the e is in the wrong place for a lot of words tonite nan lol
im 8 & 9
come off it. clues are whenever anyone want s to give them.
yes, babrab -- it's a bit silly, but there are some who take pride in finding the biggies by themselves with no help and dolts like me mustn't spoil their fun
thanks joey
catcher in the rye author in puzzle. cool.
I always thot clues started an hour after the flip... silly me
*gasp* no! there are strict rules! all must obey! and by 3 hours in, Haz will be here to reinforce them ;)

my kind of vacation
treated myself on one book for each vacation day! And I have a couple of sudoku books... and a jigsaw... and my knitting. Even if hubby and kids are going canoeing for a couple of days there, I will totally enjoy myself.

my favorite vacations have included "vegging"
still nice you found them, justafreep, and listed them first ;)
only an s missing from orgasmic. drat.
lol ata
that borders on criminal, Ata
'vegging' Dee? Let me guess: pretending to be a vegetable? A couch potato? Dolce far niente and not feeling guilty about it? :)
exactly!

good eve arb happy babbling
boker tov, ARB
hey ARB :-)
hi ARB
Boker Or Sprite. It's a hot one in Tel Aviv this morning -- over 35 (at 9 a.m.) with humidity of over 70%.
must go sleep -- night all
nite jilli sweetest dreams
Hi Dee, Une, Kiwi, and anyone I missed
ooooph, sounds bad, ARB. They promised us the first decent day in weeks here, with some sun and almost no rain and temps around 25 degrees Celsius.
yaaawwwwn *poof*
woohooo i hit 100 found lolol this is a struggle
already a struggle at 100 Kiwi? That bodes ill!
ohhh sprite send some of that here lol we are struggling to make double figures in the celcius range lolol
taking a break for a bit. see you guys later
You haven't had the European heat wave, I gather, Sprite
see you later mari
no, we have the north-european eternal autumn here, ARB! Rain, storms, hail, thunder and more rain.
lol Kiwi
bye mari
oh i see barts mom is in the list tonite lol
send the heat keep the rain sprite lol
I'd love to excape to that -- our Tel Aviv summers are HOT and HUMID
I bet ca7/8 have been called already
same here, ARB
ca 7 x 3
mine was a compound, hence the pride :)
Une, I suspect your summer weather is not much different than mine.
lol I soooo understand that
I have to say, heat and humidity don't sound appealing to me either. Though this sh*tty summer is not pleasant either.
sweltering, Sprite
ca7 x 4, ca8 x 2
ho hum i got 123 now lol
mi10
thx uni & just
phantom: satiric

