FLIP! HOW'D YOU DO ZUBIE?
Good Evening, All
HEY NAN!
Did you make it, Zubie. PUFF, PUFF, PANT, PANT.
All our favourite letters, I see........ (except the q)
Hi. Thanks for the help everyone. Finished on 93 I think.
e7/40
I can't believe that every vowel is in this one!! First for me I thinketh?
Hello, all. How's it going?
Hi MrPres. Harp., Cybernan, Debs. Sorry, I'm knackered after running a marathon with Zubie. Wolfie did really well in it, but he's had to go off to deal with some toxic baby waste right now.
good evening all, 143...doable, I hope...
Norad... looks like a sissy 4 letter grid!! GGRRRR!
I don't know mrp, these kind sneak up on me and make me think...yikes...
143 total words 4-letter words: 0 92 X 5-letter words: 0 38 X 6-letter words: 0 10 X 7-letter words: 0 3
Morning dear gang :)
Norad... I spend all my time with my head buried in a2z with the 4 letter grids!! Just a big treasure hunt!
hello!!
Sprite!
morning sprite, is that your formal wear bow tie?
sprite your icon has gone formal since I've seen you last.
Yup, it was, from yesterday's theme ;) Refresh and it will be gone. Krys10, hi! Good to see you. And Norad, and mrP :)
Can I just say the 'drey' IS the proper word for a squirrel's nest here in UK!?
I guess it could be said the fun is in the hunt...then again...it could make us nuts...
Hi Jac... yes you can, but it won't convince babble OR the enable dictionary :D
no "sundry" - so sad
if you don't 'untag' something... how do you take the tag off!?
smelly words in the grid today....
R6/27
I was miffed that I couldn't re-angle my lamp yesterday!
S6/24 back atcha
I wanted to have 'retangler' for someone who undid my hair again :(
Hiya Sprite, et al.
Lol Krys10 :D
t6/39
*big big hug for Woulf!* Hi dear Woulf, how are you doing? AND the family?
Well, Sprite, all the disallowed 're' and 'er' ending words are most annoying in all grids.
hail and hello...... jumping right into the dance of babble Jac... my infamous music memory friend... do you recall by chance who(m) sang the song "rock on" or blue jean queen ?? your assistance would be by appreciated to settle a family dispute.... thank you
WHY do I keep seeing 'laundry' when it isn't in the grid but IS in my house??? GRRRRRR!
We are all doing well, sprite -- though I just got finished with one of the most toxic diapers I have ever handled -- and he isn't even 2 weeks old yet! ;D
S6/21
r 7/40
grey... I love the black sticky ones that you can't clean off unless you use agent orange!!!
Just found a du4/6 that is an inch thick in my house! LOL. Wolfie - toxic, tarry nappies (what you lot Over The Pond call 'diapers') are par for the course.
I am really proud of him, Woulf ;) As should you... after the vapours have gone, of course. How is Kristen?
she is recovering well from the surgery, though not as quickly as she would like :)
Jac, that is because you can D4, but you cannot Red6. It isn't our fault! If
spoken like a true mother...
Nifty O6/21
Blaze -- thanks to you, I have that song in my head!!! And I never remember artists so now it is driving me nuts too! :D
So Kirsten needs your help to keep some patience with her recovery, Woulf ;) She'll be fine in no time. Jac, what I was typing before I got interrupted by some spontaneous posting: if we can D4 only once, we cannot help it if the house gets filthy, right?
tried redu***, Sprite. Didn't work though. Damn those blasted re's!
I don't even know the song you're talking about but it's gotten Bell Bottom Blues stuck in my head! Vicarious sympathy to you. :)
Oh my... so sorry wolfie... I can relate it has been rattleing in mine for two days... and trying to down load it... and arguing with the house mates who is the singer... we are daft for sure...(passes champers to clear head)
I wanted to use relenter yesterday and the grid said no way. I mean if I relent why can't I be the relenter?
dalmatian!!
tee hee i was trying to follow the DU conversation but I was using the wrong DU - very funny but makes a lot more sense your way!!
Blaze, does this help? http://lirama.net/song.p lp/20198/20198
Lol Krys1... if you mean the D4 I am looking at now, I don't want that kneedeep in my house! Not even a little bit ;)
I guess you've all already found the mushrooms and puffballs at fu5/22?
darn computer locked up as I was posting--- I know, sprite -- that's why all the midnight feedings have been mine and will be til I start the new job on Monday :)
Jac, those are part of the smelly theme!
I am a total, flipping drongo without BJ stats!
A6/30
Who needs stats this early in the hunt? Let words surprise you, LOL.
This one isn't turning out to be as easy as all those 4 letter words made it sound.
I had all the music mistakes I made yesterday in church, going around in my head. We call them brain worms. I finally got rid of them with a rousing chorus of Zipadee Doo Dah. Works every time.
Sprite thanks I got david essex from that info.... it may just be the answer for all...
Blaze, did you check the link? After removing the spaces of course?
Sorry, posted the same sec you did :) Glad it helped!
I never go for the stats until I've roamed around the grid at least 3 times doing steam of consciousness stuff.
(for those of you jonesing for stats) so far: A6/30 O6/21 R6/27 S6/21 S6/24 T6/39 E7/40 R7/40
or even stReam of consciousness stuff.
that is just one more reason I love coming here....Thanks again... I bookmarked it for later too...
32 minutes and the longest word I have is 6 letters...
Got to be away for a little while, help the kids get started. Back later, happy hunting to you all! *Extra hug for Woulf and family* Nice to see you again!
same here sprite!! (*HUG*)
speaking of music, a classical cellist just showed up on Jay Leno? Yoyo perhaps? I can't tell, my reception is terrible but the sound is great!
harpjane, I don't have tv, but I wonder if its Matt Heimevitz (sp), since he's just had a cd out that is somewhat unusual -- I think it might be called Hungarian Goulash?
56 words and I'm off.... Nite, All!
G7/52
mab, it was Yo-yo Ma and John Williams.
I ike the sound of that name Yo Yo Ma.....it makes me smile
Morning Babblers.....choosing todays icon reminded me that there have been other times in my life when I lived in front of a screen......not good!!
nite chic!
Blaze did you get an answer to your music question.....I thought it was David Essex
t bear.... what does that mean... I am getting sleepy and a little slow
51 words here and I'm feeling pretty peed off with the last words someone here in the house said to me... However, I will remain positive...
Yes.... Sprites.... website was a wondeer thank you
98 words to find, off to sleep! later.
Blaze...used to play Sonic much too much
Ack! I can't believe droid and droids aren't being accepted! And Sith is valid! I guess the power really is on the Dark Side, Luke...
tbear.... got it... I can relate... not sonic but similar....
Jac, you know my answer to that crap......
I've heard of their collaberation, harpjane. I like John Williams's film work, and of course I have an enormous crush on Yo Yo. I have the soundtrack of Shindler's List. Yitzhak Perlman plays on it..
Jac... I keep seeing your laundry too.... and now widow.... I am very daft tonight...
Blaze - see 'tush', which isn't there either. But make it a tough tush!
Are you guys all hallucinating.......Time to quit!!!
tis the eyes of babble playing tricks on us all... LOL
Which is now I'm seeing Joey (from Friends) in the grid when there is no 'j'! Hey! How YOU doin'? LOL.
hmmm the image of Matt LeBlanc will keep me going for a while longer.... ROFLOL
Next best thing to The Fonz! LOL.
No "ersatz" either *sigh* I'm going to clean up in the office and head home - back in an hour or so!
I am taking my tired eyes to bed now..... see you tomorrow
Goodnight Blaze..
G'nite Blaze (*Hug*)
a 6/21
Playing an old Scott McKenzie song for Krys now: 'Let's go to San Francisco.... flowers in their hair...etc.' Failing that, Frankie Ole Blue Eyes? 'I left my heart in San Francisco, high on a hilll...'
I'm being serenaded! How sweet :)
Back! Well... stealing time here, but the kids are packing now and will be on their way to school in 10 minutes. I will kiss and hug them then, but until then... the hunt goes on! I am finding this a very nasty grid.
That g7 is eluding me!
S'a pleasure K. Any song you want, just ask!
sprite....seems a bit nasty...doesn't it
I'm having fun with this one - have conquered the upper right hand corner of the board, must look for Nan's A6 when I finish cleaning up the office and driving home!
The G7 kind of rhymes with the T6.
The nasty ones are always the most fun, lol. Must be something SM in me.
K & Sprite - you are sadists! LOL.
No no! we keep playing - we must be masochists.
I'd say we were on the masochistic end of the spectrum :)
S&M then?:-) LOL.
Ha! - got it!
TY, Krys. The s 6 you are looking for is a pural.
I'm glad you've got it, Cybernan. I haven't yet, though!
Ack! Thanks Nan - can't believe I missed that when I had the A4 and A5!
Vacuuming! I must vacuum! Love you all - later!
Bye Krys10!
Jacula - think overdone decor
Bye Krys
Just wondering why anyone 'must' vacuum! Who for? Why? Sorry! Must be my age. LOL.
"All we are is D4 in the wind..."
I keep seeing custard where there isn't any, and I don't mean in my fridge :D
Oh well, thanks, GW, for giving me yet another non-word to obstruct me!
f5/22 is a fun one
I think we should get extra points for every almost-there-word and every associative find.
Since I'm always doing laundry, I keep seeing 'dryer'.
My washing machine crashed for the 2nd time in one week. :(
That c word should really not be allowed
Sprite - indeed we should! Please have words with Dr_God.
I am afraid Jamie doesn't listen to me :(
tbear- thanksfopr the cu word. Hadn't noticed it until you pointed it out!
horrid isn't it!!
While 'clit' isn't allowed... goes to figure. Babble is male.
while we're on the nether regions a4....
Thanks! Didn't see that one. Bowel... errr... vowel words are always harder for me.
Thing is, the dictionaries on here do not mention the fact that it is an old germanic term, kunta. Once was an accepted phrase, and one that what not derogatory, as it now is..
Sprite so you've found your uncles wife??
Well, yes, but I just cannot find the 2nd E-word from the upper left E. I am a little over halfway and already am using the stats panel, this is BAD!
Only have e4/6 from that corner Sprite
I've got the newts. Argh!
Sprite - ou are the No.1 Babbler. You can't say that!
tbear: mine is E4/7! Together we have them both then.
You mean you don't do the words without clues, BJ, the stats panel?
Jac, I claim the right to be stupid, blonde, thick and very dumb every day!
tbear & sprite - they both have the same start and end
Jac: I start without, then, when I get really stuck, which is today halfway, but usually a little later (LOL), I use the stats panel. And clues and hints in the log I use as soon as they appear :)
