12:29 am

Last year it seemed like we went from fall to winter, back to fall and then winter again. It was great having warmth and sun this year.

Mab great Icon by the way where did you get it ???

1:17 am

Oh yes, also bad at typing numbers. I'm glad the rest is ok, except for those three glaring errors. I crack myself up.

1:39 am

Hugs I got it thank you

1:39 am

Well done Blaze :o)

1:42 am

Hugs - I haven't gotten it :(

1:43 am

Dianne - trap something in a net

1:44 am

Yeah for me - I got it (of course only with your help).

1:45 am

Way to go Dianne! :o)

1:53 am

Kids to school, shopping done, washer and dryer in full gear, kitchen clean... I think I have deserved some babble time for myself :)

1:53 am

Yay sprite! Welcome back.

1:53 am

sprite absolutely

1:53 am

Sprite - so productive... you sure do deserve it.

1:54 am

Am I the only one who wants to make faraway, whiler there isn't even a Y in the grid? Keeps jumping in focus all the time.

1:55 am

No, the word that's haunting me is transit! I wish I could stop seeing it.

1:55 am

I've wanted to do that too.

1:56 am

I also want to impart that I want to do apart as well.

1:56 am

And bandits. But that's no wonder, after a morning with my kids.

1:57 am

Or bandito! There's so many good almost-words in this one -- just wish I could see more of the ones actually there! I'm at 133 and have hit a big wall.

1:58 am

What I would like to know: if B7/40 is a word, then why can't we make A/48 into a nice 10?

2:00 am

Darlin', I need to find that A first before I can answer your question ;)

2:01 am

Compound, melissamay :) Okay, I checked the log, so I think it hasn't been mentioned yet, but I have been wrong before: T7/28-8/40

2:01 am

Arable, parable, amble, briar, hug's warble - the list is endless.

2:02 am

Yes Sprite - it has been mentioned earlier.

2:03 am

mab - don't forget fable

2:03 am

Darn. And I DID 'show all messages' and checked before I posted, lol. Back to the grid then, so I'll make less public mistakes :)

2:05 am

It's vexing that one can't correct one's already posted messages, as I have learned this early, early morning.

2:06 am

t8/50 x 2

2:07 am

Hugs what ever your drinkning I's have 2 ???

2:07 am

No kidding, Hugs. You are a woman on fire!

2:07 am

I just found all my 8's... Just coffee with some International Delight Irish Cream flavoring

2:08 am

I love the irish cream coffe but no milk please.... oh so far away.......

2:09 am

Put a smidge of Kahlua in mine, there's a nice Hugs.

2:10 am

I also have some Amaretto if anyone is interested! ;o)

2:12 am

If anyone has the F words completed I am missing just one..... I have 4 x6 5 x 1 7 x1 words

2:12 am

Blaze - f7/40 and f7/52

2:13 am

Pour it on darlin', I've got that last t/50 to find and I'll have all my 8s.

2:14 am

Listed biggies so far (I might have overlooked some, it happens to me a lot), they are not in list order. b 8 55 b 7 36 b 7 40 b 7 52 e 7 28 f 7 40 f 7 52 n 7 36 n 8 50 p 7 40 p 7 36 x 2 t 7 28 t 8 40 t 8 50 x 2 r 7 32 w 7 40

2:17 am

And A7/48 and A7/32 too.

2:20 am

got the 7/52 that is crazy...... now I am really a smart babbler ??? LOL ???

2:21 am

Ok, I think I'm puzzled out for now. Good luck to everyone finishing, and see you later on!

2:22 am

Nitey nite MM

2:22 am

G'Night MM see you tomorrow

2:22 am

You are! I just wondered what my reputation would be if I was known to be one that P7/36 the P7/36.

2:23 am

Sprite - Very well loved by the men, I'm sure! ;o)

2:24 am

That would be vice versa then ;)

2:24 am

Now I'm off to find those P words

2:26 am

sprite there's another B 7/36 and another P 7/36.

2:29 am

r7/36, too

2:33 am

trannie and trannies really should be allowed LOL

2:34 am

Thanks, I think we have them all now. Here are the biggies, this time in order of the list: b 8 55 n 8 50 t 8 40 t 8 50 x 2 a 7 32 a 7 48 b 7 40 b 7 36 b 7 52 b 7 36 e 7 28 f 7 40 f 7 52 n 7 36 p 7 40 p 7 36 x 3 r 7 32 r 7 36 t 7 28 w 7 40

2:35 am

Atalante, how nice to see you! How are you?

2:36 am

lurking :) Real life work got in the way of babbling for a week or two. I just hate it when that happens!

2:37 am

Oh, I know, that is bad ;) Welcome back then, and happy babbling!

2:38 am

back to days of wonderful non-productivity through babbling!

2:39 am

"What do you mean I do nothing all day? I just found 200 words!"

2:40 am

LOL yes! I learnt a new word! Perfectly good use of a day!

2:42 am

"Look here, I can tell you all specifics about a number of words you will never use or come across. Can you better that?"

2:44 am

To that I say ywis!

