it is raining too which is no surprise lol
We had our share on the weekend but since new flowers were plants, it was a good thing

Thanks, zooz. Hope you are all well there.
We are all as well as we are ever going to be, Gapeach LOL GThank you for asking. I hope you are keeping well?
Not sure how that G got in that sentence.
Still dizzy. But hanging on. People are coming to work on the house in a few hours....I probably should try to sleep. Later
Hello peach, I look forward to seeing you!
each day
Sorry you are still suffering with the dizzy spells. Hope you can get some sleep. Hope the peeple working on the house does a good job for you ((Gapeach)) Great to see you. Keep well.
WORKMEN!!!
Do you have stairs in your house, Peach?? The most important thing is not falling
santa
Not that time of the year, Ruby. But it is fast approaching!
The nurse from "Hospital at Home" (HAD) just delivered all my (many) drugs.
Ooh so you have got you bag of sweets!
Every word I enter cause the babble screen to disappear and I have to start over
Have you enlarged the screen, Ruby?
They give me all the serious drugs about which they are hysterical in the US -- even Fentanyl, all of it paid for by the gov't
I have to enlarge it every time I enter a word
it is taking twice as long to play
quips
That is probably why it seems to disappear then. Maybe it is going back to the starting point of where you enter the word maybe. Must be very frustrating.
shoot me!
I had just entered that word before you typed it, Rubyq LOL

hello nono
Hello, NonoNanette! I have not seen you on here for a long time. I hope you are keeping well!

I always hated that song
it came out when I was a kid and I was even sh5-er then compared to my classmates
no reason to live my ass :D
i used to be 6' but i'm shrinking :D
My friend's wife is so sh5 she shops in the boys department for jeans.
I used to be 5'2" but I'm shrinking :D Now if my waistline would just shrink ...
I used to be 5' 3.75" but it's possible I'm 5' 3.5" now. My mom used to be 5'5" but is now 5' 2" so I need to do something.
Same here, was 5'4", now 5'2"
never works that way, does it, origami
gosh.. i'm playing this game with dwarfs :D
No dwarf here Ru. My legs are 4 feet long : D
:D
Collapsing vertebrae
My legs are disproportionately long and my torso is disproportionately sh5.
that's better than the other way around
well, not always. it makes you look fatter.
One of my sister's was 5'11" and my mother was 5'9" (quite tall for her generation). I'm the only sh5 one in my family.
my brother was 6' 3" i got ripped off
My sister was a print ad model and I can barely see over the steering wheel
Yeah, my dad was only 5' 8"ish. He's really sh now because he has Parkinsons and can't stand up all the way. My bros were 5' 11" and 6', but they have shrunk a little.
My boys are 6 ft, 6' 2" and 6' 4". That is the youngest who is the tallest.
I come from a amily of "kierchicks" Yiddish for short
My boys are 5' 10.5" and 5' 11". Hoping they will still grow some more but I think the 19 yo may be done.
I blame it on being mostly Welsh
i grew up a lot when i was 17-18.. i was really short through most of high school
I've never measured height in additional decimals.
and I had big feet so people called me bilbo
at least I hope it was bilbo :D
My youngest wears a size 13, Ru. He is my gentle giant.
I wish I was taller
my son had size 13.5 shoes as a teen and for some reason now he says he can wear 12.5........but he is also 5 ft 11 inches so it doesnt look strange. my grandson is over 6 feet now and his shoes are size 12.
i swim and stretch all the time and am still 5ft 6 and always was.
My oldest wears a 9 but the youngest wears an 11. This generation of girls has way bigger feet too.
i agree that kids seem to be getting bigger and bigger.....very interesting.
molly, when you are sh you measure in additional decimals. also, when you take your kids to well checks, they measure in decimals.
off to work.
have a good day at work!
men measure everything in decimals :D
I thought they just rounded everything way up
It has been years since I took a kid to a well check up. Back then, no decimals.
