hi sherb :)
hi sherb!
nite une :)
hi Fran :) ...I got your message through Last FM, thanks :)
:-) i wish we could get all 15 we need to get the charts going.
hi mrp :)
I'm finding it hard to work out how things work on Last FM... and it doesn't help that it's so slow...
i just downloaded the software that keeps track of what i play in iTunes. i haven't even played any music on the site itself.
You don't have to play it on the Last FM site... it automatically keeps track... your profile says the last thing you listened to was Moby... check it out... :D
yep, and the widget in our profile is even quicker, norah jones is on now.
and you were listening to the beatles.
hey
i know there are more babblers that love their music, i'm surprised no one else has signed up.
that's right... it was the 25th anniversary of Sgt Pepper recently and the BBC has a programme recreating the album using modern day artists, but with the original recording and mixing equipment...
that must have been cool, who were some of the artists?
love the pa8! my kids do that
and fireworks
yay hugs!
well done hugs :)
and no list!
woo hoo hugs!!
but it's almost 4 a.m. really should get going
night hugs!
Razorlight, Kaiser Chiefs, Travis, the Fray, Brian Adams, Stereophonics, Magic Numbers... some of them found it really tough using the old equipment...
g'nite everyone... enjoy your day/nite
night Hugs :)
i'll have to check that out, thanks sherb.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/events/60s season/documentaries/sgtpeppers_video. shtml

44 left
hahaha 44 left? nicely done, how long have you been playing today pink? i've still got 148 to go :(
dang im trying to get the new mouse working
since 8 this morning fish
*dives back into grid*
aha! a lot longer than me, i think i've been here about an hour and a bit, feels like longer though lol
it always does fish
hi all, back for the other half... is it fun?
howdy sprite
im enjoying it
sprite, its always fun!! :D
lol Fish, very true
though SOME grids.... well.....
good morning! yay, i got my wish! a big grid for a day on the couch!
can I bitch for a second? Hubby has hurt his knee yesterday, can't walk today
needs to go to the weekend doctor and he claims he can drive there by himself
oh sprite, that sucks, my hubby has a bad knee too - what has he done to it?
OWwe sprite not good
oh nooooo don't let him drive! he may think he's able to, but if he needs to brake suddenly - ouchy!!
my point exactly Fish
harharharrrr, rescue me from headstrong men
Oh and on men, my other half failed to read the new mouse instructons and wonders why it didnt work
its not him, its the other drivers on the road you have to worry about.
my hubby works at a wildwater course in his free time, had a few rafting groups yesterday
is her serious about driving when he cant even walk, he needs to rest his knee and keep something cold on it, as he has probably busted the ligaments surrounding the knee joint
(( sprite !))
yup, a sudden brake would be a problem
Hugs the sprite
hi mrp!
also... what if they put him in plaster or bandage him with almost stretched out leg? Both are possible, right?
hi feather :)
Sprite it could go from good or bad lets hope good
strange thing is, knee isn't think or red or hot, just extremely painful
so, dear gang... I am absolutely in the right if I tell him to shut up and let me drive?
*thick, not think
you never know until he gets there sprite, but chances are its a ligament damage and they'll want to put him in a restrictive bandage of some type to aid the swelling and limit the damage
yes you are sprite! grab the keys and say "we're going"
Yep tell him shut up im driving
woot feather, your icon wins the prize!
totally sprite
LOL, yes! and smack him up the side of the head of even suggesting he drive!
thanks... *goes down to tell him off NOW*
no not impossible because the bandaging will act as the ligaments in the knee joint and hold it in place, ditto fish
thanks sprite! another stid creation
YAH feather
yeah sprite, smack him as per Mr P's instructions, if you do it hard enough he may forget he wanted to drive in the first place
(joke) :)
LOLLLLL
LOL fish
hi all! {{{{mr p}}}}
hi owl
ok, we got through to his thick skull. I assumed my (what he calls) samurai position and stared him down. That was almost enough. Then I listed all your and my arguments and he was without answer :)
Hi TO
hi owl! ((hugs))!!
hi dear all!
lol, go samuri power!
samurai*
grin, yes. That is me standing, feet apart hipwide, fists in sides, verrrrry angry look ;)
you know, he only does this because he thinks I should not be burdened with this. Well, let me tell you this: I rather stretch my limits and pay the price, than having my love hurt himself without need.
((((herin)))))
don't they know they are a burden anyway if they do something as silly as drive injured... donkey brains ;)
mrP, I love you. My point exactly.
(((sprite!)))
Im back i was making real hot choc
mmm, sounds yummy
ooh yum
Morning all. mrp you have such a way with words! Lol.

Any help on the DE 8 not the rat one
add past tense of having already eaten LMC
the other de8 is when you press the de**** button to take something out...but with 2 1st vowels instead
de 7 --- game show, lets make a **** (monte hall); and consumed food
herein, then extend it again.......
or de + made happy!
I can re**** to that Flask. :-)

