one of them is, yes
ra7 is related to one of the ra6s
the ra7 i have is a plural of an ra6.
thank you monkey!!
do you have an ra7 that isn't pink?
could be 2 ra7s. oy.
must be the ra6 I don't have
i have ra6/27x2, 6/21 are there anymore?
so...does anyone have more than three of the 7 words?
not me, just the 3

not me...
ca7, in7, ra7
i can't find the third ra yet either
I have an ra 6/18, but no others

ra7 is plural of ra6 that is a sailing term, alt spelling of a type of rope
both are adverbs
wait. both ra7s are adverbs? because i have an ra7 that's not an adverb
ra6 is a rope a rodent might use.

the mammo showed teeny tiny microcalicifications - this was my 1st digital which does show much more than the old film ones did. i can actually look at my mammograms and make some sense of them - they don't just look like cumulus clouds to me. i take tamoxifen, which is supposed to reduce my risk. youngest sis dies of it at 37, mm dies of ovarian cancer, and sis had a BRCA mutation.
yay, found the ca6/7 combo, thanks doc and MM!

I do have LCIS. the plan is tamoxifen for 5 years, then another med i suppose. there is some question as to whether tamoxifen prevents BC or just puts it off.

my word program has so many words entered in that I commonly typo its funny to watch it go behind me and fix my errors as I am typing
hi kierlex
I get a few words in boggle because I typo them
like for instance acred is a word
I get words here by doing that, and I miss words I know I entered because of it
hi ardilla
hey - what happened to my ploof icon?!
yeah, I miss words I thought I already put in because I'll typo them...particularly plurals...I'll type the plural twice
i hesitate to return to "my account: since that be what knocked me off.
your ploof icon is there for me, melon (looks like a good seat for the incontinent)
yes, Moo I do the same thing
ewww.
i laugh to keep from hitting someone, that's funny melon
thanks - it pretty much somes me up.
im still here struggling with 20 left lol
sums me up - darn! my mind is slippin'
why isn't rasta a word?

hi lore!
acutally the more I look at it the more it looks like a bbq
I guess that would make it the "hot seat"
or kia ora lore! (is that correct?)
g'day mate more like it ;)
not sure melon, haven't seen it used before.
sure is fran look at that kiwi
go fran go
moo kiwi here
i typed it by accident - then immediately craved ice cream :9
yeah I know lore :)
well, it's very similar to the other polynesian languages here in Hawaii
i guess yucky would be :6
I believe we've had the "I like Perth discussion" before
yes, melon -- looks like a good slurp
we have you love Perth
hey gang
it is Fran...maori always sounded like an angry version of hawaiian languages to me :)
it's cute melon, that little smiley sure has a nimble tongue!
hey heather!! percy?
good one too, melon!
perhaps...
hello heather feather
ooh, contractions?
hi feather -- how goes it?
how's the contracting going feather?
contrax keep waking me up, so decided to babble some while waiting and see if being upright changes the times of them
lol lore. :-)
hello jilli!!
hi featherbee
been doing the false labor thing all day today, 10 minutes plus contrax, no real pattern
good eve feather happy babbling
oh, i was thinking collective bargaining - not *those* contractions!
gogogo feather!
:)
ohhh - we're going to have a baby ! go Feather!
soon, speedily, and healthily, feath!
lol melon
i did that for 3 whole days with Giulian, all through Valentine's day dinner, meeting with clients the next day, 10 to 15 minutes apart.
well, last one was 2am chat time, so let's see. my guess is more false labor.
i am having to relax and breath myself through them however.
remember second baby, they hit 5 minutes apart you get to the hospital.
well the more false labor you have supposedly the easier and quicker your delivery will go
you got me beat Fran - my daughter was 46 hours. people came and went at the hospital. i felt like my number at the bakery got skipped "hey, it's my turn!"
true, Fran - son was 4 1/2 hours.
actually, given daniel's speedy birth and the fact that we're 25 minutes away from the hospital, my midwife said 7 minutes apart for an hour, then come in
heh
oh good heather
pitocin induced with my first, 4 1/2 hours total
cute analogy melon
I was 5 hours give or take a few minutes on both of mine
i might go a little less though, like 5-6 min
i'm still strugglin w/pa7 & ra7 - are they words i should know?
I feel a little inadequate in this convo
wee got one word
luck you, mel.
from pains being 5 mins apart that is, with my son I did the false labor thing for 3 days
147 2 days in a row - how bizarre
I wouldn't think so melon
i thought that number was familiar!
hey lickety!
hello lickety! how's mrp?
hi licketyluv!
moo, it's kind of what the husbands do anyway, just stand there waiting. :-)
wasn't that vid. amazing lickety?
hi all! hi lickety, hows mrp?
Hello Lickety we are hoping Feather is having her baby tonight!
I'm good at waiting...
Hi Lickety

