thanks Volley. Got the other one?
how about anything for the O and the I in the row above the bottom?
up + so 4/4
I in the next to bottom row. Blackest.
ty pigeon
yw.
Lots of words end in those letters.
for o's I have oa 7; oa 4; oa 5; oa 4; om 4; om 5; oo 4; oo 6; oo 7; oo 4; op 4; op 5; op 4; or 4; os 4; os 4; os 4; os 6; os 5; ou 4; ou 8; ou 9; ou 6; ou 7
oa7?
o is r**** beef
if only I could find the first halfs!
ty nurse!
oo6 and 7?
oa 7 is what you row a boat with + li 4/8
dumb word. What could that possibly describe?
lol I agree
Clues for the oo6?
oo words are tough to clue... oo + mixed up letters for ra 4/4 (and plural)
for i's I have im 6 x 2; im 7; im 4; and in 7
which ra4,4? There are several
what a train rides on
ty
ty dee.... even if that is NOT a real word. no WAY.
Don't believe I've ever seen that one before.
I sure never have
im words 1st has to do with bringing goes into the country
Trying to get my last two sevens. Clues for the po7 and the to7 after "to throw"
ty dee... found the one I needed though
please?
next 2 im words have to do with assertively trying to im---- your beliefs on someone else (plus the plural)
heh, ikea is in here
po 7/32... here is the def -he work or the art of poetic composition
do you have the to 7 - hairpiece for a man
different spelling
yes. I need the to7,32 just before that.
here is another def for the po 7 - The art or practice of composing poems
the po7 is the pl of that
to 7/32 to 4/4 (to throw) + I cook my stew in a very large ---
yes orn
dee, do you mean pl hairpiece to7/36, or is there another version?
ty Volley.
ty for the to7/32
Can't find the po7 Ornith. Thanks for the clue though.
does it help if I tell you there is NOT a t in the po7?
actually it looks like flowers with an extra vowel as the 3rd letter
ok orn... sorry... which to do you need please?
ty volley that got it
wasn;t me :)
yw
Now THAT gave me the word. Thank you very much. Ornith, great clues, but I'm no po4,5
lol good glad you found it
oh, you mean the hairpiece question... was trying to figure out if there is another spelling
let me check to be sure I am correct brb
12 to go. I'm off for the night. Thanks for the help. Luck to all.
night pigeon
170 left got to go to work now be back tonight
bye nurse
actually orn I stand corrected .. the first to group (to 5 and to 6) def is: in India) a lightweight helmet or sun hat made from the pith of the sola plant.
the first to 7/32 is the opposite of bottom + the cloth on a boat that catches the wind
ty!
then to 7/32 = to throw + what I cook stew in
yw
then the last to 6/7 is the hairpiece words
the Japanese people born in US are in grid
is 5/10 and ni 5/10 and 6/18
any others?
The 7/32 is what I call my husband sometimes but I didn't know it was a real word!
I'm not even halfway yet
I had to revert to Lickety's list to finish this one
lots of odd compounds
rosea

heh, there are sp5 in the puzzle. there was some administrator at my college with that for a last name, so the paper always quoted her as "Sp5 Report: blah blah"
Morning all - not another 300+!

That yellow thing is in the sky again so gardening is on the menu trying to clear our jungle

Did anyone else think "casred" was a word yesterday?
*wishful thinking*
missed yesterday's
Sorry casted I mean
no spellit

Yes that's what I came to but I am sure I have heard it used on radio
Also fishermen say it...

hi jean

right am off bbl, Happy Babbling everyone:)
hello everyone - seems like the big ones are becoming the norm. - how's this one?
Not too bad - several have finished lynnxx
Happy Happy!! Sun is shining!!!! Morning all
good morning FM you little sun worshipper you
LOL Afternoon lynxxx, we are owed a little piece of summer me thinks! How are you?
Except for a frustrating useless incompetant manager at work - Fine!
Hmmm I am guessing you do get on too well :) Good babble grid to help you unwid a little then.
I do love Babble - get to coverse with people who have something between their ears. Happily he is with us only for another 10 days or so! (not that I had anything to do with that-?)
Party time in 10 days then :)
hi
Hi Infernal
how goes it
Did you see Lickety's filming of MRP in hospital yesterday?
no
Its great - you'll love it - Babble Expert - Resources - Lickety Info (or something like that)
I saw it just now. Made me cry
I saw it just now. Made me cry
now you'll make me cry!
ha ha
happy tears just so happy to see her face
woohoo just got the o8&9 - what a silly compound
nice well done. I ate way too much popcorn and soft drink at the movies i feel seedy
why do they do those giant serves! ridiculous
I shared with a friend a large popcorn and 2 large drinks oh my lordee we had half a tub left. We call it family feed bag. Too big sizes and the prices are expensive
Fireworks!
yah merk
Yay Merk!!!
Well done Merk!!
ty, not too bad a grid considering its size. They've been stuck on long grids the last few days.
I havent finished the last 300 plus grids (every single one of them) Well done
and considering your connection problems Merk - you should get double points
hello again back to finish up.... 70 to go!!
Hi Pink
Hello Lynxxx
Good morning/evening all. And in the words of that famous Scottish philosopher, Jimmy Krankie - 'Fan dabby dozy!' - Another big grid.
gotta run gran is almost here, happy babbling!!
You are a very perverse woman Haz!! Morning dear.
hi pink
Hi Haz - it is, although it seems easier with all our practicing of late
bye Pink
Perverse? Moi?
It's just nice to find lots of words - though I thought yesterday's was harder than the longer one on Sunday.
I though that too, todays is a walk in the park by comparison.
That's good to hear, I like it when you can get into a rhythmn. (Is that the right spelling?)
oooh... don't say that, I am obviously suffering from word blindness to day then !!!....hello both
Good morning Karys!
Hi Karys and smiley cat
Hi Karys
ooohh sorry lynxx... didn't see you there, hello !
One of my fav words today is the so8.50, who knew that you could make the so4/6 'the most'
I didn't know it before either.
I did. I use it every day. Duh.
or maybe not
LOL of course you do Ata :)
seeing as I don't even know what it is LOL
cannot start this grid today. finishing colouring madly, and mum turning up in an hour
So you can just talk to us? No word finding? No triumph when you find a fossil word?
Theres discipline. Doing anything special with Mum?
not really. faffing around. there will be much Spaniel Fussage
only discipline cos I *need* to finish this pic today!
Fussage, like it :) Is that the know pic or anotherone?
the knotwork from hell, yeah
A happy Hobbit, then - spaniels and fussage go together like......(fill in the blanks)
hello everyone
I keep jumping up when cars arrive and praying she's not early!
Hello toad.
Hi T&T
You are dressed aren't you Ata? Hi toad
Don't jump up - hide under the window and pretend not to be in.
its hard work checking all the cars and not alerting hobbit to the fact that Something Is Going On
Blindfold? Ear plugs? Or would that send out too strong a signal to the pup that something IS going on?
She probably already knows and is waiting patiently whilst being amused by her pet acting like bouncing bunny.
lol FM
hello toads
ha ha she's run off downstairs now, whimpering and bouncing
:) :)
Di she fling herself from the last four stairs?
Is that what Spangle does?
the last flight of stairs hasn't got any bannisters, so yup. straight off the stairs half way down
Yes. Especially if something or someone goes past the front door, or a cat appears. Rapid movement down the first stairs, then a flinging.
The trouble is that there is little space at the bottom to stop the momentum, so, next stop, the front door.
Silverclaw just flings herself from the top of that flight of the stairs *sigh*
do you have the loose rug at the bottom so that she lands on that and the dog and the rug end up at the front door in a crumpled heap ? (girlfriend does)
LOL
LOOOL lynx
Of course, nothing like this would happen if she obeyed the house rule of no dogs upstairs.
you're all majing me dogsick' now !!!! :(
but thats the *humans* house rule
*making
I know - and if the humans can't bring themselves to enforce it, why should the dog bother? As long as she avoids eye contact with you as she's sneaking up, she thinks she's not been seen.
lol Haz.... had one like that !
she's a clever girl!
I'm hopeless. Children are so much easier.
My latest most favorite TV show is The Dog Whisperer - have you all seen that - he is so good, and its all so true, but I laugh myself sick over it
We have a couple of British versions, lynxxx. It always amazes me what people are prepared to put up with. Spangle has her moments, but for the most part she is a pleasure to have around.
same with Hobbit. she's a brat, but a gorgeous brat
the guy on the US show is brililant - I'm guessing he is Mexican or from South America somewhere - if you get a chance to see him Haz, I recommend watching it - of course, NOT for Spangle or yourself!
good morning all :)
hodag! you're not black!
Hi Hodag !
It always seems like a miraculous transformation. Hopefully longer lasting than some of the home makeovers. They are done so quickly that I always have visions of the rooms falling apart as soon as filming finishes.
Good morning hodag.
I'm sure some of them do
hi ya Lyn and your right Atalante I'm not black. Howdy Haz
not only not black - but flashing multi colored !!!!
yay Hodag!
Flashing? After yesterday's grid, I shouldn't be surprised.
The icon's great, hodag!
lol Haz - click on Hodags icon
hobbit's come back upstairs looking sheepish
nothing with Babble went right for me yesterday but, all seems okay now.
BBS think I need to batten down the hatches - seems like a bit of a gale out there
hello hodag.....that's a clever icon !!!
Does that mean you have to go downstairs to check on the reason for the sheepish look?
Did you have problems with the site, hodag?
hi Kary and ty :)
no, I *think* its just a "oops I overreacted to hearing a car" look
Ah, but what's a pup on red alert to do?
I had problems with the site all day,I gave up on it!!!
Good Morning All
Sigh, 11am and I must away for a while. Happy Babbling and Hi hodag, nice to see you. Ata said a woorrdd!!
That's a shame, hodag. Hope today is smoother for you.
she loves my mum, my mum brings her bones
bye fm!
rail
Bye FMItch! And hello periwinkle.
just started and already an oops
hi peri. TY Haz it is looking up all ready :)
I dont really like hobbit having bones, but she has a bone when mumis here, and we watch her carefullly
and peri said it tooo
Doulbe your oo4/5, peri.
bye Mitch
Hi peri
didn't even realize oo4/5 was in the grid :)
You'd get SUCH a look if you tried to take the bone away. And your mother wouldn't be pleased either!
exactly! and as long as I watch her while she has the bone, I don't mind once in a while
hello everyone
There are some great superlatives today. There'd be a contest between Rod Stewart and Bonny Tyler for the ra8/45 voice.
Good morning Becca.
hi becca!
Hobbit now standing on the couch, back paws on windowsill
ty Haz !!
Sadly, no contest between Chris Eubank and Mike Tyson for the li**iest boxer.
You're welcome, Karys.
BACK paws on windowsill?
OO**! front! LMAO
Subtle readjustment of mental image....
Otherwise she'd be mooning your mother....
LOL Haz!!
she could probably manage the back paws thing, too, if she tried
dont you just HATE it when your brain says one thing and you type something completely different!
It's all that knotwork and colouring in.
wait til you get my age and it happen all the time when you speak as well !!!!
tell me about it!
My brain is dead. Hint for ai4/4?
oh, you got there already then !!!
Hi everyone--another 300+ grid!
ai4/4 - last part of a breed of dog beginning with c (a terrier, or a small pile of stones) Or what we breathe, plus consonant.
Hello Scrabbler - a nice big grid again.
Kary,we must be about the same age then,my brain never knows what my mouth is going to say :)
right....200 to go, back in a bit
another car! BARK! BARK!
Hi ya Scrabbler:)
And circulating?
flinging
hodag, for some reason yesterday, no one was as old as me !!!
Hello everone
Hello bun.
Hodag---where the heck have you been?? I haven't seen you in months. How is mousey?
will keep an eye on grid for clues as I pass by with the vacuum !!
I understand! :)
Nut will revolt when she finds out that "poos" is not an acceptable grid
*grid word
We took a place at the lake until fall. I come now and then to do laundry. Mousey is fine,he has been camping alot this summer, :}
G'd morning Babblers!
Tell mousey that I said hello and to enjoy the summer.
Hello Lori!
I have 10 minutes before work. Can i whip off 310 words?
Hi Queen of Nova Scotia
good luck lori
Course you can!
Ready, set, go...and she's off!
I will do that if I can catch up with him.
Good morning Babblers
G'd morning Haz, Scrabbler. ***Rubs eyes, wondering if that's really Hodag***
(I'm humouring her)
Good morning Zen!
G'd morning Zen, t&t. :-)
Hi Zen
hey,hey LoriP how the heck are you?:)
LOL Haz
Hi Haz, lori, scrab.....
It really is Hodag. ***faints from shock***
OH<NO...................:)
You'll never get 310 words in 10 minutes if you're groggy!
I have 8 4 letter words already. Almost done.....
Hurry, get the smelling salts. In the meantime, Hazel, slap her silly.
She's coming round - you just need to be firm with her.
Too late, I'm already silly. Ditto for senseless.
I'm scared of compensation claims.
If the plural of mouse is mice, then what is the plural of mo 5?
Slap her with a wet fish....:}
You don't want more than one of them, Zen.
The plural is stampede!
Is it the same principle as sheep? See one, you've seen them all.
Lorie your a breath of fresh air........lol
Ok, I'm halfway through - better do some work. Bye everyone
Bye Becca!
Later Becca, have a good one.
Bye BeccaLorum
by Becca
So the mo5 is like the single entrail then?
To err is human, to forgive is ovine....
18 K words is 14 too many for me right now
random question, was Professor Yaffle from Bagpuss a woodpecker?
Absolutely, Zen.
bbl
The vision I have is of a woodpecker, Atalante, though I wasn't much into Bagpuss.
Lots of pictures on Google images. The ornithologists among us could confirm.
btw, how is the S.E. diet going, Haz & Ata ?
We're still in negotation about broadcasting rights.
oh the mo9 is a dumb word!!
There's a k in this grid? ***ignores that reality***
they aren't that bad (the k words) most are plurals
the o9 is sillier
Later peri
No ignoring reality if you want all your words. It's in some nice ones.
No book available yet, then? ; i am eagerly awaiting it!
Ack!
We're waiting until the fuss about Harry Potter dies down. Then we'll hit the shelves.
The clock on the wall says I must wander off to the mines.
okay that is a silly world
***pouting***
So soon, Lori?
Thanks for the chat, great to see ya' again Hodag.
just imagine coming back to the grid.. it'll get you through your day... maybe
Bye, Lori--we will miss you!
bye Lori
Good to see you again, Lori.
Yes haz, unfortunately the boss doesn't like it when i wander in at my leisure. Go figure?
Help with mo9 and o9 please?
What a meanie, Lori!
Po4/5 man. He doesn't understand babble, then?
Y'all have 'yerselves a great day. babble will have to go on hold. :(
bye lori
See you later!
Good luck everyone, enjoy the day!
o9 is a compound - the last part lifts up
later Lorie
mo9 - similar to a body part
:) Im on the roll :)
Time for a break so that the canine and I can access our external environment for the facilitation of exercise. That's how I would fill in an official form to say that I'm taking the dog for a walk. I haven't carried out an official risk assessment though... Bye for now!
bye Haz - enjoy!
see ya Haz
hi again
Hi