Hey Srabbler
hi Scrabbler!
hi scrabbler
taler
sorry typo
I have that one to
ok i'm back...got me some strawberries
Hi Lady---how is life in Australia? Hi Sprite--how are the Netherlands doing? Greenbay--are you in Green Bay, WI? And then we have Lori, Queen of Halifax.
G'd morning Scrabbler. My favorite, the re's are left for me now. You know how I love them.
When did you start, Lori? You are that close to finishing?
grown here close to my house
Mmmm, strawberry season--I love it.
Oh strawberrys how i miss them
Scrabbler its bloody cold :)
netherlands are wet and autumnlike, as usual :(
hoar
I got on aroun 8:30-ish. Didn't yak 'til I hit 191. Self discipline ya' know..... (yah, right)
Just got it before you did, Kat.
will be my birthday in about 2 weeks and I have asked for strawberries for breakfast :) Strawberries and smoked salmon.
yeap we have a farm here that grows them & you can go out to pick them
Apperently the weather has been verified by the smoker
Do you have a "summer", sprite--hot, sunny time?
TY, Lady
we do, Scrabbler. Our summer was on may 14th adn15th this year, if I remember correctly.
LOL, a short one, huh? LOL......
are you a Cancerian Sprite?
I am, pink
like moi
lol, actually we might get some more nice weeks, but right now it is rain, rain and overcast, more rain, storm...
woot for the Cancerians
its the same here sprite, wer'e getting our April showers in June
i wish it would rain here
E's and T's everywhere here
hi all...just found this game a minute ago signed up...is this played like boggle where words are made from adjoining letters?
Weres the E.T.?
*sends Katm some of the Dutch downpour*
he is phoning home, lady
it is, CsC
Welcome, CC (tough name to type)
Welcom CC
Yes, CC---must have 4 ltrs minimum
G'd morning Cs
thanks
Yes its like boggle but uses the Scrabble point system
is the dictionary pretty decent?
Hi, All
hi Pam
hi pam
The dictionary is Enabler ?
i'm in the usa, north carolina
a lot of word games i've played at, most have pretty good dictionaries while others are horrible and don't include lots of valid words
hi, sprite and herinfern
no CsC, it is the enable dictionary and that harbours more miracles than the Bermuda Triangle
Hi, and welcome CsC
Good morning, Pam! I thought of you Friday when I saw a license plate = ALEMAP (Get it?)
thanks :)
LOLOLOL, scrab!!!!!
hi again
hi carlee
gonna take a break. see you all later
i'm assuming these puzzles/rounds are on a 24 hr timer? (it says 15 hrs left on this puzzle, which is what i'm basing it on)
hi Pam, Scrabbler, Carlee, TandT and Founder
later, toad and hi, carlee
It took me a minute to make sense of it, Pam, but then I got it. Some vanity plates taked some figuring out.
Some do indeed, scrab!
Hi Carlee, Lil
Hi, pink
funny scrabbler
CC it is a 24 hour clock USA time
the time in the chat log is US Central time, CsC
Didn't we type lot of these same words yesterday?
ok, thanks for the help
Thanks Pam, I know that its 3pm Victoria Australia time daylight savings
quite a few of them scrabbler
true Scrabbler
it is a repeat grid with repeat as phantom
It's daylight savings here, too, in most of the country, but that just confuses the issue, LOL! The time in the chat is the current Central Time, whether Daylight savings is in effect or not... 8-)
lol sprite
dictionary has accepted all the words i've entered so far that i know are valid, so that's a plus...can't tell you how annoying i find it when i find a word game with a limited dictionary
LOL, sprite!
Thats true Pam what i meant is when the world is in daylight savings time i lose 2hours of play
so has everyone ordered their t-shirt yet?
gotcha, herinfern
enable will never recognize internet or clit, but it will grant you crmth, ywis, inia, etna and many more lovelies.
Well, CC, the really frustrating part is my limited vocabulary with a seemingly endless dictionary
Can someone give me a nudge on the re 5/20 please?
hey lori...long time no see
LOLOLOL, sprite!
Hi, Lori
G'd morning carlee! I'm being dedicated this morning. No. really..... :)
I like winter US and SUmmer Aus time :) get till 5pm to finish but yes off on a tangent again. Bable is universal and DrGod is the creator of this game and this game will switch over to a new one at 12midnight grid time if that helps
G'd morning pam.
*looking up dedicated in dictionary to make sure we on same wavelength*
First re 5/20 that is
lol carlee
don't have it yet Lori, sorry
i think u meant crwth, sprite, but i get what you're saying. I'm glad it does accept words like that as a lot of limited dictionaries don't accept the lesser known ones.
to devote wholly and earnestly, as to some person or purpose
Or cwm
*scratching head* really....good for you lori....
put your feet up and re*** lori
LOL carlee
that's a kind of common one to mean (cwm/s), but only because i play a lot of word games
oh yes, cwms and hisn and sinh... and you are right, it is crwth.
to me, rather, not mean
Ack! Slap me with a big fish. Thank ye muchly granny.
so how the weather on the east coast now lori?..here is glorious...wamr during day..cool at night..although we really could use rain
And rotl
i know this sort of depends on what kind of letters u get in a grid, but what's considered a good score for a round/game?
finding all the words, CsC.
The goal is to find every last word, CC
Cloudy this morn, but sun is coming out. Northern NS got hammered with a terrible thunder/lightning/rain storm the other day. it was sunny here... LOL
lucky for u then...
as soon as I can I'm going to upgrade, so I can get better stuff on here
I never get those words,,, the babblets like cwmth
probably not gonna happen, scrab, lol...but i figure i should get at least 50% of them by the end of it...i'm at around 27% right now i figure (ok, honestly i used a calculator to figure out the %, lol)
ok..hubby up time t ma ke coffee..back later..maybe
playing often teaches to remember babblets like that.
We aren't supposed to "get" them, Pam, just locate them--it is a search and destroy mission.
I get halfway and I am happy, CsC, but sometimes do more... I am not devoted to finishing
LOL, scrab
lolll Scrabbler :) But NOT my inia. I draw the line at my inia.
And, you are right, sprite
Pam--Carlee has defined DEDICATION for us already
Hello Babblers
I freakin' hate re's.
Is inia a whale, I forget?
hey lore
I have this whole list of words I know through babble, which I will never ever use in common conversation :D
teen
re 7/28 please or the re 7/32 after it? ***swearing***
Lori, you REmind us that fact everytime a grid has re words
inia is a hairy nosed dolphin :) Ywis!
Hello LoriP been missing you so great to see you again!!!
I should remember them, maybe I will, in time
Hi loredana
Hey Scrabbler
Oh, silly me, I am such a narwhal sometimes
G'd morning lore!
Hi again
don't know if any of you have played tangleword before, but it's practically identical to this game
Ooops, ro4 is actually in the grid--sorry, I used it recently as an example of a Babblet
to re teach someone, something again *make sense?*
***hoping that granny will save me on the re 7's, braces for fish***
have i said how much i hate the a's?
Hey Herin thought you were going to bed
Thank ye pink! Got it
but without the great chat community :D
yes Granny yes
Watched Surviver
no grnnymxx, you never did. Do tell! ;)

Boker tov, ARB
Hi, ARB
G'd morning ARB
*** Lori has that deer in headlights look, if "may I say it again" is the re 7 clue***
one more y to get
bye bye all
PEOPLE, Lori hates the re words and wants a clue for every damn one, STAT! Now let's get our priorities straightened out
It's my last word, and I surrendered to it long ago. I am prepared to offer a million cyber bucks, for a really blond, dumbed down clue.....
bye Pink see you soon take care
Hi Sprite, Lori, Pam, Loredana, Scrabbler and whoever I missed. Hot day in Israel today -- over 35 degrees C (about 90 degrees F)
Later pink. Take care, and have a good one!
Bye Lil
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Yikes, ARB
That is too hot for my blood, ARB
thanks lori, i will
I have a re7/32 that means being family of, but I guess that is not the one you need
what are u all talking about?
The last re 7/32, okay, 2 million cyber bucks, but that's my final offer..... :)
hi everyone! : )
hello owl
Hi, TO
hi all!
CC--go to a link below--Lickety's Babble Clues--a list of all words to find, with first 2 ltrs as clues--a guide to help us, although some call it cheating
***Puts on Sou' wester in preperation for pending fish attack***
Hi TO and Grace
G'd morning TO.
re7/32 = re = p5/12 Hi all
G'd morning Grace
Hi, FMITCH!!!!
hi mitch
Morning Babblers
Lori: put up plywood again. re + p5/12
pammy!!! youa re looking very pretty today :)
The cheque is in the mail FMitch
oh ok, i see...i'll try sticking it out without a link for now, but what does re7/32 mean?
Hi FMitch
FMitch, you may be today's big winner.
G'd morning Nono
LOLOLOL, fmitch
Thanke ye muchly FMitch, sprite etal. 175 words, I are done, thanks to you all.
Hi Nono
the word begins with re, has 7 letters, and scorestotal 32
LOL Scrabbler, woohoo drinks are on me!
*score totals
CsC: it means a word starting with Re, 7 letters long, worth 32 points
***wonders what FMitch plans to spend 2 million cybwerbucks on*** :)
Hey, I have to find 275, why do you have 175, Lori?
uh...clue for pe5/12 please? be nice to me i've had a hard day
oh ok, i gotcha...thanks, sprite
woot Lori
I have 216 to go and love the large grids....
congrats Lori!
got 151 words so far...don't know if that's good or bad, but it is kinda fun
That's because I can't type Scrabbler...... (assumed that Scrabbler knows I can't type) LOLOL
Lori - I'll fund the goodies in the penalty box for a couple of weeks and then go on vacation.
Later Cs.
sounds good to me, CsC
that's pretty ok, CsC.
I figured, Lori, but wondered if I got a bigger grid as some karmic punishment
Excellent FMitch. Very selfless. A real team player! :-)
LOL Scrabbler
Keep going CC!!
pe5/12 rhymes with a fruit
er that's pe5/16...
Scrabbler - look at my bio/flikr for pics of some frequent babblets, will try to add more as time goes by.
I tried pelon, Grace!
lol, i just found a 7 letter re word...i sorta feel special now, even if it is just in my own little world, lol
pe + the ***l world
lol CsC, finding the biggies is a kick :)
better yet. pe + I ***lly hate re words with a passion
ty ty ty.
found an 8 letter word earlier but wasn't worth nearly as much as a 7 letter word i found before that (7 letter word had the ex in it though, which is why)
*never met re words with a passion*
Way to go Cs. LOL sprite
and we all know what your favourite letter is dear spritey.
thanks :)
The points don't really matter, CC, you just have to find them all.
so there are people here who have found all 275 words already?
my favorite letter? Hm...? *looks around innocently*
It was a nice grid, except for the re's.
I'm missing a Y... have 2 4/6...
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Lori, just did it, now you have to curtsy and kiss her feet.
*giggles*
Hi Lynxxx
Grace, extend the 2nd ya 4
Hi, Lyn
lol...poor Sprite...lol
hi lynxx
lynxxx, darling... can I have a word with you? ALONE? In the dark corner behind the penalty box, please!!!?!

