HI, Matty - its an unusual superlative
It certainly is. Thanks
FW - that was a fun grid!
Matty, are you basking in the bliss of grandma-ness?
I am! I do get a fair amount of 'no Grandma!' but I can live with that. Matilda turns 2 tomorrow!

Indeed!!
He's probably building in Brentwood, suburb for the wealthy
he can afford it
Yep
in Nashville, they keep doing infill--buy a lot and put three story narrow condos in the same space--street parking is impossible
that's the story in San Diego too
That's the story in my area for sure.....and the lots are tiny
My house is one of the last around here that was built in 1950
I don't know how they figure that three skinny condos are better than three floors--our nation is aging--who wants to climb stairs?
not me.. I like living on a one level house
I get offers all the time....builders want to raze it and replace with twinsie houses....and of course chop down all the trees :-(
my husband and I laugh. we have an upstairs but NO ONE in our house ever goes up there
those are sacred dog pee grounds une
Same here, Donna!

wi9 sounds like a word that would be in a Tolkein novel. He was the wi9 Hobbit in the Shire.

well, 4 tiles I'm not halfway on yet
I have 3, upper E, lowest T, and lowest S
well, now just the lower s
HOET

probably wouldn't have tried it if I was concentrating on it

go, Une...
golden retriever paws are supposed to look like cat paws, and his had fur growing out like an old man's eyebrows. also have to trim between the webbing. that was so long I don't know how he was walking on the hard floors.
Aaawww
interesting...he must be happy to have less fur...
I wonder if he even notices
7...
i would think he wouldn't be as hot overall if you trim his fur...
I didn't trim any on his body, and they say it's actually bad to shave a golden because they have a double coat that cools in the summer and warms in the winter. if you shave them it messes up the undercoat.
6....
I do trim his ears sometimes to shape them up
interesting...
5....
go une go!
54 here, but i started about 15 min. ago....so i am happy...
that's a good pace. I came to a screeching halt at 20 but now 18 thanks to une.

the other, from someone elses clue is a judge in ancient athens.
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers!Way to go
Hello. If anyone is around, may I have stats & a clue for the 9 please?
Hi Nef! That word is the wi 9/78. It is a weird superlative
Thanks, Min. How are you doing these days?
Got it! Thank YOU!
I am well, but I am very busy with FOUR JOBS. How are U
4 JOBS?? Are you trying to kill yourself!
I have one full-time job & 3 part-time jobs. The part-time jobs are temporary though. Basically, I like to keep busy.
I'm well, but DH has some serious health issues these days, his MS therapy wiped out his immune system after the 2nd dose; and it isn't coming back. (MS is an auto-immune disease, his immune system attacks the myelin sheath -the nerve coverings- so giving him infusions the decrease his immune system is what was supposed to happen, but now he doesn't have any immune system at all. And his memory
is failing too.
That sound a bit too busy though. are they all teaching?
I am so sorry to hear that about your DH.Must be difficult
yes, it is sometimes. other times, like when he doesn't remember things, it can be kind of funny
All of my jobs are related to teaching. I tutor at the local library every day after school. Teach Saturday school and I have an online job working with high school students.
and as long as HE sees the humor in it, it's okay.
U have very healthy way of looking at it & dealing with it
Which job do you like best?
I like my regular ESL teaching job the best. Been doing it for many years.Online job is something brand new to me.
It's the old saying that if you don't laugh about it you may end up crying. We both try to see the humor in just where we are in life right now.
I'm not sure I would like the online job myself. My grandson is "homeschooling" and his dad says he gets all the work done each day by 10 or 11 & then plays computer games for most of the rest of the day. *I* don't like that (He's going to be 13 next month,*I* think he needs more socialization with his age group myself.)
Totally agree with you. Homeschooling isn't the best way to get education, but people have their reasons for doing so. I'm just glad that my students are back in person F/T
How do you think the Covid Restrictions affected their educations? From what I've heard & read, it has really hurt a lot of kids educationally
The students have A LOT of catching up to do, especially students in 3rd grade or younger. These students haven't experienced "normal" school before. It's tough teaching.
FINALLY, FWs! sl 8/40 gave me FWs.Nef do U need clues?
YAY, Min!!! WTG!!!
No, Min, I'm not going to finish and am just getting back into the groove here. I have 50 words left & now that you told me about the superlative word ending, I'm trying it on a bunch of words (most don't work! ) 😂
Ok, in that case I need to go to bed. Nice chatting with U
{{{HUGS}}} to you and your DH. Keeping U in my thoughts
GOOD NIGHT MIN!! TAKE CARE of yourself!
"dang! i should have asked for a few clues. i have 13 words left, 4 from the 2nd row s
??? What's going on? doesn't the grid flip at 12 MN CST (or CDT) any more?
I guess I will finish the grid then! (Not sure what's going on though
Nope, can't stay awake any more.good nigt