what's up with these 300 grids? i didn't bother to finish yesterday's
Our office is highly dysfunctional and toxic--I avoid the nonsense whenever possible and just take good care of the kids and parents.
I have been playing, but usually late at night, Lynxxx
pu8 - starts like a ladies accessory but would refer to lips!
brb breakfast is ready
Feather, I know that you are feeling huge so I wanted to boost your self-image. You are a little mama with a big baby growing inside you.
enjoy feather!
I just haven't had time to babble..period..was hoping for a 100 ish something grid today..so I could do one and finish...

Hi GrannyM!
hi granny
excuse me :) hello everyone!! got caught lurking!
hi granny... how are you?
gotcha!
i'm ok except got another "treat" today :(
Granny you have been nabbed
oh?
ok.....do we dare ask?...
"chemo treat"
Poor Granny - how long does it take to get over it?
ugh...am sorry... how are you feeling
Hugs Granny. Sends you better treats of chocs and hugs
about a week but then i have another scheduled :( it's 2 weeks on, 1 week off!
<hugs> is there anything that makes you feel better?...tea?..choc?
How much longer have you got to go with it? You do seem to be handling it really well ( I had it for a while and really didn't function well)
usually i have to sleep thru it, but diabetes kicked in last week and i went hyper for a few days...fun time :(
( granny...I just had a lovely visit with my aunt... - am telling you this for inpiration - she has in her life time , approaching 70, had 3 separate types of cance; skin, breast and then non hodgkins lymphoma, and she is currently and thank God, cancer free for 7+ years )
oh sh** - poor poor Granny! not fun at all!
( and tests showed that not one was related to any other )
that is encouraging but i have cancer in the lung and spine, so in reality i don't stand a chance but keep on hoping!
GRANNY NEVER SAY NEVER. I know off people that are meant to be dead (at 16) and they are now 27
Guten Morgen, Babblers, why is the first to 4/5 giving me so much trouble? can someone help me?
there is always hope... I have another friend who had, liver, prostrate, lung and brain... prostrate and liver spots gone... lungs diminishing and brain originally diminished and currently unchanging...
GrannyM - you just don't know so hang in there! they are doing amazing things - so if not today maybe tomorrow they'll find something just for you!
my family is my inspiration to keep on truckin'....and of course babbling!
( his key was, positive outlook and got into drug trial programs... he read the lance armstrong book and it bacame his 2nd bible )
Inge - wasn't it you who said it when you first came on?
Damn Straight grannie.

morning lore
hey carlee
wow.... we must all be buried in here...
you read my mind i was also thinking maybe the big grid scared most people away
needing help with the 2 ni
it seems to be flowing very nicely got my first 100 and i am grateful there are no Cs lol
Hi - back for another bash - and just found the ha7.48 that grandmothers always tell you to carry
hello lynxxx
ni 5 -- add most of the spanish 6; ni 6 --- add the spanish 6
ni5.10 is a person of japanese descent living in the US - ends in 2 vowels
hello babble
babble hola espanol?
hello, loredana .. nope
so its just being a babbler you get to know foreign languages?
thanks lynxx
thanks lynxxx an d Babble!
Hi Loredana & BabRab
Hello, lynxxx

i must say...u lose your "knack" for doing these being away from it
I second that carlee
tosses carlee a box of knacks
thanks BR... I need all the knacks I can find
glad that wasn't knick**s
how can a word be found in enable but not in the grid.. its there, but it says its not in the dictionary
maybe there is different versions of Enable? I now when I started rita was accepted for several months - but not anymore
umm.. interesting
(Know!)
I have a complete mental block with the ar4 word..i NEVER NEVER NEVER see it
it's probably just not used for this grid but will be in another one :)
need a clue carlee?
hello granny
I suspect dr god has limited word rejections to not in the grid or not in the dictionary. So, when a word in dictionary is not in the grid, we are told it is not in the dictionary as the default rejection.
no..i found it..but I never see it first time through the grid
hi loredana and everyone :)
TY Carlee - I checked I had it, and did, but not the plural
glad my blindness was of assistance lynxx
ok 100 more to find but gotta go...bbl
bye Granny - lovely to see you again
good luck, grannymaxx
Hello, everyone.
take care granny....try to get some rest
Hi Gramma
hi gramma

Hi Eva
morning eva
hows everyone today?

