Flip
of course stid!
you're right wassup! *splash*
I knew you had it in you...
;-) hope I didn't get you too damp when I jumped in....
just a little misty
18 words and already slowing...hmmm
I only have 12...
I'm slowing at 18 as well
heh, I must start faster and finish wayyyyy slower. 25 so far
rane
lots of word/words/worded
any hints on the 9-letter word?
38 words now, all short
got 42 shorties
my best so far is 6 letters
i'm up to 65, all but four are under 6
Clues are up! Enjoy
dang you are all fast :( :P
thanks lickety, my hero!
sueq, how are you doing?
thanks Lickety!
thanks lickety!
damn gassy dogs. ew.
Noproblemo - I've got my clue creator working beautifully now - cut it down from 10mins to under 1 min!
thank you lickety for all you do in making this game more manageable
Between you and the vaunted BrandyJack, my babbling skills are manifold!
And it can handle words up to 28 letters in size!
46, how about you wassup?
looks like the game can only handle 13
57
yeah dr_god said he hasn't seen a 13 letter word yet
72
heh, only 38 here
whoa stid! 63 now
54 here
morning all
morning sprite!
up to 75 now... but slowing.........
up to 75 now... but slowing.........
morning sprite, been a long time
evening sprite!
(((sorry))) sorry....
onyx, it sure is! Nice grid today?
hey now...slimer should be valid.
slimes
Kick - i just had the same thought
ok one, my screen blinks too much tho
Good evening all!
hi nan!
229 --- too big for me on this format -- will skip and wait for a smaller one --- good luck.
left
okay, stalled out. going for Lickety's list.. brb
got the list
later nan! (course, you could stick around and just visit)
anyone having problems? i keep getting the message - word couldn't be added
limer should also be valid...to lime something is reasonable (builder's lime, if not the fruit)
I just got that.
mine is just S L O W
yeah, I had to reload the page
I am getting "the message" too.,, and having problems adding words to my list.
it's probably just really busy right now. usually gets better within 30 min or so after the flip
I think a lot of people are here, all adding words that they are finding.
Ok, so I wasn't the only one.
thanks, I will go slower
Could be general internet issues - somewhere on the path to the server.
mitt
oops
thanks joey!
yw
hmmmm... the plural of men (mens) isn't accepted.... not a problem with the server stalling either. Maybe I'm goofy. I'm up way past my bedtime.
I mean possessive not plural
no, it never takes it. i don't know why either
possessives dont' work...
lodestar - mens is not in the enable dictionary
'men' is already plural. I suggested to Dr_G to make the cursor jump back to the Add Word window after posting a message in the log, but he says that is counter-intuitive.
oh...
Well, that would explain it! Thanks
I just wish I could click on the letters
possessives must have an apostrophe, right?
drG knows about that one - probably slip it in soon
except for a few pronouns, sprite
note
rats! sorry
Looks like my intuition is more of the kind we babblers share, because we all keep posting words in the log after posting messages in the log...
It is a problem for sure. I saw it often in the last puzzle.
rems
anyone have the 9 yet?
g'nite all. I'm making too many mistakes!
lodestar is on a roll
good night lodestar, but don't leave on our account! LOL
yeah lodestar...we WELCOME your mistakes... :)
It's not you, lodestar, it is the site. I posted my suggestion to Dr_God once more, hope he will reconsider.
crap, I guess latin isn't accepted ;)
Kickstart, some words are. Others aren't. Welcome to the dark mysteries of the enable dictionary ;)
I figured 'diem' was common enough
kickstart, it seems to include medical and botanical terms that most people would consider latin
Like in carpe diem. I would agree. Enable doesn't, however. :)
where is diem in the puzzle?
Yeah, it's not actually there.
Would have to be spelled deim in this grid.
hehe...
yeah, but I tried anyway ;)
sue, you still there? got the list?
Hey, that is good babble technique. I always try anything I see, think I see, wish I could see or hope is in there somewhere. Along with anything remotely likely to be a word. And it works ;)
AHA! so that's your secret! you monkeytype real fast...LOL
what's odd is it didn't say "diem does not exist in the puzzle" It said it wasn't in the dictionary.
and here we-all thought you were just really brilliant... ;-)
sleeky, i've noticed that on the new server it does that sometimes
I just cannot see the three other j words. :(
Now you've got me right, stidmama :) Monkeytyping away and among the rubbish some good stuff arises...
kickstart, change the vowel in the one you just used
organ should be in the grid
yeah, i'm here, one more word and i MUST go nighty night. I have to get up at 6:30 for church, singing tomorrow
fran: or oranges!
Ornith...maybe you think I have a different one :)
hehe
I agree!
was hoping you did so I could ask for a clue
that's how I play word games in Spanish and German LOL! good way to learn new vocabulary...
well then, farewell. see you at 4 tomorrow!
Nope, the one you used in your post was close, Kick.
ornith: I have the equivalent of 'joke'
easier in spanish, stidmama, but in german that has to be hard!
same here kickstart
good night SueQ, enjoy the service!
but there's only one vowel next to j
I've found that French helps a lot.
Avaneko, almost any romance language helps.
Avenko: 9 years of high school french and I can't speak it
Another J is airplane + not off.
err...not just high school
and plural
kickstart - don't get too hung up on vowels. ;-)
Yeah. I'm not fluent either.
and yet another one is J + long time.
that's all of em, sprite
Awesome, got all 4 now
...three of which are not in the dictionary
I'm still short one.
I have the one in the dict.
gr9/72
lol earbox. the 6 is the plural of the 5 and that last clue was the other 4
wtg mrP :)
I have that.
Hi Sprite!!
Meric, ornith.
gran9?
ok, I have 2 of the an4/4s, and monkeytyping is getting me nowhere on the other ans or the as. anyone?
Merci, even.
I have "against" and "picnic bugs"
Kick, that is giving away a lot of letters of one word...
Think of emo people. They have a lot of an***
an plus second vowel plus snake
huh, must have missed that monkeytyping
thanks guys
li 7/44!
how about the as?
What you do to a drink
Or mixing even
Avenko: murder it.
Suck it down gladly, then order a second.
;)
lol
which one is that the clue for?
and then order one for wassup, who forgot her wallet
That's what I did last night.
the as
What's yer poison?
huh, not getting anywhere on that line of clues...
Martini, ashaken, not as... :)
Hah!
good ol' vodka tonic
thanks sprite!
Smoooooove.
I like rum.
rum=puke
I'm a rum man myself.
haha!
vodka for me
Jim Beam me, somebody
7 and 7 please, as long as we are ordering
7 and 7? what's that?
vodka tonic, anyone?
twist of lime?
Too early in the morning for me. At 8 am I prefer coffee :)
oh, me too. it's 11 pm here. Saturday night and I'm babbling alone in the dark...sad.
Well, it's 2AM in New York, which would be perfect drinking time if I didn't have to work tomorrow.
it's 1 am here and I am ready
joey must be from guam or hawaii
2am, yup
Spicy, spicy caesars, heavy on the vodka.
nope, Texas
7 and 7 is seagram's with 7up

It's 10:58 p.m. here

Bellevue
Vancouver, BC
WEST COAST RULES!!!
Ah lucky PNWers. Used to be.
that's ok, sprite, i have 138 words and no 7's
85 left!!
Now in Ohio

i have a 7
not + not-a-lemon + s
That's awesome.
Rather, un +...etc.
argh. 'deslime' should work too
it is ra + 7th alphabet + what a clock tells
ty for the 7 earbox
ty for the 7 earbox
ty for the 7 earbox
Listening to KPLU streaming
Thanks, joey. I so should've been able to find that one.
georgia, you've basically got an 8 too
I'm listening to The End.
thank you earbox
why is that earbox?
anybody know where Camano Island is??
Me.
That lone bottom-left E is stumping me
sure! Camano Is. just north a bit
kickstart: newts
ornith: still don't see it
Should've caught it on account of A) I kept looking in that area and B) I'm a theatre geek.
ahhhhhh..ty
it's the ef, kickstart
:P
Unfortunately, "efile" hasn't entered the vernacular yet.
efims
ty for the e
ef4....
efts

Night Night
ty
this is the fastest one i have seen in a while
w00t - cracked the 100 barrier.
me too!
Which is probably a sign that I really should be writing more and Babbling less. ;)
mild
congrats, that is a good thing
oops
did someone still need that el4?
avaneko - yes
el + opposite of low
If I can just get one O word, I'm off to bed.
ty tons - any hints i can give you?
lol. I'll let you know.
what if you got more than one, Kick?
hah. That's a clue right there.
A beginning.
for o thnk of begenings, early stages
dbridges: I'd still go to bed :)
Thanks, got it...nite all!
night night
gnight
hmm, how about the er?
JE5/22 and JE6/33 HELP!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!!!!
freckle: airplane + not off. and it's plural
A lot. A lots.
means "a previous time"
for which one, earbox and exor?
the er one
Both of them.
Freckle je5/20 not je5/22
still not getting the er
Sorry, misunderstood. I was hinting at the je.
there's a run of straight 3 letters on the er
flip
so
what is the advantage for goin pro?
I think I've tried all the ones that fit thatm dbridges
you can no longer compete in the Babble Olympics in Bejing
For the er: think of the old hardware store without the n.
right now, nothing because this site has everything on it. in a week or two the stats panel is going away for those who haven't gone pro. you also get to have a profile with an icon
freckle
still not seeing it, avaneko (may never have heard of that store, lol)
Ornith, it's an anagram for "not in motion" or "sleep"
The last 3 letters come right after another in the alphabet.
ah, thank you. was looking at the wrong area
yay
two more words and I break even...
good morning all
and, 115! Good night!
night sleeky
morning ruthy. this is a tough one. good luck!

