i am trying to use Google to help me find words
grem how did you do that???
left side grey
MLF: morewords.com works pretty well
grem i cant get that site ot work for me anymore
I used Lickety clues, much as I'd prefer he not show them right off the bat.
There are some interesting words tonight....a little variety with the m's and v's.
any word with 4 Es is interesting
4 single Es, that is
True enough, I surprisingly got the 2 big words first, when it's an "Sh" or "Th" large word, or the like, it takes me forever!
grem can you help with the 10 please?
It's the plural of the ve9 if you have it
ve 9: forcefulness (pluralize, then)
nope dont have that either
the adjective form, ve8, is a phantom here
anyone got stats for the middle e?
em4
em4/5 x2 are 2 of them
ve9 = ve+ not she but **, + ***a** to society
em5/14 looks like the other
found an em 4
phantom ***a**
nbt
someone called an IM 7 right?
yes
In the movie "Yellow Submarine," one of the Beatles said "To the skirmish let us *****" and another Beatle said "I think we should stop sitting on the *****"
okay i have 90 left i am out still dont have the 10 yet but figured out the first 4 letters of it lol
POOF
dustin hoffman is going to be upseet that rainmen isn't accepted
I can just see Dustin Hoffman, secret Babbler, saying "What?!? No rainmen! #$%^&^^#!"
142 words, yeah, 142 words.
...wopner is on..
No more than George Lucas yelling, "HOW IS JEDI NOT A WORD?"
Proper noun, Mr. Lucas sir.
lol, I still try and guess if every time.
Among...erm...other considerations.
I actually kind of like it that there are no celebrities on Babble. No Ashton Kutcher, no Justin Bieber
Haha, Justin Bieber would be horrible at this.
me: "ac + greek letter" Bieber: "Huh, what's greek mean?"
He'd be like, "Baby? Baby? Nope, not in the puzzle, well I'm done!"
a lot of our English babblers would love to see Jordan to the grid
I think her breasts would prevent her from reaching the keyboard.
not know who justin bieber is..
The last time I saw ca5 in the grid, it actually did ca5 off the western wall. Not doing that this time
I only know because I stumbled across a random YouTube video clip of him
Apparently, in an interview, he didn't know what the word "German" meant.
wow he sounds like George Bush
phantom nemesis (and nemeses)
And emesis/tmesis, too.
Those all go together often.
Only Justin, being 12 years old has an excuse! lol
Along with a bunch like miosis, meiosis, osmosis, etc.
.. no really George has the mind of a 12 year old..
hehe
you mean GWB or his daddy?
GWB
daddy has some smarts
His daddy is sharp as a tack
I disagreed with nearly all his politics, but I respect his intelligence
I think GWB got stuck in the birth canal for too long
Crom, one of the gods in Conan's world, is in the grid
When I saw there was a 10 I was betting it would end in -sive, but nope.
Needed a lead D for defensive
ve 9 and what is the other 9?
ra 9, compound word
err, ma 9
Country singer LeAnn is in the grid, and she's a word, too!
ma9/66 ruru
105 down -- enough for tonight :)
thank you..
I was thinking about "rainmen" still, heh
FM.. we were wondering if JOrdan could give a go at this game?
and good morning/evening all I doubt it ruru, you are presuming she has a brain :)
ro 8 and ? the other 8?
mo 8
all that air pressure must amount to something FM?
mo8/45 pl of the 7
both 8s are plurals of 7s (and anagrams, too!)
"Why do you worry about the **** in your brother's eye, when there is a log in your own?" Cuz I'm stupid, that's why!
Her body has to concentrate on keeping her enlarged appendages in the right place.
and if you insert a vowel in the mo7, you get a Robert Jordan character
fm?
her boobies ruru :)
do you think she sleeps on her back?...just thinking about that...
I really didn't look at FMitch saying there was an mo8, before I found the mo8, I promise!
we believe you Doug.
Tis an interesting grid today.
Now there's something you don't see every day...a pair of unrelated 8's which are anagrams of each other
thanks Douglas
my favorite 8-letter anagram set: integral, triangle, relating, altering
plus maybe one or two others
Hi flosey, is yr icon your lovely grandson?
neat because two are math terms
yes FM, this is William
oh, "tanglier" for another, and "teraglin" which is only in some dictionaries
I would call that an anagram clique, but yes
Such a lovely picture!
ty FM
Heh, it's an anagram equivalence class.
gramlinn is a true wordsmith
deair/aired/redia/aider/irade
wolfing/flowing/fowling
capstan/captans/catnaps
OK now you are just showing off *grin*
I'm playing an anagram game, just copying the answers to questions it poses me.
Oooh: carolus/oculars/oscular
am4.6 was the 1st PIN issue to my mother by her bank. navy was the 2nd, and arms was the 3rd. I do wonder if the military theme has continued.

good morning, FM!
hi, grem
riposte/reposit/ropiest/prostie
Hi dc.
Trust all is well with you and yours dc.

ah, fun :/
i ought to be tired, but am not for some reason.
hmm, picas/spica/aspic: anagrams AND a circular set
Done sudoku, done the grid, done email.

