It was so depressing and hard to grow a garden.
what kinds of things do you grow?
veggies--lettuce, tomatoes, okra, lima beans and black eyed-peas. and cut a mess of greens from my garden (mustard, collard and turnip) for Christmas dinner.
I also go herbs like oregano, thyme and bay because I am cheap! hahaha they are so expensive!

Herb plants aren't cheap either.
no but many of them are perennials so once planted I get continuous herbs.
At one point I had a 30 foot tall bay tree. I sold the leafs (uncertified organic) to raise money for a scholarship fund.
then one spring we had freeze thaw freeze thaw and the sap rose and then froze and then split the tree in two. I cried. It took me a year before I could bear to cut it down.
that's awesome. I tried growing bay several times but it always dies. :( most other herbs I've grown easily, though
my current bay is only 1 foot tall. They are not fast growing :(

Mine sort of died. Pruned it, and it bloomed the next year

every community has its own language and language, if it is used, is dynamic. It set my mother the English teacher's teeth on edge but loan is no longer solely a noun.
oh yes. in reg. english there are many nouns used as verbs - not wild about them.
however, language which fails to communicate because it is too colloquial has its own problem. Hokie gave her communication to me and i had no clue what she meant. Just as I would not understand Swahili or Cockney. So I made that clear to her and she explained it.

I was just thinking about the time when a babbler indicated that he was super depressed so much so that a babbler contacted the police near him. The police signed in to ask how to contact him and the chog got completely quiet for several minutes. So I began talking with the police since I figured I had more practice with that than most. . .

a few weeks ago a wanker yelled at me, as I was crossing a parking lot, because I put my mask on before I got out of my car -- "you don't need to wear that in your car!" he shouted in an accusing tone
Honestly, I don't get people who wear masks in their cars while driving alone.
The early recommendation was that people who were making multiple stops keep their masks on between stops. I guess so they didn't have their potentially germy hands around their faces multiple times.
But, I agree, it is weird to see people driving around with them on.
It's surely even weirder to yell at them for it
I will often wear my mask while driving if I am in between stops that are close together, or if I am returning from someplace close to home. And sometimes I just forget to take it off.
