Flip
Running in to say hi, now back to work. *poof*
Have to pity the maid, catching it from all sides... *sigh*
Hi, Big, Bye, Big. Hi, dr93
going to get tomorrow's theme although I won't have much time to play -- lots more Xmas cards to do
let me get this straight... they must be making up for the serious lack of R's in the puzzle recently... right?
rrright
hi all... unfortunately I can't stay long... only for a few words... My pillow needs a friend soon
be7
hi, all. DRBERN, i loved that novel!
sprrrrentttle is not a word

Hello, Pappa, Ursh, Debb!
The hamster potty makes hamster-keeping much more pleasant than otherwise.
ch8
ch7
OMG, DrB!!! Alll these 7s and 8s!!!
I haven't been playing long enough to see a 10. Maybe by new years
Ankh -- I had a couple of hamsters decades ago and there were no potties -- just cedar flakes or something
that is so funny ank!!
hi, i'm back from icon-mart. i hope Nutcracker is a theme pretty soon - I played 500+ of them.
hi everyone
hi melon!
hi melon, saph
Well, Jilli, they have learned that the cedar bedding actually hurts their feet and noses! I loved the smell of fresh cedar... but the oils in it were too harsh for hammy feet, etc.
Glad you like it, Melon. :)
be7
all right... good night all!
see you on the flip side!
ank -- you don't want to hear about our hamster disasters

Ah, yes. My nose got in the way of seeing it.
i don't like this grid {grrrrr}
Clues for those who need it are available.
There looks to be a lot of double crosses. The -er suffix that we missed on Wednesday's.
Changed clothes... I'm sorry the hamster toidy didn't get more of a workout, but today is Dear One's birthday, and they are my pearl!! :)
Thank you, thank you Lickety!!!!!!!!!!
Hello, Lickety, thank you!
thanks thanks thanks sweet lickety
tx lickety - i sure do need help.
ty, lickety
fr7 & 8
en 8 & 9
Lickety, you too are a pearl among men!
hi everyone
Doc, don't you think the en8 should past-tense also? But it doesn't!
Evenin', Metal!
well, if we could just go outside the grid, sure!

my real name's in the grid
Really, Metal?