sprite.......whadda team.... :)
Thanks Woulf, will look. I want 'ents' but babble doesn't like Tolkien.
Thx New Daddy......
Sprite....can you C it now
yw tbear
Yeah! Newts and coins, got them now! Thanks Woulf, for the rescue attempt for my sanity :D
Wolfie - what are you doing back here? YOu should be sleeping. There again, I do reallly HATE IT when people who don't really know me tell me when I should be asleep or awake...
I always jump at the chance to clue you, sprite! ;D
LOL Woulf! I am far more often clueless than you think! :)
r4 communists
That being the case, Sprite, how did you get to be No. 1 Babbler?
The prob, Jac, is that Seb is not sleeping -- his lethal nappie seems to have overstimulated him -- he is resting over my heart now, but is not out... and will most likely be hungry again fairly soon
Pure coincidence, Jac. Woulf... what a sweet image does that paint in my mind! Babbling with Sebastian on your heart... creating a new addict so very early in life! You are a great dad.
Eh? Remove a tag from something... that should be valid, right?
Wolfie - do you have a webcam and mic?
no sprite....don't think so...nice try tho
Jac -- I wish I did -- would make sharing so much easier :) He finally dropped off so I put him in the bassinet here in the living room with me -- I expect him to be up in about an hour wanting his next meal :)
Oh heck! We're not off on the old 're' search again, are we? Have no botheration for that right now. fu4/13 it for now.
Darn! It won't take cudzu! Isn't that the plant that grows uncontrollably in the southern US?
Right....not even half way....it's outrageous. Back later...happy babbling folks :)
Nope... we were on the 'un' search. But close.
Bye tbear, hi broll :)
Hi all.
Sorry....CAN'T believe re + d5 is a proper word.....lol ciao
so long tbear Hi broll -- it's spelled with a K (*hugs*)
Well, finally got all 3 7s. 'Bout time, I guess. One I should have found much earlier. The other is... well... a bit new for me.
rats. That would have been 28 pts.
If there is a un word there is only one -- the other u word does not begin with un.
Neither of them is 'un'. I do have some "re"s though.
un4: without help minus the last letter
LOL, you are right. It is 'un' but not in the meaning of "not".
Finally got the last e on the bottom. It's a stupidhead word. e4/8
Once you have falllen out of love with someone, why can you not unad5/12 them?
Morning all - how many words today please?
Got the r's locked down. Still missing one 6, but have 115 words now, so I'm heading for my pillow. See you tomorrow. :)
143 words, Mari.
Bye nan! Broll, that stupidhead word we know in alt. spellings. This one IS strange.
77 here with only 2 6's and 1 7 :)
Thanks Jacula
Still need 9 more, but finally got the biggies. Even the G5/14 that is also a biggie.
Can't pass that one up Sprite ( stopped for e stupidhead)... Which 6 am I missing?: a, o, r, sx2, t
A6 x 2
cybernan - when Jack planted the runaway beanstalk, who did he find atop it?
R6 x3
plus F6. That's 10, right?
It's the f 6 that I'm missing (had 2 a's)
Charcoal stick or drawing made with that. Start with making a problem, loose last letter, then connect with a holy person and loose last letter again.
hello back again. Thanks for all the hints while I was vacuuming :)
Welcome back, Krys! That was a smart move, vacuuming :)
gotta go -- screen is blurring Night all!! (*Hugs*)
Thanks for the clue, Sprite -- can't come up with the holy person (too tired!)
*Hugs for Woulf and Seb* Sleep well, both of you!
Nite, GW -- I'm right behind you.
You probably have that person already. S5/10.
I did and thank you ... have all the 6's and 7's now and can go to bed smiling :)
Night nan and gw
Sweet dreams, nan!
I am done... and running off too. Any more clues needed before I take my leave of this wonderful company?
the saint is an 'st'? But screen's blurring for me, also. Time I flew!
no silly it's an SA :)
Go fly and don't put words in the log! :)
jac said a wooord!
Bad bad Jac!
'night Sprite! Good to run into you as always.
She did she did!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The U's are completely eluding me - are they UNs?
Night Sprite. Thanks for clues.
Same here, Krys10! Have a great day/night/whatever applies to you :)
Us: both are 4/5, none of them uses 'un' as in 'not', though one starts with it.
Ooh! Glad I came back to find tht. Thanks for telling me, folks, Must go now! The sun's coming up and you know what that does to us undead folks!:-)
thx sprite :)
Night jac.
Thank the Lord I sewed in thick curtain liners....xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sprite, before you go, I have been struggling with a6/30. Clue, please?
A6/30: helping, then change 2nd vowel. Good luck hunting!
G'night Jacula! Thanks for the songs.
thx
Good morning Mari - I thought you were kidding when you said the first thing you did in the morning was switch on Playbabble
Another clue for the A6/30: the act of hearing speech (linguistics/perception term, I think)
got it. thx.
Norma, none of us is kidding when we say that, lol. Really gone now, thanks for the fun, dear gang!
Norma - if you have the camera on you can see I am showered dressed and looking my best!!!!!!!!!!
Is the new hair do the same as Saturday night ?????
Thanks Krys. Got the a/30 now.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz onnnnnnnnnnnnkkkkkkkkkk.
A few more spikes!
Must go now and get some work done - will play later
Hello Peeps how many words today
143 words
Thanks Haz
You're welcome.
Its very quiet today
Hi All - how is the hunting going?
Hi Dianne busy looking for words
Same here - chipping away :)
Whats the weather like in Hong Kong?
The weather is really nice now. 15 - 18 cel in the am and up to 18 - 20 in the mid day. We haven't had much of a winter at all.
Does anyone have all three 7 letter words? I only have ga7/52.
We badly need rain here we are going into drought conditions in Sussex and Kent It has been quite cold but norain
Dianne, re 7 40 repeating something er 7 40 happens to shores any clue for the ga 7? Thanks
I wasn't ignoring you earlier Jacula, I was sleeping.
mad - that's for the clues - I'll start hunting. For the Ga think really tarted up.
ga7: cheap or pretentious display
Hi everyone, thanks for the ga7 clue, Hydra. It also gave me the ga4 & 5 that I hadn't spotted.
the er7 still eludes me despite Mad's clue?
weather conditions cause it I'm sure the ga 7 is staring me in the face but I'm not seeing it!!
ish, what wind and water are doing to the shoreline (and what this grid is doing to my brain ;) mad, ga+ last vowel+ sounds like where cows are milked
lshutt - think of somethin wearing away. Same ending as the Re7.
got it, it was the obvious ending that was hiding from me!!
Still 53 words to go, but at least all the 7's are done!!
I kept trying to use the ion before i realised that the 'ION' wasn't even there.
I had the same problem - and when I first looked at the grid I said that that would be a good ending for any biggies - DUH, then I forgot about it.
brandyjack, thanks again for stats :)
You're welcome. Sorry they were late today, but had to get a nap in before driving my daughter off to waterloo and buffalo toady.
appreciated at any time of day brandyjack - doing grid without them is like trapeze act without safety net :)
hello everyone.....reading log....would like to add my thanks too....keep trying to do it with BJ's help....but not suceeded yet !!!!
that should read,,,,'withOUT BJ's help'.....ooops
Is there really and truly another word from that top e aside from the newt babies?
Thanks brandyjack I also try without the stats Thanks again
Eva.....think of a currency
Eva - old French coin ...
Thanks Karys! That was really bugging me.
And Chessy(-:
yw eva :)
morning all
morning spellit
morning spellit :)
morning spellit
morning spellit
why won't it accept where a squirrel lives ?
I've asked that question many times!!
never has yet Karys, tho' I try every time :/
it's very silly sometimes !!!
I wonder if its spelt differently in American?
with an 'a' perhaps ?
I think it does accept dray - but isnt that a type of cart?
it is for us....but perhaps it's both for them
Now you are talking ! A dray is a beer wagon...
don't forget we have to have about a dozen spelling for the same word !!!!
now fancy you knowing that ...and so quickly too spellit !
Drat - my secret is out
another hobby of yours then spellit....apart from babble ?
I kepp seeing 'wizardry'.....which I know isn't there
I have too many hobbies - so my wife tells me..
just a few extra hours in each day would work out fine
Good day everyone : ) Can anyone help me with my second ts5 please? I have the hebrew letter.
Hi Sis Just change the last vowel to another one.
Hi sis! ....and thanks. Believe it or not I tried it with the other possible vowel but not the one I should have! lol :D
LOL such is the way in babble land.
Hmmm, I think it is also a reflection on how my head feels today! I have to dash now, my car was playing up this morning so want to leave early to fetch my small person incase I have more hassles with it. See you all later : )
TTFN
All done now - back later
hi guys-well, as the only american conversing right now (feel like I'm representing my country at the Olympics), I have never heard the word drey before...dray yes, as the cart, but not drey as a nest. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, but not as normal vocabulary.
mornin babblers!!
we got it at school eva....you know those lessons where 'lions live in a den, rabbits live in a warren' etc..etc..I think the things you learn when you are small stay the longest !!!
Hello eva and everyone 8) You're not alone any more, eva.
hello both :)
Hey Karys ;}
I am down to 37 words and now stuck...havn't looked at lists yet !!
You're down to 37 and I'm up to 39.
LOL :D
You' ve gotta love this game! I can't find the 2nd word on the list...ominous beginnings. Be careful everyone ...I think he's reading our lips 8)
29 and I havent looked at lists yet, either - but I'm getting tempted!
me too....but you've given me a little more hope Atalante !!
every word is needing to be squeezed out painfully from the grid now!
except when I find the absolutely obvious !!!
that gets SO annoying!!
makes me wonder whether I'm getting braindead !
70 words to go, and a single 6-letter is the longest ive found so far...not looking good! gonna go get breakfast. :)
lunch for me....see you later :)
oatmeal with cinnamon + raisins (and spenda for sweetening!) and 2 sausage patties....and a little mountain dew livewire for energy....hehe
Breakfast of champions, evanadine! Morning, all!
DONE....anyone need a clue?
Well done Ouwachita you can just give me the answers if you like lol : )
adsman...here is a clue...all of the words are found "IN" the grid...lol
Damn that's where i'm going wrong ; )

