and a peaceful night. *leave hug in chog for rose to find*
(((((sprite)))))
(((((HUG))))) to rose cuz Sprite said so!
signing off. Will turn on quite music and hope to snooze.
Lovely catching up with you. besos!
