2:26 am

bye MrP, Ren you are more than welcome, as there will be enough to feed a small army!!

2:28 am

I do love yorkshire pudding - my mother used to make it, and declare it a failure every time. Twas yummy though with gravy and roast beast.

2:29 am

i've never had yorkshire pudding, i've only read about it.

2:30 am

mab - have to admit mine are shop bought as they come out perfect everytime and only take a few mins.

2:30 am

You are all making me so very jealous... My grandma is making enchilada casserole, which is basically slimy tortillas with a vaguely americanized mexican flavor. Its really quite not nummy.

2:32 am

sorry knutmeg...and you were giving us all such good desserts the other night!

2:33 am

I'm stopping at 75 words...see ya tomorrow, nite all...

2:34 am

ok chic - enjoy your grilled lamb

2:38 am

Hi all, Happy Easter! I'm stopping at 128 and heading for bed. It's 1:38 am here. Nite!

2:39 am

I will say, thankfully my husband (who is not attending easter dinner due to the fact that he has to be asleep aroudn the same time my grandma is serving dinner because he works so very early the next morning) is preparing a small ham dinner for me to eat later in the night, to make up for the casserole.

2:45 am

LOL knut, how's little Olivia doing?

2:46 am

good afternoon all, hope you all enjoying the easter break

2:46 am

she is doing well. just fell asleep. waiting a few more minutes to make sure she's deeply asleep then putting her in bed and going into my own.

2:49 am

I must be off soon too, allowing myself babble time till 9am (10 more mins).

2:51 am

fmitch - me too, I should be doing it at all as I slept in and don't have time!

2:52 am

LOL Katie, but it is so hard to stay away isn't it :)

3:03 am

Ok going now. See you tomorrow.

3:03 am

Hey, does anybody know how many words there are today??

3:04 am

t 7//32 how many words today?

3:05 am

155 words.

Thanks!

3:11 am

Good morning all.

3:12 am

morning Haz, Im not here been leaving for the last 10 mins and now am really off. Catch you later.

3:13 am

Glad you're still here to say hello to!

3:14 am

morning fmitch, haz, renfield and everyone else

3:14 am

hello all, long time no babble :)

3:14 am

Good morning ruthy.

3:15 am

LOL well, I could stay another 5 mins if you want Haz? Morning ruthy ..... and micamonkey - where have you been???

3:16 am

How have you found the grid so far? At first sight I thought it was going to be awkward but there are some nice words there.

3:17 am

hhmm, well yes some good words but most seem to be deeply buried at the mo, only found 60 so far.

3:18 am

So, break it to me gently then, my optimism is soon to be replaced?

3:19 am

nah, you will be fine, I think Im just not seeing words today as not concentraing fully. :)

3:21 am

I'll not have too long to work at it this morning as I'm cooking lunch - my sister's 50th birthday is today and we're having a little dinner for her.

3:23 am

hi fmitch :) its been a while ive been busy with school can you believe a whole semester of school is almost over since i last came on babble lol

3:23 am

Happy Birthday Haz's sister, Enjoy the grid and have a good day, see you later or tomorrow :)

3:24 am

happy Easter to all!

3:24 am

Okay, FMitch - see you again.

3:24 am

wow mica, knew it had been a while but not that long!!!

3:26 am

i didnt realize it myself till now the last time i came here was around exam time / holidays... and now its exam time again! :P i am seeing a trend here :P

3:26 am

Morning Fmitch. Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday re: family tree, by the time I read your post, you had long gone. I have researched my mothers family back to 1750's in North Oxfordshire villages

3:27 am

hi all :)

3:27 am

Good morning Ex-Wren and Atalante!

3:29 am

I was not going to do this puzzle today, but it has one of my favourite words in it, so I couldn't resist!

3:29 am

ExWren - wow that is good going, we will have to chat sometime. mica - gotta go, good to see you again. Hi Atalante. Hate to run just as everyone is coming on but I have to go *poof*

3:30 am

hi and bye!

3:30 am

Morning Haz, not sure if I am playing again today, I am immersed in my Family Tree at the moment, and I have some free time on Ancestry.com to use

3:30 am

This is where we all start to puzzle what that favourite word might be....

3:31 am

cr6/27 :) perfect arty word

3:31 am

fa4?

3:31 am

Fmitch, my email address is in my profile

3:32 am

I'm glad it's not the poisonous cu6/24!

3:32 am

bum bugle balker

3:33 am

he he! actually, that's a cool word too! I like the way that one sounds. but the ca6 introduced me to the concept of colour as a very small child, and colour has driven my life ever since

3:37 am

Got it!

3:38 am

:)

3:38 am

OMG!!! I actually finished one!! first one ever!!!!

3:39 am

woohoo! congrats!

3:39 am

Well done! The first of many.

3:40 am

WTG Mel! Back for the rest of the babble.

3:40 am

wtg melrinalvn

3:40 am

and there's a *lovely* e7 word

3:41 am

thank you thank you.....now to get back to work!! I am sooo far behind!!

3:41 am

Well, must depart for a while - I'll be back later.

3:46 am

I keep wanting to have cautery

3:47 am

and crafter

3:47 am

I want 'iterant' too.

3:48 am

and if fa4/7 works , why not fa**er

3:49 am

I wondered about that too. I know some of them.

3:50 am

-er words are almost as random as re- words

3:50 am

Does the d8 derive from the d6/24?

3:51 am

Don't have either of them yet, sry.

3:52 am

I cant see how it would ... but I might well be missing some sneaky thing

3:53 am

Got it, and yes, it does!

3:53 am

morning all, Atalante the di8 is a superlative of the di6

3:54 am

oh yes. oops!

3:54 am

A superlative without an S? I am soooo lost on this one.

3:56 am

its not superlative, its a "more di6" thing. can you tell my knowledge of grammar words goes early in the morning? superlative would be "most di6" wouldn't it?

3:56 am

a superlative is an adjective, like the ta7 is to the ta5

3:56 am

but I'm going off French there more than English LOL

3:57 am

Isn't that a comperative then? See, I am getting nowhere today.

3:57 am

It is a superlative if you are only comparing two things

3:57 am

now I want 'dryout' and 'dryouter' to be words.

3:58 am

you've got the right form for the two words there, sprite. just find something more likely than dryout!

3:58 am

And why can Re6/21 not become Re6-ier?

3:59 am

can't it be most or more and can't it be 3 things ie. y, ier , iest?

4:02 am

You can have anything you want sprite, make up a dictionary and we can use that for babble , could be fun and you could leave the k out of the alphabet as well

4:02 am

Oh, wouldn't that be great! :D

4:03 am

Also it puzzles me how often we have the T-O-X combination without any poisonous possibilities.