2:44 am

Well said M

2:44 am

"What do you mean - how can knowing the word ywis not be useful?!"

2:45 am

rofl mab! Yeah, that was quite an example of useless knowledge yesterday.

2:45 am

Good one Mab!

2:46 am

I plan to use it as often as possible.

2:46 am

morning all from across the pond, Sprite do you have the final points score please?

2:46 am

Had a helluva time giving clues for that one.

2:47 am

Not yet, ferrari, still need 10 more words. And they are bastards!

2:49 am

uh oh words sprite can't get. this looks bad ...!

2:50 am

:P They usually turn out to be perfectly normal words, for which I developed an instand blind spot. Or had the illusion I entered them hours ago.

2:50 am

*instant*

2:51 am

*grins* oh yes .. *those* words ..

2:53 am

In this stage I always check my list, without looking at the grid. And hit myself over the head for every forgotten plural, singular, verb form and alt. spelling. Still, they don't add up to 200 yet. Need one more P that is a P4/6 in the neck.

2:54 am

AND 1xS, 1xi and 4xD of course.

2:57 am

I think waaw should be a word - the cry of angst on not being able to find that last p!

2:57 am

morning all :)

2:58 am

I agree. Found it, by the way. The one I don't give myself time for when babbling, apparently ;)

2:58 am

Morning Kallia! Dig in, it's a nice grid!

2:59 am

have dug in Sprite...only 98 to go lol :)

2:59 am

morning Kallia, we meet again

3:00 am

morning ferrari..what a strange place to bump into you !!!!

3:02 am

Hm, weird... those last 2 words WERE words I already entered. Because when I re-entered them, I got the oops-already message. But they were not in the list and not counted in the stats panel. Had to alt-refresh to get them in. Ferrari: 200 words / 4.93 / 2885 points for today.

3:03 am

Yeah Sprite

3:04 am

Is it too early for b7/40? strictly for medicinal purposes of course!

3:04 am

congrats and thanks sprite, you'll have to go and do somethin else now

3:04 am

At this hour I prefer the P7/36.

3:05 am

ignore me, its the cold.....lol of course I meant b/8 which isnt in the grid...well I dont think it is lol

3:05 am

What was that ??? is there another p7/36

3:06 am

hm Sprite...must be one I'm missing...at this hour Iplay babble lol

3:06 am

I think it is Kallia

3:06 am

Kallia it is so too ??

3:08 am

thank you! so it is...balme it on this stinking cold

3:09 am

in that case you definitely need a b*****! lol

3:09 am

3:10 am

3:13 am

shana tovah Alleyn

3:14 am

Been at this for a while and I have one lousy i word - UGH!

3:15 am

Which one do you have, Dianne? Two are identical except for 1 letter, a 3rd for 2 letters. 3x5.

3:17 am

3:18 am

3:18 am

However I am cos of the way I typed that

3:19 am

shana tova alleyn... is use of the pc hallachic on such a day as this?

3:19 am

3:20 am

3:20 am

Morning Ferrari, morning Rolin :) Just a quick visit i`m off to maths class in a mo!!!

3:24 am

Dianne you have a babe in this

Cathy is amazingly bright for 13, are they all like that or is she an exeption to the rule?

3:25 am

she is special...but there is another couple of girls who are just as bright in the class...they are treasures

3:26 am

yippee got the a7/48

3:26 am

Just got it... it would figure, just after I ask.

3:26 am

Hugs, they are both plurals. One has a similar one in the Ps, the other is plural to tropical Indian fig tree (Ficus benghalensis), often widely spreading because of the many aerial roots that descend from the branches and develop into additional trunks. It is planted for ornament and shade.

3:26 am

ferrari can you share a clue on the a 7

3:27 am

Blaze - you are too funny - Now, thanks to you, I have two i words.

3:27 am

3:58 am

I can't believe it's not butter...... only in babble

3:59 am

Hugs - thanks - now I can smile and say "I've polished off all those E words" :)

4:00 am

oooh..whats the 'e' in the corner????

4:01 am

8:15 am

I can't believe it won't allow trannies. A sock( or a bra) in the face for the poor cross-dressers! In my journalism days, trannies were transparencies. Common parlance.

8:24 am

Shes done a bit, but sometimes its easier just to find the words without the chat......especially when you feel like s**t =)

8:25 am

me too... like yesterday afternoon, i was asking for a list of the 6es and i thought everyone was ignoring me, but people kept posting the list of Es, though no one was asking for them... finally, someone asked whether i was asking for the 6-letter words or the 6 E's. (which was silly since there were actually like 10 E's...heh) but at least it made sense why people kept posting the E's! hehe

8:26 am

tr5 10 tr7 28 combo meaning person/people who are being taught a new job.