pink... sounds spanish to me
hiya spell hiya pink happy babbling
am I allowed to clue yet pink?
magline
i didn't know there were "time regulations" on cluing
discussed earlier... I'll be glad to help if okay with the group
dont worry
ok i give up - time for the clues list lol
I slowed down with 117 to go... I am going there too kiwi
as long as they are good clues, I don't mind ;)
I think its always fine, Dee. Just not 5 minutes after the flip!
hi all, as I remember, clues were ok after first hour, is that it?
k pink... ca + plural of a lady's name
EXCUSE ME WHAT THE HELL! time regs with clues
that is what I thot flosey but earlier someone said 3 hours
just common sense, herin
settle petal lol that "discussion" hit the chat again earlier lol
didn't want to cause a problem :~)
I thought that was someone making fun of the rules
its all just a matter of who is here at the time, how heavy the list is and how everyone is feeling lolol as far as i know there are NO written rules we need to follow
apart from trying to finish the grid lolol
ermmmm well, I was. But there's a point behind it.
aww you may be right!
yes kiwi, that's about it
no, no written rules, just a bit of respect for each other and common sense.
but other people were't
go ahead and clue - hahaha, I might pick up some words
well i did i said barts mum was in there somewhere lol
well, if I don't understand a conversation that's going on, I just leave
clue at 1:38
I can imagine, flosey. We are here for fun :)
SOmeone said at 1230am its too early for clues yet at 1201 people posted that there was a IM 8 im sorry that is all a bit hypocritical and no wonder i turn of the chat and talk through im
there's a difference between first 2 letters and a *clue*
clue for ca 6/27 only ca i am missing.
I think people feel there is a difference between listing first 2 letters and length of the biggies and clues about the words.
herin -- there's a dif between saying IM8 and cluing it more specifically, seems to me.
gee ata you type too fast was just saying that myself lol
lol I am just here to veg, so I will accommodate the majority
lol Ata
see, kiwi, I typed it anyway :-)
Sorry ata to me there is no difference at all. THat is just rude
sorry book don't have that one
sorry book havent got that yet
why is there no difference?
I am with Ata, for me there is a big difference too.
ca 6/27 what holds the sausage together
ok anyways im going deep into the clues to see if i can get over halfway at least lol
ARB, I think, just showed the exact difference!
have fun, Kiwi ;)
ty ty.
1 min in is just stupid it doesnt give anyone a chance to enjoy the grid.
really?
I enjoy the grid
remove a letter from ca740
Have I stepped on some toes? Hadn't looked at the chat and just saw the request. Sorry if I offended.
not at all, ARB. You happened to illustrate the difference we were yakking about. Or lack of difference, perhaps!
no, arb, you haven't :) just come into the middle of a discussion
I really thot am 6/24 and 7/36 were proper names... surprised it is here
not at all, ARB
Me too, Dee
huh. me three
How is a newbie going to learn if he/she doesnt cant clue? Im going to go back out of this now, and scrap up my brain from the explosion
yes, good idea
not a bad idea
huh. am6/7 is a real, and sorta unrelated word
I'm off to bed, goodnight all
happy babbling
night flosey, sweet dreams
and I just typoed... and it was a word I never ever woulda gotten.
that's also time for bed business
not bad justafreep ;)
wow. obscure spelling of a past tense. hmmm.
Morning all Not stopping to chat right now but did want to say Hi.
hi FMitch! Good to see you, even in passing :)
Morning spritey sprite :)
hi FM!
hi FM
Morining Ata and Hi Volley. Did I hear a door slam a few mins ago as someone stormed out of the log ? Or was I still asleep?
hi FM
hi and bye all -- was distracted by something else and just popped in as I am shutting down the crazy computer
stida - love the pics from your babble meet!!! Morning ARB
thanks FMitch -- we have so much fun at these babble meets!
Have you had flooding FM?
anyway, sweet dreams all -- see you tomorrow
Only a little ARB, nothing like the areas you see on the news.
hey stid! Hi and bye, hun... *hug*
I think you did FM *grin*
Hi Bye Stid
; )
Ah, the god of love has returned to the grid after a short absence, and on that note I return to the depths of the hunt.
He was here yesterday too, I believe, FMitch :)
hello oooo big grid!
morning all
ia 8/45
hi mum
hi volley :) ohh I hate ia words!!! Dr god always does this to me!!
hi jakes-mum
on purpose, jakes-mum?
morning sprite! i'm beginning to think so :( he purposefully puts double vowel words in that completely pass me by
popping head out of clues to say hi and happy babbling to those who arrived while i was otherwise occupied in the clues lol
morning groovy
morning j-m and good luck
back into the clues i go - down 10 118 to go sigh
i'm going to need it (sigh) 'still thinking about ia words'
hi kiwi
I love those ia words
those ia words are recurring babblets, in a way, though mostly the shorter ones are in grids.
is my chat frozen?
not as far as I can see, Dee
nope guess not lol
ok ive managed to get a to i finished which leaves me 96 to go on the rest so i think ill go grab a good book and curl up in front of the fire with some popcorn
good nite all see ya tomorrow and happy babbling
nite kiwi, and hi all
night GK
sweet dreams Kiwi, and hi MVA
hi MVA
hi MV
is it just me, or is this a hard grid?
its hard MVA
I have only just started but I cant see how I am going to get 300+ out of this today!
just reached 100, i shall take a break now, drink more tea and come back later, perhaps i'll see more then
Me too!!
fireworks
may I help anyone before I leave?
