Longevity no problem, this woman's dogs are living to 13 and even older. But we do have a temperament prblem (not a problem here in the home, but for example we can't leave her outside the supermarket for ten minutes like everyone else's dogs), and the neck thing is a worry. We thought it probablky would go to wobblers there for a while, but it stabiulized and we just have to use a harness onstead of a collar and be careful who we let her play with; she may end up needing steroids when she hits arthritic age. These things happen--it's teh breeder's don't-want-to-know attitude we don't like, and when Saskia's getting on we'll go with a friend of ours we met after we got her who breeds some mighty fine blues. Anyway, really gotta go for a while now!

I get help everyday, but am often too busy to return the favor and have to log off after my fireworks. I'm trying to return the favor today.
As I said I just got on and can't stay long. But regarding metal illness, my niece, 40 yrs old, just ended her life by hanging herself this past January. All I can say is that you have to listen and pay attention and watch them especially if under medication. If they are determined to end it all, they usually succeed.

i never understood until a year ago when i suffered from depression... closed myself in my basement (finished basement), couldn't eat, sleep, talk to anyone. called a therapist cuz i knew the signs/symptoms from dealing w/my sister for years. i was medicated and had therapy for 6 months. it was incredibly scarey. i was mourning my mom, my 33 yr old son had a heart attack (survived) I was told i had a malignancy in my breast, i was diagnosed w/RA and my joints are crumbling and i was able to climb trees and ride dirtbikes the year before... everything hit me at once and i lost it. the therapist said it was amazing that i could even speak.
My daughter-in-law was in Emergency Room yesterday...then transported on to Vanderbilt University hospital for emergency surgery. then had to be given IV antibiotics before the surgery!!
iv antib's are given as prophylaxic prior to any surgery SMD
Mary oh my that is so sad. We were talking about a person on my photobucket account b who passed on as he was sick in the mind and other things.

ADHD, the health people say it takes 3 major incidents in ones life for your brain to go - well im out of here, be back later. I lost my uncle, lost my job, got a new job, lost my best friend, lost my uncle lost my new job, damaged my knee then my brain went 'right ill be over here now' so its been a hard 2 years of recovery but i thank the stars that im hear im not permantly damaged and i have my loved ones that care
ADHD...she had an abscessed stitch from tubal ligation done about 17 months ago. Abscess was the size of a soccer ball and about to rupture.