Sorry Atalante looking for that one myself.. Hi Jera

It wont take TUDOR!

or DREY
143 words total today
fu6/30 fu + sounds like the opposite of crazy
fu + sa4/4
thank you jera, may as well give up now, stuck on 54
hi sis, i keep seeing custard too!! I'm on 108 and stuck now
Don't give up, the day is long! You have 15 hours left before this puzzle expires!
Hi, everybody!!!! I'm not a big fan of modern day computer/ video games, so I've decided to go old-school with my icon......
I may well give up, 15 hours is an awful long time in babbleland. Hi sis, you can't have much work to do if you have got 108, where's the rhubarb crumble to go with the non-existant custard?
movieman - I'm pretty old-school too!! Hi everyone!!
hello mummy, don't give up, you can do it
I thought about using a Tetris pattern, movieman! That's all I play besides chess & Babble...
this one calls for another bottle of red! hebzy
i had all the crumble for pudding the other night mummy !!!
Of course most any movie could have an accompanying video game...
just the one mummy ? !!!
i have actually been quite busy today sis........with work i mean!
mummy neats has been playing babble all day !!!
yeh, pull the other one it's got bells on. enfta, tufa - all the things I find look like charitable organisations.. help!!

Horribly stuck on the ed's... help, please?
greetings, all!
Halloo, hurshy!
Hi, hursh..... So that's your favourite Babble tile then.....
Jera have you got the re6/27 if so take off the r. Thats the only one I have
well, you have to admit, Qu is quite a character!
Thanks, Adsman, that led me to both! Breakthrough!
Howdy everyone! Can't babble till this afternoon, but wanted to pop on and see how everyone is doing today!
Good day, hurshy, Movieman, Karys, Jera, evanadine, granadan (I'm mildly distressed over 'tudor' as well), mommy, and everyone. (Sorry, if I keep listing it will take all day) Luxor is my favorite no-thought-required game. I play when I develop aphasia from looking too much at words.
Welcome to another brain-buster, mab....
ad 5/14 has any body got any clues
hey mab! :)
what's Luxor, Mab?
Hello everybody...
Hi Jen. (and mummy, sorry for spelling error, and adsman, Une, Ouwachita)
billie.....here's a clue 4 ya.... a+ what you use polish to get rid of....
hi mab....what is Luxor please ?
ad5/14 -a+ what's under the bed (not monsters)
And Atalante, smithchick. Luxor is a silly shoot the balls in clusters of three before they roll into the pyramid kind of game.
ai 4/5 has any body got a clue for this plz
Another word for helps ai4.5
billie....ai4....helps ?
ai4/5 - assists
billie: a helper or assistent.
Also with a vowel on the end instead of a plural consonant.
What a pretty dog, Haz.
sounds fun, Mab :)
oooh....ty smithchick ...I had missed that one....got the longer version !!
Thank you - she's my Welsh Springer, Spangle.
Great name. I think her ears must feel like silk (love dogs' ears)
Her ears ARE nice - they don't tend to get matted either.
has any body got a clue for au 6/30 au 4/5 the last 1
I almost missed it too:)
Haven't got either one of the u's.
au 4/5 - mother's sister?
un 4/5 - add two vowels ut 4/5- sounds like plural US state
au6/30 - the IRS checking up on you, minus middle "it"
au6/30 au + di4/7
au 6/30 - add a sound of a bell
TY, Haz. The fewer pesky vowel words, the better.
the last au4 is a car
Ah, but where would we be without vowels?
True, true...
I, personally, would be in Msschstts.
precious dog, Haz. Her face is adorable :)
In Wales?
LOL, Vicuna. rknss, myself.
crwth - I rest my case.
Hello!
Hi, harpjane.
Morning, harpjane.
ha! I was trying to enter Audi!
I've been trying my hardest to get it to accept audi because that's a car... Finally, I saw the error of my ways.
Perhaps I should have said ANY car, not A car!
It shows the power of advertising, doesn't it?
Well, that's it for me... does anyone need help before I go?
Congrats, Jera:) (I'm trying to break myself of my exclamation point habit). But inside, I'm really excited for you.
I like exclamation points!!
smithie - there's nothing wrong with exclamation points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! congrats Jera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!
Greetings to all who entered whilst I was lost in the grid...
fu6?
People, don't enable me, I have a problem.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I'm coming down with something... woke up with a sore throat this morning, now I'm sneezing with a runny nose... think I'll skip exercising & take a nap...
hurshy fu6/30 fu plus when you've got all your marbles (diff spelling)
fu + sa4/4
Naps always work for me in lieu of exercise. That fu word is some charcoal or drawing made from it.
fu6 - means a sort of charcoal, ends witha homonym of "not crazy"
Hi Eastern. Oh dear, you've pushed smithchick off the wagon!
got it, merci
sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (if you can't stop 'em, join 'em!!)
Poor Jera, I so dislike that fast onset kind of cold.
I did very well yesterday, hate to lose momentum, but worse to get very sick, I suppose...
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! HI, Eastern
The only good thing is they usually don;t last long, mab!
My daughter is home from school sick today. Pesky flu bug going around. She's currently crashed in my bed.
Poor baby! Mine has been complainign about a headache the past day or two, on & off...
I guess that's true, Jera. It's so odd how one is perfectly fine one moment, and then half of an hour later, one's head is swimming. Take care.
My littlest was trying her hardest to be sick, too. The thought of her older sister staying home was almost enough to make her that way. She took her temperature about seven times. LOL.
Get some good rest, jera. That's usually the best thing.
Thanks... if I'm not needed, i will take my bow...
That's funny smithchick when they keep on taking their temp, LOL!
*poof*
bye Jera...
Hi everyone, hows it going?
do 5/16? And does anyone remember my icon?
ce 5/12 2nd 1
do 5/16 - active form of do
done!
Mind gone numb on 112 without ant help, anyone out there got a list of words in format as 4/5 etc
Morning all -- my icon is from my favorite game ... Babble! Took the screen names of many of you wonderful people who consistently give clues, and put them together in a photo. Thank you all!
Yay!!!!!! Hurshy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ce5/12 dollars and ce***
Hello, newcomers.
harpjane, you're the name running vertically. I know they are hard to read, but hurshy, babbler, brandyjack, mambear and more are there :)
i have that one its the other 1 i need
jonboy - go to babblers anonymous (link on right side), click on general and stats and there is a list there.
Congrats Hurshy! :)
thanks, smithchick. and oh, ch1212, how sweet!!!!! is there any way we can view it bigger?
Thank you for the do clue! jonboy, go to Babbler's Anonymous (right hand side of the screen), then General, then Daily Stats.
ce5/12 add a vowel to your ce4/5
wait, we have an actual walton today? wow, how exciting!
I don't know... the theme today was 'favorite character from a computer game' so ...
jonboy: click on Babblers Anonymous under friends of babble, on the right of the screen, and there go to stats.
ch1212 - that is so sweet!! what a clever idea!!
i know, ch1212, i had to go with babble as well, i don't really play a lot of computer games. esp not with characters. and i didn't know what counted - i used to play super mario, but is a video game diff from a computer game?
Thanks, easterblue -- you are there too, in blue of course. I used WordArt, created it, then scanned it as a photo.
u are giving me the same clues
I think video game would count, hurshy, but when I saw yours I immediately thought, 'how cool! I should have used that -- it counts for Scrabble too, another favorite.
i have that one its 50 ce--- new album
ch1212 - I love Word Art...I use it at work all the time! (and thanks for including me...*blush*)
i can make out easternblue and templeowl by zooming in
i think i see evanadine?
Why won't it take tudor? one-look says: of or relating to a style of architecture in England in the 15th century
which one is babbler, the blue one on the top left?
evandine, greywoulf, templeowl, smaller... trying to remember everyone I put in. Didn't want it to be too small so I had to limit, unfortunatley
we are all upset about that one mary. :)
finished! any clues needed?
yes, babbler is at the top left :)
How does one zoom in, hurshy?
well, i saved it to my desktop and then am looking at it with windows fax and picture viewer. it's very blurry though.
WooHoo!!!!! Atalante!!!!!!!!!!!!!Congrats! !!!!!!!!!!!!
who is the yellow one with the black squiggle under it?
billie - add a VOWEL to your ce4/5 - not a consonant
Woo Hoo Atalante!!!
I see. Thanks. By the way, well done hurshy, Atalante and Jera!!
oh, so is mamabear the black one in the middle?
That's brandyjack, with anj in a curve right under.
woo hoo hursh!! didn't mean to miss you!!
yes, mamabear in black. periwinkle is toward the bottom, in as near a color as I could make it.
oh, i get it! 'sok eb - i'm so exciting trying to figure out ch1212's icon! :)
towards the right is peri, right?
so am i the blue one in the top middle?
and is that jera in the bottom left corner?
yes and yes, hurshy... and then ja314 is bottom left, but he's only there because he's our newly addicted babbler, and my beloved spouse. :) couldn't leave him out!
abd bottom middle is hugabugs, though haven't played with him/her in awhile.
ohhh, so who's between him and peri?
That's neat that your spouse is addicted, too. You couldn't get mine on here if life as we knew it was going to come crashing to an end unless he got on.
who's in the top right corner?
Can anyone tell me what 7 I'm missing? I've got er7/40 and re7/40.
morning all! ch1212-i'm so honored!!! Babble convention at Big Horn Camp near Plains on May 20th. Can you make it?!! If you come, there will be 3!!! Nice icon, hursh!!!
and who's the red-and-white one under babbler?
He was like that at first, smithchick -- he even went online and found (apparently) the software program brandyjack uses, trying to convince me to use it. I refused to stop playing, or to use it. So... he figured better to join me. We have a lap top and wireless he uses, and play on weekends together.
ga 7/52
SNAP, smaller! (icons not exactly identical, but same idea is good enough for a snap)
Thanks, Haz. Hello smaller.
ga 7/52 - you know how if you wear fancy clothes it's fine**? it ends like that.
hi smaller!!
red, white, blue would be smaller -- I think she's from Montana, so it seemed apropo. And yes, smaller, would love to attend if we're not off somewhere.
My hubby is not into any games at all. He can suffer through a card game if he has to, but doesn't enjoy word games or board games. He'll spend a little time on flight simulator or other action computer games, but that's about it.
Cant access Babblers annoymous due to work restrictions on chat sites can anyone give me a list
ok so i see them all except that purple top right one. (and i can't for the life of me see how the vertical one is harpjane but i'll take your word for it)