since I have no takers, I'll see you at the flip; have a great Friday all!!! *poof*
gosh this is hard today!
I'm taking my kids swimming this morning - bbl - have fun all you babblers out there
Hello everyone - Liz puts me off but Volley encourages me!
hi lynxxx
its .... ok, Lynxxx
though no idea where the Gs are
I see what you mean Atal - I could only find 5
i've got 8 g's
i've got 10
with a lot of effort
6 ga; 3 ge; 4 gi; 3 gl; 5 gr
what a sweetie that BR is! TY
TY!
thats a *bit* better
is it me or is this grid really hard
Clue for any of the as words please.
its really hard
If I cannot find at least one as word, I am quitting right now.
haven't got any merk
all 4 as words start with the same 6 letters
they are to do with a problem with eyes
thats a clue and a half!
Do you have a meaning or a synonym?
thank you babblerabble
the words pertain to a cornea problem
Thank you
wow BR and Ata!! tyvm :)
Good Morning Grannymaxx, BabbRabb, Merk, and Chris P
hello pinkhat and all :)
hello
back for more... hi BabbleRabble
'morning Pink - and Sprite!
howdy, sprite
Hi Lynxxx
hi lynxxx!
morning pink - & everyone else
hi Chris
hi sprite
goodmorning (officially) Chris
morning lynxxx - isn't this a sod of a grid!
it is not easy, that is for sure! Usually with a grid this size I get 2/3 without trying hard... not now!
still got 142 to go & really struggling
I've only just started - having fun so far - nothing to do with it being a Friday nite so I can enjoy it of course - and finish tomorrow if needs be
I am getting there slowly now, but it took a lot of time
now I thinkthe As are as bad as the Gs!
Has anyone seen elmer on here tonight (this morning)?
Hi all, by the way!
hi smith i haven't seen him at all
Hi Smith
He's a her actually.
opps!!!
Don't ask me why she picked that name.
the same reason that mrpresident picked her name LOL
Sprite - have you heard anything on MRP the last few days?
Not ignoring you on purpose, Atalante...I just got a iPhone and spent hours loading all of my calender and contacts into Yahoo to sync it with the phone, and it won't work...I'm much too technologically challenged to handle such a roadblock tonight. TIred too.
ooooooh gosh! that sounds horribly complicated!
It is when you're me, that's for sure. Hubby is gone for two weeks and won't be able to help me. He's usually my tech support.
lynxxx: no, not after hearing that the splint went dramaless and things were a little better now
lickety has his hands full with kids and work and trying to survive himself, that is for sure
same here, smith. when you're married to a techie computer geek, you tend to just hand things over to him!
Definitely!
isn't that what they are there for? ;)
Well, that and one or two other things.
good morning all
errrr yes, totally :)
hi green
hi green
cooking, cleaning ....
how's the grid today
big and not easy for me, green
Sprite - just went back on the archives toady - no news when he came on with the clues. No news is good news I trust
Hey, green
that's what I would say too, lynxxx
Ata: mi6/27 - 7/40 are GW words :)
can anyone give me a clue for some Ns? All I have so far is ni4/4 x 2 and I seem to be blind to others.
good wife?
I forgot the magic word, I see: please?
GuildWars, lynxxx
they are?
ahhh! - I only have the 2 n's you do -sorry!
I'm not that far yet, sprite. Just tried to type that sentence in as a clue. Hmmm...
a kind of iboga
so do I
ni 6.24;7.36;6.27;7.40;4.4;4.4
tuic
oops...so embarrassing when one enters stupid nonwords for all the babble world to see.
BabbleRabble: could you please clue the bigger ones for me?
lol smith... I tried that one too, so don't feel too stupid
don't worry Smith - we all try them too!
the 4 bigs all start with the same 5 letters
r
BBS - need to go and scare a few possums off - in the roof but sound like they are coming through the walls! must be party time for possums
Oops! Morning all
reminds me of Dame Edna instantly
Hey sugar
hi sugar
Perhaps that should have been grrrrrrrr - difficult grid today. Hi smith and sprite
thanks BabbleRabble, that should make it easier, but so far no luck
nor with me. bad bad Ns
ni 6.24 -- smithy's tool: a*v** and trot, gallop: ***ts
very strange words
great clue, stupidhead word. Thanks BabbleRabble, never ever would have gotten that without you. How did you find it?
hi Rabble
even a blind squirral finds an acorn ......
for those interested, this is the def: large, Indian antelope, Boselaphus tragocamelus, the male of which is bluish gray with small horns, the female tawny and hornless. Also called Blue Bull. And there is an evey stranger spelling too, though not in this grid. With y and h. Can you believe it.
I take my hat off for your monkey :)
we're doing well with buffaloes and things today, ga4/7 is one too
103 left - off to mow the grass before it rains
ga4 was no problem, this one was :) BabbleRabble, do you have the other 2 as well and if so, could you please please clue them too?
bye Chris
Bye, Chris!
ni 6 --- same first 5 and vowel; pl
use the first three letters of the ga big animal, spritey
oh darn, stupid me. Thanks again, that close huh.
hand me the fish... or the su6/24
*looks for su6/24*
counting like crazy too
japanese fish paste
that lets me out - no cook!
huh. I should know that
grin... ok, try this: other word for certain, change last vowel, + 3rd musical note on the scale.
was spelling it wrong
TY Sprite.
still can't believe tagine isnt in enable
fireworks and a babblet movie :)
YAY Sprite!!!!
congrats. sprite
sine
YAY!!!
Congrats Sprite !!!
Well, I guess I need to go on to bed now since I'm doing stupid things.
Sorry about that:)
if that were any indication, I would never be up
lol
I did use the list for this one, by the way.