118 and out. gnight all.
morning wassup
it's actually only 1/4 to midnight here, but close enough! Morning!
clue for ga6 and gr9 please?
Gr9 sound like giants.
sorry ornith, looking for those myself
giants is close, just change one letter
That's what I said. :)
gant#
one letter of giants to get gr9???? isn't that a few letters short?
sorry curser in wrong place still trying to get use to this site
it's ok ruthy, we had a lot of that earlier
hi all, just lurking and looking for words- sorry, i cannot help with those g words- trying to find them myself!!!! love to you all....
It is a cryptic clue, Ornith. Ruthy, we all do that. It's the site.
yo pepz
freckle, did you just go pro?
too cryptic for me I guess
do you have gr6 yet?
yep im pro now - hurray for me!
cool, congrats!
congrats Freckle
Hooray for Frecke
hi mrp
yes avaneko
add the opposite of women onto that.
thnx every1 lol
Hello everyone!! Hi wassup!
yay thanks avaneko
np
good morning all
i still laugh out loud every time i see your icon mrp.
morning katie
sorry, kate.
it's limecat!
Oh, found a beautiful Ra7/40 - 8/55 combo. Jazz style(s)
Gosh there are a lot of fi's.
yeah, but they're mostly common words
(still missing about 5 of the longer ones myself, but only one of the rest is weird/archaic)
Sprite - they were beauties thanks
Ah okay.
I was in need of a new stewie griffin icon. refresh if you wish to see him
gr 9/72 = gr 6/24 and a group of males
he's squished, but still funny
Sprite, those ra's are nice!
ne hints for the e words guys?
ef is newts
The leader of an Arab nation is an em**
em = mid east potentate(s)
For the bigger Fs, think of movies. Where they are taken, people making them. Another one is most solid.
and lasers em** light
em+ to send out (and plural)
sprite, those are the long ones I have
I'm too tired for thinking. Time for bed. See you tomorrow.
wait, one of them wasn't, thanks
There are no other big Fs, sorry :)
well, there's a 6 I don't have
also, for the other big fs, think hard like a mattress and go from there
Do you guys have the french word for son? for fi4?
Strawberry ...... forever?
fils
oops
Lol, join the club, Ornith.
any hints on ra6/18?
any hints on ra6/18?
i'm a liar! i said i was going to bed, but i keep finding more words!
I think I'm still missing the last 5/16
The other F6 is singular for moviemakers.
I think I'm still missing the last 5/16
got all the other fis now, though, thanks
I think the last F5/16 isn't the last.
cute
LOL Sprite
Oh mrP, I have H6 what your cat is wearing!
the fi 4/10? have all the others...
exor674, hint on ra6/18: it's in a diagonal--with one exception in the middle
kate, a feudal domain
Kateq, rhymes with Li4.
TY Sprite and Ornith--always obvious once someone points it out
Don't we know that feeling, lol.
how about ga6?
Males that fart?
lol
there has to be one rude word per puzzle doesn't there?
Sprite - Such language ;-)
yay, only 100 words left
speaking of farts...my dogs have been making my eyes water!
Soooooo sorry ;)
heh, dogfarts are the worst
Oh wassup - that's a smell I didn't want to remember
hey, if it can be a word in the grid (and it has) it is acceptable... :)
2 boxers. need I say more?
Wassup - you wouldn't like to see some of the words that are allowed
i know, there have been a few that i was shocked about.
=]
Actually - I could provide a list! But I'd be kicked out of the country!
I still think some words should be banned from babble. And then I don't mean words like fart.
nah, just your town...
you can't say [bleep] on the babble screen?
it took the sh word the other day. there was one though about a month ago that had me worried.
I am pretty sure we have had words that were accepted in the grid and wordlist, but not in the chat, lol.
yeah, maybe my rule should be banned...
this bleep bleepin bleep game is bleepin annoyin me!!!
this bleep bleepin bleep game is bleepin annoyin me!!!
this bleep bleepin bleep game is bleepin annoyin me!!!
bleep
this bleep bleepin bleep game is bleepin annoyin me!!!
this bleep bleepin bleep game is bleepin annoyin me!!!
heard you the first time
With all these men in the puzzle, I wonder why hitmen isn't in the dictionary.
whoa!
whoa
whoa how did i do that
it isn't???
Freckle... you broke babble!!!
good call summer!
True, SummerBreeze. Now that is a normal word.
lol
how about he6? (I have one of the 4/5s and it's plural, but not the other)
I've tried 3 times and it just won't change it's mind.:/
er, the first he6
not the limecat one
Past tense of another He4.
Summer: but the elevator ones work.
And the ones in torn up clothes.
de5/12 hints?
looks like it's the he4 I don't have, no way to make the past tense of the ones I do
that's pretty weird - all these compounds except the ones people actually use
think WWII salute as verb
Think of the hitler greeting for that He4. And for the De5/12, it rhymes with this He4.
The Nazis he**** Hitler
I have that one...
past tense it then :)
oh! I was making it with the wrong e
boo!
nice timing
ok, it's really my bedtime now.
Hi there Mikey ;)
Lol.
night everyone, hi and bye mikey
Night Night
Wassup says she's going, but we heard her say that before...
Maybe they're prejudiced against poor innocent hitmen?
ok, so I'm missing the other he 4/5 5/12 pair then
hello, Sprite! :-)
i know, and i'm really going this time... and she logs off
Even titmen are allowed.
The other He pair is those that inherit.
huh, Sprite? :-o
thanks
lol :)
it'll take lots of thingmen, but not hitmen, mikey
Mikey: just commenting on 'hitmen' not being valid, while 'titmen' is ( in grids that allow that word, of course, not this one)
oh, really? how strange! :-P
But I must admit, I take a titman over a hitman any day.
HA!
what will, Ornith?
lol, Sprite; so would i.....so would i!!! ;-)
the dictionary
The enable dictionary works in mysterious ways.
I want rifle.
good morning everyone:)
oh; i see, Ornith! i'm not awake :-/
Avaneko, you are in style with the hitmen ;)
Morning jean!
I am, aren't I.
Do we all have the Ti pair ~~~ ?
maybe that's why they aren't here... no rifles
Lol. Maybe.
I dunno sprite... I have several ti pairs
I could imagine a hitman feeling a bit handicapped without rifle.
I mean the ~ one, Ornith.
ohhhh right. stupid me
Those were my last Ts, had a hard time finding them, that's why I posted a clue. Though you all probably had them all along :)
nope, I am missing several ts
rather annoying in the tis, as I can't even tell exactly which ones I don't have
im only missin 4 t's
Okay. I'm off. Night everyone!
night avaneko
ttyl
goodnight
good night
why is it good night? Is it really that impossible to have a bad night?
Not with a grid like this.
you're wishing them a good night
lol good point freckle
lift
is that supposed 2 be implied
lol jean
ooooooops
hit the wrong box
It is, Freckle. It is short for "I wish you good night"
jean, join the club, we all do.
anyone have the re 8/40
lol i didnt think it would be long before i did hit the wrong one
joey, think of sound.
tyvm
11 more... where on earth can they be hiding?
I still have 87 left!
sprite, that is great - i have 60 left
I am seriously starting to think the stats are wrong and we only have 218 today. Must be, lol.
joey i still have 228 left
lol kat. I've been at this for 2 and a half hours though
kat - run fast... you are just beginning...... it is addictive, i should be going to bed
thanks joey
clue for the os?
wtg kat! Good begun is er.... well... maybe not quite half done ;)
os + first vowel, then to the left of that
Os ends in form of to be minus last letter.
sprite you keep going
thanks
fils
Still need 6. Aargh. (Which is a valid babble word!)
sprite, how many letters is that os?
It is 4, Fran.
thanks
Yeah, kat joins the club :)
oser
oops
And Fran too :D
it wasn't even a word!!
is fils a word
try it in the box and see
i have 57 to go, I am leaving that for tomorrow
It is, and try not to post it in the log :)
nite all - and good luck
night joey
night joey!

night joey
files

some of these people have been doing this for a long time
exor: I am here from the flip. That's 2,5 hours and a bit.
en4/4 and er4/4 hints????????????????????????????????? //
hmm, how about the re 5 and re6?
Ornith: Em again.
is leds a word
er4/4 rhymes with what you are when you win a race
i need en 4/4 also
kat, enter it in the word box and you will find out. The chatlog is NOT the place.
no its not
en4/4 hints???
en isn't in the dictionary; one letter off from what your icon uses to reproduce
rans
Freckle and Fran: take the emotion An word. Change first letter, lose last letter.
kat, try your words in the add word box, not the chatbox
i know i typed it in by acident sos
happens to all of us
hmm. na 4/4 or na 7?
thanks sprite, got the en word
can anyone plpease give me a clue for the ga 6/27 please
Na4: bickers. Na7: unpleasantries.
still strugg;ling with en
mens
ruthy: you know how we were talking about all the weird thingmen? these ones fart
lol kat
I am still working with a handicap in that I can't see the chat log ??!!## - anyone else? Also how do I 'add to friends' on the 'Who's OnLine' -she asks scurrying back to view entire chat log which is all she can see. Help!
add friends only works if you upgrade to pro
But lynxxx is pro
sprite, is that na4/4? it sounds like na 4/6...
ty ornith
yw ruthy
freckle en 4 think car it has an use the first 3 letters and plural it
bye see you all l8ter
bye kat
bye kat
thanks
bye kat
My bad, Ornith, it is. The 4/4 is more like women watching your kids.
got it monkeytyping just now :P
got it
got it too, kept trying to go the other direction!
At least 4-letter words can always be found monkeytyping. I still am a 7 short. No way I will monkeytype that one!
let's see, what else is in small enough groups to even ask for clues on (too many ti's!)...
before I left, I refreshed. I only have 27 to go. have never had that happen before. now I am really going
bye joey
Good job, joey!
ok. I have so 4/6 but not the other three sos
thanks all.
actually, I have the other so4 too :)
so4/4 male offspring with an extra letter?
so just so 5 and so 6 now
go go monkeytyping!
The 6 is related to the R8.
The other is handy under water.
thanks!
O my... I am getting fireworks! And I do feel I deserve them today! :)
grats sprite!
tr 5/10 and the first tr 5/12?
Hurrah for Sprite!
yay sprite!
Hurray sprite
tr5/12 tr*** and tr** the 5/10 is related
If you haven't found them yet, Ornith, you haven't tr... hard enough.
another hint for the re8?
thanks sprite
hmm, I'm missing a t? but I have all t(whatever)'s on the list checked off
more looking the wrong way
Re8: strong and deep in tone.
TYVM!
good hint sprite
bah, everything else I need at least 4 in one group of starting letters. oh well.
Though I realise now my clue has got another word in it... sorry ;)
can i get a clue for the 9 letter word? just the starting two letter would be fine.
Gr9, Fran.
the nine is a gr
hmm. hi7?
thanks that will help
Hi7 = past tense of Hi6/21, 2nd spelling.
I don't have the hi6s, heh
clue for hi 6/21 please
got the gr9, what exactly do they do?
write gr6s, I think, fran?
Sounds asif they give you things!!!!!!!!!!
makes sense
what about sa 7 or te 7?
i need both of those also!
Yeah, I'm just asking for hints on the ones I can even be specific enough to ask at this point
The Hi6 words rhyme with a session of exercise, drill, or practice, usually private, in preparation for a public performance. They are alternate spellings of each other.
Te7 : renters
sa7 is a Persian musical instrument (plural form)
Sry guys, gtg, can't stay for more hints. Just got telephone call that my father-in-law has died. And my husband is away today, without cell phone. I have a problem to solve :(
so sorry sprite
eep *friendlyt hug*
He has been ill a very long time, but somehow it still comes as a shock. Well, I am off, hope I can find my husband.

