It was fun - the band has a lot of fans, i loved the flashlight choreography in the audience. But the highlight of my modest career was playing the Verdi Requiem under Rober Shaw at Severance Hall about 20 years ago.

Away from finishing, you mean? Or away from the halfway point which all that I can aspire to?
no, mediocrity is halfway thru - i seldom do better than that.
Really? I had you pegged as a fireworks kinda person
Sam, where's you get the icon - it look's like my mom's doggy.
i'm too lazy - also too much time required.

LOL, I am too at times! I reloaded it, let's see if it works this time. Looking through the pic's I found some of my Baby :( She died a few months back.
Isn't she a love! I rescued her from a feral Mom, tried to get all her kit's but was only able to get her.
I can see her :) what a beautful cat. beautiful colour and beautiful eyes!
She is :) She is a sweetie. You know what her fav toy is?
She loves plastic spoons and forks, she will actaullly fetch them
boxes? lol
All I have to say is....I got Sammies fork! And out she comes! Mewing for me to toss it for her!
oh what a sweetheart!
Needless to say, my floors are littered with plastic utensils LOL
I've just changed my pic to my gorgeous Troubleman. Well, he's not mine, he belongs to a good friend, but I just adore him!
she is so so pretty! is she as sweet as she looks there? or is her angel look a complete fake lol
I can't see it yet :( Sometimes it takes my computer awhile. I'll keep refreshing though, I want to see!!
Shalom Hurshy, how's the knee?
She is an angel Ata, a very sweet soul :)

Thanks FMitch! LOL, I need to slow down!
Cat - if a url is longer than 1 line in babble even though you may copy the whole thing, it only pastes the first line.
hmm, ok thanks, I'll try again :)
Hi MrP! - Cat, don't forget the "pg" on the end, I had that problem too. Ata, yours looks like he has some deutsche Hauskatze in him - was off looking for the English name and didn't find it, then remembered you know enough German to conjugate verbs!

Hi Kitty *splash*
Looks like a nice grid today, got 103 words in an hour already... although now I'm getting a little stuck.
hello
your all silent tonight
hi shadowwolf
we're all busy with th grid :)
hello amanda
my brain is a little bit stuned with amount of words. Not used to this big. This is a second time for me
I'm not getting far on the 8's. Have 2 t's - what else is there?
um do u have a type of current (tidal not fruit)
there's a AT
at8 - american lawyer tr8 - break yr leg and they may put it in tr8
ta mitch
there is also a re8 but I can
't think of a clue right now
had the broken leg one, and another t - mineral with a male singing voice? Lawyer ok, looking for the tidal current....
opps that was a really crap clue sorry. um let me try again
there's also an SE8 - similar to the happy chemicals in the brain
Argh, I didn't even have the male singer. That's It, have have to concentrate on the words and not the log.
i get a t..... in my eye if i see something happy.

um mitch is that meaning bygone start with re
Yes re8 Shadow

i have what both my parents are doing now
oh fudge now im screwed i hate qu words ta for the heads up
Well he has the 15 listed under his 2nd letter list so I am presuming there are wods that use it somewhere in them apart from at the beginning, so far I have only found 1 of those.
i hate qu u words and im still having trouble with the bygone re word
I've got two words that have qu in the middle - let's hope that's it!

Hi sprite, Hi movieman
hey, movieman--your icon's one of my favorite guys!
You like Mr. Cusack then, Une?
Hi Penguin....didn't see you there....sorry!
absolutely!
ok...bye guys...gotta go for now...chat maybe later
good luck!
So, which of his movies have you seen, then, une?
Ice Harvest, Runaway Jury, High Fidelity, Being John Malkovich, Grosse Point Blank, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Grifters, etc., etc.
For me it's Con Air, Being John Malkovich, Grosse Pointe Blank, The Grifters, Identity, Stand By Me........
was John Cusack in Stand By Me?
oh, Stand by Me, Identity, and Con Air, too--would love to see him in a play some day . . .
maybe not? but i loved the movie
Say Anything is my favorite (sorry to butt in and good morning)
He was, Grace, he played a character called Denny Lachance......
hmm... don't remember him. My favorites are 16 Candles and Say Anything.
hey, abe!
Very beasty grid today!
good morning uneaixoise! movieman, is it john cusack's birthday today?
movieman, did you see ice harvest?
phantom word: mi5/12 +ity
Abe - yep, he's 40 today...... And Une, not yet, but I will check it out.....
Ice Harvest also has 2 other favorites: Oliver Platt and Billy Bob Thornton!
happy birthday john! and goodmorning sprite and grace

Anyone care to chuck a few cluez in movieman's general direction for the 8's and 9's, plz?
um american lawyer
sandr: 13 Qs today.
oh great - thanks sprite
i got told 15 qus and 15 inside qus
i must say, online bill-pay is my new favorite thing!
hey movieman
They have been pulling your Q-leg, Shadow. Only 13 words start with Q today.
is there any aussies here
i hate qu words sprite i already have chunks of hair missing
im not aussie, but half my relatives have emigrated to your side of the world
Yes
So I have saved some of your hair then, Shadow... now you know you are looking for 2 words less :)
Yes, I am an Aussie!
yep jakesmum we took the regets thanks, and now you lot have the bloody ashes and i think you lot are still in the world cup. RORTED. Hey all the assie peeps
thanks sprite, 2 less chunks to pull out
So, the at8 is one of the biggies, any cluez for the others plz......
i'm sorry to say that all my relatives are in melbourne aswell!
extended group of 5
ahhh - we're all just one happy global community !
mm - theres a qu 9 and a tr 9 - the tr 9 is an alt spelling for italian rest - qu 9 = extend group pf 5
I like melbourne, um jakesmum i wouldn't be suprised if i could be friends with you before six degress. Hey lynxx where u situated
im back over your side next year shadow, so even more Poms invading!!
my parents are poms, u like aus
10km frm Melbourne
lynxx, north south east west?
I love aus! if I had the money I would move there, I especially like your 24 hr shopping and the fact you can lay away for xmas! why can't we do that !!
To all you Aussies out there, can I just say that the referee was a total bastard, I mean, to give a penalty in the last minute of injury time for falling over a defender, it's scandalous!!!!!!
we were robbed!!!!
I' getting scared now!? south east
My husband yelled: "Well, he can't hide under the grass, now can he? He has to stay SOMEWHERE!!" That referee was nuts.
i agree, movieman, that was a horrible horrible call
one more c word!
sorry watching show friend rights for, i think im in your neck of the words lyn at boys house at the mo, i love southland.
morning all- morning abe
Ill be back my grid won't come back up... so much for multiy tasking
fun board today
I thought only the british soccer players did the best soccor acting, aww awww aww i broke a nail its his fault, I love the fact that itallia got ahead despite being robbed
Ok.. Question..Does the QU count as 1 letter or 2?
As 2 in the letter count, Lara.
jakesmum, you dont have layaway where yuou live?
except that italy faked getting fouled in the last 5 seconds of the game against australia!
that was so cheesy!
What about the point count?
hey bluephlox!
no! our stores wont rent the square fottage to do it!
hey sprite your hubby made a good call about hidding in the grass, yep see it now, mole soccor
morning abe
i couldn't live without layaway
hmm... I thought they had that everywhere. Well, why dont you move?
good morining, babblers and soccer fans
too bad ghana is out. it would have been nice for them to go even farther
Same. 'Quart' uses 4 tiles, but counts as 5 letters long and is multiplied like a 5 letter word.
Lol Shadow!
good mrning annie!
blue the refs in the soccor have been rather dodgy. I am glad harry k went batty
yeah, i agree- the us got shafted in the game that they played 10 players to 9- there are so many red and yellow cards
I don't think anywhere in england has lay away, which is total pants
Especially the ref in the Netherlands v Portugal match, I mean 16 bookings and 4 sendings-off......
i wonder if white canes and guide dogs are going to be standard at the final, oh and with aus v ittalia it more than likely would have been stupid penalty shotout
we have layaway--must be a regional thing
well, come to the USA with me.
i heard there are record numbers of yellow and red cards for the tournament
morning, annie!
we call it lay-by
they are on a power trip- they did warn the players not to mouth off this year and that they weren't going to take any crap- but this is just silly power hunger
exactly jakesmum what i say " total pants" i use it in the text of 'pantsd dance'
thats funny, I would have never thought to call it lay by.
teeveezed u an aussie, cause i call it layby
yep, we put stuff on lay-by...
At least both the dutch and the portugese players were as bad as the other... the ref was nuts, but so were they.
yep, aussie thru and thru...
shadow, you must have been angry when that italian player took a dive the other day with 5 seconds to go
Hello again - now actually starting the grid...
Um is it me or does lay-by seem kinda naughty, where u at teev
For some stupid reason I want 'eccentric' to be here.
shadow...i'm at perth...
i desperately want the word "criteria." that's my phantom today.
teevee, its great that they got that murderer in perth and released his name. i call for a public stoning
I wish that M was an E.
i want liquor to be there
But then again, you probably always want liquor to be there, right Shadow? :)
shadow...yes, he must be mad! Poor little girl
i thought that one of the words today was another name for a fanny fart
how many total words today?
woo hoo i just found a word that discribes me
262
no alchol very bad for me
ah - i have a long way to go then - i have 164 and am really struggling now. May be time to take a break
i am crazy hyper
i'm off to work- have a good day all- you especially abe
i have 233 left to find! lol
Teevee i used to work in the legal system as a security guard and i can tell you the some perps needed a public stoning
i like the florida system where all names and crimes are listed on the web
bye bluephlox!
bye blue
I DON"T like our system in Tennessee--we executed a man this morning
I have 198 left to find!

