GW, my retail friend! Now I know where you work!
I just was able to get 62 words on yesterday's puzzle before the changeover
And borg should have been a word!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I AGREE!!! Evening,morn,day all.
Okay, I'll stop talking about yesterday, even though it was just a couple of minutes ago!
JB - Specifically, I am in the Plymouth Meeting Store -- come by and visit sometime!
jb - i agree - i use borg - you know when you hab a cold and you need ur turf borg
h 8
We (hubby 'n me) were there about 2 months ago, he needs new glasses, but he decided to get them at Einstein Hospital.
186 words
Oh, ren, WHAT?
There is no way I should be here for the new puzzle's arrival!
Oh, yeah, and DON'T post words in the log!
186 words
Did anyone every hear from brandyjack yesterday?
186 words 4-letter words: 96 5-letter words: 62 6-letter words: 22 7-letter words: 3 8-letter words: 3
yoink - is there any reason why you shouldn't be here?
Good Evening, everyone
hi nan
I saw that stats were posted around 5pm Saturday per Babble Anonymous time.
hello cyber
yeah - I told yoink to go to bed ages ago..... ; ) *refresh* for my pic - I jazzed up a pic from google
JB - well, come by and visit anyway. I would love to put a face to the name :)
Ren? What is "turf borg?" All I can think of is "surf board"... (oh yeah, waaaa--aaaayyyy past her bedtime!)
the australian animal is in there!! Cool
brandyjack was around yesterday, harp. I saw him later in the day.
hello to all now is it brandy or bread for the icon ??
you're rite JB !!!!!! on all counts
i thought bread made the cut, refresh to see my slice.
brandy - cos brandyjack wasn't able to post the stats and everybody missed his good work.
Hey, my name is in there. Also my favorite instrument!
bread is Monday. Brandy is today.
Time for me to go, Folks -- time for nighttime rituals and stuff -- will see you all later (*Hugs for Everyone*) (*extra hug for ren*) TTFN
Cool, GWoulf! But then, how do I explain to DH (dear husband) that I know this guy who works in this store from a chat room on the internet that I log onto after he goes to bed?
harpjane, thanks for the H4/5
Wait, Woulfie, I have to know!
That's your prob, JB ;D
gw - jerry is skinny and has black hair in this movie
What a guy! Thanks, G, & sleep well!
thanks harjpane, cheers! and refresh...
thanks wolfie - (hug for you and yours)
Renfield, bevause it's after 6am here and I've not slept for nearly a day. Babs, when do I ever listen to you? ;-) New icon... Refresh
hello again with brandy in hand
Sounds cool, ren but the hydrocodone has taken its expected effect and I am out of here! JB -- all you really need to do is let him read some of the chat logs and all should be cool unless he is the extremely jealous type
well nappy - enjoy - you look good on that white horse
sleep and rest gw -
G'nite again to all...ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz!!
nice icon choice, Yoink. you staying up much longer? I've copied the grid and I'm off to try and sleep again.
*hugs* GW. sweet dreams
Here's to you, Brandyjack -- we missed you!
Did you get the cryptic link Babs? I'm going to be gone v soon too. Need to get up tomorrow to go out with my sister and my nephew
Ah, well, He snoozes, he loses! But I love him, so I'll keep him as long as he keeps me!
cheers, brandyjack!! *raises glass*
There's a lot of duplication -- it's going to be tough!
Cheers to Brandy Jack and all who babble with him
*cryptic link flies over Bab's head* no, I didn't see anything, Yoink.... :/
Who is riding the horse?
Napoleaon
oh yeah, I got THAT! : ) it's Napoleon, innit ?
it's a lovely painting. i like the colours.
And a make of Brandy ( at least in this country)?
yes, I knooooooooooooooooow stop making me smile. :/
the very best napoleon brandy of course
Um, Blaze? It looks like a gingerbread bear to me.
refresh it is brandy now....
I apologise profusely for any smiles caused by me Babs, please feel free to frown and grimace
Hi. Will change icon soon. Went a bit wild with Paint.
ha4 (can't say your name, can I!), did you find your pic in google? I really like it.
Yup. Googled "Armagnac" I don't think it's brandy, technically. But I can afford it and I can't usually afford Remy!
Yoink/Napy you look most dashing.
renfield, you still here?
My expensive taste in alcohol has kept me from becoming a drunkard, I think!
ok, thanks Yoink......... : ( *grump grump grump* what's corvoisier? is that brandy?
Hi. Late!
I like it mab!
hello zubie how goes it today??
Hi everybody
You mean, we've seen that marsupial before? I thought I made up a word, and it was accepted. Never heard of it.
lovely icon griffs....
Good night, everyone! 45 words, have to leave the rest til tomorrow. Happy Babbling to all you across the pond!
oh, griff -- perfect!
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! :o Hi Blaze, I'm late!
Pretty easy choice. :D
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! :o Hi Blaze, I'm late!
oh my gosh zubie you sound like a teenager who just found out she is pregnant.......
Babs, Courvoisier is a cognac which is a brandy. Goodnight all, 6:30 really is pushing things. ((((Babbler))))
Hi Griff, Blaze
me too, Yoink, off to sleep now ((((( Yoink )))) nite all, again !
howdy cyber nan..... how is the interior tonite.??
Morning all!
hi sprite!
hello sprite.... getting lots of words tonight... how are you ??
Wow Griffs, I like the live saver dog :)
Blaze: warmer today -- snow slowly disappearing. How about the lower mainland?
LOL! LOL Blaze! :P Ok, I'll modify that. I'm late to log in today! :PPPP
*life* saver dog
mainland is cool but nice.... not rain or snow or fog...
How many words in this grid anyway? Waaa GW left already!
Here in Montana were above zero F. Much easier on my ha5
182 and it is a fun grid
oops 186 words...
sp 6 21 and I'm reminded of my ankle!
182, 186... do I hear 190?
186 and sold!
Cheers to all and good night!
thank you Zubie sorry for the miss type.... my fingers are lazy tonite....
gnight. must prepare the for church musician Christmas vortex. two rehearsals (one starts in 7 hours), a church service, and a choir concert tomorrow.
182 -- 186 What's an extra four to find, Blaze? ;D
I know I know... but you are such a good babbler you will ace it .... I am sure...
Trying to get me all complacent, Blaze? :D
Yes.... would you like a brandy with that.....
wi 5 20 was what I did when I sp 6 21 the ankle
Thanks for the offer, Blaze, but I'll take a lemonade if it's all the same to you. :)
wi 4/8 is what I've become since I started carrying this keg around my neck
I am a lemonade person myself....
Anyone found a 7 or 8 yet?
zubie, did you sp 6 it, or st 6 your ankle?
I a 5 18 your answer :D
nothing over a 5 for me....
h 8 55 the phil H
Ah thanks, harp. I didn't see the st just the sp :D Do you like bo 5 14 and bo 514? I am a little scared of the latter, being wild.
H8/55 and R7/36... both very nice words :)
zubie, you can't use my name today. Guess why?
i've got an R 7
Do you see a lot of ho 4 5 these days, it being so cold?
Tch tch jane. :/ I'd better call you jane :D
zubie it will be a while before you can p 6/24 around like the reindeer...
U7/48, same ending as the H8, boss or knob at the center of a shield-like"
Ok that last one was a "bluff gnite" this is the real one.
Got 'em, Blaze and Sprite -- unusual for me!
I was gonna just stop in and say hi and g'nite but this is too good a grid...gonna go make some coffee
Spoken as a true babbler, Griffs! :D
That's true, Blaze. No 7's for me yet. :/
B5/22 We have seen that one before :)
My t 6 21 feels sore. Pass me salt water, someone!
Ah, HP's Willow has hit the grid :)
zubie I have some t 6 wordfs but not your t6 the ones I do have are funny when I think of them being sore... LOL
I saw that earlier, Sprite - thought the same thing. :)
LOL Blaze!
Blaze -- a a a choo!!! ;D Now you'll know
GMTA, Griffs... as ever ;)
Brandyjack you're a gem -- thanks for getting the list up so quickly.
Hi all. Thank you Brandyjack.
Funny N6/30... sounds like a symbol font in Windows.
thank you sprite
Still didn't get the t 6, Blaze?!
must dash for 5
A8/50 Did anyone finish the As yet? I am two short and out of my depth with them.
I'm not even in the same end of the pool. Looking hard for that a8 tho
The A8 means having three unequal crystal axes intersecting at oblique angles; "triclinic system". But it sounds more like someone who loves the south.
Oh. Actually I got that clue from being a rockhound. Thanks!
Ha. Rockhound. Didn't catch that when I typed it.
LMAO, Griffs!
The u - is the second letter n? Or am I baying on a wrong trail?
Breakfast time with 20 left. I want those 2 missing As. They are either real stupid words or so obvious I look right through them.
zubie: you are one leg short :)
Probably from all the trouble with your ankle.
Well, it's only the ankle that's gone (mock hurt) - not the whole leg! ;D
There is only one un-word in the grid and it is not the 8.
Errrrr.... the 7.
8, 7.... do I hear 6?
Sold for 7! [bangs gavel on babble grid] ;D
It's the 5!
I was waiting for you to get to that, sprite!
Sorry it took me that long, I was making breakfast :)
If you don't give me a clue to u7....[threateningly]
This really is just one of the most fun grids in a while! Words everywhere! And I know some of them!
the u7 is a STUPIDHEAD word just my opinion
Don't you dare s 5 14 my foot!
w 5 24 and all my breath left me.
There is an Um4/8 (small projection at the center of the outer surface of the eardrum) Make that an adjective for the 7.
Sprite gave the clue earlier, but here's mine: Famous elephant plus ni 4/5. Now remove the letter at the front and the letter at the end.
Babar?
Griffs, that's about the best clue I have ever seen!
What a weird word? What does it mean? :D Got it, anyway. Thanks, Griff.
Celeste?
hee hee... a REAL elephant oops, maybe I just let the elephant out of the reality bag Babar IS real, he IS real
mab - think common word used to refer to elephant.
I was thinking Dumbo lol.
It's certainly the most far-reaching one I've seen in a while! Not as good as my Mrs. Roosevelt clue (personal best).
What a stupidhead word!
Then you were thinking right, roguegirl.
That works too, Rogue.
hey it was the first famous elephant I thought of. It was word association.
big un grid word for tonight "thumbprints"
And there was Griffs, bending over backwards to avoid naming the elephant.
Things that go b 4 9 in the night are not always elephants.
Did I let the elephant out of the bag?
The Elephant Who Must Not Be Named which is okay because NOBODY KNOWS WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT the real one who was very famous and later got whacked by a freight train now THAT's real <boooo hoooo!>
Must be one of the biggest justnotthere words ever, Blaze :)
Oooooo, Blaze, that's marvelous!
It seems to have a meaning in heraldry, anatomy, and something else I'm already forgetting.
Does this un-elephant play the t 4 7? Or is that its t 4 8? Or maybe they play the h 4 6?
now if the un 5 would just pop out at me....LOL
Catchy slogan, though: "Hooked on um 7/48's worked for me!"
I know, I know the one, Griffums! I 'ust cannot tell you! ;D
If it does, blaze, some girls might think you got lucky.
Thank you zubie!
It will u 514 you when it does, Blaze. That is, if you weren't who/what you are. ;D
Some of my remarks are reputedly Un5-ning, or so I am told.
ok - you guys are having too much fun - i'm trying to watch the grateful dead and keep up w/ you all
Don't you dare m 4 5 about the music. It's quite h 8 55, you know. It's all part of the a 4 4 and you will w 4 8 to w 4 8 and listen till m 4 5.
No chance in hell you can do whatever else AND keep up with us all!
Uhura, activate the universal translator
Griffs, just put that Babel fish in your ear.
messing w/ my head - zubie - take me to your leader
I will. Right next to my um 4/8.
You guys are making me look at UN words, which I always leave for last, when I can see what I have to un.
you are so right.....
I just can't give you a h 4 5 I'm afraid. I've told you t 5 20 already. Don't call me b 5 22! I'm going to the n 5 12 to santaville.
Which is smart, mab - waiting on the re's and un's. I have been working a different pattern this last week, doing a big pass through and then working the alpha back to front so I don't do as much scrolling. laaaaazy
mab, you can look for the one now and be done with it :)
Well I do have the stupidhead word.
9 more words and still those 2 darn As are missing in action. I can count Griffs out, she will leave the As for last. But anyone else who finished the As?
Sorry ren [un-messes your head! Oooh an 'un' word ;D] I'll shut up and then you'll be un-messed-in-your-head :D
Which is great, as I'd never identify it on my own.
gawd, sprite, I can't BELIEVE how fast you are at this. I have four of the a's but that's no help!
mab, I am fascinated by your icon. Is it a door that just reveals the backside of a cat?
Griffs, it could be, if they are the ones I am missing :)
No! It should be a bottle of brandy, Sprite. I did have a very strange looking one earlier, but I've since changed.
No, they aren't. Actually I have six of them and one of them you gave me. Otherwise they're easy words.
I have Ab x 6, Am x 4, An x 4, Ao, Ar x 2, Aw.
Sprite, you're missing 2 ab's.
sunrise in London...morning all :) ...now to work out what that elephant clue was all about...
Ah, refreshing did chase the cat away and brought me a nice bottle, mab. But I still wonder what the icon was :)
hi sherb!
Hi sherb! You remember Cliff Richard and the Young Ones? Living doll? "Got to lock her up in a trunk... so no big hunk..." "I feel sorry for the elephant."
hi griff :) sprite - lol, the mysteries of word association...
Griffs... thanks! No idea what more words there can be with Ab, but I will find them. If all else fails, I will stoop as low as using A2Z :)
sherb - be very sure you are awake - sprite, griffs, and zub are um'n and elephanting
ab's - five 5-letter, two 6-letter, one 4-letter
thanks for the warning, ren...I'd better go and get some coffee...
<jawdrop> I just typo'd one of them trying to put in something else....that CAN'T be a word!
Missing two 5s then. Am I being particularly stupid or are they NONwords?
ab + popular 3-letter acronym for one's online point of view
*jawdrop even bigger than Griffs'* Typed it in conform your clue, though I was sure I misunderstood you... and it took. Okay, at least for this one I was not particularly stupid. It is a NONword!
When Mary took up poetry, she had a little ia 4 7. At least, I think it was poetry!
It may be that your other 5 is one that's an anagram of that same word
may i please have a clue to the 8 letter word ...st
Griffs, you are a gem! It was. Ab + something to do with electricity. NONwords if we have ever seen one, right?
Absababbalutely.
thank you once again;
Lol, zubie :)
Okay, so can I go back to working on my T's now?!?!? :)
hello every1!
You can, Griffs, and I am right with you. Thanks a million :)
Given myself a nursery earworm, sprite! Arrrgh!
You're welcome. Not often one gets to help the Ubercream of the crop. ;)
Good Morning Sam!
That's an um4/8worm zubie...
what happened to my logo!!!???
Griffs: :P Howdie, Sam!
Thanks Sprite, Griff and Zubie for you absolutely essential clues.
...ok, back with coffee... ...woken up this morning by a massive rumble like thunder, but not a cloud in the sky...turns out it was an explosion at an oil terminal 25 miles away...news shows it's pretty serious...
Sam: try refresh. It looks like a cartoon ant to me.
oh no sherb... :((
i like it!
oh sherb that is awful... will you need to evacuate ???
hello mab!
Oh sherb, how terrible. How close is it?
25 miles, I see it now :( SOrry.
It's a great grid today, Sam. Words just spilling out of it.
what happened to sherb??
i know what you mean.
mab
Sherb's okay, Sam.. An oil terminal not terribly far from her exploded.
Well, I remembered Disney's Lady and the T... and now I have 186 words / 4.68 / 2222 points. Isn't that a nice point total for a sweet grid like this? :D
thanks a lot blaze - trying to work the bottom half of the grid and see nothing but THUMBPRINTS
Too far away to affect me, but looks like it's had a big impact in that area. News reports are saying it looks like an accident...after the bombs in London this summer, when something like this happens, people tend to wonder...
Perfection! Well done, Sprite.
this grid is going so smoothly but I must depart until tomorrow.... have a great nite or day... stay safe sherb.
scrumpdillyishus, sprite
bye blaze!
Ya know, if I had ever been this diligent about homework I might have really gone places...
Griff! don't post words in the chat!
sorry griff.... it also has turnips....LOL
thanks blaze, nite and sleep tight :) ...and now back to elephant hunting...
Sleep well, Blaze.
bye blaze
Turnips with thumbprints... <of their own> makings of a sci fi movie
GO SPRITE! i gotta go bye.
Can't think anymore -- I'm sure the last 57 will keep until tomorrow! See you then. :)
that was short and sweet sam...bye, see you later :)
They don't call you Speedfreak Sam for nothing ---- Bye Sam.
bye-bye nan
Night Nan.
missed you there nan...nite nite, sleep tight :)
nite nan
Got to split. Good hunting everyone, this is such a great grid. One tip: autumn isn't in there :)
It is awfully late. See you all later....
later sprite -
st 8 - someone was looking for that clue earlier but I just got the word. keeping to my theme: st-word for opposite of weak, drop last letter plus 3-letter acronym for expressing one's online gratitude for something not yet provided
bye sprite, bye mab
ok mab - i'm trying to finisg the grateful dead movie -
....but winta is, lol... bye sprite, have a good day :) nite mab, sleep tight ;)
Ooh, Griff -- love the icon!
Thanks, nan. Glad the theme was brandy and not...well, not something other than brandy.
...love it when words you think are just colloquialisms are accepted...like some of the 'wh' words...
...on to the U's...found the elephant...what a good clue, griff :)
:) yw
Griffums - that was brilliant!!
Back.
Hey zubie
Had to go for a while
hi zubie :)
Hi sherb.
92 words.
done or to do?
...got, or still to get?
<give us time, we'll find 40 ways to say it>
lol
Done 92 and then had to leave. I hate being interrupted mid-grid :D
Either of you gals have the ha 6/33?
sorry Griff, you're way ahead of me...I'm working backwards, still on the T's...
I'm working backward too, I've just been here longer than you have. :D
I do, Griff. Just got it
Would you like to share a hi4/5 with the class?
ha 6 33- Anthony Hopkins acted as Dr. ....... Lester. Take the first four of that and the first two of the sound a baby makes when crying.
Despite the fact that his last name was Lecter and actually it's *not* the first 4 letters of his first name, I still got that word. Thanks!
might have to look that one up too
Hehe. Sorry. I knew that it would be too easy if I told you to fiddle with the consonants. Sorry about the Lecter, though.
hee hee
now I've got to find it and look it up too!...why am I so easily distracted?
hello all! Has there been a clue for the an8/50? Would love a clue!
Just about the time I hit the dead end in dictionary.com, I remembered what that was. (but isn't that a proper noun? I thought those weren't allowed) maybe it's a generic term for those rituals but I thought it was capitalized. Blah blah blah runonsentence.
Back in a while.
later zubie... hi helenary :) not got to the A's yet, I'm afraid...
Helenary - def "having three unequal crystal axes intersecting at oblique angles; "triclinic system" but I liked sprite's clue better about it describing someone who prefers to be in the south.
Thank you so much Griff..
chure
There are certain 'instruments' that help this puzzle flow?? agree??
:) yes
And that's it for me! <small woo hoo> Can I try to give any clues before I toddle off to bed?
woo hoo to you, Griff! :)
Griff - back - can I pass you my grid to complete for me?
Sure. Deadline is another matter. ;)
*Grid hurtles towards Griff across virtual space*
yes...iwas always taught to pass your paper forward
I'll be here for a few minutes if I can help anyone - can't go to bed until I fold the laundry that's on it. Dumped a huge armload onto the dog sleeping on the bed, and he is grinning at me.