lickety, the third page is in the site index from the main page.
what do u think matty?
morning/evening all!! Angel, your page is looking great!
anyone have a clue for the last fi 7/44?
Good morning everyone. I'm still not able to access the earlier logs. Makes me feel very hadicapped. Dr G says it seems to be a problem with Firefox and he is tyring to fix it, but for while I'm on my own.
ok cool angel (no idea!)
hiya eva and mrp!!
hi bex!
hello bex!!
fran-do you have the people who make movies?
i only have 121 to go but im stuck
yes i do Eva
thanks, MrP! the third page in the set went up yesterday morning. I just can't seem to stop writing about Babble.
and where movies are made
what about most solid?
aah, that's the one!
thanks for those fi clues :)
Good!
does anyone have a list of the 7's?
3 more TIs and I'm done
de 7/36 - plural of 6/24 - sounds like taking citrus out of something
can anyone help with the an5 word? I'm sure it must be right under my nose but I can't find it.
Thanks fran! What a strange word.
thanks fran!
And how can you get to previous entries on the chat log? I can't get any further than where the blue drag-down line goes to.
hi 7/36 - past tense of 6/21 - sounds like a girl's winter sport implement
an=anxiety or stress.....
hydra-think worry and fear
an5 think teenagers
all good clues
hydra, there's a button above the chat log
Why didn't I see that! Thanks, Eva and dbridges.
Oh, just found button as well. Forgive my idiocy, folks!
fran-another one to add to my bizarre babble vocabulary!
li7/44 - guys in elevators?
thanks fran
you're kidding. Our little guys with elevator shoes.
na 7/28 - bad things, letters run from top of grid to the bottom
Any further hints for that hi7/36?
ra 7/40 - type of music, hello my ra----- gal
fi/7 -- those behind the camera
have that one fran.....this is very, vvery helpful, since I can't go back in the log as I used to, to find these clues.
Still missing 2 7's. Have the ones you just gave, plus the 3 fi's.
sa 7/28 - an indian instrument, plural of 6/18 - I found this one by googling indian instruments and trying variations in spelling, wasn't easy
can i have another clue for the na 7 please?
movieman, fran's clue works if you stick with it. think alt spelling of fem possessive + winter sporting equipment.
te 7/28, plural of 6/18 - renter(s)
does anyone have clues for the j's?
Eva te7/28 renters
that's all the 7s since you have the 3 fi ones
bex --- na7 - plural of a -y adj.; think yucky
This is my second puzzle, but I didn't finish yesterday's :(
thanks a lot fran!! Don't have the indian instrument yet but will go searching
bex horribles
eva, that one kind of winds around the grid
eva, do you have the last two ti 4/4s and the last ti 5/10?
scratch that, i mean the last ti 4/4, the last ti 6/21 and the last ti 5/10
thanks for the clues just got the na 7
found the last ti 4/4 by monkey typing
ti5/10 - what you can have on kitchen or bathroom walls
the last ti 5/10 is pretty rough -- either that or i've forgotten my SAT vocabulary =P
Fran-I haven't looked at any of the lists yet, so don't know the order of things. the only ti6/21 I have so far is the plural of the thing you use to make sure your cake in the oven doesn't cook for too long.
had that one, but i just found the last two and i'm done!!
congrats!
well done fran
great!!!TA DA for fran!
thanks! I can give clues for another half an hour and then I have to sleep, it's 1:45 am here.
on to the 6's.
Any further hints for the indian musical instrument?
4:45 am here; but i'm writing a paper... at least I was supposed to be
oops. keep forgetting that I'm not home and am using my friend's phone line, so had better sign off for now.
12.43 pm here
movieman, I googled indianmusical instruments and the third listing or so had a comprehensive list of all of them. I found it there.
dbridges, the last 3 ti words are all related. Find ti 4/4 and you'll get the 6/21 and the 5/10. Never heard of the word, but it sounds like a word for spinning around, without the w.
ooh. i had that one, but i completely overlooked the relation. thanks!
what does the musical instrument start with?
I'm still having problems with that indian musical instrument......
GOOD SUNDAY MORNING everyone. Cloudy here in Kansas, looks like rain. Thanks, Dr_God for the Fireworks info.
movieman what does the indian instrument start with?
indian musical instrument sa7/28 is the plural. 6/18 is singular. In the googled sites I think it's spelled with eer, but in the grid it's ir
Just got it, but in the sites I checked out, it was spelt with "oor"....
solving it was combination of research and monkey typing for sure!
Anyone care to help me with the 9 now?
gr 9/72 - someone who gives out gr5/14s
it won't accept nano, not sure if that's a word or just a prefix...
gr 5/14 in verb form means to give
ty, franny......
Can someone please tell me what the numbers in th stats mean?
letters/ points
tile stats tell you how many words originate from that tile
there's a box for each tile on the grid, first number tells you how many you've already guessed out of the total
yw, movieman
Thank you, all -- I think I understand.
Well, it's bedtime for me, good luck everyone
I can't find this blessed Indian musical instrument - sa7?
Good morning everyone (or afternoon, if applicable)! How is everyone today?
Fran, I've know gr5/14 but for the life of me I can't make someone who gives them out (unless university is the secret word). help?
good night FranMag
uh oh. perhaps too late
'Night, Franny....
gnight
what are title stats?
dbridges, look for a three letter word that means males and add that to the plural of gr 5/14
tile stats say how many words you've found that originate from that tile/how many words total that originate from that tile
dbridges - the 9 is the plural of the gr5+adult males....
oh you're kidding me. thank everyone, i feel dump =\
dumb, even.
Got it...but more through trial and error than anything else.
I now have 3 of the 10 sevens...I feel like such a moron (I know, where can you find one this time of the afternoon boom boom)
matty do u have the na 7?
Nope - care to pass ona clue ;)?
good morning in babble-land
In the tile stats, for H it says 2/19. I found held (6)and hire (5) -- which only adds to 11; what am I not doing right??
if someone if being horrible you could say they were being na*** but if there was more than 1 person they might be na*****
Good morning, evanonut!
the second number is how many words there are to be formed on that letter
Got it - thanks Bex!
when people gilve clues like gr 5/14, then it's letters/points. on the actual tile stats its words done/ words total
(((jera))) - hiya buddy
How are you today, evanonut? I am still recovering from my daughter's birthday party yesterday!
I can't believe hitmen isn't a word.
ouch - how olds the daugher jera (if i disappear, just changeing icon)
The big 1-0, it was a blast. They set up the tent & camped out in the backyard!
oh man! that's near teenage!
I know, I'm getting scared!
looks like we still gotta refresh to see our new i cons
Yes, that confused me at first... I almost asked, but figured refreshing cures so many ills, I'd just do that...
i'm sure she'll be a model teenaged daughter - so, how s this grid today
evanonut Like the icon
NOt too bad at first, but the second half seems tricky. Pretty normal, I guess! I'm at 140 with no list, took me about an hour, if that helps gauge
I haven't yet upgraded, so whilst I have the tile count, I don't get the te7/14 and all that stuff (I made that bit)
thankyou frances - former jav thrower her good gage jera, means i'll finish with about 1/3 of the words
Of course, I will be slowing down due to the recently added 4-year-old awake factor... he cried so hard last night, wanted to sleep outside with the girls!
poor kid, make him a tent in the living room!
I'm failing...with 111 words left. sigh
He was so exhausted (one big reason for not allowing it) he just keeled over on the couch beside me.
I think I'll send him out to wake the girls about 9... heh, heh, heh...
first se4 is elusive. help? thanks!
matt: learning by doing! jera: sinister!
sorry angel, only up to twelve
I only have 2 se4's no idea if they are first... but one is partial & the other rhymes with respected gentlemen (yes, si*) but second vowel + s
I have those Jera, thanks..I'm looking for an se4/7
I will do the same, Angelsong.. haven't broken out the list yet...
se4/7
se + no **'s ands or buts
sorry - keep forgetting about the way to enter something into chat
Thanks, macuser... I also found a se5/8 in my hunt!
thankks, macuser..was looking at the wrong S.
yw :)
Me too Angels song, but that's how I found the 5!
It's all good at this point...
in this new Babble setup, how do we view earlier chat postings?
My son is sitting in a milkcrate, with another one over him... looks like he's in a cage... so funny!
Oooh - I know that one. It's the little box in the upper right hand corner of the chat box (next to the speech bubble)
une, thelittle calculator in the top right of chat
oh, ok, thanks!
Any more from this side of the pond here? (Britain)
me!!!!
but you may not be able to see the entire chat log. Dr. G is aware of the issue.
Hurrah! though I claim both flags - born and raised in New York...married an Englishman. Someone had to (boom boom)
Do you have dual citizenship, matty? Pleased to meet you, btw!
My daughter does...I have the forms...but that's as far as I got - though I've been here 18 years!
managed to get 125 words while lurking - although you can't truly lurk anymore since people can see who is online :)
I'm curious because I've been researching citizenship/immigration laws recently, because of the hoopla over here about the Mexican illegals
CLIFFYOPPYA
{{cliffopa}} Good job!
nnnnnnut!
I guess I should do the Friends thing before I am considered rude...
Friends thing?
i'm all excited about my package cliffy
im hoping it will be there monday. sent it priority mail.
150 words here and no list - some kind of record for me
Okay, how do I do the friends thing?
on sonday cliffy?
I'm almost there macuser, that's my goal!
sent it friday nut
oh jera, i get it. go into who's online, then click those you want to add
macuser, I assume that you're using a mac?
you can do it, Jera :)
yes, wizard, that would be a correct assumption
i consider all of you my 'friends' :)
Never mind, I figured it out... much simpler with not having to be approved!
What kind of mac are you using? I have a Mac Mini.
but doesn't the post office close on sunday? i'm sure my brother in law doesn't work on sunday.
cliffy could be a politician
did i say sunday or monday?
iMac here, wizard
i actually was a politician.
Cool. Is it one of the new intel iMacs?
I have one of the Js - can anyone help with the rest? At least how many letters? Anything?
sorry, cliffy, thought you said today, not monday, these words are so small
no, not yet, wizard
i should really put on my glasses!
cliff Great kitty pic! :)
well i was wondering nut. my keyboard (wireless) hasn't been the same since last nite. kitten knocked it on the floor and batteries came out
je5/20 and plural je6/33
thanks macuser. if you go to my profile is it bigger?
yes, adorable!
cliff that is a great shot - did you take it?
yes macuser. i've taken a zillion pics of the new baby. i just can't stand to watch him be so cute without capturing it all.
hey cliffy, i'm so honored...you mentioned me in your profile!
*looks sadly at her lack of any J words*
yes i did nut. i like yahoo im much better than aim.
je4/9 to joke
Ohhh - thanks - got those two - one more to get (I got the obvious jokey one)
Got the je4!
yes, yahoo does have that superior something
AOL bites.
je4/9 (first one)--just delete the middle letter in je5/20
but the important thing is you are always making me laugh ms. nutty. i like it when people make me laugh.
The je5 is not obvious to me... will stare at grid a bit...
I prefer Google Talk for IM
I used...a crossword solver. I am evil, I tell you. Any clues on the final J?
probably cause i like it when people laugh silly girl
je5 is French for token, like subway token
I have 2 je4's now! Don't know French for subway token...
my husband can't figure out what i'm laughing at when i'm in my studio/office and he is watching cnn.
it's been in the grid several times before :-)
Is it? Oh. But can anyone give me a clue for the remaining j? I've got JE4/9, je5/20 and je6/33
french token, la coin!
This is only the second time I've played...
first 3 letters are "a very fast plane"
*looks sad because jenga, a great game, is not in the grid*
cnn makes me sad and angry. and bored. i like babble much better. always something new instead of the same old same old.
matty, i know, i was answering Jera
cliffy = o
oops, hands on wrong keys
That did it Unea, thanks!
I'm watching Stargate SG1...
great!
jera: i know! =( i was a bit disappointed too
about jenga i mean -_-
I was a much better player before my hands started shaking so much...
was going to say, i'm driven to babble by the tv's constant sports news status. i consider myself and enlightened woman, love sprots actually. but can't stand to sit and watch a bunch of retired jocks trying to be heard over each other.
jera, i have a 9 year old niece who is unbeaten in jenga. i swear she has magic powers.
je..
nut - why else would they have invented the mute button?
My daughter loves it too, she just turned 10...
There are 5 sleeping tweenies in a tent in my back yard...
hubby is keeper of the remote and smoosher of the la z boy, better to come back here.
jera, send the 4 year old to wake them now!
Help...the J word I don't have... I have joker, token and tokens
15 more minutes, evano...
je + opp of off
my hubby doesn't like confrontation, so i can always coerce him out of the remote - if i want to.
jera is too kind
I know evano, it's one of my few faults... ;>
Thanks - and it means what exactly?!
No definition, matty!
oh but cliffy, i don't really want the tv that bad, we have vod, so i can just bop one whenever he's not and watch
What is vod??
video on demand, i can watch whatevers on my premium channels whenever i want
Gwyd is very happy playing with clay... not quite ready to rumble yet...
Cool, evano!
me likee - gonna grab a yogurt
i do it mainly to get him to stop watching cnn. i get so tired of people arguing and the same stories over and over and over
We have TiVo, that's as fancy as we get...
I very rarely watch TV news, cliff
good for you jera.
Most of my news I get on-line... I prefer reading but it doesn't clutter up the place...
*peeks in*
*attacks Mikey with a big hug*
Guten Tag, Mikey! Wie geht's?
{{{MIKEY}}}
Can anyone help with more or less anything? I have 99 words left - I suspect I've already found the obvious ones
Have you checked out THE LIST yet, matty?
What list?
matty - do you have the se6 meaning a collection of TV programmes?
sote
Some of our member do word lists with the first 2 letters given as clues (the code we use here)
Whoops!!!!
Do now, thanks. I feel like an idiot missing that one. Where do I find that word list?
kitten is calling. be back later.
ja; danke, mattygroves.....es geht mir gut; und dir? :-)
Check out the Friend sof Babble section... I recommend Babblers Anonymous or Lickety's Babble Clues

Rats, it's a gif... can't use it...

Icon-wise, I 've chosen a VERY famous movie star, in order to continue my birthday theme......
hmm, evanonut?
Any hint for SO6/18?
gut (nut) matty groves (swearword)??lol
:))
:))
I must be woefully out of touch, movieman... no idea who that is...
hmm; what is the 'theme' today then, birthdays? i'm boring; i'm just myself every day in here :-P lol
sports mikey
The longest so I have is a 5, sorry...
I'm gonna end up having to knock this on the head...I'm rubbish. 98 words left. Sigh.
You're sporty enough for us, Mikey!
Don't give up, matty! Did you check out the links?
anung meron dito?
mike, just put up a picture from work, that's a sport
I seem to be missing a ti5 between the ti for spat and the one for floor covering.
Mikey - the theme is sports today, but I've just got my own personal Celebrities Birthdays theme going on.....
movieman
cause he's movie man - see, it fits!
Yah - I found the list of word first leters, second letters and so forth...but still stuck at the moment. Weep.
((((((((((Frances!))))))))))
Who is that in your icon, movieman? Or are we supposed to guess?
Which one are you stuck on, matty?
I could tell you, Jera, but I think it'd be much more fun for you to guess.....
movieman Gary Cooper
Lickety's list is very nice as you can type in what you already have... that often helps you think of others that are close but you hadn't seen
Movieman, is it Gary Cooper? (tiny, tiny on my 'puter)
Layne - Well done!!!!!
Click the bio symbol to see the pics bigger
And well done, Frances....
TY. A very handsome man, that.
hey...is faerie in the house???
Ta
oh; i see, movieman.....well, ballet is as athletic an activity as it gets, although artistic as well.....so, i suppose just having my own photo as my icon is appropriate, after all! ;-) lol
Hi Mikey
Ooh, Mikey put up your jete pic!!
the 9 letter word is hard today- shuckers
can ne1 give me ne hints as 2 the e's?? havnt spotted any!!!
can ne1 give me ne hints as 2 the e's?? havnt spotted any!!!
One el is plural of a type of tree...
which one, Jera? :-P i have loads of different ones!
elms
I just got fed up with looking for specific icons all the time, so now I just go into the imdb, go into the birthdays/deaths/marriages list, and choose a particular celeb....
I've only seen one... prolly any one will be impressive!
theme icon hunting is one of my joys!
anyhow, it would be pointless; the icon pics in here are far too small, so it wouldn't ve very visible this way!
I love looking for icons...
ach; make that 'wouldn't be' :-P
Lolly, a common verb that means to give off or send out . . . a radio station ---- a signal.
Yeah but people could click on the bio & see it better... I'm sure it would be appreciated! :>
nah; it's ok :-P
Lolly, another e . . . a chieftain in the Middle East.
Organica, wrong box...
(Don't feel bad, people do that all the time)
he he, i was going to let it slide jera
Lolly, another e: the plural of a word meaning a division of geologic time.
So far I've been lucky about mixing up input boxes... many times I have entered chat in the puzzle box...
cheers guys, got 3 now!! only 8 more 2 get! didnt get the chieftain 1 tho!
i think its funny, gives us all something to snicker at
I only said it because a newbie might wonder why the heck their word didn't show up...
better than blurting words in chat =P
hey; paperdoll.....there's my zodiac sign beside your name! :-)
got another 1! woo
Lolly, the chieftain is an em 4/5 and its plural.
Yay, Lolly *claps hand*
oops- sorry
I'm seeing stars and fireworks. Yeah
first ti5/12?
ti 5/12 -- a grammatic sign
how about the a's then? got the insect...clues 4 ne more?
ARB, are you seeing stars and fireworks, because you've completed the grid?

TY Gramma --- my younger grandkids call me gamma
That's sooo cute.

Whoo-hoo! Refresh to see my better icon...

