thanks, Lickety!
da6.24 don't plant these if you have sensitive skin, the night perfume very invasive.
lots of phantoms today
ac8 x 2
cooee and g'day all. * hugs * sprite
*hugs rose* Hello darling, how are you holding up today?
considering not too badly. but had a monumental mess to clean up. glass of drink tipped over. all through my books, and papaers beside my chair. * mutter, mutter, grumble, so and so glass *
omg that is horrible. I know how that is when you are already running on empty.
how are you holding up? are you able to rest a little more now? how was Tim's birthday?
we will celebrate with Tim on a separate occasion. We do not do well in a full room so we usually combine a couple of birthdays and make it into a van dijk family day :)
what a good idea !
I am struggling. Long time with overtaxing and it is getting a bit too much. Didn't sleep much last night, so must be aware of the downward spiral. Might take sleeping pill tonight, to break the downslide.
it is Tim on may 25, then Rob on June 16, Lisa on july 2, me on july 8 and Juno on August 27.
we are driving up through northern Victoria next Friday. a friend of Don's is celebrating his 70th. i'm not going to gym that day. decided it would be too cold, and possibly wet late in the day. so we are leaving about 12 midday. 4 hour drive. but plenty of time for breaks for both of us.
sounds taxing
yes darling. do that. break the cycle in whatever way yuou can.
today, caya will walk the dogs at the end of the afternoon <3 Makes such a difference. Only the noon walk to go.
whoa! that's a lot of birthdays within weeks of each other. i see your point. better for one big gathering than lots of small ones. otherwise you would be on the move continuously.
we all enjoy it most this way, so it makes sense alltogether
love family gatherings. so much fun for me watching the grand kids interacting with each other. lots of giggling, with even the big 17 year old joining in the fun.
awwww that is so precious. Who knows, one day we might enjoy grandkiddies too.
i'm sure you will. meanwhile you have all those beautiful young people around you. that too is precious time. i suspect even more so for Juno, with all of you loving them to bits.
yes, they are loving it, finally in a loving family, lots of hugging and teasing and fun. And lots of support. Their sister, Lauryn, is starting to see us as stand-in parents as well.
and yes, you are absolutely right, Rob and I enjoy the kids immensely. Beautiful people, amazingly loving and strong and fun.
lovely. i feel so much for Juno and their struggles. i am so proud of you and Rob for making them so welcome and inclusive.
they make it easy. Juno is a walking heart.
fireflies
WTG SPRITE !!!
do you have school today? of helpline? i get confused.. lol
yes, normally I would. But today is school outing day, so I am free. Thank God, tbh. Running on empty.
fun grid today. Some weirdos but fun.
i know you are honey. i am still praying for you. i do hope you can get some time out from life today.
a big hug, honey. I hope you will sleep well tonight. Take care of my bestie! *poof*
* hugs *
in and out w/ fw, laters, all
Why isn't Ru here when someone posts "in and out with fireworks"?
Good morning, Babblers. :)
in and out always brings fireworks... at least in my experience
morning
See, if you wait long enough, you get your wish : )
with that wish, at least
must be those ruby slippers molly
what a vowelly grid this is
yeah a farmer in the dell kind of grid
do you mean the E-I-E-I-O farmer? i think that's a different farmer
Old McDonald
yeah
God Ru, whatever you do, don't say what's in the well
oh... shit.. I'm old.. I forgot..
but ask me about any wine..
what wines were served on the titanic before it sank?
they had a lot of champagne.. Piper Heidsieck
back in those days Chablis was really popular in England and France so likely a bunch of that too
I just googled it and I'm right
Wow, a bottle of wine recovered from the Titanic sold for 1.4 million dollars
way too many i tiles in here
and it says they probably wouldn't have had a lot of reds because the vibrations of the engine would dislodge sediments
and I played at the flip and have no idea what the 8 lw called are.
lw?
yeah.. white bordeaux makes sense too.. likely a lot of brandy, cognac, and whiskey too
8 letter words
oc
Probably some poteen smuggled aboard by the third class Irish passengers
I didn't get lw either. Let us spell out our words.