that's what we might reach today too :)
and we had 90s last month. go fig
Same here dc, April was summer and May has been freezing.
ash cloud would account for cooler where you are. I do wonder if that's played into it here or not.
I'll only report the more interesting ones; these 4-letter anagrams I'm getting are boring.
bribed/ribbed/dibber
frabjous
You might have a point there and airports are being affected again.
see the 4 letter ones more often in grid though....ates-east-etas-eats-seta-sea t-sate-teas
quite so, dart
leans/lanes/elans
monkeygames and her family almost did not get home from California on time due to the ash. They did get in on time, though as it turns out, as Amsterdam stayed open
ooh, for once the ac skin condition is not my last word
strikers/skirters/skirrets
That is always a word I miss
shallow/hallows (circular)
gelatin/elating (circular)
boastful/boatfuls
Time for breakfast back in a while.
i like the reverse ones...if one is there..the other one has to be.......agenes-senega/reward-drawer/r ewarder-rewdrawer/sloops-spools/strips -spirts/stared-derats/timer-remit
dart: detinue -> reunited, adding the R
here's a good one: thicks/kitsch/shtick/schtik
pique-equip
heelpost/pesthole
supersonic/percussion is one of my favorites
alpines/pineals/spaniel/splenia
supersonic percussion = drum machine
craniums/cumarins
late flip -- hi all
parroted/predator/prorated/teardrop
hi jilli
hi, jilli
Hi jilli.
Do you just know all these, grem, or are you anagram- server-surfing?
I'm playing an anagram game.
heptagons/pathogens
It's built into a chat room somewhere else.
room-moor/else-eels-lees-seel
I made lists of anagrams when I was doing cryptic crosswords, but those are some prize ones!
vees
nametag / gateman is reversible, that's a good one
oops, sorry
Hi Jilli, how did bridge go tonight?
coloniallists / oscillations
minus an L in that double L
acutest / scutate
hi flosey -- it was quite fun, but one bit of weird bidding by partner got me playing an impossible 7 spades! 6 was there, though.
oh, what a shame!!
sorry -- she was playing.
bummer, jilli
that would have been your slam that Westie was wishing for you
oh, different!
I think 7H might have made but nobody bid that.
Yes -- I thought of West then, lol!
i'm sleepy, and so off to bed
Nightynight, dc :)
happy babbling yall! {poof}
flosey -- William's smile is perfect for the theme :)
thanks Jilli
Feeling pleased with myself for getting the im7 to get me to nbt

thanks Douglas, it is my daughter. Im7ly proud of herself for prettying herself up with all she could find.
Lovely pic spritey sprite!! She must get her good looks from her Mom :)
lol FM!
your icon is interesting, FM!
It is a beautiful picutre that doesn't do justice to its small size. Think I will go find a smile to follow todays theme.
smiles are always good, but it is indeed a beautiful pic. Lovely one to hang on one's wall.
Hi everyone! NBT now off to slee[\
gratz and sleep well kimm
TY sprite!
There we go, have updated icon with Atas lovley smiley Sily :)

I have only borrowed her dear.
*grins*
It is just such a splendid photo - it had to be shared.
it is :) and shessmiling now
it is a real smile. Ends the whole discussion about whether or not animals can smile - here you are.
good morning Sprite, beautiful smiling daughter
Every time I look at that Sily smile it makes me break out into a broad grin.
Every time I look at that Sily smile it makes me break out into a broad grin.
hi flosey, and a lovely smile on your icon as well! Grandson?
indeed FM. One of the reasons I picked this theme is I thought it might make us all smile.
oops 8am hic up time I see.
yes, Sprite
he is gorgeous
The imenece of sun and warm temps today are also making me smile.
lolllllll
William is such a cutie flosey.
FM, got to tell you something: I actually worked in the garden yesterday! First ti4 this year. I sow peas, tomatoes, pumpkins, passion flowers, cucumbers and courgettes.
Oh wtg sprite, well done!!!!!!
and... no ill effects, neither yesterday eve nor today. Feeling ok. Trying to induce faster growth by looking at plant pots.
Pottering around in the garden is one of the most benefical and calming things.
I have got so much pleasure out of just having a garden - even over the winter.
the last few days I feel like I finally made it over that dark brick wall. I started to write again, am active in the house again, even gardening. Haven't felt like this in many many years.
am so happy for you you finally have a garden, FM. It is so great to hear you enjoying it :)
(((sprite)))
I have noticed an uplift in your postings for a little while now. May things continue to well for you dear.
thanks FM :)
thanks FM, was interrupted for a bit, reading back
and on that happy note I must be off. Have much to do today.
have a wonderful day, FM.
Hi -- sorry I disappeared
wb flosey and jilli
jilli, I love your smile
Well, at least all those teeth are mine own, lol!
My mother often used the interjection "Crimenently!" Do you know people who use that?
darn girrrrl, is that a way to receive a compliment! ;)
Thank you, sprite <giggle>
:D
not me, Douglas
I was thinking about it because "cr5n" is in the grid...waiting for someone to tell me to go to the PB...sadly trudging off myself, but thinking of snacks
hi guys, Sprite your little girl is very sweet, and have you finished yet?
thanks sandy, hi! And no, silly. just started.
she has a lovely smile
Yes, sprite, your little girl's smile is enchanting.
thank you! She is a lovely girl. (no proud mother here, no)
morning everyone. could I please have a lcue for the i on the bottom row, it's my last one for NBT
A web page sez Criminently is an American Midwest construction, which would suggest my mother picked it up in either Ohio or Indiana as an adult
think of cold
hi Katie, very big
ty sprite, I needed that too
wel well well, nbt :)
yvw. I think the cold word comes from the i from the 4th row.
wtg jilli
yes, it does
i am hopeless, i have that one sprite and I realise the other comes from the other i
I need a banana to celebrate with -- back in a bit
the trouble is i am overworked
lol if that makes one hopeless, I should give up now
In the Little Rascals movie, the stupid bully was named Woim. He's in the grid
that is a bad thing to be, sandy.
I loved the original lil rascals
it is Sprite, now Bruce is home I have to pretend to be busy all the time...
don't pretend. You have a right to some relax time just as everybody else.
darn, that's me off to the sin bin.
his pneumonia which is giving him a pain in the side doesn't seem to be getting any better and he is nearly finished his antibiotics -back to the doc on thursday
LOL Sprite- it s his birthday tomorrow - I finally got a painting off ebay- which I love and hope he does!
sometimes pneumonia can be hard to treat. Did they make a... whatsitcalled... so they can find out which bacteria are causing it?
aw birthday boy ;) Gratz on the painting.
no they didn't and now I guess some further treatment is called for - maybe draining of the lung
ty for the i clue sprite. NBT and off to work x
argh that sounds horrible. But it might be necessary indeed. Will keep my fingers crossed for thursday.
Fireworks
yvw Katie and have a grand day
gratz flosey
now off to read emails, then to bed, goodnight all
sleep well!
YAY flosey!!!
nite flo
I don't think I like this grid much