late flip - hi, everyone
hi Tea
hi TnC
it's my first time...
hi mymuse; hi jilli
Hi, tea
I'm back, with a proper icon for the theme
welcome dyke
Hi miranda - holy cow, i got a 7 all by myself!
way to go TNC
and, welcome to the grid dyke
hey, you take what you can get, right?
:)
Ah, Metal. That's right.
Hey, Dyke, welcome! :)
ne 7 x 2
hi, metal - a proper icon indeed.
It's amazing the things you find on Google images... I'd never heard of this particular plane before.
good evening, everyone
hi nan
hi, hey how do I get an icon?
metal -- good icon for Dec 7 -- not he "pearl" theme, though!
dyke -- you have to "go pro" -- i.e, cough up the one-time fee of $14.95
Hi there, to get an icon, you have to join. Did you join do that yet?
I thought it was the theme.... Day of Infamy.... Pearl Harbor Day, or for those not remembering that day.... Pearls in general
OK, i need one 7 to attin mediocrity - the te7 - i am fully ready to slap head.
I signed up, is there more to joining than that?
i have that one, missing two others
dyke -- see what I said at 12:47
It's worth it! There are advantages. Yes, more than signing up. You have to pay on a credit card a one time fee for life of $14.95.
Oh, yes. Thanks everyone. I get paid next week...
You get tile stats and word stats too
metal -- Babbler's icon list doesn't give the day of infamy, just pearls, I remember it well, though -- it resulted in my father's being interned in Hong Kong
ok, now dressed for the occasion
beautifu, muse!
nods, I thought I remembered someone saying something about it a few days ago. I could very well be mistaken though.
*beautiful
ty jilli
Metal, I was the one who asked for pearls today, because of Pearl Harbor, but I asked unspecifically because of all the non-U.S.A. players; so pearls, or Pearl Harbor -- that's why December 7.
one more 7 to go
Oh, Muse, CUTE! Hey, Dyke, when we "change clothes" or "change icons," you sometimes have to hit reload to see the new pic. I just changed *again* and Muse just changed.
hello everyone!
go drb!
Reload, refresh, whatever. Hi, MrP!
lol very cute Ank!!
hi mrp!
Heheheheh.
got it!
oh, ankh - she is so cute!
*blushes* Thank you! :)
Ankh, is your hammie's name Pearl?
DRBERN which 7 are you missing? i'm missing te7
good morning babblers nice big grid today
hi all
hi blom and mva
No, Jilli -- I was going to name Dog Two Pearl if she had stayed with us -- Minerva Pearl (U.S. joke, I'm afraid) -- but she got adopted.
i've got them all now. Think of the one your are looking for as the one that well end your search without a note that follows re
blombol -- you ain't seen a big grid like 398!!! -- ???
ah--got the e8/9, too
I've managed a hamster in my icon every day except for Prostate Cancer Awareness day last week. Hey, Dyke, you don't HAVE to do the themes, some of us just like to .
no i have only been doing the babble thing for about a week now
huh? i'm old & tired Dr B
Ankh -- I've heard of Minnie Pearl -- and a hat with a price tag -???
Yes!! You know it! :)
too cute huh? okay. It is a bird and a usually suffix
Dog one was Sophie Marie. She left us the hard way 10/2005; D2 was with us for two weeks early in November this year. :( But D2 is in a FABULOUS home with rich people, and a baby sister, and two human brothers.
Does anyone understand DRBERNABO's clue? i'm stumped.
you all have quite a community here.
no, I don't--trying, tho
ah, seagull devoured.
Melon, sing "Doe, a deer, a female deer..." I think the clue is in the song.
congratulations are in order --- I finally remembered the volcano! ;)
I've been playing weboggle for months and a friend just told me about this site today...
it's a nice place dyke-alicious
Think of what Ah-nold did in three movies and drop a note that follows re
melon sounds like the movie Arnold was in without the mi in it
Yeah, Dyke, a bunch of insomniacs (all over the world) combined with a bunch of bright-eyes (all over the world)
Arnold the CA governor that is
see? it wasn't too cute...
I've seen Ah-noldt nekkid, and will reserve opinion re cuteness thereof.
oh--got it with the arnold clue--thx
lol
nite, all -have to wake hubby up for work and go to bed. see you tomorrow!
Gnite, T&C!!!
nite tNc
nite Tea
DRBERNABO, that was a really good cryptic clue - i kept thinking "fa' instead of one note lower - veddy, veddy clever {tips hat}
nite tnc
nite, tea--I'm gone, too--papers to look at and way too late
OK, mediocrity prevails - I'm quitting at 95 with all 7+ - clues anyone?
Oooh, MrP, that's right, you two live in another Pearl Harbo(u)r!! Nice icon!
that's how my mind works. if it was easy it would not be fun..
thanks Ank!
do you do cryptic crosswords? they'd be perfect for you.
have a c 8 and an f 8 -- did someone say e 8?
thought I had Drb's clue but "not found in the dictionary"
I have two of the 8's and need a third -- I have a c, and an e. Clue me, Melon? :)
love your hampster! very cute!
I am stuck at only 40 words, I think I'm gonna log onto weboggle for a while, ta
Ta, Dyke, do come back. :)
e8 relates to an fe6
nan -- thanks for the volcano reminder
Also, before you go, click on the link below the grid for Lickety's CLues. Thank you, MrP!
bye, dyke-a
come back, dyke -- there are more tricks here, like Lickety's list...
Goodnight, Miranda!
what is lickety's list?
laila tov, everyone. {poof}
Hey, MVA, I asked Dr God about your Wales flag and he said he check the database and you should have one without a problem. Gnnite, Melon!
bye melon!
Dyke, it's a list of clues, hang on, I'll get you the URL
thanks, melon
Here, Dyke: http://licketysplitaus.googlepag es.com/babbleclues
good night, melon -- see you tomorrow
laila tov, nice!
Yeah, we also have at least one Israeli player every day.
oh pity me the RE's!!
can someone list the 7's please?
ah, got DrB's clue -- had added an extra le6/18
Naaaaan.... f8??
ok, thanks for all the tips, I'm sure I'll be back...
Good! It's easy to settle in, we're not a clique.
So do come back... fresssshhh blooooood....
hi guys, hope you are all well. Whats today theme?
BE, CH, DE, FE, FE, FR, HE, LE, NE, NE, PE, PE, ST, TE

hi sapphie -- pearls, in memory of Pearl Harbor, Dec 7, 1941

I'm going to change icons a wee bit one more time, and then I'm going too... can't see anything, 75 words done and the rest in hiding.
I need to wake up more. I have been looking for words from the bottom right C for the last 10 minutes and only now I see it is grayed out. Perhaps breakfast first?
i'm off now too, happy babbling people!
Yeah, some calories for you.