*pulls grid out of ear, adjusts glasses* ow. There ought to be a speed limit on that thing.
Dog-scented laundry, fresh and grinny :o
He's a virtually (and literally) odor-free dog, only one I've ever had in 30 years of dogs. And likes his laundry warm!
Christa - does you icon show a cat looking through a goldfish bowl?
Cool dog! [;D too great an opportunity to pass up! How often can I say 'cool dog' about a warmth-loving one? :D]
Is he the one in your icon, by the way, Griff?
Well, given where we live, it's a safe bet most of the year. :)
Just noticed the 'Alaska', Griff. :)
Oh no - that one I picked up just for the brandy icon theme. Hunter is featured prominently on my blog if you want to see him. Very, very adorable dog. Dumber than a box of rocks, and serves no other purpose, and that's perfectly okay.
Ok - where's the blog?
Address is in my profile but it's planetpeg.blogspot.com
*Bounding off to read* My grid'll never get done at this rate. Oh, wait! I sent it to you! :D
Um, er, uh....my dog ate it!
adorable-looking dog, Griff :)
*aaaugh* Don't read it, lately it's all dry and boring stuff. But if you scroll down that first page you'll see at least half a dozen pictures of the handsome dude.
You know what, Griff? I opened the page and the first thing to leap out at me was something that said "Way to go Idaho" except...except that I read it as: "Way to go, Zubie"! Tell me that I've been babbling too long! :D
Thanks, sherb. He really is. He has lots of ghosts behind those eyes but we're working on 'em.
Way to go, Zubie!
Don't SAY that! :D He's cute. :D
Yep, he stops traffic. <which is lucky when you're a dog I guess>
Okay, the laundry is folded, the dog is going out to pee, I've been distracting you instead of giving you clues, so I'm going to bed!
goodnight Griff, and Hunter :)
'Night Griff.
...stuck on the T's, time for a break...back later...
Ok, Sherb.
hi again..could I have some clues for ha5/14 and ha6/33 which I think is a plural..but also ha8/55. Please?
H Hhelenary, Just ready to sign off when I saw your plea. Hope these help: ha5/14 - To raise or elevate ha6/33 - Figurines found in Japanese tombs, (3rd to 6th century), used as spiritual protection ha8/55 - Pleasing to the ear Have a good day.
thanks summer B..nice message..I'll work on those clues ..have a good am/pm or eve. its 9.15pm here.
Also for ha8: Think instrument
i think I have the instrument..but where to go from there..also stuck with ha6/33 but still working hard!!
Not strings - mouth instrument
yup..just found it..now what was that Japanese figurine..could you give the third letter??
The 3rd letter is 'n' it's a new word to me... remember it's Japanese...another clue: ends in vowel
I really must be going now. Good luck and have a great night.
thank you so much . sleep well
Hi Folks! So it IS Brandy Day, then! :)
can anyone please give me a clue for an 8 letter word
Is it ha8........like a mouth organ!!!! Hi Sherry, mmmmmmm brandy!!
can someone please give me a clue for the an 8/50
It`s a strange word....it means having 3 unequal crystal axes intersecting at oblique angles...... Good luck :)
morning ruthy, u not on msn. H
Yeah! Got it Lotti! I googled your def and got a word in 't', and then went to a thesaurus to have a synonym.
Brilliant Sherry......i didn`t want to give a sound like version, cos it`s too early :)
Good morning, everyone. Just taking five minutes breather from lunch preparations. It's a musical grid today.
Hi Haz! Indeed!
Hi Haz....i`ll be boarding the ferry if one of those scrummy cakes follows lunch today!!!!! ;o)
Lunch menu - Tomato and orange soup, Roast beef with Bushmills sauce, baby boiled potatoes, potato croquettes, mixed vegetables, cinammon pavlova with fresh fruit and strawberry coulis. Freshly ground coffee to follow. There are seats available...
Haz! Wow! That sounds REALLY good!
Don't ask me to sew anything or do anything mechanical, but I do like to cook!
Mmmmmm !!! On my way,i`ll be kind enough to let someone else have my coulis!!! See you soon *deep thought* I wonder if Anj`s jet is available!!??!!!!
If it is, I'll expect you here pr 6/21.
Cool clue Haz! Go it!
And with that, I must depart. See you all post-lunch.
See ya Haz! Bon appetit!
I hope so!!! I was just thinking it`s nerly 20 years since i was in Ireland...County Wexford.
Lotti: you lived in Ireland?
No Sherry i went for a two week holiday with my friend, she had family there.....we ended up staying three weeks!!!! It was fantastic :)
Good morning everyone. Looks like a hard one today, nu?
Hi Eva....have those bird feeders finally been put out ??
I bet it was!!! I went to Dublin in March 2004. I stayed 2 weeks. In Dublin and in Roscommon. Felt like home! After that, I was sure I wanted to move to Ireland.
Hi Eva! It's not bad actually.
Sherry i know what you mean...it`s easy to fall in love with the place....and the people!!!! Then i was only 16, i`d love to do it again someday :)
Yes lotti and it only took them 2 days to come back. Makes me so happy! Although not everyone has returned yet. The chickadees were first, of course, the brash little guys, and then a pileated woodpecked and a redheaded one and a creeper. And thejays of course. I'm still awaiting the cardinals (so shy you don't see them haf the time) and the mourning doves and the goldfinches. Then the owls will show up to try to eat everyone else.
Oh wow...a lot of activity in your garden then!! Thats the beauty of winter, people forget things like that when grumbling about the weather!!
has miy made an appearance yet? hope she's ok ... for anyone who doesn't know - http://www.sky.com/skynews/art icle/0,,30000-1205711,00.html
That sounds great Eva! My sister is afraid of owls. We have a couple in the park just down out building. My mom she is feeding the birds too. These days , we have mainly 'mesange'.
No she hasn`t yet Atalante....is that the blast you`re on about?? My hubby has gone to Reading this morning, so i would imagine he`s had to use a different route !!
Atalante: does Miy lives in that area?
Sherry, qu'est que c'est "mesange", en anglaise? Je nai jamais connu quelqun qui a peur des "owls". So much for my high school french. Owls are indeed awe inspiring and I guess that could be frightening.
Eva: my sister hates their hooting! GIves her the creeps! mesange is 'tit'. We have blue tits, great tits and coal tits.
I actually love winter. It would be pretty hard to live in Vermont otherwise. Although a lot of the old timers go away to tropical climes for a couple of months in the heart of winter and by mid-March it gets a bit old. I love the sense of everything coming to a halt, the restfulness, and even the daily struggle with staying warm. Reminds us that there are things much more powerful than our little self-centered universes. The colours and sounds become so much more subtle. Remind me I said this when the pipes freeze up!
LOL Eva....I know what you mean though :)
Lol Eva! Winter here is not cold. Usually goes around -5 at the worse in Toulouse. But I lived in Quebec and that was a different story! I liked it though.
I haven't been iin Quebec for 40 years, but we just moved here from Masachusetts a year ago, and are only 2 hours from Montreal, so are planning to visit-probably in the spring though. Any tips for good places to stay and see and eat in Quebec?
Well, I left a long toime ago but I remember the underground city was really cool. And the Mont Royal Park is beautiful. It gives you an incredible view.
yeah, she lives pretty close to where the explosion was ...
Oh boy...I hope she is allright. It reminds me of the blast we had in Toulouse on September 21st 2001. My district was heavily hit. My mother still feels very upset when she hears something that sounds like a blast.
Hope they`re all ok, it sounds awful doesn`t it :(
I'm sure she's fine, it'll just be nice to see her here!
good morning everyone
Hi Poo's Mom!
Things like that must live with you forever!!
Which explosion are you talking about?
Hi Poo`s mum :)
an oil depot north of london wasn't it?
One in South England UK this morning Eva.
Oh boy, haven't listened to the news yet! What happened?
Indeed Lotti! we're ok most of us but you can't forget. My mom she was visiting a friend in a building even closer to the plant that blasted than our home. The blast threw her against a wall. She came home shocked. My sister was at work and she saw the floor of her office rise and the roof too. When she came home and discovered that the wall of her room was gone and some of her shoes were on the grass, she cried. It was a hard moment. But people in the area should great solidarity and compassion for one another.
I have to go for a while. See ya later folks!
http://www.sky.com/skynews/art icle/0,,30000-1205711,00.html
bye sherry
Oh...see ya later Sherry :)
back later - laundry is calling....
stove time
Wow I just read that article thats terible
Have you heard about the explosion?! ...I mean, Hi :)
yeah we were all wondering about you are you ok
Hi Miya! Yeah. We were wondering if you were ok.
Aw, I'm fine thanks! I'm about two miles away from it, but it was enough to blow my bedroom door off at 6 this morning :/
Wow. ...
oh wow
((((((((Miyavi))))))))
Yeah...scary biscotti :) Sherry, it was on the news that they could hear it in France, did you hear anything? The sky is all black, and we aren't allowed to open windows or go outside
Hey Lotti *big hugs* :) Did you hear anything?
Well, I live in the south..so no.
Riiiight :) That's lucky. I couldn't believe it when I heard it this morning...just looked around my room and my door had gone AWOL! And it turned my CD player on somehow o_O
No i didn`t hear it babe....must be too far north, but hubby has driven to Reading this morning so he`s prob had to take a detour or two!!!
Oh no! He'll be stuck in bad traffic :( I just can't believe how black the sky is here...it's like an eclipse. You couldn't tell by looking whethere it's day or night
This is hard work.....i`m not the fastest typer in the world. I`m trying to follow the log and chat on MSN with a friend Aaaaaaaaargh!!!!! :/
Deep breaths Lotti :) ...Just don't inhale any fumes :)
LOL Miyavi!!! I`ll send the hubby round to rescue you shall I ???
Are people in Reading as badly hit as you Miya? I know someone in Reading.
Lol! I wouldn't, Lotti, nobody's allowed outside because of all the fumes around here :) You should see the sky over my house, it's totally BLACK
Sherry, I'm not sure where Reading is in comparison to Hemel :( I'm sure they're fine though, I think it's only the people in the immediate vicinity that may have to evacuate :/
Oh well, he`ll have to meet you another day eh!!!!???? I hope it clears soon and they find out the exact chemicals and harm they may or may not do.
Must get a coffee bbs :)
Ok, Miya. See ya Lotti!
Okay Lotti :) No, wait, I can't meet your hubby! I was trying to seduce him by running away and hiding in a cupboard :D
Hi guys! Miy - all the news channels have roving reporters all over the streets of your town. Go and see if you can get on the tele!
HI Dachef!
Dachef! No can do, we're not allowed outside because of the fumes. Besides, you don't want my mug on telly :) Plus, what would I say?! "hello world, this morning a fire blew my door off. Bye!"
Hi Sherry! Miy - LOL! You should try and see if you can mention Babble on Sky News. That would elevate you to the status of God.
Lol! I think the reporters may have to come in though, since my mum's fanatical about none of us going out. We can't even have windows open! The sky is pitch black
yeh, know what you mean. Watching on the tele the streets are really empty. Also, the news reporters look decidedly shifty when talking about the chemicals in the cloud. You just know that as soon as the camera is off they say "quick, lets get the fu4 out of here".
Lol! *gasps* You can read miiiinds...yeah, at Church this morning, we hadn't been told not to go out yet (oops) but it was almost empty, at least half the congregation wasn't there
I'm off folks! 97 to go. See ya later! *great, big, huge hug for Miya*
Thanks Sherry ^_^ See you later! :)
laters Sherry!!!
*Grabs Miyavi in huge hug, waves to everyone else*
Hey Deutsch! Did you hear? :) Man, I sound like a hyperactive kid now. Most exciting thing that's happened to me in several weeks :)
Hi i`m back....Miyavi, re:- the seduction thing..... I haven`t forgotten!!!! LOl Hey Dachef how are you ??
*cringes*
Yes, dear! I read the log , then went to the news. sounds scary and terrible.
*Waves back at Dettsch*
Hi Lotti!
ooops Deutsch!!
Sokay, Lotti (litti!)
Hi lotti, Deutsch. Watching this fire thingy on tv. Its getting sad now. They've been talking about it for so long taht they're having to dredge up any old expert they can find. A classic exchange just took place on BBC News: "so, are there any firefighters inside the plant?" "Noooo, I do not believe that there are any firefighters actually in the fire."
LOL....i forgot about that!!! It wasn`t to get back at ya honest!!! :)
It's not that bad...some of the birds are acting kooky though :/
So, Dachef, I should get interviewed to save the reputation of my country's television :D
LOL Dachef....!!!! Does that mean they will put some in then??!!!!!
Miy - put a big Babble banner in your window! If it was me I would put on my bio-hazard suit and walk around with a big placard saying "the end is nigh"!
so brandyjack is back today - did we find out what happened yesterday, was he ok? (btw, while others are having brandy icons, mine is jack)
Kisses and hugs to everyone over there! BBL to check!
Dachef, why can I see that happening?!
*making banner*
Hi Hurshy :)
<sends bio-hazard suit to Miyavi-fan. Thinks about it, and then decides to throw in an old christmas paper hat and some purple paint to complete the look>
I may, however, go in the middle of the street and start sobbing over a run over hedgehog or something, saying, "This is what your precious oil has done to us! This hedgehog was the only thing I ever loved..."
Oh Dachef, it's just what I always wanted! (((Dachef)))
hi lotti!
hey, this is a christmasy puzzle... "he's makin' a list and checkin' it tw5 gonna find out who's naughty or ni4..."
Hi Hurshy! Is there a theme thingy for today then? Im afraid Ive been away - Im a wee bit out of touch.
yes, dachef, today's theme is brandy because brandyjack was MIA yesterday and we all missed him
in that case, back in a mo....
Do we know why "bread" is the theme for tomorrow???
morning. what fumes? what did I miss? haven't seen the news yet.
yes, bread is for me. bread yummy.
Harpjane, an oil warehouse blew up about two miles away from where I live, in Hemel
yikes, is it under control miy?!
Hurshy, um, ish...it'll take several days for it to all go out. But the air is thick with fumes, and we're not allowed out. The sky is black. When it exploded this morning, my bedroom door blew off!
Does this give you extra time off school Miyavi??
how awful, miy! don't breathe unless it's absolutely necessary.
gosh, i hope you're safe miy. wow.
Lotti, I hope so! Harpjane, lol! I'll hold my breath until the smoke's cleared XD Hurshy, we're all fine thanks :) Blimmin scary though...the noise was the loudest I've ever heard. It was like a train had crashed into my room!
keep wanting to enter turnip.
It`s on BBC1 now.....they can`t believe no one was killed in the blast!! They also said they don`t believe the smoke is toxic!!!......Oh Miyavi, back to school tomorrow then!!! :(
Dachef, you`ve obviously worked with food too long!!! Are you sick of the sight of Christmas dinners yet???
Nooo, they can't make me go :) Funny though, since police have warned us all to stay in our houses with the windows closed! Crazy.
Miyavi...it will be the first steps they take in a situation like that :)
when I said Iwanted to enter turnip, I meant the word. I havent got a vegetable fetish. Lotti - my place doesnt really do Xmas dinners. We just get busier with harrassed people trying to do their shopping.
LOL Dachef!!!!!!OMG the images that conjours up!!!!! :/
*images of a naked Dachef with turnips in the key places running through mind* *has to go have a lie down*
although, thinking about it, cauliflowers can be quite attractive.
Yeah me too Miyavi !!!! Images that is......I don`t need a lie down, although I do need a shower and shampoo!!!
Dachef, they can never compare to curly kale. I try to control myself around it, but...most farmers in the immediate vicinity have enforced a restraining order
Lotti, you aren't making it any better lol :)
I have to go alone Miyavi.....Torgone will be tucked up in bed!!!!
*pats* there, there...ask Dachef to accompany you, he seems horny today :D
And I can't believe I just said that...
<decides not to say anything>
:/ probably wise, Dachef
No....I keep telling people, there is nooooooo substitute for my darling Tor!!!! ;o)
*comforts Dachef*
He`s too busy with his veg to be bothered Miyavi!!!! LOL
You know when you say something that you wish you hadnt?
Meat and two veg lol :D *shut up, brain, just shut up*
Yes, Dachef... ...That feeling seems to come increasingly today :/
<<awkward silence>>
Greetings everybody!!!!!!! Just eight more days to go 'til the big one!!!!!! And realizing that the theme for 2day is "brandy", as sneaky as I am, I 've decided to go for the actress/ R n' B singer of the same name......lol
Hi Movieman! LOL!!!!!
Hey Movieman! Did you hear about the <<boom>>?
Movieman - your icon had not refreshed on my screen, and originally showed a pic of the Incredible Hulk. I thought you were trying to be ironic!!!
miyavi - not until I started reading everyone elses posts, but it sounds extremely serious...
It wasn't that bad...the sky is black here though. And it blew my door off, though I'm two miles away o_O
glad you're alright Miy! I've spent most of the day ringing round friends and family who all live around that area!
Thanks Atalante :) I hope your family and friends are all okay too :)
They all seem to be :) What a way to start a Sunday morning!
Yup! I was most amused by more door making a journey down the landing though :) Oops, lunchtime...be right back :)
Hi there, me again, how many words today please?
186 words
Thank you Uneaixoise, your icon looks like what I just had for lunch with pate!
yum!
Yes, it was quite yummy, now I've jsut put the dinner in the oven, roast pork with roast veggies, looking forward to that. It is really foggy here, put the Xmas decs up this morning and now going to spend the rest of the day by the fire...
Could some1 aid me re: the 7's and the 8's...? They always seem to elude me (*sob*)... Gracias...
ro7: harlequin ro***** novels
movieman, ha8/55 Any of a series of musical tones whose frequencies are integral multiples of the frequency of a fundamental tone. Pleasing to the ear. Any clue for the ha6???
ha6 is very weird and has no definition . . . sorry
ha6 - first syllable ***s Solo off Star Wars (minus the s), second syllable: you in the first person, and third syllable: the sound a baby makes when it cries.
Dachef !!! Great Clue !!! Thanks
Dachef thanks great clues
Dachef - thanx 4 that clue!!!! Wouldn't have got it in a million years!!!
I`m back :) Une you`re a day ahead with your icon!!!
Hey again :) Just about to embark on the usual painful, manic and shouty mission that is putting the tree up :)
we always had great fun putting the tree up when i was a kid. me and my brother used to put bets on which of our parents would lose their temper first! Then we would have a month long battle to stop the dog getting amorous with the tree.
Miyavi, was just reading the news... you are very near blast??
LOL Dachef!!!
Jera, at 6 am this morning, it sounded like a train had crashed into the house. My door blew off, my bed moved across the room and the sky has a total blackout! We are two miles away :)
sorry--thought today was bread day! :-)
Ye gods, Miya, how frightening!! Now you are supposed to stay indoors? I bet the smell is awful...
Lol Dachef! The problem in my house is that my mum wants the tree perfect, which means ornaments hung geometrically perfect, all at right angles to one another. Then the angle of the tree has to be measured with a giant protractor