ah! now i feel satisfied, i see them all. :)
And now back to our regularly scheduled programming :)
da 4/7 a very mild expletive
all good, jonboy?
ch1212, you icon is so clever. Hi smaller. Is that Plains, Georgia?
any ideas for wo4/8
smithie - your hubby sounds like mine...he'll play cards, xbox sports games, but no word games...
just like the last wa

da 5/12 fmr vp quayle + one of jupiter's moons (two vowels)
da 5/14 to intimidate
other da 5/14 pl of da 4/6
must be off to teach precalculus to some thick-headed boys...
bye hurshy!
Excellent clues on the d's, hurshy. Got about three I was missing!
Bye, hurshy!
bye auntie!
bye smithchick! and all!
Have a good class, hurshy. (precalculus? yikes)
mab, nope. sorry. plains, montana
Droid is so a word. Doesn't enable read J.D. Robb books?
I know smith-very annoying and yes I read her books. Love them!
Ooooh, Montana. Probably nicer than Plains, Georgia, which is simply flat, rural red-earth peanut country. I did visit the Carter family plot, however (Jimmy).
Just finished the new one last night. Eve was actually not in peril for a change. Good book. Next up is the new Lisa Gardner.
mab.. !!!!! so can you make it?!!! then we'd have 4. lol. that's about half the montana population right there!
What's the new one called? I picked up some of the romances once by mistake and didn't like them so much, but love mystery ones.
Gosh, you're right, smaller ... and if I come over from Idaho, my state will be half-emptied too! :)
So many players here read science fiction and fantasy. I wonder if that's because those are very popular genres, or if this site attracts those readers, or if it's a coincidence. I don't read either (never could make it through even Tolkien).
LOL ch1212! True!! You know, we should have a breeding program at the same time as our convention. get some new DNA in the idaho/montana mix
The new one is Memory In Death.
mab, you have a point. I went to a Catholic seminary for awhile (the token female, I think) and by FAR the most popular genre for leisure time reading was science fiction and fantasy. I wondered about it too. Of course, not too much, because I'm a huge SF fan too.
LOL, LOL! smaller
Can I get another clue for the ga7/52? I'm not getting it.
Idaho, Montana -- that's such beautiful country; I don't understand why more people don't live there. I couldn't make it to Montana, smaller, or Georgia, but thanks.
Never mind, just got it.
Mab, Think of montana as just another M state like yours. We're just on the other side of Michigan which is the M state next to you. See. VERY CLOSE. just drop by
Hellooo Babblers !
hi Bugzy
well helllllooooooooooooo bugzy!!!
Hello, Bugzy....
yo, bugzy!
Yeah, just skip on over. No Biggie:)
So, being that I'm in Michigan, that means we're neighbors, Smaller ? ;)
Bugzy, ding ding ding! You got it!!! Geography 101 by smaller
I like fiction that is set in regular human time with human characters, for the most part. Call me crazy.... I'm reading 'Emotionally Weird' by Kate Atkinson. British writer, very story-tellerish, about families, relationships. She's brilliant - funny, complex. 'Behind the Scenes at the Museum' is one of my favorite books.
can someone give me a clue for the ta6/39? I just can't get it :(
ok I'm an idiot! i still can't get the ga7. can i have an elementary clue please?
Nevermind, got it. Easy one too...
LOL Smaller :) And mab, I'm an avid reader too, but I could never get into SF/fantasy. Mysteries, especially historical mysteries & contemporary fiction are my mainstays.
I'm not a big reader of science fiction usually, but my sister had me read a J.D. Robb book, and I really liked it. Good character development. I like reading series because I'm usually not ready to be done with a character if he/she is really well written.
punster-ends with 3 letter word for what you do with a towel. Means cheap, sleazy.
ga7- think tacky clothing.
punster... now don't be too hasty! clue please?!! please please?!!
ga7 = ga4/8 + vowel + consonent + sometimes vowel
Good Morning, Everyone
smaller, wasn't it a good idea that our founding fathers had to arrange the states alphabetically? Geniuses, they were.
smaller- a very strange word-but does sound a lot like the ta6/39.
hi cybernan -- love your icon... in fact, some day we should ALL show up with tiles!
ta6 sounds a bit like ga7.
Hello, cybernan! Okay, that ta6 isn't so easy for me. Clue, anyone?
Hi Cybernan :)
smith-have you tried any of the "mysteries" by Roger Tannebaum? (Can never remember if it's 2 n's or 1) There quite a long series of them with Butch Karp and Marlene Ciampi and I find the characters wonderful. The auther was a DA in Ny for a long time, writes quite well, very witty, but they are characters you can sink your teeth into and if you start from the earliest one you can read your way through many years.
smaller, the bright hawaiian print shirt that man is wearing is so ga***! How could anyone buy such ga*****? Stuff an er into the word.
t6/39 = ta4/8 minus 1 letter + what you do with your washing
ta6/39= what Tweety says, "I tawt I t** a puddy tat" + what you do with a towel
Clue for the last re6/27 please?
Punster -- look at the points -- that gives it away. ta6: tacky in appearance
Eva, I haven't. I'll have to try him. I love witty writers.
smithchick, use the w for the ta word.
Oh!!! I was going from the wrong t. Thanks all!
re 6/27: taking an action again
oh my, I'm not winning any brainiac awards today. FINALLY got it!! thanks all
re6/27 = to shrink, lessen
re6/27: To make smaller (What I need to do with my waistline)
Mary, re6/27 - you re**** the number of words left to find :->
Duh, such an easy word. Thanx all
No probs Mary, anytime.
I know these are probably common babble words, but I'm not seeing them: ts's, anyone? THanks !
The moment I found there were ts's, I monkey typed and got them both. Look at the points and you should figure them out - the words are almost identical.
Don't cha just hate it when friends and family come by and interrupt your babbling?
OK, Just monkeyed one... Go monkeys, go!
Yay monkeys! Got them both.
How dare they, gramma! :)
I'll be on for a time yet if ne1 needs help. And I hope at least somebody recognised my icon.
Hello All, are we having fun yet?
Hidilly ho, neighbors!
Just got back from being interrupted. Hi all who came on while I was gone. Congrats, Punster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry Punster, I'm not a gamer (other than Babble of course) - who is it? Hi chic and judi :)
Thnx.
Big series running for many years, you might have heard of it - Final Fantasy. This image is from FF7, though its up to FF12 now.
Oh yea, my ex-brother in law used to play that. In fact, one of the reasons he is now an ex is that he plays that and other games so much!
Never heard of FF before the Detroit Symphony featured two concerts with their music last fall. Both were sold out by Internet. The audience came from some 15 states and countries and were verry well behaved.
Final Fantasy has some beautiful music.
inge - are you in Detroit/ the metro area?
yes, on the west side. halfway to AnnArbor, really.
everyone in my office is watching coretta scott king funeral on TV.
Cool ! I'm an eastsider, live in Warren now. West side to me is anything past I75 :)
Did you mean 275? We are but two miles west of there in Northville.
To me anything on the other side of Woodward is another country.
No, I- 75 - 275 is *really* the boonies ;) I do have friends that live off Ann Arbor Rd in Canton, that's like another planet :)
LOL inge !
Afternoon all..
Hey, caitlyn.
You will see more of Canton when Ikea opens up.
Hi Caitlyn.
I have to finish vacuuming before hubby comes home from Matthei Botanical Garden. Will be back later.
Hi caitlyn :) Heck yea, inge, my friend's house is about a mile or two from there. I can't wait til that place opens!
I love Ikea - cheap and cheerful. I love their Swedish meatballs too (strictly non-kosher).
Hi Cait, morning all. Ooh Mab, I love Luxor and Zuma! MSN has some great puzzle games!
See ya inge ! Glad to see another Detroiter here :)
Bye inge, hi bunny.
We lived in Novi for all of two weeks.
Hi bunny - that's right by inge -- like i said, a world away from me :)
mab - just reading the log... i think SF and fantasy are particularly popular among smart people, and esp among people who use computers a lot. babblers often fit into both these categories, i would think.
and i love those ikea meatballs too!!!
AND, if you think precalc is bad, i also teach calculus!
OK - 3 left - having trouble with 5/14s, I guess --- sa5/14, su5/14, and ni5/14, anyone? Thanks :)
ni 5/14 rhymes with the king whose touch turned stuff to gold
Ewww to both. I finally got pretty good at statistics, but that and balancing the checkbook are the extent of my math abilities.
sa 5/14 marinara, pesto, bechamel
su 5/14 rhymes with english t**** architecture that we are all so upset isn't counting as a word today
I've tried nearly every msn zone game! Was addicted to Zuma for awhile. I like the utterly brainless ones that only require quich reflexes, which, by the way, I don't have, but I think it's good for me to improve in that area. In the little customer reviews of games, some kid complained he could never get past level 8 on Luxor. I consider myself very fortunate to get past level 2!
statistics has probably a much broader range of uses than calculus anyway...