8:27 am

<<steps into conga line>>

9:15 am

um can somebody say special

9:16 am

special ... as in "riding the short bus" special ? ... lol

9:16 am

...intravenous drip, It's ingenious. All it takes is a row of optics, each with a funny shaped colourful bottle full of something alcoholic or vaguely narcotic (...and at least make sure the stuff can at least ooze) a set of catheters, (oooze, now that's a good word...) a needle and a nice throbbing vein. Use bulldog clips to control the flow and Roberto is your Patron...instant cocktails, no funny aftertaste and a about 5 mins until most of your motor functions decide to down tools :D

Jen - I am at Book today! WIll be here tomorrow as well. Back with you awesome people oooon Thursday! =o) It was fun working with you and Ginger yesterday!

9:17 am

anyone know how many a's there are????????

9:27 am

hi, this is the first time i've played. what do the codes that you are all talking about mean? eg. pa 5/14 ; pa 4/6

9:28 am

past tense meaning dunked, but without the ed ending

9:29 am

welcome, happy babbling: pa=first two letters of word 5 = number of letters in word 14 = points the word is worth.

9:29 am

Anyone have the A list?????????

9:30 am

Dazza, i'm not sure if anyone has finished them yet...

9:32 am

Ah, yet another head-slapping moment. Keep forgetting the past tense 't' thing!

9:32 am

dazza -- here are the 5 A's i have so far: an4 4 an4 4 an5 10 an6 18 ap4 6

9:34 am

Good morning, all. I actually finished last night. so I just wanted to thank all of you who helped me.

9:40 am

Fine thanks Anj :) Had a food fight at lunchtime and managed to get a boy mate to tie his hair in bunches, so a good day for me ^_^ And you?

9:40 am

af 4/7

9:41 am

9:42 am

Not bad thanks. Survived a dental check up, been out for a wander, dosed up on coffee & chocolate :) Downside is i'm missing Lola :( She's got visitors... Hair in bunches??? Get him to do a Pebbles next time...one bunch on top of his head lol

9:43 am

9:45 am

Lola withdrawal symptoms? There, there...will try the style you recommended but not promising anything, he was in a strop all day after that. Besides, we're trying to get him to wear a skirt to school. Campaigning for equal rights :)

9:47 am

Miy, what has the poor boy done to deserve that sort of attention??

9:48 am

missing one A, can someone tell me what it is? af4 7 ai4 4 an5 10 an4 4 an4 4 an5 10 an6 18 ap4 6 ap5 14 ar7 32 ar5 14 ar6 24

di 5 12 di 6 21 di 4 5 di 5 12 di 4 5 di 5 12 di 4 5 di 4 7

9:49 am

darn, i'm missing the same one

9:49 am

Sam: Another A5/10

9:49 am

But it's all his fault! Erm, sort of...well. He made friends with me, that's the short and short of it. If you're not prepared to look a total idiot, hanging around with me isn't the best idea :)

9:50 am

Evanadine, ar7/48 inflatable thingy used to help swim along rather than go under...

Evanadine - Sorry, wish I had a clue for the "a's" but I have none myself just yet! :( Thanks for the list of what you have though! :)

9:51 am

What's the a7/32 then?

9:51 am

9:53 am

thanks Anj. :)

9:54 am

ar7/32 spider

9:55 am

9:57 am

Missing two B's, ba4 7 ; ba7 40 ; ba4 6 ; ba5 14 ; ba4 6 ; ba6 24 ; ba5 14 ; ba4 6 ; ba4 8 ; ba4 10 ; ba7 52 ; ba 4 9 ; br 4 6 ; br5 14 ; br5 14 ; br6 24 ; br6 24 ; br7 36 ; br4 6 ; br5 16 ; br 5 14 ; br4 9 ; br5 20 ; br 5 20

9:58 am

Toes, do it - you know it makes sense :) Miy, mutating dough?? Do tell....

10:00 am

Mutating dough...well, it seems the last person in the food room to use one of the baking trays hadn't washing it properly, so it was coated in fairy liquid, baking soda, etc. So the next person to use it ended up with dough that was five times as big as it used to be, and frothing. Pretty scary actually. We almost had to evacuate

10:01 am

And then a some guy managed to get icing sugar confused with flour. And we're the top class. It's scary when you think about it.

10:01 am

begrery - you're missing the ba7/36 that follows your ba6/24

10:02 am

Begs: br8/55

So that was what was up with the mutating dough. And i was stuck in a textiles room trying to make it look as though i was doing something, and you had mutant dough. Just typical.

10:02 am

thnks hug and joo

10:02 am

begery: br 8/55 pl of br 5/16

1:06 pm

Jera - fa7/52- compound word - something used to cool off + all-knowing

I h8 dis game wen i am tlkin 2 ppl! bcoz im talkin 2 the odd boy... and it kinda slips my mind... which is y it takes me ages to do my hwk :P

Oh u mean the game...

1:07 pm

*tuts* Lozzi, think of Dale! Speaking of which, did you know he mistook icing sugar for flour in cooking today?! *sighs*

Yes I did your in my cooking class you donut!

1:09 pm

Thanks, bugzy! took a minute, but I got it. Jera?

1:09 pm

Donut being the operative word? (sorry, sorry, cheesy punchline)

o.O ok i am moving down 7 english sets....

1:10 pm

er...what?