i just read the story, if he was 200% guilty then sorry good ridence if he wasn't gross misjustice and if you are going to do that it should happen immedietly once its 2005 certain
hey annie
opps 200%
hi shadow
ok, back with breakfeast.
thats how i used to feel when the baseball season was over, atatlante
*atalante* i keep misspelling your name, darn keyboard! lol
sorry if i have offended anyone with my view point
not offended, Shadow, just don't agree with capital punishment
Annie, you are getting close to atlatl... a word that MUST appear in a grid someday.
i agree with you, shadow. unfortunately, there are very evil people in this world
atlatl is just the best word. even better than ywis, just
I
Absolutely, Ata :)
I could rename you... Atlatlante :)
i have worked in the courts and i have seen rough justice and crap sentances
yes, sprite. it should be very interesting. a grid with our names. i promise to type your name 100 times, atalante. they used to do that when i went to school when you misspelled a very important word. atalante, atalante, 98 to go!!!1
lol :):)
one day I really want pahoehoe to be in the grid
Is that a real word too? Then it would be fabulous, LOL.
is it just me, or is this a tough grid?
ata, is that your beautiful kitty??
real word :) its a type of lava
I am at 2/3, shutterbug, and slowing down. Not really much harder than usual, I think.
ermmm ... if you're seeing a brown thing, its mine, if you're seeing a siamese thing, its my friend's ;)
Ata, that is such a fun word! *orders a grid with lava too*
atalante, you beautiful cat looks like "our" Sandy. It was our cat when my children were tots. long time ago
your
well, then it's yours, ata :D
Hmm.... I only have 69 woerds and am slowing down.
kitties
my little cat is disturbingly pretty. I should make her do kitty commercials and earn vast quantities of money from her! ;)
lenient's my phantom word today
go for it, Ata! :-)
cute over load
I stick by tequila being my phantom word today
she is a beauty
yes, tequila. on the rocks with salt!!! a bit early here though
At least we have a couple of feline words today :)
indeed!
one of them is staring me in the face constantly because I have to go out and buy some ...
sprite, are there more than two feline words?
I mean, 3?
At least 3.
my phantom word: minorities
ok ill be back in the morning, my boy is back
shadow, it is morning here.
its 11pm here
shutter, where are you?
shutter, where are you?
my phantom word: acetone
9:08 am here
9:08 am here

phantom word - literacy
lol same ere
niquil is my other word for the day, thank you denis leary
sprite, were you able to complete sudoku yesterday? neither my mom nor I could finish it.
shutterbug: yes, I did. Had to start over once, though.
My mom and I both got stuck and couldnt go any further. I think it is because we dont know ALL of the strategies.
i have trees in my head to
now I'm wokring on todays.
oh dear, call a tree surgeon, shadow!
no i meant i have the word tree in my head, that and NIQUL
LOL annie.
I'm off. Duty calls.
Shutterbug: I am not very much into the techniques either. Most techniques are just extensions of logical reasoning, and that's what I like best. So I am never very fast with sudoku :)
We dont try to be fast, we take all day. My mom usually does them though, not me. she prints them, does them on paper and gives thyem to me to put in the computer.
i usually mark all the greenies, then i go row-by-row, column-by-column, and box-by-box looking for any numbers that are alone... if theres only one green "2" in a row, thats where the 2 is, no matter what other greenies are in that little square...
I just like the solving. No matter how slow I am, if I can get it solved, it gives me a kick.
woo hoo i just hit my highest amount of words
Good Evening All what is the icon theme for today
Gratz, Shadow.
Shirley Bassey and Caitlin's bday

This is his old home, and he hasn't been here in over a year, but is acting like he never left-it's all stored away in memory. Boy don't you wonr what their little pea brains make of being stuffed in a carrier and suddenly being someplace else?
my duaghter once told a sitter that!!
Though Re8 sounds more like seeing if your clothes are the right size backwards.
*daughter

amanda: rhymes with the sound of what we do in the log :)
what a strange word!
our monkeys do have special skills, don't they!
they're very special monkeys
the se8 is still driving me bonkers-it doesn't seem to be any normal spelling of the neurotransmitter-or am I just bind as usual?
Babble monkeys, a whole new breed. Shadow: there are 4 feline words.
Got all the 8's, but as far as the biggies go, I'm missing a 9......I have the qu9, what's the other plz?

Grace: Ye5 like the movie about a Jewish girl that wants to study, with Barbra Streisand. Change last letter into vowel.
Movieman i tried to get one from google images but could not download from there is there a special way to do it
good morning, everyone =)
aha!
Tiny: rightclick with your mouse, choose "save image as". Then download from your harddrive.
Hi Specficity
Ok will try that

Thanks, Unea - how do you ALWAYS have the answer?!?! =8-)
se8/40 is a brown bat but looks like what's in zoloft and other such medication

good day! I was looking at your se8 clues ,but doesnt that brain chemical have two o's in it?
not here, shirin
The proper brain chemical, the one we are familiar with, is seratonin, I believe
shirin, leave out the on
got it, thanks
Just looked it up, can you believe, the real meaning for the se8 is a widely distrubuted genus of usually small brown bats!!
Might be serotonin...
FM , i could do with that se8!
oh, dear, i meant WITHOUT
Wonderful...now I know the name of a genus of brown bats that live in my brain....
I think it's seratonin - I had a fit a couple of weeks ago because I thought it was in the grid, but I had misspelled it, as is apparently common, since I had quite a few google-hits with my spelling

re5/10 think era gone by or a re*** fashion look plus 3 letter word for healthy. Lian - you are so on the right track just change the last letter to another vowel
lianakate -- you need a plural for it. Italian plural.
Liana - change the final vowel of that italian restaurant.

MVA, is that your flag?
Yes it's the Cornish flag
Neat...I didn't know that....why black and white?
That's a very good question, and I wish I knew the answer!!!
thanx so much jaianniah!
Everyone in Cornwall likes to play chess?
Could well be!!!!
yw, Penguin
Oh I so wish I could understand the codes you all use......lolo
What "codes"?
for the clues that are being passed to and fro'!
at* is a lawyer....
The Cornish flag was adopted from the Saint of the tin miners, St. Piran. The black is said to represent the ashes of the smelting fires and the white the colour of the metal - good old google
flask, it's easy...the first number is the amount of letters and the one after the / is the number of points for that letter and the letters are the begionning of the words
Learn something new every day...TY, FMitch!
can u show me an example please?
ra5/10 means a 5 letter word starting with ra worth 10 points.
Okay....ce4/4 means that it is a four letter word made up of letters that are all one point each...
qu 4/7 = the words starts with qu it has 4 letters and counts 7 points
well, I was going to make a joke about black & white and something to do with tin mines, but couldn't think of anything...
I didn't know that either jai. ro4/4 1st 2 letters of the word ro , 4 letters in tital and tile score = 4 for an extra clue is is a garden flower
Thanks FMitch, I'll remember that I hope

To me, it's like a state flag....and ours is an embarassment!
you from Mississippi too, jaianniah?
You guessed! LOL! You think so, too?
I meant I was embarrassed that I could't remember!
I am actually from Illinois..am a transplant....
of course! embarrassing is the nice word for it
wait a minute....are you me? I'm an Illinois native as well, landed in Miss as a teenager and got out again as an adult
Embarassing..it is a travesty, and should be gotten rid of...pardon my grammer....
Check out all the British flags here http://www.theflagshop.co.uk/index.htm l?lmd=38873.941863

cubs have a tremendous losing streak going. 2nd worst record so far this year
Oh, dear....typical Cubs.....my parents must be going crazy...They watch every game....
it's even worse now that the sox are doing really well - polar opposites!
Well, that's just dandy...
does anyone have a tr 9/54 and tr 8/45 clue
tr8 = when you're slipping on the ice, you need some tr****** to get a grip with your feet.
tr8 - when you break your leg you might have to put it up (tr******)
tr9 is t+ big mouse+ who the Americans fought in the revolution+ second vowel; tr 8 is what they put you in when you break your back....ow....

