hey andree! i've been meaning to tell you a story.
doing good andreee
hello andree
nite, stiddy!
any chemists out there? I'm stuck on something...
remember the other day when you told us about vacuuming up one of your keys?
the very next day i was watching martha stewart and she was doing a segment on keeping your computer clean.
laila tov, stid - day old chocolate cake is delicious with a little half 7 half poured over it ;)
hi fran
nite stid
sweet dreams stid!
half & half - i always miss the shift key
don't tell me she used the vac
her very first tip was...don't use a vacuum cleaner on your keyboard because it's possible to suck up loose keys!
night stid!

*giggling hysterically at the key story...* *poof*
'night stid
hi ml!
hello everyone else
hi ml

i thought about you immediately andree!
I have the backspace key, but no idea what to stick it back on with
back with my icon
andree, maybe you can find her tips on www.marthastewart.com, she probably has a solution for that.
silly word of the night - floob - possibly a sound effect from a Don Martin cartoon
lol fran!
sounds good to me melon!
was a pretty silly idea in the first place, can't be trusted with vac, always looking for some thing extra to suck up, lol
i think floob is the sound i nake if i run without a bra
rofl!!
lol melon
someone please tell me the official difference between an herb & a spice - i was going to use dill, but then i thought, no that's an herb
melon, you're such a go4/9 ball!
Herbs vs. Spices We often use the words herb and spice interchangeably. Herbs and spices are obtained from plants. (Salt is neither a spice nor an herb. It is actually a mineral.) Herbs and spices are used primarily for adding flavor and aroma to food. And both are best used fresh but can be saved by drying. While there are similarities, there also are subtle differences between herbs and spices. Herbs are obtained from the leaves of herbaceous (non-woody) plants. They are used for savory purposes in cooking and some have medicinal value. Herbs often are used in larger amounts than spices. Herbs originated from temperate climates such as Italy, France, and England. Herb also is a word used to define any herbaceous plant that dies down at the end of the growing season and may not refer to its culinary value at all. Spices are obtained from roots, flowers, fruits, seeds or bark. Spices are native to warm tropical climates and can be woody or herbaceous plants. Spices often are more potent and stronger flavored than herbs; as a result they typically are used in smaller amounts. Some spices are used not only to add taste, but also as a preservative. Some plants are both herbs and spices. The leaves of Coriandrum sativum are the source of cilantro (herb) while coriander (spice) is from the plant's seeds. Dill is another example. The seeds are a spice while dill weed is an herb derived from the plant's stems and leaves.
gee fran !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL
oops, didn't think it was that long...there you go helen.
now THATS an answer!!!
*hk feel obliged to now read fran's version of war & peace*
she asked!! :-)
hey - i needed a good laugh :) tx
okay, have to give up the computer for a few minutes. be back later when helen is done reading.
I'm back and suitably attired icon-wise
my definition - if i have it in my garden it's an herb - if I don't it's a spice :)
hi, busy in the grid - yes i am Fran & thanks for the Fran-o-pedia on herbs/spices
;) saphyre

haha - nan & i on same wavelength there
48 because i am not a g
only one 7 here
me, too - the chess one
Anyone have the an6,7 yet?
thats the one
no 7's, only 2 6's - i'm not so good with the big words, leave those for the smart people to find
ok, tx
I have the an7. German plural for the german An6.
Can you clue the an6? Pls?
Looked up the def to see what it means in English. 1. Biology. The initial clustering of embryonic cells from which a part or an organ develops; primordium. 2. A genetic predisposition to a given trait or personality characteristic. 3. A fundamental principle; the foundation for a future development.
Or: an + site slowness + vowel = 6. Add consonant for the 7.
yes, clearly summer sis not take her ritalin today, can
t wait more than 1/2 hour before asking for clues, lol
*did*
ty sprite
ga 6
I am pretty sure that 'pagh' is Klingon for some kind of (still moving) food.
lol sprite - sounds about right :)
ga6/27 is plural of ga5 - a quick dance - horsy sort
there are 2x ga6/27. Last 2 letters differ.
OK - got the an7 - the German hint helped - in english, an prefix doesn't usually precede p or l, converts to am for the p - enough linguistics....
huh melon?
true, melon.
oh never minds me - i was just trying to say i could not think of any english words that begin ANP or ANL.
it made sense, sprite - i'm a bit punchy - last wet day in ceramics studio is tomorrow - i'm finishing up my second ever teapot
melon - please stop hurting my head! :)
that was a question: it made sense, sprite?
o sprite ty starts tge same but different ending??
ooooh, poor hk, {pat on head, verrry gently}
yes, it did, melon! In Dutch you cannot have ANP either, the N becomes M before P. Not sure about the L, but pretty sure we don't have ANL words either.
oh, looky - i passed halfway & got the 7s - 'nite!
ty melon & wtg!
Night melon!
did you all get your washing off the line
sweet dreams melon :)
by melon

oops, i was thinking of the wrong word, it sounds like that snake though!
was it a variety that allegedly bit cleopatra?
taz, add another bumpy letter in between.
en + "EN" + two vowels....
o yes ty bfm sr
thank you summer -- that's greyed out the last column for me.
yw!
Does anyone else try to grey out a column or row like in Bingo? Or is that kind of compulsiveness something I shouldn't admit to?
phantom:legacy
yw tax. Thank you all for the great clues!
Does anyone have either of the u's?
taz! I think that's a sign I need to get back to work.
take your washing of the line jan

mkl, could you please tell me what the other 7 starts with? I have an7/36.
bi7 a real word
there's a ps 4, fran
plural of bi6

how many points is that bi6?
30, Fran
Having to do with the church

Having to do with the church
thanks sprite.
or with chess.