*sighs* doing worse than yesterday, and today im concentrating on the puzzle o_0, how is that even possible? I think my intelligence has slightly vanished today.

1:11 pm

*randomly joins in conversations* The icing sugar thing was so funny! Poor Dale though... (Meev_fan, your MSN working? Is so boring right now..)

1:12 pm

I'm missing three T's. Can someone please help? tr 5 10 tr 7 28 tr 8 40 tr 6 18 tr 5 10 tr 8 50 tr 4 6 tr 6 24 tr 8 50 tr 5 16 tw 5 16 tw 6 27

1:12 pm

Again, Jodes? *tuts* I don't know, you and your amazing vanishing intelligence. Hey Hyari (hahaha) was too scared to attempt msn yet. However...she who laughs last laughs the laughiest

1:13 pm

Hi Lola, I think you need a tr5/14, tw4/7 and tw5/16 :)

Yep, my intelligence always fails me. I think its still lost under that tree. (if only b 5/14 wasnt in this puzzle) Didnt you say the laughiest laugh thing earlier today or is that just me?

1:14 pm

*pats Jodie* I think todays puzzle is harder, I'm having more trouble too...Or we're both more blind than usual. (Try MSN! I need something..I mean someone to talk to)

1:15 pm

1:15 pm

I am choosing to rise above that, Hyari. Am in the process of trying msn, but since my cursor seems to have disappeared, it may not be that easy

1:16 pm

Thanks Chessy and Hugs :)

1:16 pm

1:16 pm

evanadine - ra5/10

1:17 pm

Like we say, eyes are merely for decoration. Like clothes, and extravagant moustaches

1:17 pm

hi marlborough peeps

1:17 pm

I think my mind is still in that box..Filled up with Panic Channel.

1:18 pm

Hey, moustaches are more than decorations; They're like pets! *gets funny looks*

1:18 pm

Yo Gem. Bit of randomness going on here. Hyari - the same box Meever jumps out of? I want that box. And it's contents ^_^

Since when were extravagant moustaches mearly for decoration? Last time i heard it was a brown rainforest. No, wait thats what they are in my universe. I think my intelligence is under a tree that became lost.

1:19 pm

evanadine - it could be the weather one, or the increase in pay

1:19 pm

it was the weather one, thanks hug! any hints on the Tr 8s?

1:19 pm

Nah, it's my 'Peanuts' box. You can have the Miyavi box and contents if you find it..I'll have Tara's contents instead?

1:20 pm

Joders - you have an entire universe to yourself? Greedy! I live in my own world, but it's only one planet. And a small one at that

1:21 pm

one is circus related - the daring young men on the flying tr8/50 the other - tr5/10 and se4/6 (crossing & French seven)

1:21 pm

Wait...I don't want to think about how many other Babblers we're scaring here. You notice that apart from us, the chat log is verrry quiet...

I have an alternate universe, and my own world o_0. Dont ask why. Its just my world is a bit like Earth, and my universe is VERY crazy, and its ruled by the Irken race....and me.

1:22 pm

My last word - it's an n4... I already have na 4 4 ; na 4 6 ; ne 4 6 ; ne 4 4 ; ne 4 4 ; ni 4 4 ; ni 4 6 I'm sure it's an easy one but can anyone help? Thanx :)

1:23 pm

bugzy - another ne4/6 - between the 2 ne4/4's variation in spelling to the other ne4/6 you have

hmmm...very quite chat log other than us. I think we invaded *retreats to the puzzle and becomes quiter*

1:24 pm

Maybe people are acually concentrationg on the puzzle? Or, we're just scary?

1:24 pm

Hugabugs, you rock! Thank you, thank you !! I would have been monkey typing forever :)

1:25 pm

By the way, Hyari, I got Freedom Fighters romanized. I swear when he says 'cheers' it sounds more like 'cheese'. Like a$hita, genki ni naare...the ravioli song ^_^

JODIE!! HAYLEY!!! elooo dere

1:25 pm

:o) you're welcome Bugzy!

1:25 pm

YABADABADOOOOO! *runs naked through the puzzleverse with only a rubber chicken to preserve his modesty*

1:25 pm

thanks hug!

1:25 pm

*will listen out* Curse you, I've got Freedom Fighters back in my head *shakes fist*

1:26 pm

Anj - excitement. But do you really need the rubber chicken? *wink*

1:26 pm

Yes...all the other babblers are talking verrry quietly, so as not to disturb us, bless 'em. Anj - DON'T PUT THAT CHICKEN DOWN!!! *shields eyes*

1:26 pm

Anj has given me an amusing yet mentally scarring picture *hides*

1:26 pm

.. and why are you wearing the chicken on your head?

1:26 pm

25 words left, and an hour to go! *buckles down*

1:27 pm

Hi all, Evanandine you're missing an ra5/10 nexr to your 1st ra5/10, thanks youve given me my last r so I'm returning the favour, lol

1:27 pm

LOL! Good one Chessy!!!

1:27 pm

*loses rubber chicken. Replaces with frozen chicken. Looks distressed. Runs away...fast*

1:27 pm

Oooh dear...