dance with me he***
i had no idea it would be valid and only tried it from desperation
Desperation works in Babble
lol apparently, tho on that theory i would finish more often
You have no idea what I have typed in tonite.
I'm with you Angb...I make em up as I go and get lucky now and then
with 33 left i am rapidly getting that way too
Tonite I have typed in words - found that they are in the grid and then spend the next 5 mins trying to find where! LOL
There's a method to the madness!
lol ang
I thought madness was the definition for Babble!
Tis'
It's getting very slow. 36 to go here.
any clues on the y words?
dorky - and y** you still play Babble even when you know it is addictive. But double the consonent on the end
awesome ang, thanks heaps
And the 5 is the plural
yw
Hi all - and the other Y4 is spelt like 'he h*** her hand'
There is a y4/7 that sounds like someone shouted at you.

yeh lynx i got 7 out of it...
Who would be so neferious to hide words in the grid; or to flummox with randomness? Name this vile person?

wtg faerie!
learning non-threating self defense today
Whoa.... don't mess with Faerie! :D I almost just now typed in a 'phantom' word to share on the chat log, but then realized it wasn't a phantom at all!
does anyone have the et 6/18 and el 5/12
Always a good idea not to threaten yourself
which means I can't hit - bite - stomp feet - or any of that
Babble I'm a threat to myself every time I set my feet on the ground lol
et6/18 --- Rome is the et***** city, but take off the last letter and change the last vowel from first to second
et 6/18 == forever poetically
LOL Faerie! So what can you do to defend if you can't stomp or bite or kick?
and the el 5/12
el 5, I am the elder child. My bro is younger than me
I don't know Ch???? That's what they are teaching today and I hope I learn that as quickly as I did the other :D
duh, it's too early
but a good clue
gee thanks, bichon :) Well, share it with us once you learn -- I'm curious now.
ch ?
well I better get my tush out of this chair and into my car so good luck to all and I'll be back to finish tonight (*^_^*)

yw, kateq
oh ignore me I obviously can't count today lol
Well, I'm off. Happy babbling!
any clues for the 9 letter word
bye amanda
cape it's the plural of the en+fe6 word clued below
en 9/72 -- plural of the 8/55 to place in chanins
(to put in chains)
*chains
en 8 == ***ch the stick, Fido and ***ms of endearment, the movie
thanks kate and inge
morning everyone, can some clue the de 6/21 have the 6 -7 combo one need the first one
de 6/21 = to edit out or remove
ah so easy, lol, thanks kate
yw
yes, tx Kate. I need the 3r Y word. I have the two with double consonants
*3rd
y34/7 == add **der statemen
y 5 = plural of ye 4/6
tx Rabble; thought i had tried that one
ty all for the Y clues
I don't understand the Y 7/34
he meant ye4/7
ye 4/7?
ah ty
ye 4/7 = scots word sterile or barren (of a cow) not giving milk, from being in calf or from age
more than anyone wanted to know LOL
thank you for that Kate. I'll try to use it conversation today!
reache cowopause
lol babble
most excellent Rabble!