Lolly, an 5/14 if that helps.
That helped me, Layne!
There's also 2 more an4/4s & an as5/10.......
an 4/4 against
ja; 'cos when pics were uploaded before, in the old site, they were automatically resized to the 60 x 60 pixel icon/avatar size.....but now, in this new version of the site, they aren't.....they're left their original size, to a maximum of 200 x 200 pixels anyhow, in the bio pages, and displayed as thumbnails in the chat log here.
Had to get more coffee. Today is a very slow start for me. Could I please get a hint for the SE6/18?
Got the an5 - I have the an4 insect one - any more clues ;)
at least i uploaded mine at a 200 x 200 pixel size, and that's the size it's displaying at in my bio page

Oh - what's his name, then (I live in the UK)
second me6/21?
I was going to use a baseball clue, but I realized that wouldn't help mattygroves
So long as it's the Mets, and before 1987 (go Mets). I'm an ex-pat - married an Englishman in 1988
Jerry Grote would wear one of these...
Got that one...
Are there any words ending in "tion", 'cos the letters are there, and it's killing me trying to find them....
no, none
Thank God!!!!
second me6/21, please, and thanks
mattygroves, the Mets are leading the National League East by 5 games

hiya harpjane

Sorry!
lol
Wow.
Things are very very different.
"Don't talk to me about ****"
That was from Marvin, the paranoid android, in "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"
I want "trifle" to be in the grid
and I want termite
I have one more word to get for the top left R, but when I check the stats (Babble anonymous) there don't seem to be any more ra...I'm confused...
matt,, try a refresh!
I don't want to trifle with smitten termites, non of which qre in the grid
matty, how many letters?
Hi all! There are 10 r's from the corner, I just grayed it out! Yay!
ummm - that was meant for Matty, with the r's
bwah.
Nope - still says I have an R to find...I have 9 of 10, according to the tile stats...
I hate spring.
anyone have a clue for the as5/10 pls
Hooray for mattygroves!
Do you have the ra6/27 matty?
cause a rumpus and create a5/10
Huh? What have I done? Yep, if it's something that would describe Steptoe (or Sanford, depending on your nationality)
would anyone like to give me a clue for the ra 8?
matty, how many ra words arein your word list?
Oops, amandacath, graying out the r's
Nine...
bex. Alexander's r7 band pluralised
Bex - pl ra7, 2 musics
thx douglas
thanks!!!!
matty, can you list the ra's length and scores you have in the log
Can anyone help me with os4/4? It's probably extremely easy, but I'm not that smart.
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy ****; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6, KJV)
os plus the middle letters of sm**t
6/27, 4/6, 7/40, 8/55, 4/6, 4/4, 4/4, 5/10, 6/18
another 5/10
thanks. i've been sick for a while, so its hard for me to concentrate
add a letter to the one above it
you've forgotten a plural, matty
Doh!

Frank Zappa had a song with the lyrics...
"What's the ugliest part of your body? Some say your ****, And some say your **** But I think it's your mind..."
Douglas, you're the quote-meister - I'm impressed
Thanks, amandacath...
not that I know what goes in the blank, but still...
"The time to hesitate is through, No time to wallow in the ****"
Ah! I know that one, had it already tho
ray100, you've stolen Dr_God's icon!
What song is that - I am sure I know the song!
Doors - Light my F4/7
And again - doh!
A song by a group whose lead singer was James Douglas Morrison
later sung by jose feliciano
And covered by who I don't consider to be a serious pop artist - Will Young!!!!!
I had a little over 30% of the words, and I said, "Well, I go a little further and get a third of the words..."
Any clue on the er4/4 - I'm resorting to guessing
hi folks
any clues on the na/7
er4 rhymes with german sausage
it's a perennial Babble word :-)
baobab - try thinking video n******.....
Anyone know what it means? I got it...
Hello baobab!
matty, click on the question mark in the box next to the word
Althought it should be noted that sometimes that won't help...
movieman, i don't think i get your clue...
n7, horribles
Anyone seen Anj or Lola recently?
thanks boysaway!
de7/36 clues anyone?
Baobab - video n****** are extreme movies (usually horror) that were banned in Britain in the early 80s...
matty, add green fruit
na7 - hard to clue for: I suppose some Victorian mothers would have told their children to keep thier hands off their na7...?
NEver mind....
I want gnostic to be in the grid...
me too douglas! it's a puzzle tease
I tried that one every way around too, douglas - couldn't get anything from it
Amanda - the na7 isn't THAT hard to give clues for, after all, I managed it....
de 5/12
Neither termite nor smitten are in the grid...
The 1st fi5/18 & 6/30 plz.....
de5/12 add 3rd vowel plus consonant, plural
I just grayed out the i on the bottom...woo-hoo!
movieman, meadow(s)
Thanks - I should have got that, as I got the singular through trial and error. It's probably geting time to quit, before I go NUTS (67 words left)
TY, Boysaway.....D'OH!!!!!!!!!
the clue for na/7 can be very culturally specific
I guess Americans have never heard of video n****** then.......
nope, and probably most latin americans either
The word for beginning in yesterday's puzzle is in this one as well
I never have, movieman. How bout "Klaus Kinski's daughter's nickname x 2"
I have. But then I live here... Can anyone help me feel moronic li7/44?
Must be a British thing, then.....
liftset
matty, elevator operators
Sorry again...
Guys in the elevator, Matty (you're almost there)
Got it (sounds like a made up word to me)
the ga6/27 plz....
same principle, movieman
A person who works with American petrol
D'OH, again!!!!!!!!!
In the Jethro Tull song, "Bungle in the Jungle," The rivers are full of crocodile *******, and He who made kittens put snakes in the grass. He's a lover of life but a player of pawns --- yes, the King on His sunset lies waiting for dawn to light up His Jungle as play is resumed. The monkeys seem willing to strike up the tune.
...so there's a word that rhymes with grass, we can assume?
Fabulous - a Tull fan - man after my own heart. "Sitting on a park bench...eyeing little girls with bad intent..." "I really don't mind if you sit this one out/your word's but a whisper, your deafness a SHOUT"
No, it doesn't rhyme with grass..not really, anyway. Plural of an adjective meaning unpleasant, or evil, or bad?
Not exactly, amandacath, Tull was taking poetic license
any help with the gr/9
baobab, Eastenders brother's male people
gr6/24 + male plural

Got it! thx movieman! I've been waiting for that word to be in the grid, it's so often almost there
YW, Amanda....
The only drawback about this new site is that you can no longer lurk in the background pretending you're not here!
If someone can be disgruntled, can they be gruntled as well?
I'm all for it, Douglas!
The first fi 5/18 (not the one you do to your nails)
And how come someone can have a lack of gorm, but gorm itself isn't a word....
my friends and i fully beleive is shevelling a gruntling th world.
MATTY, MEADOW
So, technically, the whole world is gormless!!!!!
But if I said to someone "Ah, I'm feeling very gruntled today," meaning to say "Ah, I'm feeling very contented today," people might not understand what I'm trying to say without further explanation
has anybody got any clues for a .....
lol, movieman, beacuse no-one has any gorm!
Meadow? Beginning FI...? RE gruntled - we'll know! We can also be ept, ruth, kempt...
they'll learn, Douglas
But then that would be their problem and not yours, wouldn't it, Douglas?
Fi
sa/7 clue anyone?
Well, yes, but I'm generally opposed on principle to saying words that I know other people wouldn't understand...
The 1st he4/5 plz...
That makes it difficult to talk to alot of people, I'm afraid. Or at least to have fun while doing it... :)
When I think about the word "gruntled," I remember that Monty Python embarassment sketch where the announcer tests for embarassment by saying "Shoe...megaphone...grunties"
he 4/5 = employ
Movie, are you looking for the Hitler word?
So, Douglas. Does that mean you won't use any words of more than two syllables? I find that confuses most people....
yes, amanda, but now I'm stuck on the he6/4.....
s7, add an insect, third vowel and a consonant
he6/4 saluted Hitler
Sorry,. I meant the he6/24.....
fi 5 meadow
You have a point, brandyjack
I didn't expect the Hitler salute to be in the dictionary...
can't help you there, but we can look together
did you get the past tense of the Hitler salute?
Oh duh! he6/24 thing for your head
It's one of the reasons I hang out in here. Where else can you find so many people utterly confused and unable to see a simple 4 letter, single syllable word...... And willing to broadcast the fact....
it's not the nine letter words that we find last.....
Yes BJ,even when the word is staring you in the face!
need 2 more a's - got the insects, a + mixing, n the opposite/not word! ne more??
Please help, pretty please...F1 5 meaning, apparently, meadow
re a's did you get the french donkeys?

OOps!
Plural of the terrestial life stage of a newt... "She turned me into a newt!" "A newt?"
"...I got better..."
I think that's all I've seen since Midnight Jacs......
Any help for my last j? I've got the casino ones and the funny one...
why can't there be words *i* use on a daily basis here, i never talk about immature newts... but thanks, did get the word!
Lolly, the word starts the same way as a word meaning fury, then add the abbreviation for street
I think I'd better stop skiving off here in the study and go and help Paul repaint the garden furniture!8(
it seems to be a common problem for those who toalk too much.... 8}
leave the consonant out of the others amanda
Right - off to the pub now -might chat later (if I can still type then!) Cheers
Thx, boys - what is that? fluorescent denims maybe?

thx hurshy, didn't realize that was an "official" word
Thanks, baobab, that way my last n-word. The other is another word for grandmothers
It would seem that it is indeed a Babblet
a lucky habit i have i guess :)
then it's a really lousy English-German dictionary Douglas.
Wait - are you talking about the an or the o? The an is a german word, the o isn't

derriere, you mean?

i need one more he/6, not the one that's the past tense of the fascist saluting
but it was a favorite of mine, that and canard
you'll want to know this when you have your actors come for the test - "voulez vous couchez avec moi ce soir?"
evanonut, are you thinking "de rien"?
baobab - soldiers and football players wear them on their heads
yes yes! i know that one, hurshy, except it is a request, and i was thinking more of a requirement. baobab, i think you could be correct
baobab - you mean the thing you wear on your head?
anyone finding the site very slow ?
yes, got i t now
ok then nut - "VOUS! MAINTENANT!"

hi/7 please
'of nothing'.....think nothing of it
only to load 72 - then its good i can't translate hursh, but i'm thinking it sounds good.

Does anyone have a Palm Pilot with wi-fi connection?

i a little peeved that "hitmen" is not considered a word
oh my, evanonut; a toy party, hmm?
me too but i knew that from another day
*faints with shock*
i doubt i could shock you mikey
So if the hi6's aren't hitmen (which I've attempted over and over, it still won't work) what are they?
i don't even want to know what a toy party is i think
oh no; *you* didn't, evanonut!
i need 'em too amanda
testing 123
that makes three of us
and i still need the hi/7 too

Got them, Hursh and Bao - no idea if they mean lewd, crass, and fun - sound yiddish to me
yeah but i mean the ones we're looking for, the 6's and the 7
and both could be, if seriously missused, lewd and crass.
oh....and I wouldn't mind some help with the His either.
amanda--give us some hints!
hi minski
I'm working on it....
Greetings All

