Schools are supposedly going to reopen next month. My question is, is the vvirus oing to be gone next month?
No, but the thought is if you can slow or stop the rate at which new cases occur then by April 5 the non-life threatening cases that presently exist should be just about over and the contagion is reduced enough to reopen the schools and go back to work.

My sympathy is with parents of school age children who will have to take off work because schools and daycares are closed

I went to the store yesterday because I actually needed TP, all that was left was some cheap scratchy stuff that you could write your grocery list on
I get groceries delivered because I have mobility problems. Now they are saying they will drop the bags at your door rather than put them in the kitchen. Also, they are going to go to online paying, which is bad for me because I don't have a credit card, I use my debit card. At least I have more than 2 weeks of groceries coming on Sunday.
I don't need TP, but I am a little worried about not having 2 weeks of groceries. heading out after coffee to see what I can scrounge up.and FTR, I could stretch what we have out for 2 weeks but I told the youngest he might have to try some new foods.
and I've been eating like I'm on the Titanic while it's going down. probably gained 5 lbs.
Anyway, I am not staying home. Still going to the wellness center attached to a senior's home. They have been making sure people use sanitizer for a while, more so now.
I am only skipping the gym today because it was like 3am before I could fall asleep last night.
I have the old standby of spaghetti and pasta sauce if I run short. I have also ordered stewing beef and ground turkey so I can make dishes that provide several meals.
I stayed home today because it is very windy out today.

I got a package in the mail today, I opened it and threw the package away , washed my hands and then sanitized everything :) I have a few wipes left, not much though. Maybe going to far but who knows.

we quit using debit card after an incident in our early 20s when we were broke. we used the debit card for plane tix and then they did a hold and a charge before reversing the hold, so we got double charged and had like $1.50 left.

I got rid of a credit card after someone got my number and joined the Book of the Month Club and other clubs. They would not stop that from renewing so I ended up calling the card company every single month to take the charges off. I eventually just cancelled the entire account.
Well, if they stop, I can contact a community org that will have people do your food shopping for you for a small price.

It's disturbing to me that, as vigilant as the modern world seems to be, no one could prevent the spread of this bug. As long as there are countries like China and North Korea that are secretive, pandemics are bound to happen.

I was just at the pharmacy to get a prescription and alcohol (I do want to make some hand sanitizer to carry in my car). They were out of alcohol. I went to the grocery store for food and they are out of alcohol also. Just for ducks I checked and they were also out of TP, paper towels, alcohol and Lysol.
They did have a couple of bottles of bleach, though :D
yeah, I went to the grocery this morning and the whole paper product aisle was empty. bleach was very close to being gone. luckily I don't need those things. I did not check alcohol.
I did break 4 hard ciders when I was trying to rearrange stuff in my garage fridge too.

I would ask her if they can move that appointment out about a month. It might be okay at a podiatrist. But, I just wouldn't want to take a chance for someone in that age group...

Mammograms are sadistic diagnostic tools created by men who hate women. There has GOT to be a better way to scan breasts for cancer than that.

hey Jan. true re U/S. i have FM, particularly in my shins and, you guessed it, breasts. cannot bear any sort of constant pressure. with the U/S at least i can say to the technician, can we back off a bit for a rest?
