my tulips & daffs are gone by the time the irises show up. I used to have some peonies that were in too shady a spot and are now cranky about having been transplanted - but, it used to be that my cherry red oriental poppies, purple & wite bearded iris, and the peonies would all be out at once - 3 big blowsy flowers. it's the best two weeks in my garden.

I missed my window of opportunity due to other events that were happening.

As far as I can see, I have two options.
I can drive it there myself from Denver to North Platte, Nebraska....
or I can try to ship it.
Thing is...it's Sunday. Not a lot of places are open on Sundays to ship

I am emotionally stuffed from weeding out 300 odd litres to um about 100 of clothes as i just had enough of them, I did buy new frillies,$15 for bra and panties very pretty and were very expensive, i mean who has $22 for one pair of undies, and $50 for a bra ok

it is babble with a twist... makes alot of things easy for those who do use the list, and also you can enter words and chat in the same box... if you don't want to use the list, you close the list, it automatically sends the words to babble and to lickety's list. I like the new feature of the extra large font
about half the time, i don't use the list, but i still use babble expert

The large font scared me at first, but now I like it. You and Lickety are sure creative.

if there is more than one of a letter, the grid takes from the highest letters first. it goes just like reading, starting at the top left corner, going across, then the next row, etc. so if a word can be made from two different letters, it will always be credited to the upper one first.

well, maybe as parenting goes, teens are worse. but if you are not the parent - if a teenager walks into a room, they might be nice and mature, or they might not. if a toddler walks into the room, you know they will get into things and be a pain no matter what.

that's the trouble, dorens, i don't think i go with the right attitude. i have such issues with church. i spent my entire childhood wanting to love God and hating going to church and suffering great cognitive dissonance as a result.

I read Brooks' Year of Wonders and loved it.
he meets up with thoreau and emerson in Concord... kind of cool (but a little hokey). have to finish the book today for book club tomorrow... so will alternate between babble, reading and gardening and nothing else

we all have crappy days...some more then others... the other advise I give my women ( am not a ocuncillor..but cuz I spend so much time with them...I am...someone they talk to ) is to make a habit of finding 1 thing..every day..be it a shape in a cloud...the way sunlight falls on a single flower....a big bumble bee...or the way the dew inthe morning catches sunlight....some little th ing that brings asmie to your face..and hold that memory for the day..even write it down...

i know you don't know me hurshy..and i won't presume to know you..but i have learned quite a lot during my disasterous marriage...my husband cheated, lied, abused verbally, wanted me to abort my third child..i stayed and stayed and stayed, trying to do the right thing, trying to please God by upholding my wedding vow..then one day it dawned on me...maybe God wanted me away from him, so i can fulfillmy potential without him weighing me down...that staying wasn't teaching my boys what it was to be a good husband and father..that i was telling them, inadvertantly that what their dad was doing was ok....i realized i wasn't happy..and no one else was happy with that..i couldn't make anyone happy if i was miserable.

hursh, I usually do not get involved in this string of chat but here is what I learned: I cheated and he forgave but I did not forget why I cheated. He was a good man, respected God and people but was not right for me. I tried really hard to convince myself that I could make it work but I was fooling myself. I left and got remarried, 3 beautiful children and a husband who makes my laugh everyday. My ex got remarried too and is very happy. I think you have to go deep in yourself and question your unhappiness... It will give you an answer. Just my two cents.

Trouble with disturbing the bed hog, as you call him, Herin, is that it often leads to him sucking or chewing swets he does not have and then the tooth grinding comes... then the sighs, then the conversations, then the arguments, then the fights (don't know which bit of me to protect then!) Sometimes, he's just restless and, although I don't get seasick, it IS like being on a ship in a storm and DOES wake me. No wonder the poor chap feels so tired when he has to get up at 5am, I've never known such an active 'sleeper'. I still love him though.