yw

Gotta run. Night all and good luck
night mkl!
Nope on the an7
night mkl!
'night mkl
clue for the an6 & an7?
please?
an + site slowness + vowel = 6. Add consonant for the 7.
nice bit of German there!
just found them on morewords right before you clued!
But with a different meaning, as far as I know. I thought in German it means something you send enclosed with a letter.
don't get site slowness?
Then you are one of the few lucky ones, Crone!
yok
crone, think a delay from when you click a button until something happens
can you try again for me? down to 5 words and seeing double
an + f*** (old glory) + vowel
then for 7 add another consonant on the end
18 to go here, and have "hit the wall"
ml, great array of herbs and spices!
I'm down to 12 and calling it a day also -- see you tomorrow :)
23 here and leaving the rest until tomorrow, happy babbling all
night nan and Andree
ty fran
speaking of site delays, i just had one
night nan and andree!
yw crone!
'night nan, Andree
ty Fran for the icon compliment... I dug it out of my collection of things snagged from the net
Bye Andree & Cybernan - Hello everyone else
hi lynxxx!
hi lynxxx
ok swap you my firstborn for ps4
depends.... what's your firstborn like?
crone, it's plural of the "prefix" for psychic thinks
lol Crone! You terrible parent! Plural of greek letter.
psis
ps4 ps + I am, you are, he * *
oops
you got it!
I am not, ml :)
lol Crone
crone said a woooord!
I am
at least sometimes
I refuse to be
I cultivate it
and i don't mean the ps
deliberately
he's good vaue (my firstborn) 33 years old, 6'2", dark, handsome and a PhD
btw.... what is it anyway?
ooh, sounds nice Crone... might like him better than the one I have now
where do you want him sent fran?
just thinking the same metal :P
LMAO Crone - does he know you sell him out so easily?
i thought we were swapping? you get my 3-year old?
:o)
grin
Wow Crone - what other clues do you want?
he's used to it now - he used to get cross when he was in his teens
I can't trade... don't have a born, first or otherwise
Run to the s4 and buy a babyborn, meta - will do just as nicely.
my 5'9" slightly overweight husband might not appreciate having him around, especially if he knows i bartered for him.
lynx - you can have the next one down - he's fair, 6'5", gorgeous, but only has a bachelors in science
complete waste of space
no! hold out for a PhD one! lol
might do that sprite... as long as I can give it back for a refund if I don't like it as well as I thought I would
That
That's the nice thing of buying them in a s4 - you can return if not satisfied :)
but, the B.Sci. one is still young enough and malleable enough to "train"
You have done well Crone! any daughters? I have a son I would like to get rid of!
I'm open for bids on the youngest boy. he's a punk and at 6'7" the mohawk looks absurd
good point sprite
maybe they'll let me take one on appro
wow, how tall are you crone?
open for bids, Crone? I'd say, tell me what I get extra and I might consider taking him in.
you've got some big boys Crone
try before you buy Metal ?!
yep lynx got a 23yo doing second year degree in forensic science - she's good value
or better yet, what did you feed them crone?
you betcha lynxxx
if at all possible
i'll shift the whole lot before christmas and save a bundle
Its got to be in the genes! Crone you are amazing - you must be so proud!
i'm only 5'7" and it was like living in a forest of testosterone
no way to hide that much pride, however hard you try, Crone :)
yeh lynx they owe it all to me!! their dad is a useless waste of space
LOL Crone - I am sure not!
they sound like great kids... even mohawk boy...
and he's got time to grow into being as spectacular as his siblings
mohawk boy (30yo) changed his name by deed poll to Puke Punk just to p*** off his dad - and the only person he hasn't told is ? you guessed it
LOL
lol, he sounds like the one I"ve got now... a real s4 stirrer for sure
got that right - but he is cuddly
got to run now cheers all
sounds like you have a great, great family, Crone. Bye!
night crone!
bye Crone!
'night Crone, let me know if you have a "sale"
wait!...don't you need my address? :-)
i have to go too ... taking the pup for her winter trim
'bye for now Ata
have fun, Ata!
bye ata!
Bye Ata !
I will return with half the dog I have now!
yeah, and got to pay for it as well!
thats a good point! I need to get some cash on the way ... thanks for reminding me!