mornin babblers!
hi evan
Good morning, evanadine
hi eva
hi evanadine -- I'm just here for a few secs until my beloved is finished in the bathroom -- then I have to get ready for work
cant stay long today, im afraid...i have a meeting starting in just over an hour thats scheduled to last 6 hours. *UGH*
wow that sounds like a fun way to spend the day...
Good Grief....6 hour meeting can't be productive, can it?
You must be VERY important to have meetings that last that long
sadly, the poor web designers had to sit in on 6-hour meeting #1 yesterday...i was lucky enough to only have to attend #2
what is your job evan?
i work on a Web Operations team... i work with the Web Designers to QA the sites that they develop
a 6 hour meeting about web design and qa doesn't sound fun at all, poor you
yeah, im really not looking forward to it!
a 6 minute meeting on that topic doesn't sound fun never mind 6 hours
take lots of snacks lol
and babble of a laptop!
first en5/10 anyone?
EN + consumed
en + who *** all the pies
SP6? please
st 6/18 == a look and a vowel
ty
sp + money paid to landlord
BabbleRabble, ty but I don't get it
kthdsn, TY
ty Kthdsn... strange wordy there
ooh, that reminds me -- i need to go get breakfast and tea!
et6?
kind of like forver
poetic forever
ok earlier I couldn't count, now I can't spell!
adversity builds character
what do you mean babble?
to overcome adversity enhances your life
what adversity, me not being able to count or spell?
in a general sense
I just don't get why you said it that's all
so long as there is limit to the adversity babblerabble
I only have 1 left and it's a 4 letter word! AAAAARGH
then ignore it
sorry...
le5/16?
adversity of rht four letter word???
oh no gramma what does it begin with
I can't ignore it I MUST finish
N
N
there us an old saying that is something does not kill you ist makes you stronger
i bet it's old for a reason....someone probably jumped the guy for saying that at the wrong time...however i acknowledge that adversity is a good thing.
I know the saying, I don't understand the context, how does it relate to babble
here's a very interesting piece of information, did anyone know that the usa has NOT declared war?
le 5/16 == not rights
oh good grief...duh! thanks...
the may not have declared it but they are still participating
just something pointed out to me, didn't realize it.
pe7 anyone?
war was not declared in viet nam either
someone still decided to fight, whether they said the phrase "I declare war" or not is surely irrelevant?
shmooz- sold, as in a marketplace
that is interesting as well
Finally!
pe 7/36 === past tense of go pe**** your papers
he 5/16 anyone?
and not declareing war in the US is not irrelevant since only Congress can declare war under the US constitution
Grace- king with many wives
so the war in viet nam was called a peace action despite 55000+ deaths
it was relevant to something i was doing at the time which is why it was brought to my attention
I'm sure it's not irrelevant to all the people who are dying
I'm HE*** the eighth, I am. He*** the eighth I am I am
ah...proper name threw me... thx
oh crap that made no sense, I meant I'm sure it is irrelevant to the people who are dying
Thanks goodness for songs.
the US is in Iraq under a resolution
giving it a different label doesn't make it any better or any worse
abe, did he have many wives or did she have many husbands?
know what you mean kthdsn...
still having trouble with the pe7....pe**** your papers?
Good Morning, everyone. I am finally back home and have the internet. I lost two days of babbling and it was a struggle to get the other ones done "on the road".
the people that died are done caring
who?
that's why I said the people who are dying
Enough of the political chat you guys. It's bound to upset and or offend and it doesn't belong on a fun game sight.
and i don't quit caring when i die
wb merk, how did your survive without babble for 2 whole days
Oh, and you are the head censor, gramma?
gramma I don't mean to upset or defend, but if someone puts forward an opinion I disagree with I am entitled to add my views as well surely?
babble, that's not nice
shmoozanne, pe7 a flower is pe...... change the spelling
oh crap I meant offend not defend, where did I leave my brain today
well, everyone have a great day. signing off now
I don't think anyone was really disagreeing
kthdsn, whatever you're having...can i have some?
oh...i see my error...i need the pe7/32, not the 7/36
kthdsn, of course you are. I'm just saying that this isn't the appropriate place for political debate.
Wow! The f words were a breeze today. Those double crossers are a big help.
as soon as I find out what it is I'll send you some nut
What bothers me is not having any guidelines and someone telling me stop
ok well I'm done, unless someone says anything else...
so i'll come back later kay guys
some of us find all of the infighting highly entertaining....so as far as i'm concerned, argue on!! ;o)
Thanks, kthdsn ;)
babble I think the only guideline here is not to bother other people, gramma and others don't want to hear politics so we should leave it off the board out of respect, not because there's a rule or guideline
Oh hogwash
gamma can ignore
lol it's ok to disagree but at least explain your point better than hogwash
why?
pe732 please
good afternoon everybody again:)