4:04 am

because you really need TOXI

4:06 am

Yes, that is what is so strange, that there is hardly ever an i in that neighbourhood. And now with that C so close, it catches the eye.

4:07 am

one day tetrodotoxin is going to be in the grid!

4:07 am

morning all happy easter

4:07 am

Oh yes, that would be so nce :)

4:09 am

hi sha!

4:09 am

morning sha

4:09 am

morning ruthy

4:09 am

morning sprite

4:11 am

Tr7/44 is a nice find!

4:19 am

That's two easy grids today. Time for family then :) Have a great day, all of you!

4:19 am

tr7/44? hmmm that must have some interesting letters in

4:30 am

tr-7-44 the act of being absent without permission

4:32 am

good morning all! happy easter! :)

4:35 am

morning bex!

4:50 am

any clues for the tr-5-10

4:52 am

someone attempts to do something could be called a ___

4:53 am

ty bex

4:53 am

thanx bex thats me finished

4:53 am

thats me finished

4:54 am

5:53 am

hi joycee... welcome to Babble :)

5:54 am

gotta go... be back later... have fun :) :)

6:11 am

Good morning all. Happy Easter and Pesach to everyone. All the food talk this morning has made me ravenous. Thoughts of breakfast out. Anyway, the ta7 has got me stumped. Any hints?

6:11 am

hi eva - think later for the ta7

6:12 am

Thanks Atalante! That did it. Why couldn't I see that before?

6:12 am

its too obvious ;) obvious words are always invisible

6:14 am

6:26 am

Eva - howsabout chucking a few cluez moviemanwards for those 7's you already have....... Thanx......

6:26 am

Merp has begun his dying of hunger routine, so I'll have to leave soon.

6:27 am

Happy Easter, everyone : )

6:28 am

un 7/36

6:29 am

movieman the tr 7= if u dont go to school but your meant to it could be classed as ________

6:30 am

yu 4/7 -- Chinese money yu 4/7 -- Asian tent

6:30 am

sure thing: ar7/36-Atalante just gave clue ci7/32-think cloud beginning + detest minus the "h" ending er7/40 - think doing an er____(shopping, picking up the laundry, etc)but change the last consonant and add and ending ta 7/32-both ta's have the same root, the ta5 we've been discussing re lateness ta7/40 tr7/44 - missing school a lot

6:30 am

a clue for the ta7/40? please?

6:31 am

the second ta7 ends in the opp of off.

6:31 am

yu 5/16 is the previous yu 4/7 with a vowel at the end

6:32 am

ARB_-boker tov. Could you spare a third letter clue for that un?

6:32 am

thanks Eva :)

6:32 am

eva - think the most unlikely c5 to add to the un, and add it!

6:33 am

Boker or -- un + a word for a large wooden box

eva - still can't get that er7.....

6:33 am

6:34 am

er7 - as Era said, rhyme it with the tr7

6:34 am

Eva -- where in Vermont do you live? We have a daughter,son-in-law and granddaughter in Burlington. Doctor son-in-law is doing a residency at Fletcher Allen

6:34 am

This cooking Easter lunch is interfering with my babble time !!!

6:36 am

Caitlyn, I have a good excuse, waiting for my husband to go to the store... not that we wait til the last minute or anything...

6:36 am

ARB_neat. I'm only 45 minutes from them. Fletcher Allen is our "big" hospital. If you want to look on the map, I'm in Adamant, a teeny town near Montpelier. I go into Burlington about once a week. Where are you in Israel?

6:36 am

sounds like it should be a sub-atomic particle

6:37 am

ta7/40 ta5/16 + opposite of off

6:37 am

ta7/40 is a particle which travels slower than the speed of light -- as opposed to a tachyob which travels faster that the speed of light :) Hi all -- Happy Easter -- will chat more in a bit -- feeding SEb :)

6:38 am

Thanx all for those cluez..... Now, the 8 would be useful.....

6:38 am

Wolf-does Seb get chocolate formula today?

6:38 am

Hi all! Have been lurking, but had to comment on that ta7/40 - what on earth is that? Maybe what Wayne & Garth say when they're late...?

6:38 am

oops, tachyON, not ob :D

6:38 am

di8 - add 2 letters to your di6

6:39 am

the 8 is a common word. The ending is one of those more so things.

6:40 am

Atalante - what's the di6.......

6:40 am

Eva - We live in the middle of Tel Aviv, a block from the city hall (and the large square in front of it) and we walk to everything -- beach, opera, theaters, concerts. Not Central Park West, but very urban!

6:40 am

Hi amandacath and greyW hey jera just give him chocolate and wine

6:40 am

movie-if you were lost and asked me how to get somewhere I would di____ you.

Hi, GreyWoulf!!!!

7:03 am

Thanx, amanda..... *SLAP!!!!!!!!!!*

7:04 am

G'mornin', peri!!

7:10 am

Woulfie - ther's a cr10 that uses the x...... Whoops, that's given the game away........

7:10 am

x used in at least one word Grey

7:10 am

I've found 2 so far where the x is used, GW

7:11 am

Whoops, again!!!!!!!! That should be cr11......

7:11 am

Good, then it isn't a waste -- I think it is a waste to have one of the lesser used letters in the grid, unless it is used in at least one word :) I'm just weird that way ;D

7:14 am

time for a break, are the supermarkets open today?

7:14 am

lol, movieman, but it's Easter, not April Fools today ;)

7:15 am

I am not sure, peri -- I think maybe until around 2 -- the safest bet would be to call the store to confirm

7:21 am

7:23 am

There's an un 4/5

7:59 am

ou 6/21 - to move faster in a race

7:59 am

Hi All. I just started but I have used the x once (in a c word)

8:40 am

it's also used in a 'r' word

omg I can't believe the word I just found, it has to be the word I hate must in the english language

8:41 am

8:53 am

A clue please for the first RE 5/12 word?

8:55 am

8:56 am

Not sure if it is the first but use the first four letters for the medical term for rear end + 1 vowel.

8:56 am

I have that one already. It has to be earlier than REF

8:57 am

Happy Easter to all!! Family is waking so now I get to do the breakfast thing -- see you all later!! (*Easter Hugs*)

8:57 am

bye GW. Have a terrific Easter.

8:57 am

bye greywoulf have a good day

8:57 am

then it would appear the only option is rec

8:58 am

Re5/12 is actually the plural of the anal canal.

8:58 am

add the way the British say thank you to what hurshy just said

8:58 am

see, rec! :)

8:59 am

Except I don't know how the British say thank you

9:00 am

9:00 am

rec+t* t* for now.