Hello Wolvie, hodag, kth etc.
I have a bi7, what does the other one begin with please?
an7/36
ty haz is it a regular word that i have a chance of finding?
It's a German plural word for an6/24. Not a common word I would say.
In embryology it's the equivalent of a bud, in psychology it's an inherited trait.
good morning
good morning blood
Good morning Bloodaxe.
hi blood
hi blood
how's the grid today?
good morning again everyone:)
gm
good morning 6a
I think it's tricky, Bloodaxe. Lots of normal words, but some strange ones to keep you surprised.
well we must keep on our toes, eh?
hi jean and anaw
hi jean
I suppose so, Bloodaxe.
didn't see the bu4/8 for quite a while-must be an hysterical blindness
hi ana
hi jean
I can't find this an
hi eva almost missed your message
similar to make larger, kth
opps - that's the 6
an7 - google Belfast river, then change the final vowel. The singular word is formed by removing the final consonant
figured you were just absorbed-do you have an an7 yet?
add a hump letter for the 7
i just got started
Good morning all. Is the grid nasty or nice today?
ty I have them now, I was looking in completely the wrong direction
pretty good with a few tricks, jac
hi jac it's not bad so far
Good morning Jacula. It depends. Lots of normal words, quite a few strange ones and the grid is structured strangely. But don't let me put you off!
good morning jacula:)
I've found 9 words since my first post. I'll carry on. LOL.
I knew you would carry on regardless!
13 words now. Haz - you know me too well.:)
Haz-I keep googling belfast river and not finding anythng with an an....what am I doing wrong?
Incidentally, Hunting Cat seems okay this morning so I assume it was someone' defrosting dinner (the chicken breast) he nicked last night and not a poisoned one.
eva the river comes after the an
It's an plus the Belfast river (final vowel changed). Sorry, I should have made it clearer.
ah...
Well, I'm glad Hunting Cat is okay, but keep your head down as you go past your neighbours' houses.
sorry-not quite awake yet
I intend to, Haz.:(
jac, has your cat gone criminal?
Good morning Babblers.
morning scrabbler
hi scrabbler
I have been on the receiving end of a thieving cat. Next door's cat once stole a bag containing 4 defrosting pork chops. Difficult to explain to your starving children......
Eva - He brought a large, raw chicken breast home last night. Someone's intended dinner, I think.:(
gm scrabbler
very enterprising...can you send him out for pizza too?
good morning scrabbler:)
Morning all Naughty Hunting cat - but living up to his name by the sound of it Jacs.
Well, I've had a neighbour's cat jump on me and my daughter whilst we were actually eating our bacon sandwiches & nick some bacon. Another cat, I caught in the act of trying to drag a whole defrosting chicken off the work surface.
Good morning FMitch!
good morning FMitch:)
don't you guys have screens on your windows?
Good morning FMitch, Scrabbler and anyone else I've missed.
morning FMitch
No, Eva - few bugs to keep out.
Eva - Nope.
wow-what a concept. If we didnt have screens we'd be carried off
ROFLOL about stories of cat thieves and the idea of cats delivering pizza
Hi FMitch
I was envisioning jacula as a sort of feline Fagin, sending her furry minions out to bring back the loot
Morning Haz and everyone
LOL Eva
lol eva
G'd morning all! Is today's grid going to give me self esteem issues?
good morning LoriP:)
hi lori - shouldn't think so. :-)
Good morning LoriP. Maybe, maybe not. How's that for decision?
My morning newspaper (tossed at the end of my driveway) is often missing, and I suspect neighbor's dogs steal it for their owners.
It's a good mix of normal and the weird and wonderful today LoriP
Haz, for breakfast, did you have waffles....... :)
Lori, we will help keep your BSE (Babble self-esteem) in the high range. Just ask for clues!
No, I have the same breakfast every morning to save me having to decide on anything else!
LOL Scrabbler, that's good to know.
feline Fagin? That's nice. Harumph! I go off to make a pot of tea and I am maligned! LOL.
The self-esteem issues will be for those trying to give clues to weird words.
Is everyone ready for their Thanksgiving feast? I still have a few items to buy, but the big bird is defrosting in the refrigerator (so the neighbor's cats cannot get to it)
we don't have thanksgiving over here
We don't do Thanksgiving here in UK, Scrabbler. 23rd not a good day for me anyway; 3rd anniversary of my Dad's death.:(
almost ready - making the pumpkin pies, cranberry chutney, and cinnamon rolls today
my kids are all coming home - very ready
I know, but you're missing out on a day of gluttony and fun. (Sorry, Jacula :<(
One Thanksgiving heard a thump in the kitchen, as I was sitting with guests, went in and found the 26 pound turkey on the floor with the cat perched on top.....didn't say anything to anyone, but carved the bird before it got to the table to disguise the claw marks
I'd love to see a cat try to steal a frozen turkey!
picking up my turkey at the local farm tomorrow
LOL eva - what else could you do?
LOL Eva!!!
Eva - LOL. I'd have done the same.
Classic Eva was that Merp?
i'll be feasting on tagine...no t-day here either.
Ahh yes, almost Thanksgiving to the south. Eva, you made the only choice possible in that aituation. :)
blood what is tagine?
no-one of Merps' predecessors-Atticus. Glad to see that my ethics are upheld
One Christmas, my Mum and my auntie got drunk whilst cooking dinner & they dropped the turkey on the floor. They served it up and said nothing until afterwards.:)
i'll show you! give me a sec.
love tagine!
tagine is great
non cat people can be a bit squeamish about things like a little fur or cat drool on their food. I just don't think abouit where those paws have been
Or where their tongue has been.
well yes, that too(-:
Yuk, Scrabbler. Well, Hunting Cat has a foot fetish - not only 'humps' my shoes but licks my feet. Makes Paul go green (and not with envy).
I was never that keen on turkey anyway :)
lol FM
I don't like turkey either
...Which is why, when he licked the topping on a lime cheesecake & a chocolate cake, I binned them!:(
did it work?
Merp has a habbit of toe nibbling Jac-can be a bit shocking to guests, especially ones who unconsciously wiggle their toes
ROFL @Merp
yep - your icon changed blood - good pic!
yes blood I see it, what is it though lol
Blood - Yes. It looks tasty. You've made me hungry now.
My bunnies are lickers too. Sebastian, the one I sleep with, sometimes licks me in my sleep and then I dream that it must be Russell Crowe or George Clooney licking me.
lol scrabbler
Scrabbler - I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.
sorry jac. that was one of my favorite tagines. i also love the kefta, which is like a meatball tagine with a red sauce.
well george clooney does have that twitchy nose and big floppy ears...
bonkler - LOL.
kt, tagine is a generic name for the type of dish. it's cooked in the clay pot on an open fire of hot coals. there are several different types of tagine, several variationsof chicken, beef, and lamb.
Well, go ahead and cry for me Jac, because those men will never be licking me except in my mind.
oh ok blood, doesn't sound like my kind of food really
Aw, Scrabbler.((xx))
are you vegetarian kt?
yeah
srabbler, if they're licking in your mind, at leaast it will keep your brain nice and moist
yea, you wouldn't like tagine...hahaha
bonkler - ROFLOL.
That's OK, Jac. I accept that my fantasies are not at all based on reality. (LOL, bonkler)
i wonder if they make one without meat? it usually comes with olives. i had one that had a wonderful pyramid of potatoes with the meat underneath the mound.
Scrabbler - I've found a couple of nice bunny words in the grid (ho4/6 & lo4/5).
TY for those clues, Jacula.
Blood - Yes. Vegetarian tagine recipes abound.
good to know jac...so you can come visit kt and feast on tagine!
what's in them jac?
kth - root vegs & lots of spices.
Yesterday eyore was a phantom but today his more famous friend is in the grid and valid.
TY FMitch
now that sounds nice, I'll have to find one and pass it to my husband
Oh, so he is, FMitch. Thanks!
ye, and he plurals too
kth - Google 'vegetarian tagine'. Here's one recipe to start you off: INGREDIENTS * 1 pound parsnips, peeled and diced * 1 pound turnips, peeled and diced * 2 medium onions, chopped * 1 pound carrots, peeled and diced * 6 dried apricots, chopped * 4 pitted prunes, chopped * 1 teaspoon ground turmeric * 1 teaspoon ground cumin * 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger * 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon * 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper * 1 tablespoon dried parsley * 1 tablespoon dried cilantro * 1 (14 ounce) can vegetable broth DIRECTIONS 1. In a slow cooker, toss together the parsnips, turnips, onions, carrots, apricots, and prunes. Season with turmeric, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, parsley, and cilantro. Pour in the vegetable broth. 2. Cover, and cook 9 hours on Low.
Kate, I am usually a vegetarian, but I am weak when it comes to a roasted turkey.
ty jac
Looks yummy, Jacula.
lol scrabbler I've never liked turkey much
FMitch - back with the bunny words - you can put a letter in front of the lo*-eared one to make a *lo**y bunny.
I was a vegetarian for 18 years, but Thanksgiving turket was the one thing I didn't resist
*I meant, Scrabbler.
TY Jac--got the fl 4 and 5 now. I agree with you, Eva--the temptation is tough to resist.
floob should be a word
time for a break. brl
bye blood
OOPS, I have been chatting for too long--I have to leave for a doctor's appt! I'll be back tonight!
Lots of comic book words found so far.

More addictions - but quicker than babble!

Thanks, Haz.
1 6 to go...

You're welcome - Jacula, should I do my ironing or stay on babble?
No idea, kth.
Haz - Hmm. Stay here but bring the ironing board into the study?
an, bi, 2ga, ge, ho, sh, sp
Oh thats lateral thinking Jacs
:)), FMitch.
kth - it's the 'an'.
I'll stay for 10 minutes then do the ironing. I have a nice little place in the utility room and the study would get too steamy!
do you have the an7?
kth - yes.
take the last letter off
Haz - a steamy study would never do!
A steamy study sounds rather intriguing... :)
Thanks, kth!
Your minds are like sewers sometimes!
Lori - I was thinking that, too.;)
Tee, hee, Haz.
For the drinkers amongst us, I see both pu4/8 & in4/4 are in the grid.
So, have you all got the uh5 word?