because unless you communicate your point, noone understands it
you and gramma are telling me what I can or cannot say based on YOUR opinions?
here's another plea for the pe7/32
hi jean welcome to the chaos lol
ignore it
can someone clue the an5s?
you can say anything you like, I'm simply telling you my opinion
you started this an not call it chaos
oh dear chaos is it lol
and said you would stop but go on
now you sound like a sulky toddler lol
and now you attack
how about we all agree to stop and just enjoy the game
woah I'm not attacking anyone
babble, is this your "sociopath" side we are seeing?
go ahead no one is stopping you
don't be mean.
an5 = an+ Tolkien tree person, an4 = an+ coffee or **a?, an5 = picnic pest + **sist the urge to argue ad inifinitum
BR is right. It was just a conversation. No need for censorship.
those are the 3 an words I have
anyone have pa7/32?
gramma was equally right, this is a game site for people to enjoy
thx Inge but I don't know "tree person"
go enjoy
not yet schmooze.
that's why there are no rules and guidelines, they would piss off one person or another
i think you mean pe shmooz
YOU are the one that cannot let it go
yes, i mean pe!!
kth...let it go, please?
Grace, then use 1st three le***** of en5
see, you just can't stop
There are st 5/10's, I'm looking for the 3rd one. Can anyone help please?
pe7/36 is past tense of pe5/21: sounds like part of a flower
here's a tip for those who don't like the chat conversations...you can make your window smaller by moving the arrow on the right side halfway to the left...then, you don't see the chat log at all! Ah, the beauty of choice...
kth -- you starting arguments again while i was gone?? ;)
apparently I was evan
thx Inge.
hello evandine:)
neddy, st5/10 someone who is strict may have a st*** demeanor
oh pants I changed my icon pic and it doesnt show very well lol
who is it jean?
who are those dudes, jean?
st5/10-- st + te4 used for camping
mornin jean -- who is the band in your icon?
well this is interesting whats all the choas about? And Good Morning to all
its a canadian band called Rush I absolutely adore there music:)
hi shorty
good morning shorty:)
we are fondly reliving our middle school days, and our fun with our siblings in the back seat of the car on a long trip.
Thanks guys, Fireworks!
LOL
congratulations neddy:)
nice neddy! got clues?
Congratulations, neddy
wd neddy
Erm, still fairly new Inge2 but will try with the clues you want.
eww lots of fe's +re's YUCK
ahh, im familiar (somewhat) with rush :)
the last 31 words are eluding me.
ok diving into grid!
why can't i get that pe7/32???? making me crazy..
yeah, I don't use the list neddy, so don't know what I need, lol
are you evandine, Ive seen them perform twice here in england and both times were amazing:)
I don't know if I've heard of rush or not, do they sing anything I'm likely to know?
they sang "roll the bones" right? (and a bunch of other songs whose titles i cant think of right now...)
try pe+double consonant+ stick+past tense ending
already have that one, need the 7/32
pe 7/32 == a writing instrument and a bu**** lighter for your cigarettes
ah, thank you babblerabble!
awesome Rabble, that's the pe I was missing.
yes thats right evan, saw the roll the bones tour, the only single they ever released was spirit of radio, kthdsn they are prog rock (hope i havent insulted them only way I can describe them lol)
begone dull Ps!
thanks Babble
babble can you reclue, I don't get the lighter part
oh nm I see it now
Try a writing instrument, what you get in the sun and a vowel
good clue neddy:)
Ty jean, it's my first one!
Thanks neddy!
first te6/18?
I only have 1, a person who pays re4
A number and a very small animal = te 6/18
re5/18 ?
ty...how about the te7?
re5/18 served a meal again
tx une, got it!
yw :-)
te 7/28 expands on the 2nd te 4/4
ne6/21?
I am missing an ne 4,4 ... either before or after the goose.
ne6/21 caught a fish
Grace, your ne 6 is past tense of the 4,4 before it.
ah...thought I had that thx!
but I need the ne 4,4 before the 4,4 & 6,21 combo
plural of what you catch fish in at sea
tidy merk
I have tidy, then the goose, then the one Grace has.
it repeats itself merk
The tidy repeats itself?
I don't understand.
oh fine tha'ts the goose
Merk, can help when catching fish
not seeing the te7....does it start with the complete word of 2nd te 4/4?
i must be missing that one too merk
tidy goose caught in a ne**. There is another ne 4,4 in there somewhere, either before or after the goose.
plural of what you catch fish in merk
there are 2 caught in ones, one is a double ending, one is a plural
just found it
Yes it does shmoo.
Duh!
oh wait, you mean the 4th te4/4....not the 2nd
I just have not had my coffee yet. Where's Tiny? I usually have a cup made for her, too. It is ready now.
Yes, sorry!
please help with et 6/18 to finish.........
I'm missing a 7, I have be, ch, de, 2fe, fr, he, le, 2ne, 2pe, te, what did I miss?
te 7/28 4th te 4/4 + I *** all my chips (sorry, hungry)
et6 forever
neddy, fancy not sharing them
et 6 starts out like lasting forever, but drop the final two letters and add a common vowel ending.
many tx kth and merk *****Fireworks****** for me!
kth You're missing an st7
thanks neddy
wd sugar
That's ok, I actually *** all my imaginary chips. Feel better? :)
anyone have the last st6?