No, Brandy.....glad to see you`re well prepared though!!! lol :)
Jera, it absolutely stinks! It looks awful too, the whole sky above our house is just totally black. And none of the birds are out. The only movement outside is these great rolls of smoke blowing across the sky
That's horrible, Miya... yet here you are Babbling as normal! Good vibes, hon (I'd usually light a candle, but that somehow seems inappropriate...)
comes from being a Girl Scout for many years! LOL!
Lol Jera! :D Yes, babbling as usual...more than usual, since we aren't allowed out :)
hey hey hey, just me and the overtime today.
LOL Une....nice icon all the same!!!!
oh, and babble too i guess, wonder which will win?
Hey Eva :)
how ya doin miyavi? long time no type?
I'm good thanks Eva, how are you? Did you hear about the explosion?
no actually, please do tell...
An oil warehousey thing exploded in hemel :/ fires raging two miles away
Agreed -- the ha6/33 is a weird word and Dachef's clue was great -- got it quickly. Google 'japanese burial figurines' and you will find the word.
i see something earlier about your door though...sounds intriguing
It started at 6 this morning, when I was rudely awoken by a massive bang and my door flying off it's hinges and down the hall
omg!
i'm surprised i didn't see it in the news.
I know! It's awful! The sky is just black smog :/
is everyone okay? just deaf i imagine
I think it's on skynews...or it was earlier...and BBC
yes, nobody was hurt, thank goodness :)
hi Miyavi :) the explosion woke me up this morning, and I live 25 miles away! The sky over London is now covered in thin black cloud rolling down from the north. Amazing your door blew off!
yeah, we don't usually get bbc here in the states.
evanonut - www.sky.com or www.bbc.co.uk
Hey Sherb! Wasn't it massive? I'm only 2 miles away, so my door detoured :D and my bed moved! Eva, oops! In my defense, you have no flag :)
no biggie miyavi, just to poor for a flag.
I found a news story on Yahoo. Sounds awful. I haven't seen or heard it on our local news, but then again most of us are just waking up.
*pats*
i'm sure it will be on a nooon.
hmmm. seem to have trouble talking.
Wah...anyway, gotta go :) Must go reaffix my door lol :D
I wondered if it was thunder, until I got up and saw the skies were clear...looked all around 'cos it sounded (and felt) so close, but couldn't see anything...then I heard about the explosion on the news...
take care miyavi
Good morning, everyone! -- Nice icon Une, but tomorrow is bread day -- this is brandy day ( to thank Brandyjack)
Miya: So glad to hear you are all right just watched some news footage on world news. Had to laugh at you talking about decoration tree though, I always wondered why my boys ran away when I thought it would be a warm family get together, guess I am anal about my decorations also....
surprised i haven't seen a champers day yet.
the link is too long to post, but you can go to Yahoo! News, click on Europe, it's one of the top stories.
http://www.sky.com/skynews/hom e - main story
Oh dear, une and I are dressed alike. I shall go change!
There. I'm unique again!
I'm over 20 miles from the explosion, but the house rocked and the poor cat was terrified. I'm gazing at the huge black cloud in the sky.
miya, my favorite tree story is when I overslept and by the time I woke up, the tree was decorated and the dog had thrown up all over the presents. Why, 35 years later, does that memory still make me laugh?
hi everyone! just stopping in to say hi and hope everyone's ok...
nice harp. (both story and icon)
evan, you can't say my name today. It's a word. Go sit in the corner....
* sigh * right you are. i'll just go work on my overtime now.
well. I still have 141 words to find, so I'd better get to work...
and Im done! Whoo-hoo! Im on fire today! Whoops. bad taste!
lol...well done Dachef!
LOL......Well done Dachef !!!!!!!!
anybody stuck for clues? There are some really nasty words in there today - I confess to a2z'ing my last few!
would anyone care to get me started on the ab's? I have the 4 letter but nothing else.
help with first ta4/5 and 5/12
can't hj, i'm in the corner.
oh, all right, even, it was an honest mistake. come on out!
yeah, dachef, i just got back and these ab 5/18s are crazy. i have one very unlikely one with three consonants in the middle. what's the other?
doxy - think of the stuff that covers the roads, then stick a consonant second to last letter. No dic def for this one! The ta5 is the plural.
whew good! really didn't feel like working, now. when your on a mission and it goes awry, you ab*** mission.
hurshy - the ab5/18s all contain the same letters - just jumble them up! That word is one of the ones I had to a2z!
thank you dachef
i see from reading the log that the explosion was indeed close to some of you...i hope you will be well. bye now.
thanks dachef. sheesh.
Just 16 left to get and they`re all T`s !!!!
thanks Dachef...I was missing those T's :)
st8?
ab 5/18--now THERE'S a word you won't accidentally use in the log!
I've just finished looking at the skynews coverage that Atalante posted earlier --- sounds like there will be major disruptions in a lot of homes for a while. I hope everyone in the smokey areas has a really good mask (one of the rubber ones with filters attached) -- I've worked with chemicals in the course of making pottery for several years -- a lot of least suspected things can cause permanent damage.
lucky me.
Harpjane -- Haven't found the ab 5/18 -- got the first one, but not the second -- any clues? BTW - notice that you are in there!
doxy - st8 - an oxide of a chemical, named after a place in Scotland. Geoff Capes was the worlds st***gest man (lose the gest), and add the first name of a popular coffee liqueur.
cybernan - rearrange the letters of your ab5/18 to find the other.
I think the poice were telling everyone to wear masks if they went outside near the explosion, otherwise to stay inside and shut all the windows. Thank goodness there weren't chemicals on the site as well as oil products ...
ab 5/18, no clues. I got the first one from a2z and figured the second from monkeytyping. The first one has no definition. Three consonants surrounded by vowells.
oh boy...HUGE black cloud heading this way from the north...
when's it going to get to Kent, Sherb???!
thank you again dachef.
probably just a few hours, Atalante...it's heading your way...and there's not much wind to disperse it :(
phew. done with the a's.
oh joy! though it'll be dark anyway ... maybe it'll past in the night, she says hoepfully
is someone playing a weird joke on us with these words?
I think so Hurshy .... !
atalante - i live in kent too. kent, connecticut that is. and i grew up in kent county, rhode island. so i'll be thinking of you!
no, no...i use these words all the time, i swear.
lol evanonut
just not talking that way now cause hj sent me to the corner. :-D
Thank you -- it was the second one I had, not the first -- got it now.
Oh! I didn't know there was a Kent in any of the states! That's very cool! :) Is it horribly cold where you are? One of my friends in Maine has been pretty much frozen this week - and I know you're probably a good long way away from Portland, but its the same part of the world!
cold as heck her in pennsylvania - i know that.
AN 8? a clue?
well, we did get a lot of snow on friday. but today it's not too freezing. i mean, it's winter, so it's cold, but it's really quite pleasant out today.
...these words...think of the most improbable combination of letters, and that's your answer!
I have 17 words to find, a granddaughter's skirt to finish, a tree to finish decorating and a house to clean -- wonder if it all will get done today? -- you notice the priority!
bah hurshy - it's cold! now yesterday was nice
harp - a plus no5 (opposite of south) plus adjectival ending
winter days can be so lovely when there's blue skies and snow
evan - maybe it's just colder in PA than in CT :)
Thank you hurshy! I got the no5 clue also!
thank you hurshy, needed that one too.
possible, or maybe your tougher than me.
yw, i do so love to be helpful
but evan, you're a nut. a tough nut.
nan - I always laugh ironically when someone wishes me a peaceful Christmas...it's the busiest time of the year!
got the nut part right, necessary insanity i call it.
YES! got the hw on the first monkey.
gotta go now guys. Am gonna be working away from home for a while, with no real time on my hands, so I'll probably be back after Christmas. Gonna miss my babble, and you guys. Be good.
have a Merry Christmas dachef
oh, how sad. bye dachef!!
be good dachef
Merry Christmas Dachef :)
ar6?
You're one step ahead of me HJ - I was just going to ask for that!
ar6 - you can an6 someone with oil, change the n to an r. (just to be clear, the an6 to which i refer is NOT a word in today's puzzle.)
thank you hurshy
...working backwards, and I've just finished the S's...time for a break, back later...
see ya sherb!
Good morning! I think I'm getting dumber instead of smarter doing these things. I need soooo much help today. A2Z is starting to be my best friend. Any help out there w/the in 5/12 and the un 5/14?
Thanks Hurshy -- Bye Sherb
Any clues for the am 7/40? For the life of me, I can't see that many letters that could possibly go together!
in 5/12 add your upper limb
am 7/40 start with your prev am4. add the ending of the following: baller***
not got to the u's yet, sorry nonny
had to pop in and say hello....also to say thank you for the clues you have all posted....not got much time today so using them all like mad....thank you all
Thanx for the in Hurshy.....I now owe you in5/12 and a leg. :-P
un5 - un + opposite of female
hi grandmama!
clue for ha6/33, anyone?
Thanks again Hurshy -- had to look up the def on that one -- can't figure out why it isn't a proper noun!
hi hurshy dear.....we put up the Christmas tree today.....do you like it ?
Greetings All. What is today's theme? I need to get caught up.
lovely, karys. :)
ha6/33 think about the points, it's not so bad
ty hurshy....thought you would like it ... :)
It won't allow spraint, which in my dictionary means otter's poo!
minski - the theme is brandy for brandyjack since he was MIA yesterday and we missed him. i, however, have chosen to honor him with jack (cheese).
ooo...nice hydra !!!
finally hurshy's icon makes sense to me.
lol
Thanx doxy, can't believe I didn't see that one. Must need a bit more coffee.....Too much party-ing last night.
hurshy, am bashing my brain but still can't get it. Points, as in hedgehog's spikes?
i think mathie should be a word. also i keep wanting turnip to be in this puzzle.
no, no, hydra, i mean think about the fact that it's worth 33 points, and then there are only so many ways to go
just got the am7 hurshy ...thank you
Hmm. You've really got me thinking now, hurshy...
I want trombone to be there...but however many times I look...it isn't !!!
hydra, there was a really good clue back a few pages. Don't remember exactly when, maybe an hour or so
OK. Back again. Found a spirited brandy pic that is not a photo of a singing bimbo. Now to find more words.
WHAT KIND OF SICK PEOPLE PLAY THIS GAME? (Um, I can quit any time!)
also, hydra, you need to start with the h on the right
hj, I noticed you are still here :)
hj, you've found your support group.
90 words to go and I have to return to the Christmas Musician Vortex. Will need help to finish, if I get back in time!
Got it! Thanks, everyone. Am now stuck on the very last ha4/6. Doh!
ha 4/6 ____ cuisine
I am so thick today! Must be that party I was at last night.
I wasn't even at a party, but I can't get the aforementioned ha 6/33. Any other help?
haz, similar to what you put on your head with an extra vowel.
ok, it's just hard to come up with a clue. try this: ha 6 - add, backwards, not "a loss" but...
Tiara? - I'm very posh...
a cap
doxy - what kind of crazyass caps do you wear?
was that any help, haz?
hurshy, used to wear a nurses cap to work
In a small voice, Haz confesses that she thinks she has a different grid to everyone else
ok haz, let me say my clue more slowly. ha6 - what you need to add is the following four letters backwards. not "a loss" (of a tennis game, say) but "* ***"
Hi all -- I keep seeing BOHICA ;D
doxy - what i meant was, i don't get how you can add a vowel to any kind of cap and get ha 6/33
sorry, was thinking of the ha 4. on the phone with someone from work.
Once you spoke slowly, I got it, though typing backwards is hard. Thank you!
Haz - I started at 7am (admittedly, I've had a few breaks) and I've still got 121 words to find... hi GW :)
hi all - dachef had a good clue for the ha6 back about an hour ago (wish i could remember & steal it)...something like: ha** soleo of star wars + myself + noice a baby makes when it cires...
OK: ha** of star wars + myself + noise a baby makes when it cries...
maybe I was at the same party as haz.
Hi sherb :) Temple -- I got it from hurshy but that would have worked just fine!
*the light dawns* hope i didn't offend, doxy. :)
...we were all at that party...
nope. Just thick headed this morning too.
thanks gw - i have been on for an hour but was beginning to think i was invisible...: )
What would you say to a husband who suggests that I should get on with writing Christmas cards instead of doing this?
...ignore him...
tell him that you're learning new words, so as to include them in said christmas cards
haz - i would say to him, "bah, humbug!"
tell him to write them himself!
haz, hand him the pen.
nothing pleasant haz
I'm with ruff, Haz :D
Mine's too busy putting on new tires & changing my oil to bother me about cards, LOL
Temple -- I just got here myself -- trying to lurk, but just can't seem to get the hang of it ;)
GreyWoulf, saw your icon but didna notice it was you!! {{hugs}}
Thank you for your support, people. The cards will be done, but not just now!
whew! I finally monkey-typed that second ab5. Who would believe that's a word.
at least you are doing cards. I don't even do that. We are planning to get tree up today, though
Jera - ((*Hugs*)) - yeah, I'm stealing some time while Kristianna watches Jack's Big Music Show on Nick
We're not putting up a tree this year. But I will do those cards today. :P
well i came on earlier to see if anyone was near the explosion and said a thing or two, then sort of hung out silently babbling...now i am sorry i have to leave : (
bye 72
bye temple :(
I can't do a tree -- apartment is too small and I have cats plus the baby -- But I did put up some icicle lights in the living room and will be putting up some more decorations later :D
Not familiar with that one... who is Jack??
didn't see you then, Temple...sorry...see you again soon :)
Cats just love a live indoor tree... so fun!
hi y,all any clues on the TA 5/18
Jera -- Sorry, on NOGGIN, not NIck, but it's a new show that started a coupla months ago. Its a puppet show about Jack, his dog Mel and hsi friend Mary -- they have all sorts of interesting musical adventures
bye, all! happy babbling! sherb - please stay safe! miya's story was very scary...young as she is it is only an adventure...
any clues for the ih5?
Um -- What explosion earlier? Bye for now, Temple
last one...ab5/18...I have the one that ends in "o"...HELPPPPP
Okay, so I need some advice people... I plan to be traveling across 4 states by train with 2 small people, 9 & 4... how crazy am I? I will be the only adult, it's a 12 hour overnight trip & don't forget I'm handicapped (prolly will take wheelchair)...
ih 5 add a horned animal like a goat
um...what was miya's story?
ab 5/18 add what meditators say
We don't get Noggin, GW, unfortunately...
ta 5/18 add last name of young golf prodigy michelle
that's easy jera - drug them - oops, did i say that out loud?
GW - there was an explosion this morning at an oil terminal north of London...about 2 miles from Miyavi's house...her bedroom door blew off, but she's OK...black smoke now covering the area for miles around...
Oh wow, sherb -- glad to hear she's alright
an oil storage facility blew up and miya was very near the blast, as were others of our babblers across the pond...
Jera - do they have internet connections on those trains?...how about a laptop? :)
Whoo-hoo! I just got 100 words, not cheating (not even Babanon list)!!
thanks hurshy
harry potter book on tape them. that has to be hours of story.
jera - how long is the trip? i remember conductors being very helpful in those circumstances...and it will be a novelty
Jera, I travel by train a lot. (New Orleans and Chicago), plan on taking them to the observation / food car and letting them watch the family friendly movie and play with the other kids.
I could prolly steal my husband's laptop... I'm more nervous about keeping the kids in line...
FINISHED>>>>anyone need a clue???
heck bring a movie and most times the food car person will gladly play it as well...
Jera - if I ever get the recorder wired in properly I intend to tape the various show that I like -- when I do I'll let you know so I can send you a copy if you wish
thanks hurshy...got it finally
Gwyd was a little freaked by Polar Express... I'm telling him it's not a magic train just a plain ole regular one...
again - bye for now and sherb stay safe... see you later
You're so thoughtful, GW... our current new favorite is Johnny and the Sprites... my Sprite says our backyard fairies are much prettier, though...
are you getting a private room or just general access?
thanks Temple...bye, see you again soon :)
mtn... is the train food expensive? Most of the trip will be during bedtime for Gwyd... are the trains safe for kids to walk around in or would I have to be right there the whole time? I'm sure conductor would give Sprite (the 9 year old) a tour...
It's looking like coach, mtn
brb, baby wants to show me something
hey, congrats o'chita!!!! and i just finished too!!!!
congrats hurshy...
me 3. what a relief to be done! anybody need help?
coach is fine, and yes, from my experiences (doing 8 years now about 5 times a year) its fine for kids to walk around. Introduce them to the conductor and they generally will help keep an eye on them.
Temple, it's a 12 hour overnight trip 8pm - 8am -ish, from Virginia to Atlanta GA... it's called The Crescent!
congrats ruff!
odds are that the kids will be excited for an hour, then pass out cold for a large part of the trip.
congrats ouwa, hurshy!
I'm guessing the seats are pretty comfy... do they lay back... like airplane seats?
congrats ruff water
Food prices aren't bad in the observation car, I have found though, that dinner (in the resturant car) on the train to be extremely well done. Check with Amtrak tho, they might upgrade you for free (wheel chair access)
That's what I'm hoping, ruff!! I'd like to get a bit of sleep myself, but it will be hard to relax vigilence!
they lay back, they are wide, and comfy, and there are foot rests on the seats in front of you
Anyone know if mamabear made it home safe Thursday night? Haven't been on since then and I know she was stuck at work due to a major snow storm.
Oooooh... I'm relaxing already, mtn!
I'm headed out - have a good day, all!
most private cars have tv's in them with dish or vcr access.
I'm wondering if reading will be an option... Sprite gets carsick when she reads in the car... how does train motion compare (I've never done anything more than Tweetsie Railroad, LOL)
convience food is open until 10pm and then closes for night, so I would bring along anthing other than water if you think it would be needed. They have purified water on all trains for dispense.
dramamine is a must for people who get car sick. The train rocks (you really only feel it walking down the aisle, seated, its just riding in a car)
Sounds pretty safe & secure... I get nervous being the only responsible adult in unfamiliar places... but my husband can't get away from work until Christmas Eve day & that will be horrible... 12 hours + interstate traffic with 2 kids... no thanks
jera - i got carsick trying to read on a train - not as fast as i would have in a car though
LOL I understand. I have to go from here to South Bend the night of the 23rd, and I am not (NOT) looking forward to that!
Men's curling final is on -- catch ya later.
hi everyone, just dropped by for a quickie. Finished work & don't want to go home yet.