Hello Babble Friends it's me FaerieKae I had to start a new account cause Dr_G and I can't seem to find my Faeriekae account after I logged out on Sun.
hi faerie, nice to see you back on pro
Hi Faerie. Looks like Tink got her revenge then!
hello faerie:)
Hello Faerie - not too difficult to make the change. At least you're not pretending to be someone else!
Are ge 4/7 and 5/16 "regular" words, or am I down a quart, on coffee?
No more spanking, Faerie!
welcome Faerie, even though there is less of you(r name)
Hi Inge :)
Hello Faerie (or is it?)!!
ge4/7 and ge5/16 - ge5/16 is a 'type' in latin, as used in botanical terminology. Remove the plural letter for the ge4
I'll try to be good but I cant' promise
Hiya BV yep it's Me

Woo Hoooo ANGELSONG*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
WTG Angel, didn't even know you were here!
COngrats Angel
LOL, Bunny...I'm a lurker...sometimes
It OK, I'm one up on you. I'll get bored in the middle of the day and just pop in and read the log... all of it. I really need to make some friends !
Angel are you working on Laurens christmas gift?
yes, Faerie. The photos turned out great. I had them copied.
cool
cost so far is about 5 dollars!
Can I ask what you are making?
excellent
but the memories are priceless.
Bunny, I'm making a cookbook for my daughter, with my grandmother's recipes in it, plus photos of my grandparents, myself, my daughter when she was 5 and her son when he was an infant.
yep you can't put a price on pics
angel what a wonderful gift
That's sweet.
It's that the nicest gift idea :)
it's a lot of fun, and pretty easy to do. I'm putting it into a looseleaf notebook format, so she can add to it herself.
Last year I helped my grandma clean out her closets and all her clutter to re-organize. I found 103 rolls of 110 film, so I had them all developed for her Christmas gift. I wasn't as crafty as you are though, but it was great sitting around looking thru them.
Angel, I did that for my son when he went to college. He's married now and still uses it.
awwww BV that had to be soooo cool
Can't believe how I used to wear my hair in some of those pics :(
I've been up over three hours, giving in to temptation, going outside to smoke. Brb
Ok Bunny good for you :)
I need to stop smoking myself
How how often do you smole yourself?
what do you mean K & B
Can someone clue sp6?
don't have it yet Chile
the sound it makes when you stamp in a puddle
smoked salmon is much better than smoked faerie :)
yes it is FM LOL
Thanks KT...I was working on the other s and p
((((((FMitch))))) how have you been?
Chiles - a sp**** of water with diff vowel
sp6 what happens when you jump in water, different vowel
I feel better...
(((Faerie))) fine but cold as my heating is not working at the moment.
oh no fm, you must be freezing
Oh no FMitch, bundle up, don't get sick! Are you getting it repaired today?
Oh No you better get that working lady and bundle up real good
sp + waterproof overshoes: ga****es
I've gone for the layered look, including leg warmers and fingerless gloves :)
No not being repaired today BV, waiting for a couple of cheques to clear in the bank and then can get the repair man in
go to Claire's Accessories, FM, you can buy armwarmers there!
and do you have repair person on the way?
fmitch we have no heating in our house, we picked up one of those little fan heaters for aout £10 and it does a great job of warming a room
FMitch....sounds like a good day to go to a movie or shopping at the mall
LOL Ata I have a small fan heater in my office kth so I use that to boost the temp from time to time.
and go get a spaniel. they are little radiators!
I want to get a pet rabbit for indoors, my husband says no, so I'm gonna pick one up while he is at work...
go for it bunny
How will he react BV?
He'll get over it, like I got over the $800.00 stereo system he picked up after work a week or two back lol.
LOL BV good one
oh ho, this could be fun!
oh bunny, get two to spite him :D
preferabky a male and a female
Lol, how bout a whole herd?
Buy and make and a female and you will have that very quickly.
Think I can pick em up at the market for $5 a piece, how many can I get for $800.00?!
yes you absolutely need a male and a female
lmao that's a lot of bunnys
160 BV
80 of each
This could get fun.
for maximum effect you should probably get about 120 females and 40 males ...
soon you could have 800 bunnies
yes Ata your are correct you don't need nearly as many males
Teach him to buy a stereo without consulting me first!
Thats right BV he think twice the next time won't he
What was his reason/excuse for buying it?
I let him take the Best Buy card to replace my camera cord, he said the stereo was on sale, it was a great deal.
He forgot the cord for the camera.
whoops!
typical male lol
It really was a good deal, but I didn't say that.
Thanks for making me laugh this morning that sounds exactly like something my husband would do. rofl
your a good woman BV LOL
my husband wouldn't buy anything but food without asking me first
Oh, here's another. We just bought this house with the intentions to add on right. I framed out a cat house (big one) and then threw out my back, so he finished it. Looks like two four year olds put it together, horrible!! Can't imagine what the add ons will look like!!
I guess one of the perks of being single is that I don't have to ask anyone before make any type of purchase
I only answer to myself *now did you really need that* rofl
lol faerie
He's not prone to impulse buys, he's actually pretty frugal. It was just the amount of the purchase that got to me, but he countered with, " You put a microwave and vaccum on the card!". So...
I can buy as many shoes as I want and now and no one can say "so 150 pair isn't enough huh"
lol
wow faerie thats a lot of shoes, do you wear them all?
of course I wear them all I love shoes and boots and purses and jewelry and makeup and perfume and and and and
I was thinking what size do you wear? I only have 5 pair (we can share!!).
I have 7 pairs of shoes and I only wear 2 of them
BV I wear a 6 1/2 in a shoe and a 7 in a heel or boot *teehee* come on over
Shoot, I have honker feet, 8 1/2.
dang BV and I'm willing to share
faeriekae? is that you?
TO !!!!!!!! It's meeeee
We are still trying to figure that out....
hi faeriekae! hi everyone!
I messed my faeriekae account and Dr_G couldnt fix it so we created a new account for I just have to start out at 0 in the ranking which is fine by me

I'll be back later. Bye everyone. Nice meeting you e-bunny. Hope we can chat again.
i've been in Morocco for about 3 months now, and i've never been so sure that the midwest is where i belong.
ditto babe
and i dont' know where the nearest starbucks is.
magzel it looks like the word for assist or aid spelt wrongly, use the tile points
Restaraunts and stores are at least 20 minutes one way to get to.....I would say the midwest is great because people have a level headed perspective out there.
if i look out the window i can see our starbucks :P
Morocco must be beautiful though...
bgmadden, where on the east coast, I am guessing Maine
where did you live before you moved? Morocco is GREAT..i love it here. but ND is always going to be home.
rightmy nans not here so im off see you guys x
No more on the Virginia side... I lived nest to klaurel of all things.
i think alot of my realization about home is that Morocco is like ND in a lot of ways.
How long are you there for Blood?