Hi sugar babe, how are you?

te4/4 + who *** all the chips?
I can't wait that long, I start as early as I can!!!
I've got about half an hour to spare now, so Ithought I would spend it on babble.
te7 = seabird + past tense of lunch!
I've been busy lately. I am preparing for my daughter's visit. She arrives a week from Saturday! Can;t wait!
great, now one te4 and I'm done!

Just think how tanned she's gonna be, Biltong!
yes, I am really looking forward to it. The sad part is she will only be staying for two weeks. But we intend to make the most of it.
lol, sugar. I have warned her that I am milky white already!
Never mind, two weeks is enough to make a whole lot of new memories.........
quite right, sugar!
oh and congrats on your finish, sugar.
Will e-mail you after Xmas, things are a bit manic for both of us now, I think!
clue for en9 please
yes, it is a busy time. I look forward to receiving your mail, thank you!

LOL!
love your creativity hurshy!
:)
i also made up the word fwoopy, to describe the way a certain path in college fwooped down the hill
1%
velocious is different, though, because it is linguistically logical. shakespeare made up words, so i think we can all do it!
follow the great bard's precendent and whatnot
wtg tor!
what words did shakespeare make up....?
can anyone clue the 9 for me? :)
torgone, what's the matter with you? actually working?
Fraid so . .
en8 to put in chains
no, tor is reading your posts hursh1
oh i don't remember what words he made up, but he made up lots of them. and he sang "i'm just a word machine..."
Singing about that cat again?
i do sing about my cats an awful lot
yeah I know. I actually like made up words that say exactly what you mean - like symbology and squoze
hmmmmmm cat fetish
I'm in fine fe6/27 today . .
all words were made up at one point or another - so let those creative juices flow, everyone!
maybe handy to keep each other informed... so we all still know what everybody's talking about!
natch
chthonic - I wouldn't call it a fetish - call it admiration of a cute creature that is superior to mortals........
any clue on the very last ST 6?
the egyptians worshipped cats as gods - cats have never forgotten this
In its own tiny mind . .
lol!
st + fishing equip

BTW, hi all!!!
well done smooth! quick work there. Ty for the link swmbo, i'll have a looksee. Sparkly the en is to put in chains and the 9 is its plural. Till next time all!

thanks con!
cheers con!
thanks smooth! :)
yup
thanks for that site swmbo!
i love shakespeare. AND if you ever get a chance to see The Story of English, a six hour (I think) series that aired on PBS about 20 years ago, it is excellent, as is the companion book.
HI all : ) Have you heard of The Reduced Shakespeare Company???
I've seen them at a Renaissance Fair
hi Anj! No, tell me about it...
I've read that they do all his major plays in about 90 mins. Lol, must be worth seeing : )
hehe
their script is available
I have it somewhere. In a box.
3 inches of snow...how pretty!!!
Afternoon all...
DRB, can you get it off the good ol' Interfret?
Yes, i just cheked it out. A bit like Peter Schickele's description of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony as it would be done by baseball commentators, hilarious
link! link! please? ; ) Hey, London had a typhoon today : /
Yes, they sell it. But I don't think it is at their website, but someplace else.
Anj, WHAT? Hi, all.
I believe there is a video as well as the book.
london had a typhoon!
how?
...or do I mean a twister?? Sorry, brain is only functioning on back up... : s
thought it was a tornado?
london has typhoid? how awful.
did it anj, that would take into account the windy weather !!!
eve lol
Is that possible? How ignorant I am!! :-(
it's a twister! it's a twister!
Tornado, possible, but typhoon?
i really wish someone would make a new movie of the wizard of oz that is more faithful to the book
i think it was just a ickly windy,
Tornado sounds good. Typhoon is a breeze too far for these parts for now.
hey nutty buddy - you still there?
Okay, now I can get back to what's really important: this dagblasted puzzle!!
morning all! total for today?
It was a tornado Anj and good to see you :)
i sure is...--***CLIFFIEEEEE***---...