Hi guys....I don`t suppose anyone can give me clues for ta5/16 and ta5/10
ta5/10- spoil
hi lotti :) ta5/16 - add a consonant to a strange ta4/7...ta5/10, there are two of them, but it may be the Italian-sounding word that you want...means 'so much', I think
Thanks Ishult.....but it`s the next ta5/10 :)
Thanks Sherb...one down, one to go!!!!
YAY, no school tomorrow because of rampant noxious fumes XD
sherb- don't have ta4/7 , it's got me stumped. Help?
lshult - alt spelling for something forbidden :)
Miyavi you jammy thing!!!!
Hi Miy!
well at least that's something positive, Miyavi...wonder if I can stay off work, lol
yer, justs spotted it. For got there were three ta's on grid
*big cheesy grin* yayayayay. AND, AND AND AND they're thinking of closing it down for the whole week!!!
Hey Woulf! Did you hear about the explosion?! It was beeeeg Sherb, try it lol!
Awwww.....how sad you must be hun!!!!!! LOL
wish they'd close down work for a week.
i heard it and felt it, miya.
Hey (((Babs)))
Miy - I only heard about it here, Miy -- glad to hear you are fine :)
yeeeee-ha!
Lotti, my heart weeps XD Babs, it blew my door off! I'm 2 miles away, and at 6 am it blew my door off!
Thanks Woulf :) It's so lovely to know that everyone here cares about me enough to be concerned! (((all babblers)))
Hey Anj! Kaboom?
hi Anj yes, miya, i saw your post. i was up at that time, i wondered what my neighbours were doing in my loft.... then i thought they can't get in there!.... then i thought it was thunder and forgot about it. it's been really dark all day... :/
((*Miy*))
Hi Anj :) Sherb....i`m still not getting that ta5/10 :( Any more clues ???
babblers are wonderful, arent they miyavi
how was London, Anj?
Hi everyone. Sherb, Miy, how frightening! I heard that the smoke and fumes are highly toxic. Do be careful.
I just couldn't believe it, though. How far away are you, Babs? It's been twilight all day here :/
Hey All, Miya, Babs : ) Bang! Yes! Heard that...it woke me up and I was asleep in Bracknell. What was it???
Eva, if I got my act together and got a brandy glass as my icon, I'd raise my glass to that! (((Woulf))) You ole love machine, you XD
www.bbc.co.uk........ you won't believe it....... massive explosion in hemel hempstead. people heard it in France and Holland!!
((*Babbler*)) still under a cloud, Babbler?
Anj, it was an oil depot exploding two miles away from my house! My bedroom door went bye-byes across the landing!
lotti - have you got the ta4/7, the one that's an alternative spelling for something forbidden? If so, add a consonant to the end of it - it's a poisonous, combustible liquid...
you can watch newsclips on that bbc site.. lots of video footage. check the weather too..... *shudders*
metaphorically and literally, GW. !
Miyavi what do you mean???? You emptied my glass!!!!
*Anj toddles off to find out what woke him up*
Sherb, I got that one...that is the 16. It`s the 10 i can`t get!!
Lotti, that's just because I like brandy :D
ooh, Babs and lotti - have we all been busy with Paintbox or Photoshop today?
thx sherb. yep, busy in Paint. miya, I live in South London (and with a northerly wind, it's blowing right above me!!)
sorry - ta5/10 - light brown colour, plus preposition :)
i didn't draw the bottle btw, i imported a pic from google and jazzed it up....
Hello all im sorry to hear some of you were affected by todays disaster ,my brother was quite a few miles away and all his windows rattled, one of his neighbours roof came off !!! Any clues please for the th6/21 and the oh4/5 thanks
Babs, that's horrible! I went outside this morning, it still looked like the sun hadn't risen. None of the birds are out!
me too - I think I've got the same glass as lotti...but different treatments...
LOL Sherb, i just find any pics that i think will do!!! If I can finally get this ta, I will have finished.....then I can look for bread for tomorrow :)
What are people advised to do in the aftermath of the explosion? Regarding the smoke and fumes?
i slept all day....... it was dark...... :/
mab - stay indoors
caitlyn - th6/21 - below your chin ;)
stay indoors, close windows, don't breathe until 2010
Thanks sherb couldnt see it for looking
That's awful. No wonder it woke me up. I must admit I thought it might have been an earthquake-type land shift at first but I forgot all about it this morning...
lol Miyavi :D lotti - did you get the ta?
i felt things moving around, which is why i thought my neighbours were in my loft. it was the weirdest sound...
Anj, how far away are you? I'm 2 miles away and it blew my bedroom door off it's hinges :/
Sherb, health and safety warnings are not to be sneered at lol
i saw your post where you said your bed shifted across the room, miya. wow.
Wah, gotta go affix nose bag
Ja, it was freaky :)
Laters :) *waves then bounces off*
Yay......Thanks Sherb i`ve done it!!!! At long flippin last :o) Thats me finished!!!!! Right i`d better be off, dinner to make and bread icon to find! See ya xx
Bye for now, Miy!
hmmmm, me thinks the fumes are making miyavi gabby.
Hurrah, Lotti!!!!!!
Hi guys! :)
I'm back... had to quickly investigate horrible crash from living room... the fort collapsed & a child was pinned under the biggest box... no casualties, though!
((((((Sis)))))) Hi sis, bye sis xx
well done lotti! and bye :) hi lola :)
(((((((lotti))))))))) 'bye sis, hopefully see you tomorrow! lol :D
Babe! ((((xxx)))) : ) Are you getting smole from the Hemel Hempstead big bang?? : /
83 to go & I've run out of steam... gonna go nab the stats now... I'm assuming BabAnon list is up, if not bj then someone??
Oh, it's terrible. Lola, did you feel the explosion?
looking at it now, Jera
Hey babe! ((((xxx)))) :) No. I believe it's all drifting eastward?
Hi mab. No, I think I'm too far north.
...and drifting south...we're covered in a black cloud here in north London...
I'm thankful that more people weren't hurt and no one was killed. If it had happened during office hours it might have been worse :/
Are they still thinking it was an accident? if it had happened during office hours maybe it could have been prevented (more people around to notice early problem?)...
I hadn't thought of that jera. Have to disappear for a bit, back soon :)
: ' (
time for me to go --- be back later to finish with 72 to go (*hugs for all*)
later GW ((hugs)) :)
Aw, not the face babe! I'll be back before you even have time to miss me. xxx
Later GW : ) Babs, sorry, to answer your earlier Q London was great. Only did De Hems, Lamb & Flag and the chinese, plus a swifty at Waterloo while waiting for the train, but it was a great day out : )
Cheers babe : ' )
Merry Part, GW!
Yes, I thought my mate had fallen out of bed. The whole place shook and that was 40 or so miles away to the south west. What happened to Miy??
just got home. Exactly 1/2 way through the grid. Time for some serious babbling!?!
She said something about a nose bag & bounced off, Anj...
glad you had a great time in London, Anj. miya's bed was thrown across the room, her door was blown off its hinges. her post is just a few pages back in teh log.
lol Jera : ) I was thinking about last night : D
Oh, sorry... trying to pay attention & be helpful! :)
Cheers Babs - just read it. No school sticks out a mile lol. How are you??
...nosebag for me too...back later for the last 33...
now there's a question. under a cloud. how are you?
stuck on ar6 any help?
Under a cloud?? Hope it's the Hemel Hempstead one sweetie dahling ; ) I'm not too bad. Decided to skip a gig and stay in to Babble tonight... I'm all partied out
btw, was anybody killed in the explosion?
clear skies in south london now, Anj. except the metaphorical ones over my head.... :/ nice grid today.
ishult, ar6 - used in the imperative to express an order of dismissal
what's wrong, babbler?
what does imperative mean?
don't know, that's just the definition I got.
on a downer, hurshy. thought i'd best mention it so i don't come across as obnoxious and rude.... :/
babs, imperative is the verb tense where you tell someone to do something. like "GO!"
alt clue for ar6 - you can an6 someone with oil, (not a word in the grid today). change the n to an r.
urgent or authoritative Downer huh Babbler?? Can we help?? (((((((Babbler)))))))
poor babbler. but my icon should cheer you up.
if anyone is nice to me, i'll start crying. so don't be nice.
look, babs, i don't drink, so i didn't want a brandy icon, so i did jack (cheese) instead! :)
that's not being nice, it's just being humorous.
*skips back in*
miy - shhh. something's wrong with babs. but she doesn't want us to be nice.
No school hmmm Miy??
Anj, closed until further notice! Love the lovely noxious chemicals. Love the fact that my bed went walkabout. Love the lovely fire. o_O Yes, I do realize how that sounds
Uh, did that post 4 times, or is my pooter on the blink?
any clues for na5/22?
...it's probably got shell shock : / At least I know that I didn't imagine it all as part of a weapons grade hangover...
hmmm, prob there babs, i'm incapable of willful cruelty.
*pats* there there
Hang in there babbler (((x))) Anj, did you get my text babe??
coming up from the Christmas Music Vortex for air,
sorry I was terse the other day, evan :/
...diving back into the vortex again, only one rehearsal and one choir concert to go (for today, that is...)
were you terse babs? i'm getting confused here.
my posts were no longer than one word each. i was very rude.
Have now babe : ) Chin up Babbler...we're here if you need to bend an ear : )
well dearie, if you feel the need to apologize, go for it. but i must say that i'm not real privy to all the proper log etiquett (sp?). i've never thought you rude a day in my life!
:'(........... time for a break. thank you, guys. you're all very kind.
...why isn't hors a word? As in hors's dooovers??
doooovers?
Don't be a stranger Babs : ) Laughter is the best medicine : D
I just don't know why 'cinta' isn't a word! It is so a word! ...or did I dream it?
hors d'oevres??
I tried 'hors' using the identical reasoning, Anj. Poor Babs.
Tu oeuf?
babs - come back before monday please
Miy, did you just ask anj if he's an egg?
...maybe
Hope Babbler feels better!!! Been putting up Xmas decorations and cleaning every break I try to add words, what a strange puzzle---different words. Keep wanting to put in turnip though
Hey Speed! Jingle your nose :)
i thought it was just me with the turnip! and i don't even eat them...
Mab, I'm not great at French :)
Miya Last time I was on you were going to help Mom put up the tree?? How did it go??
Ah, surprisingly well...no injuries. Well, no major injuries. I still think it's a mistake to put the tree up with the lights off, though, just to make a big thing out of it when we switch the fairy lights on. Never want to be that close to a dangerously sharp glittery angel again
here's a third for turnip - posted about that earlier today, actually :)
Hi speed! Haven't seen you for a while, how are you? :)
Hi Lola: Been doing puzzles then getting off, IBS acting up real bad so not feeling well at all...trying to do xmas and babble you know important things in life..LOL
One of the um4s is an Americanism; it's short for the person who decides on the legitimacy of plays. The word has the same ending as the person who bites one's neck and sucks the life blood out of them, and its shortened in the same way as the um word.
In baseball.
speed, husband has ibs - rules our lives
Aw, sorry to hear that speed (((x))), hope it gets better for Christmas.
only 1 left, need help. Second ta5/10. Please?
doxy, sounds like the lone ranger's sidekick? :)
So sorry, Speed. You must rest.
evan: know how he feels..have had numerous surgeries so adhesions also flare up and there is nothing you can do but wait it out..the Dr. says stress is, so relax, when you have severe cramps difficult to relax!!
a million thanks lola!!!
Let's forget about the bad things, jingle our noses :)
i feel for him too - only i feel for me as well when it flares up!
sorry, can't forget about bad things till next week is over.
Have to leave now :( But! I will see you all tomorrow. Good luck! :)
You Are Right Miya!!! Jingle noses!!!
...woot! Just testing : )
Yay! :D
Interesting. I have Crohn's Disease, small intestine. Okay, jingling my nose.
eva: can I ask what next week brings or did I miss something?? I know it is hard on my family also when I have flare ups, nothing they can do
In fact, like MYV says.."seasons greetings amigo, don't try to hard, relax lady!"
next week, or this week now i suppose, hubby goes back into hospital for second round of cancer treatment - long sucky week for both of us.
Oh Eva, I'm sorry :(
Oh, eva, I'm so sorry.
Snap!
thanks mab - i just hope its working
Eva Wrapping you and your husband in hugs and loves and many prayers for a safe and successfull surgery ((((XXX)))
Mab...stealing my thoughts, tu oeuf!
and miyavi...etc
oops sorry meant treatment!!
tx speed, no surgery, just really awful drugs.
We will all jingle noses for you---Right Miya!!!
Oh, yes, hugs and prayers, eva.
it was terrible last time, i wanted to cry a thousand times
RIGHT! :D
sorry...stick in mud
lots of love and luck to your husband, evan. and you too. xxxxxx
;-) - tx babsy
Hay Babs, just sent you some more Madder Rose : )
You mustn't feel that way at all eva. I'm glad you spoke of it so that we can hold you in our thoughts. email anytime you want tikvaeve@msn.com. But don't feel obligated. If we can't support one another, what are we?
Mab, we are unsupportive fiends, that's what :)
Agreed, Miy.
you are all definitely not UNsupportive, quite the opposite.
but i still feel bad when i burden the convo
Eva, don't feel bad! It's sobering but it's life, I guess. And since we all get these problems, maybe if we can all help each other work through it won't be so bad? Okay, I either sound like Oprah or some patronising student counsellor :/
I can understand that, but what I like about this place is that things do move right along -- up, down, sideways. There seems to be room for it all, so don't feel badly -- you are no stick. Off to lavendar bath for me.
the fumes helped oprah infuse your body miyavi
Hi Yall
hiya hilary fan
evanonut - you shouldn't feel bad. babblers are always happy to give support. i was away for a bit and just came back but you have my sympathies too.
tx hursh - won't have to worry bout the cold anyway, will i?
Hi Hil. No, you are just our wise Miy. Back later. Hugs for Speed, eva, Babbler, dears.
Eva, you got it in one, I'll bet :) I'm posseeeeessed
i need posessed. who should i be posessed by?
Clue for the st8/40 anyone?
hydra brings us back to the true object here.
st 8/40 not weak but..., minus last letter, then add the first three letters of a princess's crown
gotta go, see you :)
Got to go, going to the movies to see cronicals of narnia
evanonut, have I missed something? Just got back from dinner and switched on;guess I'd better read the log. Sorry, folks...
no no hydra, your focus is admirable - i can't drag myself from the log
eva, just read back. I'm so sorry for the two of you. I hope everything will be OK and he will be restored to health. I have a friend undergoing radiotherapy at present.
radio therapy, that wasn't fun either - thank you.
sure would like to know what the hw/4 means - could it have landed in there by typo?
I've just Googled it and looked in the dictionary and can't find it at all. Strange... Got to give up now at 170 words as boyfriend feeling neglected. Night, all.
evening hydra
...back for the last 33... Eva - you and your husband have my sympathies
tx sherb. have mentioned yet how lovely your icon is?
and why is BONCE not a word?
thanks Eva :) I've been experimenting with a photo editing programme...amazing...it can turn the most mundane picture into a work of art!
nice...i would enjoy doing that.
HW word .... think of the spanish name for John...sort of a 'sound alike'...I'll try to come up with something better...give me a second or 2.
can anyone please give me a clue for the ha 6/33
kat, we know the hw i believe, it's just the definition that beats us.
Kat, that clue worked for me. Thanks lol.
'just' the A's left to do...this is hard work...
it's a former monetary unit of South Korea, according to onelook dictionaries.
the a's are the worst!
words beginning with vowels are always hard for me to recognize on the boards.