I was wondering about that, evanonut, wasn't sure whether to be honored or just scared hen you jav'd me...
and of course it's another hi/4, time for some more monkey-typing
amazing shot, nut - moving target and all
oops, sorry hurshy, you were supposed to trap that between your arm and torso
just make it "look" like i javver stabbered you.
with my dying breath, i'd like to thank all the babblers, my cats, and, most important of all, NEVER, EVER
81 left, and i'm only working 12 more minutes for now
looks like Dr G isn't the only one in an upgrade frame of mind....our map site is upgrading also, which is why I couldn't access it this morning...
------> (pulls jav out of hurshy)
Jen are you on the map?
What map are you talking about? And TO, just my last be trip for a while... we are settling back in at home.
(that's good if you left it in the coffin would have to be a very awkward shape)
The falppr map, where we can put where we live!
it's screwed up at the moment...won't load right, but pls....try til you get it
Will come in very useful for the Babbler convention...
wouldn't want to drive up your funeral expenses hursh
Where do I find this map? I haven't explored the new stuff yet.
it's not just "our" map...it's the frappr site in general
oops, I totally misspeleld that....
http://www.frappr.com/babble Jen
*falls on flopr laughing at her own typos*
that's a new one on me... I'll check it out
well like I said...it's kinda messed up at the moment...they're still fixing it
but keep that url handy
makes me mad though...I get everybody excited about it...and they go and do THIS
de7, fi7 x 2, hi7, na7, ra7, sa7, te7 - which two 7's am i missing?
good morning babblers all. I'm typing on my daughter's computer and so far going great guns while i show her the ropes. We may find ourselves with another addict before long
hi hetty :)
yes, the site is not coming up for me tndaisy
Hey hetty!
WTG hetty!
i'm going to take a nice bath now
bbl
It will come up eventually...just not right now. give them time to tinker...hope they hurry up about it!
Is the "view entire chat" not working for anyone else? It only goes up through like 3AM for me.
bye evanonut
jen - it's a firefox bug - doc is working on it
cool, thx hurshy
when you're done with that hursh - please may i have clues for te7 and sa7?
There are 3 fi7/44...I don't have any of them.
*peeks in again*
these el 4/5 are killing me
i have 2, but i have tried every combo i can find
*wonders where Mikey's jete picture is*
ja; those are tough, Lady S :-/
my jete photos are in various places, Jera; photo albums, etc :-P
Jee - Try the people who record movies, singular and plural
i got the tree
one of the fi/7 is a place where movies get made
Thanks Leigh...just found one using that first fi4 compounded.
the movie place one...thanks...now just one more fi7
need one more fi/7 over here
hurshy, found it yet?
thanks baobab
the other fi7's, people who make movies, and most fi4
temple - you must have missed my post to you earlier - te6/7 combo, renters
hi, Hetty; you're still there somewhere, i gather? :-) creating a new Babble addict there, are you? ;-)
sa6/7 combo, indian instrument and pl
thanks for those clues hershy--the te/ones were on the spot!
i'm still stuck on teh last fi/7, as soon as i get it i have to leave and go code data...
that leaves just one more 7 to find. hmmm...e, l, m, r, s, or t?
ty hurshy - i'm qutting soon, site dlow for me, and cannot see grid and char at the same time : /
can anyone tell me what the tile stats mean?
thanks Hursy, don't I get 5 points today, for telling you that you needed the fi7?
oh, sorry to hear that temple :(
I'm saving them up for something big.
oh - we've sort of had to stop GWHIM... but here... 5 points!
fi 7 is the strongest.
why did you have to stop?
ahh, thanks leigh
well, didn't HAVE to, but choosing too bc i discovered it annoys a lot of people.
welcome
Hi. I'm stuck. Any clues for re 8/40?
Too bad they couldn't just ignore it...it was very helpful to me in finding odd words.
ok folks, time to go, i've frittered away far too many hours here today, coding awaits... maybe i'll get on late tonight and capture some of the last 62 on my list
Do you have the li7? I do not.
i can probably still help you find odd words, Jee, in one way or another :)
5 more points, jee! :)
hi, Mikey. Yes, I'm visiting my daughter in Victoria.I told her all about you (well, all I knew)and now I have to go. Talk to you again later .
I'm stumped. Does anyone have the Ti4/10?
ti4/10 another word for fight or spat
Minski - a little argument
a little spat
Fireworks for me!!! Anyone need anything?
yes amanda, looks like me and jee need an li7 clue
unless it's fishy
lol, ok Hetty; talk to you again soon! ;-)
why are the me's giving me problems today? :(
if it is fishy, i can't smell it
hi, Hazel! :-)
Hello, Mikey!
mr. haggard, jen, and cut vowel off his name, and pl both
thx hurshy, I had the one w/o the vowel
got it jee!
I need the fish. I knew that word but didn't see the second letter for it. Thanks guys.
elevator operators
or rather the 4th letter for it.
Ah...thanks Hurshy
see you all later! thanks for clues?
bye temple
Bye TO!
bye everyone! thanks for the clues!
bye baobab
oh, btw; don't know if all of you are aware of this yet, but if you re-upload your photos/images for your icon/avatar, you can have them display bigger in your bio pages.....the old site automatically resized them to tiny 60 x 60 pixel thumbnails, but this one doesn't.....it just displays them even a little smaller than that in the chat log, but they are much bigger now in the bio pages; not sure if they will display there to whatever size you upload, or if it's a maximum sizing of 200 x 200 pixels, but that is the size of the one i've uploaded, and it displays at that size there.....just thought you all might like to know that, anyhow! ;-)
yikes; sorry my post turned out so huge! :-/
getting a late start today! Hi babblers and buddies :)
wow..Mikey..quite a post..and its all greek to me..(puter illiterate)
hi there, lianakate!!! :-) lol; i'm sure i'll never finish this grid.....but having fun trying :-P
hmm; all i said was that you can upload a larger picture now, and it will display much bigger in your bio page, lianakate! ;-)
Hi All - back form my trip to Bath -relaxed,overfed & a head full of red wine!
i have 80 left to go, Mikey..and am already stumped..cant for the life of me think of an indian insturment..except sitar..and that isnt in here..(O sob)
uses a lot of the same letters, lianakate
Hi, snowy! Glad you had a wonderful time.
snowyowl - didn't get to speak to you after your hairdo? Did the blonde thing work out?
Hi Liana! Long time no see!
K...ty, hersh..{
sorry - phone. Anyone still asking for clues?
lol, lianakate; don't ask me.....i'm not even that far yet.....and still have 151 words left to find! :-/
i'm missing one e, amanda, can you tell me if there are any en's, ei's, es's, or et's?
hello snowy! hello lianakate - long time no see!
LOL Haz -It's what you might call an 'interesting' shade! My mum said 'oh yes -very nice' & then 'I prefer you darker'!
Hi TO!
OK. Done with the Ts. Working my way up on the Ss but need to take a break to get some housework done first. Later all. Thanks for the great clues for some ungettable words. Hasta La Pasta.
Hursh!! Mwthinks I got it..monkey typed stuff and it took, plus a plurall,.YAY
Hursh - 1en
Morning!
later Minski
ty
Well, at least you're not having to resort to headscarves!
BTW...all you Brits. Am reading an Eliz. George novel..and she uses GUSS..a lot..what is it?
yw - its another not-in-the-dic one, and it's also a german word, well the singular is
i found it already :)
I'm much relieved! The colouer is quite good actuallt but as I'm naturally dark - It's taking me a long time to go blonde!
can you tell me, are there any r words that use re as an actual prefix, as opposed to an integral part of the word?
I have no idea what GLISS is Liana unless it's a brand name.
hurshy, 2 re's...
Ooooooh...guss..used as a verb I believe..snowy
not gliss
snowyowl, hi! :-) i'm trying to make out what your icon is.....refer to the long message i just posted re: icons, a little further down the page, if it's still here? ja; i see it is.....for now; hurry.....lol; you can upload bigger pics now, and have them display much larger, in your bio page.....so then we might be able to read it? ;-)
Can't you "gussy" up... like get dressed up?
We must move in the wrong circles. I've never heard of the word either.
2 of them (the re's) might Hursh, I'm actually not sure...
if you mean a 5/6 combo, then no :)
i mean, sort of but not really :)
jen..yes..but i think its more like..uh,..absorbing..from the usage..I dunno. Will have to go read some more to make sure I have the word right.
but..thanks
actually, I am stupid... no, the 2 I was thinking of don't mean the do again... SORRY! :)
that's what I meant Hursh
Mikey - its my graffiti one from a few days back -its ancient graffiti from somewhere -I can't remeber where tho! I'm not at home and am using my sisters computer at the moment.
thanks jen and amanda :)
li7 clues anyone?
Hey guys, anyone have a clue for any of the 5 & 6 hi words? I have the one about getting a job, but am stumped after that
jen, what do you need?
guys in the elevator, Jen
jen - elevator operators
ja; actually 'Guss' has several different meanings in our language, some of which would be 'pour', 'shower', 'gush', etc.....'flush', 'deluge', that sort of thing; but it can also mean 'cast' or 'casting'.....as one would do in a mold, and also means 'cast' iron! :-)
thanks! Didn't think that would be a word.
Last me5/12 has me stumped... help?
add not daughter
jera, out of 51 words to go, 9 of them are me's... :)
maybe the word for an elite group of brainiacs, Jera
me+ "male heir"
joined at last!!!!!!
tyvm... mesan wasn't working..
Yay, gooner!
good for you gooner :)
welcome gooner!
welcome to Babble land, gooner!!! :-)
I'm actually working in order today... up to the mi's now!
so...anyone with the hi's?
has any body got any clues for fi any of them please
thanks, how do i get a flag??
hi6 would be some one who'd kill someone for you
billie..try words for making movies.
I have the hi's wassup... whattya need?
well; i think you'd have to fill in your profile information, gooner, including selecting your country location?
they don't take that, snowy
then the flag should appear automatically
sorry wassup plural - people who would kill for you!
thanks, will try now
I think the elevator clue word..is sooooooooo stupid..HAHAHAHA..
Hey! I just noticed my name is in the grid!! :)
any of the 5 & 6 words except for the one about a job
snowy - weird enable dictionary does NOT take assassins
oops ty for pointing that out hurshy - I would have been wondering where it was gone later! LOL
thanks anyway!
people who would KILL for you..yikes..Beyond my ken
Okay, I just say it... hitmen is not a valid word!!
we discussed this last night too
What an honor, jen!
think ive done it, thanks
You did it, gooner!
Oh gooner! What a sweet kitty!
fi 7,44 anyone????????????????????
I'm off guys. Have fun!
he/she's much bigger on your profile page
which one, freckle?
The most not mushy, Freckle
by amandacath
my sons, only got it yesterday!!
(I only have one)
i know, Jera; how can that one not be valid? :-/
Later, amandacath!\
cats are so much easier than dogs. we have 2 dogs and they're ruining my life (ok, a little dramatic, but really)
Mysterious are the ways of the enable dictionary... who can understand it...?
Happy Sunday, all.
Greetings, Judi!
hi judi, love the icon
Hi Judi
hmm; i don't know, wassup.....any dogs we've had (our family) have been very good; very well trained, etc.....but cats? man; they go everywhere they shouldn't, and can't be taught not to.....i'm just glad mine is outside a lot, not wreaking so much havoc in our home here! :-P lol
Speaking of cute kitties... I was spring cleaning & found a box of kitty baby pictures... gotta scan them & use as icons...
my other cat doesn't seem to like this kitten but hopefully it will grow on her!
freckle - two have to do with movies
Mikey, I feel exactly the same way about dogs!
My cats are very well-behaved...
well, maybe we've been unlucky or you've been lucky... our cats were always so good. sure, they sat on the furniture and shed alot, but never had any accidents. our dogs are well trained and pretty good, they're just so stinkin' big!
ganerm
oops
mine are too - i think cats are like kids - if you bring them up right, they usually turn out well
monkeytyped in the chatterbox
Happens all the time, benda
try people who bring you fuel instead, benda
ITA, hurshy...
I'd like another cat but am having a hard job persuading my husband. We had 4 at one time but lost them all in 10 months- heartbreaking. Then we got 5 grandchildren!
yeah, but this time *I* did it...
Oh snowy, how terrible.
Cats - we adopted one and then last fall, we had one adopt us. Just showed up in the yard.
well...does anyone have a hint for ga 6/27? it's driving me crazy
benda - just posted it for you a min ago :)
okay, after numbing my brain looking for someone who would kill for me..Am out to get lunch..ty, all for the clues..they ARE appreciated.
heh..thanks hurshy
bye Liana - lovely to see you again!
man...now I feel *really* dumb (grin)
LOL Jera the grandchildren are lovely -but the cats are easier to feed!
down to one word! te 5/10 anyone?
brief
snowy..and you also....bye
the second fi7,44???????????
te5/10 to speak shortly to someone
the place where they fi4 the fi5
i'm looking for a picture of my dogs. should have been easy enough, but they're all with the kids!
hmm; i love dogs, and have always found them easier to live with than cats.....they learn what not to do, whereas a cat doesn't care, and only lives to please themselves; and i find dog a much better companion, 'cos they can go places and do more with you! :-) we have one here; Heinrich's tiny toy Yorkie, 'Fritz', and i'm getting one of my own again soon.....checking out breeders in the area, and what puppies might be available soon! :-)
ach; that was supposed to be 'where as' :-P
no, mikey, you had it right, actually.
te5/10 rhymes with the vehicle used to carry a dead person
I like dogs too - but other peoples!
many thanx It was there all aong, but I wasn't looking in the right place. Finished. Love the new fireworks thing
well, ja; but i'd intended to type 2 separate words, which also works, anyhow :-P
congrats tarajane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have three pomeranians, also known as pome-hooligans.
it's one word auf Deutsch, 'waehrend'
it's one word in english also, splitting it would be incorrect.
I must have extremely weird cats, or have some sort of special cat-attracting pheromones... I have never had an aloof cat!
but then how many English 2-word tems are one word in German? lol
mikey, perhaps i should have a yorkie! refresh to see my beasts
lol, wassup; maybe so.....might be much easier to manage! :-P
ok, maybe not. it didn't take!
ah, Boxers, wassup, ja; i had to open your bio page to see the photo big enough to make it out! ;-)
if you click on my profile you'll see them bigger
yeah, what you said
well no *wonder*.....lol; not a breed i'd probably have!
jera - i think people with aloof cats are more people who work all day - if you leave a cat alone a lot, i think it decides it doesn't need you and finds its own resources of entertainment, but if you spend time with them, they bond with you. also like people.
and 2 of them together? yikes; like bulls in a china shop, i imagine! ;-)
they are good dogs, just too big for our little house.we also have a 4 year old and a 5 year old (kids) Too busy!
Exactly, it's just a good thing they don't have tails!
lol, ja; your tables would be swept clean, though! ;-)
we had a rottweiler about 6 years ago. he was HUGE! He didn't have his tail docked, so it was like swinging a baseball bat around the house.
Maybe that's it, hurshy, I've always been a homebody
are there 18, or 19, t4's?
me too jera :)
The Sprite wants a dog & asked when she could have one. I told her when she's old enough to be totally responsible for it & leaving me out of it!
not me. I wish i was a homebody. i can never sit still. even now, i'm doing about 5 different things. folding laundry, chatting, babbling, drinking coffee, and i have cookies in the oven
jera, that would be when she's 18 and living on her own...
I multitask at home as well!
Probably wassup
ja; i don't go in for big stocky dogs like that, really.....i will probably get a collie, Doberman or Deutscherschaefferhund, though; but while they're also good sized dogs, they're very intelligent, alert, responsive, trainable dogs.....there are some/many breeds i know i could never live with! :-P i grew up with rough Collies and Dobermans, and they were wonderful dogs :-)
Hey wassup...what is your avatar?
Labs are great as long as you don't mind goofy! :)
And keep it off me when I come to visit! Dogs love smelling me prolly cuz I smell like cats!
stewie griffin from family guy is still showing up for me, but my dogs are in my profile. What are you seeing? :)
bendamalina; you can click on anyone's little pawn type icon to the right of their name to view their bio page, and then you'll see the avatar pic full size :-)
Some of the smaller dogs are cute (practically cats) but they also tend to be noisy. That would be dangerous for the dog if it were around me much...
LOL Jen - My son & his wife have just had a lab. If she grows into her paws they are in big trouble! She has completley cured the children of their fear of dogs tho'!
i think the smaller dogs have a lot more attitude too. our big dogs are silent!
ah, i guess it's the family guy thing
lol, Jen; the Labrador Retriever is one of the breeds i know i couldn't live with.....big, goofy and klutzy; any i've been around tend to knock things over and get in the way all the time, seeking attention and/or food constantly, it seems! :-P
oh, he's in a diaper. i love him. :)
it's small, so it looked a little like a character from a very cute japanese video game i like to play
We had a German Shepherd when I was a kid... best dog in the world (not that I'm biased)... he was a retired military dog & spookily well-trained. He'd sleep with a child but rip an attacker to shreds!
my lab is awesome with everyone and everything... except other dogs! I guess if that's the worst of him, then I can handle it.
jera, that's what i want.
Mikey, ours is actually LESS clumsy than our cat! LOL
ok looks like the map site is back up if anyone wants to add themselves
Can someone please help with the gr 9
hello!
union soldiers, leigh?
:P
whats up
oh sure, Jen; the labs i've met and know are very sweet natured, friendly dogs, and great with everyone and everything.....just too big and boisterous/klutzy for my liking, to have in our home.....but it's all personal preference, of course! :-)
my dogs are hilarious. i startled the puppy (she's 10 months, but bigger than her mom) this morning and she jumped over the couch.
gr9,72 is a killer, can anyone help?????????
wow, Jen; sounds like you have an exceptional lab, then? :-)
Not getting it. *eyes grid*
Yeah, Mikey, he's great. (except for the bad breath and stinky farts)!!
amen on that one jen
great clue hurshy! This grid is full of 'males'!
Oh, got it. =)
lims
freckle - if you have gr6, add guys to the end.
lol, Jen!!! ewwww; glad i'm not there to smell that! :-P
sorry !!!! Monkey typing!
I wish we could enlarge the frappr map... eastern US is just a mass of picks!
jera, you can zoom in
Jera, what is this 'frappr' thing i keep hearing about?
hello, btw
yeah Jera...I zoomed in and put my marker exactly on my street
hi

