That will be a very special time for you Sprite. Would have been v comforting for her to be surrounded by people who loved her. I am so sorry for you for your loss.
It went so very fast. About 2 months she discovered a lump in her breast. Yesterday she was scheduled for her first chemo, but when she got there, by ambulance, it was clear that chemo no longer was indicated. They said she would die in a couple of days. It was only hours. It was very, very good to be able to be with her until the very end.
With her passing, a little bit of all of you went with her. But remember, a large bit of her remains with you, to comfort you. She was blessed to have her friends with her, to help her go.
Thanks, all, for your comfort :) That's exactly how it feels, pida, it is so true. We went with her for a part of the way, and it is somehow hard to come back here. I will babble a bit and chat, and then sleep. That will help!

The detection was very early, that is the saddest part. They removed the lump and it was so very small, they were actually certain they were in time. Only when they checked further, there were shadows on some bones, and then the mri showed it was cancer too, of an extremely aggressive type. It ate away our friend in only a couple of months.
Sprite, I'm very to hear of your loss. I lost my Dad to the big C. He was fine, got sent home from the docs a couple of times, then one day the doc sent him straight to hospital, within a couple of months he dwindled away to nothing. It is an awful awful thing to witness and my heart truly goes out to you. Find the strength in the beauty of your friends life, you will never forget her.

Sprite I too am a Cancer survivor all I can say to you is at least she is not in pain anymore and she went quickly in the end I will lift and your families up in prayer for comfort and understanding
((((sukee)))) That is great! We were told that the aggressiveness of this type of cancer is very rare, the odds should have been so much better for her if it hadn't been this aggressive, but it wasn't to be.
Very true, Tiny, thank you. The cancer was in her bone marrow and she was in agony. We are all grateful the suffering is over and she is in peace now.
Can I please put in a word to support cancer research of any type. They are constantly finding new and more effective ways to beat cancer and, as it will invariably touch all of us in one way or another, then it is in all our interest to support it in any way we can. I am another cancer survivor.
hearing about the ones who didnt make it is hard for us survivors to as we dont understand why it happened to them but we were saved. I myself was told I only had six weels to live but God had other plans and healed me in three so I first believed I was going to die then they told me I was going to live very hard to understand
It warms my heart to hear there are so many survivors here. ((((Tiny)))) That is really miraculous, and I can imagine it being very hard to understand.
Do you know it has been nearly twelve years but I still get teary eyed when I think how close I came to being with Our Father in Heaven and not seeing my children grow up