Didn't think you had been around much Gramma - family keeping you busy?
WTG!
Hoorahs for T&T !!
woopee!! TandT well done
today's clip is very disturbing
<POMPOM TOSS> for toad..woot woot
hello gramma
Yes lynxxx. Plus we don't have a phone or internet at the lake.
T&T - did you see the gymnast one? that was disturbing!
nope, today is the first I've finished in about 3 weeks.. I've been on vacation
toadandtoadette, what are you refering to?
you have to have Babble Expert. if you do, you get a video clip when you finish the grid
hi, loredana
alright everyone. good luck with your quest to insanity! see you tomorrow
what was teh gymnast one about lynxx
Oh I still don't quite follow. What is Babble Expert?
bye T&T
take care toad
see you soon toad
Gramma - Lickety has written a program which 'overlays' Babble - it is excellent. If you would like him to send it to you, simply email him - contact email on his list
lt
TY,lynxxx.
if you email lickety he has deveoled a software that meld babble with lickety's clues and it has resourse like enable dictionary and more words and reverse lookup all in pull down menus
Madeleine is awake...BBL
Carlee - the gymnast was just a young girl - but quite freaky - really I think she was a contortionist (that spelling is wrong I am sure)
ah..ok.. I rarely watch the videos.... but am on a faster computer so have enabled the videos
I give up - List for me
how many words are there today?
310
310 today
that's it? there were more yesterday, and today seems even easier
two thirds done having a 10min break bbs
the superlative gets a workout in this grid
sure does!
well, ive certainly felt the MO7/36 lately...
be kind to yourself, Eva, and banish the blah blahs
and my ha4.5 is the la8.60 it has ever been!
yeah, it happens now + then...and im under quite a bit of stress at the moment, so im not surprised my mood is less-than-chipper... things will turn around soon, im sure!
trying to conjure the image, lynxxx
firefoz
lol - twas a bit of a fib really - my hair is quite dry!

Good morning

morning trident, 310
good morning
gee, are we going to have one any time soon that I can actually finish in a day lol
Hi Trident. Good things come to those who wait...well, anyway you'll get faster with practice
goodnite everyone - I think I'll finish this in the morning
cya, lynxxx
night lynxxx see you tomorrow'
what is it with these hideously big grids?
Good Morning... I was just thinking the same thing!
Ach; 310.....no, probably shouldn't even *start* this one! :-þ
Good afternoon, all. One starts to ask oneself if one has been Babbling for too long when one gets 250 words on the first random run through of the grid and, although the or4/4 mo5/16 & mo9/96 are the first words one sees, the first words one types are pe6/21 and the 3 'ps' words! Well, that's me today. LOL
go ahead mikey -- dive in!!
morning klaural yps mikey and jacula
yeah, Jac, you need a life. :)
no comment jac
now, whydon't you grab some random words and clue us all in. :)
:D.
lol; easy for you to say, EvaNadine.....not knowing my time limitations here! :-þ Afternoon, Loredana! :-)
I am so not finishing this today! I have sooo much to do this week
BBS. Got some washing to hang out.
oh, a little cant hurt. ;)
Sheesh; ai4,4.....hmm, i've tried *ever* possible 4 letter combination starting with 'ai'.....and *none* of them have worked! :-/
a strangre in our midst, Hi Mickey
AI4 = what you breathe + another consonant
it is an iron... sounds like it as well
hello inge
hi, loredanan, Mickey, ai is the stuff we breathe plus a cons, the second one in my name
thanks, Eva. I haven;t made it to that corner of the grid, so, I took it as a freebie. :)
YW kl :)
lol; a 'stranger', Inge? :-þ Hast Du mich schon vergessen? :-/
mikey is no stranger...just hasnt been around in a while. :)
Oh, man; so it is, Inge; i think i'm *blind* sometimes! :-þ lol; danke!!! ;-)
Ja; i've been *very* busy, EvaNadine! :-þ
Nein, aber Du warst verschwunden
ok diving under, need 89 words, and now the dog wants in,
really? another 300+ grid? oy.
Nicht vollständig, Inge; ich war sehr beschäftigt, und ich habe die Feindschaft hier nicht genossen! :-/
hello redshoes
helloooooo
Yeh, redshoes.....oy vey iz mir! ;-)
might make me mo4/6 and po4/6 in the corner!
Oh ja; i know what that's like, Inge.....sometimes, i think one of my purposes in life, is to serve as doorperson for animals; dogs want in, cat wants out.....cat wants in, dogs want out, etc.! :-þ```
time to get the kids to swim lessons, ttyl!
Know what you mean, Mikey. Even tho my cat has a catflap, it much prefers to ask a human to open the door.
Reminds me of the Fat Freddie's Cat cartoons. The cat stands by the door and says, 'Meeowtnow'!
hello hydra
Ja; i'm planning to install one of those in one of our doors *soon*, Hydra!!! :-þ One big enough for my dog to fit through, too.....Heinrich's dog wouldn't be a problem with a kitty-sized flap; he's even * smaller* than my cat!!! :-þ
bye klaurel see you soon
Bet they won't use it, Mikey. They'll still expect you to open the door.Loredana - hi!
lol; could be, Hydra.....but, i'm sure they can be taught to.....well, ok; the dogs, anyhow! :-þ
You know how it'll end up. You'll use the cat flap and they'll use the doors!
lolololol; oh ja, Hydra.....i could *just* see me crawling through a dog/cat flap!!! :-þ```
Do you ever do stand-up? There's the germ of an idea for a routine here...
No; i'm not a comedian, Hydra.....
Ja; too bad though....that *would* be a good idea for a routine, if i was! ;-)
Feel free to pass it on!!!
Ok, Hydra; if i have occasion to, i will! ;-)
Well, nice talking to you. Must do some work now!
FIREWORKS!:-)
... And it's back to work for me. Happy Babbling, all. xx
jacula. I am not worthy (as I bow to you). congrats on finishing so early. How long have you been working on this grid?
yay, congrats, jac1 hi everyone.. here to babble a bit
Fireworks for me and now off to bed before midnight
hello aloy

Hello Aloy! I'm back to get some more words.
me too.. happy hunting!
Thank you - it's been fun so far.
i agree, nice grid..
Cross checking 200 email addys, goind square eyed, quick 3 min break. Hi Haz, Aloy and all
Hmm; why isn't 'earnt' accepted.....it's a legitimate past-tense of 'earn' in the English language.....and, it's *in* the puzzle! :-/
hi there, FMitch! you certainly deserve a babble break!
Hello FMitch - you need to get those eyes uncrossed!
Beautiful day out there and I've had to wait in for a courier, there is no justice, mind you getting lots done.
That's life. Speaking of which, I had a hard time deciding which book to buy when I was downtown today. One on offer was Chantelle's life story. 'Live the dream' or something. It had sparkly writing just like Coleen McLoughlin's tome.
ou8,45 please
ou8 - a compound word meaning the opposite of lift inside.
Or, the opposte of put down inside, to be precise.
Thank Haz, just couldn't see it
You're welcome.
Hang on a couple more weeks Haz and Charlie from BB willjoin the gliterati of literature
I'll have to save up.
LOL
That'll be next year's Booker prize shortlist started.
ooh, i am enjoying the "iest" ending sequence!
It's great, isn't it, Aloy? All those contests for who's the best or worst.
(-:
Aloy you will get someof the biggies that way
i know, FMitch... they are almost like freebies!
Back to the addy list, must press on.
See you later - I'm going to make a cup of coffee to fortify me.
come back to us when you can, FMitch..
Will do Aloy, have fun :)
.. and i will bbs too.. babble break time, 59 to find
See you shortly Aloy.

Oh, i'm sorry; there is a clue there....thanks.....
that's okay Mikey, sometimes i get so far into the grid, i don't see clues in chat
oo6/18 please
Hiya everyone, and special greetings to Mikey, long time no speaky!!!!!!!
Ja; got it now....vielen Dank! ;-)
yw
Oh yesss; hello there yourself, movieman!!! :-D LTNS!!!

Just checked it Mikey.....v. interesting!!!!!
Sorry Aloy, was stuck in the grid for a while - you're welcome.