LOL hokie
My kids were born big (9, 10 and 11 pounds) and stayed big. They were always off the growth charts when I took them for check ups.
i was a 10.5 lb baby but i wasn't off the growth charts
First ta7?
gone with the wind ta7
my kids were big babies too and then dropped off the bottom of the growth chart. the youngest was over 9 lbs and was so chunky - huge cheeks, roly poly legs and arms. then he just kept getting skinnier. currently he is 5' 11" and 122 lbs.
122? wow.. that is skinnny
Ru, you probably were. Average weight for a 2 month old is your birth weight.
ruru isn't that a 4?
yep, it's kinda crazy
mlf - sun kissed skin + gone with the wind house
2 th's left here! cannot see.
ty
hokie I have two of them both 's
*Makes a note to change my "sun browned skin" to "sun kissed skin"
3 now
th 7/36, pls
:D molly
my oldest was almost 9 lbs, but he was 15 days late, so he would've been more average had he been on time
bichon pl of the 6 above it
bichon, first or second? first one is one of my missing words
i don't know how much i weighed at birth but my height .. i am shorter then i should be as i had some taken off my spine
first one, do you have the second?
2nd is like mlfan said, plural of 6 above it
My 11 pound son was also two weeks late. He was purple when he was born. Body bruise from a vaginal delivery when he was so big and should have been a section.
so i don't have the other one?
yeah, mine ended up in NICU and was a giant baby in there compared to the preemies
the first th 7/36 is like a statement to be proved...think geometry....
ah, of course, thx
i jut found a th 7/44
You sure it wasn't Prince Molly?
the one that you hear on dr shows all the time?
pen is that he first 5 letters of the word?
fireworks!!
MLF...i don't know what you mean....
speaking of my eldest, he is home on fall break and wants to play ping pong. TTFN!!
I gave a definition not a clue....
congratshokie
like a hypothesis?
think geometry....
all letters are in the top right quadrant of the grid....
i was right about the first 5 ty pen
Wow, it is early October. There is a fall break already?
ty pen
schools around here start in mid-august...which is odd for those of us that always started after labor day
rt earlier in the South. Here they startt the last days in Aug.
Kids in our area get winter break and spring break. No fall break.
Some words are in these grids so often, I feel like I need to make a list of them and just type them all in before I start looking on my own.
question... what do think of a school system that makes the kids sell fundraisers... my great grandaughter's school wants her to sell cookie dough which makes 50 cookies for 117 dollars !~!
17 dollars that is
i think it is outrageous
I am very against kids selling things for fund raisers. I think the schools should just ask parents to contribute without the pizza kits, wrapping paper, cookie dough, etc.
... are they raising money for school operations or for a special project?
And the worst are parents you work with, trying to get you to buy their kids fund raising items.
... and I'll buy Molly's point ... you need just one kid to get drawn into a house and disappear to ruin everything
my 6 year old great grand came home crying because of what her teacher said about he not being able to sell this crap !!~!
That is awful, SMom. Kids should not be pressured to sell things.
and there is no way in hell she is going to go door to door with or without an adult
... quite right ... but I used to get 78 and 8 year olds coming to the door on their way home from school ...
I don't know what "used to get" means, but it is a different world now. It is not safe for kids to go door to door selling things.
... which is why it has pretty much stopped around here ....
Schools need to come up with different ideas for fund raisers, other than forcing kids/parents to sell things.
SMom, many other parents and grandparents are fed up with schools pushing sales projects on young children.
doesn't anyone want to say, I DO support the school. I pay taxes I mean, if the band is going to the rose parade, that's different I guees, but when i'm told "it's for computers" in a public school...
Great, if the band is going to The Rose Parade, have a car wash, or a pancake supper or something that people who want to contribute can participate in.
i agree. may i share an anecdote? for their whole school careers i bought things from my coworkers for their kids' projects. i came in once to sell for our adult softball team, and the same person told me he did not think it a worthy cause. seriously.
and it was only a dollar raffle ticket!
That sucks. If someone is nice enough to support your kids fundraiser, you should return the favor when they ask of you.
people are funny. as a veteran of parochial school, i well knew what it was like to sell stuff. but we were never allowed to go door to door. only for those girl scout cookies. but only in the neighborhood, and were told to avoid certain houses.
