Yes, Her name was Jasmine (Jazz, Jazzy Girl) We lost her this February. She started to show signs of being sick while my husband and I were in Jamaica. She Died of Acute Kidney Failure (ARF) We tried hard to save her but could not. It was pretty devastating. She was a great dog!

I double my dose from Oct-Apr and take 10000 units daily.
we up our dosage all winter anyway because it is too cold to be outside in the sunshine (when we get some)

For most people 800IU should be sufficient. You only need higher doses if a blood test shows you are very deficient.
I am taking 1000 Vit D and there is some in my multivitamin. I am thin tho.

You think menopause is bad... try being put on an aromatase inhibitor to prevent breast cancer recurrence... I literally lost my mind. Couldn't remember my own phone number. Went off it and have been on Tamoxifen instead which permits postmenopausal estrogen production but blocks the receptor on the cell surface.

You drove your car to the store and enter without gloves... you've already touched surfaces that might not be so sterile. Wouldn't gloving as you enter the store help protect you and others from virus?

I think homemade masks wouldn't hurt. As far as the gloves. You touch something the germs are on the gloves. then you touch your face. or your phone or whatever. you are just better off washing your hands and not touching your face.
I agree natasha -- I'm going with our federal and provincial health officers -- wear a mask, wear gloves, social distance but stay home except when absolutely necessary. That means only residents enter your home - not even other family members. Until we have a vaccine, it is the only way we will hold this virus off.

It's not the only way, sadly, but our societies have failed to implement the other way we might tamp down this fire: widespread testing, contact tracing, and isolation of infections.
The beauty of wearing gloves in the store is that you can peel them off and deposit them in the garbage bin on your way out.
We totally blew the early testing opportunity that could have kept this fire banked.
That is certainly being done here, Natasha, to the extent that supplies will allow -- more test kits arriving every day and the tracing and isolation is certainly being done.

Another 3 weeks of lockdown just announced here. Until May 5th. I stood in line for an hour and 45 minutes yesterday to do my grocery shopping, and when I eventually got in, there was no fresh fruit, veg, eggs or milk.

I think that's more an expression of frustration more than anything from people who are politically active, but there's also a decent amount that are less politically motivated, particularly younger people

The other thing I'd point out is that in the UK system, there are many more affiliations that you can vote for...for instance in scotland there's the SNP whereas in the US, is large just two party system

I always vote when the time comes to vote. I have no expert knowledge on the subject either. What I do feel is that if you do not vote and then a person/party gets in and you are not happy about it then you shouldn't really be moaning about it as you never bothered to vote. The one thing I do not like here is that it is not a one vote means a single vote as such. A party only need to get a certain percentage to take that area so some areas will win a seat over another party that would need to get double the amount of votes to obtain the same seat.
It shoud be all votes for one party added altogether and one vote for the other party whom ever gets the most votes should be the one declared the winner.

Molly, where i was there had been only one case of covid-19. it was safe for me to wait until all the panic traveling was over and then make my way home. i sat in Sydney airport for three hours. probably saw 30 people maximum. on the plane we were all sat with a seat between us.
at least you can do Face Time bea. my grandies are all away camping. *sigh* it's going to be a weird Easter for me. no church, no family get-together, no easter egg hunt, and no family except his dear self.

Yes, I do, but it seems to be mild at least at this point. Been sick since Monday, got Tested on Tuesday, got the result on Thursday. There were positive cases in my facility so I was able to get approval to get tested.