Hello all - back to find 146 = eek

south american cowboy defeats me
then think of French leader Charles De ***lle
flosey, a heavy metal piece that a smith hammers metal on
Hetty, that was for you ... intead of ***cho, charles de***lle
hetty-instead of a cowboy--think of the comedy team of brothers of old movies--Harpo, Chico, Zippo & this one (take out the r in his name)
ni + a *ily of the va**ey and cowboy
just not getting these clues, but must run bbl
i'll be back late too. (and thanks babrab for that silly ni6/7)

think of the actor don from the movies
older
personally with a grid this size, I thinking real clueing should start at 12:01..lol
having a senior moment on the movie - was about aliens in the swimming pool
hello my babble friends ~ I agree with Chic ~ been there at the flip many times (lurking and listening) and it is just stupid the way some of the players act

Congrats Faerie...and good morning all from here
thnx
now you're making me go back in the chat so i can find out who is being like that!
hi lynxx. i am leaving (or at least that's what I am saying) in two minutes
it's boring and it's totally not fair to folks in different time zones that have a limited time to play the game...
I agree Chic
la5.14 & 6.24 big & bigger
players should be able to clue at any point in the game as far as I'm concerned
hey great recipe chic, thanks. will try it next month when i have all my kids around. they'll love that
thanx lynxx
you here stuff like ( I 9) not IM 9
well it's fun at the flip to call out the biggies first but there's nothing wrong with giving sime cryptic clues or whatever...
The first hour is too frantic for me - I try to avoid it
it is very easy to close chat if you don't want to see a clue.. hi all, back for more babble fun
thanx, dorens, hope you can get the New Mexico dried chiles; maybe look in a specialty store.
must go now I have company (napping) and I need to get started on preparing dinner ~ good luck everyone ~ hard grid today
Hi Aloy
in ny there's a great place that has all mexican stuff.. shouldn't be too hard
bye faerie..
bye faerie
~waves~
bye faerie and hi aloy
let me know how you like it; it's a wonderful sauce... I mix mild with med. chiles so as not to burn out mouths.
bye faerie.. belated congrats... hi to Dorens and lynxxx.. i agree, tuffie today
Chic, unfortunately there are a lot of 'babble snobs' who think that they are better than all others. That's why I never chat or ask/give clues. This is my first post on over 6 months. Keep on going though...it's a free site :-)
hi, wb Paddytt
thanx for speaking up, Paddy, it's been a bone of contention for some time now...
ahhh now, see, I just try to ignore the bores... some people want to believe they "own" things because they spend so much time there... They just forget it's not
everyone's always been nice to me
I used all my restraints to not say something mean last night; actually I left for an hour and when I got back they were still at with the latecomers...
sorry all i still cant get the am 5/14
Hi Paddytt.
a + ***key Mouse + first pers singular
good evening everyone - great it's the weekend :)
hi e1, first time 4 me.
ruthy -" i see i " will have to spell it out
just my $.02, if it's not in the rules, I'm not going to do it. Don't want to see clues? hide the chat etc, but for the rest... *shrug*
hi and a big warm Babble welcome bwgamer!
Hi Elder. yeah for the weekend!
ty
bichon, your granddaughter is adorable; we are expecting our first and she will also be born in California.. am crocheting an afghan, so need to finish it by the middle of Sept.
if they don't want to clue, they don't half to, but anyone who wants to should!
welcome, bwgamer!
back again --- had a 1 hour interruption there :)
thank you
new player? -- welcome aboard bwgamer
Hi Cybernan & bwgamer
yes bichon, she is beautiful...grandchildren are delightful
yes, ty
i've only recently started using the chat bit of Babble both for chat and for clues - it does make a big difference to the 'experience' I'd lurked for a few years before i reaslied people clue words in the chat window and since i've started chatting i've not only got better at Babble, but had some very nice/hilarious/interesting conversations!
now i'm leaving, didn't achieve my goal of 158 words... ten short. see you later
so thank you guys!!
babble snobs? O.O I don't think so!
bye dorens!
bye for now, Dorens
bye dorens