and sprite
is it too easy, Ata?
poof
night flosey
aw, looks mighty uncomfortable, your brace, Ata.
no, I think I'm just having a stupid day!
oh I know those days. I think... another cup of tea, first, dear.
just got one:)
good! That should help a bit ;)
can't get much worse LOL
see, I know when to do a safe prediction
and now I ssee there's a 10 letter word! just great.LOL
yeah, haven't found that one either.
oh good. don't feel quite so bad then!
never noticed that at
only just noticed it!
ooo I got a 7 LOL
I dont look that far down square thing (word stats) lol
my foolish eye almost turned to the stats. But my brain realised in ti4 it is no good knowing I haven't found any of the 10, 9s and 8s, and only one 7. With only 28 left to go. Eeks.
I have one 7
try to get the 4s and 5s first
eeeep. horrid big words today!
hush
39 left here
and I keep seeing vehement. no help there either.
NNNNearly, Sprite!!
oh yes! very near!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
ty for that 9/10!
Oh dear now I feel really foolish. Thanks liz and sorry!
*note to self: don't tell about your phantoms. You will put your foot in it for sure.*
thanks, gang!
yw... I think...
I've been busy looking up websites about the sort-of-word "Criminently" and picking up words here and there. Thanks for that 9/10 lizmac
well here the biggies come at last.
yay!
ma9: compound
got it
oh yes. very nautical
thanks
that is a topical subject here in Aus at the moment after the special event on the weekend
mo7/8 sounds to me like cherries, but they are mass(es) of unstratified glacial drift.
ie: 16 year old jessica watson completing her around the world solo voyage
ra6/7: I start running and you ra6 :)
don't think I would have the courage as a parent to let my 16 year old do it
she did amazingly
wtg for her and she must have learned so much that no school or parent could ever teach
so was my mother suitably brave when I went off round the world at 15/16? I love my mum!
your mum rocks
you did at?
yep
tell us about it
um. I just bummed around NZ, Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa after leaving school. I love travelling, always have done
ro7/8 a kind of lettuce and anagram of the mo biggies.
Exciting at that age, you were lucky to do it
I've always been an independent little brat!
good for you!
fireflies!
and I'd been going back and forth from NZ for afew years then anyway
yay sprite!
you must be feeling 'brattish' at the moment with that thing on your leg!
YAY sprite!!!
wd Sprite, still have 27
omg. I can hardly walk out of thegarden.I hate it!
I have to go to bed -- night all!
sleep well, jilli
nite jilli
whats up with you ata??
Hope I can do some of this tomorrow.

waaaaaah, i can't do it
oh I see it now
duh duh ......I am a twit....thanks for that
:D
not the easiest one to see. very twisty
that has been driving me NUTS
babblers should see that easily
the obvious ones always are like that
One thing I find disturbing about these american shows is that they seem to equate guns with manliness!! I can only see the opposite
urf yes
Hello
At, if you are still there, I cannot find the wo5/20- can you clue it please
hi herin i have 7 left and am going mad
or madder than usual
lol sandy - me, you and herin = wo5/20!
OH NO!! what a fish
:D
hello everybody. John just left and I'm still wiping away my tears, going out to lunch for consolation and then will seen everybody later
thankyou thankyou
see*
awwwwww ruby
Ruby, who is john?
dang it sorry I have to lurk for a min
however, the visit was fine, he pitched in and cleaned out my studio, made me throw away 1000's of photos and "stuff", I like my DIL much more than before, and they're off to Italy/.
Sandy, John is my son (see proud mom's profile*) and he lives in Texas, so I only see him every year or so
Oh, now I understand, that is sad , I would be the same except worse (I have shallow tearducts)
Ruby, I have been watching the Italian Tour
yay for the Tour!
I look forward to the Tour de France every year; it's a 3-week French lesson as well as being beautiful and interesting and NOT boring!
it looks tough, lots of mud, they all looked like they were covered with manure
and last year the individual time trial went around "our" lake and past our garden and through our village
its giving me a 'fix' to get through to the French Tour
too funny about the mud; it has rained for two weeks or so, I guess in Italy, too
BTW, Sandy, Vinokurov is my least favorite rider!
Cadel Evans (who I think is a bit of a prig) won a stage
Sastra fell off
but I like him better than Vino or Cancellara!
was he badly injured?
I will pay more attention to Vinokurov
Not injured - he landed on the grass with some others
didn't even rip his shorts i think
Vino is an obnoxious di** who used to dope! was banned for 2 years and he hated Lance
yes, he's horrid!
how many years have you been watching, Sandy?
Who? Vin or cadel
I've only watched since we moved to France; this will be my 12th
lots of years now Ruby , can't remember
Vino; as far as anyone can tell, Cadel may be a prig but he's clean LOL
Vino'shorrid
yes!
I haven't yet found anyone to utterly transfer my affections to after Richard Virenque retired
he punched a reporter in one Tour de France - I like that sort of thing (lol)
Is Levi Leipheimer in the Tour d'Italy?
not sure haven't paid so much attention
I always liked him]
He once fell in the Dauphine Libere race right in our village.
did you run out and offer assist Ruby?
my husband buys me the guides to the Tour. All the French women I know think I'm crazy for watching and being a fan
hahah
I really like it as you know
have to go now, but will be back after lunch ((hugs))
sorry about that sigh
see ya!!
6 left and about to give up
I should go too. I'm go to go and sit out in the garden with Hobbit while the sun is shining!