thanks for that encouragement, hursh, lol! :) trish - the really weird words are usually South Korean currencies (just how many can they have?), or Greek temples...
I'm so mad at myself. I just got my first 2 a words lol.
Any clues on an 8/50... Since we are talking about them??? Please
I think the key word is 'former' sherb... they obviously just keep renamin' 'em to make our word puzzles difficult! ;)
Clue for ha6/33 please?
Hello again, my dear landlubbers
...squawk?
Miy, is that you in your icon?
...landlubbers? ...are you at sea?
The Ha 8 is musical
Mab, don't I wish! My icon is a guy, Shinya, out of my favourite band :) He does look more than a touch on the girly side though, so don't worry about it! :) Sherb, nope, not at sea...what gave you that idea? :D
Back again any clues for the an8/50 please
Hi Speed : ) Don't have that oine yet : (
Miy - just wondered why you were calling us landlubbers...
oops, you were after the ha6/33, Mary... sorry, don't got it yet, or the an8... this grid is killing me stone dead.
an8: means having three unequal crystal axes intersecting at oblique angles; "triclinic system". But it sounds more like someone who loves the south. (sprite's clue from this morning)
Bullseye Babbler - got that right off : )
No reason, Sherb...just seemed fitting! :)
ty Babbler!
ha6/33: japanese figurines
ha6 begins like the Stars Wars character Ha** Solo, and ends like a baby crying
Got the Ha6, thanks all.
Thanks, gwenski.
TIP: If you take the time to read the log from the beginning, you find LOTS of clues! (At least when you have time to do that!)
thx Babbler got the 8's now...been at this thing off and on all day...tough to babble w/holidays coming up..so many other things to do
...no, the ha6/33 still eludes me... : /
woo - that a8 is a crazy word ...
drop a vowel in before the big letter, Anj....
ha6 - *** Solo + first person singular + sound a baby makes when crying (credit to earlier clues)
Ha 6/33 The first 3 letters of the thing on the end of your arm, 1st person for yourself, then the noise a baby makes :)
(with help from Dachef :/ )
*bows down to Babbler* Once again, I am not worthy : )
Goofed I do not have the h8 word any clues?
start with the h on the right....
stop making me smile.... y/w Anj
...and thank you too Miya : ) I think I tried every combo but the right one as usual lol
Got the h8 YEA
Welkommen, mein...leiblingsaft
sorry i still cant get the ha 6/33 can someone please help
...oo-err...
can someone please give me aclue for tr 6/21
a hypnotist can put you in a tr6
sha, I have a tr6/21 that is a type of pulsy dance music that might inspire you to say 'Ommmmm' ; )
I'm overcome by the powerful feeling that I just called you my favourite juice :/
That's OK Miy, maybe you meant 'me old fruit' : )
oh boy, overtime is almost done!
Well spank me twice and call me Charlie, that's it I say, that's it!
okay charlie
thanks for the clue for ha 6/33 can anyone give me aclue for ta 5/16 please
ta5/16: poisonous combustible stuff used in nerve gas. Or, add a consonant to ta4/7.
That's the spirit Eva :)
shall we tack angel on it to make it more femine? charlies angel - much nicer ring to it.
Hai, go ahead...I've just been saying that all day, since Miyavi said it in an interview *hangs head* ..."Well spank me twice and call me Charlie-san, it makes sense at last!"
clues for the am7/40 please
i'm going to have to listen to this miyavi guy someday - just to make sure he isn't corrupting your young mind.
Oh no, he's not corrupting me... ...it's Dir en Grey you REALLY ought to worry about :D Put it this way, I can now say "won't you try the soup of sexual desire?" in japanese :/
speed - take the am4/7 and add the ending of Thumbel*** (sorry, it's late, and that's the best I can do!)
lol...you took the words right out of my mouth Miya : )
am7/40: southeast Asian tree also called padauk or padouk. Of course, I'd have never gotten the word with this kind of clue! Use Sherb's instead.
Anj, you know me too well :) ...and it's "seiyoku suupu mo omeshiagare?" if you wanna know :D
i'm sorry, the whole soup of sexual desire thing has completely confuzzled my mind. as i try to sort out if the phrase is genius beyond my comprehension or drug induced reason
Sherb, that hit the spot for me : ) Miya,I could have done with that phrase in Gerrard Street yesterday lol : )
eva - depends on your age, lol ;)
i think it does... overtime done, finally time to hunt words for real!
Anj, should I ask?!
<jaw drop>.......... am5/18.... just found it....
oops, mean ab5/18.....
Miya, it beats asking for Won Ton soup or Tom Yam Gai... I would love to see the look on their faces : )
Eva, I think it's a bit of both :) actually, the whole song is kind of 'like that', for example: seiyoku fesutibaru ga hajimaru ...or, "now the feast of sexual desire will begin" o_O I guess that's why the song is called 'Filth' *tuts* naughty Kyo :D
oh jeez...how about norah jones?
Oh Anj! Why can I imagine you doing that... ...I can teach you a very gruesome menu. I can say, Orange juice with liver, sweet curry with kidney, marinee sour with blood, rotten apples inside my gastric juices and pescatore prepared with pancreas. What'll it be?
Eva, to display my ignorance...who?
miy, you don't know norah jones! Heavens girl
...g'is a clue then Babs : ) Miya, anything as long as it goes with either soy, lemon or ginger ; )
Miyavi -I'm ancient and I've heard of Norah Jones!
...lol, just monkeyed that ab5/18 : )
Would anyone please translate Sprite's clue on an8, please? I don't get it at all.
i'm sure it's not a word, Anj....
*blushing* Sorry everyone...the innocence of youth? Yes, I'll blame it on that... Anj, I recommend the apples for a starter. "kusatta ringo ieki no naka"
A plus opposite of south plus frozen water minus e
innocence of youth?! oooh dear. IGNORANCE, rather.
Thanks Haz.
There are some VERY strange words today.
Hello!
...hai!
Hello, Artlady, nice to see you.
Hello, artlady.
Artlady, where've you been?! Haven't seen you in ages! How are you?
can anyone give me a clue for ma 6/21 please
Hi, hi. I've been reallllyyyy busy and am suffering from Babble withdrawal.
well, then...order it quickly, "ringo to ichigo ga kusaru mae ni". If you want it without the gastric juices, then all you have to do is ask :)
ma6/21: plural of ma5/12. Big house on an estate
Cheers Miya...I shall bear that in mind next time i'm drooling over the menu ; )
strange culinary discussion here...
hi artlady
oh, do...there's a lot of hidden culinary expertise when it comes to Kyo :)
Hi Ren. Well, all, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...Nice amount of snow, lights on the houses, quite festive!
Artlady, it's all about ordering suspect dishes in japanese, in a Chinese restaurant : ) I need to know how to order squidgy fishy fibrillating tendrils with yellow bits...aka crab & sweetcorn soup : )
miya - we have a lot of thai and vietnamese food courts here - fotunate for me that i have a friend who was militar translator - otherwise - i would probably order the phone number
Anj, are you trying to confuse them? I prefer my food sans gastric juices (other than my own)...
artlady - i was tellin harp that some people down the road have even decorated the old washing machine thats been sitting outside for ages
Ren, nothing wrong with a good healthy phone number :) Lots of fibre, great for clearing up the system
Ren, there's something kind of sweet about that.
trying? no. Succeeding, eminently : ) Nothing like a few Belgian beers to lubricate the powers of communication : D
Oh my Ren. None of that here...of course, where I used to live in Wisconsin they hung lights on the deer hanging in the trees during hunting season...
mad - how about the cars w/ the flashing lights and there are some motor cycles that are decorated - flashing lights - and a car near my folks that is an old pinto theme car w/ red santa's all over it.....
Belgian beer...haven't tried those. Hubby buys awful cheap Bud. I like beer with personality.
*big cheesy grin* my new icon shouldn't amuse me as much as it does, I think
sorry mab - i meant mab - not mad - there's a bridzilla marathon on - it's like watching a lizard -
Hey all, did you know Dr. God wrote about Babble land in Treehouse? (it's an online web developer's mag, I think)
We are famous!
I'm ready for my close up...*pouts*
Miyavi, new icon? It looks familiar...or am I seeing things that aren't there again...
I like the idea of decorating a motorcycle with lights, but I'll pass on the Pinto with santas. In the carribean they hang lights on anything that looks like it's not going to move.
Wait. Deer in trees?
Hi again -- that was quite a game! -- down to a measure on the last end -- we have Gushue for the men and Kleibrink for the women going to the Olympics.
uh, if you see two guys then that's my new one :D Kaoru and Die :)
mab - you are so right - you don't sit on the beach to long -or you get decorated - i'll try to catch a picture of the santa car and how you - it is really strange....has a big santa hat on top molded from ???? who knows
i think it msut be the beer - huh artlady?
Does anyone have the ih?
Ah, Miyavi, I had to do a refresh. Now I'm seeing double...
ih + male sheep w/ horns
I appreciate just about any attempt at creativity.
Definite double, double guitarists :D
mab, it's a Wisconsin thing during deer hunting season. In the old days (when it was really cold the week of Thanksgiving, which is hunting season) people would hang the deer in the tree to freeze before taking it to the meat lockers. Lovely sight!
anj, did you find the other ab5/18?
Thank you renfield.
y/w nan
Awwww...I've just spent the past time talking about how weird Kyo's lyrics can be, then I find this: "kaze ni naru kamikaze wa yami no naka e kiete saikai no yoru ni saku hotaru no hikari" which means: "become the wind, the divine wind and into the darkness disappear bloom in the evening of our reunion the glow of the firefly"
A clue for the last ma 6/21 (between arithmetic and rugs), please?
can anyone please give me the clues for pr 6/21 ha 6/33 and the last ha 4/6
Oh I see, Artlady. I know there are ducks that live in trees, but deer.... The lights are sort of light-hearted spoof on death and destruction. (kidding. I'm not anti-hunting really, not when other people are doing it).
pr 6/21 - rhymes with the Lone Ranger's friend.
It means 'straight away'.
The Lone Ranger had friends? I thought he was, you know...Lone.
ruthy - ha 4/6: french high
Babbler, not yet...just about to : )
No, he had a horse and a faithful companion To***
ooookay :)
ha 6/33: ha 4/5 minus last letter + you, first person + sound a crying baby makes
want a clue, Anj? (just showing off here....)
You've missed so much, Miyavi.
Haz, what do you mean?
Cyber - you have a maid of honor and a ma**** of honor
Sure Babs. I have the ab5/18 that sounds like it should explode : )
hw4 word is really funny....
...a horse called Silver, as in 'Hi Ho Silver, and away...'
monkey those same last 3 letters for the other ab5....
duh -- thanks Kristin --just didn't see it!
and to***'s horse was?
I mean that being the age you are, you've missed out on the golden age of television with programmes like 'The Lone Ranger', 'Bonanza', 'The Virginian' - and I'm not even into cowboys much...
babbler I am finding todays grid has the most strangest spelling words!!
that other ab5 is the one that made my jaw drop....
Silver!
Cheers babs - straaaaange word : /
ren - you've got me beat there, I'm ashamed to admit... :D
sherb - was it scout???
Silver!!!
*sherb heads off to Google to complete an important piece of research into 1950's television...*
i have the old radio programs on mp3 and they mention the horses
ren - Scout it was, indeed :)
what a team!
Silver?
if only there was money to be made in it, lol :D
..and of course I was watching it in the 70's, not the 50's...
do they have a trivial pursuit for mo***?
?! and once again, ?!?!?!?
Thank goodness for reruns. I would love listening to radio shows.
sherb - i thought you were watching it on the satelite western cahnnel 8)
Silver was the name of the Lone Ranger's horse, as heard in his cry of 'Hi,yo Silver away!' as he began yet another daring rescue/adventure.
Well the As are now bagged & tagged : )
riiiight...*raises eyebrows* er...give me anime or give me death :/
Congrats, Anjypops!
those were abysmal a's right anj?
...usually followed by Tonto's comment: 'What do you mean, 'we', paleface?'
...and no, I have no idea where that came from either
wsn't there a song caled my boy lollipop
...Anjypops?! Ren, they are not nice As...never are : /
Yes, sung by Milly.
The Lone Ranger wore that silly black mask over his eyes. What was the deal with that? Anonimity? Please.
sleep mask?
Ah, sorry...I have a friend called Andypops, things like these slip out :) Captain Andypops Brain Crackerjack, to give him his, uh, full title...
well Superman didn't even wear a mask, and no-one recognised him!, lol
thanks haz - it's cute song they play it on sirius 50's ^ 60's channel
hi ren, do you have a very EASY clue for ha 6/33, my brain died a few hours ago
And now the song is replaying in my head. Miyavi would love the lyrics..
scatty - don't but babbler does
My boy lollipop He makes my heart go giddy-up....
What are they, Haz? Anything about the soup of sexual desire? lol
Zorro does the mask thing, also.
Not quite as eloquent, Miy.
i think she said the theing on the end of you arm - the last consonent + 3rd vowel +the sound a baby makes
Ah no, it was a song from a more innocent time. 'My boy lollipop you make my heart go giddyup you set the world on fire you are my one desire my boy lollipop etc
Batman does the bondage thing...
He did! I love the pft pft pft thing with the sword.
Mab, Kyo can be far from eloquent :) But he does the mask thing also. What is it with *manly men* and masks? And yes, I count Kyo as manly. Don't laugh.
ha6/33: first three letters what's at the end of your arm, drop last letter; then first person; then sound babies make.
the song makes you smile
Pooor Robin.
Anj, I'm noticing a definite similarity here between Batman and Diru's Die :/
What about "Brand New Key" then....? Which version is preferable, the original by Melanie Safka, or the comedy version by 70's British west country novelty act, the Wurzels (retitled "Combine Harvester")...
Last 4 and stuck on all... na 5/22 nu 6/30 oh 4/5 st 6/21
I was never as much a fan of the Lone Ranger as of Hopalong Cassidy...good guys DO wear black!
every superhero has to have a downtrodden sidekick, to make him look good...
why wasn't robin in robin's egg blue?
I think Robin liked it...
anj, may i have a clue for ab5/16 pls?
...Hong Kong Phooey had a smarter cat...
black is my fav - my family gives me money to buy something other than black clothes - i think the color should be in the shoes
I can imagine a song like that making me smile though. Sometimes morbidity and gross-out can get old... oh, who am I kidding. Love the lovely macabre
Babs, use your 2nd ab5/18 - take out the huh and put an aaah on the end : )
i'm jacula's downtrodden sidekick - 8)
I am nobody's sidekick, but I am the minion of one of my sister's friends, Eb. Yes...I am the minion of Eb...
...i've just remembered a terrible batman joke...
I like color in glasses, too...
babbler could i have a clue for ha 6/33 please
yes, Anj??
Poor Miyavi, a lowly minion...
Go ahead, go ahead!
nu 6/30, please?
and that completes my As... thx Anj... ypops..... scatty, I already did.... scroll down just a little
...Or I shall call you Anjypops until you are old and grey. Ah, screw it, I'm gonna do that anyway
I can't, it's a bit fruity for the log : /
Artlady, it has it's perks, minionhood. Sometimes he lets me feed off the fresh blood of his victims, for example
*clinging onto Anjypops's (soooorry) legs* nothing is too fruity for the log! I won't tell if everyone else won't...
nu 6 = nu 4/6 (without feeling) + anj ***man joke
Anj, you'll have to get creative...
...good clue Ren : )
great clue, ren -- thanks
...stay free my misery... yes, izuko and go go go!
thanks 8)
scatty -- did you get the ha 6?
Creative huh? OK, does every recall the poem Who Killed Cock Robin?
st 6/21 ? (last one)
I don't, but I can guess where this is going so I'll smile and nod
...good Miya...I can skip the joke then : )
cheer babbler, thats the kind of clue i like
*clings to legs again* HEY! NOOO! this is just getting interesting!
This is a pool of creativity here...