am i a babble snob?
if you are, i am too i think
i do feel that people who play babble are superior to other people, naturally.
i don't know hurshy, do you have a butler who types your words in for you?
no, but you are very sensitive
no butler
only joanna lumley has that
i'm sensitive? really? how so?
then no. unless you have diamond encrusted Babble gloves, in which case yes.
right, off folks for now - hopefully BBL, but off for a glass of wine or two so may be a little slanty later on
i would never be a party to the diamond trade, the way it is conducted.
only joking Hurshy!
lol bye fishbulb
hurshy have you forgiven marty?
bye fish
bye slanty(!) Fishbulb
i wish i were more sensitive TO people... yes kristin, we made up after a while.
O.O what did marty do??
he apologized.
he behaved twice as badly at the vet as he's ever done, hissing and actually SPITTING!!
no!!!
i'm glad you worked things out
i was so embarrassed by his appalling behavior and i let him know it all the way home.
i'm sure they've seen 10 times worse
ty all for ur help with the ca 7/32
well he knew i was disappointed in him and he became ashamed of himself.
what about the other 2?
mitten was good. cinder only hissed at being taken out of her crate, then she was ok.
hurshy you took all 3 at once - brave woman!
you make me laugh hurshy - my ginger neutered tom aptly named chucky has no manners at all and will happily take chunks out of our sweetiepie vet

Well, that's true.
what time is it there, ursh?
10.45pm inge
She does have her admirers though. You remember me talking about the travellers here and their funerals? I have a wedding story....
whereu at ursh?
oooooo *sits down to listen*
'settles in for story time'
Durban - South Africa echo
are we sitting comfortably ......
same time as here ursh
*pulls up cushion and stis quietly, waiting*
i'm in time to take a seat
Driving past the chapel I noticed several stretch Hummers - white ugly things, the sort you wouldn't be seen dead in.
oh no an hour in front
shhh
sry
waiting with baited breath
*snigger*
(whatever that means)
So, I concluded that people with little taste were getting married. I was right.....
behave \mitch
sounds like a soap opera
ust dont hold your breath
passes doxy a breath mint :)
Husband goes off after lunch, the phone rings a short time later, he's ringing from his mobile having passed the chapel.
'Get yourself down to the chapel - there's a **** wedding going on and they've got a glass carriage!'
the same chapel with the hummers....?
no...not a glass carriage
I am already laughing hysterically
Now I didn't make it down to the chapel in time so I had to rely on his description and the subsequent appearance of the photo in the local paper.
hey just watching Bob Marleys sons at Glastonbury= great bbc4
Shhhhh
and.........
Two bored looking horses with ostrich feathers (bright blue), standing waiting in front of a round glass carriage - a la Cinderella. Apparently imported from England at great cost, and no taste at all.
and..................
bright blue ostrich feathers? oh, the details just make the story!
who was the bride???
ostrich feathers?!?! glass carriage?!?! oh nooo
really? a real, live glass carriage? i've never seen one. didn't know they existed
You didn't tell me they existed, I could have had one !!!
The picture in the paper not only featured the glass carriage, but the squads and I mean squads of bridesmaids and ushers and page boys, all dressed to the nineties and looking utterly miserable. Goodness knows that it all cost, but they LOVE their ceremonies.
omg, this is the puzzle that never ends
It would have been hard on the horses at sea karys
i feel like i've been doing this all day & i only have 123 words
sorry, I just tuned in to this story Haz, who is "they"
who's wedding was it Haz?
round and round the decks Mitch, just think
The bride was a little 19 year old from the travelling community. The story goes that the reception was held at a local hotel. Father of the bride hands the hotelier £2000 in cash - 'in case there's any trouble later on...'
lol
travelers = gypsies?

Sorry, I am on another site. My youngest sister and my cousin and i are looking ahead to a tour of Italy & Sicily. A tour would simplify things so much, but we want to find the villages where our grandmother (near Napoli) and grandfather (near Mt Etna) grew up.