1:27 pm

So that's what happens when you finish a puzzle -- Anj goes streaking through with rubber poultry??? Or was that just coincidence...

1:28 pm

2:54 pm

HI Miy. Getting there gradually...it's slow progress tho'

2:54 pm

2:55 pm

TOES....that would be a negative on that question you asked....don't have any....why would I do that to Ginger

*waves at Anj and at Dachef*

2:55 pm

Dachef, You killed Kenny! But please don't give up.

2:55 pm

Ah, Anj...I think I have a babble theory though...you take a short break in which you put on your favourite song and do the weirdest dancing you can. Then once you come back on, you find loads of words. It worked for me :)

2:56 pm

Dachef, there's too many duplicate letters for this to be a quick one. Too many directions a word can turn. You have to think in 3 directions at the same time and i've barely mastered one...

2:57 pm

Good idea Miy. I'm going to try a sun dance :)

2:57 pm

Deutsch - i didnt kill him, honest. Hes safe, tied up in my attic. At least until they call off the police search anyway...

2:58 pm

If that looks anything like my rain dance, bid sanity and unfractured limbs farewell :)

2:58 pm

oh, well, tied up is okay

2:58 pm

any one got the complete w's?

2:59 pm

anj - I know what you mean, you get "oops you've already used that word" when you just know you havent. You've just found it somewhere else on the grid!!!

3:02 pm

ive got 4 x wa 4/7 two that are homophones of each other....the plural pale and the skin bump...whats the other?

3:03 pm

Dachef, that 'Oops...' needs to be changed to 'Nice try, but no cigar' or something similar for that sort of thing lol Miy, hey i've fractured my skull twice :) That probably explains a lot... :/

3:03 pm

3:03 pm

Anj- lol! Sorry have been tracking down headphones so that I can listen to OP in peace!!! See I've got you doing the sun dance now ;)

3:27 pm

Miy, it's an anti-Jerry Springer attack chicken.

7:40 pm

Yeah, Sid Griffin, ex Long Ryders and Dan Baird, ex Georgia Satellites. Best 3 hours live music I've heard in a long time :)

georgia satellites....hehe... dont gimme no lines and keep yo hands to yo'self!

7:41 pm

7:42 pm

Evanadine, didn't just play that one, two members of the audience climbed on stage and sang it. Baird just played guitar and grinned. And he didn't even play Battleship Chains...ended with Dylan's Like a Rollin' Stone instead. Brilliant!

7:43 pm

heh, thats the only GS song i know...

7:43 pm

Found it on a to z. Thanks anyway.

7:44 pm

thanks, Anj, didn't think to make it plural when it would not accept the singular, go figure :)

7:55 pm

babbler I think it is a river in france or a fishing boat plus the 6 is a plural

7:55 pm

7:55 pm

it was Ayrton..... thx Anj!

The other is a plural of a pe5/14 which means to weigh down. It's a mis-spelling of a word meaning balance, composure, self-possesion. Just change the o for an e

8:37 pm

pa4/6 kind of a hammer, mispelled any help with tr5/16??

8:37 pm

Cheers Liana :) The funny clues are always the best lol

8:37 pm

Hi, Munner! I'm trying hard, but still have lots to go! That's what I get for going to work!

8:38 pm

Thanks, Anj. When I see all these crazy words, I feel like the ESL kids I used to teach.

8:38 pm

tr5/16 - kind a fishing with a net dragging behind the boat

8:39 pm

Munner, Babble wouldn't be Babble if didn't give your vocabulary insecurities lol I think you've got all the pa4/6s - there are only 5

8:39 pm

: ( I didn't understand those clues Anj! Munner! : ( ........... sulks

8:39 pm

Retirement does have its privileges, pearlgirl! I really should have been getting my house tidied up instead of babbling, but this is way more fun.

8:41 pm

ty vic

8:41 pm

Babbler, think of Snow White and her p..... apple. Chnage the o for an e and monkey the last letter :)

8:42 pm

THAT I understand!!! : ) thx Anj!

8:44 pm

.... while we're in that part of the pe's, pls could you help me with the pe 4/7 and pe 5/14 directly after, (just above the male appendages!) tvm

8:44 pm

You're correct, Anj. I already had them. ty

8:45 pm

LOL..thats the first reference I have heard to the male appendages..i dont think anyone needed help with THAT word..HA

8:46 pm

8:46 pm

This has certainly been an interesting grid, Liana! : )

8:47 pm

Babs..lol, uh huh. (smirking)

8:48 pm

pe4/7- patent pe--ing

8:48 pm

Babs, pe4/7- delay, put off rhymes with what you do with letters/e-mail pe5/14 - take your maile appendage (!) and swop the I for an E *sound of 100 pairs of male legs crossing* lol

8:48 pm

Eva..well at least you didnt give them the ole Latin..ii ending that comedians use..ha

8:49 pm

8:51 pm

Babbler, rhymes w/ br8/55

8:51 pm

Need 3 5/14. I have the 4 homophones, the male appendage, and the 3 double n's. Please share some hints for those last 3.

