the reason I ask - its a specific question. one of my friends wants to get divorced, but basically she hasn't got enough money to be able to afford it, and her husband's present activities are pretty much putting her and her son in danger. and he refuses to get an official divorce

I'm not entirely certain what the point of the mock wedding was - apparently part of RE with a bit of PSHE (personal, social and health education) thrown in - though I think it's just a tradition. The vicar told the 'groom' that he really should take the opportunity to kiss her - and they had to restage the kiss three times for photos. She was soo embarrassed - partly because her mum and dad were there (mine's a Sarah too!)
BTW - I'm pretty close to as conservative as you can get. Not OPEN!

that's an understatement. when i lost mine, we were in the process of buying a house, and that was being delayed for stupid reasons. i got very depressed, to the point that i once said "i wonder what would happen if i wasn't here". THAT scared me. it helped to move in to the new house, and i got pg a bit later, which also helped.