It sure does feel good when you are able to complete a grid this size.
Hi again!
did you see the lipstick penis?
Ok, I'll try this one then I promise I'm done. I saw some things I never wanted to see while looking for this!
Hi Matty :)
hi Matt
Hey Mattie!
hi matty!!
Umm...your icon...interesting! LOL
How's that connected to Shirley Bassey LOL
That was one of the more wholesome ones I found, lets' just say. Gold Member?
Hi, All. What's the theme today? The icons sure are interesting...
Matty, we have a new icon theme: secondary sex characteristics, in honor of the three breast words....
HAHAHA! Shirley Bassey is the icon
Krista I'm gonna pee my pants that is just toooo frickin funny
Hi Esquian :)
I am in the same boat ROFL
hello
Candace - welcome probably best if you read the hep sectiion and also go to Angelsongs page in friends of babble as the log is moving fast tonight. code is ra5/14 means ra are the 1st 2 letters of the word 5 means it is 5 letters long and the 15 nmeans the tile count.
Schwing! Kegel yourself, quick! No peeing!
Krista, I just clicked on your icon and laughed out loud. I needed that. Thanks
Hi Candace :)
ROFL X 10
*doing the gotta peepee dance now*
Ok - thank you!! :)
It' s faerie's fault - she did it first. :) I was just making it fair for the guys.
LOL that's ok you can blame me it was all the DD talk that got me started !!!!
I think I'll just hide behind my daisy and quietly die laughing...
That's me done. Thanks for all the laughs today! Hoping for just as much fun tomorrow. happy babbling.
Who started tha tBTW?
Well...I won't be here long - I'm market researching tonight - but hubby and daughter may have a go.
Sorry, Candace. We're usually not this bad. (I knew I had to play today)
CONTRATULATIONS CHARM!!!!!!!!
Can anyone clue the other nine - I have the qu nine
Matty - what are you market researching? We just got back this week.
yayayay charm
tr9 - italian restaurant with a alt. final vowel.
I'm in a focus group for research into charity giving. They're paying me £40!
What charm said...beat me to it....
Not sure what the spelling is of the Italian restaraunt...
Interesting, matty! How much time do you have to give them?
Two hours
Thanks, Charm, for the 9 clue. I got it!
Time for me to be off, hope tomorrow's is a bit smaller the grid I mean!!!!
mattygroves, how much is that in American money?
Bye FMitch I'll tell TSM and Capone you ask about them
Am I just being stupid - Can I have another clue? It's around $55 ish...
Thanks faeire
Bye Fmitch - 125 left to find.....
Maybe more
peri, I have done some focus groups in Atlanta. Best one paid $175 for about 2 hours.
I was recently in a mock jury that took more than 8 hours but we were paid $300. Munner how did your chemo go yesterday?
Can someone be a wee bit more specific on the Italian restaurant - I keep tryhing what I think it is, and it doesn't work.
Good day yesterday, but all treatment days have always gone well.
My brain has died....so am off for a while......g'nite to you all....xx
I have to go to the grocery store but I'll be back for my last 131 wrds here shortly.....*better change first*
Night Flask :)
I think it's more than 55...not sure of exchange rate now, but I think it's more. (refresh for a S. Bassey icon). We used to tease my dad for playing her records all the time. Do I sound old saying "records?"
bbl
My 30 something daughter gets called regularly for focus groups. She's even had some where her 6 and 9 year old sons got to participate. They'
They've done toy studies and snack food studies for kids.
Bye, fearie!
Munner - now that is smart! I have 3 kids and would be willing to do that!
brb
Matty - does what you keep trying end with an A? if so, change that vowel
esquian, What a beautiful baby!
does anyone have the ye 5 please? thanks!
Not a bad gig, it sounds. Look into it, esquian. I think my friend does it. I'll have to ask her how she got into it.
Thank you!
I can send you some signup sites if you're interested. I'm sure the DC area has some good opportunities.
that would be great! it would be something for us to do, especially in these long summer months when there's no school....
my e-mail address is auntto20@yahoo.com
Munner, would you please send me some sign up sites too, I live in Phila. Pa. I will put my e-mail address in my profile.
Am I being really, really stupid? tr9 - Italian restaurant - are the forth and fifth leters the same as the first?
Ill get the list from my daughter and send it out to you. I'll put Babble from Munner in the subject line.
yes, matty
esquian, do you really have 20 nieces and nephews?
here goes my attempt for ye 5: word for noble man, change g to y and drop last 5 letters add e
matty, the tr9 ends with the second vowel
yes, I do. I am the youngest of 8 children and my husband is the middle of 7, so between the two of us, we have 20. It's great!
yes Matty
OK, got it now. In fact, it seems I got it a few goes ago...and didn't notice. Sigh.
Lucky you. What wonderful family reunions!
Munner did you see my request?
The one downside is that the ones on my side are no where near my childrens' ages, but the ones on my husband's side are close in age and in the area.
Yes, reunions are fun. My son (3 year old) was the ring bearer in my oldest nephew's wedding. It was really neat.
it worked for me, inge..ty
Yes, peri. But if you don't hear from me in a couple days, ask me again. I blame all forgetfulness on "chemo brain"!
okay, Munner, thanks
thanks inge, i'm going to work on it :)
sorry to hear of chemo, Munner. Sounds like you caught the reoccurance of your cancer quickly. That's key, I'm sure.
Are you in DC proper, Esquian? Rachael Ray was there last night for her 40.00 a Day program. I get into the city a few times a year.
No, I'm out in the burbs in VA, but would be willing to go in if I could bring my kids with me.
It's only about 20 minutes away
Rachel Ray - she's the cook right?
My husband used to commute to Tyson's Corner from here (Hagerstown). It was brutal. I was wondering what it would be like to like right in the city with kids. Would be difficult, I think. Yes, that's her.
Gawd, that would be some commute, Krista!
live right in the city, I meant
That is a hellish commute. That's one reason we still live in our townhouse. My husband's commute is 20 minutes door to door.
Well, it SHOULD have taken a little over an hour, but the traffic is so bad there now (Rt. 7?).
@0 min. is great. Mine works from home now, and he does not take it for granted. He is grateful every day!
how did you find focus groups around you, matty?
Yes, I would think the city would be difficult with young children. With the lack of parking you'd have to ride the subway or walk everywhere... that's hard with strollers. :)
That's GREAT, Krista. My husband is trying to get a telecommuting program going at his work, but they are just resisten.
* resistent
Nice chatting with you, Krista. Gotta run. My 5yo wants to play checkers...... I should get her onto Babble!
I hope he can convince them. It's good for everyone involved.
Have a great afternoon!
you too!
bye, esquian/ enjoy your little ones!
Hi everyone! bit of a doozie, today!
HI Deutsch!
Hi Peri!
Thanks, Munner! It was nice talking to you, too, and thanks for the focus group info. I'll let you know how it goes... I hope you're feeling OK.
at 110 words and stuck. taking a break. bbl and will proably go to one of the lists
Later peri!
I'm off...my daughter just asked me to play a game, too!
Have fun, Krista
Thanks! Bye everyone.
bye. Krist

Hi boreetos!

excellent, boreetos! Maybe I can see it this weekend.
se8/40?
yeah its fun. Kevin Spacey as LL is inspired. great casting choice.
Good deal, boreetos. sorry, stephie, no se 8 for me

I'm looking for that very ac, ch1212. And the te eludes me, too
ac7/32 = high card + anagram of pedal digits
wish i could stay to play gotta run , looks like a good puzzle
oops not high card what people in play do
arrrggghh! Thanks, mymuseisme -- swear I tried that!
bye, onyx
yes high card, forgive me I know not what I'm looking at lol
yw ch
I found it though, thanks to your clue :)

thanks, mymuse!
yw!
oooh yes - thanks mymuse!
mymuse, i need a kick in the butt for the ac 7 please :)
:)
how about my missing ra 6/18, from the 4 in a row? I have the portion, the plural math word, and the verb of the rodent. what am I missing please?
The third in the series ends in an anagram of men's neckwear
haz, I can't anagram men's neckwear from the postion of the 'ra' start -- it's all in a tidy little row. ?
I cannot for the life of me find the en 6/27. Any help please?
how many anagrams could there be? I swear I tried every last one! LOL thanks, Haz!
LOL thanks deutsch!
en + dust creature, change last letter to sometimes vowel
inge, the en 6/27 means "deep seated, often mutual hatred"
The word I'm talking about has the rodent, then the anagram.
Inge, do you remember the opera singing mouse who saved the day? M***** Mouse? remove the second vowel
for the en6 , that is
thanks Haz
You're welcome!
Inge, is your icon a pic from around your home?
AHHHH -- (slaps self with fish) I was going the wrong way! Thanks, Haz -- as always!
it's the doe that comes around to eat the tops of our plants
Glad you got there ch1212!
debb!
It's a beautiful photo.

Well, I'm off for a while. (but we already knew that)

still searching for that te 7/32 if anyone wants to clue it please
whoa thees are hard
te7/32 - shortened term for a private investigator (three letters) then the beverage sounding letter and the infamous men's neckwear anagram. It all sounds like a something technical!
i can give more - i still need some 4's
i can give more - i still need some 4's
ch1212 do you have te 5/10? first four letters plus crosse letter third vowel crossed letter second vowel
thanks, inge -- that one I have :)
ok but i just got one
haz, i don't get your clue for te7
I am delighted to assist with clues now if anyone needs ...
can't believe I have 49 still left ..........
Congratulations ch1212 - Stephie C needs your help!
Stephie, if you have the te 5/12 above it, then use the first 3 letters, then the beverage letter, then 3rd vowel, beverage letter again and 2nd vowel... does that spell it out? :)
I don't have the te5 above it!
hi all
and if you don't have the te 5/12 above it, use the first 3 letters of the word describing the people you call for te** support with computer problems
Hi!
ok, the 4's i have left - (don't need hints on these) ca 4/5, in 4/4 , 2 ir 4/4's and an ir5,10, li 4/6
thanks ch1212!
... and stephieC, if you take the first 4 letters of the word you just found, then add the first vowel, you'll have that te 5/12
i almost have fi debb!!
mite
sorry was still clicked on this
Fireworks for Inge. My lesson for today was, dont forget to enter the singulars first, then the plural.!!! :)

Yeah Inge!!
Well done inge!