No dates yet, Doren--just early planning stages. I also have to get over my fear of flying problem.
Dorens - my birthay (April 22nd) sounds a good time for my other half to take me to Sicily!
Dorens, when you get back PLEASE give us a detailed account of your voyage en Bourgogne!
Which reminds me... I still haven't written up my trip to Amsterdam for my 50th birthday, Have I?
This puzzle is never going to end! :^P
oh, do that please jac. I was there in 06 and loved it!
Not that I've read, Jac.
2009 is Other Half's 40s birthday and I intend to take him to Paris (mostly South Bank) for that.
Dorens - have you read my Crete stuff yet from last year?
no, where will i find it?
Aloha Jellen.... i just got here... no hope for me - only 50 words so far...lol. Hello everyone!
not been to greece or crete or turkey yet, looking forward to it some year
su5/12, the last?
Paul is younger, jac!
hi, Kerry!
2009 will be the first trip to Paris, believe it or not, for us both. I once set me and my now 'ex' up to go there on a works' trip back in the 70s but he pulled out last minute and, as women still did then, I didn't go either. GRRR!
Aloha, Kerry
Hi Scrabbler!
Jellen... your dog is so cute!
Paul is 12 years' younger, Scrabbs.
paris will blow you away jac.
Yes, she's a good dog.
He needs a mature woman, right, Jacula?
well, it did me. partly because i studied french since i was a little girl, and partly the food, and the city is simply beautiful
and i will be there next week!
Sorry! Just knocke myself off site with stupid side buttons on new mouse son has given me.
Yes, Scrabbs, he is 12 years' younger.
Woweee, Doren! You must be bursting with excitement!
Erm .. he does, Scrabbs. LOL
good afternoon all... long time no babble for me
i am scrabs, i am
hi, toad
hi toad
hi
Dive in Toadette--lots of work to do today.
can't be here too long. at the airport right now. husband is going to want the computer for a while
Dorens - I've studied French since I was 4 (but I'm still not great at it!) and I had a number of good teachers who were French and so made it interesting until I hit 5th form a grammar school - then I encountered an English harridan married to a Frenchman. Lord knows what he saw in here... unless high drama turned him on. Her screaming drove me out of the classroom (in my mind at least) and I stopped learning French at 15.
Awful woman!
hah jac. je comprends. I stopped studying french at 15 also, because i was then at the high school and they offered russian, which i thought was far more interesting.
Hi, toad.
hi jacula
good luck toad.. not an easy one to do quickly
not worried about it. I haven't done a grid in about 2 weeks now. :( I've missed it.
Dorens - there were 2 girls in lower 6th form studying Russian at my school and about 4 or 5 studying Spanish. Any language other than the classical ones were NOT encouraged by our then headmistress.
Time to go read HP7 for a bit---see everyone tomorrow!
enjoy. see you tomorrow scrabbler
Bye Scrabbler!
oh lord, I have never done a grid that has an 11 letter word!
this puzzle just keeps going and going
night scrabs
i've done larger grids that seemed easier
Scrabbs - it's really absorbing towards the end. ENJOY! Hope your Mum doesn't ring you in the midst of the final battle!
yeah but this one has some pretty interesting words
i've decided that i'm happy with barely over half the words and am not going to torture myself with this grid tonight!
don't answer the phone scrabs!
hey feather, the migraine gone?
Prepare the fish, for I need a clue for the second si4/4.
Mine did! Mind you, having lost my Dad, I do know that one day I will also give anything for the phone to ring and it to be my Mum 'whittering on' on the end of the line.
hi again, feather
the fish is a bottom feeder (that is a clue, albeit a bad one)
yes!!!! totally pain free today! (well, other than lower back, but what can you expect?)
ok i'm back
how fast do we think i can do 123 more words? cause my dad wants to watch a movie
happy birthday again!
How's the bump looking feather? Has it dropped yet?
ha, thanks dorens :)
nope, not a bit jac, but it's been pretty low all along
brb, 1 sec
Hi feather, very wise; i've been torturing myself for the last 4 hours!
Too dim-witted for your clue, Dorens.
Hi Feather
i need ar5/10 besides "got up"
Ooh, got it. Thanks, Dorens
ok, si + the ice is me**ing
feather - do we 'know' from a scan yet if it's a boy or a girl?
boy
glad to hear the migraine has gone...
percy!

ar5/10 = Rolf *a*** (Aussie singer and painter)
yes, definitely boy! we had another u/s yesterday to check on my fluid levels (which are fine, whew!) and he is ALL boy
lol jac - do i look that continental?
me too zen! thanks
Boy then, feather? Odd! Boys are usually carried high and girls low.
si 6/24 after the melodious ones?
this guy's been down low from the get go
burns
hursh - I'm singing 'The Continental' as we type. LOL
other way around Jacula
good heavens

