I have been having a recurring dream that I have a pet duck. He was litter box trained. Actually started thinking I would get a duck but learned they can not be trained. <sigh>
it really causes problems with water quality - the nitrogen runs into the ponds and causes algal blooms eventually killing the pond

I have a friend that has a rescue for chickens that no longer lay eggs.
I guess when they stop laying eggs, there is only one other use for them. *Starts craving fried chicken

When you adopt the rescue girls, they aren't guaranteed to lay but we've been lucky. But, and this is when I jump on my soapbox, all hens in egg laying farms here in the uk are sent to slaughter at 18 months of age.

I wonder how all this remote teaching will impact grades and test scores.
I wonder how it will change the way we look at school.
So much of my school experiences was the actual interaction. I can't imagine going through it all remotely.
Over here, they are talking about getting some primary age children back to school soon, but getting them to stay distant
My daughter teaches 6th grade. They are talking about splitting the class and they come on alternate days,
I don't know what size classes you have but ours are normally around 30, and they want around 8, so it would be one day a week almost
It has got to be hard for kids. No school, no dance class, no baseball.

The kids in my neighborhood see thier friends all the time. They run the streets all day.

Here the government have schemes to keep people employed whilst they pay the wages instead of the company, but of course we will have to pay higher taxes to pay for it

Yes Molly it was not fair that she suffered so...luckily my husband never had pain in his two year battle, there were other things but we managed and he died peacefully holding my hand. join me please babble friends in a prayer / shout / happy dance for my sister-in-law, who was 4 months into intense chemo for a triple-neg breast tumor when quarantine hit. We just got the news today that after excision surgery she is 100% cancer free and will not need radiation! She has beaten back some incredible odds and we are utterly grateful