When one person has six posts in a row, I start wondering...

kinda sleepy here T_T
Hi I'm back
Esquian, I'm here...
Hey! Looks like we're on for the big trip
yaaahhh!
Dan is going to fly down after work on the 12th
Is it still raining there?
nope...today is our reprieve day
no rain is good...we could use a little though...has Dan been off work?
kids in pool. Youngest is asleep. there's something called a "tropical event" they're tracking for us, though.
no, no work missed. the fed gov was on liberal leave on Monday
So he flies on Wed eve and do you leave then or thurs am?
no, we'll probably leave on Saturday. We've decided to miss his cousin's wedding. He was just exhausted by the thought of flying down and turning right back around.
sounds like a GREAT plan! are you planning on chatta during the visit?
I was thinking about that, since Mom's surgery will be done after we get there. Therese mentioned something about Lake Winnie sometime, although it might be hot for that....
Do you think Mom would be too overwhelmed by all that company right after?
btw, tmsm doesn't know we're coming
that was part of our conversation when she asked if we were coming over the summer
however, we will see Nana for much of August, so I don't know if we should go? Short answer: I don't know yet. What do you think?
I probably won't be talking to her to tell her :} I don't know about mom...her plan is surgery on the 5th, 4 or 5 days at P &K's for recovery and then I told her I would come after my bday
we could play it by ear
ahhhh....so she'll be staying at P&K's anyway. We could take over her house then and not overwhelm her
I can go after you guys head home...
do you think she'd be mad if we were there and she wasn't or be really happy that we were using her place and getting to visit with her?
is she expecting you right after P&K's though?
en7/28 please??
sorry dodge, I have no e's yet. esquian we still had not pinned down a date, she didn't seem to really want me there right away, so I don't know...
hi dodge.... to go in more than once
en - what you put in your diary ....
cheers!!
ok....we can play by ear. no big one if we don't make it.
ok, well, it's like this; ya all gott understand...I just found my 100th word. That is a big deal for me. I gotta go now and help my husband. But I HIT 100!!!
way to go 1j2u3d4y!
yeah 1j2u3d4y!
congrats!
Goob, I like your name
thank you thank you thank you...judy takes a bow...
thanks... it is because i am one, unfortunately!
my sister calls my son a gooby...what exactly does that mean? I'm assuming a silly person??
exactly... but with affection, not with derision in any way
a gooby...the definition of esquian's extremely cute little fellow...EXACTLY goob!
finally, my first seven of the day...this could be a forewarning to go start dinner!
debb, my mom just got off email-sorry, i have to go bye
bye mike - love you
norad - found out today that kiddo #3 might have eczema
eczema? I can hardly spell it, what are her symptoms?
she's got red, bumpy patches at the creases of her elbows and back of knees and some red spots that won't go away on back of her thighs
we can lessen it, but it never goes away completly
* completely
elbows and knees is very symptomatic of ezcema
did the dr. tell you?
yeah...that's what the pediatrition said
doesn't nora anne have that?
maybe....she had a pretty severe case right?
yeah, but didn't really diagnose until later in life...
it is something that she'll have forever, but it's a "flare up" thing from what I understand
that # 3, good thing she's such a cutie girl! how is it controlled?
doesn't seem to bother her much. I see her itching it sometimes but not often.
I know....seems she's just getting so many things the others don't/didn't have
my experiences with eczema if you're interested - try cutting out milk / dairy products. often helps a *lot*. whatever she does, don't scratch the stuff lol and moisturise moisturise moisturise!
controlled by creams/lotions for moisture. if it gets really bad they can prescribe something like Elidel
but I don't think they'll do that 'til she's over two
Thanks, Atalante. I'll give that a try. She has backed off the milk lately. i wonder if it "flares" right after she drinks it. hmmm....
Atalante, all dairy? can she live without ice cream? yikes!
it might well do - its a really common eczema thing. I always feel so much better when I discipline myself and have soy milk and soy icecream!
doesn't always work though :P
any clues for the ac 6 (first one) please
sorry, can't help aknitter, only have a 4 and 2 5's
ac 6 = WWI flier + type of foil to cover food
great clue dawn gray ty
thx DawnGray!
yw
txs, atalante for the dairy stuff. she's not eating ice cream yet, so maybe she won't know what she's missing! ;)
wtg DawnGray, that gave me both ac 6's and the tr 8. You never know what one word can open up!
its definitely worth a go. doesn't work for everyone, but it works for a lot of people with eczema (and asthma)!
Please excuse my ignorance with this great game - I'm a newbie. Question: Can you tie this page in with the Lickety's Babble Clues Page so if you type a word in on the Lickety page it comes up on this page too? Thanks, Barb
sorry, babbz, that's about the only thing lickety';s page doesn't do
wowzer...I have 10 te's left
Wow! I haven't got the other ac6 or tr8 yet.
btw, I was reading comments about someone's child having eczema and wanted to share my theory on this...i have it too and i think there's a connection between perspiration and eczema. I started putting antiperspirant behind my knees, in my elbow folds, neck, etc. and guess what - I don't get any flare ups there. I figured if it's okay for underarms, it's probably okay everywhere else too so I use ban roll on and i'll be dipped, it works like a charm! i can't imagine it can hurt a child any more than the eczema but you should probably check with your doc first.
phantom word - metric
the t words seem endless today...
I would say that that depends on whether someone's skin reacts badly to antiperspirants or not ...
evening all
ac 6/21: something done or accomplished and tr8 builds off the front of that...hope this helps
hello oggy...
thanks, babbz. might be worth a try. I will ask the doc. We're going in for an appointment tomorrow to confirm, so I'll ask.
very true- gotta be a ymmv thing, but i do think that some folks are allergic to their own perspiration - it's just too strong .
Now I got 'em. Thanks, Norad
actor
Hi, everyone--I'm following the exzema conversation. Could it be hives, by any chance? I'm not an MD BY THE WAY, BUT i'M PLAGUED W/HIVES, AND WE CAN'T FIGURE IT OUT. (sorry about caps lock). I take antihistamines
good afternoon everyone
glad to help DawnGray!
hiya ardilla
hello ardilla...
I'm not sure which ends up being worse - perspiration or anti-perspirant!!
funny you should ask about the hives thing. We were at another appointment today, and someone mentioned they have had eczema since they were a kid. she was given steroids for it back then. wouldn't that be something given for hives?
i have taken steroids for hives
you do get steroids for bad eczema ...
Keep in mind that some soaps and detergents cause different reactions.
Hello peopleseses. I'm here for a quick hello
I don't think my daughter's is hives, though. It's not raised enough, I don't think. It's more scabby (sorry for that visual).
I'm just on zyrtec prescription--but the mystery is what in the world causes it
scabby and yellow-y clear scabby stuff ... (even nicer visuals)!
when my eczema gets bad, I end up on oral and topical steroids. Joy.
I have eczema as well. Mine is controlled with steroid creams, one for the face and one for the body following with a thick moisturizer like Eucerin. I haven't had a breakout in about 18 months but I keep the steroids handy just in case.
hi leigh
mirandapan - the nurse at the doctor's office said that no one really knows the cause of eczema. It's just really over sensative skin. She said her whole family has it, adn it can flare just by laying down on a carpet or laying next to a chemical that is of no harm to others.
she recommended Eucerin and Aquafor
I feel your pain, Atalante. It's quite gross especially when it's on your upper lip!
Right, esq--mysteries of the medical world. The smaller things that we can't seem to figure out.
what is Aquafor? a moisturizer?
its a bloody stupid condition! its so individual ... you'll just have to find through trial and error what irritates them ...
norad - yes, it's like intense vasaline
we've been putting a heavy coat of A&D on at nights before bed and it definitely fades it but it never goes completely away
I need help with ti6/21
much like stupid allergies...the triggers vary from person to person even in the same family.
got all the Ls! lalalalala!
you said she is scratching, just time to time or often? is it worse when she plays in the pool (or sun)
it probably will go away eventually. it seems to come and go over months. I used to have it all over my body as a baby - literally all over - and then suddenly it vanished until about 2 years ago. Who knows why!
ti6/21 rhymes with Mr Brosnan's first name
thx Haz, good clue...
oh thanx
I like anything that makes me think of Mr Brosnan....
my mom and brother can't stand being outside because of the pollen. I can't being indoors somedays because of the dust and mold.
Norad - she scratches very rarely. doesn't seem to bother her much. she doesn't go in the pool, although I'm going to put her in today for the first time. I guess we'll see
I'd just keep a really close eye on when she does scratch. you might be able to narrow down what's irritating her skin that way
omg, ardilla. that's just insane, isn't it? nature's little (or big!) annoyances
Good luck with it, Atalante!
ti 6/21 is a toughie - it's between the 1st two ti 4/4s - time to call in the monkeys
good to know it might go away eventually, Atalante!
and i just got it - after scanning bottom line of chat & seeing the name Brosnan{swoon}
Yeah, first swim in the pool day with the "big kids"...I'm excited for her...watch the slide though... :0
oh yes - more than likely it will, at least for a while! It seems to work at least vaguely on the same idea of 7 year cycles like asthma and bronchitis. so persevere!
thanks for the chat about the eczema. Good info and good hope! :) Now to the pool with the little one! :) I'm thinking I'm not going to get many words today, but this has been really helpful!
tr 8/45 anyone?
have fun with her!
tr8/45 - the act of drawing or pulling.
like if they ever got strep throat, I'm in trouble because I'm highly allergic to penicillin. Good luck with her, esquian!
debbinla... tr + ac 6/21
and of COURSE thats the only ac i don't have
ah - got it
typical ac**** hero....
itty should be a word
thanks
mi 7/36? have the words on either side of it
need help with tr 9/54 please