Of course
thought I'd seen it used here. must've been another word game
well i found an 8 now
it is a normal word
Of the 4 eights only one is normal to me
then that is the one i found
Agreed, Molly.
well if you're into african flowers it's a normal word
what's that one start with ruru?
tr8
so two tr8s?
yup
and two ac 8's
yes, 2 TR8 and I can find neither
One is Benedict Arnold
hmmm
I wonder if they named a breakfast dish after him
nope
https://tinyurl.com/5xustn53
Useless trivia of the day...it was named after Lemuel Benedict, a retired Wall Street stockbroker who reportedly ordered the dish as a cure for his morning hangover
I guess he never heard of a Bloody Mary with lots of tabasco
Sounds like brunch. Back later.
oh, I thought tr5 was a phantom
funny how a flower can sound more like a medical condition
like petalphelia
STem-cell research?
I have a oopsy-daisy condition
lol
Celilac disease
darnit, missed the whales again. but now just need a 2nd row A for HOET.
Any help with the ac 8s welcome. Not seeing them. Ty.
. Just found one of them.
Ty anyway
*Stunned look*
hello all
found the tr8 , the Benedict Arnold one. help with other tr8 please
No, see, to me, the tr7/8 sounds more like a triple cancer
ty swmbo
:)
thanks
are the ac8s from the 2nd row? is that why I can't find the 2nd row As?
at least one is from top corner
They are both from the first A
I haven't found the other
there is an a 4/5 from 2nd row.
ok, thanks nellie and bea
not sure how I couldn't see that a4
HOET!
I totally ingnored the M.
Down to 9. 2-3-2-1-1
happens to me sometimes. I think I have gone through each and then see a tile with 0.
35 left here. 14-13-4-2-2
have only grayed 6 tiles and none of them are higher than 3 words
found the other ac8... medical term I actually know
what's the other one?
do either relate to the opposite of base?
the other one is the "non" version of a c7
yes, carla
the one I just found is a compound of 2 4-letter words
Not two four letter words that are accepted in this grid
the one opp of base ends with pee
true
thanks, got that one
ty Bea
so the c7 is a word in the other one? I don't have a c7 either.
The other ends with a space on the calendar
That's the one with the c7
mmkay. that leaves me one letter to find between ac and that calendar word and yet I can't get it to work. I feel drugged from zyrtec.
having studied c7s for a long time, the a8 feels a very wrong word
wait, 2 letters
atalante, I was wondering about that :)
2 letters between ac and the caldendar word
hokie, if it helps, that ac8 is the first ac word
I love I love I love my calendar word
thanks, nellie. that helped.
Ha! Got wordle in 2!
took me 6 but a couple of people at my other place got 2
Your other place?
clue for the ar7?
got it
yeah, I have 2 places on the internet I hang out at
aha firebirds
congrats
Need to prep for Memorial Day dinner. 10 left for later.
You do Memorial Day Dinner? Is that a thing?

Penalty Box.
When I was young, we would take flowers to the cemetery and either have a picnic or a nice family dinner.
Who’s lyric is this:
“When I was young I carried a gun/But i never got the chance to serve/I did not serve.” for 10 points or door number 2.
Paul Simon
Correct.
Do you take the 10 dollars or what’s behind door number 2?
Door number 2 of course Monty
Ha! It’s an elephant!
And that was the beauty of Let's Make A Deal
A full grown African elephant with aa natural leather hide, ivory tusks, and self cleaning mechanism.
**Orders peanuts in bulk
Female. @0 months pregnant.
20 months.
Cool. Dumbo is on the way
Do not shoot elephants. And don’t dress him up like a gentleman.
Identify lyric” The gun the gun. We both reached for the gun. the gun
Now you can keep your genuine pregnant African lion, or take home what’s behind door number 1.
The gun the gun we both reached for the gun the gun the gun...
Anybody? Molly, it’s your guess. Do you want to keep that elephant or identify the new lyric.
For $500 or a chance at Door Number One. By the way, do any of you ladies have a hard boiled egg in your ourse?
purse. Monty sorry for mistake.
Monty kills chat.
It's from the musical Chicago but I don't know who wrote it
Good enough. Who sand it in the movie.
sang
Richard Gere I think. Is it an elephant or a lion?
Namaste