It's a map that shows where everyone lives

hi all who've just joined us!
Jera, click on the +/- scale on the lefthand side
oh, i see; thanks, tndaisy! :-)

hmm; so, how do you join and add yourself to the map?
Did it, thanks! I have it on country size so I can see everyone
Go to website & sign up, Mikey!
i have the same quest as that of mikeyinberlin
mikey...sign up with frappr and then you can add yourself
je5: large plane plus opposite of off

I want to add a place on the map... can I do that?
na 7/48?
little yucky things, wassup
thanks jera!
ga6/27 anyone?
tridaisy... i didn't know it could zoom in that much, so i zoomed in on my marker and apparently i live in the middle of a park :)
hi 6/21 (both) & hi 7/36? I've been monkeying...no luck
Guys bringing you fuel, barge
hey folks, i'm back, searching for a ti/6 that is not a plural of something to measure hours
great, thanks!
Is frappr down again or is it just me?
i'm doing ok with it
That's the only one I have baobab
I tried to add Washington DCthen it flaked out on me!
plural of the little squiggle above the open quote
there are two more ti/6 out there somewhere...
or past tense of the last ti4
hurshy, you're soooo good
ssshhh, i'm not really here
i'm now 2/3 for the ti/6s (i'm not here either, it must be your overactive imagination at work)
Hi all (im not here either!!) Just poppiing in to see you all
Hi caitlyn
Hi caitlyn
So, what IS the meaning on 'liff' ? :)
of
is anyone else getting the connecetion error?
Just quite slow for me
I have the me5/12 of mr.haggard, and I have the gifted society me5/12, does anyone have the other two?
liff's not in my dictionary or list of words, connection is really slow
I found it slow today
LeslieAnn...you can move your marker
What is this map you are talking about?
i'm out. see you all later!
I lost the connection - all is well now tho
Bye wassup
caitlyn....www.frappr.com/babble It lets us show where we all live:)
bye wassup
Jee, take the last vowel off of Mr. Haggard's name
got that one, but thanks for trying.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
Thanks tndaisy I will have a look at that
yo
how about the ts/4?
tri... i'm a little creeped out that it could be exactly where i live... i think i'll keep it in the park :)
try me+ "male offspring"
I still haven't got that 9...totally stumped.
lol gotcha
ts: old Russian ruler
Thanks Jen that was one of them...:)
kick, if the govt. gives you money to do something, it's a gr*** + plural + not boys but ***
i must be blind because i cannot find a way to spell that accurately, and i've tried just monkey typing and none are being accepted
hi mom
baobab, it goes up and to the left
unless, of course, i would actually look LEFT instead of right... sheesh
de6/24 is driving me crazy, any help?
ga 6, 27 hints
Barge, put de li4 in the coconut and drink it all up
de+green citrus fruit
LeslieAnn (my mother's name, by the way)...I can't see the last part of your hint.
ra
ga6/27 people who bring you fuel.
of course! thank you!
lol JeeWhiz - was just about to give the same clue
if a group of boys were over 18 you'd call them ***
didn't even know that was a word before.
I know I'll need the fish for this one, but the er4?
has anyone got the 8 and 9 letter words? ive not been able to come up with anything so far
er + sesame **
Ha! Thanks, got it...I was thinking along the lines of "not boys = girls :)
add abbreviation for street
jee, great clue on the de 6 :)
thanks, thought I'd tried that one. :)
yw kick
RA8/55 - Alexander's RA***** band (earlier clue).
Erm...how do people know the second letter of their requests for hints?
thanks Leslie Ann, it sticks in your head, doesn't it?
sigh... yes *dancing around*
kick, I use a 2nd letter list from brandyjack
I'm looking for the me 5/12 that isn't the geniuses, the haggard, the subatomic particle, or the plural blackbirds
kick, in the "friends of babble" links below, go to either lickety's babble clues or babblers anonymous, then click general, then click stats
Just crossed the halfway mark :)
ah, thanks
that will help you a lot!
benda...in the mud
Bendamalina, is it either the first or second me word? That is the me5/12 that I need.
yes JeeWhiz--it's the 2nd or 3rd me word... kickstart..in the mud?
oh! I got it!!!!
me 5/12: honors or awards, or to be worthy of something

funny thing is i think i gave someone clues about those last two hours ago, i don't know what happened, maybe a site glitch...
yes, sometimes the computer eats the words.
it's very bad when that happens cause of course you don't look for words you've already found!
yup, i just found a couple i already entered as well...

oh, it's raining in the pacific northwest today, so we are staying inside watching TV and babbling away... I don't mind since it means I don't have to water the plants we put inyesterday.
it's beautful down here in SLC Stid:)
hi daisy! didn't see you there! I bet it's pretty (but not as green...)
well it's not raining, at least....altho it did sprinkle just a lil bit earlier today...but the MAN still got some projects done
na7.28??
good for the MAN LOL and are you well today?
hi 6/21? (not the singular)?
It was really raining at home this morning I drove 110 miles to the football and it was a really sunny and hot day
plural of mean people, tiger
re5 and re6 are killing me....... HElp!!!!!!!!!!!!
silver -- something that is not nice is na*** -- make it a plural
I keep forgetting about one of the double letters. I need the fish please.

freckle, to send something again? re + a baseball ****, drop a t
mean people?
ohh
THANKS.
I've been inside all day -- just taking it easy since it's raining and too wet to work outside. It feels good to just relax today.
yw
oh! I was told to ask you stid...how often do you change your hummingbird feeder, since they seem to be ignoring it? I change mine once a week
li6/21 hints
plural of a li 5/12... if you have a corona you might want to li*** it up
I haven't changed it in a couple weeks... usually I only change them when they go dry! LOL but this year I put them out earlier than normal. Do you think they spoiled from lack of use?
just get a little bleach and clean them out with that. and of course rinse them very well after.
thanks daisy! will go out and grab them in a while so they are dry before tomorrow. :-)
they'll love you for it, i'm sure
I think I'm going to grab the whole log and search for clues... I miss being able to just "page back" until I find what I need. brb
freckle? did you get that li?
hurshy can u gimme a clue 4 that!!
ye i got the li
The first he6,24... Is relally giving me gas! Can anyone spare a hint??????????????????????????????????
katieW -- just saw your comment about the rain... did the match go well? did your team win?
add a different consonant to the end of the li4 fruit
and then plural
he 6/24 is past tense of the 4 before it
Yes they one 2-1 and it was the last game of the season so it was really good. Very strange happenings with the other team and food poisoning though.
ew, don't want that, freckle... past tense of he 4/5
*won*
oh dear, food poisoning is no fun. Too bad it spoiled their day. But glad your team did well. :-)
cheers hurshy! legend!
it was the team we hate the most so we weren't that bothered but their fans weren't happy at all :) At one point it looked like the game would be cancelled, then I wouldn't have been pleased with a 220 mile trip for nothing
hursh, ever since you gave that clue about the little mermaid i've had those songs running through my head
ty hurshy for that clue... down to 54
I like it when I make up words and they work. :-) Hello!
hi knut
hi knutmeg! how's all?
Hi knut, its always worked for me in my career :)
***Liv***
sa 6/18 and 7/28
We're doing good. At a friend's house, gaming. Lots of babies here to play with and what is Liv doing? She's asleep. Silly baby.
ah, sweet child. Dont' worry -- she'll have plenty of time to play... :-)
the sa 6/18 is like sa*** claus only change the last vowel and add a consonant. plural for the 7
I'm not too sad, she needed a nap really bad, and the other babies are a *LOT* more mobile than she, so I don't have to worry about her as long as she is sleeping.
that's good. how's Seth holding up with the new schedule?
sigh... fi 7/44? i have the people who make movies and the most unsoft
have the re - 8 /40, need help w/2nd one
ti6/21 hints plz?!?
ti 6/21: plural of ~
freckle, one is a plural (like an egg ti***) and the other is a past tense (of the one that rhymes with the opp. of boy)
I have an re 8/48? there's an re 8/40?
according to my word list there is
where does it say the point values of the words you're mssing?
re 8 /40 clue deep in tone

i'm sure it was an accidnet
i don't think that was freckle, think it is a glitch?
Ahh, there. Have all my flowers and herbs planted. Can now return to Babbling. *turning blind eye to ironing - for the moment*
but freckle, there are 27 r's total, 10 from the first row one and 17 from the third row one
clue for 7 /40 then
hi Judi! ironing? what's that? LOL
i mean 11 from the r in the top right corner
(left)
there are only ten possible from the r in the top left corner... the 7/40 comes from that one. It is a compound word... ra* + ti 4
If only the wrinkled look was in, Stidmama. Think the workplace would frown upon that, tho. Curse my love for cotton, anyway!
is that possible, stid? i can't get a t connected to that a
oh -- my workplace IS my garden... plants don't care how well pressed I am as long as they get enough water...
oh wait, i didn't read right nvm
ME512 hints???
of course, when I have to go into town, I change into something less wrinkly -- jeans and sweater LOL
one little lonely one left... hi 6/21 (not the one with the plural)??
one little lonely one left... hi 6/21 (not the one with the plural)??