8:51 pm

that's a daft pa7 word. well, really!!! thx guys! : )

8:52 pm

Munner..are you N. S. E. or W. of Atlanta..:)

8:53 pm

This is rather an anatomical puzzler...

8:53 pm

There's a pe 5/14 to be found in an oyster

8:53 pm

I'm new, and have spent more time playing Babbler in the last 24 hours than anything else...including--> sleeping (yawn)

8:54 pm

WOW, i need 13 more P words..i just counted. Am having too much fun reading posts and forgot about my tons of words needed yet.

8:54 pm

what's the pe5/14 that's just below the oyster gem? ty

8:54 pm

There's a pe5/14 that plays drums with Rush as well There's also one tha's a plural of a pe4/6 with a double vowel in it :)

8:55 pm

lianakate, I'm on the southside - no prestige there - about 15 minutes from the airport. But this weekend all my kids and their kids will be with us at a cabin in north Georgia. We're so excited-haven't been together for over a year, and we will get to meet the new 3 week old baby from Virginia.

8:55 pm

hi, JB ..i have been playing a month and I can scarcely sleep at night without babbling in my sleep~~~(a pun there somewhere)

8:55 pm

That's a bit obscure, sorry :( Try your fruity pe4/6 with a T on the end :)

8:57 pm

if it's not too much of an imposition, pls could someone help with the five pe's directly below male appendages? the are: pe 5/14 ; pe 5/14; pe 5/14 ; pe 6/24 and pe 6/24 tvm

8:58 pm

i am laughing so hard at babs..with the male appendages..LMAO..omg!!!!

8:58 pm

** extra big puppy eyes, fluttering eyelashes and big winning smile** : D

8:59 pm

lianakate, I guarantee you it will be memorable. When my adult sons (31, 29, and 27) get together, they turn into 10 year olds! It's a cabin which will hold the 17 of us in Ellijay.

8:59 pm

Sure are Liana. They've mellowed a bit with age (apart from Alex Lifeson lol) but can still make a racket when required :)

8:59 pm

Liana---- just for you ........... *whispers* male appendages.... : D

8:59 pm

My sons band is ROUX..thick rock and roll..(eyeroll)

9:07 pm

I figured out the last pe without Anj's help! But I did use a to z. Thank y'all for your wonderful clues. If you see me on this site tomorrow, tell me get the hell off and get ready for my son and his wife's arrival Thursday. She's never spent the night here, and it's a wreck since I've been ill.

LMAO! Babbler your awesome :)

9:21 pm

Babbler, the spirit is always willing but the flesh gets the casting vote lol

9:22 pm

that was a Mae West quote, btw, I'm not that witty myself! : )

9:22 pm

9:35 pm

PAV 3, as someone said earlier, it is at the end of your armies....It helped me get the word, and was very clever.

9:37 pm

Sweet dreams, TSM! I'm just going to try to get a few before beddie-byes.

Hi all...just in for a quick peek - I started earlier (on a boring conf. call at work) but didn't get too far...haven't played since this weekend!

9:39 pm

is there an e list somewhere? I have but one e word.

9:40 pm

I'm missing just the one...

9:41 pm

I have: ea4/4 en7/28, Missing one also.

9:42 pm

a couple of 2nd letter lists were posted around 4 hours ago

9:43 pm

torgone, we're missing the same one.

9:43 pm

Ea 1 - ,Ea4x1 - lord En 1 - ,En7x1 - fall into a net, get stuck.... Es 1 - ,Es4x1 - multiple S

9:44 pm

If you want to go in, I'll cover you.

Abort mission! Brandyjack to the rescue! Thanks, amigo!

9:46 pm

abort abort, brandyjack to rescue!

9:47 pm

9:48 pm

For the 1,895,390th time, I can't believe that's a word.

9:49 pm

for the 1,895,391st time, neither can I

9:51 pm

missing an ne, help?

9:52 pm

I have 3 ne4's..

9:53 pm

It's the last ne

I'm of no help - y'all are way ahead of me!! I'll be lucky to break 100...how do you do it so quickly??

9:53 pm

The Hawaiian goose?

9:54 pm

Quickly?? I have been here on and off (mostly off) for 13 hours.

torgone - you make me feel much better!

oo \_/

9:56 pm

easternblue, I've been here off and on since 10:30 AM oh, and I cooked that goose, Torgone

whew! I was feeling a little 'dense' thinking most people finished in no time... (ego feels better now!)

9:59 pm

*thumps head* first ne. *sheesh hangs head*

9:59 pm

I get what I can get, EasternBlue. At this time of day, if I'm not within a few of finishing, I try to get a couple, help whomever I can, and have a little fun in the log.

10:00 pm

thanks to your clues - i've actually finished the 'e's"

10:01 pm

I've been at this on and off for abour 12 hours... ok, down to the Rs and the Ts

10:01 pm

Hello All.... How goes the fight?

10:02 pm

Hugs!! **Hugs!**

10:02 pm

hiya Hugs! Less than 1/2 way there...no end in sight!