thanks Babble
ep6,21?
hope your grid dive was productive, Haz..(-:
Indeed it was, Aloy.
internet models do this, pigeonman?
ep 6 extends the ep 4 to a plural
Or a model named Ethel who goes by her initial :)
ooh, did you finish, Haz?
ty
Yes, I did.
yay, wahoo, kudos, yipee... hardly ever get to congratulate you, so.. wow, wtg, Haz!!!!
just want to make an annoucement - I hate City Traffic!!!
Thank you - I normally tick the no publicity box!
ditto Haz Saintfranny, I agree!
I know that... so I asked to pull it out of you, lol (-:
that is, ditto aloy's hurrah for haz!
How are you coming along yourself? (and thanks ch1212)
ugh it's just So frustrating! complete standstill on the freeway for over 20 minutes and made me Totally late for something important! ARGH.... ok.. working on letting it go......
ES6
doing ok, Haz.. 46 left and I am just going through for a second time now... so.. all is well.. not too many weirdo words today, but I'm still learning some newbies, for example pu8.50 made me smile trying to visualize it.. (-:
Breathe saintfranny ... over in Boston the other day there was a traffic tie-up for almost TWELVE hours! Lines miles long inching along
ooh Pom Pom Twirl for haz
es6 - add the pastry products associated with apples or meat.
( not often I get to twirl the pompoms for haz !... gotta take advantage when I can )
Yes, the pu8 lip contest would be a sight to behold.
12 hours??? omg that is beyond road rage.
that's right, carleekat... shake those poms for Haz!!!
Thanks carlee - are you at work?
ty, haz
lol, Haz!... I was thinking of someone with the biggest handbag..
nope..home today... just popped back to find a word or two while my daughter and I take a break from watching a show together
Yes, an accident in a construction zone of the highway was caused because a metal grate flew up and smashed into a car -- driver pretty injured but alive.
The ra8/45 voice contest might be hard to listen to.
I suspect a lawsuit will be forthcoming against the highway dept or the contractors
arrgh, not good ch1212... recently I was in a jam caused by some dodo that rearended a state trooper!
ooohhh, would NOT want to be that driver's shoes :)
i think construction was the reason today - why cant they do that stuff @ night???
either of the last two se6,18?
Seriously, I've wondered that myself -- especially on those stretches with no residential areas. They could easily set up lighting. Would be cooler for the workers, too.
se6/18 - se plus a rearrangement of foot digits.
se6/18 - the one who does the action described in se5/10
is just better all around for me to Stay Home!
pe6 clue please? I'm pretty sure I have the first 4, but wow, cannot monkey!
ty gottem both
pe6 - domesticated and beloved animals followed by two vowels.
You're welcome, pigeon.
thanks, haz - got it
That's good, ch1212.
first po7 please
po7/32 - plural version of old-fashioned term for what the verse writers write.
Or insert a vowel into the pretty bunches of flowers (po6/21)
thanks haz
mi7
You're welcome.
go it
oh my goodness, the first ur5.12 about wore out my monkies.. ending with three vowels as it does..
That r must feel lonely marooned with all those vowels.
yes, indeedy... surrounded by vowels!
somewhat like the double ss must feel in as5.10..
the ps's are driving me crazy, help please
But they can keep each other company.
true, Haz.. very true
ps5/12 - the first is ps, followed by three vowels, of which the last two form a latin plural.
ps5/12 - the second, is structured in the same way, this time ending in a later vowel.
pe4 look, pe4 urinates, pe4 spanish money, pe4 irritating insect
oh, sorry, pab--misunderstood
ps4/5 - a word to attract your attention in a way that keeps others in the dark
thanks Haz, that's alright Une
You're welcome pabtrek.
must go.. appt to get my bushy locks tamed.. bbl to find the final 11.. nice chatting with you all.. ttfn
to7/32's please
Bye Aloy!
to7/32 - the flapping thing on a boat, the one that goes highest.
thanks Haz
You're welcome.
Fireworks!! I wish we could have a smaller grid on work nights. Its frustrating when you try words that are rejected a few times, then once using the list it suddenly gets accepted. Had my whinge now so I'll go to bed. Managed 202 word b4 using the list tonite.
I'm going to take a break - back later.
hello everyone
morning all -- YAY anike!
did everyone leave? :-(
i am still here, working hard. lol

i need to grab a shower, but before i go, i gotta protest "krispie" not being there! lol!
Hi, feather. How are you feeling?
pretty good. getting a massage soon!
Oooh... good for that lower back and tired legs. You have been amazing throughout the summertime!
it's been an easy summer, compared to the one when i was pg with daniel
What's different now, feather?
interestingly, i found last week that my sorest muscle group was actually my shoulders!
it was a lot hotter that summer. this one has been fairly mild for us.
Makes a huge difference... plus, knowing what to expect this time around probably contributes to an easier time, too.
ARe your shoulders sore from lugging Daniel around?
yup. i'm going to see if she knows any reflex points to rub to encourage things! gotta hop in the shower now, though, if i want time to shave my legs. bbl!
probably, and probably from the laptop comuter too.
See you soon!
Feather...my daughter was due 8/24 but young Tyler came last Wed.
the single O word from the first O in first column?
congrats and wow chiley! *poof*
HI, chiley! congratulations on your new baby grandson
can i have a cluefor the last to7/32 pleaseeeee?
if I had it pink i'd clue it for you!
congratulations chiley...or should i say granny, is he your 1st grandchild?
EJ, I think that one is plural for desert watering places...
Thanks...I'm so glad he's here! Yes, first all around
hi jakes mum thanks
tks scarlet but that came from the 3d column O
The to7/32 is the uppermost piece of canvas on a ship, pink
She had lost 2, so I was a nervous wreck throughout the last 9 months
am sill working on it though! :)
my mum says the beauty of having a grandchild is that you can love them and do everything with them as if they were your own, but have the pleasure of handing them back lol
Oh, chiley... now she is a mother. YOu must be so relieved and happy!
he is truly a blessing!!
EJ, try the double vowel start, and beginning of the Russian despot for the oo4
scarletits the next to7/32 i need!
Blessings and more blessings to you all, chiley.
Thank you
Not there yet, pink.
have that one scarlet, that's from the bottom O first column
Gleep... I have all my O words, EJ, but running out of ideas for your single O
oa/4- a type of oven
congrats, chiley! had our 1st grandbaby in March and I tell everyone it's all the fun and none of the responsibility!
I can never determine which letter is the starter, and which word comes from where. How do you know that, Summer? I can tell, of course, when it's a single letter, but when they are piggybacked, I'm lost...
Hi, mom23!
Gosh, we have many first-time grandmothers in Babble... Aloy is expecting her first one in the early fall... :-)
I can tell because I just found it. :)
LOL... that's a good answer!
hi scarlet--i've been in and out all morning and lurking picking up clues -- so thanks all!
Good to see you all again!
lol
good afternoon all
Hi, kat!
hey red...
( I haven't forgotten.... I just haven't been to the store I told u about... life these last 2 weeks has been the dash type shops ..dash in..grab what you need and dash off )
Kat... my life has been a three-alarm circus lately... I know what you are talking about. There is no rush... I haven't been able to set aside two hours to write back to friends... I should be about bald now... but I'm smiling... see? I am smiling.
hey carlee
WOOHOO..smilin' is a good thing... 3 ring here..but happy 3 ring...afternoon/ evenin' pink
Righto!!

You get a gold medal for this one, pink!! :-)
Oh... I thought, with everything she recently went through, that she was older. She is very mature, kat. I know about the pre-teen, middle 20s, though! :-)
i feel as if dr.god is punishing us, the last 3 grids have been huge, but thanks scarlet *wipes sweaty forehead and sighs*
yea..she is mature... most of her girlfriendds 1 year older... ( which is a big deal at this age it seems but the older ones seek her out )
*Hands soft, cool towel to pinkhat, who is breathing heavily*
passing pink a cool glass of lemonade
Scarlet! So good to see you! How are things in NC? Hope all is well with you and yours
Then she is the centered one, kat. Aloy!!! YIppee... so good to see you! Great. Crazy. Hot. Insane. And, you and yours?
does that worry you carlee? LOL Scarlet and Carlee..you both always make me laugh!!
clues for the es words plz?
lol, just about the same as you!
The es4 just repeats itself, jakes... adn the other, 6/21 word means to be sneaky while watching something (present tense).
es + the same 2 letters
es6/21 catches sight of
not at all...the older ones seeking her out...are good kids with centred families...
*passing red a matching red nose* shall we do a tap dance for an encore red?
But that shows you that she is beyond her years, kat...a nd that comes down to coming from a good family.
glad to hear it carlee as a year difference is alot at that age and i'd hate to think they are influencing your baby with nonesense
And fake mustaches, kat. Pink... do you like accordian music?
thanks red... its nice to hear things like that... and thanks pink...
oh..I have a ukelele somewhere abouts here????
I'll unpack the leis and grass skirts... pink, do like Don HO? LOL
not getting the es6, am i going to kick myself
ES+ plural pastries/ mince, pumpkin, etc
( actually they ALL have older brothers..and I have noticed that girls with older brothers tend to not get boy crazy as early as those who do not...they all think boys are just a pain in the ar4,4 )
es + pumpkin **** at thanksgiving
Tiny Bubbles..in the wine...make me happy.... make me feel fine... TINY BUBBLES....