Later pam. Have a good one!
G'd morning lynx
Hi lynxxx Bye pam

*taps fingers on table in penalty box waiting for lynxxx)
mmm.....oh well, I must be having a VERY SENIOR afternoon....lol
bye pam
So, tell us, CC, what your name means and wh% you live.
oh right - the lady & her bunny is going to protect me!
Just wait until Haz turns up, she will have something to say about this sprite :)
now now Scrabbler, not that vicious bunny. Don't make me hurt it!
Well, in keeping with my theme for the day, of being studious and dedicated, I must get the mile long list of domestic duties caught up. :(
Uh, oh, Hazel is the ultimate Babble police. She once busted me for giving a very direct clue...Be scared, very scared.
lol Lori, hf!
Bye Lori---enjoy the day
I hate theme days. especially when it entails maturity and responsibility.
Haz is a very good friend. A VERY good friend.
Real name's Matt...the CCF name is just a name I use at several word games, with the original one being a game called Cascade. I live in Pennsylvania.
bye Lori
Lori you are very noble!
I agree, Lori, that is why I don't like working
pa? o.O
Thnaks for the re help, much appreciated, and have a great day everyone!

With good company.
I second that!
Takes up sprite's mantra and *stats mean nothing to me* oh and *I can stop whenever I want* :)
lol FMitch! Never look much at the stats, but stopping... argh... I so s*ck at stopping.
I don't even waste the breath to mutter I can stop -- I know I can't stop!
i'm within 30 now, so i can't just give up, but i'm starting to get tired...oh choices, choices, lol