10:03 pm

Hi tor - *hugs* to you too!

10:03 pm

Oh EB there is an end... at 200 *wink*

10:04 pm

aaaaahhhhhhhhh... : )

10:04 pm

Anything I can do to help anyone along?

10:07 pm

Hugs - finish for me?? (only kiddin')

10:08 pm

considering I have the list, that could be done within 10 minutes...but it wouldn't be much fun for you. I can give you lists and really good clues if you'd like.

10:09 pm

I almost wish there was a way to play again, just to see how many I could remember and find again.

10:09 pm

How about just p's Huggy? I need 9.

10:10 pm

P's coming right up Tor!

10:11 pm

You're a doll! And you're right. That would be great reinforcement for the memory!

10:12 pm

P's pa 5 14 pa 4 6 pa 5 14 pa 5 14 pa 7 40 pa 4 6 pa 5 14 pa 4 6 pa 7 36 pa 4 6 pa 4 6 pa 4 9 pe 4 6 pe 5 14 pe 4 6 pe 5 14 pe 5 14 pe 4 6 pe 5 14 pe 4 6 pe 4 6 pe 5 14 pe 5 14 pe 6 24 pe 4 7 pe 5 14 pe 5 14 pe 7 36 pe 5 14 pe 5 14 pe 5 14 pe 6 24 pe 6 24 pe 4 6 pi 4 6 pi 4 6 pi 4 6 pi 6 24 pi 5 14 pi 4 6 pr 6 24 pr 7 36 pr 5 20

10:12 pm

Thank you Tor! I bet you say that to all the girls! *wink*

10:13 pm

Hi Hugs - How you doing? Can you give me a good hint for the Pr5?

10:14 pm

Just the dolls! *wink*wink* Now give me a minute whilst I study this list...

10:15 pm

Hi Dianne - pr5 is a bit shrimpy :o)

10:17 pm

Hugs - you know my sense of direction is bad - I kept looking for that word in the other direction. I should just type in the words I think might fit and get surprised when they do. Thanks for the help.

10:18 pm

in 5/14 in 4/4 any clues for the other "i's"?

10:19 pm

You know, Dianne, I have actually started to do that. I've been fooled more often than not, into thinking that there isn't a plural or verbal extension because so often the words can be formed in 2 directions. So now, I just type them in automatically if the grid calls for it.

10:20 pm

in 5 14 in 5 14 in 5 14 in 4 4

10:21 pm

the 1st and 3rd in5 are similar in spelling. Just change the middle vowel. A hug would be a good example of the 2nd. Being held with the upper appendage.

10:21 pm

Did anyone ever post that fa7/52 I was asking for earlier? If so, I missed it... help, please?

10:22 pm

Hi Jera - compounded word. 1st part - used to cool off in the summer. 2nd part - sage like an old owl

10:23 pm

Jera - cooling device plus sage.

10:24 pm

tyvm!!

10:25 pm

Hugs - **HUG** Got 'em...thnx!

10:26 pm

Great! What's next?

10:27 pm

This is why I rarely finish: I got a word or two from that list before I was distracted by a shiny thing...

10:27 pm

Hugs - I'm just trying to break 100 now...(I finished e & i and have about 1/2 of all others...)

10:27 pm

LOL What shiny thing was that Tor?

10:28 pm

d or f?? I'm close with both of those!

10:29 pm

I don't know... It's gone now, And I can't remember what . . . .Garlic bread? .. . .

10:30 pm

D's di 5 12 di 6 21 di 4 5 di 5 12 di 4 5 di 5 12 di 4 5 di 4 7

10:30 pm

Garlic bread is shiny?

10:31 pm

F's fa 5 16 fa 4 7 fa 4 7 fa 7 40 fa 7 52 fa 4 7 fa 4 9 fa 4 7 fa 4 10

10:33 pm

Actually, Tor, I get very distracted by sparkly shiny things. They are one of my many weaknesses.

10:36 pm

Okay, here's one I can handle. I need the fa5/16. I also need my BRAND NEW computer to stop having grand mal seizures right in the middle of my BABBLING!!

10:38 pm

fa5/16 - The series of final passes performed by a matador preparatory to killing a bull in a bullfight. (sounds like the begining of the alternate spelling of fairy and ends with the old band Sha ?? ??

10:39 pm

When did you get your computer? I got my new one in July and it's been absolutely wonderful.

10:40 pm

Fa5/16 - first anme of Ms. Dunnaway with different last letter plush slang for "no" and drop the H.

10:42 pm

I have got to learn how to type :)

10:43 pm

Beautiful clue, Hugs! Dude! Got my Dell in July also. Allwas fine untill I somehow picked up some spyware recently.. IAnd I'm Joe "Don't download anything!" "Spyware scan everyday!" yada yada ..

10:44 pm

10:49 pm

for the di 5/12 (times 3) - i have the money and the refined way of saying 'eating'...missing the other...any clues?

10:50 pm

Sorry Eastern, I don't have those either.

10:51 pm

JW - thanks anyway...I'm trying to break 100...