Well sheesh, hurshy. Math must stimulate your brain. You are on fire.
hurshy - you are my hero !! And not just because you teach calculus!! Thank you :)
i am constantly on fire. people think God is speaking to them out of me all the time. (burning bush reference, get it?)
I don't do much statistics as a stay-at-home mom unless my 7th grader brings it home. I'm all about that mean, median, mode stuff.
Cait, the little bits are home and waving hi, refresh :)
HeeHee, Hurshy. LOL. Modesty becomes you:)
Well, now that I'm done I must go get some sinus pills so I can actually breathe!! See you all later :)
oh, tell them we wave back bunny.
*blush*
hurshy, I've never even studied algebra. I would really like to learn some math - it seems like it's sort of a puzzle to be solved. I have made it through statistics classes for psychology a few times - a miracle.
Hi back to the twins I bet you havnt let them out of your sight today!
bye Bugzy
Bye bugzy, Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i majored in psych and annoyed my classmates in psych stats because i found it so ridiculously easy *embarrassed look*
nope, they woke me au at 5:30 a.m. by turning on the lights and saying "It 8 o'clock, to get UUUUUP!"
any clues for ta 6/39, my last one to get!
mab - you should learn some math, though! i bet it would make you feel really good! i would offer to teach you but even though we live not TOO far it's probably further than you want to go for that.
ta 6/39 vegas showgirls might be described as this adjective
I majored in sociology. My first experience with Stats was at BYU. The teacher there wouldn't let you use a calculator and all of your formulas had to be memorized. I got a D (very traumatic). I took it again and that instructor said, "You'll never be thrown into a Turkish prison and forced to recite statistics formulas. If you are going to be doing statistics, you'll have access to a calculator and formulas. The next year, I was his grad assistant in statistics.
That is great bunny...lol hurshy..Im sitting here amazed ..you clever thing.any sort of maths always breaks me out in a cold sweat!!
hi kids
Hi, boreetos!
What a horrible teacher. I'm going back to college full time in fall, but I'm taking most of my classes via internet. Don't have to fuss with them that way, at least not til university! Hope I don't get any like that though!
how is everyone doing today?
The only way I got through statistics is by reading a book that explained in words what the numbers meant!
yeah, i am very specific about what i expect students to memorize and what i don't. multiplication tables, yes. integral tables, NO. :) caitlyn - i think that is one of the biggest problems - people are just AFRAID of math - i tell my students not to be - that it is very sensible stuff, that it is meant to be understood and if your brain is at all decent then you will be able to do it.
Hey neats, I gave a clue for the ta6/39 a little earlier.
well if isn't the lovely good witch of the North!
Cait, I can barely help my fourth grader with math, I used to be good at it, just kinda went away....like my waistline!
oh boreetos, that was me yesterday - i think you need to refresh (incidentally, in the books, glinda is the witch of the south - why change that for the movie, i wonder? bias towards euro-america?)
I'm stuck on the "N" in the top row...any clues?
What I loved about that teacher (Shout out to Mr. Gerald Loyd) is that he broke everything down step-by-step. You'd have to be brain dead not to get it. Of course, I found out as his grad asst. that there were some pretty brain dead people out there.
we are all done at the cheddar cheese factory !!
thanks hurshy all finished!
hmmm, refresh, you say... I'm skeptical.
it's that greek temple one with all the vowels that comes up so often, bunny.
Congrats hebbzy and neats!!!!!!!!
nope, I was wrong. refresh is good.
n- straight across the top.
yes, congrats to the finishers!
I always thought if you are not good at maths you are okay with english ..probably wrong!!(i left school at 15)
lol boreetos
well, if it isn't the good QU icon of the South!
LOL boreetos
Duh, I knew that one, thank you both!
My 13 yr. old son always scores advanced on math and reading on standardized tests. It does seem a strange combination.
So boreetos, dude, like, what's your game?
there's no reason you can't be good at both! my english teachers were always shocked when my mom told them math was my best subject.
Hi all! Went I taugh English, I had my students memorize 20 prepositions and conjunctions.
reading always came easy for me, but so did math, right through geometry. Algebra on the other hand is my kryptonite.
hold up, I'm googling as we speak for a new icon.
Hi deutsch! I was an odd ball who actually enjoyed diagramming sentences.
we had to memorize ALL the prepositions!!! i remember that!! let's see... aboard about above across after against along among around at before behind below beneath beside between beyond by down during except for from in into like...i think i'm losing it now...
When I started contract training, I was teaching people who were good at math. so I broke down comma rules into formulas.
I would have done fine in algebra if we had a decent teacher. He was the basketball coach being forced to teach a subject as well, and poorly! Slept through that class.
I think you lot are brilliant!! i mean that.Never mind i will just babble my days away x
well, the first half isn't bad after 15 years.
Hey, Smith, so did I!
afternoon babblers!
I don't even know what calculus is. i thought it was what dental assistants removed from one's teeth with pointy metal implements.
this is strange...I'm sure I remembered coming home from school :D hi everyone!
Doing great, Hurshy!
has any 1 got any clues for di 4/5 da 5/12 da 5/14
hiya, for all you gamesters out there, go to www.bigfish.com. I get all my games there and they have free trials.
LOL mab and miya! hi miya! happy two days after your birthday!
Hi Miyavi, we will be diagraming sentences in 20, but first a discussion of Hemmingway! LOL
hi Miyavi! oh, yeah, what's a preposition again? :)
smithchick - now perhaps yo ucan give the clue for ga7/52 puleese?
i go to lunch now. bye-byeeeee!!!!
Preps tell location, Boreetos. Between the sheets, under the sheets, around the sheets...
Happy late b-day Miyavi!
Hello everyone! Happy belated birthday Miya!
bye hurshy!
LOL thanks Hurshy! XD Deutsch...oh, that again! I've just had a day of simultaneous equations, trying to saw straight, something about volcanoes (I was half asleep) and I wrote a four-page essay on comparable characters in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in an hour @_@
A bit of math psychology (in retrospect): I do believe that some people have a greater aptitude for logical thinking than others -- unfortunately the orderly mind necessary for mathematics is not mine. However -- conditioning is important! -- or should I say the wrong conditioning? -- I had a mother who was continually saying that she was never any good at math either, so as a child I took notion that girls were no good at math -- an idea that surely affected my performance and attention in class. Also, query, query, query -- if you don't understand ask the teacher why? -- I never did, until I needed a tutor at university because I couldn't understand the "new math" I was expected to teach. For the first time, I understood algebra rather than memorizing it.
Thanks Bunny, thanks Lupe! XD *feeling special*
I remember a few years ago when a talking barbie came out that said it hated math homework and they had to recall it.
Miyavi, then, since it's two days after your birthday (happy, btw) we'll forget the sentences and definitely forget hemmingway. ( not one of my favorites)
ok, I'm all gamed up now. please refesh. Hurshy said it's good to refresh. :)
A belated happy birthday Miy!!!!!
lmao, don't stop on my account! I actually enjoyed doing the Shakespeare, even though my hand is cramping up now. And my double-period tech lesson was mainly spent yelling "Daniel, can we ping your nipples?!"
Yuck, sick daughter at home just proved without a doubt that she is, in fact, quite ill. Ewww. Ga7-tacky clothing.
thanks Mab! XD
Hi miyavi (happy last Sun birthday) I like your statement cybernan.
mab, luxor is truely worth icondom, that game is wicked addicting. Did you play it's predecesor?
st 6/21?
yesyes, happy belated birthday!
Hi and thanks Caitlyn! XD
And Boreetos! *gasps* ah, I'm just so popular :D
cyber, you are right. My mom always said I could do anything. To this day, I do anything and people ask how I did it. I say I didn't know it couldn't be done. e.g. how'd you get that carpet out all by yourself?
holy poop! Droid isn't a word?
boreetos, nope and neither is tudor and drey!
Hi Miyavi -- belated birthday greetings! -- did you have a good day yesterday?
No, boreetos, I don't think so; didn't know there was a pre-Luxor. I'm very bad at it, but it's brainless and distracting.
that's just silly.
Hey Cyber! I had a great day thanks! ^^
st 6/12, please?
you know deutsch, even though you told me they weren't words, I tried them anyway. :) and on that redundancy filled note, I'm going to get back to work. See you kids at lunch!
st6/21 -position taken or posture
Oops -- make that st 6/21?
cyber: what is your st**** on mathematics?
Mab, think he's talking about Zuma.
Thank you!
Happy Belated to Miyavi and Happy Early...to me!! :D