melon - just got it - it's mi + o 4/5
mi7 place in spain
any clues for the en6/27 plz
mi7/36 is most well known as a mediterranean island.
mi 7/36 - small + a U.S state abbreviation
tx, deb? what the heck is a mi7/36? Shamu the Tiny?
tr9/54ia an italian eatery
en6/27 - mutual hatred
hiHaz & tx!
lol melon !
Apparently mi7/36 is a breed of fowl.
You're welcome melonhead!
is it a fair fowl?
The dictionary says it can have white or black plumage. Nothing about how good looking it is.
one m to go mi 4/7 at the bottom
got it - that was mighty fun!
mi4/7 - an adjective for mi4/5 the bug. Add the sometimes vowel
Okay everyone, I'm heading out. Time for class! Perhaps I'll be back later. Happy babbling!
yup - we're [playin' chat-tag. i'm off to a class on my Huffy-Puffy bike.
Bye leighprefect - I'm going as well, though not to class. Atalante, how are you getting on. Did you find you had time to babble after all?
I'm just trying to search for my last 2 (after giving up and getting the list :P
So, you're almost there - I'll say congratulations in advance!
can I have a clue for the en7,44 before you go???
en7/44 - to put into operation, especially used with the law.
atlante - what police to for the law - they en***** it
oh! ty!!
ta haz1558 finaly got it
fireworks!
thanks libarebel. that helped! got it
That's gppd edmo.
does the qu 7/40 build off the qu5/16 before it?
the firt qu 7 i mean
Congratulations for real, Atalante! I'll see you tomorrow, electricity permitting.....
yipee for atlante!
yes. musical group.
it ends with a suffix that is more often a prefix. seems like a verb.
yw, night!
bye Haz! and thanks for the clueeeee :)
deb--yes--and a vowel + cons
You're welcome, Atalante! Bye all!
Deb, 1st qu7, it's like a barbershop qu***** with an extra member....
thanks all - i'm working on it
qu9 is a french fivesome
and bye from me too!
qu9/72 is diminutive of 5-piece group...
was looking the wrong way - thanks so much everyone
which is actually a re-spelling of the qu7 which is pronouced exactly the same....
or, feminine...
oddly, the feminine is not necessarily a girl group - or should i say "enesmble des jeunes filles"
lol, melon!
tx & bye - off to life drawing.
maybe just diminutive...
hello all, just got home with Matthew after the tooth adventure... he is really groggy but okay. It'll be a couple days before he is back on solid food, though!
Hey Gang any clues for the cr7???
I love life drawing-- just heard of a really affordable workshop!
hi faeriekae! the cr 7/32 I have is the animals we keep, no matter the type
acr7/32 is a beastie
qu9 requires 3 right turns to start - whereas qu7 does not - that's what made it so hard to find - "I shoulda turned right at Albuquerque?"
and REFRESH please
thanks Stid :)
much nicer, Faerie!
looks like a hamadryad/...
looks like a hamadryad/...
hey, gang! in my rush to get ready for my trip I forgot to tell you all I was going back East for almost 3 weeks -- here at the Jersey Shore in Cape May, getting tan (for me) with a ton of relatives!
oops, sorry about that double post. I am going to go silent now and grab the list. Got halfway last night and haven't touched it since...
LOL
you blink, faerie :)
i know im gonna kick myself for not seeing this one, but any hints for the N on the far left?
Mich have a safe trip
Lib yeah isn't that cool :)
oh -- is that where you've disappeared to mich! Hope it's not raining in Jersey!
yes, very cool :-)
only raining at night, thank goodness! Missing the heat wave in the PNW for overcast skies & partial sun in NJ -- ironic
Lib I'm using the emoticons from MSN instant messenger
evandine - i have the same problem.
And another irony -- on vacation I have *less* time to Babble than in "real life", LOL! I miss it & you guys.
ty, faerie, I'll check em out!
very strange, mich! but nice for you! And the heat is abating somewhat today (fortunately) so we are not so uncomfortable.
got it! not in? go back. (that was a cryptic clue)
good to hear, I'll let you (and me) get back to entering words, just wanted to say Hi All!
we miss you too mich -- when will you be home?
evandine, I had a hard time finding that one, too. sounds like lice (one lice) plus a preposition
thanks harp!
hi stid et al -- just sneaking a peek during a library lull
harp, got it from your clue... thanks. and thanks melonhead -- your clue got me "almost" there!
Hi Jill :)
thx, stid! I'll be back Jul. 10 late, but brought my laptop with me for the lulls between visiting
hi Jill! *dives back into entering words in the list*
okay, mich, hope to "see" you again soon -- and ENJOY! :-)
a clue please for the N on the left in the middle??
Hullo all--missed you yesterday, when I was doing stupid medical things in Victoria. Now I'm back fromn a restorative spell with my daughter, and I've plunged in --tho I doubt I'll be able to finish it's fun trying to keep up with you all
hello dear hetty, wondered where you were. Hope all is well with you, and glad you had time to visit with your daughter.
I can't believe nobody knows it!!!
Hi Hetty
hi everyone!
hi hetty, stim, mich, jil and all other people that came in when i was at lunch
hi debb!
flask - is it what bees look for?
Which N are you looking for is the one that hummingbirds eat
ty, esquian!
hi Annie, Hetty, Faerie, etc. & I don't have that "n" Flask :)
I already have that in
and Jill!
I'm just fine, thanks Stid, tho I'm facing (minor) surgery in Vancouver July 11.
greek gods & goddesses consumed n**** & ambrosia...
no prob, libarebel!
oh hetty, you are not officially on my "list"!
hetty, i wish you well july 11th
Hetty, we will send you good thoughts for a speedy recovery, dear lady
I meant "NOW" officially on my list.....
hetty -- will that interfere with your trip to Ashland?
flask - did you find it?
Thaks all. I was worried about NOT being on your list, Stid--feel much better that it's a NOW! I shall go to Ashland-look it's no life-threatening matter, really--and nothing will keep me from the fourth of july and King John in Ashland anyway!
:-) then I feel better about all of it, and you are STILL on my list. {{{hetty}}}
hi everybody! just finished, anyone need clues?
hi fran, congats
YAY Fran!
Flask did you get it? there is also a fruit like a peach called a ne****ine
hi Fran! I have 117 to go and not ready to ask for clues just yet... YAY FRAN!!!!!!
hi annie!
Congrats Fran
thanks all! what a great icon faerie!
actually, I just hit a brick wall in the last three AT words...
Thanks Fran :)
stid, the second to last is a lawyer, i think you can get the others with that in there
thanks Fran!
yw stid!
evening!
hey feather!
hi feather! how has your day been?
Hi Feather :)
i took a break from painting today. cleaned up the dining room, and napped while daniel did, almost 2 hours
congrats fran !!
hetty, just read the discussion about your (minor) surgery. since you said it's not a big deal i'll just send you wishes for a speedy recovery.
thanks debb!
stid - i'd ask if you want to race - cause i have 17 left -- but i STILL bet you'd beat me
as do i hetty - will think nothign but good thoughts
good for you feather -- naps are important!
LOL debb, only if the heat is REALLY bad down there...
i needed it, been going nonstop since saturday
good for you feather! enjoy while you just have one, when there are two it's harder to nap.
it's insane here ! and its muggy - which southern californias do not know how to handle
I am, however, down to 109. Will stop at 100 and go play outside just a little, watering the veggies today.
Stid the last at add double consant then add the first ri4/4
you'll still beat me - hehe
hola amigos y amigas
hi bbnaz!
OK, I'm a total newbie... the "tile stats" refers to words that begin with that letter?
stid, what kind of veggies
Hi Bbnaz
Candace you are correct
hola, bbnaz
candace, they refer to the number of words that start with a particular tile
we have tomatoes, garlic, squash and pumpkins, and a few lettuces that haven't bolted yet. I want to plant some flower seeds tomorrow.
{{{{{{BBNAZ}}}}} *Mrs. Weasley's voice* Where HAVE you been?
fabulous -- that's super helpful
hank you
Candace did you go to the bottom of the page and click on Angelsongs Resource page? If not it will be a big help to you. Everything you ever wanted to know about babble is in there
it is so bloody hot here that by the time i get done riding my horses it is time to sleep and rejuvenate for the morning.........
must be fun to cook with things from your own garden, i still need to get some herbs growing, we keep saying we're going to.
i am slowly killing a fuschia plant that was never intended to live in the desert
well, okay... but know you were missed terribly... how is the mama and baby -- I forgot their names it's been so long...
Iris and Luna. They are getting ready to go to summer camp where it is much COOLER
Strangely, herbs are a plant I have extreme difficulty keeping alive... we have a few chives and a bay plant that finally decided to live...
{{{{Stid}}}
Luna is going to be gray just like her mum
Good. So Iris is healing well and Luna is (I hope) settling down a bit?
hi Daisy, I IM'd you a bit ago... I see you replied and I hadn't seen it blinking at me.
that's funny stid because most herbs grow like weeds!
Hi Daisy
Iris has finally been given the green light to go out to pasture so all is well there. Luna is growing like a weed and needs to be out where she can run and play. Enuf of this stall rest she says!
hi faeri:)
hi daisy!
I am the only person in the world, I suspect, for whom the easy plants go quickly and the difficult ones thrive...
Fran! hey:)
well, good for all of you! Will you be going to summer camp too?
poor stid, trying to carry on three conversations!! :-)
Thanks, Fran--thanks, debb--for your good thoughts.
three weeks at my big sis' house in San Francisco...yeehaw, bring on the fog!
My garden of friendship is just full of the sweetest flowers
YEE HAW indeed! and a little bit of "culcha" I hope! no mucking out stalls for a few hours?
you have a lovely way with words hetty!
aw- that's sweet hetty!
hetty -- that gives a wonderful idea for my yard! *scurries off to put idea on paper before it escapes*
will be working on "re-hydrating" the facial area....and enjoying a bit of a lie in in the morning. Do not forsee 114 degrees up there!
we're actually having a "cold spell" today...only 91!
okay, everyone who wants to be part of *my* garden of friendship, please email me with your favorite flower (or if you don't have one, favorite color or sound) and I will put one together! I am thinking of calling it the "Garden of Babble" -- and hope it doesn't mangle communication... ;-)
faeie-- there's an ri 4/4 before the one that works w/ at7/28...
I think the first ri4/4 ia an uprising...
pansies and fuschias for me stid!
stid, anything purple works for me!! will you take pictures to show us?

