I totally agree Ro. They’re words - not hurtful in themselves. It’s how they are used which can make them derogatory or hurtful.
I'm with LIz and rolin. They are words and words that exist. Everything is in context, but a sequence of letters without context (i.e. not used as a slur or as offense) is not evil in itself.

What N word? Negro? It is considered a proper noun. The other N word, much more offensive, is accepted. I agree with Liz, Rolin and Matty. Words are words. It is how they are used that denotes meaning. And dictionaries are here to define, not judge, words.

I don't think there is any falling out. It's okay for people to express different opinions. It's only when people insist you agree with them, or take offense when you disagree, that there is a problem. Fortunately we only have a little of that here.

It kind of baffles me that people are happy to say 'effing' (or to hear it) but have conniptions when they hear f*ck (even I'm censoring it in deference to the curtain twitchers). I also laugh when videos blur out a middle finger - even when it's been raised accidentally
It's been my experience that people do what they were trained to do. If they were trained to GASP at profanity, they do. Most people, while they don't use it constantly, are not offended by it.
Gotta admit, I can have a potty mouth when so inclined ;) But I do temper it depending on the audience, obviously

Haven't been wear4 mine, but put it on today.
I was actually taking a strength training class 1x/week before the quarantine. But I've never been much of a gym rat
So I've been just running up and down my stairs a few times a day... and walking the dog but that barely counts as exercise since we need to stop-and-sniff a lot.
I've warned my co-workers that I will be going back to work in PJs because even leggings make me look like a boiled egg with a rubber band around it, lol.
I take the goats up and down the driveway - we call it either goat cardio or goat zoomies, depending on their moods
or as Mr. B calls it, expressing themselve

Weird weather patterns this year. We still have cardinals (who should have migrated in March), the May berries (black berries) have all run their phase and have been over for about three weeks (usually ripe in mid-May) and I still keep open windows instead of A/C for the most part (would be 24/7 but husband disagrees, lol)…
we have the exact opposite. amelu - weeks behind, temp wise, i think we had the coldest and rainiest april on record
I like the cooler weather because the blossoms stayed on the redbuds, dogwoods, lilacs, etc. much longer instead of falling after just a few days.
The last 2 months have been glorious here for a change. It's just now starting to maintain 80 degree temps regularly. my statement to friends when the plague hit was that just as it starts to wind down and people quit hoarding everything we're gonna start hurricane season. 27 days out. Pretty sure we're gonna see some action this year (hoping not) because this weather has been totally unpredictable... I think we've had maybe 4 days of independent monsoons and only recently got out from under a burn ban.