4 to go ap5.12,bu4.8,bu5.18,and the en5.12 clues anyone?
ap 5 -- not your bro but your ***
en5/12: boredom. french style
bu5/18 is the plural of bu4/8
bu -- add *enry kissenger and *ove potion number nine
didnt get the en5/12 clue ( my last one)
thanx Ka&Ba, I needed almost the same ones to finish and that did it.
Congrats, Mooch!!
en5 is a word that means boredom or indifference. it
en + **** and void, but drop the last consonant
en -- mosquitoes can be a great ***sance
fireworks!!! thanks every one
ge 6/27 please?
congrats, sharons!!!!!
Hooray sharons!!
there are 2 ge 6/27's
Einstein was a ge*****
I think you're looking at the ga's Ka
thanks inge
ge6/27, a very smart person
ga6/27 what a person wears in rainy weather
ga6/27 what a horse does, not trot but faster, minus one of the double consonants
lickety says 138 words...anonymous says 139...which is right??
138
138
ty
138
How many words today?
Who is anonymous?
Babblers Anonymous Merk under Friends of Babble. There's loads of stuff on there.
I am missing an F and i cant figure out what it is
Hmmm, never have been there.
Better than Lickety's List?
two fo and 7 fl's.
I am missing an fo
i have the fo 4/7
It's a much simpler version but it was the fore runner. Theer are also sections for recepies and stories and loads of other things.
fa 4/9; 4/7; 4/8; 5/18; 4/8; 5/18; 5/16; 4/8; 4/7
fo 7-- the gestapo wa also known as the **
Help, I can't get started on the fa's
should be fo 4/7
fa 4/9 --- the stars and strips is the fa 4/9 of the USA
fo4/8 = if you take a fish out of water it will wiggle and fl**, take out second consonant and add plural
I bird can fl** its wings
Ain't no fa's . .
*A
*A
i cant get the FO!!!!!!!!!!
Fireworks!
fl 4/7 -- **d is a conjunction
Congrats Merk!
Congrats, Merk!!
Jane, the fo is a plural
FL- dental hygine
One fo = what you do to your teeth with a string while cleaning, but take out the stick.
congrats, Merk!!!!
The other is a British dandy from old novels.
Hooray merk!
fa4/8 --- renters may live in **artments
so what is the gestapo clue? for FO? or FA?
fl 4/8 -- if it is a medical emergency, the doctor may have to **erate
But there is no fa. I just got fireworks without any 'fa' words.
there are no fa's
fo = the British dandies. The other is what you do to your teeth without the second letter taken out.
fo4/8 = fo + the three little *igs + the plural letter
gestapo is for the fo 4/7
Ka, I had no idea that the fo 4,7 had to do with the gestapo. I just thought of cleaning between my teeth with string and took the l out.
THANK YOU MOOCH!!
yw
I am finally done with the f's
the fo does not have anything to do with the gestapo; but another name for the gestapo is the same as the last two letters of the fo 4/7
okay lets talk e's
i have the eg 4/6
eg 4/6-- e + the abbr for 4 quarts
en 5/12 --- mosquitoes are pesky critters that are a real ***sance
thanks
bi6 & 7?
bi a piece on a chess board, then plural
bi 6---- sone like to spend the day ****ping at walmart

sh5/16 = s + a kind of swine and plural
ty annie! weird word! : /
*grabs sandwich away and evan and runs away*
sh6/21 plural of sh5/12
ty wren!
Gotta scoot. Many things to do. Bye for now
Bye Mom
*tackles annie and steals sammich back*
sh6/21, you take your children there every day, minus the second consonant
bye mom
no stealing food from sick people!!
That sandwich sounds good!
*gives the sandwich back to evan...stealing from the sick is a no-no*
tastes good too mooch!
evan, when you are better, watch out!!!!
*offers annie some of her soup -- with a clean spoon*
thank you, evan, I love soup
broccoli cheddar!

Not really Stid - however we celebrate Xmas in a similar manner - I don't think the US make such a big deal of it

my husband is in the navy, and I fail miserably at his career words
bo = sounds like male child
short for boatswain
sorry should be +
it isn't a naval term, if it is for a merchant ship
hiya,, back to de puzzle
the definition says petty officer on merchant ship. My hubbie is a petty officer, in the navy
by the time he left, we had loaded two German units (huge), a large table,4 RAF ( now ours) chest of draws, and 6 chairs. our room still looks full. i have craft stuff all over the floor now and no where to store them at the moment
but found it!
sounds like quite the mess scatty!
apr, a merchant ship is part of the merchant navy
purple, I never knew that!

scatty, do you do artist trading cards?
what are artist trading cards, April?
(giving myself ten more minutes and then I WILL go sort through that box...)
stid, they are original works of art done on cards the size of basebal cards, about, and you usually do more than one, like a series, to trade other artists, and collect art that way. there are 'rules'
that sounds neat! (thinking about what I would do for something like that)
fireworks at last!
YAY Duval!
yay Duval!
yayyyy Duval
perhaps we could do a set between us Stid?!!
stid, you use paper, objects, paint, pens, whatever. But it has to fit in that size. Lots of people use cut outs from magazines. People collect paper just for it.
am i the only one who hasn;t completed the grid????
That would be fun -- maybe set up a Babbler trade group?

chj -- new box in hand, old box being swapped out?
i havent decided yet what to do with the old ones
not courses scatty, cards. they are original works of art done on cards the size of basebal cards, about, and you usually do more than one, like a series, to trade other artists, and collect art that way. there are 'rules'
Deeha -- see you later?

she is not so scary when you see the whole pic is she dawg ?
they had them all over their garden Faerie, along with heads and various neato objects
I don't have 'tv' so we rent dvd's from netflix
Excellent sounds like a garden I would enjoy visiting :)
nope owl, can't manage to always stay up for it.
faaerie - she is scary.
well, yes she is still scary! i think it's the glowing eyes! but at least she doesn't look like she's on fire!
sexy, not scary
thats better April :)
sexy is never ever scary. IMHO
faerie are you turning into a vamp? *wink wink*
TO she is not scary *stomping feet in protest*
well i don't think much of ABC's programming - no new episodes until february
faerie, she IS scary
what is she faerie?
ummmm a vamp nope
she is a red faerie saying shhhs
she looks hot
ahhh, now i get it. 'k i'm a bit slow on the pick up here! lol
I guess I'll have to invite everyone to view my MSN spaces sometime so you can really check out some hot faeries
not a vamp...an IMP
NUT she IS NOT Scary *she is SEXY* just ask April
yep IMP is more like it hahaha
faerie, one of my emails is on my profile, but I do msn too. give me an email invite, I would like to see that.
i generally tend to apply the word sexy to the opposite sex.
sexy, yep
I apply it to where it is applicable, male or female or both or not both
me too nut
oh April I will
i'm glad i didn't say trollop! *eek*
ok I'm not gay/lesbian but there are sexy faeries
faerie, i hope you know i'm just teasing you.
Dawg - I'll show ya sexy if your not careful and then I'll get booted out of babble for sure LOL
the fact is beauty and sexuality can be seen anywhere, whether or not you want to lay with someone.
and trollop would be applicable....
anyone watching american music awards?
(i love that word)
i've no problem ascribing the word beautiful to women.
at least you didn't call her a skank
and i think women can be sexy just as men. i just don't normally use sexy as an adjective for women.
nope TO I dont have the TV on just the stereo
lol Faerie. *runs to look up skank*
skank, that would be me.
trollop too
ok bye cluers, happy babbling.