im stuck on my last four can anyone please help pr 6/21 ma 6/21 ha 6/33 and the last ha 4/6 thanks
And the last word is....... st 6/21 ? (last one)
Where does the Lone Ranger take his refuse??
ruthy pr6/21 what you say when you pick up the phone in Italy
ta da dump ta da dump ta da dump dump dump!!
pr 6/21: immediately -- rhymes with Lone Ranger's sidekick.
You have to imagine the tune along with it...
yay!
I don't know, Anj, where does the Lone Ranger take his refuse?
imagining -
ma6/21: bride's married attendant. --- of honor.
lol!
Cybernan....st 6/21 The attitude or position of a standing person or animal, especially the position assumed by an athlete preparatory to action.
Sherb, I just did it...
ma 6/21 -- not maid of honour, but ______ of honour (she's married)
clues pls ne1 ma5/12 ra4/5 ha6/33
ha 6/33 - scroll down -- lots of clues out ha 4/5 - french for high
oooh! ma 6/21
for those on the right hand side of the Pond, imagine Kenneth Williams in Carry on Nurse to get the ma6/21 : D
st6/21 - ends with a short name for mother...
Oooooh dear. It's late and I've started crying over Hide's untimely death again, it seems I will have to excuse myself :) Good luck and good bye
ma4/5
'nite Miya : )
nite Miyavi...no school tomorrow :D
ma 6/21....The gentlemen had wonderful manners as they lorded over their ma6/21
Thank you Sherb -- that gave it to me! Finished!!!!!!
and I too am heading off to bed...work in the morning...bye all :)
"nite, miyavi. No school for you? There is for me!
Congrats, cybernan!
'Night Miy.
bye sherb - bye miya
Night Sherb. Brava cybernan!!!!!
way to go nan
'nite Sherb : ) Artlady, a fuel depot exploded in Hemel Hempstead last night over here. The explosion was heard 100 miles away : / There's a pall of toxic smoke over north London and the east at the mo. Could be more than just Miya's school shut down tomorrow for H&S reasons...
woot! 'Nan : )
...in fact that could be a Wootenanny : )
Thanks, Anj. I did read about it, but didn't know how close it was to any of you.
oops! -- spoke too soon ---- forgot the oh 4! Help please -- have monkey typed all around it and still missed it!
It woke me up - and I mean it was LOUD - and I was over 45 miles away : /
I'm in South London.... everything shook. I didn't know what it was... : /
oh - there is a state in the us as well as a river call oh** drop the last vowel and add the 1st vowel
Nite, Sherb
thank you, renfield ------- now, I really am done!
congrats, cyber!
ok nan!
still lookin 4 clues pls ma5/12 ra4/5 ha6/33
Babbler, it probably destroyed the winner of the Turner Prize in the Tate lol : ) Probably straightened a few of the paintings too... : D
ma 5/12 -- head nurse in the UK
now THAT raised a smile, Anj.... (hate the Turner prize!)
are you guys required to stay inside? any evacs?
Happy 1, there are 3 ma5/12s...can you narrow it down??
Who won the Turner? I vaguely remember something....
The Turner Prize? Is this an art-related thing? (she perks up her ears..)
1 after head nurse
Ren, north London and the east are affected...I think folks are just being told to stay inside and shut windows unless they want a nasty cough...
ra 4/5 - think of anger (it rhymes with 5 letter word for anger)
no evacs (that I'm aware of). haven't watched the news yet. plan to later. it's probably worse up near Miya. General advice is to stay indoors. don't know who won the Turner Prize.... don't care either, it's all a pile of kak.... (imho)
artlady - yes, it's art related. if you look at the website for the Tate Gallery, you should see lots of info.
tell what you think of the entries, artlady. i'd be interested to know.
cheers cybernan...probs with screen freeze thot i had that 1
Never mind, I looked it up. Not familiar with the art scene over there.
ma 5/12 -- large house ( lord of the ma***) ma5/12 -- large salt water fish ( ma*** ray) ma 5/12 -- supermarkets (plural of ma 4/5)
ok - on the we network is the 70's fashion "I can't believe i wore that"
art scene is a bit desperate at the minute, artlady. not much talent around.... no one's catching my eye anyway.
Gee, a watercolor of a cactus on a bike...
I'm off to Christmas greenery arrangements for either side of our front door -- see you at the flip. Thanks for all the help, everyone.
you looking at the turner prize entries, artlady? I read about them in the papers...... daft aren't they?
Gordon's gin sponsors it? Do you suppose they drink a lot of gin before selecting the winner?
...it was won by a wooden thing entitled ShedBoatShed by a guy called Simon Starling. It sounds exactly as it looks and that's meant to be conceptual art?
shedboatshed...... what a name.... ! : )
Anj -- that even made the front section page of our newspapers -- I think they'd had more than a few glasses of gin before choosing the winner!
enjoy nan - be artistic!
Looks like the Tate likes installations. Two of the top 3 were installation artists. Then there's the black paintings by the third.
Time to run to the grocery store. Later!
Bye ArtLady -- bye all :)
You're not wrong there Cyber... It's like Tracy Emine's bed thing. I just don't get it... I struggle with Damien Hirst as well : /
pls help! ma5/12 middle 1 i think ha6/33
me too, Anj. They're revered, but I can't see why.
artlady - will you shop for me as well?
Happy 1, have you got the Ray? Like a chnat without the R : )
ye just need ha6/33 now thnx
Babs, they are revered to a certain, influential set and that's the problem. It's just art for art's sake...
Happy 1, Mr Solo from Star Wars, plus the letter you see through, then what sounds like a baby crying : )
agreed, Anj. and isn't it funny it's always the Hoxton Set who seem to decide these things.....?. grrr.... not loving that lot at all.... :/
bab... what is a Hoxton Set?
Babs, I just don't like being told what is art. I grew up in Plymouth so I've been exposed to Robert Lenkiewicz all my life and although his themes are a little disturbing at times, he was still a bl**dy good artist.
Hoxton Square is a square towards the east end of London, but it's still fairly central. It's run down, cheap and very popular with artists and arty type people. (not so cheap nowadays, but still some hovels to be found). They think they're IT, and stand opposed to Notting Hillbillies, who also think they're IT.....
hoorah!! *dances round room relieved 2 b finished at last* thnx anj :)
I'll look him up, Anj.... I'm rubbish at names, but I do have a good visual memory,so I may have seen his work.
y/w Happy 1 - well done : )
does anyone think it odd that my mother in law just super glued a swarovski crystal to her nose?
happy gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
Evanonut...that's an interesting mental picture. Could be looking at the next Turner prizewinner there : )
u do it with such style likety
evan... it's the "thing" to do these days... I think Paris Hiton did that last week
i'm sure it's fine going off, i'm just thinking the coming off might be a bit painful.
Just looked. Simon Starling and his bicycle in the desert, plus watercolors.
thanks happy!
did she use gorilla glue? tuff stuff
im callin it a nite early start 2morow...cya all real soon
loctite jewelers glue actually
Gorilla glue?? What would you need to glue to a gorilla?
ok - locktite - was it red?
i don't know lickety - what you want to glue to a gorilla?
container was blue and white, glue was clear. i'm under the impression is was strong since i use it to affix gems.
I've glue things to my face, ie a glittering binte, but only with water-based glue.
hmm, suppose i should not worry, it's not my face after all.
i gkued some latex to my nose to cover up the pierced hole
Well, eva, as long as she has a good reason.
i'd call it a good reason, for the fun of it, only tuesday she'll want it gone, and she won't want a mark either.
evan - have her put some zinc oxide it then cover w/ pan cake makeup to cover up any mark
hail to all back to find the last of my 70 words...
thanks ren, i'll tell her that as soon as she realizes her mistake.
Hi Blaze.
hi blaze
Hi Blaze : )
B-L-A-Z-E
hello back to all..... this was such a fun grid last night ...now it is getting tougher...hmmm what was with the crystal to the nose thing ???
blaze ... someone creating art on there face I think
wonder what it will look like when the sun hits it....
sorry blaze, my mother in law in a moment of non reason, thought it would be fun to super glue something to her nose.
Could set her hair on fire.
like - crystal blue persuasion
should be brilliant, its swarovski after all.
I have seen the temporary jewels for the nose or where ever. to look like fake peircings....
Anj, I've never seen this guy's work. It is disturbing. I like the crowd one on the first page of his website. I like the blues, greens and turquoises. And I like how busy it is.
reality interlude is needed... will be back.... keep an eye out for human rainbow.....
babbler, who is this - show me
ok - time to do my grocery shopping for the week - well not me - i have to drive mez to the store since he no longer drives - i get to wander around the store and sing to the music 8) c ya'll later
Anj mentioned a UK artist, Robert Lenkiewicz, just a little further down the log, if you want to scroll down, Evan...
Babs, he always used locals. Just about all his pics are Barbican people. He even used to do murals but his pics are always dark...black backrounds and all that. His self portraits are challenging as well
flippin' eck.... I've been to the Barbican. I was there when it opened!! I've seen that mural he did!! Can't recall it now as it's been over a decade since I last went....
Eva, he was a London born artist who moved to Plymouth. His pics change hands for silly money now as he died a few years back...
love it!
am I misreading what I'm reading..... that is the Barbican in London????
i like dark work.
Babs, that's the Barbican in Plymouth btw...where his studio was...and still is as far as I know.
thx Anj.... didn't know that..... thought I was going barmy.. :/
some of his work is confronting... death, handicap... but incredible artist all the same
none of it is flippant, or 'trying' to be anything other than it is. that's what I like. No arty-farty-ness....
do you know what I heard recently? if you go to art school today, the last thing you will learn is how to paint... if at all. how amazing is that?????
hey babs, i'd classify myself as arty farty.
ooops.... best not talk to me then. (heh heh)
i like the challenge of taking something completely mundane and neglected, and turning it into "WOW"
for example, my paper clips which were recently on display in new castle.
Nothing wrong with that Evano. I like sculptures that do that sort of thing : )
everyone expects paint to be art, but who would expect a life sized cat made of paper clips?
Hey Babs, maybe we should have an art icon day. Pick on a particulat style or artists...or even use paintbox to create our own : )
that's not what I call arty-farty, evan. that's what I call creative. when I say arty-farty, I mean pretentious, full of hot-air and waffle and investing more than there actually is into something than really is nothing more than you see. (off the top of my head... I'm sure I could come up with a better definition)
great idea, Anj. I've been thinking along those lines. I was thinking Self-Portrait day, if everyone is up to it?
still not getting it babs, what is arty farty again ;-)
gerraway with you, Evan. don't think you'll get me smiling this easily....
i dunno, sure looks like a smile to me 8D
evan, do you remember the guy who was married to Cicciolina, the italian porn star and MP? He made a dog the size of a house, and covered it in flowers? That made me laugh. Oh - Jeff Coons!! He was funny.
Jeff Koons, even.....
I've been looking at Simon Starling. I'd like to see his lithographs. His installations are not especially striking. I am suspicious when an artist says he is primarily interested in process -- it's selfish somehow and doesn't translate to the viewer of the completed thing.
Talking of art, I like the stuff that customisers do with cars/bikes etc. Some of the pieces OCC and Boyd churn out are great : )
Anj... pimp my ride!
I love vehicle art. I love go-faster stripes! (smiling now). There's a word for this type of art, what is it?
hmmm babs, i'm not real familiar with porn stars
Bab... I think the 'pimp my ride UK' version is hysterical... the guy is so funny
Lickety, that's sorta tongue-in-cheek for me. But it's better than Pimp My Ride UK which defies description. I would vent my bile but I keep choking on the words and end up sounding like Kif from Futurama lol
Cicciolina became very famous. From porn to italian parliament, or whatever they call it. During the 90s. She's still around. She was on one of our reality shows this year. Good looking woman.
i'll take your word for it babs, i don't think i have much choice really.
I haven't seen Pimp My Ride...... I'll take a look next time it's on...
bab... brace yourself!!
anyone got um4/7? I'm bored looking for it....
never mind......... stupid word......
yeah babs, the um4/7's get that a lot
um4 is short for the person who decides on plays in baseball. the full word has the same ending as the bat/person who sucks blood.
Anj, have you finished?
kids won't go to school! Have to go shopping and don't want to drag them around with me!!
drug them - oops said that aloud again, good thing i don't have any kids.
Babs, finished a while back : ) Currently trying to wipe a vision of Tim Westwood out of my mind : /
well done. I still have 49 left. Stopping for something to eat now. back shortly....
I have 75 words left. I'm sure they are almost all words that start with vowels lol.
Hey - Dutchoven - you there?
Darn, I go off to the store and you start talking about art!
any hints on the am7/40?
Hi une -- take the am4/7 and add a dancer ending (baller***)
thanks, GW!
yw
Artlady, you missed a good discussion : ) Have you heard of Robert Lenkiewicz then??
I thought bonce was a word....?
Torgone. LOL! I just typed that in!
THe bits I saw looked interesting. No, I haven't.
Hi everyone. Been out all day. Typing the words I found on paper in now.
If I had a dollar for every variant on 'I thought "*****" was a word' or 'why doesn't it accept "****" ' my Xmas shopping expenses would be covered :D
norn is a word too!
Hi guys
Is today an alcohol icon day??
Hi Torgone, Jacula : ) Artlady, he's not among us anymore, but he was a very good painter. Google him and check out his site...
see what I mean! ;D Hi hilaryfan!
(*Jac*) not alcohol -- brandy in honor of brandyjack
I just got back from the movies
Of course, I also tried typing in Hanoi, Iona, NATO, Utah, Ohio, U-boat, Rambo, Noah and ra**hat, even though I KNEW the grid wouldn't accept them...
Anything good showing, hilfan?
yea! I saw The Cronicals of Narnia The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
hilaryfan -- I'm hoping to see that tomorrow -- what did you think?
Anj, RO's work is very interesting.
It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooo good
hilaryfan, is it close to the book?
Cool -- now I am looking forward to it even more!
Some of the creatures look really freaky though. it's sort of funny
may I have clues for the am7 and st8. Hi everyone!
see greywoulf's post at 6:38 for am7
peri - clue for am7 at 6:38
Hello everyone..sorry to interrupt the interesting chat but am looking for help/clues here..please?? ma6/21 (second one) mo5/12 (not the currency one) ha6/33 ta5/16
We went to see 'Flight Plan' last night. It was quite good.
helen, do you have the death one?
the mo5, that is
Good to hear, Jac -- wish I had the money to see more than one pic a month
Une..yes I do
i liked it too, jacula
do you have the water around the castle?
ok forgot to plural that one
Une and Greywoulf, thanks. didn't have the am4 so had to find that one first. never heard of either word
peri -neither had I -- I actually saw the clue earlier today and ran with it :)
any hints on the an8?
still need help with the st8 and also an8
I don't have any of the 8's yet
how many words does everyone have, i have 38
st8 is "An earth of a white color resembling lime in appearance, and baryta in many of its properties"
i've got everything but the an8 . . . .
GreyWoulf, for the ha8 = think mouth organ or agreeing
an8 an +...... a direction without the first letter, and sort of sounds like what you need if you have feet problems