Hi, Lynxxx, how goes it?
wb Scrabbler:)
Bubba - good generally, this grid - a slog
lynxxx is the one hiding behind Scrabbler's bunny
Just started have 106 words, but I'm just getting the eaasy ones, then I will go to the list'
Have fun Scrabbler. This is a medium-hard grid
Bunny Callie is chewing my pajama bottoms right now--sharpening her teeth
Whey Hey the sun has come out , that will be good for Glastonbury Festival:)
Good for you, Jean!!
decided to use the letter clue link on the bottom as i'm nearly stuck with 9 words to go, but then it made my computer freeze up for a minute, so maybe i'll just try to find the 9 remainders the old fashion way
lol it would be if I was there lol so near but so far!
asking for clues is permitted, CsC, if you lie
Or ask for clues, Matt
Lie whenever needed, sprite says so
LOLLL if you *like
but how do i know which ones i've missed or how many letters are even in them?
we have all heard of the famous Australian novel - "The Year of the Angry Rabbit" ... haven't we -Sprite?
you don't, if you don't use the list. You could see the start letters from the tile stats, maybe. Or you have to count.
Well, it would be very hard, but you could say that you need 3 Ps, and we might guess which sneaky one you missed. That is why Lickety's list helps out--we know what we are missing, besides a vast vocabulary
we have done years of babbling without lickety's, so don't worry, clueing is always possible.
My 1st anniversary is August 1st
but i don't know how accurate that list even is...i'm pretty sure it said there were only 3 eight letter words, but i have six of them on my list, so something doesn't seem right
how do you use licketys clues
yeah, I mean the 'old' gang has. We are used to counting start letters, or word lengths, and making breakdowns for 2nd letters.
There are quite a few of us Brits coming up to 2yrs in August
And FMitch has drawn a blank
didn't even notice the tile/word stats on the bottom til u just said something, lol
lickety has 6 8letter words today
oh, maybe i just overlooked it then
all the stats things have been added to the game later, when the pro thing started. Some of us have played from before all that :)
It must have been so much more challenging in the "old" Babble days
some of you have been playing a really long time then..
what do the tile stats mean? and why are some of the tile stats (like the A) listed more than once?
it is a challenging game
ooh yes. not evryone finished. or expected to. (hi again)
the tile stats represent the tiles :)
Each tile stat corresponds to the tile
WB Temple Owl:)
Ahhh the old days, I remember them. CsCd - the tiles reflect the letters in the grid above.
it was, Scrabbler, but it was also very much quieter. Not a 10th of the chat or the people back then.
TO, what are you doing about your broken-down car?
fireworks, btw
i just meant do the tile stats correlate to what a word begins with
Yahooooo Sprite!
congratulations sprite:)
Bye everyone -- time to do other things in my life!
Woohoo Congrats sprite
Hooray for my dearest friend Sprite!!!!!!!
i assume fireworks is slang here for completed puzzle?
bye ARB have fun:)
Bye ARB, enjoy the day and stay hydrated in that heat
HI all
congrats to sprite!!!***!!!
before I go - YAY Sprite
Yes they do CCF
Yay for sprite
D4/8 means: from this tile there start 8 D words, and you have found 4 so far
You actually see fireworks when pro
hi peri
When you finish you will see fireworks in the tile stats area
hi peri!
LOL @ Lynxxx
hello periwinkle:)
it used to be just an expression, but DrG added real fireworks to the grid on finishing :)
Good morning, Periwinkle
we used to give eachother fireworks in the chat, though
i asked my neighbor whi is a mechanic to look at it . i beleive it needs a starter and i am peeved. barely five years old, first forwign car, only ever had to put one starter in all of my cars and they were used.
Hello Peri
Car problems suck
gee i am typing like tweety this am!! : D
hi peri!
good morning
Hi Jane
well is 10:30 too early to begin mowing?
but i noticed on mine it says A 5/5, A 14/14 and A 7/8. Wouldn't it just be easier to have it listed as A 26/27? Or is there a reason for the 3 different A's listed that I'm not understanding?
good morning harpjane:)
hi jane
hi harpjane
This way you know which tile to start from CCF
It shows which A the word is coming from CsCd
morning everyone
I have to go, dinner to get ready and then off to work later, Hello saphyre, Happy Babbling everyone:)
Hi saphyre
hi harp hi saph
hello saphyre
Where has Scarlet been? Anybody seen her lately?
Bye jean and hi all that have jut come in.
Bye Jean
bye Jean
i don't really understand what u all mean, but i'll have to try and pay more attention next time i see it while entering words in
bye jean, yes she was here this week
lol @ the movie... some people!
help with en6 please
sprite - have you finished?
e.g. I need one D from the upper left D, and 13 from the middle D---they cannot form the same words
great icon sprite :)
CsC: it just is done this way, in order to show from WHICH A the words come.
thanks saphyre :)
peri: en + what you do with a present
just got my firat o 5\12
TO: yes :)
thanks sprite
TO, it may be a bit early to start lawnmowing, especially if teenagersor partiers are in the neighborhood and are sleeping in
well yay for you, missy! : D
na 7 clue please
grin :)
I understand what you're saying sprite, but what I don't understand is how people differentiate which A the tile corresponds to. As I said, I didn't even notice the tile stats til a few minutes ago and 2 of my 3 A's were already filled, so maybe it was shown differently and I didn't notice it.
the tile stats are in the same order as the tiles themselves, CsC.
scrabs: my teenage neighbors have worken me up after a late night studying, by playing football in their yard at 4 AM. During januray.
Then start mowing stat, TO--you owe them the favor
oh...well color me stupid then...i get it now, lol
Like we said, this game is quite humbling, Matt
I have been kept awake by my (usually very nice) teenage neighbour boys about 50 times last summer. I finally decided to ring their bell at 6.00 am, which was the time I had to leave for work. And told them that since they were so kind to share their nights with me, I would not want them to miss my morning.
Cdef, whre in pa are you?
Good work, Sprite!
they definitely got the message, finally ;)
LOL sprtie!
that's great sprite :)
detarp is not a word although it could be
of course they later argued that since I did not have their drinking, I did not have to cope with their hangovers that early either, lol
Scrabbler said a word! Naughty Scrabbs.
i thought so, scrabbler.
Good afternoon, everyone.:-)
ne 7 clue please
Where are their parents, Sprite?
hey jacs!
hi Jac *hugs*
hi Jac
Bad Scrabbler! Off to tthe penalty box to get dark chocolate goodies.
Scrabbler: their parents were on vacation at that time, hence the noise, lol.
ne7.36 ne + b***** is the study of plants - change the last vowel
sprite - we get the teenaged/early 20s music noise when neighbours go on holiday. I think it's universal.:(
Hello Jac
I haven't quite finished stocking it up yet Scrabbler, but there is plenty to be going on with thanks to my winnings from Lori
ne7 is a stupidhead word. ne + vowel = new, + 10, + only more letter.
Now I've sort of typed a word! It's catching.
I think so too, Jac. Since I like the guys, I can handle a bit of it... but enough is enough :)
Good grief, I'll work on it, ty
my neighbor is home when these things occur.
FMitch, we could help you spend your prize
darn... *only should be *one
Got it ... it is an odd word!
You saved me tons of time!
bbl
ok peeps - see you later to finish. happy babbling!
hello again
Bye TO
woot Merk! Isn't it just.
Bye Peri
bye TEmple Owl!
bye TO
'Bye peri and TO.
I am off too, have a great day/night/ whatever all of you and happy babbling.
bye temple!
...and Sprite.
Well, 129 to go, and I need to take on the day. I shall return periodically.
sprite, you have a great day too!
and scrabbler , a great day to you too!
you're all leaving just as I arrive?! :(
bye Sprite - and bye everyone else, I'm off too - have fun!
56 left he4/5 but I think I'll stay a bit longer.
Catch you later, lynxxx!
Hi Jacula!
Hi Annie, 'bye lynxxx.
Hi, LMC.
I think my foot injury is better enough for me to take a walk. I have only been biking or kayaking for the last 6 wks
later, lynxxx
hi Annie
bye lynxxx
My phantom for the day is deodorant and also deodar.
91 left ... can't believe how happy that makes me. There are days when 91 is the whole grid.
Hi saphyre, what a cute puppy
for some reason, I always have trouble with the words that start in the middle row. Today's it's the T and the R that I can't finish.
yeah she is cute - but I think I lost the battle - not allowed to adopt her
what is the 2nd letter of the words that come off the 4th column E? anyone?
harp - a.
en
N, jane
also, there's an 'en'.
thanks, jac
thanks, now about about the bottom row E's?
don't have those yet
ea, jane
...and 'ex'
Jacula, as soon as you said "ex" i saw both words
i have a bunch of EA and EX words but still nothing from those two letters.
Annie - there are 3.
time for church anyway bbl
TTFN, harp.
bye harp
bye jane, thanks jacula
the second pa 5,12 please.
Y'all are stuck on it, too? I have monkeyed every combination and cannot find it.
it's a ladies beach cover up skirt merk.
Shoot, I have a mental block.
Finally, ty
pa+ *** speedwagon
1 stinkin word to go, lol
HAv eyou found the missing word yet CsCd?
finally done...woohoo...i swear, the last 10 or 15 words were all words i thought i had already entered, but i must've typo'ed them from earlier and noticed til the end, lol
*yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn*
Congrats then CsCd Hi sleepy head :)
good job cscd
would've taken a lot longer if people didn't point out the tile/word count thing at the bottom...that, combined with checking them with my word list pretty much finished it up
thanks, all :)
sleeping so much now I've got steroids and antibiotics and I realised exactly how bad (and hard work) my breathing had got. Cough -> sinusitis and chest infection. Great! Gah!
Well done, CsCde.
ty
((Hugs)) Ata gently.
congrats CsC
cscdefounder, what's your moniker from?
cesium and cadmium? : )
Oh dear, may they do their job quickly! Hi jacs, missed saying hello when you came in earlier.
thank you! now I have tea and the remains of my birthday cake and I am happy!
Hi, Fi.
it comes from another word game i played, called Cascade...i just use the CsCdeFounder name in a lot of word games i play
Meant 'Hi FMitch' not hi-fidelity. LOL.
Think my chat is playing up
is cascade an internet game?
Ata when you wake up (no rush) can you email me your postal address please.
smaller - Yes. It's on Yahoo games. Here's the url: http://tinyurl.com/2xy9zc
whhhhheee! sure.
cascade is fab
uh oh, i sense an immenent additional addiction
I like 'Wordo'.
Don't get too excited, it won't be quite on the same par!! Oh BTW meant to ask - why do you need 25 x A2 sheets?
hi all
Hello, annotherone.
text twist is fun to
Hi anno
thought you were referring to the cascade word game jacula
hi anno
hi guys
hi golfer
Yup, play text twist, too. And 'bookworm', 'writer's block', 'weboggle' etc.
hi FM, jac, green, golf
to mount up pics in my super cool new portfolio
Don't think I've tried the 'cascade' word game. I must look for it.
Ah excellent, you got a new one.
I love word games - especially tangleword and cascade over at the iwin site
...no more games please...
well, its on order :)
its not a wonder that we have an excellent vocabulary after all these word games
sherb - LOL.
...I don't have enough time for Babble as it is...
Lots of reading to do if we take up everyone's icons from today: 'currently reading'.
tangleword at iwin.com is exactly the same as this game except that you have to find as many words as possible in 2 mins against a room full of other players
this is a more relaxing version
Afternoon sherb.
like wordracer at yahoo then
yes very similar
afternoon FMitch :)
but you play against a room of about 30 usually
clues anyone? I need all of the pa's after the 5/14.
sorry, all...was in a different word game
just wondering about opening lickety's so don't know what's where yet
Good afternoon all.
to answer the question i saw...cascade is a free word game over at www.iwin.com (tangleword which is exactly like this is over there too, including a bunch of other word games)
You can play against others at Scrabulous (on-line Scrabble) or play solo, or against a computer which uses all those daft scrabble words.
Hello, Hazel.
that's the one I thought we were on about then realised that we weren't cs
big cascade fan myself
Hi Haz good to see you :)
refresh for my current book. well, I've just finished it. and for anyone that likes art or colour ... its *amazing*
Babble's the best!
hi haz!
ohh, i didn't know the theme! i'm dressed now!
Hello Jacula, FMitch et al. Time to get busy!
do u play cascade, annother, and if so, what's your name there?
hi Haz :)
I started off so well on this grid - raced through the first half but now I've ground to a halt
ooo, ata, tell me about the book
pa 4/5 PLEASE! I'm pulling my hair out.
Hello sherb - enjoying the weekend?
I'll swear there's words it takes sometimes but not others
LMC - which pa4/5?
any of them!
LMC there are 4 of them do you know which one?
oh, is wonderful. Derek Jarman wrote it while he was losing his sight, and its kinda autobiographical but many a tribute and a hymn to the colours of the world
enjoying the weekend... but not the weather... cool and wet...
actually, I have window **** and **** an apple.
oh wow, thanks
lovely picture HAz :)
pa4/5 - a short form of a trooper who jumps from a plane.
Haz and hubby relaxing in the shade
Bit of a shame! Still, you can babble happily and let the rain do its worst. The pic is my kind of picnic....
that was meant to say "mainly a tribute"!
pa4/5 - Catherine Pa** (one of Henry's 6 wives).
thanks!! i think of that as a spanish word - forgot you can use it in english too.
mine too... what's the sense in roughing it....
Exactly, sherb.
...I just look at the scenes at Glastonbury and think I'd rather watch on telly....
They should use Glastonbury people on detergent adverts.
LOL :D
anyone know why exeat isn't allowed?
as in taking an exeat from school? or is that just boarding school slang?
cuz it's not a word is my guess, lol
never even heard it used as slang before
the two don't necessary follow LOL
Not slang at all Ata, just good old enable being ... enable
Ata - one of the vagaries of Enable.
oh good. not just me then!
I think it might be a British word, I was at boarding school so know it well
It's maybe because it's not in common parlance. it does take the latin stage direction exeunt...
It isn't slang. It's a proper term for permission to be absent or la4/4. Literally means 'let him out'.
but as i search for it online, i realize it is indeed a word, so nvm on previous statement, lol
Good afternoon Babblers :)
*sigh* enable is strange!
we used to live for exeats, so I was hoping it was a real word!
hifofle
hi foffle
Hello, foffle.
afternoon Foffle
hi green, Atalante, Jac
just the weather for a Bable session
going to take a break...thanks for the tips/help and introduction earlier...take care, all

