Thank you Sprite. Control F5 worked. I have reached an age that I can't remember hardly anything about computers.

1:28 am

np Smdnjv, glad to help

1:32 am

Is it just me, or does this grid have loads of babblets in it?

1:32 am

lots of babblets and not enough Hs

1:32 am

I want lots of words like sight etc

1:34 am

Most grids seem to be missing a letter I want, lol!

1:34 am

The last few have been pretty fun

1:34 am

lol true. We need Lori with her purple crayon. She changed the letters for use.

1:34 am

for us*

1:35 am

each grid has its own charm to me. Even the little stinkers. The only grids I do not much like are the very easy very small ones. Over too soon.

1:35 am

Guess that was before my time

1:36 am

yeah or on a time you usually do not play. Lori is still around.

1:37 am

I like most, but when I see 70 some words, oh well...the next one will be better. Guess we're due for a smaller one - loved the big one yesterday because I had hours to kill, and it worked out perfectly!

1:38 am

True - I don't usually come back after I finish until the next flip

1:38 am

I have been playing for so long, most grids go fast enough. And then, one comes along where I get stuck and hit a brick wall before halfway, lol.

1:39 am

May I ask...did you grow up speaking English? You rip through grids I find tough so fast!

1:41 am

OK, won't ask.

1:41 am

no, I didn't. I learned english from 12 yo on, at school. Somehow it clicked with me though. Of course, the Netherlands are so small that we need to speak english. And I read english almost exclusively nowadays.

1:47 am

you may ask anything you want, Kam. Might not always answer, but ask away ;)

1:48 am

My daughter has her kids in Dual Immersion -English/Spanish. They live in So California, so Spanish is a valuable language to know. I tried to get her to become fluent, and she finally did - as an adult. She now teaches English as a second language in high school.

1:49 am

:)

1:49 am

awesome! I have been able to give my kids the same fluency I have acquired. Read english with them from very young ages, built it up and they both benefit from it still. Both are on international universities.

1:51 am

for my daughter it was easy, she is as alpha as I am. For Tim it was a blessing, he has no head for languages but he is fluent in english because of the early practise.

1:53 am

Early learning is so important - kid's brains are like sponges in so many ways!

1:53 am

Early learning is so important - kid's brains are like sponges in so many ways!

1:54 am

absolutely. My daughter enjoyed the english experiment so much, she continued with german. Read heaps of books in german. Started with harry potter, just like we did with english.

1:54 am

I took French in high school and college, but never became fluent - I've never known (anyone except the teacher) who even spoke French. I think I learned more Spanish from the jobs I worked when I was young.

1:55 am

hello. help pls with the gi7

1:55 am

my french is not to write home about either. Just a bit of school french left, and no fluency at all.

1:56 am

6:50 am

6:51 am

7:15 am

7:17 am

It's like milkweed

7:20 am

It works in my garden but tends to propagate all over the place

I hate ps words.

11:56 am

I must say, this is my first official time to actually know how to spell the ga 4/8 and ga6/33 pair - though I've used the words many, many times. Things are always getting ga 6up and sticky (or just messed up) in my world, lol

11:57 am

I know I've told my kids before "you're ga4-ing that all up, ewww"

11:58 am

wonder if it's a regional term...

12:00 pm

The definition says "Chiefly South Midland and Southern U.S." Which makes sense since that is not my area and I have never heard of the term.

12:02 pm

but I grew up in the upper midwest, just south of Iowa, wonder how I picked it up. No known ancestors from the south, but that doesn't mean there weren't any. :D

12:25 pm

I've heard it like chewing and bubble spelling, never heard it pronounced this way

12:40 pm

yay, that's me done. Off to see what's been ga 6 up in my absence, haha...

12:50 pm

huh. i figured out that ga6, but have never seen nor heard it.

1:34 pm

Howdy, neighbors.

1:46 pm

How's tricks, Gimpy?

1:55 pm

Pffth. Gimpy is the word.

1:56 pm

Still hoping for a speedy recovery.

1:59 pm

Yay. Fireworks!

1:59 pm

Thankful for all the clues in chat!~