9:00 am

9:15 am

That's a good riddle Hurshy. I'll have to ponder it. Will also share with Sarah and Greg.

9:16 am

i fear that "no" is what was intended - that someone just wanted to torture people... :( but with all these fine babble minds at work, who knows?

9:17 am

No is a good answer, but there might be another one...

9:18 am

i hope so!! :)

9:21 am

UN 7/36 please?

9:21 am

take out of the box merk.

9:22 am

to take something out of its shipping container

9:23 am

Thanks, my tries had been endless.

9:27 am

Good Morning. Hurshy, I can't find your riddle? Is that part of the mystery?

9:28 am

Happy Easter everyone.

9:35 am

anyone have the ta7/40?

9:36 am

no but now i will look!!

9:36 am

add the op of off to the ta5/16

9:37 am

I know it should be obvious to me Hurshy. I have all the other ta words. I'm going to beat myself when I find it.

9:37 am

cool, that was going to be my first guess

9:37 am

okay well it wasn't *that* obvious but I should have been able to work the numbers.

9:38 am

ty

9:44 am

DONE...anyone need a clue?? Just for you hurshy

could someone pls give me a clue for the dr 5/12 can't figure it out

9:44 am

9:44 am

dr5/12...more dry

9:45 am

I'm not there Sheryl. I'm working backwards.

ty ouw

9:48 am

any clues for ta7/4o

9:49 am

add the opp of off to the 5/16 ta

9:49 am

Hurshy i looked at the riddle, and so far no answer ,are you setting a time limit on it ,cause its cooking time for me ,so i thought after, i could spend some time on it . happy Easter to all Babblers

9:51 am

no time limit, my sister just wants a better answer than the ones that have been suggested. we don't feel satisfied with those solutions - but we don't have a better one!

9:52 am

ta 7/40 first half of word is to be late and the second halff is the opposite of off

9:52 am

as a math teacher, i object to that clue, ARB :)

9:52 am

I need help with my last word... it's a fr??? I have: fr5/18 fr4/7 fr6/27 fr4/9 fr4 /7 What am I missing? I haven't used the list yet and am trying sooo hard not to :)

9:53 am

fr 5/16 french for brother

9:54 am

Got it hursh! Thanks!! :)

9:55 am

up for some guess-what-hurshy-is-missing? it's a little early, but...

9:55 am

Hurshy -- you're right, of course -- if I knew what the word meant I would have given a definition instead of playing with sections of the word

9:55 am

would love to hurshy :)

9:55 am

I like your riddle, hursh. Just posted my guess. Happy Easter, everybody : )

9:55 am

I can try Hurshy.

9:56 am

oh i don't object to the sectioning of words - only calling 5/7 and 2/7 halves :)

9:56 am

well, i need one more d

9:56 am

brb hurshy - want to check out your riddle :)

9:57 am

8 - di words (one of them is an 8) 3 - dr words

9:57 am

yeah, babbler, we thought of air or gas... also light, science, tv, hollywood, fame, vanity... :)

9:57 am

aha, i don't have the 8

9:58 am

silly me! got it.

9:58 am

It's creative partitioning -- remember which part of the word I live in !!!!

9:58 am

nice riddle hurshy... I'll have to ponder that a bit :)

9:59 am

alrighty, i also need one more f, which apparently is NOT an fr

10:00 am

fa5/22?

10:00 am

four fa and four fe words.

10:00 am

Do you have the disagreeable fa?

10:00 am

Hi Everyone, how obsure are the words today?

10:01 am

five points to mac!

10:01 am

Yay me, lol

10:01 am

This is a very friendly grid Ginger.

10:01 am

(mm, the game is more to GUESS what i would miss - if you just tell me how many of each right off the bat, then i might as well get the list. but thank you! :) )

10:02 am

and yes ARB, i did have the disagreeable one :)

10:02 am

sorry :-(( I'm working backwards so I don't have any of those yet. I'm lame and went to the list right off today.

10:02 am

you get five points when you guess correctly. more if it is my very last word.

10:03 am

it's ok mm, i just thought i might as well explain the game. :)

10:03 am

Absolutely - knowing the rules help.

10:03 am

missing one N as well.

10:03 am

I tend to ignore it -- that's why I asked

10:03 am

and sometimes, brownies :) made from scratch!

10:04 am

oh yes, brownies for a prize if you perform especially well on a given day :)

10:04 am

n 6/24 -- far northern Europe

10:04 am

5 points for ARB, fish for me!

10:05 am

A Passover brownie will do.

10:05 am

two a's, one from each box

10:05 am

how does a passover brownie differ from a regular brownie?

10:06 am

right off to finish cooking the turkey bye everyone :)

10:06 am

ar7/36?

10:07 am

5 points to mac! now i just gotta find it.

10:07 am

Not made with regular flour -- can't have baking soda or baking popwder -- Passover is all about avoiding leavened bread and anything associated with bread and rising dough. Therefore Passover brownies are made from finely ground matza crumbs and are to be avoided for 51 weeks of the year.

10:08 am

hmm... then, ARB, perhaps you'd rather have a nice apple.

10:08 am

Healthy and keeps the doctors away, too

10:08 am

is it related to the 6/24?

10:08 am

sounds delicious ARB :p I wish we had proper smilies on here sometimes!

10:09 am

ARB - is it matza or matzah? Whichever it is... I love it

10:10 am

No hurshy - I got it from an earlier clue - it's a word I'm not familiar with

10:10 am

oh, I just found the mode of transport we used last weekend :-)

10:10 am

can anyone help me with ht ro 4,10 please?

10:11 am

golly gee, then i guess i will need a clue mode of transport??? pondering that too...

10:11 am

It's a Hebrew word -- so you're writing a foreign word as you hear it in English. Adding the h at the end should maks you pout the emphasis on the last syllable, which is the proper Hebrew way to pronounce the word.

10:11 am

thick mixture of butter and flour used for stews.

10:11 am

ro 4/10 when cooking, to make many sauces, you start with a ro4/10

10:12 am

ar 7/36 starts with a curve and then sounds something like very very correct

10:12 am

got it thank you all

10:13 am

Good afternoon Hurshy, and Jac if you are still there. Happy Easter to you all

10:13 am

Hi ExWren :)

10:13 am

happy easter to you, o venerable exwren

10:15 am

50 words left but I must go and do some prep for the day. Not only Easter here but Greg's birthday as well. Probably be back later. Happy Day everyon!

10:15 am

how about this hurshy... a curve + I believe * (not I) *** the whole thing

10:16 am

ooops, *can't believe...

