hey hoke, morning all

10:08 am

moo!

10:08 am

early arrival for you

10:08 am

yep

10:08 am

I was just listening to a LOTR song, did that summon you here?

10:09 am

no, just quieter than usual morning :0

10:13 am

well, 58 left here. not close to HOET.

10:13 am

72 left :)

10:13 am

no idea what HOET is :)

10:14 am

half on every tile. I implemented it as my new daily goal while you were away. much harder than NBT

10:15 am

ah, nowhere near that...63 left

10:15 am

and it has caught on somewhat, much to the chagrin of molly

10:15 am

well, 4 tiles I'm not halfway on yet

10:16 am

I have 3, upper E, lowest T, and lowest S

10:16 am

well, now just the lower s

10:17 am

HOET

10:17 am

:)

10:17 am

nice

10:17 am

just needed to focus

10:17 am

feels like that S has to be an SQ but maybe that's messing me up

10:20 am

:) Hokie

10:20 am

I could clue it if you really wanted :)

10:20 am

hi, jzw

10:20 am

just give me the stat, P&TY

10:20 am

it's an sq :)

10:21 am

shouldn't need more than that I suspect

10:21 am

helpful. I guess.

10:21 am

s 6/30 I used your hunch to get it.

10:21 am

oh, got it

10:21 am

TQOET

10:21 am

actually I lied

10:21 am

TTOET

10:22 am

glad I could help, jzw :D

10:22 am

don't have 3/4 of the first T and the D yet

10:22 am

HOET here

10:22 am

too much math, moo

10:22 am

heh

10:23 am

oh, and the T on the right

10:24 am

I only have 70% of the first T but I do have 80% of the D

10:24 am

yeah, 70% of that T, and the D

10:25 am

oh, famous tennis player who was famously stabbed in the back on court here

10:25 am

90% of the D now

10:25 am

TQOET

10:26 am

not sure what that means

10:26 am

Three Quarters

10:27 am

😁

10:27 am

not here. have made it down to 42 left. I'm sure you're about about 25.

10:27 am

26

10:28 am

now 25

10:28 am

5-6-6-6-1-1

10:30 am

16-12-8-4-1

10:30 am

looks like I can work on the 4s

10:30 am

that's a pretty healthy list

10:30 am

more healthy than mine :)

10:41 am

ok, 25 now - 10-6-4-4-1. still a lot of 4s.

10:41 am

15 to go

10:41 am

2-3-4-4-1-1

10:42 am

biggest problems are upper S and L

10:42 am

4 S on the right...everything else 1 or 2

10:43 am

I have 5 + 3 + 3 on the S's and 5 L's.

10:43 am

everything else 1 or 2

10:48 am

T2 A S5 S3 L5 T S3 T2 H2 and I am stuck

10:49 am

S3 S L T2 D W2 T H2

10:53 am

ah, well finished the second row s

10:53 am

super

10:54 am

special for sure

10:54 am

1-2-4-3-1-1

10:54 am

oh, finished the 3rd row S

10:54 am

3rd row gray!

10:54 am

ooh, vn

11:00 am

I still have a D and W2 there

11:01 am

ooh, found the 9

11:01 am

lame word I might add

11:01 am

yeah, I walked into a 9 clue when I got here, though I would never have thought to try it as it's stupid

11:02 am

yeah, I think I was talking to someone as I was trying it, so wasn't really thinking about it

11:02 am

probably wouldn't have tried it if I was concentrating on it

11:03 am

I am unloading and loading the dishwasher to see if it helps

11:03 am

soo...10 to go

11:03 am

good plan

11:03 am

Th6 clue please? Already have one who believes in God....

11:03 am

plural of th5 :)

11:04 am

I'd give you a better clue, but it's all greek to me

11:05 am

thanks, une. didn't have the other one

11:05 am

The one before that....already have Greek plural....

11:06 am

oh, well didn't ahve that...but

11:06 am

There are 3 th6 words....

11:06 am

I might make you write a paper pn why you couldn't find it

11:07 am

and 9 to go

11:07 am

ok, why couldn't I see that either

11:07 am

18 left here

11:07 am

well, I couldn't...until une told me there was a 3rd one

11:08 am

8 to go

11:08 am

when I have two left on a tile....I expect them to be a set...such disappoint

11:08 am

wonder what those 2 H's are

11:08 am

well I found one

11:09 am

hence my comment

11:09 am

and helya, doesn't work no matter how many times I try it

11:09 am

when did you comment?

11:10 am

about expecting the remaining 2 on a tile to be a set

11:10 am

ah, I didn't see that

11:10 am

yes, I was expecting them to be a set too

11:10 am

yeah, I found a 7

11:10 am

and it is unsettable

11:10 am

esp. since we were both missing 2

11:11 am

right

11:11 am

well it's not a regular word....so there's that

11:11 am

well, I hope they're all HE

11:12 am

well the 7 was

11:12 am

No one has the third th6?

11:12 am

I gave it to you une

11:13 am

11:14 am

11:17 am

15 to go.....