biiiig surprise!
hlo
hurshy!!!!!
*wasn't that is
hi ata, how's you?
tired ill shaky but have a purring cat right next to me so the world is well :D
hi hurshy, how's everything going?
hmm, everything is... going... i dunno. life is very confusing.
i guess that's better than boring :)
life is never easy ...
i'd ruther it would not fluctuate between confusing and boring though. pleasant would be good for some of the time.
can anyone clue the re7/32 please
that's true
it'll get there, de**
I have 2 Nono, which one
not the relative one
re + pa5/12
ty pab!!
yw
don't know why i couldnt see that!
taking break for lunch, bbl
starting to think about dinner, we're going out to a new-ish Moorish restaurant in Canterbury - have a look if you like that sort of food, it looks amazing! www.cafemauresque.com
that sound good alante
I have never had moorish food
doesn't it!
I love any middle eastern food. its never as good over here, but still ...
Off to do some gardening. I'll bbl for my final 18. Happy Babbling!
bye Jac!
Bye Jacula.
by Jac
afternoon everyone
hi ren
That is a great menu, had pressed to find anything I don't like! Hi ren8
I know! same here. I am *really* looking forward to it
Looking forward to your review of the evening.
hello ladi and FMitch
what if life never gets any better? there's really no reason it has to.
Can I get some help with the pr7's? I only have the one that rhymes with a herd of cows.
odds are it will though...
what if life never gets any worse?
how do you calculate odds for such a thing?
experience...
hELLO
Hi Peri
oh my gosh! peri with a new icon!
hurshy, given what you're going through right now, trust your Babble friends on this: life will get better, and your feelings sound pretty normal for right now. If, however, you are struggling to even get to work these days, you might want to check into anti-depressants or short-term talk therapy. I suggest this only because I've been there, and did both when I needed it. (( hugs Hurshy ))
see! life gets new and exciting already!
Hello peri.
:D
hi peri :)
i'm on anti-depressants. i'm not struggling to get to work. i was in therapy for two or three years already.
Good for you! Then you already have some tools to help. The rest will come with time, friend :)
thanks. i hope so.
and enjoy the small things that seem unimportant. driving over the cool bridges to work, peri's new icon ... they can bring smiles to your face
of course, you could always go back to your husband and be unhappy there ... does that seem like a worse option?
i don't know. if i'm unhappy either way, what does it matter, really
but which way has more potential for future happiness?
neither seems to have much potential right now
why not? what could make your life better at the moment?
Hurshy, you probably know this already, but separation / divorce is one of the top three major life changes that put us at risk for episodes of life threatening depression, major illness, and so on. It's SO important to use every tool we can, including extra gentleness with ourselves, extra treats, extra counseling, and lot of friends. We're always here to listen and send babble hugs {{ }}
we should just talk about words. i don't want to keep bringing down the chat room mood.
It's okay with me if you share how you're doing. We've all needed each other at one time or another for a little extra boost :)
my husband just visited for a couple of days. he just left so that's why i'm emotional right now.
And I doubt any Babbler is shy about asking for clues or talking about words in the midst of chat :)
good morning all
ahhhhhhhhh. that explains a lot!
whose idea was that?
It sure does, Ata ... Hurshy, I'm sending a special prayer and hug your way.
both, actually. he's going on a big road trip and he said he'd like to visit before that. i had been thinking it would be good for him to visit, anyway.
oh yes, school holidays now? where's he off to?
hello babblers
hi pink!
hi pink
hi pink
does anyone have a clue for wh6/39 please?
he's going to visit his brother, help his mom with a conference - that's all in the midwest - then drive out to california, visiting various national parks, see his sister and some college friends out in CA, drive up the pacific coast, and then back, hitting more national parks on the way.
hi flosey, ch1212 and greenbayladi
Can anyone clue ANY of the pr7's? The only one I have sounds like a herd of cows.
wow that really is atrip!
wh6/39 - start of question then start of bread type -- ends with sometimes vowel
thanks ch
yes, i think it will be nice for him.
wh6 = a small rowboat
thanks pigeonman, not familiar with that word but will work on it
pr7? Any of them?
pr7/32 - builds on pr6/21 - a South African plant, sounds like one in favour of an ENglish beverage.
thanks ch and pm, got it
pigeonman, what are you pr****ing on about? :)
pr7 romulan empoeror
pr7/32 - one in favour of the ending given to cigar
pr7 is some kind of ruler too... sounds like before tardy though
thanks for wh clue got it
pr7/32 - a Roman government offical? A before prefix, coming in after hours.
there's a nice pr6/36 too
really if you have a person who collects a tariff you should be able to have the person who pays it...
do all the start ya?
2 big piles of laundry, do you think if I left them alone long enough, they would make their way to the washing machine
only need one
Thanks all. That got all of them except the next to last one. Any more clues?
they might, peri, but they'd be awefully scary by that time.
Back for a break between chores--my laundry required assistance into the washer, Peri.
LOL jes, guess I am off do do laundry then, bbl
bye peri
is it the server or my connection?
server, I think
Must be the server having trouble
pr7,32? The next to last one?
jes, if you see someone called elegaer having added you as a friend on LJ, it's me :)
oh, alright :) that'll save me some confusion, thanks!
and you watch gearworld and ursula vernon too! yay!
I don't have it yet either, pigeonman
only 'cuz ursula is about the coolest thing walking ;)
oh yes, she is
i'm so excited... i get one of the grab bags, and i can't wait to see what's in it!
oh you are! wooooot! how exciting!
I have a really old gearworld print of hers in my study :)
Have to go - back later, perhaps. Have a good day everyone.
bye Haz!!
re7,28? Pretty please?
bye haz
to gain knowledge again
Haz, just got your pr clue - was going in wrong direction - thinking of the piece they cut off - lol
i hope she starts gearworld working again after she moves... but she's got so many other things going, i guess that'd be a miracle
yeah ... can't see that making a return any time soon, unfortunately. I love gearworld
did you find her Irrational Fears comic?
ooooh don't think so. haven't read all of Digger either. one day ...
Off to do more cleaning--BBL
Flosey. Can you clue it please?
oh, the digger archives are SO worth the $3. and you should search for the irrational fears... it's sort of a work in progress, but i think she's only posting complete chapters and only when she gets around to it. so it's always at a decent stopping point.
275 and Fireworks!
not that you WANT it to stop, mind you.
wtg Nanette
I will! I don't dare get into the Digger archives LOL
Nanette. Can you clue the next to last pr7, or the re7,28?
yay nanette!
do all the y's start with ya?
you don't dare? why not?
cos I'll spend *far* too long reading them!
Yes they do. Same first 3 letters.
i clued re7/28. to gain knowledge again.
that's ok :) they go fast. i read the whole thing over one weekend
thanks hurshy. Didn't see the clue. How could I miss that word?
ohhhh thats not toooo bad then!
nothing like a little peer pressure.... you know you wanna! ;)
3 to go. I need a short break. Thanks for the clues.
*groan* I know!
pr7/32 sounds like the nutrient in meat
be a good time to do it if she takes another hiatus to move
Nanette. I need the pr7 just before that one.
thats very true. she's sooo productive
pigeonman, sorry, just reading back, missed your request
did you get it?
ok, totally brain freezing on second al5,10
cant get the last one
No flosey. Can't make that next to last pr7 jump out at me.
pr7/32 pr (for something) + ending of the thing people smoke
just al*** the first al*** :P
Wow. Thanks for that one. I NEVER would have found it. :-)
d'oh! thanks ata. i think i'll have salmon for lunch today...
nor I without the clue
Jes. My wife caught a 35 pound King yesterday. Her first one.
WOW, pigeonman! I used to go salmon fishing as a kid on the Columbia and Snake... never caught one that big, though
yummy :)
We live in Alaska. That's a good size one. Nowhere near the biggies though.
my dad, uncle, grandpa, and uncle's friend (and for one summer, my brother) used to spend the summers fishing for the canneries. they'd each bring back about 70 pounds of fish at the end of the summer... BIG barbeque
te6,21? The last one please?
I've been to alaska before a caught a 100 lb halibut
Sad thing is, I live three miles from a river with pretty good salmon runs, and I don't really like the taste of salmon. I do like to catch them though. Strictly catch and release.
Kat. Was it out of Valdez, Seward or Homer?
good for you, pigeonman -- I'm in the same boat, so C&R it is for me too. Usually trout though
wonder how marty would feel about a halibut that's 10 times his size...
are all the y 4 letters?
i like to eat them. i don't particularly like fishing, and i really don't care for cleaning them... but that's ok, because my friend likes fishing and doesn't like eating them :)
no, one of the y's is 6
no, kat -- one is a ya6/24
can someone please help me w/ de8/50???
halibut is good, espically when you beer batter it
Anyone care to clue the last te6,21?
I like gutting them. but I'm weird.
ok clue please, got the 2 4's
ok, now i really am getting hungry. time to start simmering rice i guess. back in a sec.
there are 2, sugar... one means past tense of removing rodents
add an ending onto the second ya.
other builds off the "Let's Make A De**" in a family way
The person who does it.
ya6 - must be a babble word, as in perhaps, one who ya4/6
ok so two de8, pa8, te8, what else?
Pulling my hair out. Can't make that last te6,21 show itself.
na8
te6/21 ends like a city in ohio
thanks ata
That did it Hursh. I don't think I've ever seen that word. Thanks.
ah, good clue hurshy
Ohio? Whats in Ohio LOL
John Denver's old song, Ata ... "Saturday night in To****, Ohio, is like being nowhere at all..."
"Go down to the bakery and watch the buns rise..."
depending how you pronounce it, i spose you could make te6/21 sound like a french twist or a ponytail
Boise? No thats Idaho. Um. *thinks about lyrics*
oh I know. worms.
LOL! We used to sing the lyrics substituting Boise, Idaho when I lived there!
hey I'm a Brit :) at least I've heard of Ohio :P
Good Afternoon -how many words