Hello
hi herin
holy crap..i got the 9/10
Hi hAndree
Does anyone know about MYOB?
yes i do herin, use it daily
Thank gods. I need to know where I can find a free trial of MYOB 17 or failing that does MYOB 19 convert to 17 if needed
is there a 19, i am on 18.5
I have 19 as a trial but the school PC's run on 17 and I am desperate
I don't know how you could get a trial without ringing them as when you upgrade i don't know how you could do it without joining
Dang. Do you know that if I use 19 if I can see it on 17?
I wouldn't be begging if my teacher didn't boot me out of her class because I was doing my work
herin 19 will be exactly the same except for the tax tables which have pretty much changed each year
Ok but do you know that if I put the data in 19 it would talk to 19?
put your data in and try working with it, put some dummy cheques or wages in and see how it goes, i will hang around on line so i can tell you how to delete what you enter
It is ok I have to have 17 at school I will do that and then go tommorrow and see if it works. I will save it as a totally new file under 19
thank you for that suggestion.
I will test it now. Laters
bye herin
got to go with 19 left
bye carlee
hey babblers!

en6/24... en + the net word

Hey lynxx, you still here?
yep
oh good can I have a winge?
sure
Just caught a wood pidgeon trying to nest in my rosemary bush and it has broken a big branch off = third of the plant gone now :((
on the upside I guess I will have to buy some lamb and marinade it.
Silly pigeons..they build such shoddy nests. The rosemary will survive, nothing kills it. I get sick of giving mine drastic haircuts
Oh that is encouraging to hear.
HAVe been planting up contaiers and pots today - back is tired but much enjoyment.
You have never grown it? Keep cutting it to keep it compact and a nice shape, it will grow/spread from the cut so you can be quite savage
Haven't had a garden in 13 years lynxx so am feeling like a newbie.
I have been going to chiro once a month for the last couple of years to keep on top of a somewhat dodgy back. Been going to gym for a couple of months now and feel so much stronger in the back, now going to push out chiro to a 6-8 weeks
Going to the gym is good - get everything working and well done you.
all those endomorphines being released can't be bad :)

thats when babble rocks,to fill in those dull times
17 years...seems longer somehow lol!
thats great - its supposed to seem like yesterday...
our owner did not give anyone contracts yet (very late now) and wants to have a mandatory faculty meeting Fri at 10 a.m. I cannot be there because DH has surgery that morning....all last minute planning on the school's part.....think he wants to cut hours/salary
family first,if he cuts hours,he will
well if he cuts hours I may quit...took a pay cut to come here
i work to live,i have never lived to work,or jump through hoops at the whim of petty overlords
I am doing okay with the jewelry festivals, so this may be a way to see if I can do that full time
i work today,i may not tomorrow, but i have my wife and my son and a way will always be found
that is a great attitude crossy. I get too caught up in work sometimes - not crazy caught up thankfully. I do NOT bring it home anymore. Changed jobs 7 years ago and havent brought it home since.
I am with you, Mom
i used to be a type a suited asshole who drank 10 coffees a day and was on my way to my 401k and a heart attack, but i got a life lesson and am grateful
Speaking of work - it is calling my name - must dive in before I get caught having fun - have a great day.
Well, Crossy, I used to work for people like your former self! I was totally stressed out
afterwards you lay there and think"i could of been dead in 6 weeks and i was wasting my life with that crap??"
good for you, Crossy!
hi nb!