11:46 am

11:47 am

pretty accurate

11:48 am

8....

11:49 am

go, Une...

11:49 am

golden retriever paws are supposed to look like cat paws, and his had fur growing out like an old man's eyebrows. also have to trim between the webbing. that was so long I don't know how he was walking on the hard floors.

11:49 am

Aaawww

11:49 am

interesting...he must be happy to have less fur...

11:52 am

I wonder if he even notices

11:53 am

7...

11:53 am

i would think he wouldn't be as hot overall if you trim his fur...

11:54 am

I didn't trim any on his body, and they say it's actually bad to shave a golden because they have a double coat that cools in the summer and warms in the winter. if you shave them it messes up the undercoat.

11:54 am

6....

11:55 am

I do trim his ears sometimes to shape them up

11:55 am

interesting...

11:56 am

5....

11:56 am

go une go!

11:58 am

54 here, but i started about 15 min. ago....so i am happy...

11:59 am

that's a good pace. I came to a screeching halt at 20 but now 18 thanks to une.

12:02 pm

is the 9 a compound word?

12:03 pm

it's a superlative, but a stupid one that I guarantee you've never heard used in real life

12:04 pm

good to know...ty....

12:05 pm

found it....what does that even mean??....odd....

12:05 pm

it's a superlative of an adv

12:05 pm

oh, glad you found it

12:05 pm

makes no sense whatsoever....

12:06 pm

like who on enable thought of it and then talked everyone else into it being legit

12:08 pm

can't see anyone thinking of it in the first place...

12:11 pm

well i have to get a haircut....bbl for my last 42....bye all....

9:18 pm

Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today

9:18 pm

By the way, congratulations to all the finishers!Way to go

9:48 pm

Hello. If anyone is around, may I have stats & a clue for the 9 please?

9:50 pm

Hi Nef! That word is the wi 9/78. It is a weird superlative

9:51 pm

Thanks, Min. How are you doing these days?

9:53 pm

Got it! Thank YOU!

9:54 pm

I am well, but I am very busy with FOUR JOBS. How are U

9:55 pm

4 JOBS?? Are you trying to kill yourself!

10:00 pm

I have one full-time job & 3 part-time jobs. The part-time jobs are temporary though. Basically, I like to keep busy.

10:00 pm

I'm well, but DH has some serious health issues these days, his MS therapy wiped out his immune system after the 2nd dose; and it isn't coming back. (MS is an auto-immune disease, his immune system attacks the myelin sheath -the nerve coverings- so giving him infusions the decrease his immune system is what was supposed to happen, but now he doesn't have any immune system at all. And his memory

10:00 pm

is failing too.

10:03 pm

That sound a bit too busy though. are they all teaching?

10:11 pm

I am so sorry to hear that about your DH.Must be difficult

10:13 pm

yes, it is sometimes. other times, like when he doesn't remember things, it can be kind of funny

10:14 pm

All of my jobs are related to teaching. I tutor at the local library every day after school. Teach Saturday school and I have an online job working with high school students.

10:14 pm

and as long as HE sees the humor in it, it's okay.

10:15 pm

U have very healthy way of looking at it & dealing with it

10:15 pm

Which job do you like best?

10:16 pm

I like my regular ESL teaching job the best. Been doing it for many years.Online job is something brand new to me.

10:17 pm

It's the old saying that if you don't laugh about it you may end up crying. We both try to see the humor in just where we are in life right now.

10:20 pm

I'm not sure I would like the online job myself. My grandson is "homeschooling" and his dad says he gets all the work done each day by 10 or 11 & then plays computer games for most of the rest of the day. *I* don't like that (He's going to be 13 next month,*I* think he needs more socialization with his age group myself.)

10:32 pm

Totally agree with you. Homeschooling isn't the best way to get education, but people have their reasons for doing so. I'm just glad that my students are back in person F/T

10:33 pm

How do you think the Covid Restrictions affected their educations? From what I've heard & read, it has really hurt a lot of kids educationally

10:43 pm

The students have A LOT of catching up to do, especially students in 3rd grade or younger. These students haven't experienced "normal" school before. It's tough teaching.

10:48 pm

FINALLY, FWs! sl 8/40 gave me FWs.Nef do U need clues?

10:50 pm

YAY, Min!!! WTG!!!

10:52 pm

No, Min, I'm not going to finish and am just getting back into the groove here. I have 50 words left & now that you told me about the superlative word ending, I'm trying it on a bunch of words (most don't work! ) 😂

10:53 pm

Ok, in that case I need to go to bed. Nice chatting with U

10:53 pm

{{{HUGS}}} to you and your DH. Keeping U in my thoughts

10:55 pm

GOOD NIGHT MIN!! TAKE CARE of yourself!

12:01 am

"dang! i should have asked for a few clues. i have 13 words left, 4 from the 2nd row s

12:03 am

12:06 am

I guess I will finish the grid then! (Not sure what's going on though

12:15 am

Nope, can't stay awake any more.good nigt