{{{Jacs}}} Hi!!!!
hi Jacula! so how many shoes are you actually taking?
Hi Annie. I was but my case is 5kg over the allowance so I've got to have a bit of a shuffle and sort out tomorrow.
thanx fran, you would think I would see those easier ones.
lib, fran was not found in the dictionary? or another word i gave you?
i always overpack and then I wear half the things i packed.
i am leaving this stupid thingy majiggy i prefer good ole reliable MSN good night, Day watever time it is over ther wherever u are bye

later faerie!
bye, faeriekae!
oh, i get it!! i find myself doing that too! lol
Stid - I think it's our toiletries that are most of the weight. I'll see if I can transfer then non-aerosols to hand luggage. Haven't packed that yet.
bye, faerie
I am the same way, Annie -- and Jacula! but my problem is always the books I "must" have...
oh, the books, they are essential.
yes, soaps and things do take up a lot of weight, just so much water in them.
de 8/40
jacula, if you're not moving from place to place it's totally fine to overpack. i understand your need to be prepared. i'm the same way.
I have packed 4 books, plus a puzzle book, plus a notebook to do my travelogue in.
sorry meant se 8/40
EVERY THIME i TRY TO SAY HI
hi jilli!!!
got your laptop, jac?
Hi Jilli.
hi, jillibus!!!
hello, jilli!
hi again Jill! still at the library?
katican, similar to a chemical released by the brain
Not taking the laptop, Libarebel.
where are you going Jac? and hello btw
se8/40, se + spoil (like fruit) + prong of a fork
Crete, bbnaz.
ooops, take one T out of what i clued
yes, stid, still at the library and having a hard time staying with you people! Would you believe patrons actually want me to stop playing this game? LOL
wowee. that sounds spectacular!
got it, fran :)
ty for those clues, got it
lol jill!
oh dear, the nerve of some! well, you just play to your heart's content.... LOL
yw lib and katican
pesky library patrons!
silly me, I know... en 6 please?
people just don't have their priorites in order
20kg isn't enough luggage allowance for a fortnight.:( Caan have 5kg hand luggage, too, plus my handbag.
Jac....why don't you just do like I told our daughter to do when she flies out here Friday? she's not bringing any soap or deo or toothbrush...I'll buy it all when she gets here, and she'll leave it when she goes! that way she can bring more stuff!
well have to take my daughter to crew so will be back later i hope!
stid, bad feelings toward another, let me know if you need more.
later bbnaz, so glad to see you!
got it Fran, :-)
only about 50 minutes to go now until lib closing but then I have to go to a meeting tonight so with 142 left it's a no-hoper.
later bbnaz!
re 8 -(i tried, i failed)
this is one of the harder grids, that would say more if I had done more than 4 of them....haha
well, I feel the same way -- but no meetings and only 98 to go Jill! It's not a good grid for me today.
debb, what you have to do to make older things work with newer technology.
let me know if you need more
Daisy - It might come to that. If we leave what we don't use in the apartment the maids can have it after, or the next people who stay.
this is a harder one
be back after dinner
later annie!
there ya go Jac!
later Annie!
oh btw...after Friday...for a month...I probably won't be seeing much of you lovely people...kid will have me running...
i got it - great clue franmag !! thanks so much !!
Franmag - Don't know how but I got the re8 straight off from your clue. Mind you, I did know what the 1st 5 letters were.
yw debb!
Hi! I'm back....are we still laughing?
hi jai! this is always a happy place! :-)
hi jai!!
we are always full of glee, jaianniah!
I need one more 8 letter word, I have 8/50, both 840's and an 8/45, anyone have a clue for the last?

brb- phone...
katican, clue at 6:11
okay -- ec 6 please?
also the EQ would be nice...
dont have the at 6/11 yet
yes the EQ would be lovely
eq is what you build in your home to make a loan on
You build eq6/33 in your home by paying your mortgage
stid....eq, what you have in your house
private eq**** funds
hello ladies!
ec6 is e+wheeled thing you push+a vowel

have a great trip Jac
lol stid!!
Thanks Bambam. I will, once I work out how to wear all my clothes to travel in.;)
Im sorry to ask Fran but I cannot see the re 8/55 clue anymore, could you give it again?
great company!!
katican, re8/55 is what you have to do to older things to make them work with new technology.
katican - you can view the whole chatlog by clicking the icon above (far right) of this box.
katican, a 70's bout of epilepsy?
oh, didnt know that, thanks Jac :)
It opens in a new window and so doesn't affect your game.
clever bambam!
kat, the re8 is the same as the re6/18 but not plural + if your clothes are too tight they dont ***
lol bam
i am missing a ca6,21.... not the feline + particle one... the other one
bambam, add a 'cute' ending to the feline
god i must have tried that 17 times.... or not... i guess! hahaha thanks
or alt spelling of the ca5/16 that women can be sometimes.
I thought of that Fran...but it just seemd too ridiculous...
I was amazed when that one worked earlier. Wouldn't let me have the rodents though.
yw bambam.
i know daisy! i guess we shouldn't be too surprised.
jac, you'd think we could have the rodents since more of the rodents works!
Finally.....Sheesh :)
speaking of the rodents...I just tried what I thought was a silly word...and it worked...*scratches head in amazement at Enable*
i've discovered the key to the game is just to try every ridiculous word.
hi everyone !
hi helen!!!
GIVE ME CLUES !!!!!

Wow, now that's a new word to me!!!! Thank you so much FranMag
everyone is special... especially the first person to give me the en6!
hi helen! work keeps interupting my babble playing and mets watching grr
which one helen?
I'm back...again...Hello, Fran, Helen, and everyone...
the sooner you people help me, the fast i will be gone & can climb back into bed - i feel it's gonig to be a mightly long 87 words to go - HAHAHAHAHA
Hmm - Just found the mi7/36 ... not at all sure that should be allowable.
bambam, it's a bad feeling toward another, let me know if you need more
OK Helen, we will be GLD to help you!
ne 7/32 anyone?
fran - why are you bothering me with silly questions !!?!?!?!? it's the one the one i don't have !!!!
nice thanks Fran
it's supposed to be a kind of bird Jacula, strange word though
more fish-catching-er
no fran - just kidding there - it's the 2nd one i need (see, no worries, after the insane helen comes the really nice schizophrenic helen :))))
ne clue
Fran - it's a hen, but even so, I would think its capitalised.
i have that one jai - the one under what my house would be if i cleaned more?
okay, first ac6/21 is highest card + type of metal used for cans
Is that textspeak, Jai, or do you want an 'ne' clue? LOL
second ac6/21 is ac**** adventure movie
ne+ see+ a flower that means love
GREAT !!! now i need the fish !!!! grrrrr !!!
ty vm gran :)
sorry - that's *F*ran
thank you thank you thank you
Jac, if it's named after where it's from then it seems like it should be capitalized eh?
yw yw yw!
Fran - I would have thought so.

I talked to FOUR techs on the phone+ one came to the house, and they all could not fix it and had diff answers...it finally took this nice gent from SC to set it right...I am going to email Bell South and commend him...
yw abe!
Words I always miss are the sibling's daughter, rein/s, and etna.

YAY Jacula!
bambam, think of another word for your nose and take the S off
ni6/36 - sounds a bit smelly or like a sn dog used to find bodies or drugs.
had a short nap, now watching one of my favorite shows and eating some tortillas. and Babbling!
One whosniffs is a sniffer, one who ni** is a Ni 6
Fran, another scarily easy clue to get from you! nice thanks

sorry, but I couldn't think of any other way to clue that darn word... except for the Nifflers from Harry Potter, but not everyone knows about those....
i'm also missing the ni5,10 between the opposite of day, and the fertiliser
My phantom words of the day: forfeit, mi5/12+ity, ne6/21+ine, nicety, eccentricity & electricity.
it's okay jai, bambam and i have some kind of psychic link today, i hope it's not permanent, but i'm suddenly craving mangos with vegamite

Thanks, FranMag. It's very Shirley, I think.
te7/32 please, anyone?
i hope you find a new job soon debb! although your new job probably won't give you too much babble time.
jac, i've noticed that script blah blah blah thing on the bigger grids...takes about one or two times per 100 words or so ...least for me, cable connection
Then I realized what I was saying....Like, "I have to go real bad" go, and had a private giggle...Oh, never mind, I'm slap-happy after entering computer codes for two hours!
atropos - plural of the ce5 before it.
lol ty
I'll make time :-)
ne 7/28?