hey, Science and Crossy :)
*checks Nancy Boy to be sure he's eating properly* hello all!
hi stid
hmmm...well I very much enjoy my job, but it's not exactly a career. Couldn't be a city boy though - I'm too short for most suits to fit properly ;)
hi, Stid! yes, I'm still in one piece ;) getting lonely stuck in here all alone though!
find joy in each day,do something that scares you once a day, give joy to others and take the time to stop and smell the roses and reset your zen/wa/chi at least once a day
driving scares me
lol watching others drive scares me lol
second cup of coffee; raining here; morning fellow Babblers
howdy judy
Back to finish this pup. Hiya, NB, sciencegeek and Judy, and others.
howdy judi
Hi, Judy and Judi :)
so, I guess someone will have to fill me in on the Friday meeting drama.....wondering if I need to clean out my room
Hi Crossy, Judi, Stid, {{NB}}, Geek
no coffee here, not "up and at 'em" today, trying to decide if it's worth it to go to the lectures today -- I teach the next three days, and highly unmotivated to be in student-mode today
hey Judy
howdy stiddles;))
thankfully all's quiet at work today
science, if you have to cut hours and so leave this job, will you just focus more on the jewelry?
hey cross. how's the apnea?
Can you conference in on the meeting on your cell phone, science?
Stid - yes I will! I think I can do okay!
I should grade papers now, even if I end up going to school later.
better stidmama,im upt to 4 hours a night with the cpap machine
No, I am taking husband for some minor surgery and will be in the hospital
clue for ca 6/24 please
I think you can, too -- a little scary to be self-employed, imho, but you have talent!
wonderful, cross! *happy hopeful mama look* is your wife also sleeping better? does the noise of the pump bother her any?
thanks, stid....I have done fairly well with the few festivals this year. If I had Mon-Thurs off, then I can make more inventory and book more shows......
Crossy - can you have surgery for the snoring and apnea?
Have thought about selling your goods online, SG? Etsy.com is a great site for hand crafts.
science,i have ran many shops, stations and stores and have a tad of advice.pick one spot to vend your wares.always keep your hours of operation the same, even if you just stare at the walls for 2 hours a night and advertize, advertize,ADVERTIZE
Matches - auto + opp of girls
not sure science
I have a website and really don't want to pay Etsy!
I am not sure where to advertise Crossy
ty cross got it
*nodding*
why are nodding Judi?
Understanding your position about Etsy.
clue for the en 6/24 please
the local town paper is a good place to start, many fill themselves with flyers, you can get flyers printed up and tey will place them in their papers, the postoffice offers good rates for mail box stuffing of flyers,in 10,000 lots usually, and you can also rent a 1/4 or half page on the back of the local paper
nm got it!
like the in 6/24
I have had an ad in the local rag before - was expensive - and got zero return on it. I look at the festivals as advertising since I have to pay a fee to get a space and I hand out tons of business cards.....
try canada post,i think it used to be 400 dollars for 10,000 flyers
bbs - need to see if someone needs a potty break
Knowing nothing about your business, but wondering if there is a farmer's market around you that you could participate in if you had the time and funds? I adore the jewelry at our market! **pops out again**
they can cover areas faster than you can
Local bulletin boards? - like in grocery stores, local colleges/universities, Craigslist, etc.
help on the i in the fourth column bottom row?
good start judi,but too small
and canada post is nowhere near science... but there are some advertisers that might work in the U.S.
hit the prospective customers big and fast
or u.s postal.i was just generalizing
I was just thinking of the free advertising alternatives.
they work in much the same way
hello I'm back -- sonless and sunless
lol howdy ruby
Hi Ruby
not sure what the rates are for bulk mail these days. If the idea is to generate customers word of mouth campaigns might be more effective at this part of her business life cycle... until she has a larger inventory.
hey ruby (((hugs)))
if you run it online, then through babble you have access to a multitude of cities round the world...send us all a virtual ad that we can print off and stick up around ;)
always remember,in advertising, you get what you pay for
hey Nancy Boy
that's a good idea, Nancy Boy!
and you can set up a site for yourself at freewbs.com they used to let you set up to 8 pages
I did NOT type "hey Nancy Boy"! I swear it! rofl... my figners have a mind of their own
she has a website already, cross!
then get all your friends to google bomb it;0
LOL! It's alright Stid, I hear it on the street all the time ;)
That's how I know she has talent in making jewelry
Hi all
good stuff;0
Hello everyone! How's the grid today?
hey dobie!
thank you stidmama
hey blue!
Hi Blue and Dobie!
but ive nagged enough lol
I don't want to hear about herons! since last week, a local heron ate about 300 fish from my husband's pond and he is heartbroken!
no help on the i in the bottom row fourth column?> I need to get "working" on these papers that need grading.
Don't have those I's yet Stid
oh no ruby! have you tried netting over the pond, or is it too big?
that's okay Judy...

boy! running ad-aware for spy-bot really makes a speed difference in the computer!! for those that may be interested go to www.oldversion.com and load latest ad-aware(it is freeware and safe)
off to chiro -- bbl
they have an updated adware but it such a large program it slows down the computer
thats why i use 6.1;)
and do not have it on auto start
go to run/msconfig/startup and uncheck it from auto start menu and only use it when you want
i have as few things in my start menu as possible;)
do i want my leftover turkey loaf (with green beans and mashed sweet potato) or do i wanna head to the caf + get (i think) chinese?

en6/24 - catch in a netlike tangle
well, whatever this really is, its tasty. :)
but do they taste good?
that's the important thing!
noodles, shrimp, onions, green peppers, *very* little broccoli, and a mix of sweet-n-sour and kung pao sauces. :)
Yum! Call it huh mein and enjoy.
crossy - carrot cake mix - oh no no - MUST make from scratch.
or delish lo meinish
with real carrots and pecans and pineapple and real cream cheese (not the low fat stuff)
yummein
This carrot cake mix of which you speak - does it have, well, carrots?
I doubt it - crossy's note down a ways said he had a cake mix waiting. Does it say carrots in the ingredients crossy?
oh no, just finished dinner, lurked for a minute and am hungry again!!!
poor ruby!
What a strange concept, carrot cake mix. If you have to add carrots there's not much point int he mix, and if you don't add carrots, it isn't a carrot cake, is it?
Hi Ruby
i think my carrot cake mix contains carrots. dried, i would presume, though.
need help wit the he 6/24...not getting wht's clue
and hi all!
I suppose they could be dried/dehydrated carrots

how are you soodle, ashed in?