10:52 pm

di5 & di6 are a chemical term, or look like a sand hill with an i chucked in the middle.

10:52 pm

Di 5/12 - death plus shortened form of word used when maiden name is given in an announcement.

10:53 pm

Sorry folks - stepped away for a sec and got sidetracked by the weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow :o(

10:55 pm

Oh goody, I only need one more, not two!!

10:59 pm

11:05 pm

Jera - pl. the nickname given to Prince Andy

11:05 pm

thats a bad issue to have in this game for sure...........

11:05 pm

Whenever I start to long for winter and the change of seasons in Ohio, I think back to the times I had to lay in the snow in sub-freezing cold to thaw out my fuel oil tank, or climb under a truck in the snow and slush, to try to clear frozen fuel lines..

11:05 pm

101 woo hoo!!!

11:06 pm

EB - you're past the halfway mark!

11:06 pm

Hugs - I can rest easy tonight...

congrats sproing... yet ere i toil...

11:09 pm

Yay Sproing!!

11:09 pm

And you migrated to sunny southern Cali?

11:10 pm

the first snow in Boston is ok, but after several months of snow, ice and my car getting towed after a nor'easter and having to trudge through 4 foot drifts to get to the car pound, it gets kind of old...

11:10 pm

The INSTANT it was offered, Hugs!

11:10 pm

Tell me about it sproing... we've had snow arrive at the beginning of October and last well into May.

11:11 pm

Boston is great, apart from the weather... (and the terrible bullpen we seem to have at the moment)

11:11 pm

I'd do the same thing Tor!

11:11 pm

Let's go Yankees...

11:11 pm

Thanks! Next is pe6/24... I have the Finnish coins & the weights

11:12 pm

I really wouldn't be surprised if we got snow in October this year (it snowed here in May this year)

11:14 pm

Jera - there are 2 variations of the Finnish coins. just change the last letter

11:14 pm

ok, well, I'd better get myself to bed -- need to be up bright and early to tackle tomorrow's grid... :)

Me, too! Think I'll quit while I'm only 10 behind... night all!

11:20 pm

Sleep well, EasternBlue. May a choir of angels sing thee to thy rest, and a flock of twitchy wombats wake thee in the morning.

11:21 pm

Niters, Jera! Visions of sugarplums and all that..

11:22 pm

tor - now I'm too scared to sleep - wombats?? too energetic for the morning : ) bye!

11:22 pm

Sorry! How about lethargic lemurs?

11:23 pm

Goodnight Jera.... sleep well.

11:24 pm

How about a gentle housecat with low self-esteem pensively mewing from a respectful distance?

11:25 pm

tor - my hubby is allergic & the sneezing would be immense! I'll settle for my little alarm clock & the chirping of birds & squirrels outside my window... night!

11:25 pm

bah, 67 is about as high as I can get. looking forward to the next puzzle after midnight...or 3pm in my case ;)

11:26 pm

Sleep tight, little EasternBlue!

11:27 pm

Abaddon - So am I.

11:28 pm

Am I the only Australian here? :D

11:32 pm

Don't know, Ab84. I thought I saw some Babblers from the land of Oz before..

11:33 pm

Hahaha. We must be a rare breed.

11:33 pm

I know of one player from New Z. But I don't think he posts at all.

11:34 pm

Hugabugs - Ah, righto.

11:35 pm

There are so many that don't post. Just look at the list of how many have played on any certain day, and compare to the number who have posted. We are of the few.

11:36 pm

Hmm...if I can get to 80+ by the turn of the hour I'll be happy :)

11:36 pm

So how can I help?

11:37 pm

As Babble spans the globe, we're sure to see new players from Myroochedore, Cairns, Melbourne, Hallam, Victoria, and other well-known population centres.

11:37 pm

aah yeah. 450 in the world. thats not bad for my fourth or so day.

11:39 pm

Well done, Ab! Aparently, if you don't play every day, you move up in the standings faster. I don't get it either.

11:39 pm

I'm so obsessive... I just HAVE to complete the grid if at all physically possible.

11:40 pm

Hmm...mathematically that doesn't make sense. I'm not really playing for rank I'm just trying to stretch my English vocab daily :)

11:42 pm

I'de love to complete all the puzzles but I neither have the time or the know how. Too bad work has to get done!

11:42 pm

four more words to eighty....

11:44 pm

Abaddon - what particular ones are you looking for?

11:45 pm

lol, anything really :D I see so many good words that are close to being in there, but aren't :( its frustrating. (i wont say them in case i'm not allowed to )

11:47 pm

Do you have the Pr5 word - simialr to the shrip you throw on the barby.

11:47 pm

oh, we've covered a lot of them early on.

11:47 pm

I have that Dianne. Thanks :)

11:49 pm

Do you have the Br8 - Remy Martin/Martell?

11:52 pm

Nope...

11:52 pm

This one's almost done, and so am I. G'nite Ab84! G'nite, Hugs!!! *Big ol' hug! & kiss!* See y'all tomorrow!

11:53 pm

11:54 pm
