when one or more of us see a troll, we say UTB (code for under the troll bridge). we ALL totally ignored them, not even ONE word of interactive communication. they just went away after saying things like: isn't anybody there? multiple times w and w/o obscenities and such. not a one of us ever acknowledged them and they left.

i have a large "lesion" on my lower spine from it that has made a mess of my back. disintegrated a fusion, spine collapsed and not operable. too risky. very painful.

I have had 7 treatments in the last 10 days and the pain of arthritis in my hips is almost gone..

also have degenerative arthritis from Lyme Disease...a double whammy. but the RA lesion can't be removed or i'll lose the use of my legs. there's too much scar tissue tangled up in the mess around the 8 hooks and 2 rods holding my spine together

have had some form of arthritis all my life but RA (actually a bad form of psoriatic RA) has been trouble for a few years now
LILT regenerates tissue, removes pain and all kinds of wonderful things. it's non invasive and I want off drugs... surgery is not an option for me.

from an auto accident in 85 i had 7 in six years (all ortho). then a Lyme tick got me in 94 and again in 95 and at the time the ins. wouldn't give you enuf time on IV to kill the bugger, so it lives in me and attacked my joints

True, AD but I get depressed with so much pain and the feeling of being trapped, I had to take a proactive stance as reg. Dr. are so limited. I love being down minimal pain; I even went shopping and had lunch with a friend today first time in a long time..

i hear ya chic... the disease pain is bad enuf, but my cervical fusion failed also and i've been everywhere and told it can't be fixed, so the pain in my arms is incredible and i refused to druge myself into oblivion. i take drugs, yes, but without them i can't even feed myself. at least i have a life now, albeit not the one i had a few years ago. i wasa climbing trees and riding dirtbikes and quads and running and jumping. i got hit fast and hard

i've been taking Plaquenil for RA twice a day for about 18 months, but it's not working very well anymore. it helped the stiffness and a little for pain. I would resort to pain meds (Percocet) after no sleep for 2 nights.. on the 3rd nite, i'd take it so i could get some sleep. but my days were spent in agony on my couch. so i went for pain management and take the extended release, w/Ps for breakthru pain. I took NSAIDs for so long i shredded the lining of my stomach and can't take thema nymore. but my issues are not just RA, but spinal collapse from disintegrated fusions in my neck and back

dear AHDH - like other RA sufferers you are just amazing what you endure ... I hope you find something/s new that will help in the near future
if my arms and back didn't hurt so bad, i could handle it much better, but when those hooks in my back shift it just takes my breath away and sends me to the floor.
you sound like a friend of mine.... has already had 7 or 8 surgeries... now they say same to her... "surgeries were successful, but your spine is a mess".... It is an anticancer drug; a friend of ours mentioned it to me... I take 5 tabs once a week, along with prevacid and pepcid to protect stomach... is not supposed to cause stomach issues like nsaids. Sometimes it causes a bit of nauseau, but so far ginger or emetrol has handled it...
RA is really the lesser of my problem. i've been in a cervical collar for 2.5 years and a back brace for 2 years, but w/the RA lesion and massive scar tissue, the metal is shifting and they can't fix it.
can't be fixed because there is nothing to reattach to??
no... there is so much scar tissue and the lesion intertwined in my spinal cord, i was told i would definitely lose the use of my legs. My hips and ankles (also braced) and knees kill me, but I can still walk, er waddle like a duck is more like it lol

my stomach is so sensitive... i took just one dose of Actonel and vomited so much was sent to the ER to be rehydrated

my husband does the laundry, his shirts go to the dry cleaners, groceries are ordered on line and delivered

if i didn't live around the corner from my two sons and their families to keep me happy, i'd go insane
I have been disabled due to Polio when I was 11 weeks old [am now 52] and over the past 5 yrs have become completely wheelchair bound........and sometimes feel very hard done by.......then somebody like ADHD comes along and puts everything into perspective for me........I could never bear to suffer the pain that she and many others like her do.....and so young too.......and yes she's right.......if you have the right attitude....then life becomes a little more bearable!

it happened too fast. last year i went into a major depression.. the first time i'd ever experienced it andit was horrible. i will never go back there. going to the doctor's office and seeing children crippled from it puts my life in perspective and makes me grateful.
I am amazed at how manyy folks have autoimmune diseases; my mom died of cancer; my dad of complications from Wegener's Granulomatosis Syndrome...
and i am an ADHD kid, so I will never grow old in my head... i shall remain a perpetual child.

last summer i had a few "good" weeks when i needed minimal pain drugs. this winter we had some wierd pressure systems that affect OA, then flares from RA and degenerative Lyme arthritis... however.....
i have survived an auto accident that the cops on the scene who sent a fellow cop to the hospital the next day for a report came to see me and said: "My buddy swore you would be a DOA" well I was put here for a reason. ANd when i fractured my spine, i was in a wheelchair for over a year with "no legs" before a new young neurosurgeon "fixed me" and got me walking again. Again I say... I am here for a reason.
weather (particularly when barometric pressure is rising) affects how I feel immensely

2 weeks ago we had torrential rains and i was down for over a week... the weathermen said we haven't had a pressure system like it since 1992.. it was a killer suffering week!!
I am in Indiana, close to Lake Michigan, so we have what is called "lake effect"; also our county has over 100 lakes. My doc says all of his RA patients are affected by weather, and there was a study at Cleveland Clinic a few years ago that supposedly documents RA (as well as OA)... my friend with OA is affected more when pressure goes down though

she lives down south. she came here to stay for a month. i tried to help her. i talked to a counselor to try to help her... he said she has to want help. when her doctor cuts off herr drug supply, she finds another one.
sprite we get a few of those on here at times. LOL
my hesitation flask is I worked for a pharmacy for several years, and I know the side effects of some meds... I hesitate to try new ones, and I am allergic to so many... sometimes I wait too long to change meds
