We know when Spring has sprung when we see our first flowers of the season... the crocus peeking through last year's woodchips.
Blessed with one great husband (took 25 years to train), two grown sons who've given me 5 wonderful grandkids (boy 11, boy 8 1/2, boy 8 1/2 (each son had a son 3 weeks apart from each other), girl 5, girl 6). ________________________________________
Happy was the day I found Babble; not just because I love word games, but for the wonderful friendships.
Playing word games/puzzles since childhood. My fondest memories are of Scrabble with my mom. Games Magazine and any of the Mensa Challenge books are among my faves. Been told I'm the only person known who goes to bed with a dictionary (it's true); carry an electronic dictionary/thesaurus with me at all times for quick checks when I'm not home. (Yes, I'm word-obsessed). But with my love affair with my dictionaries and a photographic memory, I have a great time with word games.
Oh.. I'm looking for a new monkey.
My monkey's gone union and has become increasingly demanding. Wants too many
breaks, catered lunches, and spends
way too much time IMing friends.
MONKEY MUNCH
1 cup semisweet choco chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter
1tsp vanilla
9 cups chex cereal (any kind, but I prefer rice)
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
put chips, peanut butter and butter in micro bowl and heat on HI for 1 minute. stir and heat another 30 secs if not melted completely
add vanilla
pour mixture over cereal to coat then
coat w/powdered sugar
I put the cereal in a large plastic bag and pour the choco mixture in the middle of the cereal, then close the bag and manipulate to coat the cereal. I then pour the powdered sugar in and shake it around to coat the squares (half the amount of sugar at a time)
let it "dry" and seal in ziploc bags.
