I used to, Molly. Space did become an issue. Once you packed them and moved them once, the shine is off the penny. I gave some away and donated the rest. Now I buy them at the used book store and take them back there or just give them to Goodwill, depending on my mood.

We have book and clothing donation bins in several grocery store parking lots. Their drop in slots are such that people cannot dumpster dive.
Ours are very well maintained and emptied regularly. Never overflowing.

I worked for awhile for Salvation army and they do have to sanitize most things already especially furniture and mattresses
i would think they have a central processing center. i worked at habitat. they sprayed and put it out.
no specials tags, just a spray and right out on the floork processed on the spot.
we had to tag them but I am in Texas so different states may have different requirments

I was lucky in the toilet paper area. I had just purchased a big package at Costco before all this started. Now bleach, disinfecting wipes, lysol, etc. is another story.

so if you play a lot of other word games, scrabble, whatnot, then, you may be familiar with certain words that use Q without U, usually from arabic, like "suq". well, i just tried "suqs" and it says "suqs" does not exist in the puzzle. but you only get that message if it IS in the enable dictionary. so, it is there but we can NEVER GET IT because babble only uses a QU tile, never Q by itself!

It's been bizarre the things that the supermarket I order from has been out of--like shallots. Who's buying up tiny onion-like stuff? Surely it won't show up on ebay...Also lemons, sadly. I've ordered them three times in the past six weeks and not gotten them. I promised myself I wouldn't order groceries from Whole Foods--Jeff Bezos is rich enough--but if my local market doesn't get lemons back in stock soon, I can't promise my resolve won't weaken...

I do about 90% of my shopping through Amazon. Anything to keep me out of the stores that are filled with clueless, goober shoppers.
We have no choice, really. At least, those of us that are serious about social distancing. And, given that my husband and I are both of the high risk age, and he is immune-compromised to boot, we haven't been out of the house since March 5th.
We even ordered our garden seeds and starts online, though from Territorial Seeds, not Amazon. We got most of the seeds we ordered, and our little tomato starts arrived today! It's still way to early to plant them out, so they will live along our kitchen window for a couple of weeks.
I am running out of patience with people who stand staring at grocery store shelves for 5-10 minutes. Make a list, get what you need and move on.
My daughter says that road rage is being replaced these days with 'store rage' due to the idiots who can't get with the program.
I have had to take the one hanging basket of flowers I bought in, three times this month due to freeze warnings. We NEVER have freeze warnings in April.
I like store rage. The only reason I'm glad I'm wearing a mask is that I can curse people silently beneath my mask. I don't believe they are effective in keeping germs in or out, but that's just me. If it makes other people happy, I will play along.

I think they are likely better at keeping germs in than out. At least, that's what my friends in Hong Kong believe. But if we admitted that they provide almost no protection for the wearers, people wouldn't wear them just to protect others. So, by pretending they might protect the wearer, we encourage asymptomatic COVID positive folks to wear masks.

I still have my stash of disposable masks back from when I was visiting Hong Kong during the SARS epidemic. Even though they are supposed to be disposable, you can reuse them as long as they aren't soiled, as long as you leave them alone to decontaminate themselves for a few days. I rummaged around in the closet and found we had six of them--so I gifted two of them to our next door neighbor, who goes out to the shops occasionally.
And, on a less morbid note, I'm down to 22 words. So I will declare partial victory and get back to clearing out the downstairs closet!
I am also getting tired of the piggish people who are disposing of their latex gloves by dumping them in the parking lots of the grocery stores.

i keep thinking i am getting sick. it's nerve wracking. I've been out to shop twice this week. it's necessary to go to mutilple store to find things. still cannot find dish detergent.
It is so frustrating and maddening that so many things are still hard to find! I mean I went to Costco today and they did not have any toilet paper! Now gloves and thermometers and rubbing alcohol are hard to find!