10:16 am

Mac. That was a most excellent clue. Now I'm going - really.

10:17 am

i see, so ARB meant the whole thing sounded like something very correct. ty all!

10:17 am

ty musicmom.... bye :)

10:18 am

ok then, how about the one from the middle A?

10:19 am

ar6/24?

10:19 am

is there more than one?

10:19 am

no

10:20 am

then mac, you lose points for forgetting that i asked if the 7 was related to that and thus clearly i have it (i tease, of course)

10:20 am

ar5/12?

10:21 am

yes you did hurshy - my bad for not paying attention :/

10:21 am

ding ding ding, 5 points back to mac!

10:22 am

:)

10:22 am

hmm... this is a tricky little bugger... lot of possibilities

10:23 am

I see (a clue of sorts) heh

10:25 am

this word has been in grids before

10:26 am

an4/4 anyone?

10:26 am

i'm dumb today though

10:26 am

an + 2 vowels, ginger

10:27 am

ugh, i DO remember that from recent grids. fish for me.

10:27 am

thanks mac!

10:27 am

welcome ginger hurshy... go northwest

10:28 am

i got it mac, never fear.

10:28 am

nm hurshy - and YAY to you!

10:29 am

10:30 am

the box with 9 r's. in the third row.

10:32 am

that is a challenging one :)

10:33 am

ra6/33?

10:34 am

5 points, now let's see if you got the right box...

10:35 am

ah, you would have gotten extra points if it had been the right box... but you get your five anyway since i didn't have that one :)

10:35 am

Happy Easter Everyone! Missed some Babbling yesterday, hope you are all enjoying a great holiday.

10:36 am

10:36 am

I'm back, everyone!!!!! Had to leave all for some time, as I lost the connection to the net..... Anyway, long story short.....the ar6/24 plz.....

10:36 am

5 more points, but still not the right box! :) :) :)

10:36 am

Hi Aloyisius :)

10:36 am

movieman not vein but...

10:37 am

aloyisius is the name of snuffleupagus and also theo huxtable's middle name.

10:37 am

10:37 am

can someone pls give me a clue for the tr 6/27

10:38 am

Hi, mac - just popping in to show my sis-in-law this game - betcha she gets addicted! (-:

Is it me or is this grid just murder?

10:38 am

10:39 am

10:39 am

cu6/24 can be used for murder, yes leigh

10:39 am

Aloyisius - Babble is like a Venus Fly Trap..... It draws you in, then...... *SNAP!!!!!!*

10:40 am

there are 2 tr6/27's

*snicker* Thanks hurshy. You make me feel so much better.

10:40 am

Movieman - you are soooooooo right!! (-:

10:41 am

5 more points to mac then! wow, must get on the ball

Ooo...dirty word on the board!

10:42 am

hurshy - I don't want to insult you by asking if you have the 'ro' that is the color of a horse :/

10:42 am

Leigh - I don't know if this reflects my personality or not, but that was one of the first words I spotted.......

10:42 am

i do have it mac...

10:43 am

then I am stumped as to what you are missing

10:43 am

if there's an ry...?

I'm sure it might say something. But I don't know if that means that you're mean and you might say that, or if you're just really...horny.

10:44 am

there are no ry's

10:45 am

11:17 am

Good morning/afternoon all.

Don't ask me movie, sorry. I've only got 40 words.

11:17 am

Seems logical but we can't have cert or cran either today

Hey Haz.

11:17 am

Movieman - re5/12 - plural of latin word to do with posterior!

11:17 am

Hi Hazel

11:18 am

Hello spellit, leighprefect and everyone else!

11:19 am

Oh, ARSE!!!!!!......LOL Thanx, Haz.....

11:19 am

And I was being SO polite!

11:20 am

ar5/12? I think I have gone word blind!

11:21 am

ar5/12 - is a plus an anagram of ri4/5

11:23 am

er6 and 7 hints?

11:25 am

er6 - is French for 'wandering' - often used in relation to someone who is a little misguided

11:25 am

the tr6/27 - do they both start with the same three letters?

11:26 am

The er 7 - relates to the previous 6 in same way that tr6 (the school avoider) relates to tr 7 ( the act of avoiding school)

11:26 am

Thanks haz but I don't have the ri either LOL

11:26 am

No, Atalante - the tr 6/27 moves on alphabetically in the third letter.

11:27 am

I do now though...LOL :-)

11:27 am

ri4 - the produce of the paddy field.

11:27 am

thanks Haz!

11:27 am

Happy Easter Babblers (*^_^*)

11:27 am

You're welcome, Atalante.

11:28 am

Hi Haz - hows the grid today?

11:28 am

I still don't understand that er6 hazel?:(

11:29 am

Well, I haven't had a lot of time with it but it's okay. Some interesting words - definitely do-able (she says, not having finished yet)

11:29 am

The 2nd tr5/10 plz.....

11:29 am

LOL

11:29 am

Freckle - er plus ra4/4 to scream or rage at someone.

11:30 am

Been stuck on ar 7/36 for an hour, can anyone help?

11:31 am

Hiya, faerie...... What's happening your side of the pond, then....

11:31 am

Movieman - I haven't been able to find that second tr 5/10 so I can't help you.

11:32 am

MM-It is a beautiful day here. Only 55 degrees but the sun is shinning and the flowers are blooming. I may even go out and mow my lawn a little later. And over there. How are things?

11:32 am

Ren - I have that one.......

11:33 am

ar7/36 - first three letters, variation of the spelling of Noah's ship, last vowel, then past tense of eat.

got it, haz, thanks

11:34 am

I'm seeing obscure words that I shouldn't even know but they have been the grids so many times that the jump right out. Thats sad...I must get a life LOL

11:34 am

Good!

11:34 am

Faerie - not too bad at all..... Just preparing for tomorrow's football matches, which, if results go the way that I and millions of other Blues fans want, could see Chelsea clinch the title WITHOUT having to worry about the match against Manchester United in a few days....

11:35 am

mm - there is another tr 5/10 before it - to attempt to do something - there are only 2 tr 5/10's is that the one you need?

11:36 am

Thanks renfield!

11:36 am

some help on the fe's?

11:36 am

GO CHEALSEA, MM- that is fantastic. I'll be rooting them on from here. Sounds like you guys were nearly robbed (by others cheating) from what I've heard on the sports channels.

11:36 am

11:37 am

11:53 am

TY Haz & Renfield!

11:54 am

Ishult -- only one more use of the x. Spellit -- I mistyped -- it should be yu 5/16

11:55 am

Hi Mab - No kidding - I feel like a new person. I actually slept last night. Where before it would wake up feeling like I was smothering. But Babbler helped me or I would still be thinking I was going crazy or just trying to live with her.