Hi Harp
it's been a long day
I (am not a teacher) but come from a long line of teachers. It is challenging, at best in this day and age.
longs days
And then some....
but you get summers off! lol
yah, yah. tell that to my family, and wait for the venom...
i can say that cuz i'm from a family of eductors too. myself and hubby included
I wish there was an "I get ya'" emoticon. trust me...
:-)
actually i teach at a year round school
a much needed break every nine weeks
so you get alternate time off...right? I teach at the community college as well as do counseling there. it's a 12 month contract and it's a burn out job

Gotta keep practicing giving clues. it's good to get others clues too.
Interesting LuwandaHL. I have friends/relatives in Md Va, Penn, Ind. i wasn't aware of such a system.
Thanks for the encouragement. it's not a ploy, just a desire to spread out a bit.
sh 6/21and the 5/12 after it?
I like that all year round system. I know a lot of kids who would benefit from it. I think some European schools are run that way.
I first heard of in in Aurora CO. My school system has offered it for 10 years
we also offer traditional schedule. we are a large suburb system so we can offer both in elementary and middle school
what you might say to a pesky critter to move then add the hockey stick letter
I chose this schedule because I think it is extremely good for education - both students and teachers
i think a lot of kids would benefit from shorter sessions of learning all year round, verses trying to cram info into their heads in 180 straight days
we also offer 2 week remediation during fall and spring break for half of the day
I agree, in a general way. This is a much debated topic within my immediate family circle.
the kids still get the afternoons off and a week break at the end
My youngest started school this year, my eldest started Uni, I've seen the educational spectrum from bth sides, as a parent, and through educators eyes.
i wonder how much better the kids retain information? from the scores i see at the cc, it's rather scary. so many can't read or write and we wont talk about numbers!
*both
I have worked both schedules and I find that the students seeem to retain better
hi all. back fora few: daisy if you are there, my IM client died...
we talk work with data constantly
Forgive the naiveté but the US relies on SAT's doesn't it?
harp, holler if you need help.
i know between quarters and semesters, quarters seem to work better for students. so i can imagine it would work well with kidlets
without talk
SATs are still used in the US, but they're becoming less important.
ETS scores are highly inflated.
no Lori, different colleges use different measures for admissions. Some use ACT instead, and all take grades and outside activities into account as well
hello professor! ready for the kid yet? just informed him he is ON HIS OWN when it comes to all school work. We'll see if he does better or worse...
The SAT people didn't like the falling scores, so they started curving the grades. The result: colleges use the SAT less.
an7/36??
I have the bumper sticker taped to the side of my car, btw...

does anyone who understands alcohol know what the difference is between whiskey, bourbon and scotch? or are the generally the same item?
k
does anyone have any suggestions in that regard
brb
later Jill :-)
they all come from different grains, stid
bourbon and scotch are types of whiskey i believe
yes
but scotch is better ;-)
whether you like bourbon or scotch depends on your taste
scotch tastes like Ivory Soap, gaa
LOL All I know is they're hard liquor and they are way different from rum.
hey renfield did you finish the grid
Good morning, all. What is the difference between Scotch, Irish, Rye and Bourbon Whiskies? Scotch Whisky is whisky which has been distilled and matured in Scotland. Irish Whiskey means whiskey distilled and matured in Ireland. Whisky is distilled in Scotland from malted barley in Pot Stills and from malted and unmalted barley or other cereals in Patent Stills. The well-known brands of Scotch Whisky are blends of a number of Pot Still and Patent Still whiskies. Irish Whiskey distillers tend to favour three distillations rather than two, as is general in Scotland in the case of Pot Still whiskies, and the range of cereals used is wider. As regards Bourbon Whiskey, the United States Regulations provide: (i) that Bourbon Whiskey must be produced from a mash of not less than 51% corn grain; (ii) that the word ‘Bourbon’ shall not be used to describe any whiskey or whiskey-based distilled spirits not produced in the United States. Rye Whiskey is produced both in the United States and Canada but the name has no geographical significance. In the United States, Rye Whiskey by definition must be produced from a grain mash of which not less than 51% is rye grain. In Canada, there is no similar restriction. The relevant Canadian Regulation states: ‘Canadian Whisky (Canadian Rye Whisky, Rye Whisky) shall be whisky distilled in Canada, and shall possess the aroma, taste and character generally attributed to Canadian Whisky.’ Canadian Whisky is in fact often referred to simply as Rye Whisky or Rye.
hi jac!
i was just going to find something like that to post
Does that answer the question? LOL.
thanks Jacula! :-)
Hi Fran.
what about sour mash?
rum is distilled from cane syrup.
i did finish chj
what about sweet and sour mashed potatoes
see? all from differnt grains
yay rennie!
yahoooooooooooooooooooren
YAY ren!
oh wait, that wasn't enthusiastic enough.
What are spirits? The term spirits describes the product of distillation, whatever the raw materials, or whether it be in a pure state or contaminated by impurities normally present in any distillate. Generally, the word refers to any volatile inflammable liquid obtained by distillation. Spirits for human consumption, or potable spirits, are the distillates of alcoholic liquids, the alcohol in which has been formed by the fermentation of sugar as contained in grapejuice, sugar cane, etc., or in saccharified materials such as specially prepared cereals, e.g. malted barley.
ethanol is a corn grain...your auto drinks it
whats the difference bewtween an egg cream and a cream soda
yay!!!!!!!!!! rennie!!!!!!!!!!! woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!
I think Jacula answered it completely
Well done, Ren!
tee hee thanks fran!!!!!!

spirits are also known as ghosts, souls, ghouls, poltergeists, and are known to take delight in popping up unexpectedly... LOL
and vodka....some is made from potatoes...
LOL, stid. I did think about signing is as 'Can't Sleep!' but I didn't want to deceive you all.
Poteen - lethal Irish hooch (made from potatoes).
we are going to watch "Rocky and Bullwinkle" now, so if I am distracted, you'll know why
I said I was leaving for a bit but I guess I lied
Jilli - the answers came courtesy of The Scotch Whisky Association.
jac, we may have figured out it was you after a few minutes anyway.
watch out for the WayBack machine stid
Jill -- go grab a sand wich or something and then come chat some more. or a hand full of almonds with chocolate sauce and icecream!
excellent, jac -- what source of useful information is Babbleania

handful of tamari almonds -- ok...brb
hello everyone! sorry power went out earlier!
hey reese's
hi fran!
Hello Reese's.
hey Reese's -- not you too! It's been happening all over the last few days.