OH lovely metal thanks....
Snow is a scarce commodity in the EEC just now. A lot of the ski resorts are still green & pleasant lands. The skiers are well miffed.
well, I'm fine as far as weather goes, at least for now. if anyone wants the lovely rhythmic sounds of a pile driver... I can supply that thanks to the construction crew across the street.
the little 'black pearl' -my icon- is my newest addition. his name is peanut. he only weighs a pound!
I was going to mention piste but this is a family show after all XD
ommigosh cliff...peanut is awesome!!!
Oh, my bad... since I am the second-most cat-loving creature on the big blue marble
awwwwww
the dr 5, I'm over monkeyed out, please

thanks DrBer
person who re4s an apt

the 3rd te 6/18 you might miss
cliffopa - read your profile - big hats off to you from the other end of the world where thousands of unwanted animals are euthanised - should be a law to spay and neuter unless breeding licence
I can't get the principles one, principles as in head teachers or morals
is the person who i clued for k.e. the only te6/18 you have?
morals
the tr 4/7 is a Jewish word for pork tr+ an umpire
no I have 2 6/18s
thank you ursh-iguess you are at the other end of the world!
not principals :) never you fear, hurshy won't steer you wrong by spelling mistakes
did you get both spellings of the sea bird?
ok needed the other seabird
still not seeing principles
nut - you really should be a comedy writer. (better watch out - sounds like the felines are waiting to pounce on you)
dyed
Who did bichon???
like, one of the te5s of christianity is the trinity
lol, got that one... : )
i'm not too worried cliff, everything he learns he learns from cartoons
a doctrine
ok closed out the T at last lol
Hurshy - ??? I already have the rash and the beliefs; missing the first te6/18
i love "mr bad" - all babblers who enjoy animals should go to nut's cat's blog at tagworld.com/evanonut/ if you need a good laugh.
yes k.e. - that was the clue about a person who re4s an apartment
5 Rs to go, still 4s 5s and 6s
you can give someone sustenance again, and past tense
you can touch something again and past tense
mr bad is funny!
Oh, of course! thanks...
there's rh4/4
I needed the sustenance one, had the past of it though d'oh, 4 to go, 4s and 5s
re + homonym of adolescent
oh nvm that one then.
i can't see how mr bad's little feet can carry that big bulky body!
re 5/16 chop letter off past tense of touched again

Beyond cute... ethereal!
i am befuddled by quiddler today
and ironic considering we know that those things are anything but innocent
aw, they may be mischievous, but they mean well
I'm bequiddled by fuddler ..
The question is: what IS the quiddity? ;-)
seriously, what can i make from Qu, F, P, N, N, B, L, T
my little peanut was innocent until his big brother brady showed him how to get into trouble.
what's that word we've had here that has qu but then no vowels after that?
oh it's qursh, no good.
qursh
i'm not just befuddled, i'm flummoxed too
the money from Saudi Arabia (I think it's from S.A.)
but i haven't got RSH
try more words, or jockanddebs
i guess i'll have to do morewords, this is so odd, i have a list of words with no vowels and none of them work
brady is a baaaad influence then? no surprise
no luck in morewords either, golly
brady did not think we needed a kitten. he thought he was going to be the baby of the family forever.
ah well, i'm going to lunch, ttfn
stinker is 5 years old and still the baby

haha..that's pretty much spot on inge.
I liked Concordia and Moorhead, but was told winters and summers can be brutal. We actually survived quite well, visited some language camps, the source of the MIssissippi, etc.
now that i look through the list, i'd say less than 10. like 6 or so.
back in an hour or two... going to watch Torchwood
later Metal
yea. that area gets both extremes in weather. I'm positive God never intended people to live in that area. i still don't know how people were able to settle there without heaters and central air. it's mind boggling.
stid, you have me on pins and needles once again...time change, all alone, what next?
Didn't a lot of the early Europeans follow Native American practices and build their homes IN the earth? I think it makes more sense to have earth-sheltered housing in extreme climates...

ty, Mom, found it.
Work - well I'm still in training and learning how to take care of myself and learning lots of helpful techinques
you're welcome Biltong
Hi Faerie
I was reading this morning how you were learning different techniques.
Hiya Ren8 :
today we learned how to get out of someone pulling our hair or taking a knife/fork away from someone and stuff like that
the hair pulling would have come in handy when I was a kid LOL
lol - I am sure every child would have like to have known that one.
right now I'm very confident that I could subdue a man/woman if needed :)
that may come in quite handy, especially if you still have shopping to do for Christmas -- lol
hahahaha
luck for me I'm finished
that is a good thing.
wrapped too?
heck no are you kidding lol
lol
how about you Mom are you almost finished
no, I wasn't. I have wrapped 4, 2 for each of the boys. One each has their name on it and the other 2 don't have names on them. Just to torment them some
sparky, you were cluing the st 5/10 with a vowel added for the st7...which st 5/10, there are 4 of them?
I am about finished for the most part on shopping and no where near finished for wrapping
teehee you are really good
no one in this house plays anything straight. One year I put tags on the presents and numbered them. Then another year I put tags on with the wrong names and every couple of days I changed the tags.
Oh yes you are REALLY good hahaha
SPARKLEY, you were cluing the st 5/10 with a vowel added for the st7...which st 5/10, there are 4 of them?
We can tease them more now that they are grown.