Freckle did you get the ra 7 and 8?
stidmama ra7 and 8 are a form of american jazz
don't have any hi 6, LeslieAnn *waits for clues*
so, the new babble chat log doesnt work for me. sometimes it shows up., sometimes there is a blank space. I have to refresh the page to possibly get it.
yes, freckle, that's right. :-)
I sitll cant find the sa long ones. but thanks.
stidmama, thanks for the clue on the ra words, I'm still not sure it's not a made up word though!
I use opera

anyone know what gr9,72 is
stidmama thnxs for clue got all 8 words now
Eren, I don't know enough about other browsers to help, sorry -- but I know it frustrating.
noble, if the govt. gives you money to do something it's a gr*** + plural letter + when boys grow up they are ***
If I use firefox the game grid flashes between the grid and the chat log (like the chat log shows up where it is and where the grid is every time someone posts
sigh.
g
sorry, thanks!
oh that is weird, eren... have you e-mailed dr. g yet?
Eren...email Dr God and ask for his help. He may not even know about the Opera bug, since most folks here use either IE or Firefox
Hi Babblers... I definitely like this new site! Leslie Ann: switch the last two letters of your h6 and voila.. you have the other one!

Sorry, dont know what happenned there
but congrats!!
dr God -- why does freckle's post keep doing that? when I try to enter an empty chat it tells me to put something in first!
katie, re + not daughter but *** + a picnic pest
LeslieAnn, I couldn't comprehend your clue before Freckle bumped it and it takes forever for the log to load. I am stumped. :-(
LeslieAnn, TY TY TY, and whilst I recognise it as a word I don't think it's a complete fish moment
YAY Freckle!
if you take the re off you'll have another....
i don't think you ever need a fish on an 8-letter word
greetings
whats a fish?
hello harpjane
fishes -- things that are so obvious in retrospect a toddler would get it -- like a tunafish sandwish
thats me finished
oh
Yeh Sha - congrats
YAY sha!
thanx katiew
need 2 more j's!
TaTa Babblers - must run and do an update, postponed for the sake of BABBLE (-: Today was a fun grid, I thought. See you tomorrow, I hope. (-:
thanx stidmama how u doing?
babble slang... you get slapped with the fish of obviousness (i think) if you miss something easy, say you have the singular but not the plural
later Aloyisius! :-)
afternoon all. just started and have my non typing fingers crossed that i shall finish!
hi bbnaz. I think you can do it! :-)
any clues for ra8,55
hooray for sha!
bye aloyisius
LeslieAnn -- monkeytyped them... ty. the clues are almost fishlike in retrospect ;-)
thanx leslie
stidmama, you may have misunderstood the origins of the fish - i will explain in a moment
it's not raining at the moment, so will go retrieve my hummingbird feeders. brb
Noblelover LeslieAnn gave a clue at 3.48
ra 8/55 - compound word - what you wash dishes with + what a clock tells you
thats for re i need ra
ty
argh... my chat is lagging something awful... i think i will call it a day. bye folks!

I didn't notice til now, I like the new change in the profiles, enlarging of the icons.
I better go, I've got a paper to write for tomorrow and it's getting late. Only 26 left so hopefully will bbl to finish
okay does anybody else get the occasional red box here saying word couldn't be added and to contact the good Dr?
and what is the avatar today?
I've only gotten that red box when I had accidentally clicked "work offline", bbnaz
sports
haven't clicked any "work offline" function that I know of and I am always surprised when the box shows up in the chat log for me........does anybody else see it between Noblelover and LeslieAnn?
anyone know li7,44
sports is today's avatar?
sports is the theme, yes
tyvm
li 7/44 - compund word - to raise + opp of lady
bye all see u tomorrow : )

Guess I'll get to unless anyone needs a clue?
any one got a clue for te7,28
te7/28 is the person who resides in a rented property
te 7/28 - plural of te 6/18 before it, someone who rents an apartment
anyone have the first ti5/12?
thax
it's and anagram of the 2nd ti 5/12, switch last two letters
thanks bunny!
welcome
ra7,40 is a bugger
i always thought that was spelled with an a...guess you learn something every day
Noble, have you not gotten it yet?
nope
noble--music that preceded jazz.
ra 7/40 - ra 4/6 with the s + you look at your watch to see the ****
ty
bendamalina, the first te, is a key on the keyboard, used a lot in spanish ~\
make that the first te5/12, ~
oh, i got it harpjane, thanks!
this wasn't a very difficlut board today I thought, no off-the-wall words.
See ya'll tomorrow.
anyone got a clue for sa7,28
I like the big boards usually' the words come easier. Lots of suffixes today and not many prefixes. That's my idea of a good grid!
jet
mybad i ment that to be on board
back. bye bunnyvicious
'sokay noblelover, 'snot a word anyway!
harpjane, you just used a word!
no harpjane, but you said one! ROFL
bye bunny, thanks for your help!
sa 7/28 - a + insect + third vowel + const (best I can do, reminds me of the word center)
bye
hey, and I got fireworks
*giggle* i LOVE this game!
YAY bendamalina!
and that was supposed to be S + insect + third vowel + cons
cool! now I have to go find it!
santir
i think bunny is hooked on chat :D
LOL, yuuuup
or not, harp.
well, technically, I didn't say a word. I was using a colloquialism that also happend to be a word....(grasping for dignity, I am....)
maybe a liiiitle....
i'm on your side of that one, harp :)
thanks harb and bunny
heh heh heh...it's fun to give clues
whatever. either way, I got one more word out of the deal!
well, harp, to be honest, one of my boys is in the grid today, and I used his name without even thinking earlier!
so did i stidmama, i said yay for him :)
oo, it's almost time for This American Life!
so do you think dr g will adjust this board so that words don't inadvertantly crop up? lord knows i do it more than i mean too
who got a clue for hi7,36
well I am stumped... I have 166 words left ... I dont have any of the O words and its making me nuts ... well more so than usual. any clues to the 3 O word's?
*that's going to drive harp crazy because he's not online anymore*
i think that dr g wants all of the users to adjust their actions instead, bbnaz
AN o word is A number
mimred - just count
on5,10=on+sun***-sun
bbnaz - he has no plans to, because he feels that people will get used to it. if that doesn't happen, who knows? maybe he will change his mind.
on4: plural of the first numeral
I'm getting used to it, besides I don't mind if I get a few accidental clues...
anyone got a clue for hi7,36?
I prefer to use the mouse as little as possible so the new board makes one less mouse click for me!
hi7/36 is the past tense of hi6/21
which one o.0?
BAH! there is no RE 8,40
having a pleasantly full sound, as a bell or a good voice
re+not daughter but ***+ pinic pest
youcan do it naz
well slap me upside the head..............(checking for any words that may have slipped)
*slaps naz*
what are the first two letters of the 9 letter word

Oops, I need so5/18, I mean!
Had the wrong box filled in!

end of re8
o dpmp
i don't have a 5,18
can't type either obviously
there is no so 5/18
Yikes, I'm really messing up *huge SIGH* I need help with so6/18, please!
the pesky critter at the picnic Jera
and the SO + upside down "U"
*tries to think of a pesky critter that starts with so*
jera - i clued it right after you asked for 5/18
SO + upside down "u" + three letter critter that is nasty
at picnics
Got it... male child of picnic pest?
Jera first the male heir then the picnic pest
that will do! i am quite obtuse on my clues i know it.
BBnaz dont give up. I am laughing my head off.
*giggling with bbnaz*
I will leave you nice people alone now until I get really depsperate... then hide quickly!
But before I go.. inge said a wooooord... inge said a wooooord... in a clue, no less!!
was just going back through as much of the chat log as would load for me, and saw that Sprite's fatherinlaw died last night...
dagnabbit, i am trying to appear erudite and failing miserably no?
Actually TWO WORDS!!
bbnaz, whats a phx?
*dives back into grid*
besides, erudition is highly overrated...
PHX = Phoenix and that is the logo for the Phoenix Suns who smacked Kobe Bryant down last night!
Well, wasnt it my turn to goof?
TY. can you tell I don't watch much sports?
so does anyone have the gr9?
sorry but i am working from the bottom up........and it is time to reup my bottom
of course, start with a 19th century president and then add his male protecotors
dr_God, if you're listening, the chat log is not loading for me after about 3:13....
i am down to 38.... but it's slow going without the list.
that's a firefox glitch, stidmama, he's working on it
anyone know the clues for both hi6,21?
thanks hurshy. poor Dr_god... this is a lot of work!
Stidmama, is that the moment Kallias list disappeared?
i don't know -- I logged out of it because it was bogging down my connection.
you mean AM, stidmama, not PM, right?
Yes, she couldnt reach Dr. G so I sent him an SOS and he came onto the log telling us that the server had had a tantrum. I left soon thereater.
yes, AM...

gr9--people who write gr6/24
those hi's are so hard to clue! but... you never need to leave the bottom right square of nine letters, if that helps
sorry noblelover... both hi 6/21 begin with the same three letters that sound like the opposite of "him" the last three letters are the plural letter followed by a consonant and a vowel; then add the letter in the corner for the 7
Thank you, Hurshy. As always, your huge brain eclipses mine own.
o.0
nah, judi, it's just easier to see the word when you have the word :)
hi
im not getting the clue stid
best I can think of without actually spelling them out, sorry noblelover.
hi 6: first three letters of two preceeding words, then snake, stick and second vowel,

DR. GOD: I keep getting an "unresponsive script" message whenever the page reloads or I return from a trip to A2Z, etc. I have a choice to "stop script" or "continue". I have to hit continue at least 4 or 5 times to get the Babble page to fully reload again. I turned off my pop-up blocker thinking this might be the problem. No change or improvement after doing that.
he knows, judi :) a bunch of us have it, and it's getting worse
okay, I need two more 6s, 8 5s and 13 4s 23
he's working on it :)

peri, fi= first and last letter are the same with the 3rd vowel and the 2nd vowel

I just got a variant of a flat, leavened bread of northwest India, made of white flour and baked in a tandoor
even joining the collective hasn't removed that last trace of his origins, LOL
thanks hurshy

Now I know what a luge is, I must get me one. Ta Hursh
It's not good to make your age available on a chatboard with strangers when you're a minor...
my theory is that it becomes pretty obvious if someone is a kid, and i think if we know who the kids are we can give them easier clues and also look out for them in terms of weirdos.
Just passed the halfway point too! *stifles a swoon*
yes, hurshy and Douglas, you are both right. I try to be on the chat when my kids are playing, but...
torgone, you were at 10% not long ago

ti6,27 last one??
Is there a way to tell how badly I'm doing in comparison to everyone else?
Temple - Not seen Renny, no.
anyone have any hints for thw two hi 6/21?
down to 1 word need se6/18 pl
Actually, there isn't, ourika, you just have to shout out your shame for all the world
Did someone ask for a list of the ti words? Or rather clues for them?
I'm only at 56 words with 173 left :(
Okay, I'm going to try to be sociable again. Last time was completely fruitless. HI EVERBODY!!!
hi--- ersl <-- be dyslexic
ourika - you can always see yesterday's puzzle and how many points everyone had.
hilsre
Ourika, please don't put that idea into Dr_G's mind! LOL.
Hi you fellow Smithckick!
clues for it jacula
hi
omg sorry about that wrong box!
gwenski - that's a great idea, thanks!
Any particular ti, Silvertiger or all of them?
last one
ourika, the only way to tell is to ask. but there's no such thing as doing badly. it's a personal best thing. I try to complete four or five grids a week, some people try to complete every single grid, some people are happy to get 50 words a day.
6,21
Hey shutterbug! I was beginning to think I was invisible! I've only been gone a few weeks and ...
On further review, ourika, there is not only no way of telling how many words each Babbler has, there is also no way of telling how much time each Babbler has wasted, er, I mean, invested playing Babble for a particular day...
se6/18: fall baseball classic, world se****
harpjane - I'd like to get to 75, but I'm curious as to what averages are. This is only my second try.
29 words left
w00t
hi smith and harp and gweski and ahyone else just joining - or just revealing him or her self! : )
jacula?
HI, TO! How goes it?
despite my mistake, still nto getting either HI 6/21s
The rankings page is interesting but it won't really tell you either. But 75 is good for your second day! (We can all quit any time, honest.....)
tks gwenski i got fireworks
anyone know the last ti 6,21
its really bothering me
chrome they are both anagrams of your "booboo"
jacula are you still there
Silvertiger - ti6/21 pl. of the 5 before it, which is a squiggly accent placed over the 'n' in Spanish and vowels in Portugese.
chrome---hers with an i, and add an le/el
The people who hang out on the chat log generally get more words than the people who don't, but there is also rampant clue giving. It might not be a bad idea to have three sections, the iron solvers who use neither the chat log nor the list, the people who use the list but not the chat log, and the wimps such as ourselves...
i could use some help plese on i words - execpt for the thing and the plural
whats the accent called
Or, Silvertiger, ti6/21, past tense of the word before it, which means to make a rattling sound by twirling or shaking.
noblelover, the last ti6/21 is past tense of the word before it. The word after it is plural
go wimps!!
jacula, you know the points we et, how come they go down even though i have finished the grid yesterday, i have lost a point
well.. i am missing 4 Ts
I just browsed to the archives. You USED to be able to see what each player got on each puzzle. Has that feature been removed with the new version?
and 5 from the other
there are also those electrically charged things and that one about getting one's dander up with the plural letter.
That's on the i's TO
no idea jac
fish, please! : )
On the other hand, we do have a lot of jolly fun chatting
Scatty - Not being mathematically minded, I still don't have a clue as to how the points work. Sorry!
i's all done : )
any hints for the en4/6?
thanks so much!
The Help icon has some information as to how the points work
i thought you might have known as you have been playing alot longer than me, not to worry, one day we will understand how it all works.
YO hurshy whats so6 18
en 4/6 is like the plural of the abbreviation for a language
thanx!
Douglas - I know! If only I understood it! LOL. There's a word for people like me who are mathematically challenged but I can't recall what it is.
or anyone else that has a clue
i don't like this new box, if you write more than a couple of lines you can't see what you have written until you send it
It's like being 'word blind' (dyslexic) but is a different word.
whats So 6,18?/
so 6/18 is related to re 8/40
I'm missing the second fi 7/44
Innumerate?

