It has been awhile since I have had the crown. I don't actually recall the whole family being in before, though it must've happened....

hi sprite

12:35 am

hi nan!

12:38 am

is it tulip time for you yet?

12:39 am

yes, full on flower bulbs time

12:41 am

how wonderful -- they are just coming out in bud in my garden except for the very early ones. Would love to see the Netherlands at this time of year. We were there in June when we did the Amsterdam to Budapest cruise.

12:42 am

ah yes, still Spring then but the tulips are over. Same was for Rose the first time she and Don were over.

12:43 am

sounds like an awesome cruise though

12:47 am

yes it was

12:55 am

time for me to hit the sack. Been doing this during commercial breaks while watching The Floor. 36 for tomorrow :)

12:55 am

Morning all!

1:19 am

morning matty!

Am I being blind - I cannot see what that N could possibly be - is it too early to get a stat or two?

Am I being blind - I cannot see what that N could possibly be - is it too early to get a stat or two?

1:20 am

which one?

Sorry - the one in the second row, fourth column - and hi Sprite!

1:21 am

lol okay. It is the wrong season for that one. Does that help?

1:22 am

no4/4 and no5/10

Not yet, but I shall give it some thought!

Ah, gotya

And yeah, I was being slow/blind etc

Thank you!

1:23 am

babble blindness strikes again!

1:23 am

yvw

It does! I should have been more patient

1:24 am

in my own experience, if I have such a blind spot, it stays there, lol.

What's frustrating is when I get down to say 20 left, use the list and find a bunch of fish just slapping me that I missed. Plurals, simple obvious words etc

1:26 am

oh yeah. Same here. Even worse for me, if when I see I have some plurals where I missed the singular. Arrrggh!

Oh yes - that one too!

1:27 am

:D

1:27 am

nothing like babble to keep me humble

Also, if I'm playing Spelling Bee or Squardle and words that are common in Babble but not allowed in those games, like haha

1:28 am

yeah that is always taking me some time to get used to. We have such an odd word list in babble, an ancient version of enable.

To be fair, haha is a real word, not just a laugh. Also, many of those other games don't accept British spellings as 'real' words

1:30 am

it is. It is a kind of boundary marker. Hence the 'laughing fence' reference

Yep. To allow the rich folk to look over the landscape without pesky fences getting in the way

1:32 am

*grins* oh dem richies!

How are you keeping, anyway Sprite?

1:34 am

pretty good, all in all. Living a quiet life suits me. How are you doing?

Same old, same old. Matilda turns 5 on Saturday. Alfie turned 3 last month. Time flies, even though I do very little

1:36 am

oh wow! Time certainly flies!

1:40 am

fireflies. Anything I can clue for you before I go?

Nah you're all good - I shall need to pry myself out of bed soon and down to the home office - have a fabulous day!

1:41 am

you too! *hug*

And back!

5:02 am

Wow, what a commute from the bed to the home office.

5:28 am

good morning everyone

5:37 am

this was a quickie, but very pleasant

5:59 am

Good morning, Babblers. :)

6:06 am

morning, crossy

6:50 am

Some quickies are very pleasant

I hate starting a grid with a tile that I can't see any words on

7:25 am

Shouldn't there be some hep acronym for that? Like NWT

8:10 am

I'm for occasional pleasant quickies

8:11 am

love smaller grids

9:42 am

Me too, Dorens.

9:52 am

i dont like difficult grids like this one.

9:59 am

I dont mind small as long as i see words. I have 42 words and just not seeing more.

10:00 am

Any help with bottom row C words welcome.

One who shapes??

10:02 am

Ty for clue. What is stat please?

There's a 6/24, which is a normal word, and then a 7/36 that builds off of it which is a strange word

10:04 am

Ty

10:05 am

Is it a cr word or ci word please?

10:11 am

There is a very normal ci word and a 7 to go with it

10:12 am

And it is more one who goes around something than one who shapes

10:14 am

or maybe one who uses the shape to highlight ads in the paper that look promising for apartments or jobs

10:16 am

there is a ci 8 too

10:17 am

hmmmmmm

10:18 am

also building on the shape? or something else?

10:20 am

phantom: percent

10:28 am

ooh found the 9!

10:35 am

used MW and can confirm the ci8 is NOT related to the shape

11:02 am

It's almost related to Madonna

11:32 am

but has more in common with the preceding ci6

11:38 am

the zi6 and zi5 are unlikely words, I think

11:39 am

would you care to clue them?

11:40 am

the 6, at any rate?

11:44 am

ah, got it

11:52 am