st6/24- a place where albums are recorded.
woot! done. thanks so much. anyone need a clue?
wah! *wakes up* thanks Eva! I tuned out a little there XD
Could someone tell me which 6 I'm missing? I've got: ai6 au6 fu6 or6 re6/ 27 re6/27 st6/21 st6/24 ta 6/39
Yay!!Leslie!!!
ga 6 is missing
ty, cybernan. To work I go.
Just tripped over the finish line..Yay!! Be right back.
re 6/21 - re + "days" in spanish, smithchick
According, to my stats panel, I've got all of my g's.
Good job, cybernan!!!!!!!
Ty, lesle, that was the one. Down to four left.
smithchick - still need that clue for ga7/52 please.
i think it's the re 6/27 smith
ga7- The word ends in y. Tacky clothing.
sorry, 6/21, leslie had it!
sushi, do you have the ga 4/8? that's the first four letters, then a suffix like in crock***
for the ga 7, make sure you have the ga4 8
Instead of fi***y you have ga****y
let me work on the ga4/8 first.
Which f am I missing? fa4/7 fa4/7 fu4/9 fu5/22 fu6/30
sushi, do'nt forget its plural (I did)
fu4 13
Thanks, Deutsch. Is that actually a word? I'll have to check out the little question mark.
heh, sorry, popped in, then ran to lunch...but im back now! dunno really what i want for the Bday -- and i think thats making my BF and family not such big fans of mine...hehe
smith, I tried it as a lark. Was surprised it took! btw, I'm doing it around the house today LOL
Jewelry is always good, evan.
Happy early birthday in case I get a life between now and then and miss you.
happy late birthday, miyavi Fan!
gift cards it is then!
Me too, Deutsch. I was going to say hubby is away so I can fu** all I want, then realized that may be misconstrued!
evanadine, I once asked for 7 niches of gold and got a beautiful diamond cut gold bracelet!
ive got NO idea what the BF is planning...all i know is that hes working with some woman on my bday gift and with some guy on my vday gift...hehe which reminds me, im still clueless for his vday gift!
Eva, so close to Valentines too! Your poor boyfriend! My husband has it bad too, my b-day is Xmas Eve.
Mine is two days after Christmas. Always hated it.
lmao smith!!
smitih, LOL
Just sayin'....
Then join the forgotten club smith, Leslie is on Xmas Eve as well, we'll never have a birthday again!
not as bad as an xmas bday (my brothers is a week before xmas) but mine is just 5 days before vday, so the poor BF keeps complaining about that...heh
Oh, I don't know. Now that I'm married. I play up the poor, pitiful me card and gently, tearfully suggest that he can get me a really extravagant gift and it can be for Christmas, B-day and Ann.(Feb. 5). Sometimes it works.
The last V-Day present I got was salt free salt, house shoes, and coco butter lotion when I was preggers with the twins, that was four years ago....
last year the BF bought me a gorgeous heart-shaped necklace with 3 diamonds on the heart itself + 3 diamonds on the part that hangs off the chain...its a "past, present, future" kinda thing... since he gave it to me, ive only taken it off, maybe, 5 times...
Hubby usually gets me flowers and maybe some chocolate. Or just chocolate (depending on status of finances at time).
I felt like the girl in the well on Silence of the Lambs!
Believe it or not, I don't like jewelry, I feel like it's a waste of money. But with all the kids, it could be better spent on ANYTHING! I'm allergic to chocolate..I'm hard to shop for !
Poor bunny!
How sweet, evanadine. Mine is romantic about once every four or five years. This year he got me 18 red roses for our 18th anniversary, so he won't be due again for a while. They were gorgeous. And.... he didn't get them at Wal-Mart or Pricecutter!
Dang, that is hard. I LOVE!!! jewelry. I usually decide what I want and have my mother or sister/s gently suggest to hubby what to get me. Sound strategy.
Ahhh, how sweet...might e-mail this chat log to husband...
They need all the help they can get (that's been my experience, anyway). It's not like you want a tractor or anything easy like that.
im not huge on jewelry either, but that was our first vday, so he was trying to make a big impression, im sure. plus, he just got me diamond earrings for christmas! i told him a diamond ring had better be the next piece of jewelry he gets me...hehe normally i prefer to smaller, more heartfelt stuff -- last vday i gave him a gorgeous leather journal with a list of 101 reasons why i love him. :)
Gifts....people get gifts from their husbands...I must be have done something wrong. He took me to Montery about 20 years ago for Vday but of course we were dating then.....*sigh*
Down to one a5 and one d5. Any clues? Here's my a's: ad5/12 ad5/14 ag4/6 ag4/6 ai4/5 ai5/12 ai6/21 ai4/5 an4/4 an4/5 au6/30 a u4/5 au4/5
Monterey?!? I only got Red Lobster, with coupons! It's ok, he loves me very much and tells me all the time, good enough for me! He will go get a present on his own for all of the kids on their birthday instead of leaving me to shop. He even does dishes!
You're missing au 5/14
Bummer, Schroeder. My dad never gets my mother gifts, either. Now that I'm older, I make him give me money and I get her stuff from him. Of course she knows I got it (or one of my sisters) but he isn't gonna change anytime soon. Or, she gets her own dang self something.
Thanks, haz. In the immortal words of Kathy Mattea, Where've you been?
Yeah your right bunny, got a love a man who does dishes....I got one of those, he even cooks (I think only because he wants to eat and I work to much)
the last five g's are eluding me... any help on the big one?
I've been cleaning, dog walking etc - filling in some time now before husband comes home from evening surgery.
in all my other relationships (the longest being a whopping 7 months...hehe) i was the one who was always making the efforts... but the BF now does everything for me and i feel so bad sometimes because i never do enough for him...he is SO wonderful. and this one has been around over a year + a half now!
oh, haz, is that a brittany?
LeslieAnn gave a good clue for the ga7 at 12:02.
I do it to myself anyway, he'll ask what I want and I'll say nothing...he thinks I really mean it!
That's a good stretch Eva! Maybe you're getting a "special" ring pretty soon!
No, Spangle is a Welsh Springer Spaniel - they're a lovely rusty colour.
He did a little better this year for x-mas smithchick, he got me shoes.....wrong size....but at least he tried
so precious! Spaniels are so sweet and adorable--I grew up with cockers and spingers--had a springer for 16 years and a cocker up till 2002 . . . now have switched to adopting shelter dogs and am loving them too!
we talk about it all the time! i was actually kinda surprised i didnt get one for xmas...hehe...but i do think hes saving his pennies! and we are in the workings of moving in together... between the two of us, my 2 cats, and his 3 cats and tankful of fish, its gonna be a full house!!
Thanks Smith, should be able to monkey em' in from there!
evanadine ... nice icon :-)
thanks darleen -- i just wish that was really me...haha
Are you a player? And no you don't... who wants melon sized boobs and a big butt? LOL
if some of you just got your significant others hooked on babble they could pick up a few ideas.....
oh wait ... that would be JLo
UMMM...me? Got the butt part down, lol!
well, i already have the big butt...haha...i wouldnt mind the small waist + tons of toned muscles though!! i dont play the game anymore, though in college i used to play the videogame with some friends...we made it a team effort -- my job was to yell out "YETI!!" whenever i saw one...haha
Is it just me or is this one B**** of a grid?
dl88, would have to teach him to spell first! He would give monkey typing a whole new meaning!
Oh I am HOOKED. I have all 6 games and have played them each at least 6 times. I LOVE IT. I hear there's a 7th in the wings ... I can hardly wait.
Lol dl88...but then they would know to much other stuff
Yup it is Dar, that darn "U"!
What game is it?
I guess my wife should feel blessed that I can at least spell!! LOL
What's wrong with melon-sized boobs and a big butt? Hmm?
im really no good at those action games where things can sneak up behind you -- i get SO addicted, but then i get all stressed and frustrated... kinda defies the point of playing...hehe
bunny ... you talkin' to me? Tomb Raider
bunny -- its my icon for today -- lara croft from Tomb Raider
smithchick... um. nothing if you can make all your own clothes? Not that MY backside is small, just you know, commenting???
dl88 has been lurking making us think it is safe to share our secrets. Shame on you, dl88!!
evanadine... I'm so addicted to Tomb Raider... when I play I find myself physically leaning across the desk to try and see around the corners, LOL. Man is that sad or what??
Well, what you do is grow your waist so that it is in proportion. Duh...
hah, im the same way!! the only action game i ever really got into was Gauntlet -- i was a wizardess + the more power i got, the bigger my boobs got...haha... i liked that game cause you could have up to 4 people playing at once, which was fun.
smith, didn't know there was a man among us, oops! I haven't played Croft, but I got a new Lord of the Rings I like alot, and Final Fantasy or Fantasy Star. DOn't get to play much and there are so many!
the conversation has been very entertaing and people are wondering why I am laughing at my computer. I am leaving now that I am done and FYI, I am making my wife and kids a VD dinner on sat and have a msaage scheduled for her on Sunday afternoon
LOL. I only played Gauntlet on those machines? And not for very long. Hubby was addicted big time. he and a friend would hit the bar just to play it.
Okay, dl88. I love you! What a good hubby. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!
ahh, my friends had gauntlet for, i think game cube
How sweet dl88! Bye!
Hi all. I'm just popping in for about 20 minutes. I cannot wait until tomorrow. I have the entire day free. I am going to play play play!! Okay well, except for cleaning up the house and doing the laundry.
Hubby really likes Oni but I can't quite get into it. I got half way through American McGee's Alice (VERY strange game) and have a stack waiting to be played. I'm just stuck on TR.
Bye dl88!!! What a sweetie :)
Hi musicmom, I'm finishing the last load of laundry even as we speak.
Hi musicmom and bye dl88. I still haven't figured out my missing au5/14. Any clues?
Ours is piled up like crazy. This past week has been nuts!
I accidentally saved over one of his games that had 104 logged hours of pure leveling up with my 2 hour game, oops!
It's to do with listening
it's not video, it's au***
Sorry Smith, don't have that one yet. I literally just sat down here.
Never mind. Just figured it out. Now I'm down to one d5. Have no idea what it is. Monkey-typing to commence.
au 5/14 - ends like the st 6/24, has to do with sound
actually thought about getting a gaming system for my home just so i could play gauntlet...then i remembered that i would never get anything else done....EVER.... hehe
What am I missing? da5/12, da5/14 x2, do5/12, do5/16 and dy5/16
It's funny. We have a PS2 - ostensibly for the kids. But, my husband and I play it more than they do. I don't like strategy games or role playing though. I love racing games, word games and sports sims. I also love DDR but we don't have it.
Music, are there some good word games for the PS2?
There's another do5/12
Bunny I 'll have to check that out. Although, since I found Babble, I hardly have time for any other game<G> I have got to get faster at solving these grids.
i think thats part of why i like gauntlet -- there are different levels in different worlds, so you can approach it just as a one-time kinda game... but then there is this over-arching plot, so you can play it that way too... and if you play it with different characters, they have different powers which totally changes how you play...
My girls got DDR for Christmas last year. I've not played it. We got a PS2 last year (hubby wanted to get it as a "family" gift- and if I just happened to want to get him a game to play on it, these are the three he wants- oh and a joystick). He bought me scrabble or something for it, but I never wanted to wait in line.
Thanks, haz. I'll search it out.
Smth that is the beauty of my day. Last week not withstanding, sometimes I can play while everyone else is at work and school<G>
Got it! Yay! Finished!!!!
Yea! Smithchick!
I'll have to try that, musicmom. If I can wrench myself away from babble in a timely manner.
way to go Smith!
Ty, ty very much...
Hey smith --- the best thing is the classic looks on their faces when they get home and you are playing .... and they have to wait for you to finish your level to get a snack, look at their project etc. etc. Really turns the tables, heheh
I miss the original nintendo, I loved LoLo, Yoshi Cookie, Dr. Mario.... so many puzzle games.
LOL, musicmom. Next time hubby is home to pick up the kids, that's what I'm gonna do. Poetic justice.
Absolutely!
Finally got back, but judging by all the chat, no one needs any clues, so I'll be on my way until the flip. :)
Speaking of picking up the kids, it is about that time. I hope to be back later this evening. Have a great day, evening, morning, whatever everyone!
Does anyone need any clues? I've got to have my USA Today crossword puzzle fix soon.
Bye musicmom and cybernan!!
final load is finally done and folded and put away. Dare I babble some more, or get cleaned up and go to the store for tonight's dinner?
su 5/14?
Deutsch, pizza- order in. su5/14. Rhymes with a type of architecture starting with t.
Smith, LOL. That's usually Thursday, but what the hey?
Well, you don't want to get into a rut after all.
Well, I'm outta here. Bye, all.
Bye Smith, ty for the clue.
bye smithchick!
I'm done too, off to the grocery store, thanks for all the clues. See ya'll tomorrow!