yes, i have the food e's.
3 ex?

aha, the other left is a person who makes happy
yes, 3 ex
now for the bottom middle
ex5, to place on the sacred table at the front of the church. then add verb endings
probably en...? i don't see any of the usual ee suspects
not en
back... ho6,27 please?

what e's are you looking for?
ho6, to make much more warm. past tense.
i'm looking for the bottom middle one
like my side e one... hmmm...
well that's a silly word. thanks gwen
um. i don't know what words come off which e...sorry.
I have an ho6/27 that pertains to units of time, like a book called an "Ho****"
hello, bottom middle e is someone who is employed
ah thanks kukana
silly words am my bidness LOL
ch, i don't get your clue about the units of time
finally got the last y, took me a min, like I said i'm slow, but was also finding other words in the process
yeah all i can think of is hour
builds on your Spanish word for hour, hurshy
i don't speak spanish :(
i know the spanish word for hour, so those are the first four letters?
got the e 7 also without help...I'm amazed at myself
hey jes!
oh
yes, your ho4/5 word is SPanish for hour
then add part of a type of bread -- first 2 letters
ho6 like a degree you didn't really ea4, without the "no"
yes, nut? how're those roaches?
ah, thanks, got it
ahah! thanks, hurshy :)
delicious jes...crunch on the outside, gooey on the inside.
I was trying too hard to be cryptic :) Thanks, hurshy
thanks for trying, ch, sorry i'm slow ;)
we're all slow, hehe
shiny. hey, nut, did you see that article a while back about making "living jewelery" by putting sparklies on the backs of roaches and wearing them as jewelry?
oh rats i still have another E! from the upper right, i have sea wearing at land words - 2 of em... anyone know what the other is?
jes.. that was on an episode of CSI or Law & Order, I can't remember which
no way jes! that's brilliant, but what if your sparklies up and walk away to decorate someone else?
en6
do you have the en+wr4?
90 words& 185 left to go....oh goody
i think they were glueing a short chain, like for a necklace, to the carapace and you clip that to your jacket
thanks guys, that do be it
now i have 238 words :)
Hi, all.
Could I have a clue for the first al5/10?

There is supposed to be someone in the office from 12 to 4pm on Sun so people can put more money on the card. I was there at 12:40 and no one home. No note on or the door or anything. Hurshy, my answer is yes
dont know hursh thats odd
ooh that pushes us to 60/40
odds just bumped up for you hurshy
coffee time
then i'll chime in with a yes, if that helps
the more people answer, the more accurate the results will be
but it COULD be biassed, people who are happy might be more likely to answer, others might not like to admit it, even to themselves.
one s or two? biased? that looks better.
I think it is 1 s
plus, everyone has a different definition of happy, you need to operationalize your definition!
biased. and, perhaps babblers are a happier people in general. the population could be biased.
i don't need to operationalize. happiness is in the eye of the beholder, that's ok with me.
of course, since you're a babbler, perhaps that doesn't matter as much
gotta scoot, be back soon. Hugs to all
bye mom
Bye Mom
i wonder what some of the people dealing with medical issues for them or their relatives would say.
so your results will be how many people feel they are happy, rather than how many people fit some definition you have in mind, which is interesting too

yes, paypal is the easiest way to pay
o.k. since it seems to be going to someone with the same 1st name as me I guess that is o.k.
what if you see the same word twice, can u use it twice?
is there anyway to get hints and whatnot or to reshuffle the words
no - only once
because i keep seeing the same things over again
a good help page is angelsong - you can find her website at the bottom of the grid
No reshuffle.
which dictionary does it use
enable dictionary
Enable word database.
you can try tipping your head sideways.... sometimes i see new things if i switch to a different page for a while and come back too.
yes jess - that's the mamabear way of looking at the grid - you know how bears are
why not click on HELP above the chat for a beginning of how it works
re5/10 first?
on re6/21 what is soaked flaxx
i read the help... it wasnt much help though... i understand the game, just a little impatient i guess
re + psat tense of consume , change last vowel
how do u add an image to your name