Ren - I now know what to buy you for Christmas.:)
o wow it's tuesday night here, weird to think about!
wow that brings back memories jac
oh man
chj - What the Sooty eggcup?
i probably havent had a softboiled egg in 40 years
and i remember those egg cups
chj - Why not?
who knows
you wake up one day and you havent had softboiled eggs for 40 years
If you can get hold of real free-range eggs they are gorgeous. None of that battery stuff though.
LOL, chj.
who knows where the time goes

I've decided that the conversation is much more fumn :)

hahahah emc - we can help you
into the future chj???
but you've already been enducted as a babbler! LOL
oooo 35 to go!
i heard who knows where the time goes on the radio today
perhaps it goes into outer space
Incidentally, speaking of eggs, I read today that there's now and EU (European Union aka Interference In UK Affairs from Brussels) that all eggs, free-range or otherwise, have to be stamped with the date & time laid & the identity of the hen who laid it. If that's not ridiculous, I don't know what is!
I'm listening to Akon right now!
go go reese;s
or into the black hole in the center of the milky way
typical bureaucracy, Jac!
or maybe it goes to the past, der! j/k LOL
I don't know if I ever had soft-boiled eggs... but I found a couple pretty egg cups...
uh...then i ate time today casue i ate a biggie milkyway....
was there a black hole in it ren?
was it stellar?
hope it wasn;t mold!!!!! LOL
j/k
i didn;t mean to eat a biggie milkyway...i didn;t mean to eat any chocolate at all...it was in my hand and gone before i could cry out for help
Where does time go? A question that becomes more urgent, the older you get.:( Come to think of it, where does time come from? And who's to say what time is anyway?
Big questions of life! LOL.
yep!
i blame the evildoer that put it in your hand ren
then i heard a bunch of tick tock tick tock and now i know why! it was time slipping down to my tum tum
ren - *pats ren's head*, never mind dear. We understand.
back again with tamari almonds, tonic instead of vodka, and joy that I have fresh free-range eggs in my fridge, courtesy of a lady I work with at the library who has several free-range (including her kitchen) chickens named Vanessa because she can't tell them apart, although there's one called Buttercup for some reason
you shoulda hit the snooze alarm ren
LOL Jill!
Ah! Peabody's Improbable History.... *sits up and watches intently*
i have to admit, i rode my bike to the store and got my co-hort in crime at the office a snickers...and right next to it was the milky way...i blame my nike
jilli - I hope the eggs were stamped with the identity of the layer and the time and date! LOL. (See my earlier post re EU directive.)
oh what times are these when a woman cant walk the streets without fear of having a milkyway put in her hand
cool. It's the Marco Polo episode...
chj - LOL.
it's like playing tag with candy bars!
I thought it was a 'fun-sized Mars bar' that women were in danger from.
and the lady behind the counter said....the biggies are 2 for a $1.00.......it was an easy sale
how do I tell how well i'm doing?
Don't know if you had those bars in USA, but the males here in UK certainly got lots of innuendo out of the advertising for them.
hey everyone!
sure the old bait and reel em in technique
Hi Hell!
soft-boiled (4-minute if they're big like Vanessa's) eggs and "soldiers" or "dipper-inners" -- lovely. Those soldiers are pieces of hot buttered toast cut into strips so that youcan dip them into the decapitated eggs in an egg-cup.
we have Mars bars, but not sure about the innuedo bit...
i was baited......for real....
en,5,12 plz!

hm. sounds yummy, Jill!
oh well, we're off eggs and into candy, I guess
reese -- boredom
i like my milky way's frozen
en 5/12: means a sort of lazy, tired of life feeling: en + double the consonant, + two vowels
Hi everybody!
Just changed my icon (REFRESH) to make you all hungry.
I like hard-boiled eggs that are just cool enough to peel. a bit of salt and pepper and melted butter.... mmmmmm
must change my icon too -- brb
hi muse!

Hi Muse.

hi stid!
hey mymuse!!!

hey helen!!!
like an all day sucker
hi helen!
lol
Hell - it's 4.28 on Wednesday morning here in UK.
Still Tues evening in USA, though.
Hi Jac and Helen!
hello new chatters! ty all for the clue!
mymus - i love your new profile - ALL of it!! LOL
only 8:40 ish in the evening on the west coast...
yuppers chj....sideways
time is relative
it's 8:30 here, on tuesday!
lol thanks helen!
ah yes, jac - i always forget these kinds of things - damn, how much sleep/day do you get?
no wonder you have such a pretty smile
relatives are generally inconveniet, chj!
Hell - I'm up early. Might not stay up though.

ca 4/5: like what an angel wears over its head
UP EARLY ? ! ? ! ? i'll say!!!
Couldn't sleep, Hell.
hot flashes?
*Now seeing weird image of stidmama with her eyes on very long stalks 10 mins away from her.*
Hell - No. Partner away working. Bed cold & lonely.
like gary - spongebob's snail
*it's all that space chocolate we were eating earlier, Jacula, must have been something to do with all the cosmic rays....*
That'll be it, stid.
does gary have a pretty smile?
Oh, ren, don't talk about Spongebob or I'll start thinking about that episode where he had his head shaved down to his brain for a Hallowe'en prank.
you'll never be lonely in babbleania
yuk. icky imagery, Jac
there's a spongbob movie coming out
oh that is totally gross mistress!
stid - Yes, exactly! And it's a kids' programme... supposedly.
so he would the right shaped ghost
jilli - I know, that's why I came here.
sounds like the song from the mr rogers "opera" about bubbleland, "no, there's never never never any trouble here in Bubbleland!"
ren - Yes. Please don't remind me.:(
fireworks!
i carry bubbles and a bubble wand in my car to make people smile
YAY dr!
Well done, dr!
wtg dr9 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Now sees ren trying to explain to a traffic cop why she was blowing bubbles whilst driving.*