Douglas - That would be a correct term but it isn't the one I was looking for. LOL.
the other fi 7/44 are the people that make the movies

noblelover - ti6/21 - past tense of the ti4 which means to make a rattling or tinkling sound by shaking something.
ty
it means 'son' or the younger after someone's name
I already have that one, silvertiger
Think of the phrase 'Give us a tw***!' when said to someone wearing a new outfit and remove the 2nd letter.
oh, and i was so impressed with my creative clue
a place where they make movies?
Yes, that's an fi 7/44
I'm off to bed, its past two now, and i'm starting to waffle, good luck and good night everyone, night Jacula, night stid, night lover
Douglas - hot flaming thing.
No, not you! LOL. It was a clue for fi4/7.

I have the hot flaming thing, the other fi 4/7 right next to it...

Why, thank you, FranMag!
any help with the g9?
g9 - union soldiers?
re 8/40? please.
ooooh, good clue hurshy!

re 8/40 having a pleasantly full sound, as a bell or a good voice
g9 - Think of a US general or a UK actor called Hugh Gr***, then add plural adult males.
re 8, 40... resounding.
another great clue hurshy! best so far for that one
Could the he 5/18 be considered as "heavinesses?"
Thank you got it.
yessss
Good to see you again, hurshy!
Douglas - the he5/18 is more about heaving things about.
mesa
Oops, Svet!
svet did it too!
Could I get a clue for the first e on the bottom row?
mesa

sorry, just typing. d'oh, head slap.
Well, if you can beat them, join them!
left e: he5/18 - h
Got all the he's

I **** me to the Babble grid, My chances for to take...
yay douglas!
el4/5 - Of, relating to, involving, or designed for use in grades 1 to 12. Sounds more like a race of people from a Star Wars type fi4/8 or se6/18, though.
Little thinking that my mind, the grid would surely break...
lol
douglas - can you maybe make a profile, and maybe put your email in it for a sec so i can get it? i know i don't like to keep mine posted and maybe you feel the same way...
...The grid smashed Dougie's vanity,
If I get the second hi 6/21, Rejoicing will resound
His mind and sanity
switch the last two letters of the other one, douglas
For then all of the h's
He'd no idea when he logged on
I surely will have found

That he'd end up 'doggone'!
ug, finally got the gr9 - thanks!
stidmama - did you finish? listlessly?
I was thinking about that hurshy, I have that on my to-do list

no :)
i did not finish yet, 13 to go but had to make dinner . Have a few minutes while the fish cooks... 5 s and 8 m to go!

I have "half"
se5/10 - UK religious leader who founded the Sister of Charity.

Yes, FranMag
stephen foster????
Good night everyone, I have to go now
For me4/5, 5/12,6/21,5/12 think of Me*** Oberon and vary the spellings. To me, here in UK, they are various ways of describing a white marbled colour in the coats of sheepdogs.
Bye, wizard...
bye, wiz...
rieg
Temple - Did you get to speak to Ren?
Oh, and btw, Temple, that's not a word. ROFLOL.

well, im missing a couple from half of the letters, and it seems too much to figure out which ones im missing
hurshy: i LOVE weirdos...and they seem to be attracted to me, too!
no i meant with the calculus - or did you mean that figuring out was as hard as calculus?
if any clues are needed, just ask
congrats, georgiaj
no... im actually doing calculus
what's the prob?

ok so you need the product rule
ugh...okay that was a fun clue with the hi's, but thinking I have none of them - :)

i did it by pretending that the 2 didnt exist and just got 3cos3x-4sin4x
why not?
too busy i guess
pretending the 2 doesn't exist!!!
Oh! Doesn't she, Hursh. That's a shame! Did her daughter say why?
yeh, so then i can deal with the 2 later, but now im just confuzzled
you didn't chain rule the insides of the trig functions, silver.
no you did
Oh well, it's true the Babble can take up far too much of your waking day if you let it (and even intrude on your dreams, too!)
but you didn't put on the v and the u in the product rule part
u'v + uv'
oh
how do u know calculus?
i give up - list here i come!
i teach it.
really?
yes
Best plan is to make a blank grid on paper and photocopy it. Then, you don't even have to sign in, if you don't want to, to write the letters for the day down. You can then go away and put in words at random on paper. Eventually, when you have time, you log in and try your luck.
do you get it now or should i go in more detail?
u dont mind helping me with more do u?
not at all - unless we might be annoying people? have you got AIM?
silvertiger4388
Hursh! RESPECT! As UK's Ali G would say!
tiger - where r u from? i ddin't understand your answer...
oh, camden
respect?
wow u are close!
booyakasha
i am back again... 10 to go. 3 s and 7 m
Hursh - it meant you scored a point! LOL.

i don't mind seeing calculus, though I no longer understand it!
Hursh - it also meant that you know what you are talking about there and I respect you.
Not sure I EVER understood calculus though.;-/
ty jac :)
bye for now - back to finish after grey's anatomy
later, Temple Owl!
BTW, Hursh.. How did you wangle your way out of forgetting to teach your class that day a few weeks ago? I also wanted o say that my eldest cat is also a Dairy Queen, like yours. No. 2 cat is a carnivore.

Help on ga6?
can someone help me with ti 5/12 the one after the sqabble, please
If cheese is being cut... she is right there. If meat or anything vaguely fatty is being cut... then both cats are there. Mind you, cats NEED fat in their diet as an absolute essential.
ga6 --males who fill your tank with fuel
Hursh - but what did you say to them as an excuse, as opposed to what you said to your boss, unless you are the boss, rather than teaching at a private school.
thank you
ti5/12 is the little squiggly line in the top left corner of your keyboard
I am not making any progress... hurshy -- do you want to hold my hand through this, or shall I go get the list? I don't mind either way, but am too eye-tired to keep monkeytyping.
could not see that at all
I love cats, we have 2 and one has a sweet tooth and the other just savory stuff, Funny how they are.
ti5/12 - a squiggly mark put over the 'n' in Spanish and vowels in Portugese.
hmmm...i do want to stidmama but i'm doing some calculus handholding at the moment... jac, can you help stid with her missing s's and m's?
Hurshy - I will try!

ti5/12 is the squiggly line in the corner...next to the one
Guess many of us know what you mean. But not how you're feeling right now, exactly. Well, how could we? But (((HUGS))) anyway.
Jacula, I am so dense tonight .. can you illuminate the types of rice maybe? and is this a clue for an s or an m?
Stidmama - let'a try to find what you are missing now...

The types of rice, Stidmama - were a ti word.

I don't know joey -- i am listless today... trying to finish that way...

Yea, BJ, if you're in here, I'm talking too much, like you said earlier. This time though, I have all my words, so no fear of slipping up twixt grid and chat box. LOL.
yuck, yuck, yuck! *shivers up and down spine jut thinking about it*

My first fireworks in the new grid!!! very satisfying. Almost makes up for not being able to access the whole chat log, getting bounced from the chat log period for a while, constant messages about unresponsive scripts (what's that when it's at home, I ask you?) and other strange gremlins. I suppose it will settle down after a while and I'll get more used to it.
YAY Eva!
Congratulations Eva!!!!

lol im missing this completely -- last one though!
chrome - ti6/21 is plural for the guy who keeps the clock at a race
Isn't it supposed to be the other way around....
looking for 2nd 6/21; haha struggle to the very end
What clock?
can't keep my eyes open -- catch you on the flip side of the moon! be safe all.
Rhymes with the whole wide *****
chrome - plural of a punctuation mark
Chrome -- you want ti + hook letter + tall letter... plus past tense letters, I think
Stid, I have one of my thick moments coming on: you tell me the last ti6/21 isthe past tense of the ti4/4 just before it, but I don't see how that can be made to work. What am I not seeing?
Hi all.... May I please have clues for SA 6/18 and 7/28?
haha i just realized there were 3 ti 6/21 and not too; looking for 3rd and ur all amazing and im a very sad babbler right now
OH THANK YOU mama - I could not think of the codes to save my life!
Anyone want a Vodka & Tonic???

speaking of winners, did anyone else besides Helen and me watch the Derby yesterday?
later, Chrome!
ight! Just to follow what you sai about hooks and so on, then also nrkii your hint works also. Thank you both
Waiting to flip. Sad but true.
I LOVE the priorities!
ok - hi 6/21 , 6/21 & 7/36 ?
I forgot all about it! First one I've missed in I don't know how many years! Just too busy trying to combine households!
yep, hootowl -- sure can tell which of us are of "strong puritan stock" and which are more lackadaisical! LOL
mama - I love you! :D
oh, maybe you can find a replay somewhere, it was really impressive. The winner even looked like he was going to fall to the middle of the pack for a while!
Helen, the first two sound like a car used at a funeral, with a stick consonant on the end.
I'm in Tenn. They are not part of the real world!
For those two, switch the last two letters to get two different spellings.
For the 7/36, make the second 6/21 past tense
I'm sorry helen - not paying attention.
Spelling is iffy but nrkii's clue is good
Helen, looks like you've got plenty of willing cluers!
ty must have monkey typed all around those combinations -- done
Okay, gotta get up and start the new week in less than 6 hours. Thanks for the hints all. G'night!
good night, nrkii!
Congrats Helen!!!

Does anyone else besides me think that with the "fireworks", our congrats, are superfluous? Or vice-versa?
yep - i'll be here :)
I think they're nice both of 'em!
no hoot - i like to get all the props i can
I'm stuck on words starting with E. Any clues?
almost a ghost - if you don't write a message - you are
which ones!
sorry yoda, what was that again?
i was giving a ti hint
ef=baby newts
The E on the right on the bottom row.
tsei, there is one that resembles the opposite of "youngs"
hetty -- how are you doing?
el = the older members of a community, el = greeting and a shade tree
lol - i didn't see almostaghost - neat name - bye now
those = are supposed to be +++++
First em = Iranian ruler

Hey ghost - are you a female too?
Dr god is tingy with his volunteer icons!
stingy
Come on people - 2 Vodka & Tonics does NOT mean I can't clue!
no i'm not
Well...maybe the weird ones......

blech. vodka. blech blech tonic. belch.
ok ghost - finally caught up with your answer! In spite of icon (courtesy of (Dr god) I am female!
mama - you got no class! :D:D:D
Stingy cause I'm NOT male and thats all he gave us!
class? *reaches for her mochajavachocolatte* I'll show you class! *sprinkles almond slivers and chocolate shavings on the whipped cream topping*
mama - you have NO IDEA how revolting that is to me!
oh -- I just thought it was short hair! LOL -- you can't tell from my icon today which of us is which, but one is me with long hair, and the other my gr*** with curly hair!
Not a chocolate OR almond person!
Do like whipped cream but in other scenarios........
ooh, hootowl! you're being naughty!
I think a little Kalua in the coffe would work wonders... ;->
sorry hootowl, didn't me to yuck you...
NOOOOOOOOOO! Kalua is just coffee in disguise!
Mama - I think you and I could be really good friends!
How can anyone not like chocolate??
Thanks for asking, stid. I've ground to a halt with the gr9 and my poor old head is beyond going beyond some grand solution that doesn't work. See, even my excuses don't make any sense,. Enjoy your mocha, bloved alter-ego, and I'll see you again tomorrow.
It's easy! Give it up for Lent...Not miss it... Find better substtutes!
I suspect so, hootowl! as long as you don't make me drink likker and I don't offer you coffee! (I usually drink tea anyway).
I bet we could compromise -- hot spiced cider?
That gr9 is a killer. Hello all.
Now wait a minute! I do drink coffee AND tea...but thats for mornings! At night< I want to get sleepy!
hetty -- a clue on the gr 9.... my second son's name gr*** + s + pural males; his name also means "give"
oooh -- okay, that's easier for me to "swallow" LOL
gr6/24 if you rub the magic lamp, the genie will make your wish come true. He gr**** your wih
That gr 9 is a combo
gr5/14 (6/24) + those masculine people floating around
Gee...can you tell I've been drinking??????
Stid, you are amazing. However, I still have 10 words to go and I'll never get them before the flip, so goodnght, sweetheart.Sweethearts all.
good night, dear hetty! you did well today, with all the running around of a Sunday... see you tomorrow.
hitmen should be a word

nornna
It will be someday - you haven't been around long enough to realise hoe "flexible" these words are.
It's not on ebacuse rifle isn't a word
*because
i think i did well for my first babble game
that was your first? well done almostaghost!
Flip
We decided that hitmen wasn't a word because rifle wasn't one either.