Hello everyone! : ) Hey babe (((xxx))) : )
Judi, it's Connect Four. one of my alltime favorite board games. it had everything, strategy, interaction, excitment! It's the best!
thanks .....why do I miss the easy ones....wait dont answer that! lol : )
Hi babe : ) (((xx))) Jen, it goes in fits and starts. I started and had fits : /
Lola, I should have known. Myst rules!
Board game!!? Theme is computer games. Let's get into the 21st century, man!
Boreetos have you ever played giant Connect 4 ?
i know, i know, but there are many online versions! I just shose thise pic for an icon!
Hi boreetos! I'm playing Uru at the moment. Riven was my favourite : )
Judi, I thought it was computer characters. I couldn't think of a better or worse character than Hal. I loved that movie.
Giant connect four?? Tell me more! : )
good times lola! no, Anj, I haven't .I've seen pics, but not in person.
Gramma, I never heard of "Hal". Who was in the movie?
LOL Great fun...pieces the size of dinner plates. It's right up there with Giant Jenga as well : D That goes down like a wounded Redwood when it topples...
Judi, Hal was the computer from the movie 2001:A Space Odyssey.
Oh, okay. I gotcha now.
Giant Jenga?! that sounds awesome. Yeah, I can only imagine the fun with huge Connect Four. There's a mall with a giant Chess Board near my house. It's pretty awesome.
Space odyssey 2001. Hal took over the ship. He started reading they're lips and his artificial intellect went too far.
HAL got his name from IBM, the letters are just moved one place back. I=H, B=A, M=L.
boreetos, I'm actually at the 'wandering around aimlessly, not knowing what to do' stage in Uru at the moment.... it's the best, lol! : D
yeah lola, I know the feeling. That's me in all the Myst games. Maybe I should try and find a Starship Titanic icon!
...! Don't tell that to Dr Chandra! It's Heuristic ALgorithm in his book lol
:)
Anj? I noticed on your iTunes you group your music in files...how do I make files and put songs in them? : )
alright kids, I got to get back to work. see you later, if not tomorrow! Happy gaming!
'bye boreetos : )
later Boreetos : ) Lo, iTunes files?? Do you mean in the store or in the play window?

Anotherday, another grid finished.
Woo! Well done exwren! : )
Click on the plus sign button, bottom left to create a new playlist. Then name it. Then drag all the songs you want into it from the main library view : ) The library is the permanent store. Playlists are just temporary lists : )

Jen, it's between you and me *winks*
for the life of me I cannot figure out the third oa word, the oa 4/4 thats not a cereal. Any help?

inge: just swap the last two letters of your cereal for the other oa4.
the porridge is a cereal, isn't it? I got that. There is another 4-letter oa word.
ty mab

oops, sorry. it's my favorite tv show...LOST. it's black and it has LOST in white on it
Miya what did you do?
is it suppose to be a certian thing today?
I'm saving those revolting re's for last. Hello, by the way (so rude of me to not say so earlier).
We watched the first "Lost", but couldn't get into it, so didn't watch any more.
I burst into her class and yelled "THE SEX BOMB HAS ARRIVED!"
Hello mab : )
Getting there... Just Gs and Ss to go : / Mussing 2 x 5 and a 6 as well...
Hey Mab : )
LOL! ...and you did that because..??? : D
Oh I remember now! Can I make my icon a picture of a bear with a snowman on or is it to christmasy?
um...I don't think there was actually a reason why I did it, I just...did. Anyhow, she just gave me a look like "you're insane but I'll tolerate you". But then some boy said "Jonathon's parents look at animals doing diiiirty things!" so I was excused!
oh really? i started it late so didnt watch. but then last summer iw atched the whole 1st season on dvd. so i casught up for 2nd season and i love it
Follow your heart, Gemima ^^

hi sha
exactly Gem! I don't think my icon (Die, looking very sulkily gorgey ^^) exactly ties in with the games theme either! but it had lyrics written across it, so I relented, just because I can translate them

ga 7 builds off the ga 4 8 I don't see a ga 5 28
klp, do you mean ga5/18? If so it is the plural of the ga4/8.

er 7 wearing away
Is that a recent release, Anj, or an older film? Is it a talkie?
Holy Shitake, batman!
wait, how come it didn't beep you?!
Anj, are you going with Dave?
yes, how come?! huh? huh punk?
Okay. I'm leaving. I'm all out of mushroom jokes anyway.
something is rotten in the state of babbleland...
Hurshy, what's beeping you?
Mab, they're a rock band. 3 girlies dresed in fishnets, boots, suzzis and smiles... *sighs*

*sneak*sneak*sneak*POUNCE* MIYA!!!! (((((((((********HUG*********) )))))))) Happy Belated, babe! missed you on the actual day...it was Superbowl Sunday so I didn't end up Babbling that day!!!
in my post, at least on my screen, it appears as <beep>ake. but in judi's, it says Shitake.
That's funny hurshy. And annoying. I was beeped last week while speaking of female dogs and fox hunting.
Babble doesn't speak mushroom (or Japanese), Hurshy.