Lol. I am good, Rubes. Nope - airports open again - to my son's disgust. He had to return to the UK this morning!
I think the authorities have changed the degree of ash cloud needed to close the airspace.
Good afternoon
I'm going to London for 3 days on the 28th and half dreading, half anticipating it....

ma9/66 compound word and ve9/90 & 10/112
thank you mary for cluing the 9's again.
NCIS? - me too!
THe last episode left me hanging! Do you want to hear my theory?
sure
that lawyer lady with the very blue eyues and long dark straight hair that has been popping up all sason, is behind all of this. SHe is the one who is setting the team up to look at Gibbs.
She got the one man freed in Mexico, then she was for some reason appointed an attache to the Mexican government guy, and then....
-- good possibility
I'm so sure I'm right. but I hope in the end it works out, if Gibbs goes, I think the show goes.
what do youthink?
I agree
Don't care for NCIS - LA at all
Yes, I agree the NCIS LA, jst didnt feel right. I think the days of spin offs are over.
ok 36 left.
doesn't look like you or anyone else needs help, so I will be on my way :)
Bye Cyber! I think I may hit list soon.
wow -- impressive -- I listed with 73 to go
I have had a few clues here and there Cyber, But I find if the list has a lot of bank spots, I get overwhelmed...
33 left- time for list.
en6, the first one?
Caught in a net- en6.
ty KtM
im6?
im + me4
in6?
NM, got it; the en6, im6, and in6 are all basically the same word
1 left for me...yipee!
FIREWORKS!
Just 3 left but am going in circles! Any clue for se6/21?
Congrats MPittore!! This is not an easy grid. Hooray for you!
gitel - town/native american tribe in new york
ty joshua. I've been there but didn't see it on the grid.
Thx Josh!! now down to 2 little me's-- I always get the long words first and agonize over the bitsy ones!
menia
se6 was my first word because i just drove through there this morning
oops! there goes my error prone self again!! Just monkeying around trying to get it all
HELLO ALL! Are you still here, mother?
hello Gitel -- did that one work?
wow, it's quiet this afternoon ! (perhaps they saw me coming...)
gee -- I have ONE left--me 4/6 I think I have tried every combo imaginable!! I know I will kick myself later when it turns out to be obvious.
go gitel go!
I'll check the list, maybe i have that one.
cdo you need the first or the second?
ooh! I hope so; I already have the office one. And I must start dinner!
it's either a note or you've used it as the second syllable about six times
okay, you need the one that ends the im and en 6 words... like a net
or what doseffing said!
hi stid :) hi all
hey Kaz!! ((hugs)) long time no see. are you well?
Yep...been a while, am doing better than I was! Hope all has been good with you :)
I am well, overwhelmed with school and kids but otherwise enjoying walking without a cane! Have even been in the garden a bit the last few weeks. I love having soil under my nails again!
did you finish Gitel?
ve10?
am hoping spring arrives soon so I can start to enjoy being outside more..everytime it warms up a little it then decides to snow again!!
don't have that one yet peg
peg, do you have the 9?
i have a ve 9
no
yes, there has been strange weather all over! we have had summer-like weather the last couple weeks, but not completely unusual for us this time of year. I just hope our real summer is yet to come. Some years we have a teaser in spring and then need to relight the furnace in july!
Yes, just not watching the chat. Trying to tackle ra words. Have almost all but one was a brain twister.
oh duh now I have the 10
hello Mother. I am at home again.
Yes, thank you -- I spent so much time looking for the last me and I was missing the last ma!!!!! Ah well, fireworks at last -- time to cook.
I lost my voice entirely and have a bit of a low-grade fever. THought it better to come and rest so I have a chance of being useful tomorrow when I actually teach.
I don't have it either but I'm guessing the 10 is it's plural.
YAY Gitel!!!!
Early day for you then. Hope you enjoyed what you heard and saw.
so I am resting for now, then will finish grading papers and getting ready for tomorrow with a little more time.
Clues welcome here. Please.
okay can anyone cclue the ve9?
It was interesting. We were acting out scenarios - how teachers can deal with abuse (bullying and harassment). Very useful.
I think some of the tai kwan do helps with the issues you were dealing with.
yes, I think it does. As soon as I think my hip is stable, I will take TKD with stidkid! LOL but mostly I think what I have been doing in the real classroom is working -- instant feedback to people engaged in negative behaviors, followed at a later point with a discussion that is less emotionally charged.
Don't have the ve 9 or 10 only the 4.
ve9 = fervent or intense
as in a ve****** denial, only the noun form
thanks joshua!
ty
adn then plural for the ten! oh, I am so pleased to have that now!
uses every one of those e's
veheniment
sorry
I ment to be in the other box
ty Done!
YAY gramma!
Oh look work's done too. I'm outta here.
anyway, stidkid #2 should show up a little after 2:30 today Mother, this was the 2nd day of testing for them. He was fine after yesterday, but don't know how his energy level will be today.
Well, I thought we could make some cream cheese fudge that requires no cooking.
he will LOVE that! LOL the way to a boy's heart...
I don't know how to spell that darned ve word that means I am getting pretty upset and dogmatic and furious.
see you later gramma
cream cheese fudge, never heard of that, sounds good
hello all
Fudge? Did I hear fudge.
Hi peri, it's in a cookbook I've had since first married. Never made it before so it's about time.
hey red, it is your turn in scramble
ve + (from little rascals) ** man wo... + plural guys + french article "that"
Oh No!
I'll get there peri!
Yes red, fudge. It has no redeaming qualities except it is decadent. So I guess that is good.
no rush, red
let me know if that clue worked...
I made roasted potatoes, sauteed mushrooms and onions and a green salad for dinner. delish
that sounds wonderful peri!
is the IC 6 fishy?
I cut the potatoes in chunks and tosed them around in olive oil with a ittle salt and peppe and put them on a cookie sheet
Oh, no but actually I'm more interested in peri's dinner. I have mushrooms and you have solved the riddle of my dinner peri. Bless you. I have the dessert.
ic6 men who carry frozen H20
thanks peri!
no dessert here :(, except for caramel candies :)
Yes, chill the ic.
wow. knowing about boats helped with the MA 9
Yes. Also, with more time I iron the top *****. Isn't that silly?
now if I only had some of those cream cheese brownies...
rofl... TMI, Mother!
Need to sign off and get equipment out for stidkid. Lots of love to all.
very silly stidgmere. I have never irioned a top **** in my life
is the MO 7/8 combo fishy?
stid, do you have the ro7 lettuce
Love you Mother, see you later!
I do now! thanks peri
yvw stiddy
when I was a kid my mother made me iron all the sheets and pillowcases.
that was the clue I needed! Ms Mastered!
hey blue!
whoops...pb for me again
thank goodness my mom never made me do that, blue
hi stid
I learned to iron my paternal unit's work shirts. I can do shirts REALLY fast still, but try to buy ones that don't need ironing.
ok, off to do some reading and watahc tv, see you all later or tomorrow
there you go stid
later peri, thanks
bye stid
oops I mean peri
blue, that is a great icon pic, but really really big. It is slowing down the chog a lot...
do you know how to resize pictures?
no
fireworks
YAY joshua!!!!
a
congratulations joshuav!!!!!
what should I do Stid?
I can resize it for you and send it by email if you like. Do you know how to get a picture form email onto your computer so you can use it?
hey chiley
hi chiley. how goes it.
not really
okay... *thinking* how did you get the icon pic onto your profile?
can I resize it myself?
firewords!!!!
I just browsed my pictures and picked one.
congrats mama! i need to go get list, i have gotten about 3 words in 40 min...
yes. Do you know what your computer has for editing pics?
like what?
My mother uses Picasa. Some people have photoshop or similar programs
picasa works well, i find it user friendly.
and free.
free is important to our family!
ok I getcha..my partner is going to put Adobe on this computer....thanks
i like free.
though on the Babble they said they resize..??
yes, resize the picture to be smaller -- about 400 x 40 0pixels works well.
actually she uses photoshop all the time. This is a new computer and we haven't put adobe on yet.
(that's 400 x 400) Glad you have someone who knows how to do that blue.
thanks so much stid
photoshop will also resize though it is a lot more comlicated than picasa..
yw heron. I have to go grade papers and think about the lesson I teach tomorrow whether I have a voice or not. *sigh* of course my body decides to give up just when it is leat convenient!
I will see you-all again soon! *poof*
good luck stid, I am glad to not be you, though I admrie you.
dog is getting restless, will be right back...
and we're back. Clearly I missed nothing!