I made my dad a double batch of spritz with the cookie press on Monday and he calls last night to say he is out of cookies
several st 5/10: one is hard metal, the next an anagram thereof, the vein insert, serious,
which one do, did you need, ren8?
dinner done, back to work
Mom, I wanted to make spritz, I dip the ends in chocolate and roll that in ground almonds.
I think it is the german star, I managed to get the 6 from
I have never made them that way before.
the german star also means serious or earnest in English, like she put on a st*** face to reprimand the children
time to do the dishes. Bye for now.

are we in language class??? Guten Nacht
One n too many, it should be Gute nacht!
pourquoi pas, Inge?
Nighters Jee
Nacht is a feminine noun, as opposed to der Tag and Der Morgen
so it's die Nacht?
Is that why the monarch of the night is the Queen of the Night???
right, and the adjective before it ends in e, if no article is used
that I dont know swmbp
15 to go
I have two minutes before my mom calls ...any hints for the nine?
yahoo...getting closer...
*o
Only kidding. I love the Magic Flute and especially the Queen of the Night
en+fe7.40 word Arlene
Hi Arlene!!!!
Hi Swmbo
hi shewho
penant is not a word??
good clue but I dont have the fe 7/40
and i'm gone...may be back in a half hour or so....
thanks for the nine lbdawger
fe7 is to chain up plural
en9 = en + the things you pluck off a chicken - h replaced by the crossed letter
Inge, my mother was fluent in German but I never learnt it, yet I had the unmitigated gall to translate articles from the Deutches Dogge Stammbuch into English. I got a German/English dictionary and translated it word for word on a lined legal sheet, 3 lines apart, then translated the English words into English sentences -- with the help of a grammar book. It was fun, and apparently made sense even to German speakers!
i think it is pennant
chain or shackles on the feet are the fe7.40
fe 7 is like the epistles you write , trade the f for an l
you are right swmbo...
en9 = en + the things you pluck off a chicken - h replaced by the crossed letter
hey Elbee, how are you tonight?
oops by clue puts an extra a in there--sorry
Good grief! Jilli! I translated some stuff for a boo about Giant Schnauzers from DDR records
*book
Inge--thought it was a scary book!
I hope your stuff wasn't that intricate as what I was given to trasnlate
A boo book, hehe
i'm fine Swmbo. diggin' around by xmas stuff looking for a particular ribbon. i know i have it here somewhere!
It was pretty intricate but I was a Gt Dane breeder so it made sense to me. I used it for a series of articles in a Dane magazine and then put it all together in a book which has been quite well received world wide.
Got to go. Enjoyed the company and happy babbling to all of you. *poof*
farewell, Inge!

TheFiz -- thx for the 6/18 -- how bout the 3rd 5/10

yayyy pbr
anyone here from missouri?
thx -- I had been doing real good and then got busy. Hopefully I can keep up again.
not i said the fiz...
I used to live in illinois, just out of st. louis, rosewood
long time ago lived in st. louis and did some time in kansas city, but not now
signing off for now -- catch you on the flip -- be safe all
night pbr!
fiz - i dont understand the clue. that word has like 9 letters. im looking for a 6 letter word
vshu - st +re4. six letters. do you have an re4/4?
or tr4 that grows in the woods?
yes i have an r4/4 - its how one pays for an apartment
heya jili!
ok. this is another one. do you get the snakey fish part?
stick an R on the beginning for an re4/4 that's a part of fishing tackle.
yes
now - st+re4/4 gives you that last st6
re4/4 already begins with an r
strent is not a word
vshu: you need to add ST before a 4 letter re word that is worth 4 points. it's a common word. why don't you look for the four letter re words first?there are 8 of them
a different re4/4 vshu. this one is r+snakey fish.
but once you get it, start it off with an st and you'll have it.
*yawning* i'm running out of gas - any last clues?
fizzie: pe7/32 please?
y
5-sided gas? pe4/5+gas ending (meth***)
MWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! ty

i am tackling the rest of the re and then it should be smooth sailing!
*telepathically sending all REs TO's way....*
*taking off the tinfoil hat just long enough to receive fiz' good vibrations*
having conquered the re's (finally) I'm not finding the rest any easier -- my sympathies, TO