re6/24 please? (do i need a fish?)
I have a very strange cat. He's moved from carrying pieces of paper around the house to carrying small books.
umm, books?
re + coat with gold
ty jel
Yup. Books.
ah there they are
need a clue for su 6/24??
okay gonna go. good luck everyone!
Babies are carried differently based on their presentation (breech, vertex, or head first), their position (anterior, posterior), their gestational age and weight, maternal weight and stature and the mother's parity (whether or not this is her first or eighth baby), not the gender. The other factor is engagement of the baby's head into the pelvis later in pregnancy, in preparation of delivery. With this "dropping," many a prospective mother will claim to have decreased in size overnight, now breathing a lot more easily. If the gender were determinable by how high or low one carried, the gender would then be seen to switch at late term.
that's a bit odd! but appropriate for a babbler
su + edge + personal pronoun
very interesting thanks jac!
bye, toad. Have a safe trip!
thanks Jellen - all around that one
There you go then, Feather. I hope they're right about the sex of your baby if you're all set for what it is supposed to be, but also hope you're adaptable if it isn't. I'm sure you are!
i've also read in many different places that babies tend not to "drop" for second or later pregnancies until immediately before or even during labor
Can anyone help me with the last 6 si's (except for gentlemen)?
oh, there was no doubt! my hormones have made his "boys" quite obvious, lol
Hi everyone
hi, Mom
feather - I've come to the concusion that both babies and women's bodies get to know 'what to do' after the first time.
Hi Jellen
*HOWLS*
2nd's much easier than the 1st, feather! £rd's supposed to be a b*gger! But it all falls into (or rather out of!) place after that, so I'm told.
*looks at moon, backs slowly away from hursh*
not wolf.
lol, feather
just indignant hurshy. en11 and er9. horrifying.
this one's measuring a bit small, but that's ok as daniel was too, and i'm fairly small myself
er9? i don't have that one...
down to ten.... gratified to know that hurshy is not turning into a wolfperson
(i'm not actively doing the puzzle, just picking up stuff from chat)
Hve you got the words, hursh, or are you horrified at the though of them?
you don't have it because it's not a word!
i have got them
Go Dorens!
and i am horrified that enable counts them as words.
AWOOOOOOOO!
Down to last five. Collapsing before the finish line. . .
Sorry! Ful yellow/orange moon and all that.
Go Jellen!
i am missing those big er's clue please?
go jellen
Hi, all
ahem....so anyone wanna clue that er9? or did you mean to type en9?
er7 + not on a steady course.
well that is dumb, lol! ty
er9/60 - same word but with Mr., Gore's 1st name at the end.
you take er7 that is already an adj and you make it an adj again
ty jac. how did i miss them?
just like en9 and en11's relationship.
er8/45 = er7/32 plural.
they did it with ia6 too!
it keeps making me sing "jellical cats"
when will this madness end?
si help, please?
At 6am our time, hursh, when the grid flips.
LOL
en9?
lol
3 words left
hi pam

Woo, hoooo, jellen!
yw
add mr gore to the end of that Pam and DR
Our house is NOT immune from that, it encircled by all 'that' at present. Since it hasn't happened for 6 years, after it happened 4 times in 3 years and my insurance co took my flood insurance away... Other |Half, though not here when all of that happened, understands my need not to leave the house right now.
Congrats jellen

Where the Wild Things Are is a great work of literature, DR
are there two en9's
Hi Mom and everyone else... I only have 80 words but am going to try this one
So sorry, jac.....
hi dr

oh, that is ok Jacula. I appreciate the hug very much
how rushing does addle the brain
i mean thanks jellen :) lol
sc8/9 combo?
The brain, hursh, must be unaddled as fast as possible... I've seen the homes for the addled... it's a scarey prospect.
sc8= type of sword, Jac's icon
I think I may be one of the ones in the homes for the addled who is still spouting lists of words, all spelled correctly.:((((((((
I might even still be Babbling, if some kind nurse finds the site for me and lets me loose on the 'Net'!
ty again jellen
You're welcome
Will I have to be 'GeriJacula' then?
I'm Babbling to avoid ending up where nurses have nets, Jac. :-)
i think the key is to be eccentric all your life so no one notices any difference
Jelllen - me, too, after having seen my Dad and my other's half's Nan (who'd only had a stroke) in one of those places.
re6/24?
hursh - you may well be right!xxx
Good point hurshy. I may have already accomplished that.

THAT is a word, dawg?
Sorry for your loss, Jac.
enable believes it to be Pam
She died sometime early Wednesday morning. (She'd been talking to my ex ma-in-law from about midnight to 2am). It seems she had a massive stroke, fell down between the sofa and a china cabinet with her arm behind her and laid there for 24 hours with her arm trapped behind her going black until she was found.
ni6= nothing + capital ***ns (profit); ni7 is plural
ohhhh, how sad, Jac
oh, Jacula, that is terrible
so sorry about your loss jac
I am off for the night -- DR good luck and I hope you finish. Good night everyone
Most of the family is away on hol at present but it was her daughter who found her.
G'night, Mom
Ohh that is tragic. not a good way to go at all. how awful for the daughter

LOLOLOL, jac. Good for her!

do you think I can find the remaining 184 in 40 minutes?
one more week! then off to vacation!
Well now, let's think... once you've read HP7, what risks would you take if you had children to thnik of? Think about that before you let The Sorting Hat sort you. One of the professors did say, 'Sometimesd, I think we sort them too young.' A reference to the 11+ exam, I think.
which 184, lol
you can give it your best shot autumn
*grins, then grimaces*
how many words today?