Evening (or whenever !!) all. Only 3 to go on this mammoth grid. Any clues for the 3rd. TR5/10, please? Oh Bab, your jokes are truly dreadful, and never fail to make me laugh!
ni 5 -- add most of the spanish 6 and all of the spanish 6 for the 6.18
thx babble
ha 4.5 -- add I been working on the *ai*road
thx bab
mo 5 --- what grievers do
any penalties for non-existent words? ;-)
Or SA6/18? Pretty please?
wasn't oopsie a word in a previous grip?
pes
tr 5 --- add a donkey or posterior
then i would have negative points
oops, wrong box
any questions now, larfee?
sa 6.18 --- the heathy ones as opposed to the in + as 6.18
yup...any penalty for non-existent words? ;-)
nope
cool, thanks :-) and it says 310 words in total? is that determined by the bot or has someone found that many words?
peso
for me most of the *words* in the grid are non-existent
argh, wrong box again
lol :-D
dr god's program determines the number of words to be found to finish any particular grid
lol...'mits' is not in the dictionary??? weird
need the ki 6 and 7 please
No, larfee; that's because it's spelled 'mitts'.
many find more and others have to settle for less
'cos it's mitts, larfee!
lol...it's 3.42am and I think my brain is asleep though my body is here
ki 6 --- add the ****l passages you breath thougth; pl
ki 6 --- add the ****l passages you breath thougth; pl
TY, Bab. I'm SURE SA6 is NOT a real word, but hey!
ty bab
Ja; i know that feeling *all* too well, Larfee! :-þ
I go in to chat rooms now and ask to speak to the sa 6's
Yes, BabbleRabble; that's always preferable! ;-)
I'm supposed to be working on my research thesis but just discovered this and I'm a Boggle junkie!!!
I am doomed :-(
if you like we can petition to have you removed from the site?
lol, i can relate lar - i'm a grad student
lol, please no...I'm loving it :-)
Hmm, Larfee; except this is „Babblee“, not „Boggle“! ;-)
mikey: it's very similar in concept
Ach; this thing does *not* like the quotation marks on my keyboard.....have to use apostrophes, i guess! :-/
F*I*R*E*W*O*R*K*S for Liz. Thanks for the clues Bab (and all those who inadvertantly gave me clues too)
Ja; so i've heard, Larfee.....i've never tried 'Boggle' though, so i really don't know what it's like.....
what are your scores at?
need the 2nd tr5/18 please
mikey: it's fun with like-minded friends :-D
i have 80 words left, lar
Well, ja; i'm *sure* it is, Larfee.....like *any* good game! ;-) I'm a real Scrabble/Literati addict.....does anyone here play the Literati game, on Yahoo?
i play tangleword at iwin, but not literati
joes: wowwa
Yahoo's 'Word Racer' game is really *good*, too.....
Oh; i haven't heard of that one.....
mikey: ah I heard Literati is good...I'm a Scrabble freak too...sigh, just haven't had time for games these past years...
Anyone? 2nd tr5/18? por favor
hi everyone - arrrgh another monster grid! ;)
Lickety's video is kinda creepy.
Oh ja, Larfee??? :-) Hmm; perhaps we should play, sometime? :-)
hiya Liz!
Hi, Foffle.....
tr 5 -- add r*** has its privileges
Ja, it is; but i only have 26 words left to go.....
Hi Mikey
ty again babble
hi, sis. I'm just about to email you now I've got the puzzle finished.
i give you full credit if i make it through today's board.
mikey: how long did it take you to get down to 26 words?
I haven't been on long and still 218 left Liz. Your e-mail will be a welcome break
Hmm; well......i haven't been timing myself, Larfee, so i'm not really sure.....i've been back and forth, while doingi other things, to work on it a little at a time.....
lol...I've still got 218 words left
Ach; 'doing'.....you'll have to excuse my typing! :-þ
Shal I email the words, sis. JOKING, folks!!
time to sleep...have fun everyone :-D and thanks for introducing me to the game!
LMAO
sleep well larfee
Right, off to write my emails , long overdue. Tomorrow, people!
see ya sis
need the mo 9 please...
hey kidzo's
howdy folks
this place is quiet...off to eat
mo 9 anyone?
Joes....compound word
Joes, did you get it? Use the previous word in the compound.
yeah, i figured, but no not yet jee
second words starts with L
why does my timer suddenly say less than 1 min. left?
just ignore it...still have plenty of time
is the l part a common word jee?
It is a L4 word, very common
the compound word is not as common
L word means "similar."
omg, i got it just before your clue, thanks jee
that was agonizing
yw Joes
sometimes they are....:)
they all are for me at this point
any help with the ps words jee? i don't know where to start
keep trying...it gets easier as you recognize common babble words...
eh, i do okay until the fill in the blanks time...
then it's slow going.
two of the ps words are followed by three vowels...the third ps word is what you say when you want to get someone's attention...It doesn't have vowels. If you get really stuck use the A2Z link on Lickety's page.
thx jee, appreciate it
any time...babblers are usually very helpful...Just keep asking, and someone will help you
My vocabulary is always building from this game.
I can imagine
goodmorning everyone
hi lynxx
HI lynxx :)
Thank *goodness* for that.....all done!!! :-D
Hi Joe
good morning lynxxx
Mikey - is that you!
yayyyyyyy wtg Mikey
Congratulations Mikey
Hi again Lynxxx!
Hmm, lynxxx? :-/ Who might *you* be, 'cos i don't recall that name on here? *scratches head.....get splinters*
Thank you, thank you!!! ;-)
i didn't know there was basically a cheat on lickety's page
it's awesome, thanks jee
vn mikey
No Joe - Its a resource!
You can think of it as a cheat, or you can just use it to add to your fun...there really are no winners, just people playing a fun game.
Congrats Mikey
Hmm; it's not a 'cheat', Joesdinner.....it just tells you how many words of each letter combination there are, and how many letters in each of them.....you *still* have to *know* and FIND them! :-þ
yeah, it's good, cause then i don't have to pester people for the random little ones i've never heard of
eh, the a to z seems like cheating...but i guess it's no different than asking for clues
Ja; exactly JeeWhiz.....it's just a helpful tool, doesn't tell you what the words *are*.....it's not like this is a competition, anyhow.
Oh, hmm.....what's *that*? :-/ I thought you were referring to the 'Lickety's Babble Clues' list page?
It's just a very fun, very addictive game....
hey Joe, take all the help you can get, lol!
i will definitely do that, sugar. : )
hi
Absolutey, that's what we all do!
Hi Angelina
hi angelina
welcome back, Mikey! Loooong time no see!
Nearly done Lynxxx?
I don't think of it as cheating, but if you feel that way, then don't do it....:)
hey Une, long time no speak to you!
hi ang
Sugar - 3rd bash but still 65 left - using list now though
Hi Une
so, Mikey, where have you been forever?
hey, joe did you read the email from gabby and join the group?
i haven't checked email yet today ang, but cool, i will do that.
lol Lynxxx, my third time back too - 82 to go.........
oh, ok she mentioned in a posting that she sent you an invite
awesome.
Well, JeeWhiz; if you read my profile, which i've just updated, then you'll know! ;-)
okay, Mikey...I'll read it...welcome back
Ach; i'm going to have to redo some of the words and punctuation in my profile.....this site does *not* like German characters/punctuation, at all! :-/
Mikey, which character do you play in Chaperone?
that is odd, since this norwegian character is doing quite well
heya babrab, artsy
Sheesh; i had a major typo in there, too.....so, it's just as well i've edited it just now! :-þ```
do you use an qwerty keyboard Mikey?
Robert Martin.....
artlady...haven't seen you forever either...Hi!
morning BR
hiya, 'nut!
I use a German one, Foffle.....
Hello, nut and lynxxx
Hey all. I've been playing, just not chatting. Otherwise I can't finish!
we have azerty here and it drives me nuts!
Help me out Mikey. Is he the romantic lead? I saw it last spring in NYC, but don't remember the character's names.
well we miss you artlady, you add so much to the mix
Ok; now that's all done, i have other things to do, unfortunately.....so, see you all another time, whenever i can *find* any time to Babble! :-þ```
Yes, Artlady; the groom.....
nice to meet you Mikey
Which is rather funny, in my case.....a real acting 'challenge' for me! ;-)
You're so sweet, 'nut! I have 3 weeks of summer vacation left...
Ja; you too, Foffle! :-)
auf Deutsch, Mikey? Sehr interessant!
i'm jealous art...to be able to kick back on the days of stifling heat....but then i'd have to deal with kids rest of the time. so there's a trade off.
hey nut
carlee sweetie honey baby!!!
Yes, but my students are awesome. ... most of the time... Amazing I can say that after all these years!! One of the benefits of teaching art.

percival ignatius???
did you know that i've named feathers baby?
that's cruel
no snot...it's a great name
percy? iggy? poor child...
i love the name!
;-)
ep6 is plural of ep4
thank you dorens!
nut, however the "odd perfect number" theory, that one has baffled me since birth
love the picture dorens
the odd perfect number eh? i'll wrap my brain around it for you knight.
ty nut!
NurseGladys - now I remember that character!
the oo 6/7 combo (if it is one) plz
just called in got 69 words . Off again good night folks
good clean comedy
what's a perfect number again? one that's the sum of its divisors?
what good is comedy without poo?
oo6 00 + cons + actress *** McGraw
never heard of that word, lynx
never heard of that word, lynx
op 5/12 please
bye Bill
thanks lynxx (there's 2 i never would have gotten)
I use that one all the time, lynxxx, as in "oo6? you don't say!"
babble doesn't like poos!!!
neither does Text Twist!
bah....poo is the best form of comedy
but pe* is ok!
weird isn't it?
anyone know what the oo6 means?
help pls. op 5/12
No clue, Joe. I keep getting the line from Sweet Betsy from Pike as the only mention of it..."sing toorali, oorali, oorali..." or some such.
erk!
oo6 doen't seem to appear in any ditionary
yeah, i tried to look it up, but couldn't find it
op 5...add what the 7 deadly are...
ty art
pe 6/21..
?
Hi folks. It is too hot to mountain bike for now--86 degrees--so I guess I will Babble a bit and eat a popsicle. Hey--my buddy, Joe, is back!
hi scrabb!!! : )
pe6.21 extends on the cats & dogs with 2 vowels
hi scrabs
scrabsy boo!!!
what flavor popsicle?
Hi Scrabbler
Yes, Nut, I thought of you at 6 Am when I typed in "poos" and was DENIED.
li 6.30 is silly
awww poor scrabs...go listen to babblecast instead.
ty lynxx
Ha, I actually have 4 single, sugar-free popsicles---cherry, grape and orange. I figure with sugar-free I can have 4.
have only a few minutes, but will listen to babblecast this evening for sure
Mrs Jean-Pierre----you must be so excited about your trip to France.
I live on those popsicles. I'm diabetic
groovy dorens....i need some questions for dr. nut
hmmmm will have to try to be clever tho, don't know if I have that ability aujourd'hui nut
Dear Dr Nut, when will we know all the words?
ooh la la, scrabs!
ok, joe needs a nap cause his eyes are sore from perusing lickety's a to z lists. thx for help all. see you later.
bichon--I love them
Hello!!!
Bye Joe
bye Joe
hi piink
Hi Lil--cheering up at all?
Hi Pink
what'd you call me dorens?
hi kids! *settling goggles firmly over eyes, taking deep breath* Here goes! *splash*
FIZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Scrabbler, what's your favorite flavor. Mine's purple
lol nut. au jour d'hui. today ( am going to france on thursday, setting the stage)
hi fizzz
Hi Fiz
ah yeah...kay
im ok-ish scrabbler thanks for asking....you?
It varies on what I am craving. I have had the tropical ones recently but just bought the regualr flavors--orange, cherry, and grape.
hey there pinky
I noticed they only had the tropical flavors in the summer
i like the weird lime - mostly b/c I like that strange green glow around my mouth afterwards.
The tropical flavors don't have grape, but banana [yuck]
I am tired--could not fall asleep or stay asleep last night so it has been an effort to get through today. But work was not bad, I shopped for food, and I am here until it cools off and I can bike.
nutty, my friend, how goes it?
I like raspberry, but I don't know if that comes in sugar-free
great fizzy...chillin like a villain
the pink, I think, is rasberry
banana sounds icky. pineapple might be good though... is that an option?
banana sounds better than pineapple
what is a popsicle?
I don't thinks so, it's banana, orange and a pink one
I make flavored ice cubes too
*gasp* - she don't know?
Lil--US term for a frozen flavored treat on a stick
*at the ready, arm flexed* armwrestle for banana vs. pineapple, nut?
*wedges elbow into table* - bring it on fizzery
pinkhat, we even have fudgicles, frozen chocolate pops.
Yikes! the Popsicle*TM website is a little scary - I thought it might have a nice picture but it has a frightening sand creature:
http://www.popsicle.com/
i prefer the creamsicles
we call them lollies in England evanonut that is why i asked
nut, who's the referee? I think we need one...
popsicle - we call them icypoles in Aust
silly foreigners - pinky will ref i bet
I am listening to the Babblecast from yesterday--funny beginning!!
how about it, pink? watch nut closely, she cheats
a lollipop is just candy on a stick that you suck on. I even eat popsicle in the winter.
nobody needs a referee i was asking a question fiz
no ref it is....*flexes and waits for the chick - er fiz to step up*