11:56 am

ci7/32 please?

11:56 am

ish - r 4 uses the x

11:58 am

ish - cajun cooks use it to thicken their liquids for gumbos, etc.

11:58 am

I don't know what's gone on faerie but I am pleased you are happier.... it really shows!

11:59 am

as a cook I should have gotten that r4, thanks ren

11:59 am

I only started this grid about an hour ago, and was going great guns, until I hit the re's! Did I ever tell you I hate the re's? I think I might have mentioned it before!

11:59 am

ci7/32 - resembles words that have been in the grid recently concerning cutting, and the types of edges on knives.

11:59 am

Ginger - Thank you - I'm great...and no one can take that away from me. Happy Easter :)

12:00 pm

LOL - yw ish

12:00 pm

12:00 pm

Happy Easter everyone. I am stuck on the T letter in the bottom row. Any clues? HELP, I'm new, but trying. Geneva

12:04 pm

There's a ty 4/6 meaning apprentice

12:05 pm

rumple, think of a dictator. I think that's the only word from that t.

12:05 pm

Rumple - Wish I could help but I don't have it yet but Happy Easter to you and Welcome to the madness :)

12:05 pm

12:05 pm

rumple - car**** network

12:06 pm

an absolute ruler maybe the one you are looking for rumple

12:06 pm

no, there are two from that t, but I have only one.

12:06 pm

rumple - you mean like the ty's? there's a ty who is a dictator type person

12:06 pm

And ty6/24 is a dictator

12:07 pm

ty4/6 - ends in a vowel, means an apprentice - sometimes spelt with a ti.

12:09 pm

The t on the bottom right is short for an animated story, as in the movies or a comic book.

mo & atalante, thanks, I have those 2. I need one more t from the lower left corner. GA

Emtza Tel Aviv -- 150 meters from the Iriya

12:22 pm

My daughter and son-in-law were planning to move to Ketura a few years ago, but he decided to become a doctor after being a medic for 6 months in the army. They are now in Vermont where he's ending his internship and beginnng his residency.

12:22 pm

I'm way down south, 40 km before Eilat. Just had the most amazing down pour of rain. To think that yesterday our pool opened!!

12:23 pm

sounds like our loss.

12:24 pm

100 words down, but really struggling to find new words!!

12:25 pm

We're not giving up hope yet -- they could come back!

12:26 pm

ru5 and 6 help!?!

12:27 pm

ARB - this is a really embarrassing question because you'll probably roll your eyes and think I'm a dumb westerner - but I would *love* to visit Tel Aviv, I've heard so many things about it (and I'd love to visist some friends in Beirut but that's a different matter) but is it safe now? My husband doesn't like visiting places in the Middle East ... he thinks he's going to be blown up the second he steps foot off the plane ...

12:27 pm

Ish: do you know that there is another two-letter list at Angelsongs Babble Paee and Lickety's clues? (links at right)

12:28 pm

hey, it's never too late. We could always use a new Doctor down here.

12:29 pm

ru5 help

12:30 pm

mab- yee, found it while BJ's list was down. Haven't gobne to it yet today, probably will in the morning.

12:31 pm

can anyone give me clues for the cu5/14 words? I have something a doctor does +t and +r, but I'm missing the last one...

12:32 pm

oh,good Ish; wasn't sure if you knew.

12:32 pm

Does anyone know if there are any words missing from Lickietys clue list today?

12:32 pm

Atalante- shouldn't let TV reports put you off. Nowhere is 100% safe anymore (including the US). If you think too much about it you'd never leave your couch. Israel is a great place for a holiday.

12:33 pm

hi, everyone| Happy Easter!!

12:33 pm

albo - look at yr last cu4/6 and make it more so. Hi all :)

12:33 pm

gotta go now, 24 is starting, don't want to miss it. Later

12:34 pm

Hoppy Ishtar

12:35 pm

Ishult - you are 100% correct there. If you want to travel, do it. I feel like if it is my time to leave this earth it is my time. I fly every couple of months and I've never been afraid. Not to Israel of course but given the chance I'd be there in a heart beat.

12:35 pm

oh I know! I've been to my fair share of places one probably shouldn't go to if you're worried about safety. My husband stresses though! I would love to have a huge holiday in the Middle-east - Israel and Jordan and I'd love to go into Palestine as well. I'd love to go to Iraq as well, but I'm not entirely sure that'sa good idea at the moment!!!!

12:36 pm

3:27 pm

3:28 pm

I had to leave a good few hours ago but am back, determined to finish this time!

3:29 pm

well, in that case, could i have a clue for any of the er words?

3:29 pm

Hi there everyone! Happy Easter ... again... I'm going to try to finish! Busy day, though, so feeling rather brain-dead!

3:30 pm

er5 man stands... er6 an er6 knave er7 the state the knave is in

3:31 pm

er6 - means 'wandering' in French and in English it means a misguided person. er7 - is the noun relating to it. If you have the school avoiding tr6 and tr7 (the avoiding of school) then the er 7 has the same ending

3:32 pm

I am missing the second di5/14.... any hints please???also missing 3 of the cu6/24!!!

3:33 pm

thanks! hate to be greedy, but now how about af5?

3:33 pm

di 5/14 beginning of what you do to your secretary cu6's - a poison change last letter of poison what you do if you run a museum more abrupt

3:34 pm

The last cu6/24 is the easiest to find, being a clergyman (of lowly position). The first one, differing in the second to last letter, is a poison, and the second one differs in the last vowel used.

3:34 pm

a person plying with death

3:35 pm

af5 not before

3:35 pm

thanks!

3:37 pm

thanks, I'll work on them... it could be the first di5/14... I have the one that also is the root of the 6.

3:37 pm

ginger - the root of the 6? neither of them are that...

3:39 pm

oh lord, it's one of those day, meant root of the ... oh never mind LOL I'll look closer!!! I know what I meant LOL

3:40 pm

can anyone help me with the tr6/27s?

3:40 pm

I have it now so we can just ignore my lousy clue asking!!

3:41 pm

tr6/27 - an adjective relating to the preceding fishy tr5

3:42 pm

tr6/21 schoolboy who stays away from school

3:42 pm

yes..bad student.. tr 6

3:43 pm

got the poison and lowly clegyman!

3:43 pm

I cant believe they allow the c word..

3:43 pm

sorry you want the 27's - first is decidedly fishy - use the rainbow fish

3:44 pm

clergyman and museum - same word, diff takes, don't think there are 2, ok? :)

3:45 pm

I thought it was a word ending in or that related to the museum person?