Door to door sales has been dead for years. No one answers their door for strangers anymore, or what looks like someone selling something.
i've given up halloween. people drop off van loads in our development. bigger kids don't even dress up. my neighbors do not have young children. i don't see the point.
i mean. i loved to see my neighbors' kids in costume, decorated, handed out candy. but teenage strangers?
I ignored a man in a purple suit with bling clutching a bible the other day who came by the house twice.
The only people I get knocking on our door are people looking for $1 so they can get a sandwich. I always tell them we don't keep cash on hand, but I always have bread and peanut butter if they want me to fix them asandwich. No one ever wants a peanut butter sandwich...
seriously, bea? do you live in a city?
I'm serious. Yes, I live in a city.
If I was seriously hungry, I would say yes to the peanut butter sandwich.
Well, we know it is for a tall bottle/can of some bad beer...
we get those kids with petitions and roof/siding people. but they need to have permits. they are very persistent, i must say, and have been forced to order them off my property more times than i should have to. they just will not take no for an answer.
And thank you to the person who gave it to me.
i was sitting with a friend at an infamous steak shop in south philly when a man approached for $ for food. my friend tried to give him her french fries and hald a steak sandwich. the offer was not accepted.
I finally found dawg's po6! My last...See you all next time!
yay bea!
Yes, when people won't accept food in place of money, it is a pretty safe bet they want the money for drugs or alcohol.
this is just a mini-break in college (2 days off). we certainly didn't have them when I was in college but all the ones I know of now in NC & VA have them. this is the earliest of my son's group of friends. several are next weekend.
Oops, now we are back to Fall break
probably because of yom kippur
there ia a mission to homeless in the city that provides cards to hand to people giving them their address and telling them they can get a meal and services around the center city.
they suggest this in lieu of $
well, the chatterbox has no way of responding directly to a message
i am struggliing to do yard work begfore our storm and my later week trip. bb sporadically.
this grid took a bit of work.
I just did some yard work earlier and gave up. encroaching bermuda grass is just incredibly annoying.
i paid for aerating andreseeing and there has been no rain since. the lawn guys say there is tons of lawn disease this year because of wet srping then dry hot aug/sept
Could someone please clue the first po 6/24? I have the second one.
posher
Habes … only have the one like the spice girl...
sorry, wrong window
ugh
I haven't listed yet, but I think it's the one that builds off the po5/12. To take a stand.
It is a plural
I have a po6/21 that builds off that word
Yes, that's the one I have
And the other similar, but leave out a vowel
The first po6/24 starts like Hawaiian dish made of taro and ends with a laugh sound
Sorry, plural of the Hawaiian dish
Oh no...s
Oh no....Santa is not in the dictionary...😥
Bingo, Molly. Thank you.
neither is Donner, blitzen, etc mp :D
but don't let that sleigh your drive to try it again later
help with ph6 pls
stuck with 9 left
found ph6 .
7 th words to find
and done
Congrats!!
Actually, most of the reindeer are in the dictionary (dasher, dancer, prancer, vixen, comet, and cupid). Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph are the only ones who aren't.
Clue please for the first PE 5/12?
french dad + vowel
ty Hurshy!
And just to further the reindeer thing, donder, which is the original spelling of Donner, is also in the dictionary.
Well, Babble says donder isn't in the dictionary.
i'm more fond of Vixen and Blitzed
pisher is so a word! yiddish word...
please clue the ph 6 word. ty.
also any clues for the T words for the T in first column? i have only one word for that so far. ta 4 4.
sause for fish and its plural...
oops. sauce.
also, Scottish plaid.
last column E clue, please?
I think it was er 5/10 - to make disappear
or ep 4/5
I found one, but thanks. How I missed that er 5 ican't tell you!
I only have two there so far, haha.
ty for the ta clues. got them! great clues.
gingin i got the sauce even with the wrong spelling. no issue. ty
just had some of that sauce today - went to one of the few remaining local Long John Silver's. Example of silly small giggles - laughing to myself while announcing to the family, "got Long John Silverfish for ya!"