(I guess those of us that don't should add a 'currently reading' thingey to our bios.
please you are making me feel gulty . because the time i used to spend reading i spend here
TO - Sorry!
Hi again.
hi jellen!
I'm currently reading Alexander Mcall Smith's '44 Scotland Street', as recommended by Babbler Hazel. It's not really 'grabbing' me though... probably due to all the excitement in HP7 that I read before it.
Hi, Jellen.
Hi Jellen
jac, you picked the same graffiti that babbler did, i love it!
I am currently reading Harry Potter 7, for the third time
Aussie - WHY?
Is the McCall Smith book from one of his series?
Just in case I missed something the first two times !!
as i suspected, i just went to the list and discovered i missed some really simple words!!
and because its a damn good read !!
I was thinking about reading HP7 again too, Aussie.
Franmag - It's one of the best graffito from that art vandal. To be honest, I've seen far better in Amsterdam and Devon.
is that one still up or was it painted over?
I cant wait for the 7th film, that duel between Bella and Molly !!
I haven't read any of the mccall Smith. The sports radio dudes I listen to turned me on to Charles Todd--mysteries set in Britain--written by a mother-son team
Jellen Yes, it's the 1st in the '44 Scotland St' series and the first I have read. I guess, if you take it for what it is, a collection of daily columns from a Scottish newspaper, it's okay.
well it sure beats cool earl and cornbread LOL
I'm reading The Case of the Missing Books by Ian Sansom for my book group
Aussie - 'NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!' But no spoilers now... not everyone reads as fast as we do.
Do you like it, Jellen?
Aussie - I think HP7 is the best of the series.
I haven't even bought it yet, Jac. I am trying to savor the opportunity... want to re-read, HP6, too...
No Jell, no spoilers..... It wouldn't be fair.....
any hints for last to 7,32?
I have started the HP series from the beginning too.....
I am over half way through Book 1
I like it so far, Pam. Just started, though. It's about a librarian from London who heads to Ireland for a library post, to find the library closed and replaced by a "mobile resource center"--a bus.
Oh, sounds fun!
well, eyes tired now, need sleep.... sweet dreams everyone, will be back for more on wednesday night xx
please a clue for ru 5 & 6? ty
I'm wonder, Aussie, if JKR is now sitting feeling bereft, or going on with what would seem to be the obvious series she writes next. Or will she go off in a completely different direction? I doubt she'll stop writing even though she no longer needs the money, because born writers HAVE to write; it's in their blood, bones and very fabric.
poof...
angelina, like a salad or an easy throw + what you cook in
I have to find a book--and, as I said, putting off HP7--and I can' locate any more Charle Todd
Night, aussie

yes, I second Jac's congrats!
graely - I thought she'd already done most of that?
pleasant dreams Angelina
from what i hear.my neice knows evrything she is doing
'Night, angelina.
226 left ... can't take any more. Good night all.
ok, mo9 is pretty obviously a compound, mo5 + what?
g'night, Angelina
night mom!
Night, mom
night angelina
good night, mom
g'night, Mom. Sweet dreams.
good night Fran and Pam, pleasant dreams
night Mom, sweet dreams
good night TO and Jellen, pleasant dreams
pleasant dreams LBD, night
hi angel
li4/8, hursh
graely - your niece is probably a member of JKR's offical HP site. However, JKR is not always totally truthful on there. Nor should she be! If a writer reveals what they're working on it spoils the spell and things don't get written.
help please - cna't see the se6/18
oases
hursh, oral cavity + comparison word
Wrong box, bunny dancer.
thanks
oops, sorry bout that
se4/4 above it + either/**
ah well, it didnt work
dances - it should have done!
ooh jacs, that's a common bable word, isn't it? i plead temp insanity
t
Which se6/18, TO? Ist or 2nd?
wow go me i totally monkeyed the oo6/7 combo
go hursh
lucky you, hursh! care to clue it? LOL
1st = se4/4 + 'either/**'. 2nd = 'bristly' ('game, *** & match' + last 3 letters of the 'h' you water your garden with).
first one.
it makes me think of the christmas song patapan
Yay, that's what I clued!
i don't know if that helps...
never heard of that song, hursh...
li6/30 is a dumb word
oo6 = oo + anagram of what a locomotive (tr5/10) runs on. oo7 = the plural.
well it goes turelurelu, patapatapan, willy take your little drum, michael take your flute and come...
You li6/30 it not, Fran?
i might have messed up the last line.
:-)
but it's the first bit that... well jac's clue is easier
I suppose, but I think I am trying too hard...
michael? robin? i dunno, some name.
hursh - That song is somewhere in the deep recesses of my memory... and probably for good reason. Sounds cr*p.
thanks jac!
i like it.
it has a haunting melody
Wouldn't do for us all to be the same, hursh.:-)
os6 help please?
another clue for the oo, please. Sorry...
look at jac's clue at 9:17 pam
hursh - os6 = os + 1st 4 letters of the river that runs through Paris.
os6 remind me of Saddam's second name
last mo5/14 anyone?
*reminds
ty
i did, fran, and it is eluding me...
oo + sun god + **ar (fibber)
mo5= to rue one's death
Thanks, jellen!
LOL, Jellen. Good clue! The new doctor at our practise is called Sadat Hussein. I know it's only one letter different but it hasn't half put a lot of people off seeing/consulting the poor chap. (And he seems quite nice.)
We have a doctor practicing locally who doesn't use his full name for the same reason, Jac.
funny, I have the word and still don't see the anagram, jac!!!
st 5/0 after stairs please?
Jellen - I think S. Hussein is probably akin to being called John Smith.
st5 after stairs = pig homes.
aha! ty and i must go wash hair
bye, TO
thanks jellen, took me forever to see that!
argh, ps help please?
bye TO, and you have lovely hair too. (saw the pic)
bye, TO

Hi, herin

Fran - what pic?
hi, herin
Hi, Herin. Has your headache gone now?
oh no. =0
thanks jellen!
Herin - I finished hours ago. Just here to chat and clue now.
une has a picture of TO, she's been posting it off and on, i got to see it today. :-)
It was a good picture, I thought.
wiat till i get that une!!!! she outed me!!!LOL

Yah woot Jac. No headache but still seedy from eating crap food yesturday, my bad. Thanks for asking. How are you
Darn it, Fran! I missed that!
hursh, ps + c**t of many colors + not you, but *
ok, got the fives
hi fern ok off tothe shower, bbs
Herin - I'm fine, thanks. Been busy decluttering house while Other Half and step daughter are away on hol.
bye TO!
hey fran - did she post the WHOLE picture? with herself and doren?
MMM declutter looking at a pile of said clutter right now.
nope, just you. :-)
I couldn't go on hol as a) flooding seeming imminent (but doesn't now) and b) senior family member died (ex-hubby's family) and so I have a funeral to attend.
Speaking of clutter, spent more time packing up my parents' house today. Overwhelming task, even after decisions are made.
Oh hugs Jac
well there is more to that pic than she lets on
Sounds tough, jellen
I still havent unpacked
Herin - the dustman who picks up my paper recycling boxes in about 3 or 4 hours may well end up with a hernia. LOL
Jac, I hope the flooding has subsided
It's cropped so it just shows your lovely face, TO
well, you'll have to post the rest of it TO. :-)
pam - The weather's bright and beautiful over UK right now. Garden's still drying out slowly.
Give the dustman a fiver and smile nicely at him
great,jac!
@##&%!!*$!
The lounge room reaped a 240liter bin of papers the last time we cleaned up

ok i have given up on these glasses of mine
hursh, most like what the noose is made of?
Jellen - Not an easy task, packing up a whole lifetime.
hahaha it was owl!!!
no that's before
well that's only fair, jacs dear. after all i've seen yours.