3:45 pm

Haz1558--thanks for some oh-so-clever clues. And thanks also Hershy for yours--and for the teasing riddle. What minds you babblers have.

3:45 pm

For the other tr6/27 drop the non-vowel into your tr5 fish

3:46 pm

haz, um, what? i was just saying that i gave a museum clue for the word that is a clergyman, and i didn't want people to find it and then be looking for some other word that isn't there.

3:47 pm

I initially saw it as relating to museum but then realised when I tried to enter it twice!!! :/

3:47 pm

fr5/18 and fr5/16 anyone

3:47 pm

museum... more the action than the person iykwim

3:48 pm

how bout the OO word?

3:49 pm

done!

3:49 pm

got the fr5/16 now need the fr5/18 please

3:50 pm

harp - the oo word has been in puzzles before, it is similar to : eerie

3:50 pm

fr5/18 is the former currency of France.

3:50 pm

thanks peri!

3:53 pm

thanks, Haz, was looking in the wrong direction

3:53 pm

thank you- got the fishy 6/27 but cannot get second clue

3:53 pm

Glad to help., periwinkle.

3:54 pm

fr6/27 anyone

3:55 pm

last fr4/7 please

and that's me.....finished! :-D

3:55 pm

found the last fe4/7 thought I had typed it in already

periwinkle.....last 'fr4,7' is one of the thin metal bars that go horizontally through the neck of a guitar or electric bass ;-)

or......to worry

3:57 pm

thanks,. Mikey, I found it right before I saw your post Congrats on finishing. I can see the finish line - 39 words to go.

and the last 'fr4/7' is a homonym for a big cargo ship

you're very welcome, periwinkle; and thanks.....ja; i'm starting to get 'the hang' of this more and more, thank goodness! :-P

3:59 pm

Mikey - congratulations on finishing!

3:59 pm

Mikey, can you give me a clue for the fr6/27?

thank you, Hazel :-)

i did yesterday, too.....also without bugging you all for clues! ;-)

4:00 pm

clue for second di5,14?

4:00 pm

nevermind, found the fr6/27

ja; i did already, periwinkle.....a homonym for a big cargo ship ;-)

oh, lol; ok, periwinkle! :-)

ok, cdn_in_va; think of the prefix for that 'phone' the court stenographers use?

4:02 pm

MIkey you gave a clue for the fr6/27 but said it was for fr4/7 so it was a little confusing :)

4:03 pm

I have the ir5/10, need help with the other two

4:04 pm

Well I've at last managed to crawl over the finishing line - didn't break the tape - more got all tangled up in it. Bad day today, must be better tomorrow?

periwinkle; i gave the 'guitar' or 'worry' clue for the 'fr4,7' ?

4:05 pm

ir6 is comparative of ir5 and ir4 is to press

4:05 pm

peri, more of the ir5, and a household appliance that I am allergic to!

ok, periwinkle..... 'ir6,18' = 'angrier' 'ir4,4' = 'mineral'

4:06 pm

MIkey check your 2 posts at 3:58

4:06 pm

Well, spellit, what is it that Scarlett used to say ' After all, tomorrow IS another day!'

4:07 pm

Can't argue with that Haz

oh, sheesh; sorry periwinkle....seems i accidentally pasted the one i copied for the 'guitar' clue there again..... :-/ maybe i should just give up and go to bed :-( dead tired!

4:08 pm

the two ur's that aren't chemistry-related

4:09 pm

Mikey and harpjane, thanks, don't know why I didn't see those i words myself. harp I am allergic to anything that has to do with cleaning . I cleaned the bedroom last week only because I could write my name in the dust on the bureau 8-)

4:09 pm

Mikey, what time is it where you are? It is 5 pm Sun here

ach!!! :-/ dust??? oh no; can't be doing with that!!! *shudder* :-P ja; i'm a bit of a clean freak!

it's currently 11:09 pm, Michele :-) we're heading to bed very shortly here

4:10 pm

come on over Mikey, any time. I'll babble while you clean my house!

harpjane.....sorry; but that would be a long way to travel just to clean your place, and we have our own to do.....that's enough work, thank you! :-P

4:12 pm

ta7/32 and ta7/40?

4:13 pm

ta 7/32 - later

4:14 pm

ta 7/32 - is a comparative adjective meaning being more delayed. ta7/40 uses the late or delayed adjective itself, and puts a preposition on the end

harpjane; 'ta7,40' = same as word above it, only 'later.....on'

4:15 pm

na5/12

4:15 pm

The ur 5/12 words mirror exactly the construction of the corresponding cu6/24 words - clues were given earlier on.

actually, maybe that wasn't cryptic enough; but i really couldn't think how to give a clue for that :-/

4:16 pm

na5/12 - add the first letters of President Nixon's name.

4:16 pm

thanks Haz

Michele, 'na5,12' has the same first 3 letters as the preceding word, plus a descriptive type of suffix

4:17 pm

thanks. ta7/40 sound like something from Wayne's World....

4:18 pm

Mikey, please call me periwinkle here

4:18 pm

tr6/27, not the fishy one?

so sorry, periwinkle :-/

4:20 pm

tr6/27 - is made up of two words which could mean to roadtest a vehicle, or put a player in a new position.

4:23 pm

thanks. one last t and I'm taking a break! the very first ta5/10?

4:23 pm

first tr 5,10?

4:24 pm

ta5/10 - looks like a Spanish or Italian word for much. First three letters - to bronze in sun, then preposition ending.

4:24 pm

tr5/10, someone who attempts

4:25 pm

The first tr5/10 - one who attempts

4:25 pm

for the life of me I can't see the no4/4

4:26 pm

thanks for the clues. break time!

4:26 pm

no4/4 is an anagram of French for black. If someone else was having difficulty in finding the word, they could also say this.

4:26 pm

peri is it the no 4/4 -- seaweed?

4:27 pm

Haz, thanks, I know that word, it is in lots of puzzles, means some type of seaweed used sushi.

4:27 pm

yep aknitter, found it

4:27 pm

no6,24?

4:28 pm

My daughter needs the computer, so I'll have to go. Happy hunting!

4:28 pm

oa5/10?

4:28 pm

cdn, think of a Scandanavian country

4:28 pm

Bye, Haz, thanks for your help

4:29 pm

thanx periwinkle... 10 words left

4:29 pm

oa -- hot breakfast cereal ingredient end it in er

4:30 pm

cdn- glad to help - I still have 31 words left

4:30 pm

any hints on the oo?

4:30 pm

aknitter, I tried that spelling earlier and it would accept it, but it did now, very frustrating

4:30 pm

oo word is similiar to eerie

4:32 pm

di5/12?