My cousins husbnad got a job, which is extreme good news.
Hi, all!

hi all... 58 left and I am in a hurry... time to list!
Hi all I am also going to list, as I need to be ready for the event of NCIS tonight.
36 left here.
is there a definition for the ve9?
yes jean, if you were horribly angry you might speak with Ve*******.
perfect, thanks for that red
wow a whopper
ty
the second 9?
I dont always give good clues, but that one was fun to give. I kept trying to get it withthe T at the end.
compound word.. think of a sail boat. ma9
the ma9 is like the primary bed linen,
never heard of it before.
never did either, ty perfect
now, I am looking for an opportunity to weave it in, I already taught all the gals at work "Pudenda"
all yuo ever wanted to know about your pudendum but were afraid to ask
yes. well, not so sure the ma 9 will fit in my job as easily as the pudenda did.
the gals probably have a bit more first hand experience with pudenda... more relevant to their lives, etc
afraid to ask what your job is!
I think so, we live no where near boats, and vici I work in an Emergency Deparment, we look at pudenda and worse all day long.
red.. really... such language
well, it is latin, not slang....
LOL kje, I am trying to find a way to work the 9 and ten into my daily conversation...
Hi kje.
hey
and dorens and vici and jean and all lurkers. I am trying to complete before NCIS....
the 10 should be easy enough
yaya, and hi to all the rest of you. sure it is, kj, just pluralize the 9
true true that one will not be a problem.
no, i mean to use in convo... I am done
oh, well yay kayjay.
are you in the PB baking cakes?
I am twiddling here while waiting for my sushi
i think the ten is not easy, the 9 yes, but how often do you discuss plurals of them?
why? did i say a word???
Hello all.
Hi scrabbs, no kje, no word, I just want cake and you are done.
hey scrab
hi scrabs. how was your TUesday?
What is this talk of pudenda???
wrote my eval today, scrab, on the lame intern... why do I always feel bad about those low evals
red is talking dirty
you know how she can get
red needs a clue fr the im 7 please.
im7 - HUGE
very large... now, I need oone for the im6
im6 - like in6
This morning was part 2 of root canal procedure--he had to locate canal #3 that he could not find during part 1 procedure. After saying "Oh, Christ," drilling, grunting + groaning he said "Hot diggety, there it is!"
the im 6 is just like one of the en6's involving getting stuck in a net.
and thanks!!!! for the huge.
LOL scrab... I think I would be a little freaked out by that
thanks!
im6, en6, em6 - all the same
oh no, more? was hoping that was done by now scrabs? quite an ordeal there. ssorry
scrabbs do you have relief now?
But that feedback is essential, kje. People must be protected from bad doctors. Better he find out now than be moved along.
just draining scrab... took me almost an hour to write it
agreed with scrabb, kje, he knows it, he needs someone to let it be known.
oh crud, 17 left and ncis is coming on!!!!! My Gibbs, they are going to crucify him.
16
kje, we know attending MDs that are bad docs that should have gotten identified long ago. Now they are endangering patients. Dr Richard Head is one of those.
nooooo - are they getting rid of gibbs?
But honest feedback will--we hope--make him a better doc.
hopefully, scrab... it was disheartening when he told me no one had ever told him about these issues before
15 rushing rushing.
go red go
do you need ic6?
no kje I dont but I am to 13
darn, i wanted to clue it - LOL
clue away someone needs it, lurkers?
I had classmates and interns + residents that needed to be snagged for no brains/sense.
evening, how is this one?
(hi friends!)