Herin - new glasses? They can take 2 weeks to 'break in'.
oh no it isn't, lol
hun knee
TO - LOL! I've shown you mine so you must show me yours. *grins*
hun gree
oh DEAR
No sadly not new glasses the crappy old ones waiting for new ones. All of a sudden my stupid eyes have decided to boycott these glasses
hun over
Nut's lost the plot. LOL
LOL nut i fell aslepp. no library.
bummer owl, you won't here what captain jack has to say
nut's lost more than the plot
Nut did you ahve the plot to start with or did it get lost in stids stories
hey, i don't have to take this, i'm only here cause i can't sleep
It's really multiple lifetimes my parents and much from both sets of grandparents, Jac.
why - do you take them off after a while?
Herin - it happens! But the new ones may well make you see things that aren't there for a while (i.e. lumps, bumps and st5/18 in the floor that don't exist).
did you get my other question dr nut? - love the sound effects
i'll have to take a few off soon, when i run out of memory on the site.
Wow Jellen thats a lot off stuff.
k off to shower bbs
i did ren, and have a few others, and have news, the next cast should be a nice full one.
Ha ha Jac the new ones are pretty and light
first se6/18?
Jellen - I know! I'm trying to tidy me attic and, as 'keeper of the family archives' (chosen by others!) it's not easy.
jellen - did you hear nut's reply about you?
Herin - it's the 'light and maybe 'frameless' bit that will scupper you for a while. *grins*
don't think jellen was fond of that. she doesn't think she's here to be trampled on for some reason...i think she's confuzzled.
i can;t wait nut!!!!...but i will......
Ok. can't keep my eyes open.... see yousoon...
Ooh. You mean last week?
late pam
Nut - LOL.
later...pam...kaacchhhooow - sorry i mean later
I've decided to forgive nut for that.
Not frameless but a cute pair of dark purple ones $55 for frames 75 % off
Nut - I was LOLling at your remark about 'not being here to take that' etc.
ta pammery
bye, pam.
hahahahahah jelle!!!!
Herin - my last pair of specs cost nearly £700.
heh, gotcha jac - and how big herted of jellen to forgoe er forgive me.
Herin, I just got purple frames on my new glasses.
But... when you wear them all the time, it's not so much to pay, per day, over 3-5 years.
'Night, pam.
i bought black dkny so my puter can see
I'm a big-hearted gal.
Purple new black maybe?
didn't know your computers vision was so bad ren.
to7/32?
oh i think purple is the new black and pink is the new red
My glasses confuse me. I used to wear reading glasses--now I just wear for distance vision.
it is nut...she's so vain....
so are we order of the pink pirates, or order of the red pirates?
Purple was the 'new black' back in 1970, Herin. I guess it's just about to come around again. LOL
little delly the 'puter
I just like purple--my glasses are pretty subtle
i like pink, oh and red, and orange, and blue
pink - pink cause red pirate sounds like a bootleg rum
Hetty - to7/32 = an habitual drunkard or a w*nker. To4/4 (throw in the air) + cooking p**.
I got a pair of Country Road frames so cheap
i like pink, black, and purple
gotcha, this member of the order of the pink pirates signing out...ta
'Night, 'night, Nutty.
ok little poo - see you tamale
Night Nut
http://www.opticalsuperstore.com.au/st ore/prod357.htm
g'night, nut
These are my new shinnies
Oh--the to*****s all had drunken heads and the rain it raineth every day--ta Jac
Has anyone seen sprite today or did she run off seeing all these K words
hetty - yvw!
Herin - yes, they look subtle. You must model them for us when you get them.
OK ill see what i can do
Sprite finished on time, I think. Unless she hasn't taken her laptop on holiday to Germany.
I think i kind of gasped when the lady said '75% off i picked them cause they were pretty.
Oh thats were sprite went ok cool
hetty - that quote sounds like the UK in recent times! LOL
help please some kind person. I've been looking at licketys page. What do the numbers after the letter combinations refer to. I think the first one is ai 4,4. What does 4,4 mean. Not understanding.
it's a 4 letter word that is worth 4 points.
number of letters in the word, total point value
ty fran
AI 4/4 is what the word stards with (like Airs) with a four point value
now maybe i can make some sense of it!
dances - ai4/4 means that the word begins with the letters 'ai', is 4 letters long and is worth 4 points. For the point-scoring system, see 'Help' above.
hi, Bad
HI bad
heya Jellen, all
BTW, weren't you 'danceswith bunnieS' in here the other day?
ty e1
angelsong's babble page has a section on scoring bunnie. link is below.
hi bad!
it wont let me have the s, too many letters i guess
on atari I was danceswithbu. lol
dances - Oh? Maybe I just read what I expected to see then.
hi babblers. i just popped in for a few minutes. hows the grid?
hi madi!
it is danceswithbunnies, but not here
not bad
Madi - I hear you've been away camping.
yep
u r all so kind, ty 4 ur help
The grid is 310 words long.... some easy, some not, as per usual.
well the grids that have less than 100 are almost always the hardest
We did have a silly little grid of about 73 all easy words long about a week ago.
ANyone seen nancyboy lately? or my remote control for the tv
No to both, herin.
mmm Maybe i missed him or maybe hes busy with school
have you checked the refrigerator?
(for the remote i mean)
no
Herin - I've not seen nancyboy since he popped up when someone was asking for a clue for 'homo' or something like that. LOL. That was about a week ago. As for your remote control... try looking under your boyfriends' pillow...
lol jacula
between the cushions of the sofa is a common hiding place
under the couch maybe or the couch has eaten it, i have a black blankie on the couch so its probably camoed on me
I keep odd hours so i might have missed him
can you believe i had po7/32, but not po4/5?
it takes my dad almost 15 minutes to find the lost remote in the living room. then he blames the lost remote on the rest of the family. :l
Fran i dont ahve either of those
I blame the housemate or the boyfriend this time
i only hve the po4/5
they have to do with verse and those that write it infernal.
po 4/5 is one who writes verse, herin
what is the po7?
i have the 4 of that
and it's fireworks for me! ty for the clues
po7= edgar allan *** + anagram of Spanish six
yay TO!
Congrats, TO!!!
yay TO
nope not ringing bells
very VERY cute icon herin
thanks Jell
COngrats TO
Thanks its a French Mastiff puppy, my friend owns a big version. great dumb slobbering beast
ty ty ty!