Jai - I read that as fish catheters. My mind boggled!
lol jac!
oh jac! *cracking up*
ni7/28 is more full of head lice debb
Ni7 is a chemical that they put on food that keeps it fresh- Ni the element + ending tr 5/10

alll right!!!!! we're on then! clue asking is permissible helen
not a combo stid, first one is a farm vehicle
Helen - Well, I generally get to the grid some 4 or 5 hours after it comes up, unless I've been doing an all-nighter or a very early start. It's 6am here in UK when the grid changes.
got that one... thanks Fran
ty fran :) got the en's
and I almost missed said vehicle! Megan would have beaten me.
tr9/54 is a casual italian restaurant, usually ends with A
yw helen!
That Italian restaurant made my monkeys type overtime.
working on it, I know how it is spelled around here, but...
especially since it's a slightly different spelling
tr8 is what your leg might get put into if you break it badly.
stid, spelling should be same except for last letter
Stid - the ending of the Italian eating place is 2 vowels often used as a 'for example'.
now to 76. thanks! also stumped (shameful, indeed) by the last TR 4.4 and the 7/28 which follows...
and FYI -- the TR 9 is the italian plural for the regular restaurant...
It's a gait of a horse, stid, and the noun which comes from it
stid, what a horse does and pig's feet
tr4/4 - a horse's gait.
tr7 - a pig's foot.
pass the seahorse, please!
Stid - Thanks, didn't know that.
pig's foot? *thinking*
Jac...I'd never heard of that...
sigh. spending 5 minutes trying 4 letter combos for a 5 letter word
Stid - you cannot eat a seahorse! They are too beautiful to eat.
hi, all-- back for a bit :-)
is there an mi5,12 between the coal-pit and the spanish isle? because i found someone underage mi5,18 which was not on lickety's list
go feather go! LOL
It's what they're called, stid, but it's related to the tr 4.
seahorses are superdads!
aisy - never heard of what?
hi all - just starting out, foolishly, foolishly...
that's what i have bambam
not coming up with a word for the pig foot... more help please?
Bambam - Yes the underage person is in the grid. No idea if it was on the list though.
that word after the "horse's gait" tr.... pigs feet word
Stid: For the third time, it's a noun that derives from the horse's gait
hiya ping!
stid, one who tr4/4s
stid could be a horse, or a pig's foot
Stid - Did you ever watch Only Fools & Horses? It's the surname of Delboy & Rodney.
hi helen!
I think I'm getting lost in all the Babble . . .
ok thanks Jac n Fran,,, then what is the mi5,12 then?
nice icon, helen!!! winner!!!
*sigh* back outside...longer this trip...don't give any good clues while I'm gone! I need them!
good morning all
i have the same word that you said was missing, it was on BJs list
that is just a strange word... but got it. thanks all.
hi arisha
69
i'm missing an ra 6/18 from the 4 in a row; i have portion, math plural, and rhymes with dick van
70
Stid - it's not strange here in UK - it refers to types of racehorses, and also pigs feet (which were once a 'treat' boiled in aspic).
the other mi5/12 bambam is british spelling of the joining of two pieces of wood in a right angle
241
thx lib - when i chose it last night, i had no idea how well it would reflect my foul mood today, lol!!!
rhymes with ... in a storm you bat*** down the hatches
Hi SamanthaJoy. Are you found again?
HI all, I am back again, ya6/24 please
or 6/21?
i want sex
Fran i need the one before that.... before the spanish island
thanks bambam, i have that one too (forgot to mention it), need the other...
I'm being quiet in a corner for the time being, thank you for asking
bambam, it was the underage person
or6/21 - a natural purple dye.
ra + not loose
peri, ya6/24 rhymes with the ne6/18 sort of
en 7,28?
the underage person was 5,18... that's why i'm confused.... Lickety's list has a 5,12 between "not yours" and the spanish island
thanks bambam, you rock!
unda - you are either on the wrong site or you are 'seeing' a word that's not in the grid. Nuff said!
someone please fuck me
oh goodie, who wants to contact dr god?
abe - isn't there still one ra 6/18 missing ? the last ra 6/18
the underage person is mi5/12, your grid is probably wonky, it does that sometimes
I will. brb
thanks stid
i have that too, my r's are complete. it was ra 6/18 frenzy!
I'll speak to Jamie. Oh, it's okay, Stid's on the case.
goodbye unda07 your kind not wanted here
Bambam - try refreshing the page.
that means i'm missing 1 word and don't know where.... AARGHHHHHHH
unda you paid for babble pro to come in and say that?!? What a LOSER

bye unda - we're having someone call your parents right now!
of course debb.it rhymes with dick van , just change the last vowel
i didnt pay for anything, but your mama did last night
message sent.

debb, do you have the ra6/18 that is rodent + number?
Fran, can't find the or6 - purple dye?
well, the urge to flip the bird is normal & healthy, helen :-)
Okay - get the troll spray out and press the ignore button everyone.
his mother is gonna be pissed
his mother is gonna be pissed
i thought you had to become a pro to use the chat
guess there always has to be one moron, no matter where you go
i do - i just cant get the dick van one -- ((shamed))
No, the chat is open to everyone
ok, still having trouble with that purple dye one the or one
so there!!
ok, lady benatar + consonant + opposite of off
Bambam - No. You can chat, but after about a fortnight you can't see the stats. You can't put and icon or profile up as a non pro either.
one rhymes with bat*** down the hatches... the other ends in stalec****
peri, that was jac's clue, but it's first 3 letters of the whale + last 3 letters of a blood vessel
I'm SOOOOOO hot, it's around 100 here. (hi)
Feather - hang on. I'm trying to think of some way to clue it for you.
Evening all. it seems I arrived at an inopportune moment.
Hello!
throw me the fish - i'm dense - thanks so much everyone
so can Dr. God trace this unda idiot?