LOL 4 left.
full night of tv ahead, debating skipping grid
121 to go
dad had the boys tonight, so i got to sit on the couch and read for a while, then take a couch nap. i had decided to do NOTHING this time. no cleaning, no school, no computer.
i actually need the ic6
You deserve that, Feather!
sounds nice feather
plural of the ic**** cometh
yayay dorens
kje wanted to clue it!
darn, i missed my chance to clue ic6... sushi delivered
2 left. errrggg.
you can still clue it
oops, started. lol
hard not to start and stick around feather
I have eaten only ice cream since root canal was finished at 12.
well that is some consolation to the root canal
go red go
Come on, red!!
i can't figure out why my house is so cold
Is it cold outside?
oddly I have fireworks, but never saw them, I had to refresh....jmmm

Rained all day here, until an hour ago.
i never turned mine off
55 oh my goodness. I had to ac the day away.

its 87 now, and the sun is on its way down.
bye dorens
ok must concentrate on Gibbs.....and NCIS. so far its bad bad and sad.
Bye Doren
Bye Red
brrrrr i think i am going to make something warm
brb
nooooooo - I don't want to lose gibbs
Is Harmon leaving the series? Or is it season finale suspense?
wish you could watch lost with me tonight kje!
Since "24" is coming to an end my friend + I need a new show to get addicted to and to discuss. We might rent Lost and watch that.
me too, weed
doug was very sad last night re: 24
is it over?
scrab - the wire... rent that
But this season has been awful--SO implausible!
Is that the show in Baltimore?
yep
pretty intense at times though
hey babblers, I have a question for your collective wisdom!
are we collectively wise?
hi harp
It seems to me that, although color ink is usually a bit more expensive than black and white, it is not TERRIBLY more costly to print in color than in black and greyscale. Because, when you print in color, you are using LESS black ink..... A color cartridge, as a rule, lasts twice as long as a black one.
What do you all think?
and how many letters in the n words?
no idea
ummm, no clue! sorry
and the i words?
ne4 x 2, and ni4 x 1
ic6 and ic4
ic6 cometh
I rarely print in color.
what about the middle E? how many lettesr?
I am not liking this grid--not seeing much and I am almost halfway.
6
em6 - mr kelly
TY, kje
yw
How is your mother doing, kje? And your parents live where?
Whoa- ve10! I'm not gonna monkey that one!
they live here, and they are doing fine
kaplan - it is doable
But did you grow up in Baltimore or Dallas?
Hi Kaplan
suburb of dallas
born in VA, moved here at 5, was in B-more for 10 years
Ah, for some reason I thought your hometown was Baltimore.
Hi. ZI have 27 left but too many ;long ones I can't see. And that ve10--whoo baby!
Doable but not by me!
ve10 - plural of ve9
I have a cousin in Dallas. His daughter will graduate from Booker T Washington HS soon.
Oh- I know it!!!
ve9 - anger
I GOT IT!!!
good
All by myself!
isn't that the arts magnet?
*thinking about ve9*
I don't have the 9- ios it like the 10?
Yep, she has won awards in film, and will go to UT Austin to major in Physics vs Film--undecided, but very bright.
Hm, not vehement.
cool scrab! will you be down for graduation?
close enough to get a trip to the PB, scrab
Nope, never been there, but someday I may go with his sister/my cousin.
Don't you think veisenica would make a cool word?
must be if she's going to UT
k, look me up
Aha, got ve9 + 10 now!
Been where? To the PB?
Sounds like a homeopathic product or a plant, Kaplan
hi wild... is your name joanne?
no
k, trying to remember a babbler, but can't get it right
TX babbler named joann... any clues?
Is the ve9 related to the 10?
yes kap - singular form
I know 3 Babbling Joannes but they are not in TX
yes, so do i scrab... that is what has me stumped
one in toronto
And 1 in PA and 1 in NJ
can I have a clue for the VE...I'm just not getting it.
yep
ve9 - anger... ve10, plural... and if you scroll back, scrab typed a close version in the chog
I don't know many joanns period
Oh- I already had the 9- I caouldn't count that high. - Pluraled it.
ve,+ the bottom of your skirt or pants, and a suffix
At 80/62 I have had enough of this grid. See you all tomorrow.
bye scrab... feel better
I need a good night of sleep. I am off til Monday so I can sleep in tomorrow.
yay! sleeping in, even if only to 6, is so heavenly during the week
22 left- but I'm not staying. It's my bedtime.
gn kap
22 isn't many though...
you can do it Kap!
hi kje!
May I please have a clue for ra6-24? Thanks

Thanks, torgone, that is sweet of y ou.

funny story on the news tonight - a kid saved up all their money and went to the Apple store to buy an Ipad...they refused to sell him one. The reason? They don't take cash. PUH leez!

Typical Steve Jobs arrogance ..