4:33 pm

Does someone want to volunter to do my ironing, pretty please?

4:34 pm

di5,12 is more than the di4,5

4:34 pm

cdn- just found the di5 right before I saw your clue, thanks

4:36 pm

Bunny - Easter's not over yet! Still Monday to go. We had my O/h's parents' here for dinner earlier, and his daughter is with us for a few days. (She's 11.) My two (19 & nearly 23) didn't join us for the early dinner as they'd been out the night before, but they were around and about later.

9:21 pm

Scatty - ro6/21 clue.

9:22 pm

going to have to go, my spacer is sticking really badly, see you all tomorrow, have a nice day

9:22 pm

ro6/18 - what a lion can be.

Sounds fun. Your a better woman than me, don't think I could pull off two days of this. So much cooking! I made your Bailey's cheesecake from the recipe on Bab Anon. They loved it!!

9:24 pm

'Bye, Scatty. Your keyboard needs cleaning, by the sound of it. Don't forget to do a diagram of the keys BEFORE you pull them all off to clean it.

Bye Scatty

9:25 pm

Bunny - Did you? That's nice to hear! It went down well with Haz's guests, too. Have you tried the cappuccino on yet?

No, I didn't see that one, but I'll definately try it! I have a cappacino cake I make that I love! We're having a potluck next weekend, it'll be something new to try.

9:26 pm

Bunny - I sometimes get a bit worried when I don't hear anything back on my recipe thread. I do try out all my recipes (most of which are either inventions of my own or recipes I have adapted to suit our tastes). It's so nice to hear when people have enjoyed one.

I probably have a few I need to stick on there, but I'm lousy at giving instructions, half the time I don't even measure, I just pour. Hard to write that down, lol. I need to take the time and go through the other recipies, feels like I'm making the same meals over and over.

9:29 pm

Mind you, having said that, personal tastes differ. I did the beefburgers (see recipe on thread) last week and changed the tabasco sauce to BBQ sauce. I didn't like it. I thought tomato ketchup would have tasted better. However, son and O/H thought they were perfect.

9:29 pm

just changed the keyboard, have plugged an old one in now, i knew i had kept it for a reason

9:30 pm

Scatty - we keep keyboards, too. LOL.

9:31 pm

where do i find the recipes then

9:31 pm

Bunny - next time you're making your fave meals make sure you pour into the measuring pan of your scales (or cup measures).

There is a thread on Bab Anon.

9:32 pm

Scatty - On BabAnon, Other Interests thread.

omg - pleeeeeease stop talking about food - i am still so full from dinner that it hurts even thinking about it --- too much good food, too little will power :)

9:32 pm

Helen - Dare we ask what you ate?

I will, I have two cakes I definately have to put up there. I end up making three of each every holiday. I need to find a good recipie for some easy divinity, i've tried afew from other sites and didn't like the way they tasted.

9:33 pm

...And as for 'will' power, I still don't think they should call it that. It is most definately called having no 'won't' power!

Helen, no more food filled holidays til Thanksgiving!! Eat up!!

9:35 pm

'Easy divinity'? You've lost me there, Bunny. What do you mean? What kind of cake are you looking for?

lol - more like what didn't i eat - there was the obligatory ham & pineapples, & also turkey & roast beef, then sweet potatoes, baked potatoes & carrots & onions with the roast, potato salad, cole slaw, cauliflower in cheese & butter, creamed corn, salad, puerto rican rice, broccoli, biscuits, & i'm sure i'm forgetting more

lol jac --- won't power -- i just love that!

9:36 pm

Helen - you still haven't told us what you DID eat.

ps - for dessert .... french silk pie, assorted eli's cheesecakes, ice cream, cream puffs, poppy seed cake (my favorite) & banana creme pie

I'm not looking for a cake, looking for divinity. The only divinity recipie I have has to cook for an hour. I know there is a recipie for something a little easier to make out there somewhere.

9:38 pm

Bunny - being an 'ignorant' Brit., I have no idea what a divinity recipe is... please elucidate.

lol jac - no i did eat some of everything -- that's why i'm so stuffed, but bunny's right, nothing like this coming again for a long time, so no guilt, just a very full belly

9:39 pm

Helen, Bunny - are you Jewish girls?

Sorry, it's a fluffy white candy with chopped nuts in it. It's really rich but a real pain in the rear to make!

I'm not.

jac - i believe divinity is a southern thing - very creamy right? with pineapple?

9:39 pm

I'm back, i was kicked off the internet by my sister

jac - what makes you ask that? about the being jewish?

9:40 pm

bunny - try this: http://www.cooksrecipes .com/candy/heavenly-divinity-r ecipe.html

Yeah, sometimes they stick pineapple in it. We southerners don't care to watch our waistlines!

9:41 pm

happy easter, folks! ar 7/36?

9:41 pm

Helen & Bunny, thanks for your answers. Helen - I asked the Jewish thing because I thought you might have been fasting and then feasting.

9:42 pm

Happy Easter, LeslieAnn!!!! sorry, though - not doing the grid....

ar + word meaning adorable (add the first vowel right in the middle of the adorable word)

9:42 pm

Happy Easter, LA. ar7 = curved, like a bow.

lol bunny - however do you fit in those hoop skirts then?

9:43 pm

after playing this game for a half an hour or so i only have a score of 269

9:43 pm

Mama - Have I said 'Hello' to you yet? If not, I apolgise!

Hehe, Helen, we only wear them to hide our large posteriors!

9:44 pm

thanks bunny! rseid, have you tried the lickety's babble clues link to the right? it is very helpful.

ah jac, but don't forget that catholics also have been observing lent & fasting ( or more modernly, foregoing) for 40 days - but alas, no religiocity excuse for me - pure gluttony instead :)

And thank you mama bear, that one looks alittle less complex than the one I have. I'll whip out a batch tomorrow and see how it tastes.

9:44 pm

no

9:44 pm

Bunny - does that mean you hate the inventor(s) or Lycra then? LOL.

ROFL bunny !!!!!!

9:44 pm

Heavenly Divinity 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup light corn syrup 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 large egg whites 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted Garnish: toasted pecan halves

9:45 pm

Cook first 4 ingredients in a heavy 2-quart saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves and a candy thermometer registers 248*F (120*C), about 15 minutes. Remove syrup mixture from heat. Beat egg whites at high speed with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Pour half of hot syrup in a thin stream over egg whites, beating constantly at high speed, about 5 minutes. Cook remaining half of syrup over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer registers 272*F (130*C), about 4 to 5 minutes. Slowly pour hot syrup and vanilla extract over egg white mixture, beating constantly at high speed until mixture holds its shape (about 6 to 8 minutes). Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans. Drop mixture quickly by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased wax paper. Garnish, if desired. Cool. Makes 4 dozen (1 3/4 pounds).

happy easter leslie !

