sprite - you're right - a menorah - described in exodus has 7 lights. the hanukah (let's not even get started on spelling ;)) menorah is more properly called a hanukiah - or chanukiah - it has 8 candles, one for each day, plus a 9th that holds the "shamash" - the candelt that lights the rest of them - an oil chanukiah will have 8 wells for oil & wicks plus one candle holder.

Metal I have a sis that works swing-shift I can't even imagine it has to really take a toll on your body
ibuprofene and ice... I guess I will need to see the dentist, I am just terrified if them!
I start 2nd shift tomorrow 2:45 to 10:45 but that is going to be my regular schedule so I'm alright with it. It sure beats midnights
I suppose I could just pick one schedule and stick with it, but since I am "at home" and my sweetie goes out fighting the masses every day to support us... I figure the least I can do is to match shifts in support

I know. But I think some like to try and tackle one letter at a time, a finish it before going onto the next. The list would show them to much for letters they haven't started. I'm not disagreeing with you at all. I wonder why some don't just use it too, though I know some can't get to it.
i guess its just "to each their own" i do use the list sometimes if im at home where i can have more windows open... and i certainly dont expect that a whole lot of people are going to be helping me when i ask for clues. but when im just looking for one or two particular words (such as my last 2 Ts) i might accidentally see clues for the Rs, Ns, and Ds on my way to the Ts... i usually try to ask for clues first, in case someone is willing....then if there are no volunteers, i may turn to the list after that...

well, you're not getting ours. finding out that there is a ye is NOT the same as finding out how many letters and points it is. and when there are a whole bunch of words that start with a certain letter, finding out that you are missing a 5 is NOT the same as finding out exactly where it falls alphabetically.

i personally use the lists because i dont want to spend more than an hour or two completing the grid
and long before there were lists, people would help each other by discussing what people had found. and when i want to know something, i can't very well say "only people without the list may answer" because people would find it rude.