Jac - too true. But I like mine enough to keep him. So I cook and clean and look after him, the Monster Baby and the Monster Dog. The things we do for love....
okay, back in a bit.
dorens, it's plural for a casual italian restaurant that serves simple fare
tr9 - like an Italian restaurant - with a different final vowel.
FranMag - I did say it again. LOL.
i know jac, was teasing you!! lol
Charm - am singing that song now, 'The things we do for love'.
I thought I might trigger that response, Jac!
and i'm singing backup!!
ok, got it thanks
hugs and puppy kisses Jai! whew, now i can mosey on to bed! ty ty ty!
All in unison now.
yay lbdawger!!!!!!
okay, I'm giving up on my last word -- please someone help me with the first ac 6?
Although, Fran, I have to say that the only tr9 I have ever been to (there was only 1, in Chicago) was pretty upscale. And the only saving grace was that my bosses at the time paid - so I didn't have heart failure at the bill.
Charm - am that predictable??? Sins in unison anyway...
nrk, highest card + metal for cans
Sins are good, too, Jac.
no no no no no -- I typed that in 20 times!!!
charm, in Italy though they are very casual
apparently not though
thanks fran, fireworks at last
all done nrkii?
yay, nrkii
lol nrk!!!! yay nrk!!!!!!!!
Meant sings! LOL. Told you I was getting pi**ed here.
yay!!!!!!
yay nrk
Jac - I have some favorite sins (reading trashy romances kinda tops the list) - so I won't judge you.
Boy, I feel like drop-kicking my computer after that grid...
i feel like that too and I have 11 left
stid? helen? i really want to see you both finish, but need to get going soon!
Middle age. One of the things it brings is gettiing pi**** 2 days before a crisis/celebration or whatever. It takes you that long to recover before it.
it was a long one!
Jac, you need an excuse to get pi****?
okay, must take short break now, but will brb
later nrk
feather, they both left to do something
I dunno. Once you could party all night and work next morning (sort of). Later .... Oh Jeeze! Pass the Resolve (hangover cure and rehydrater) someone!
ya i know...was hoping they were back
Jacula... I've heard of Chaser... what is Resolve?
Just out of curiosity: did Dr_God drop kick the troll out of here?
how would he make that happen, re troll?
he must have, haven't seen hide nor hair
back. Helen back yet? I don't want to finish without her!
i imagine he makes their login invalid
Paganlady - Resolve and Resolve Extra are made by Beechams. They have paracetamol, aspirin and rehydrating stuff in them. If you prefer another route, no less chemical, open a bottle of Coke ( not Pepsi) and let it go flat. It does the same job.BtW, my GP told me thaT!
Dr_God has his ways.
fran, will you pass these on to them, with my apologies for not sticking around to see them finish? *~*~*~*~*~*~*~BOOM*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~ #%#%#%#%#POW#%#%#%#%#%#%#%#
oh, you're back stid!
It sounded like the troll left on its own volition, but I think Dr. G will make it permanent
*ooooh* *ahhhh* thanks feather!
Jacula I've always thought Coke helped, but never let it go flat first
re 8,55. i'm seeing double now, lol
Chaser contains charcoal and something else... supposed to absorb the toxins if you take while drinking
good night feather, see you tomorrow...
a cold Coke always helped for me...back when i got pi**ed a lot that is
welcome! be sure helen gets them too! night
of course! sweet dreams
night feather!!!!
re5/10 (re*** fashion) + *** to be tied.
babbz, re8/55 is re5/10 + how your clothes *** (loose or snug)
I'm outta here for a while... frustrated
good luck all
bye paganlady!
i'm cluelessssssss
Paganlady - if you've got the squits (loose bowel movements, flat coke is the best cure. Just sipped though, not necked! When I was in the last week of my 2nd pregnancy, I got a gaastro-enteritis thing. The midwivewes (since I was having her at home) thought it would bring on the birth. I didn't know where best to sit on and where best to retch to, it was that bad! But my GP (local doctor) came in and prescribed te flat coke thing and it worked.
later paganlady
how interesting jac.
ne 7/28 please?
I need one last I... the IN 6/18 before the 5/10 please?
ok - is everyone done now? i broke a vase & had to clean up
dorens, more fish-catchery
i remember drinking flat coke back when i was a teenager if i was nauseous, and it helped for that
babbz = take the re5/10 above your re8 + a 3-letter word (how snugly your clothes *** or *** to be tied).
babbz - you're not totally clueless.m I've done the grid and I'm here mto help.
hi helen -- didn't realize you were that upset! better now?
stid, in + legal action
featherbee had to leave, but asked me to be sure you get
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~BOOM*~*~*~*~*~* ~*~*~ #% #%#%#%#POW#%#%#%#%#%#%#%# in advance and encouragement of your finishing....
take that 5/10--anagram it,and add the crossed letter
lol stid!! it wasn't on purpose was it helen?
is that fireworks stid?...congrats
that's a word too? thanks Dorens and Fran!
Helen - seriously?
no, not for me -- feather left them for Helen when she got back, to encourage her!
now only FIVE words left.
stid - i'm not upset :) - i'm just hormonal :) or :( depending on which way the wind is blowing
go stid!!
the ra 6/18 after the math term plural
Helen, come on girl! The hoirmones arten't worth breaking stuff over.xxxxxxxxxxxx BIG HUG!
and i still need a clule for the ne 7/28
*checks to see which way the emoticon is pointing* {{Helen}}
aw. that's nice - have to remember to thank feather & ty stid for relaying the booms
dorens, ra + sounds like opp of loose
if i knew it was going to break, then i WOULD have broken it on purpose, lol
dorens, sounds like a mineral or something, ra+bird+e
thanks fran
ne7/28 - more of the ne4/4 before it.
dorens, what you catch fish or butterflies with only more so (add comparative ending)
yw dorens
hi all. pls may I have clues for last ca 6/21 and last ca 5/16?
Getting peed now and don't care (though I may in the morning, which it already is, EEK! when I have to sort thosre extra 5kg in my suitcased out).
that's a nuttier word than i was expecting
hi phandmd! last ca 5/16 is the quality of being feline...
phandmd, ca6/21 is an alt spelling of the ca5/16 that is what women get sometimes
And I can'ty even spell now. Who cares? I can still clue, if asked.
ca5/16 and 6/21 - alt spelling: women like felines.
think of women fighting
perhaps I should say: women who act like felines.
okay Jacula... how about the mi 7/36 which I somehow didn't get when it was clued before?
thanx mucho
the last te 5/10 pls?
Dorens just used an nu grid word!

daisy, it's a fish
how about ne 7/32????

last te5/10 - related to the number 4.
Stid - it's a Spanish island holiday place.
daisy, sounds like the beginning of a polygon te***zoid
majorca?

Holpe the4 fire words don't butn you! LOOL.
good. now help me with the to 5/14 and i'll be happy
te7/32 is te + c + ending of cave deposits, stalac****
ne7/32 = related to death + flower (tea-, tuber-, David Austin).
Or, well done Helen! Hoipe the fireworks don't burn you. LOL.
ty all & thank you for your patience, understanding & encouragement :) you are all sweethearts:)))
there are fireworks going off outside in the next town.
but they are ral ones
to5/14 = add the sometime vowel to the end of the to4/4 before it.
to 5/14 - put the sometimes vowel on the end of the previous word
helen, so are you! (usually anyway) lol :-)
aha, that worked like a charm
and now i have fireworks inside my house!!!
lol - thanks
yw. Helen-did we think alike or what????
Okay, down to ONE. I am going to try for the last one myself... beb

Hi Ren! Got 3 shoofl,y pies in the freezer to keep you goling whilst I'm away.
hey ya mab
the first en is what police do with the law... en + fo 5
en 6/27---great mutual hatred
thanks Dorens!
congrats stid and helen
oh, yes right stid - my brain is elsewhere, soaked up by the grid
hiya mab !
the en 6/27 is a dislike or hatred for someone or something.
shoofly pie, mmmmmmm....
thank you mistress....i was worried
dbsue, the first number represents the total number of letters in the word, and the second, the total points (watch out on the points though, because a 5-letter word counts x2, a 6-letter word counts x3, etc)
yeah, I can't think of what that hatred word might be
don't let your bug near the pies ren
en + high and m***** (mispelled)
i won
fireant renfield?
i won;t mab..
dbsue - the number on the letters just tell you the value of the tile - this comes in handy if you use lickety's list which you can find below the grid under friends of babble - it is a very handy check-off list
yes - left over from yesterday...sorry - just arrived home from the office
it's okay. How's the weather for you? hot?
got it thanx for the spoon feeding.
I needed plenty of soft foods today too phandmd!

dbsue, welcome and good luck!
at 8 is lawyer
at 6 lose last two letters of lawyer
think of lawyers atropos
agreed. this was not as friendly a grid as the last few.
agragram for the ti word. me tiny.

yw
now, now, nrkii..my dd was a lawyer, and he was one of the good guys--it took me years to understand all thelawyer jokes

nrkii - It sure does!
i am sorry...i am still ot used to this site and forgot to move my cursor...i wil be quiet
dbsue, welcome to one of the unwritten challenges of babble -- we all do it once in a while!

Good evening to my fellow Babblers! How is everyone?

very very tired min
162, and I am giving up for this grid, my fingers are sore.I did buy a very useful Scrabble Players Dictionary though, in case there is anyone out there except me who didnt already have one
ooh, jacula, are you still there?
I read throught the log and I just saw a lot of people leaving!Hope there are some cluers left!I was able to make it to 136 words by myself. I like the grid tonite!
unca, is it a book?
Miknver - me, well oln the way to getting pie-eyed, ready folr hour in the airp;ort, then a 4-hour + flight in non-smoking.
Where are you going Jacula? Are you on vacation now
Jacula, you leave for Crete Thursday?
take lots and lots of fotos mistress!!
yes, published by Merriam- Webster
minver, I can clue for a while
Never mind, nrkii just answered my question I think!
I Ping!Thank you for welcoming me to the grid tonite
how about the 9's nrkii?
You are the first one to say that back to me!Thanks!
Translation _ I'm up late, drinking way too much and hoping I can get through all the airport stuff with a nicotine patch and sleep, anbd a big Babble to occupy me.
one nine is qu 9, group of 5, with long (french) ending
mmin, you welcomed me last night - appreciated that!
seem to have a stutter tonight, apparently
Crete is my destinatikon on Frikday night.
the other 9 is like an italian casual restaurant -- tr 9, but end with different last vowel
or even Friday night!
ac 5/12 - the middle one?
ah, okay will be able to wish you happy vacation tomorrow then, though also glad to wish you one tonight!
ac 5/12 is what drama students do + not out
ohhhh, sounds lovely, jacula.
Does anyone have a clue for the ac 6/21 word please
Ping - I guess you are not lookingg for theland measure aftert yhe singular 4/5.
Actually,I need both ac 6/21 words if you have them.
min, same word I just clued, but add a vowel in middle
thanks, nrkii -that is the one
thanks, jac, but i had the land measurement
Should I stop typing now? I seem to be spectaurely pi**ed enough!
jacula, while all the wishes are whirling about, i also send my best wishes for a wonderful vacation!!!
thanks nrkii!
don't stop jac - loving evcery clue
So do you mean add a vowel to the land measurement
how about the 8's?
keep going jac, you're among friends
oh jacula, please keep typing, you are cracking me up!
I've also lost the p[ower to spell.
ok do i have this rite?in referencing 6/21 ac means a word starting with ac and worth 21 points??
minver, no, try this instead: Top card in the deck, plus material for making a can
just don;t lose your power to vamp mistress!
with 6 letters
dbsue, yes, but keep in mind that it's a 6, so the points are multiplied by 3 (ie, 7 points on the tiles x 3 = 21)
ren, at 8 = lawyer
uh...i should have known that....
8's Ren? No chance! Have 'em but to pi**ed to type the m.
re 8 = modernize or update (compound word, where the second word is 3 letters that mean "in shape")
ar 6/18?
lol, ren I didn't even think of that
Thanks a lot nrkii!Did you go to a special class where they train you how to give perfect clues?Maybe that could be offered in the Babble store for idiots like me
ar 6/18 is "better with the pastels and oil paints perhaps"
thanks, nrkii
Oh, this is greaty fun... jusdt wish it wouldn't taKAEME SO LONG TO RECOVER - method in my madness though.;)
Hi all!

Apologies now to all Babblers, for my drunken state.