I do wish sometimes that I didn't have such a vivid imagination!
hahahha mistress.....didn;t think about that....
wow Reese! good going!
HA! jac!
go go reese!!!!!
ty stid!
I have 69 words, is that good or bad?
triathlete: an 6 and 7: "The initial clustering of embryonic cells from which a part or an organ develops; primordium"
Incidentally, Hunting Cat came home to bed tonight with no 'prizes'. As you may recall, if you were here at the time, he brought home a raw chicken breast last night, having obviously sneaked in through a window and nicked someone's defrosting dinner.:(
loaded question, haha
saffta, that's pretty good. is it your first time playing?
saffta - There are 138 words to find.
yes it is my first time, do we compete?
jacula - that's too funny - the originial cat burglar!
I am at the end of the long rope. Can anyone help with my last two words? bu 5/16 and bu4/7? My monkey died.
only if we want to, saffta! there are two resources most new folk appreciate: Angelsong's Resource Page and Lickety's Babble Clues, both have links at the bottom of this page.
bu 5/16 is plural
bu 4/7 is the roll with a double last letter
Scarlet - bu 4/7 & plural bu5/16 - Little rabbits?
*plays sad music for Scarlet's monkey*
stid - I can hear that violin!
I'm a refugee from tangleword does anyone play that?
Jacula, you really should have gotten more sleep! LOL
LOL, stid. Viviv imagination, as I said.
*vivid
saffia - i play tangleword!
I don't know that one, saffta...
saffta - I do play tangleword sometimes.
hi, all!
Stid, thanks for the simian dirge. Jac and stid, you saved my sorry tush once again. Love you guys! Fireworks!!
stid - you moved! ;)
hiya tea!
hi, hk
what and where is tangleword!?
fo4/7??
what does it mean when it says next to g 4/7?
I was trying to play WebBoggle just before I came in here but, as usual, the site was playing up. No wonder someone was signed in there under the name 'FIXTHEDAMNSERVER!'
iwin.com is where tangleword is
hi Tea! did I see something about tax preparation?
it's boggle on line
yayayayay scarlet!!!!!
o ok!
saffta, it means there is a word starting with G that has 4 letters and is worth 7 pts
YAY Scarlet!
you did! I am joining the work force again! I used to do taxes before kids and am taking the test to do them again next week, and then we're off!
fo4/7 - like the dental string without the 2nd letter.
thank you stidmama
yw saffta, ask any time you have questions.
thanks jacula!
does iwin.com cost anything?
Tea, I once considered doing that for extra money, but my last accounting courses were nearly 20 years ago now, and I am sure the laws have changed a lot since then.
saffta - If you go to the 'Help' section just above the chatlog, it will help you.
y/w,pupsmom.
'Nite all. Stid and Jacula, you two are among the great helpers in the history of my mind! Thanks, again.
H & R Block is a great way to go - the first class is $200, but after that, they are cheap and you learn a lot!
ok, here are my eggcups
no reeese = it's totally free & a lot of fun
good night Scarlet, sweet dreams! :-)
'Night, Scarlet. See you again.
o ok ty!
very pretty, Jill!
nite, scarlet!
So long, TeaN et al.
Not just pretty, stid -- read...
jilli - very clever eggcups, keeping the 2nd one warm and also catching the drips.
well it's certainly something to consider... I don't really want long-term employment out side the home, just a way to get a little ahead.
i don;t want employment inside the home
Oh heck! I must be getting tired again... I read stid's post as 'don't really want long-term enjoyment outside the home'.:(
oh! so you put another egg in the under side... very smart!
LOL Reese! _and_ Jac!
oh, jac -- your eggs and soldiers are making me drool
10 to go - going to finish sudoku now, brb
jac please make me a nice softboiled egg for breakfast
it is a great opportunity for part time seasonal employment and it really doesn't interfere with school schedules.
oh -- it was ren. my eyeballs are getting even tireder.
later helen!
I'll look into it...
and stid -- your eggcups are just beautiful!!!! (But Vanessa's eggs might be too big)
it was me
chj - I could, but it might be a bit rubbery by the time you get it in the post. I could try e-mailing it, but it might gum my computer up.
i admit it - my hand does not fit a swiffer nor a toilet brush, and i don;t know nothing about loading a dishwasher
I don't actually have any eggcups, but all this talk of soft-boiled eggs makes me think maybe it would be fun.
ren - a proper pirate would have said, 'T'was I!' Aar, Jim lad.;)
i love to load the dishwasher
well didn't finish, but night everyone! leaving for oregon tomorrow, so i might be back! see ya"ll
chj -- do you like emptying the dishwasher?
I didn't say I did housework, ren.... at least no more than I must to stay healthy! LOL no, I pretend to be a gardener and artist.
but im one of those compulsive nuts who has to clean the plate before it goes into the dishwasher
Loading a dishwasher is easy, ren. In this house, I just pile everything up beside him when he's near the sink.
good night Reese, enjoy Oregon!
i do like to empty too
oh gosh...i'm an improper pirate who works outside the home...i've been branded
especially when the plates are still hot
hahhahah mistress...my kind of dishwasher
night Reese's!
Do not own, nor want ot own (unless I start catering on a grand scale) a dishwashing machine.
guess it depends on who's washing the dishes...
chj, warm plates or warm towels, clean and dry is nice!
sorry stid.....i have a green thumb...(i think it's from the jello) and i like to watch the yard dude work in the yard...
jilli - Well, you wouldn't have wanted my great grandmother or one of my aunts as your dishwasher - both were notorious for bashing stuff against taps and smashing itl
im also a compulsive cleaner when i cook
need last word ca4,5
please
ca 4/5: like what angels wear on their heads... ha**
i hate to have a lot of messy pots and pans after i finish cooking
Hence, not many Vicotrian & Edwardian pieces survived intact from my Great Granma's belongings after she died in her 90s. God Bless Her.
not that i cook a lot mind you
ty! fireworks
curbside works fine by me
yayayyya busyrae!!!!!
me too, chj, which makes me a sloow cooker...
may I please have a clue for the I inthe upper right corner?
hahah jilli! under pressure?
I am the same, chj -- usually wash in between cooking steps. Tom prefers to stack things up in a BIG pile and then let it sit until midnight...
YAY Busy!
my dear old 87 year old mother is going over to my sister's house tomorrow to make the stuffing for the turkey
hotel ztink
chj - Then stick to what my Domestic Science (Scottish) teacher always told us in her Miss Jean Brodie voice, 'Wash up as you go along, gels!' I've been to quite a few school reunions now and everyone I've spoken to still hears her advice ringing in their ears, and obeys, as they cook. Me included.
or, ztink, opposite of ouTTs... LOL
thanks Renfield.
zTink -- places where you stay overnight, like Holiday In***
hey any thanksgiving orphans out there are welcome to come over for some turkey dinner
and plenty of pumpkin pie
*Now singing Queen's 'Under Pressure'*
i'm gonna work on my artist trading cards - cause i'm one of those orfinks
queen/david bowie
we're having apple crisp instead of pumpkin pie. Only another 25 pounds of apples to use up!
be right there, chj -- we already had our Thanksgiving...
orfink for a day
okay ren! I am going to work on mine some tomorrow... think it'll be loads of fun!
i just ione a can of pumpkin and spice it up and eat it out of the can
now youll know how i felt all those years ren
oh ren, you are SUCH a domestic GODDESS! LOL
should I bring some of Vanessa's eggs for the next day's breakfast?
i'm sending you my info stid
hahahahah stid!!!!
:-) I'll look for it, ren!
yes please, Jill -- I love home-growed eggs!
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in UK. We do have a Harvest Festival September/October when the Harvest Moon occurs. No feasting though.
okay - back for these last 10
well, Jacula, you can be an honorary member of our family, and eat all the Turkey and stuffing and pie and fancy salads and rolls and ... then you can wake up the next two weeks to leftovers...
wow helen, you are speedy!
Right, Hell. *sits to attention* If you need a clue, just yell.
stid - it was an easy one - took me too long as it was, 10 minutes!
all this food talk is making me really hungry for a proper supper, and chj isn't responding to my offer so I'm gone for a bit -- bfn
no thanksgiving? i think that's my all time favorite meal - well, among alot of other things, but turkey stuffing, cranberries yum
stid - That is very kind of you but I think I'll save myself for Christmas. Can't afford not to be at my best to brave the heaving hordes whilst Christmas shopping.
sorry jilli yes plaease bring some of vanessa's eggs
Every year, the little market town I shop in weekly is invaded by crowds of strangers who block everything up.
Where do they shop the rest of the year? Why do they invade us a month before Christmas? Another of life's mysteries!
ge6/27??
pupsmon - a very brainy or clever person is a ge6/27.
you dont have to be a ge**** to get the ge6
okay, I am heading out for a while. may or may not be back tonight. Hope you all have a lovely evening/day!
My kitty cat is in some of the words tonight :-)
See you, stid. xx
bye stid :)
