it's not one thing it's another. At the moment, the worst is the swelling and pain in her hand (lower than the splint and lower than her heart). Looks like finally a nurse is helping with that with correct bandages to push the blood back up. She's been in the hospital for a week and a half now, and she's probably going to be there for another week at least.

We had a great day with mrp - really picked her up. I can't believe that this is true - but a friend even brought a Joey (yes a real life baby kangaroo) into her hospital room today.

yeah we have a friend that has a rural property, and they found a dead kangaroo with a joey - so they have been rearing it since. It pretty much lives in a large handbag with it's head sticking out (for trips out) and needs bottle feeding
let me tell you, that story even lifts MY spirit :) Wonderful, lickety. And I am very glad you and mrP had a good day. That is not easy in hospitals.

It shouldn't exactly have been in a hospital - but she sneaks it everywhere - as it's easy to hide in the bag it's in ;-) We spent 9 and a half hours with mrp today - she really needed it - and when I left she kissed and thanked me over and over. It was such a high point at such a trying time.

i feel that the switching back and forth between sets of characters with each chapter to maintain suspense is a rather cheap literary device, and i also don't like people passing off fiction as maybe-not-fiction, and then denying that they are doing it, even though the effect on the reader is obvious.

Ren8 sorry I didn't see your question about Paultons but I dashed off for a bite to eat. Paultons is a kids dream. Lots of great rides for all ages up to about 10. We took 4 grandchildren , were there for six hours and they all loved it. I would recommend it as a great day out.

Probably not any more than anyone else. It just feels like it sometimes. I'm a stay-at-home mom and it's a good thing, because if I had to leave the house all day to go to work, I'd never get anything accomplished! My hat is off to all of those working mothers out there. Especially the single ones. I'm single half of the time because my hubby goes out of town for two weeks every two weeks, but at least I'm not having to worry about making the living all by myself with everything else I have to do.