9:45 pm

Hi Jac!!!!! Posted the recipe in case anyone else was curious!

9:46 pm

Mama - please post it on my recipes thread in BabAnon. Basically then, as far as I can see, it is a meringue with pecan nuts in it?

9:46 pm

If anyone wants a clue for a fifty point word just tell me.

9:47 pm

Or does it come out more like a chewy noughat?

oh great - now they moved from just talking about food to the actual dissection and subsequent recipe posting

LOL Jac, yeah, I guess so. But it tastes so much batter. I hate meringue, reminds me of cow slobber.

9:48 pm

fe6,30 ... can you help please

9:48 pm

**D*I**V**I**N**I**T**Y** hnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn nnnnnnnnnnnn

I'd say more like the noughat, kind of a hardened frosting.

9:49 pm

Never mind all that sillyness, Ren. Please acknowledge your boss!

9:49 pm

di6/40 - the controler of a movie or play

9:49 pm

Hi Rennie! Where is your recipe post, Jac? I can't find it

9:50 pm

fe6/30. Freckle - if you have any old cassette tapes around you might find that word on one of them. It has to do with iron.

9:51 pm

yes mistress....my aunt's southern divinity receipe melts in your mouth! heavenly!!!!1

9:51 pm

Mama - BabAnon/Other Interests/Recipes.

9:52 pm

ren said a wooo-ooord!

9:52 pm

anyone need hints

9:52 pm

er 7/40?

9:53 pm

di8/40

9:53 pm

di8/50 is NOT the person that controls the film action. It is the as the crow flew path to somewhere. The film person has the round vowel before the last letter.

9:54 pm

LA - er7/40 - the state of being wrong.

9:54 pm

what?

9:54 pm

Rseid - consult your lexicon.

9:55 pm

Found it Jac - I posted the recipe there.

9:55 pm

****ctor

Ugghh, I better get. Candy filled children are resisting sleep.

9:56 pm

Rseid - having said that, I'm in UK. You might be in US, and perhaps the dictionary there says something else? So many differences in spelling over an ocean.

9:56 pm

Have a good nite bunny!!!! and Happy Easter, Bunny!!!

9:56 pm

nite

9:57 pm

Good luck, bunny!

9:57 pm

good nite everyone!!!!

9:57 pm

Mama - Good. Glad you found it.

9:58 pm

'Night, Mama. (And now I can hear that Phil Collins track!)

9:58 pm

yes. It's amazing how the Americans and the Brits are divided by a common language. Now Canadians, of course. . .

gonna go watch big love, see you all back in an hour

9:59 pm

Jacula-I made a mistake the word is 8 letters long 50 points and not spelled ****ctor, ****cter

10:00 pm

Rseid - Thanks for telling me that. I am interested in the differences in language and so did wonder.

10:00 pm

ummm... i think you guys both have the word and are both clueing

10:01 pm

tr5/10-not someone who makes an attempt?

10:02 pm

yo im back and with 2 left - cu6/24 hints plz

10:02 pm

sorry for being so abrupt. It's been a very frustrating babble day-having to reload over and over again and never loading completely, so I'm using this small window of opportunity while it presents. But I've always wondered what Divinity was...will definitely try the recipe!

10:03 pm

Try it on my slow and bad connection

10:03 pm

freckle - what the head of a museum does?

10:04 pm

Helen - see you later. Hetty - Yes, indeed! Now, let's talk about my aunt and uncle who have been in Canada for about 35 years at least now and can't remember that the back of a British car is the boot, not the trunk, and that a thing you turn on to get water out of it is a tap, not a faucet. LOL. Differences! One thing I think the internet has done for the world is to get people talking, those who might never have met otherwise; ordinary people rather than politcians. Misunderstandings and fights DO occur, for sure, but, in the end, I think the WWW may be the way to a global understanding.

10:04 pm

There's three of them and I'm misssin 1

10:04 pm

now everything is showing up in tripllicate and I dont dare reload because I might end up in the Twilight Zone again.

10:04 pm

CR one is a poison

10:05 pm

l.o.l

10:05 pm

tr5/10-not the person who makes an attempt?

10:05 pm

I'm finished! Bells and whistles. How I wish I'd finish earlier for once.

10:06 pm

Yesterday we had arsenic, today we have 2 forms of vine poison to tip arrows with.

10:06 pm

TR - one means the third

10:06 pm

?

10:07 pm

TR = tr + the opp. of off + a vowel

10:07 pm

*~*~*~*~FIREWORKS FOR MERK*~*~*~*~

10:07 pm

Merk could u help me with the cr6/24, I have the museum one and the poison one..........

10:07 pm

10:09 pm

thanks Merk, but that's a tr5/12-I need the other tr5/10

10:09 pm

Freckle - I think it's a cu6 word you're seeking. If you have the 2nd vowel ending to it then change it to the 3rd vowel. Vice versa otherwise.

10:09 pm

need clue for re6/21 and cr5/18 they are the last two please

10:10 pm

merk gave the clue at 10:07, eva

10:10 pm

O Jac, my love, I do agree. I was born and educated a Brit, and have been Canadian a mere 48 years. One of my favourite (NB not favorite, but that too) stories is of the British vet who arrived (like us) in Saskatchewan and was most aggrieved when a garage mechanic asked him to open the hood. "That's not a hood, " he angrily declared, "it's a bonnet. A hood is what you put on your head!"

10:10 pm

There are two TR 5/12 The first is the TR + what is in your freezer The second is fish TR---

10:10 pm

10:40 pm

Carla - last tr6/27 is a silly compund word - if you go for an interview for a sports team they may put you on the field for a tr* ***. Failing that, if you want to buy a car, for instance, you may want to do a test run to tr* it *** before you buy.

10:40 pm

10:41 pm

11:14 pm

oh ok. well did you find lickety's clues?

11:14 pm

Just popped back for a minute from another forum. Multiple identities, on here, not where I was, annoy me. Goodnight all.

11:15 pm

yes, but for those with partly developed brains they wern't too much help.

11:16 pm

here's what they mean: af 5/16 means a word with 5 letters, that gives you 16 points, that starts with af. so if you want a specific clue, you can ask that way (that one is opposite of before)

11:17 pm

good night jacula -- happy Easter!

11:22 pm

'Night, Stid. See you another day.

11:23 pm

whoops i messed up i'm looking for ta 7/40

11:37 pm