Congrats, peri!!!

flax is a plant, that you can make cloth or rope from the fibers of. ret means to soak the stems to soften them and separate the fibers so that they can be spun or woven.
so the flax i soak in skim milk before i eat it should not be ea*** - rather i should weave it and we** it?
lol, ren
kinda like a snack on the back?
well, unless you're on one of those diets wh*** you eat things you can't digest... or you have a rumen. ;)
oh wait - we're suppose to digest our food? ah ha - kaching! light goes on......
tecno, the icons also have a theme, the list of themes is kept by Babbler Babbler. I have added her name to my friends list, so I can access it quickly. Today's icon theme is "Reading", tomorrow's is "Music" most recently heard
a rumen, is that like 2 stomachs?
oh, so I can't be a dog every day?
technogrrl, you can be whatever you like any day! some people never change their icons, some do occasionally.
Hi, Tecnogrrl, you pro! You can be a dog if you want to.
the rumen is the big fermentation-vat portion of a cow's digestive system... it's why they can live on coarse grass and brush and we can't.
ren dear -- why are you in the bahamas? texas not hot enough for you?
hi, stid
hi all
fireworks
hi stidma
dear
shooot, sorry again!
yayay tecno!!!!! - hey ya stid
YAY knight!
yes, you can, you dont have to follwo the theme. Soemtimes it is great fun to see how many ships, or cups or anything we manage to show in the icons. Right now there is a run on icons designed by babbler Stidmama, she did mine and many of the others with large letters in them
yayayay knight!!!
ra 5/12 (second)? My brain's not working today.
so how tough is this? we just got done visiting with hetty and her hubby again...
Congrats, Knight!!
Gee, speak of the devil!!! Hi Stidmama
not a really tough one, stid, just long because there are so many words.
now to do the sunday xword puzzle
good luck all
*adjusts horns* hello inge! *wicked laugh*
Bye Sir Knight
okay jes, I'll just play until the tiles start to dance...
later knight!
There is a new kid on the block, tecnogrrrl
ra5/12 is the past tense of the ra4 before it
hello again all
I am telling stid who you are, tecno
ty, ty, ty
so I see! greetings, hail and well met, technogrrl!
ty, jes!
Hello feather and perci
hi feather! how's daniel? how's percy? how's everything? LOL
hi, feather
we're all good! just relaxing for a few minutes before dinner
hows your footie feather?
my foot's getting better i think, yay
I am not good at this, have some minor brain function probs and am trying to expand
hmph. Just saw how many 7s there are.... makes the two I found spontaneously a little less special! :-)
footie? is our feather hurt?
either that or i'm getting used to it!
that's why I started playing too techno -- you'll improve and it will seem easier (and then you'll get a grid and NOTHING seems easy...) :-)
I lent out my husband to our daughter in Cleveland. For for days I have nothing to do but babble and water his plants (5hours worth)
yeah, last week closing up the classroom, on my feet too much from wed. to fri. thursday night, had a foot cramp, or did something, no clue what. friday ball of my foot to the big toe killed, yet i had to be on it all day again. been limping since friday.
tecno - my dr jung told me to do this - so i did and still refilled my xanex rx
oh boy inge! that sounds nice and quiet...
great, glad to hear stid, mine is med related so hopefully will get better
you lend your hubby out? does he do yardwork?
oh feather *holds out ice pack, footstool, crutches and chocolate bar*
oh ren, that's so nice to hear!
i wrapped it for a while today, that seemed to support and help it. i'd decided if it wasn't better by tomorrow i'd call the midwife, but i think i've turned a corner since this afternoon's nap
chocolate! *POUNCES*
//P-/...aye!!!
when I came from the OH turnpike there was this huge deer standing in our yard, feeding on pen's plants and looking at me with that "I was here first " look
i've also been a good girl today and been off it as much as possible
ok, down to my last 35. haven't asked for many clues yet, so here i go!
oh oh inge, that sounds like WAR! *grin* I am just barely keeping plants alive in the garden this year... hope to have a little more time for yardwork now the kids are out of school.
go feather go!
the middle al5/10 please? and a fish to go with it probably
hey, feather try wrapping the foot in chocolate!!!
feather -- to change? sounds like a table in the front of a church
what a waste of chocolate that would be! lol
nope, above that one please
for the middle al5, you should al*** the last al5 by one letter :)
I don't have one before that (no list yet)
The middle al5 is in a church
oh. the church table then.... thanks jes!
doesn't just >sound< like the table at the front of the church, it IS
working on that jes
wait, am i al***ing the last letter, or just one somewhere inside it?
ho5/12 (last)?
OK have to check out the garden, first run!
*should visit a church more often, then might know these words*
second vowel is different feather
oh you've gotta be kidding me. *hides in shame*
you're al***ing the vowel next to the last letter. words sound the same but have different meanings
*hands feather chocolate fish*
chocolate fish? where on earth do you find that?
my next one i'm stumped on is a 5/10 again....don't wanna ask!!!
like the table in a church the other al 5 is in a church
HA, got it.
ho5/12 is where you stay the night when you're out of town
well, fish covered in mole sauce.... chocolate on everything!!!!
ty, Jes
whew, past the As.
i've never tried fish mole. rather like chicken mole though :)
I've never had any mole. Would give it a try, though.
welcome, jellen. sorry it took so long, i almost missed you asking.
de5/12, the one after the bug spray please
this is very annoying.
what is hursh
What is, hurshy?
boy, without my "feather" B, i can't see myself in chat!
mole is wonderful. When we have some left over, I like it on bread for lunch
feather, i'm not sure which one you mean by bug spray
de + rodent, feather
oh, wait...the de4 bug spray :)
trying to buy songs from the previous season of american idol and it says "this is no longer available"
de5 is get rid of the vermin
it's a de4/5, that is in bug spray. i need the 5/12 after.

lol, yeah
it's raining again.... *sigh* so dark in the house when it's raining
candles, stid?
i think they are trying to make you buy a whole album. it has 76 songs for 30 bucks. but i only want like 6 of them.
do 5/12 (first)?
i am Irked
sounds like a to5 word meaning sum
ty, jes. You're my hero.