I'll pay a dollar for an ha8 clue . .
torgone, LOL!!!!
ha6/33 - take the first three letters of the 'ha' you have at the end of each arm, then add a vowel that sounds like what you see through, then go briefly to Western Australia. Hope that helps!

Bab, Jac, Frances - Your dollars are in the mail. Thank you!!
Hey Babs, how could you orchestrate an art discussion while I was at the store???
Anj - The Scream could be most Babblers' icons when they sign in and see a 400+ grid.:-)
very clever clue Jac..thankyou
well, I think you kind of started it, wondering what the Turner Prize was, and then we ran with it.....
I must be hungry cos I am still not seeing the an8
torgone you're welcome. Off to bed now as it is nearly 1.30am. Nite all
ta5/16 stumped on this one to finish.

helenary ta5/16 ta plus something to put your hamburger in

Thank you GW and France...Is it all over at 186??

Babbler ta4/5 ta plus abbr 60 mins
Lol Jac, I'm not sure I could handle a logful of Screams, classic art or no : ) We would have to change the theme hourly or go quietly insane I think : D
a ban or prohibition ta
does any one have another clue for ha8
thx frances, gottit
Babbler You're welcome
peri - I saw that and the other clues and the old brain is just not processing them effectively
what is the end count please?
186 is the total for today, helen -- sorry missed you before
Babbler, an art day would be fun. Could we do it on a weekend? I don't have much time to play during the week right now and I'd like to "be here."
helenary 186/2222
sure thing, artlady. you pick the day and the theme : )
Thank you GW. I asked because there seemed to be a discrepancy arount the early ta's from the BJ list and what I came up with. Anyway alls well that ends well. Finito. How are yoy?
anyone have a clue for the bo6
Thanks Frances
not too bad -- twisted something in my back last night - but muscle relaxants and time off from work are helping
Babbler- do you have clues that an 11 year old would understand for ha8?
peri, hog plus a cuppa, plural : )
Greetings, all...stuck on the wi4/8... help, please?

periwinkle bo6 bo plus plural of the main chat topic tonight
Anj, thanks, took me a while to decipher your clue but found the bo6

hilfan -- for ha8 -- think of the actor from Freaky Friday from 2 years ago -- Mark Ha****then add an ic to the end
an8- an + (some people who are crippled wear ****oped** shoes) the letters that are *'s
hilary - you know the mouth organ that lots of kids get to play music on? do you know the other name for it? drop the last letter of that name.... if you don't know it - the first part of the word is your ha4/6, + opp of off + ic
beebee - I could kiss you! (*HUG*) Thanks!
gw- yw
helen, that didn't help me...
Oh brother... I've been haunting the wrong W... got it, thanks... please pass the fish!

may I have a clue for the un5
un+opposite of woman
helan - re: bad back -- if I had the money to spare I would see the doctor to confirm the suspected herniated disc I may have -- and then I would consider an accupuncturist
peri.. un + not a woman
helenary, found the un5 right before I saw your clue, thanks
GW...I understand you back predicament and wish you did not have to be uncomfortable!!
thanks beebee
helen - at least it is only uncomfortable, but not immobilising in intensity :)
Does anyone know of a better word finder than A2Z ? It seems to lack alot of words.
yup that is good..ok..must go and thanks for the help
So long, helenary -- see you soon :)
Right, i'm off to pay Morpheus my respects before he puts out an APB on my conscious thoughts... Night all, have fun - back tomorrow : D

artlady, did you see my reply a few posts back? (scroll down a little)
Lol, Jac
Back in a bit -- time to put the baby to bed and clean up the maelstrom that is the living room

aknitter, think wild African animal with horns on the nose...
rh- is cute, but mean- i see them at the zoo
lickety, great fireworks!!
oh my God, are you kidding me?? I deserved to be trampled by that RH***
The rh's powdered horn is, unfortunately, believed by some to be an aphrodisiac.
thanks art!
Lickety - Thanks for the fireworks.:-)
17 to go, i'm getting slower by the minute
my last 3- can anyone help? please and thank you TA-6/24 TA-5/18 TR-5/14 (2nd one)
I'm back! aknitter -- that's how I felt when the rh was in the grid the other day :D

WELL DONE BABBLER.