Hiya nut, any great or gripping new for the babblecasts?
*news
jac, did you know i have a new one up? it's my best yet.
nut - no 7?
NUTTY
dawggy!!!
Whisks off to check
Is it the one where you tell someone to walk all over me?
little, creeped out by this lighting, maybe i should move inside?
the ground just shook i swear
if there's lightning Nutty, go inside! silly goose!
can't see it from inside
Jellen, yeah that's the babblecast she's talking about.
Arrgh!!
nutty, 'lectricity and people don't mix very well.
sure is jellen....eerie silence ensues....gettin scared
if i die tonight, i don't have to host tomorrow
Wasn't fierce enough, was it? Oh well.
bad nutty, bad! you'd have to host as a ghost
ere comes the rain
Jellen, your pupster isn't mean lookin' to scare nutty.
I like that Napoleon Dynamite gets a nod in this one
She should be, she's mostly, pit bull.
sorry sassy?
But you're right, she's a sweetheart.
ahh, but she's a sweety isn't she?
Poor, neglected, dirty, sweety.
so under loved...yeah right!
Sassy, would you like to clarify please?
Actually she does stink. Haven't given her a bath in ages.
ack, and i thought i was smelling Nut!
i smell like 'lectricity
Molly's in her room in the basement, most likely.
Nut - you've forgotten a few times now to say, and thak Dr_God and go pro.'
my friend in texas has a pit mix, his name is abner and he's 98% doofus
sorry jac! i promise to remember...i just get so excited when i do other stuff right i forget.
ut - if you ant Jamie to give you some direct input you're gonna have to ask... you may or may not get.
May I have a clue for any as word
i already asked him originally for permission to call it the official babble podcast
mari, the all have to do with a visual disorder.
well kids, gotta go, see you all tomorrow.
If your hair starts to stand up, Nut run for cover!
ta ta dawggy!
nite Dawg
Nut - can you please remember my oldest family member Doris (Almost 92) in your next B/cast? She was a game old bird and deserves a mention
I was going to forage for food. Really going now. See y'all later.
sure jac, how am i supposed to remember her? should i just say she was a game old bird or what's up? maybe you could clarify for me in an email?
weird - why should i run? that's how i want to die.
thank you
Oh, then go back out on the deck,LOL
would, but don't wanna get my laptop wet
Oh dear! Re the pee smell thing, my Mum and I already moved seat on the bus on Thursday due to pee smell from the guy in front. We waal got off the bus and he was then joined by 'woman from the back'. She smeled of pee, too! Oh dear, is this our fate? To be old and smell of pee?
it was my master plan jac, dunno about yours
Nut - ROFLOL. Wish I could spell and type right now.
EWWW! Les join Nut out on the deck Jac!! I don't want to smell of pee. And would my friends tell me if I did.
weird - you can bet they would not!
i'd tell ya
Hi, again
Thank you Nut, that is a true friend! There is a lady who sits by me at mass sometimes and she smells of male cat. And no, I do not tell her, I just get a headache
Nutty - you would if your sense of smell had not been stunted by smellig the same smell around yoursel;f at that time.
i sometimes worry about that with a dog and two cats
Nut - Wory not! You already smell of pee!
but i'd rather smell of poo
And musk etc, etc, LOL
I have a dog and three cats, I think what smells is when you have cats that spray. I told my friend if I ever smell like that you better tell me or I will kill you!
have to add something here. Would rather sit with someone smelling of pee than gallons of perfume or aftershave
Poo? That highly meaty potent smell that takes 20 mins to leave through a window. Forget air fresheners.. they causee cancer and don't work. LOL
ugh autumn, makes me think of the mail guy at work, could knock you over at twenty paces
True Autumn, but it is close
why are we talking about smells?
there is one lady at work that everyone knows if she is in the building or not. You can smell her for hours in the lobby
cause we all have operational sniffers
Autumn - the pefume thing is a faster one to react to in terms of vacating a space., that's true
Well, smackdown is on. Didn't get my 184 words because I've been busy chatting with my brother. Have a good nite all and see you tomorrow. Ni-night
I quit smoking 9 years ago and now I smell everything!I quit in March and by May if I had my window in the car down I was overwhelmed by the smell of flowers
Worst women my other half ever encountered was not a bitch orma harridaj but aa woman who wore too mch perfume. That one thing alone could be guaranteed to drive all the men (and most of the women) from the office she was enclved in.
Fireworks
Congrats anike!
Sometimes, girls, all you need to do is have a wash. Men don't like all that chemical peerfumed stuff.
Well done, anike.