and it's getting windy. I hope hetty and her hubby will be okay, driving up 101 to Pt. Townsend this afternoon... *worry worry*
thanks for that one too jes!
does the second de8 build on the de7 before it?
is icky on coast up 101 today stid, could be rainy by now
I am having trouble finding E words... have found over 100, but all three E tiles are untouched!
heee :") i don't get to be a he4 very often
yes feather. past tense
now it's hailing! *worry worry worry*
i'm ON itunes. it's being mean.
oh no. Are there cookies in the penalty box?
stid, you're looking too hard. ea's for making money, one who makes money, and having hearing
sure jes? there are two de8s, the one i have is already past tense. the next de7 is past tense, and then there's a de8 after that.
i always least a stash there jelle - one must be prepared
Thanks, ren
yes, both 8's are past tense. one is past tense of the 7, the other is past tense of the5 you just asked about (rodent one)
wow. there's five of them all in a row! thanks jes, you are a he4!
ohhhh, needed to double the one letter in there. thanks! sorry!
ok, gotta go get dinner, bbl!
aww, shucks. t'wasn't nuttin'.
does anyone know WHY itunes won't let me buy songs? they have "buy song" buttons but then i click them and it says not available. only for this past season of idol.
you mean besides "because itunes sucks?" nope, sorry...
later feather!
grrr
naw, itunes works fine...but the servers have been overloaded lately
sorry. maybe try a different source? not emusic though--the selection there sucks.
i can download other things. just not this season of idol. so i don't think it is the server.
try the individual songs if you know the names, hurshy
okay, taking a break. back on later to get a few more (and use the list...) thanks for all the help!
a person who sells real estate, that is not a word?
no, because it's a proper noun
ho 6/24? *hoping it's not fish worthy*
ho 6/24 past tense of not cold
hurshy, have you tried downloads.americanidol.com?
Tecno, you can't reach the e from the r you need to start on.
ty, jes
no, i haven't, thanks DS, i will
wow, I had no clue past tense of getting cold was a word
yeah, me either until earlier today
I'm gonna go do that in an hour or two
it's one of those non-words, that one
looks like you can only get jordin and blake
la 6/18 (first)?
darn. I'll ask around here to see if anyone knows another source.
la6/18 la + adolescent
ty, jes.
if you exit and come back later, will your words all be there?
yes, Tecno
yep
yes, tecno.
thanks all
wow, a 7/52 word!

yw..easy to miss lil' words in a big grid like this
what you do on a post, jellen?
What?
are the grids the same size every day?
No. They vary widely.
This is a pretty big one, in my limited experience.
I am back to find some more words. Welcome to Babble Land, tecnogrrl!! I see that you became addicted quickly--found us and went pro on the same day.
well, yah, looking for something to drag me away from my ipod
This is an all-consuming addiction, but also a fun game and a great social network
i agree scarbbler.
greenbayladi, do you actually live in Green Bay, WI?
hi
Hi cubs
hi, cubs
Ok, stop trying to justify your addiction to you rsister
that was for Freundin Scrabbler
She will NEVER accept this place, Inge, she thinks we are all sick for sitting in front of a computer. Yet, she enjoys going to casinos to donate her hard-earned money, and I do NOT get that.
Guten Abend, Inge. How was your day?
I still remember Lickety's comment of months ago: where else will people from all over the world go searching for ONE lousy word
Me either, Scrabbler. We have a bunch of tribal casinos here. All flourishing.
scrabbler..no i live in new york..
Aha, greenbay--are you originally from WIsconsin?
Well, I handed my husband to our Cleveland daughter, Babbler Anya, and now have to take care of his plants beside babbling and swimming. When I complained, he said: but you dont have to cook supper for me!!!
Enjoy the solitude, Inge.
no.. I chose my usename because I just like GREENBAY PACKERS
OK, I get it now, GBL
I am doing the re's now--NOT saving them for last this time.
Did you finish, Inge? I have been doing it in bits through the day--my favorite way to enjoy Babble.

Well, good is good, LOL

Hi techno

Andree, pr+ 4th vowel + french feminine ending
pr7= paid player + feminine suffix
let's see... in a nutshell, I've got a trip to the scottish highlands this summer, in august, I've started brewing my own beer, ran into an old flame, but it seems that things aren't working out there, again.
got myself out of debt!!! :-D
I'm gonna have to get off of here we got a bad lifhting stoem coming
good luck kat... sounds relaxing :)
Yay for brewing, going to scotland, and getting out of debt. Sorry about the old flame going dim...
yeah for being out of Debt! bummer about old flame, and can i carry your luggage in Scotland?
I love storms...
hehehe
be safe Kat
oops lighting storm
yeah for being out of debt is right!!! what a weight!
pr6= paid player + ***m (sports group); for the 7 add a consonant
the old flame? ehhh... I dunno... I mean, we randomly ran cross each other again, gave it a shot, but she does live a few hundred miles away
and sure, I could always use a porter when I travel ;)
me to it's that they like to fry my computer
pr6, paid player + not coffee, then add single hump for the 7
sorry, i meant... what a weight lifted off my shoulders... my brain is going faster than I can type ;)
WEll, sorry it didn't work out, but I am sure that someone will some day!!!!!
lol i understood smooth
lol pam... that's what they say.... we'll see

smooth? thought you died or something.

ahh, some young sweet thing will cross your path and be swept off her feet by you smooth.
I need to heed my own advice, smooth
NUTSTER!!!
that's odd, I was just thinking the same about you. ;)
heh... dawg, i've swept a few up already
hi smooth -- long time no see :)
I need a sweet close to middle aged young thing, LOL
i bet you have you smooth talker! ;-)
brb
hey nan! how's life?
Though, maybe I don't, LOLOL
HA!
We're looking for the same thing, Pam!
not bad --- getting ready for grandchildren's visit and son's wedding next month.
LOL, Jellen
cool! congrats on the wedding
I just photographed my first one last month
putting ideas in your head ;)
How'd that go, Smooth
And, Jellen, I say that's what I want--maybe--but it might be a bit too soon....
it went well. It was a good friend of mine from college. So since it was my first one, I insisted that he hire a pro with experience... i didn't want to screw anything up, and damage our friendship...
so I played second fiddle, but got some fantastic shots
EXCELLENT!!!!!
Smart thinking, smooth
as it turns out, mine turned out better than the pro's... that guy was YOUNG!
i don';t think he's started shaving yet. lol
ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!! That is just PERFECT smooth
hehehe
lol
AL 6/21
of course if anyone would like to see them check here:
http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e309 /smooth_pappa/
of course, the 1st 8 aren't wedding shots, but the next 300 or so are. lol
I should get your advice on a new camera --- my digital is about 6 years old but is eating up battery power so I think I need a new one before the next big trip. I like the convenience of a small pocket sized camera but the new ones my friends have don't take as clear a picture as my old beater (olympus)
wow! that's an old camera!
al 6, 21 same as el 6,21 but change the first letter
what sort of price range are you looking at?
mine have all been Olympus, year old 1 is a small stylus 800, 8 megapixal
or you can email me if you'd rather discuss in private
love it
thank sk47
I just dropped some $$ on a Nikon d80 - it's really good...
olympus has some good point and shoots!
Almost $1000, though
Would like to keep it under $1000 if I can.
so many words I didn't know are words
oh yeah... but SLRs are so great! so much versatility.
love my kodak easy share
nan...I got a new olympus about 6 months ago...pocket sized...GREAT pictures. Martha (angel 13136) took some really good pictures with it...and it is waterproof and shock proof
well, then you've got a LOT of options, nan
this olympus was like 350 but is probaly down to 250 if they make it anymore
I have an older Sony, with a Zeiss lens... I realise that the newer ones are lighter, smaller and have more megapixels... I love mine, though...
battery lasts forever, I can take more than 500 shots at a charge
I'm definitely a point and shoot photographer, but like a decent lens. The problem I see is that most of the pocket cameras don't have a large enough lens.
I'm a fan of canon, myself, but all major manufacturers will give you a good point and shoot for $450+
That's what I need tecno
and I mean good!
The one I have now has a Zeiss lens
i love my fuji

neato isn't in there? what's up with that?
I urgently needed a few days off work, But, I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave. I thought that maybe if I acted "Crazy" Then he would tell me to take a few days off. So, I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb, So, that the Boss might think I was "Crazy" and give me a few days off. A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked, "What in the name of good GOD are you doing?" I told him I was a light bulb. He said, "You are clearly stressed out." Go home and recuperate for a couple of days." I jumped down and walked out of the office... When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, the Boss asked her, "...And where do you think you're going?!" She said, "I'm going home too, I can't work in the dark!!