babbler gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
More fireworks, lickety, for Babbler!
ta5/18 - sounds a bit like a brown owl but ends in an abbreviated 'for instance'.
thanks, guys. cor, those fireworks are cool!
Speaking of owls - Hiya Temple.:-)
Hi Temple -- how's tricks?
that was a timely entrance! yea babs!
*~*~!~!~!~*~W*~*o*~*W~*!~!~!~* ~*
Hi TempleOwl ....8 to go...
back from the store -
thx jac!!!! hey temple and ren
Hiya Renfield. Artlady - need any help?
I am feeling really dense right now -- have only found 4 more bringing me to 22 to go And the worst part is that 4 letter words are eluding me!
hey hey!
Ren, my little jaunt to the grocery store cost me almost $100, with very little to purchase. Sigh.
Just finishing up the last 4 w's, Jac. Thanks
Hi again
Did you bring me some candy?
Hey Jacula- what does you picture say?
i've got candy, cookies, ice cream , popcicles- even stopped at taco bell
hi artlady, babs, beebee, h*jane, hilaryfan, jacs, licketysplit, renny, torgone, woulfie
Hilary - It says 'HOW MANY WORDS??'
Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk was on sale at my store...bought 2!
Hi Owl!
hey renny - got to watch that shopping - i sustained a shopping injury to my finger today - making it extremely diificult to type!
All finished!
any clues for a except for am4/6-=related to a guitar
I've just eaten a leg of Southern fried chicken. I might have another. I feel very hungry all of a sudden. Had dinner out and early (as in at lunchtime) today. I'm now trying to remember if my other half wanted me to wake him up for work at 2.45am or 3.45am. Um... don't want to do him out of an hour's sleep if I get it wrong, or make him an hour late if I get it wrong the other way.:-/
hi, uhm.. im just wondering how many words are there in this puzzle?
yay art lady!
WELL DONE ARTLADY.
i'm comng over to your house artlady - t-owl - how did you hurt your finger?
congrats artlady!
all finished, you just beat me artlady, well done
artlady gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
Ok, Ren. You can have one carton, I'll have the other. I still have a third in the freezer...any takers!
Temple - A shopping injury? I'm intrigued.
way to go artlady - now - can we have that ny fudge b&j????
congrats scatty!
WELL DONE SCATTY.
ok scatty - do you want some of artlady's ice cream?
Thanks, scatty, you too! Thank you lickety! Awesome fireworks! (Gee, I sound like my students)
i picked up a set of car mats and something on the hanger punctured my finger...it was pretty gross - could not believe how much blood - yuck!
Sillycow - 186 words today.
jacula, if i wake my hubby up early by mistake he thinks he in for a promise
Not pleasant, Temple! The dangers of shopping...
Scatty - ROFLOL.
blood? did you bandage it?
thank you Jacula
So, Jacula, which will it be? Early for the promise...?
Blood? Oh! Hold me back, Renfield. LOL.
ARTLADY!8-O
t-owl - you can't say the b word around the mistress of the dark!
Congratulaions, brave finishers!!
artlady, did you decide what day and what art theme you'd like?
Hey, don't blame me! Scatty started it!
*looks sheepish* oh....
(again, just like my students..."she did it!")
how come i got the blame , you forgot what time to wake him up or have you forgotten for a reason, snigger snigger
Hi again Babbler. Gee, I didn't realize the awesome responsibility I was accepting. How about ... artists who won't win the Turner? (No, too esoteric)
AFter all, I just learned about it myself...
Ren, you got a little too excited about the blood bit.
Babbler, Saturday would be great. It's the first day of my 2+ week Christmas break.
I'll celebrate by Babbling...although I do that anyway (just with a small b)
not be - really - i'm just here to prtect the mistress - it's dark - there's bl*** - and well - you know the story - pardon me boy - is this the transalvation station?
who's your favourite artist, artlady? do you have a particular favourite?
Still thinking on the theme...
ok, I'll save Saturday for you. Let me know in the week?
I'm back. I did pick the right time. No time for 'promises' though! LOL.
Babbler, I like so many it's hard to narrow it down. How about everyone just does their own favorite artist? Maybe I'll do a Stuart Davis thing. I'm teaching about him to my 3rd graders this week...even videotaping the lesson.
Pet Shop Boys are good artists (video medium)
Well, Jac, either "aw shucks" or "whew!" depending on your mood...
Bit of luck, Jac!
I've just decided to use Anj's idea for Tuesday, which is kind of similar to that but broader.... I thought you might like something specific?
missing an ab5/18 (have the unit of resistance) and the ab5/16
What is Anj's idea?
same last three letters, GW, just different order, for the ab5/18 artlady - I put it in my biog/handbag
ab5/16: ab + hoop + mother
Thx, Bab (*hug*)
I'll wait a while then. Too much overlap. I didn't realize Anj was an artist/connisseur as well. I'm going to have to SPEAK to him! (jk)
connoisseur...can't stand making spelling errors
Artlady - We really must ask Dr_God to provide an edit/delete button on this chat log.
I'm back from the Christmas Music Vortex! Don't have to play anywhere now for almost 20 full hours!
hey ha** - you missed me saying a word today!!!!
help with the 1st ha5/14 please?
ren-oh well. never fear. someone will say one sometime!
ha 5 = sounds like to take a ch**** - like on a lotto ticket
Thanks ren -- should have seen that one :\
may i have a clue for the st 8 please?
yes ha** - but you always catch us - you're the word monitor
Well, if I'd just check before I posted, it would be fine. BTW, Dr. God wrote about Babbleland in a web design magazine. Mentioned Brandyjack and the entire community and how it's evolved since inception.
ren, it's a niche world. That's my niche.
soooo... what happens if you accidentally message a puzzle word??
st 8 = opposite of weak - last consonent + the ch** pet - ch + t
help with the nu6?
ha** yells at you w/ giant megaphone - and everyone hears her 8)
Or MamaBear goes "nanana you said a word!"
nu 6 = nu 4/8 (without feeling) + ***man (caped crusader)
thx, ren -- thought I tried that
yes -where is mama bear?
nu6..take the first syllable (how my fingers feel after typing a big puzzle) and add a preposition dealing with place at the end...
And then everyone tries to figure out what the word is!
so you get a spanking.... ooooooohh!
mama said she was very busy this week with various projects, ren -- if I remember right she has a concert to prepare for this coming weekend
thanks ren but it's not working for me : (
Ok, off for now...Good night everyone and happy babbling!
G'Nite artlady!
sorry t-owl - i forgot to say drop the last letter off of nu**

I'm missing two words, dang it....the ha 6/33 and the ta 5/16 (the T in the lower left corner)....any clues from you successful Babblers????
Yes -- finally done!!
GREAT WOLFIE!!!!!
i need the st 8, thanks i have the nu word...
Temple - Have you got the 'nu' clue yet? If not, think what my friend Drac's wings would be if he'd sat on his hands for too long before turning into a creature of the night to fly.
st = opposite of weak minus the last consonent then add the cross consonent + 3rd & 1st vowels
WELL DONE WOLFIE.
jacula - that's good!
Ren - Only just read your mail. Benn out all day and then frantically 'Babbling'.
Yay! I get fresh baked Xmas cookies!

greywolfe gets *~*~*~FIREWORKS!~*~*~*
ha6/33 - take the first three letters of the 'ha' you have at the end of each arm, then add a vowel that sounds like what you see through, then go briefly to Western Australia.
babbler had a good clue for ha 6/33 = what's at the end of your arm - the consonent + 3rd vowel + sound a baby makes when they cry
ma 6/21? I have the one that runs a women's prison.
GREAT CLUE - Jac Attack!!
ha 6/21 = plural of ma 5/12 big fancy house

TY Renfield and Jacula, perfect clues.....
big fancy house it is. Thank you!
Sorry for the caps..
Thanks for the fireworks, lickety :) Just so people know, I have opened a yahoo account specifically so babble friends can contact me -- I have updated my profile to reflect this. The juno account is too restrictive - it only allows 2 meg of storage for free
Suel - 2nd ab5.18 - The centimeter-gram-second electromagnetic unit of resistance, equal to one billionth of an ohm. 1st ab5/18 - change the last 3 letters of the word clued just above around a bit.
ab + 3 letter work like amp meter on *** meter the nchange the same last 3 letters
oh and BTW, just shecking through my emails -- mamabears concert was tonight! :)
oops, Checking :\
Evening/morning/afternoon everyone!! My laptop seems to be working tonight.
that's nice wolfie - all of the schools and churches around us are having specials
hey shro - long time no see!!!!!
Hi Schroeder! (*hug*) I was thinking of you today as I was dancig around the house with my daughter :)
Hi Schroeder. Wolfie - Do you have MSN Messenger?
Jac -- I don't have any sort of messenger -- I've never had anyone I needed to chat with while online before :)
Just listening to Lyn Skyn's 'Sweet Home Alabama' in my headphones now. O/H just gone off to work.
what the heck type of word is ab5/18!! Only an engineer can come up with that one!
Wolfie. Okay. I only asked because the y'hoo accounts work on MSN Messenger.
suel - did you get the abs?
Lickety - LOL.
Oh GW, how fun for you!! *hug* Ren you haven't been dancing without me have you...
Jac - I'll look into it then :)
No iI didn't. I must have taken a dumb pill today because I just can't get these two words.
Okay Wolfie.

I'm back
no shro - i've had happy feet - but no dancing

Suel - let's try another way with the first ab... A Big Old Mama Holds Out.
Hang on! Forget the 'Old' in that.
Zubie!! I've got some great pics for you from the snow I got -- including a pic of Kristianna with her first ever snowman! Now I just need to figure out what's up with my printer and I can send them to you :D
Renfield - Didn't know what?
Suel - for the 2nd 'ab' just c&p my definition and Google it.
na 5/22 = na + cotton s*** (like a q-tip) (sounds like sob)
Woohoo GW! :D Thanks! Hey, have you finished? I left off at 116 yesterday and didn't intend to return. :D I'm back though.
about msn messanger
To hold out is to abstain and that is not there.
finished a short while ago, zubie Lickety gave me fireworks and everything :D
Renfield - hotmail a/c's work there and I think y/hoo ones do, too.
na 5/22? I'm dying out here folks!
Yayyy! Fireworks! Do you think I could hide in the shadows and pretend that I've finished too, GW? ;D
na5/22 - another word for an nab**. A governor in India under the Mogul Empire.
zubie - you've got 2 hours to get 70 words... why not finish for real?
Got 'Eve of Destruction' Barry McGuire in my headphones now.
na 5/22 = na + cotton s*** (q-tip) sounds like mob)
Deep Purple's 'Smoke on the Water' now - one of the two songs banned in guitar shops. LOL. (The other is Led Zep's 'Stairway to Heaven'.)
omg jacula - i was just singing that one! no music playing here
renfield and jacula thank you for your help but i think i am now so sleepy i am brain dead. good night and thank you>
suel - did you ever get the abs?
Spooky, Rennie! Joe Walsh and 'Rocky Mountain Way' will be up next.
I learned to play Stairway to Heaven on the ha** because people are always asking me to play it! Sounds like elevator music. (But I've heard WORSE elevator music!) Thanks for the na clue.
GW - :P :P :D Ok. [Grumble grumble] I will, since this and the next grid will probably be my last for a while. I'm on 120 now.
no, I just can't think any more.
Jac - just looking at the yahoo site right now -- yahoo messenger and MSN messenger will be able to interconnect by sometime next year-- they are hoping for by June :)
Harp - my ex-hubby used to do a fantastic version of Stairway on guitar.
ok - a re you sure you don't want to try?
no i need 19 more and i just can't think.
Wolfie - well, you pick whichever one suits you best. No reason why you can't have both unless you're pushed for space. Of course, IE also has it's own 'Messenger' as standard. I can also talk on that.
zubie -- how long a while? and why? (if it's not too personal)
thank you any way.
hey guys. i just started this puzzle. busy weekend. any hints for the 8 letter words?
tu 5/14 and tu6/24? 45 words to go. Will I finish?
Suel - go back and look at the last lot of 'ab' clues I gave you again. I'm sur you'll get them. The first is an acrostic and the 2nd you can Google.
ok - suel ab + My Help Over ab + Oh Help Me
Did you notice how "ankle-y* this grid is, GW? :D
tu5/14 & 6/24 - bodily growths you would NOT want to have.
speaking of which, have you been maintaining your hydration levels, zubie?
Renfield - Great clues!
tu 5/14 - cancer tu*** or barin tu*** - then plural
Remember the holiday, GW? That's why. :D The ankle gets to rest finally ;) The rest probably in an e-note to your address. :D
Gotcha, zubie (*Hug*)
that's brain tu***
Got them very clever renfield. lol
No, GW. [hangs head] Yesterday I had a whopping cold and was wondering why I was sooooooo thirsty. That was in the evening and then I realised I'd not drunk a drop of water all day. :o And I remembered you, Blaze and Babbler at that moment and rushed off to drink water. :D
Harp - the 'tu's' are spelled the US not the UK way.
lol, zubie -- sorry to hear you've been ill
Zubie, you must stay hydrated! *Jac pushes her water filter jug over to Zubie.*
thanks jac "jac used a wooooord, jac used a wooord...)
This house has been full of cold-ridden folks for a fortnight now. Son's still using tissues hand over fist, daughter's got an unshiftable, wracking cough and sort of stepdaughter is a one girl 'snot factory'!:-(
Do any of you like rock music? My 25 year old son sings in a rock band. He can play almost any instrament you put in front of him I can play the radio>

Harp - oh my goodness! So I did (use a word). ROFLOL.
you can't raise a caine back up when he's 6 feet deep
He plays alot of hard rock too. I guess it's my age but i can just take alittle of it at a time. I like rock but hard rock is tough on my ears.
Thanks, Jacula! :D *Eyes water filter*
Suel - am playing Don McLean's 'American Pie' now, about the death of Buddy Holly. That's soothing and sing along, surely?
or is it you can't raise a caine back up when he's in defeat?
Zubie - no good you eyeing th water filter! The 'word' - It's one of the musical instruments in the grid that Jane was referring to! LOL.
Jacula That's a good song you have good taste in music.

ha 4 is a dangerous pit viper, the second part of the word is( little --- peep
Good. Now would someone please put me out of my misery with a clue for ta 4/6 and 5/18?

Scarlet --- to find out info about the grid, click on the Babblers Anonymous link in the Friends of Babble box to the right, then click on the General Topic, and then the Daily Stats Topic -- There you will find a breakdown of how many words total in the grid broken down by starting letter and quantity, and further down by 1st two letters, word length and point score

Ren -- it's a witchy thing ;D
lol Renfield.
I'm still not getting the ta 5/18? Is anyone up to the challenge? I'm exhausted but only have a few words to go..... (I can quit any time!)
oh 8O - can you explain?
ren did you get the t word its at the top of the grid
ta5/18 - t + exclamation of cuteness + 3rd vowel + 2nd vowel
ta + What In 'Ell
scatty - i've got all the words - i'm just hanging around so i don't have to think about work....8)
ren third letter is 23rd in the alphabet
Good boy, ren! I'll give you a "get out of the corner free" card. Seven words to go, all b's I think. Then I get to collapse.
ren then two vowels
sorry thought you were still stuck on the t
thanks ha** - i'll take my get out of timeout free card!
ren - wicca centers around goddess worship as represented by the moon - so many of the rituals involve the moon in some respect -- hence the dancing into the moonlight ;)
i'm always stuck on something scatty - you guys are all the pros - i just read what you all publish! 8)
i couldn't sleep so i thought i'd see what everyone was up to
Venus is very bright tonight. No where near the moon though. Mars is near the moon tonight. three words to go!
wolfie - i understand - i once read a book about planting herbs according to the moon - the hebrew calendar is based on moon cycles - learned 2 things today 8)
scatty -- this is one of the best places to be when you can't sleep -- I have spent many an hour just chatting whether I have finished the grid or not :D
missing mamabear, its quiet without the extra chatter
Done. (Face plant into the keyboard....) Goodnight!
we all miss mama b
Thank you for all the words!
way to go ha** -
Scatty - Mama has been busy with year end projects at work and preparing for her concert at church today so has not had the time to Babble :(

lacula has been on the phone for ages, when i went to bed the phone was in use, it must be red HOT by now
Thanks for the clarification, ren, though, you still looked great! ;)
Jac, are you in the UK? How's the "situation" over there? Is the air clearing up? I understand the fires will have to burn themselves out over the course of a few days. What a miracle nobody was killed.
Scatty - you only went to bed for an hour or less?? Other half will wave to you as he drives by.
Scatty - he's 35 miles from you now.
Harpjane - if you check back through the log , you'll see that Miyavi_fan had her bedroom door blown off by the explosion --- apparently she lives only 2 miles away
179
harpjane the smoke made it to oxford, so it must be bad round the airports, i know they cancelled alot of flights today
Hello again again
What happened where?
Yes, I was on this morning when Mya was telling us about the explosion. What a horror!
where's he off to then My daughter decided to visit me today after six weeks away and been burried under a duvet all day with the flu, what a nice present to bring home with her

wow wolfie - that is love! give her a hug from all of us - then pass the cookies
how do you change your log in name
yayyyyyyyy! 186 words 4.68 2222

Hey! I just realized, I used a word in the log...off to the corner with me.
Sugar cookies! Yayy! [I wanted to nab the plate too!]
harpjane -- get out of there, punishment this late after the fact is meaningless ;)
hilaryfan 1 i changed my name when i first started, i didn;t like the other one so i just logged in as a new player
um, jane, you're using a word every time you post.
ROFL, zubie!!
I have two login names... sometimes I am lickety... other times... well... I will keep you all guessing!!
Thanks! I am going to log in as Narnia, so that will be my name ok- later
hmm apparently the "split" stands for personality :)
does any body have the ha 6/33. Its my last word, and I'm tired
*Hunting for the word jane used in the log, just because I've nothing else to do and can't steal the plate* :D
ok hil - ummm - i mean narnia
there is no way to finish this puzzle guess i'll just hang out
scatty - Other half is right by you now. He's hoping you'll give him a cup of tea and a bacon sarnie!
That did not work it only asked e-mail and password
CJ, I gave up about 5 hours ago!!
it wouldn't let me sent a messege then why
pida, it's weird, so here's the best i can do: ha + two-letter abbreviation for nitrogen + abbreviation for the state of washington
ha 6/33 = thing at the end of you arm - last consonent + 3rd vowel + sound a baby makes when crying
well i guess i should start earlier, and then i won't give up so easy
lickety aleast you made it 5 hours
ran out of bacon sorry but the tea is here if he wants one
zubie - (if you really need the plate you can have it...it's not an heirloom or anything) ;D