Hmm, beer and girls in fishnets. Should I be expecting the usual text messages?? : D

hey - anyone who's finished and needs more boggle-like fun should try playing letter linker. it is in a way easier than babble because it doesn't have many words people have never heard of. BUT there's no brandyjack to help you out, and when you can't get a word it's MORE frustrating than in babble because you realize it probably IS a word you know, so you can't say to yourself "oh well, it's probably something wacky like 'fuvid'".
I am FINISHED!! Thanks for help!
The 2nd do5/12, anyone?
do 5/12 means the back the of your hand, fin on a shark ...
Where would one find letter linker, hurshy?

Hi doxy and pbr -- I am here working on my last few Pretty quiet tonight :)
hi GW. just got on. been at work today.
GreyWoulf -- how's the family? And how are you?
doxy -- how was work? pbr -- family is good, though Kirsten is feeling very chilly right now, but no temp --- I am exhausted -- Seb had a toxic diaper last night and gas kept him up til god awful o'clock in the AM -- thanks for asking :)
kept me busy. had to do an emergent c-section. baby and mom are fine
that's good to hear :)
My children are well grown, but I do have a little grandbaby -- 18 months. He does keep us all busy -- but it is fun watching the daily growth.
Thanks great, pbr -- it is sooo much fun watching them develop into little people with true personalities of their own, isn't it?
I never realized how many times they can watch the same video -- over and over and over -- the einstein ones are great...for them!!!!
And I am now done -- I was up til the grid was swimming before me this am due to late night fussies and feedings -- Thank god for Brandyjacks list :)
congrats GW. Hope you sleep better tonight.
Congrats GW -- relax!
I am lucky so far that Kristianna has not gotten into that stage with videos yet -- now, when it comes to online flash animation, that is a different story altogether ;D
This is how I relax, pbr -- Seb is sleeping in my lap as I type -- he will be wanting food in about an hour or so, which means I am not going anywhere :)
hopefully, he won't have the same gas issues tonight -- that was why he was up so late last night -- he needed to get it out of his system and then I had to hold him over my heart to lull him to sleep because he was so wound up
hi everyone! back to finish...

((**Lucky**)) -- just posted earlier about family all doing well , though last night was a long one for me :) Will be back in a bit -- Seb just woke up screaming for food :)
GW, you must have had more sleep than I did last night, your clues are great.
I don't know, doxy -- I only got about 4 hours in two 2 hr blocks -- however, I have been doing this since Oct and am VERY addicted -- cluegiving has become almost 2nd nature I guess ;D
ist sa4/5? i am fading fast...
I didn't get much more than that. Woke up before 4 am, worried about son. Hadn't heard from him in a month. Had a doc, retired AF, help me call his training instructor this morning. He called this evening. He's ok. Mom is calmer tonight.
Last sa2/5 -- past tense of say
oops -- see typing and feeding don't mix :D
doxy -- where is he? I don't remember :)
he is in San Angelo, Texas. He calls it the "armpit of Texas". They only have 1 McDonalds in town. He is being sent to his first base assignment next Wednesday. Going to Okinawa, Japan
hail and hello back to try to nail the last 24 words....
hi blaze
please..the first sa4 is my last word...the toothpicks holding up my eyes are failing...
sa + 4th letter + 2nd vowel
1-4-3 = i love you ...all!
congrats temple. Get some sleep.
((**Temple**))
I'm finished.
how can i complain with woulfie here? i would be a terrible parent...could go without food but not sleep!
yay doxy! *applauds*
temple, you learn to adapt.
so i hear...guess that is easier when u are younger...i went very low in sleep last two weeks studying and both school and work suffered...on break for three weeks thank god!
LOL, Temple -- Kirsten wonders how I can do it, but I point out that my social skills, meager at best, drop to zilch as a result --- chat doesn't count as I get to think before typing ;D
going for now. Will try to be back at the flip.
I am done! Going to go look at some games online.... if you like games like zuma and luxor etc try www.bigfish.com. be back before the flip...
What I really want to know is how do I keep Seb drom falling asleep during feeding? :D He always dozes off after I stop to burp him!
bye chi c, bye doxy..ty for the help
GW rub his feet a little or shift his position..... although he will still burp when he is asleep....
Later doxy, chic -- (*Hugs*)
Thank you, Blaze :)
do 5/16 pretty please
well i must go...see you tomorrow if the puzzle's not too big! i accidentally got signed out of the site at work and since i cannot acces email there, cannot babble during the day : (
do5/16 -- present tense of do
blaze- act of performing
can I get a hint of one of the last au 4's. I have the one that's my Mom's sister
G'nite Temple -- that's a bummer --- sleep well (*HUG*)
tabby another word for car
tabby-another word for car
actually, gw - it might save me from being fired - LOL! see you! kisses to sebastian!
au 4/5: uncle's wife au 4/5: car
Thanks Blaze & kris. Duh
Temple -- LOL
yw Tabby
tabby- you are another victim of Babble -- we get so used to looking for obscure words that we become blind to the commonplace! ;D
ahhhh finnally finished.... be back at the flip... see youhten
Later, Blaze (*Hug*)
Congrats, chic and Blaze!
um...I'm sure it is simple but the or 6/21 is eluding me and frankly, I lack the patience to look for it...anyone feel like enabling me?
Gw ta 6/39 and the two ts5/12's are you up to clues?
It's what a priest is when he becomes one... he is or****ed
Sorry, I meant to add for kristinc -- the or6
ch1212...you're a wonder! Thanks!
You're welcome! Just returning the favor, for the many, many, many....many, many times I've received some assistance. In fact, my icon is a conglomeration of my favorite 'characters' names from Babble. Couldn't get everyone who usually helps with clues, but there are several.
ts's -- put a t in front of the 1st 2 sa4'S
ta6/39 -- ta + 5pt letter + not wet
ch1212...very cool idea, wish I could see it more clearly but I'll take your word for it :)
TY GW! only the last ts s/4 does not validate!
I played earlier today and hurshy (who is one of those mentioned) actually copied and enlarged the photo so she could pick out everyone's names. Greywoulf is there, brandyjack (of course - what would we do without him!) and a bunch of others. Now I'm off to bed -- too sleepy to wait for the flip tonight. Night!
Thank you for the honor, ch1212 --- sleep well :)
g'nite...sleep well
try again, Lucky -- the only difference between the two ts's is the final vowel -- e or i
Evening woulf and whoever is lurking. You realise you are spoiling that kid rotten before I even meet him?
LuckyI had trouble with validations all day and in previous games. Go slower or wait a min and try again. And check, sometimes it says it but listd it anyway.
TY GW 27 More to go... helas will not finish tonight
LOL, hoot -- I always like to make your life tricky, you know that ;) brb -- have to change a diaper
hi hoot, Lucky, refresh...I've had the same problems today especially
Hoot you make me smile again, I thought the validation problem was my slow pc, it is allways good to have people in your stride!
And one night it accepted a word and disallowed it after I left! I thought I had finished and wound up 1 word short! Pain in the arse (good babbler word!)!
Glad to help a fellow sufferer :)
hooty booty!
Hi Kristen
I beg your pardon!
So what do you need? Some of these words are hard to clue but I'll do my best
hoot I'm into my last three s's still figuring out which one I'm missing can you give me a clue to a big one please?
Ok - st 6/21 - how you present yourself to the public, attitude
hoot st6x2 and su 5x1 please
center up - l -d
su + what you open to go into a room, less a vowel
Next would be st 6/24 - MGM sa 5/10 - Nickolas or Francis st 5/10 - st 6/21 minus last consonant
st 5/16 - a bee did it yesterday
1st st6 -- rhymes w/ dance 2nd st6 -- where an artist works, or the smallest apt a person can rent
sa 5/14 - what you put on spagetti st 5/12 - what Mythbusters used to do Where are we?
ty hoot and gw the race cannot be won today!
Seb is all changed & fed -- am just waiting for him to fall asleep so I can turn in as well :)
what's your count?
I just came in to brag about finishing about 8am with only lurking to help
Sorry - pm
Congrats, hoot!
Thank you How far have you gotten Lucky?
Hoot a whole 26 to go:)