pu4/6 + not out, Fran
nvm, 6-second rule.
sorry, i pulled a peri again. :-)
but its cute so so very CUTE
it is
i own 2 jack russell terriers
are those as big as bull mastiffs infernal?
Can't get into slobbery dogs.
theyre both my girls
Well done, TO and anyone else who has finished. I've just been away 'mooing' Brahms' Lullaby to my 23-yr-old son. It was the tune on his cot mobile when he was a baby. LOL - yes, he's just looked at me like I'm crazy, just like you all are looking at me. My daughter and I love to 'moo' to songs. We do Mozart mooing, reggae mooing, rock mooing, all sorts. ROFLOL
I like Jack Russells. Fun dogs.
jac said a word!!! (or most of one)
The only difference between us and the internet nutters is that we haven't recorded ourselves doing it and put it on the net... so far.
that sounds fun jac, something my husband and i would do. the kids think we're crazy.
um maybe a tad bigger
jacs, so doyou have the christmas cd of mooing?
yikes, that's a lot of drool
ROFL TO.
Fran - do you think bringing a mooey CD out would be in order? LOL
i am serious, ther is one.
Hes not a drooler but its fairly gross in summer or when your eating and he goes ill have that too thanks
umm, we'd buy it. :-)
Christmas mooing IS in our wide repertoire, TO.
sa6/18 is just dumb!
Jackies are cute dogs
Agreed, Fran
Thanks, herin! Oh! You didn't mean ME, you meant my old dog. LOL.
you should se my baby girl cuddle up with sir monksalot
the sad thing is, there is probably a CD of mooing out there already.
(her monkey stuffed animal)
Oh Jac you had a bullie?
Fran - Yes, there is a mooing CD... and a Baahing one.
Hadn't heard of the mooing CD, but I know there are several barking "music" CDs
i'll have to go find them, my kids would love them.
ooh. a QUACKING one perhaps?
Herin -my old dog was a Jack Russell X Sheltie. I may have a new man in my life since the hubby left but I've never replaced my dog.
Madi - Yes, there's a quacking CD, too. And an 'oinking' one.
Oh k. My friends dog was a rescue
yay
hmm, i'm behind on my barnyard symphonies apparently.
*claps*
that's nice infernal. the last owner must not have known how big they get.
Fran - I think Herin and me are at cross purposes re the dog type? Mine was only small and quite slight, but vvery spirited.
The last owner had to go overseas and his bloodline is not allowed OS.
No im following just :)
i have to go. ta-ta-for-now
Herin's icon is a French Mastiff; a friend of hers has one, Jac.
lol, infernal is staying with the convo just fine i think.
or as some know it TTFN
bye madi
bye, Madi
My dog was a cross between a Jack Russell terrier and a Sheltie, which is a miniature version of the famous collie, la6/18 (or little Scottish girl). Not a big, or aggressive, dog.
BYE BABBLERS
i'm really dense today, i missed a bunch of 4 letter normal words.
'Bye, madi.
Bye madi
that must have been cute jac, both breeds are high-spirited though, she must have been a handful.
I think i may have got mixed up with Jac and Jellen
But you're getting them now, Fran.
No, I'm following you, herin.
Jellen whats your dogie
part pit bull and part ????
Fran - HE wasn't really that bad. He used to steal potatoes from the veg rack whilst we were out at work until the day I changed the potatoes with the onions. I found a toothmarked onion on the floor and he never did that again, LOL
She's my back-gate dog.
awww cute pit bulls are banded here due to moronic owners
lol jac!
Jac thats funny stealing potatoes.
Pit bulls SHOULD be banned!
jellen, looks like retriever maybe?
Never, Jac! My dog is the sweetest.
dumb owners should be baned. I have known people with pitbulls they dogs were really friendly
I see no sense in breeding dogs on for aggression. It only leads to misery for both owners and dogs.
Vet thinks maybe part dalmatian
Mastiff have their jinglies to keep aggression levels up
Mastiff have their jinglies to keep aggression levels up
opps sorry
Jellen - if your dog has pit bull in her, take care no one ever makes prolonmged high-pitched sounds around her, i.e. a child.
second so4/4 please?
I will agree with breeding for aggression being bad.
so + sun god
bye everyone! see you tomorrow!
bye everyone! see you tomorrow!
Sorry! I feel strongly about dogs NOT being bred for their aggressive instincts... and many other things, too.... droopy this that and the other... leading to health problems. Dogs should just be allowed to be what they are.
The same owner of the mastiff has 2 shepherds one hates and will eat children due to horrid kids throwing rocks at the dog and the other was abused for a year and runs off
there's one before that, right?
bye, TO
'Night, TO.
night TO!
yes, the black fire residue
duh!! thanks jellen. *bonk*
Jac i agree with you
Dalmations, like many breeds of spaniel and setter (due to the narow skulls) are all barmy.
I personally think mutts are the pets to have.
My friend has 3 rescues all pure bred with exclent bloodlines
phone--brb
I am not a fan of small dogs.
Fran i am missing heaps of words
Mutts rule.
i'm almost done infernal, i can clue you in a bit if you like.
I do get cranky when people get pure bred dogs from breeders instead of getting a rescue
getting them from pet shops/puppy mills is worse though.
Pedigree dogs should be banned for the simple reason that the 'rules' forr shows are stupid. German Shepherds (once known as Alsations) now have dislocating hip porblems due to the Kennel Club 'rule' for low hips.
My friends purebreds are pure bloodlines brillant hipscores
..And as for Sharpeis (the dogs that look like they need ironing)! Words fail me.
Think the dogs eat better than me
i agree with you there jac, those standards create awful health problems. i feel sorry for english bulldogs that can't breathe because their noses have to be so flat.
Jac they are one dog that has been overbred and now the eyelids on some of them have to be sewn back as puppys so they can see
al 5 please
I have no time for so-called 'dog shows'. Incidentally, I did have time for sheepdog trials. Phil Drabble, leader of those shows died yesterday.:(
Oh sad. Thats a bit different as the dogs are doing their natural thing
al5 = they must be twins, they look so al***!
fishme
Sheepdogs learn their commands in the language they are taught them in. There have been a few cases here when dogs from Wales, who have not been taught bilingually, have been sold from Wales into England.
I always yelled or whistled to the dogs in both languages. LOL
oh dear. Is that why the whistle the commands?
My g/fs dog is spoke to in Slavic
Herin - Yes, but the whistle is also a language in some senses.
Can whistles be different? If so how
Whistle tones can be regional...
and so it goes on. LOL!
oh odd
intresting but odd
My b/fs old girl used to herd the kids
i needs coffee
sorry, had a phone call.
thats ok i think i need to move and get coffee and shower and start my day (at 140pm) got up way to early
first st5/10? i'm cross-eyed already
oh wait, i had it. nvm
Beardies are infamous for herding children. My Mum's Beardie, Lucy, once alerted her to the fact that my daughter had climbed out of bed onto a revolving office chair, fallen off it and taken a chest of drawers' sized corner chunk out of her head, just above her eye.
sheesh, i didn't even have te4/4!! i can't even call myself a babbler today.
yikes jac! good thing the dog was around.
ouch Jac. The kids used to get the ball from the yard and she used to herd them into a corner. She was a kelpie
so needing a kick in the head, i mean more coffee
ok im off see you after flip
weird, the long words were easy for me this time, missed lots and lots of short ones.
later infernal!
'Bye, Herin.
Fran - have you finished the grid?
s+men's neck ware
almost, 2 left
thanks bookwomen, i realized i had it already! *bonk*
st5/18 - looks like the rump or the T-bone beefy meal, but has a double vowel in the middle.
i hate when i do that and spend time looking for a word i already have. i finished if you need a clue
yay book!!
Well done, book.
done!!
st5/10 = Latin plural of st4/4
had to get that last one on my own, first ur5/12.
Well done, Fran! And your last word was? (Stats only, pease)
congrats fran
ur5/12, ugly word
thanks book & jac!
how do you even pronounce that?
Lol Fran,. That must have really p*ssed you off. *grins*
"you race"
you ray ee (pron)
the first one abmoraz. yeah, i guess that would work jac. :-)
I was giving pronunciation for first ur5/12, btw.
Congrats, Fran!! Just got off phone
sorry
Hello everyone
first ur5/12 is just a mess of vowels abmoraz, jac's pronunciation post is as good a clue as any for it. :-)
hi, mel
hi mel! and hi abmoraz!
could I get a clue for the as 6/18 please?
i wondered where you went jellen. did you have mexican for dinner?
hi, abmoraz
different mixture
mel, first one is as + **** a boat
or
Yes. Just Taco Bell, but it was tasty
to attack
there are two as 6/18
sometimes Taco Bell just hits the spot.
Problem with trying to pronouce words on here is difffering accents.
the first one please
if "the spot" is the toilet, then yes
the first one is "to attack"
my ex-boyfriend could eat there 3 meals a day, every day, for weeks at a time.
Just got off phone with ex. He's bought a house and is busy with decisions re appliances, etc.
clued at 10:51 mel.
Happens in UK alone and less so over the world, other than with USA, which has moe accents than we in UK do!
thank you
yes jac, but that's what makes the world interesting.
Jellen - that sounds like 'fun', NOT!
jellen, was he asking you for advice?
does the mo 9 begin with the same 5 letters as the word before it? if not could I get it clued please
yes
yes it does mel, "similar to"
It's interesting if I forget that it's him. Yes, looking for advice. Wants me to come look at bathroom fixtures sometime.
first day playing and I got 100 without going to chat
<-- worlds worst scrabble player
Well done, abmoraz!
Can I get the kr 6 please?
good job abmoraz! welcome to babble.
shannon, plural of the kr4/8, add two letters
kr6= kr4/8 + two letter plural
homophone of a bad situation
hmmm well I guess I am not seeing the forest for the trees clue please
duh! TY.
Jellen - my ex is about to solve the rotary airer prob for me. We got a new one since plastic parts of pefectl;y fine 27-yr-old one (in metal parts) hadd failed.
I should feel good about myself, all the ones people are asking for are the ones I got
I should feel good about myself, all the ones people are asking for are the ones I got
abmoraz, you'll get much better at scrabble if you learn the words here.
arently I miss all the easy ones :)
mel, add a word that means similar to the mo5.
Paul kind of bedded it in, but I was not convinced, knowing our soil.
mo5/16 + li4/8
duh ~dusks from flying fish, thank you
Ex was there when I put almost final washing load onto new airer. He did suggest things new chap could do... and what he could do to help, should new chap want help.
lol
ok going to bombard you all with clues getting late, lol
how helpful of him jac.
Evening, all.
pardon my lack of the queen's en glish, but what's an "airer"? Is that the same as a "dryer"?
go for it mel
hi shelley!
ep 6/21 please
However, when he found out new chap is not around for 10 days, he will be whizzing both new and old rotary airers off to have their bottoms welded. LOL
Would be easier if I had a new chap.
LOl Jac
6 left - if only the baby will cooperate until I get them.
plural of ep4/5 (add two letters)
hi, Shelley
go shelley!
me too Jell, if you find yourself and he has a brother send him my way, lol
abmor - thing with arms and lines on it, out in the garden, to dry stuff on.
doh
The old-fashioned straight lines still work best, though!
ahh ... clothesline :)
es 6/21
or dry-rack
we had a great one jac, my uncle from Nauru got it for us. i think it was from Australia. that was years and years ago though.
e + secret agents
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Ilove my sheets dried on the clothes line they smell so good and sunshiney
mel, e + undercover espionage guys
hi min!
ty
hi, Min
Ke 4/8 no fish please
abmoraz, if i'm right, the airer jac is talking about closes in like an umbrella when you're not using it and is on a single pole.
which one?
mel - Knock the last letter of Misss Knightly (actress)
mel, ke + ** you like it.
the first one please sorry
one is my old roommate of Irish descent's last name
first ke 4/8 ke + first vowel + plural leter
the other sounds like a scottish poet
ty
am i right jack? or totally off base?
Fran - you make it sound so sexy! Or is that me just imagining stuff 'cos my Other Half is away on hol? LOL
another sounds like a homonym for what starts my car
ok the KI words totally killed me I need the KI 4/8 through the KI 7/44 please lol
*smooch
i have fond memories of our "airer" jac, no one in Guam had one like ours.
oven
I have the very first KI 4/8
past tense of smooch
ki 4/8= pottery cooker
(sorta)
ROFLOL, Fran. Please send me e-mail evidence of that one.
ki4/8, ki + **il it with a hammer
ki4/8= relatives + first vowel
sorry jac, it's long gone, it was at our old house in Guam and was destroyed by one of our supertyphoons.
ki5 is plural
Aw, Fran, that's a shame.
ki6 add second vowel to the ki5
ki7 add plural letter to the ki6
Any clues for the first se6/18?
yes it is jac. good thing jellen is here to clue, i'm busy reminiscing about a clothesline. :-)
shelley, alt spelling for one who grabs
add either/** to the se4/4
sheesh thank you never heard of those words
se6= spanish for six + either/**
Thank you!
brb
My family used to have one airer outside and one in our "furnace room"
mo 5/14 the second one please
we did too Jell
I still have the indoor one, but it's been mangled. Don't know if I can fix it.
mo = to rue someone's death
mo5/14 (2nd) to be sad about someone's death.
ty
how do you know if it's the first one?