tx. think i'll head to bed - if i'm up too late i miss the sunday NYT.
you probably know the pa6/7 combo melon, they've been in the grid before...italian words.
Feather - Wow - good luck!
laila tov all {poof}
night melon!
oh in that case...you probably know them melon :)
nite melon
hi lynxxx -- bye melon!
ok, not had one for 14 mins....more false labor. ugh!
nini Melon sweet dreams
you should get a refund feather
Clues are up everyone - enjoy. Gotta hit the showers - 2 games of soccer has made me grubby.
rofl @ Moo
probably would have been the same with daniel if you hadn't been induced. :-)
lol, thanks moo
thank you Lickety
thanks lickety!! later
oh, fran lured me back with her clue & i'm still not getting it.
THANKS Licketyluv!
i was, 2 days of it prior to the appt where she said we needed to induce
ty lickety
{{{Lickety}}} I am running your browser in Vista on my new machine!
feather - was indeed an amazing video - hope otherse loved it like I did - Thanks for sending it through
do you still have the receipt?
and feather -- what the HE-double hockeysticks are you STILL doing here? at this hour?
stidmama! *runs for hug*
{{{{{{{feather}}}}}}} there there dear, you'll do just fine
Hi stid! New machine! Vista???!!!!
they were waking me up, so i decided to do something productive. getting out of bed seems to have slowed them down however, so more false labor.
ra 6 -- rodent and a queue: ***e; pl
she was contracted to come on here stids
long story Jill, WAY past my bedtime as you know... LOL
melon, the pa6 means friend, pal in italian, add a vowel for the pa7
hi stid
not necessarily false labor feather, they seemed to ebb and flow for a few hours with stidkid#2. I ended up taking a long hot bath until they were just really insistent...
well night all
gl with the contracting feather
i actually found the ra6/7 combo myself! i have a vague memory of it from another grid.
night moo!
did the bath thing earlier. helped some.
night moo, ty
night moo
if you CAN sleep, kiddo, do. Otherwise, you'll be done with the grid soon!
night fran
night jilli
and the cool thing about being born on a 13th is sometimes Fridays are your "lucky" day!
i know, was trying to...kept waking up so gave up.
sweet dreams moo
Hey Fran -- how bad is your weather from that hurricane?
not bad yet stid, it's pretty far from us.
not getting that rodent queue thing :(
i better check on it though
it's okay either way you know, those mommy hormones will let you do whatever you need. :-)
wooohoooo firewords for me and no clues woohoooo
stid, is fran sending us all that cloud and chill?
YAY Kiwi!
Hi Stid
YAY kiwi!!!
congrats groovy!!!
congrats, groovynoclues
i want an E to make "castle"
Yay for Kiwi !!!
no, that's from me Jill -- I have banished it from my yard for the weekend because the boys are home again!
hey lynxxx!
i cant believe that the last one i was struggling on was an easy peasy sn 4 lol
I tried "castly" but no go :(
jilli, for the ra6, it's a sailing term, type of rope, you would expect an E on the end usually
hee, me too jilli!
me too jilli!
woo-hoo! up to SIX words already!
woo hoo stid! up to 23 here
thanks kiwi, i have it now, that mean's my last word is going to be an easy peasy ta4 or something like that. :-)
*YAWN* but _my_ mommy hormones are really really old and I am NOT going to be able to stay awake any longer.
<----- pulls out the pompoms - go stid go, go feather go
oh yeah, yay kiwi!!!
70 here -- approaching halfway -- and I got that ra6/18 -- thanks fran
well there are 7 of those fran lol
{{{{{{feather}}}}}} I am confident that you will be okay, and I look forward to seeing your full report at some point. Does your mother or Doug have my email so they can let us know?
go Jill go!
dont forget the plural jilli :)
ra7 is the plural jilli. yw
how do I say "thanks" in Hawaiian, fran?
what i'll do is post on my blog ASAP, or have someone else do it for me, then when i get home do emails
Mahalo jilli.
mahalo is thanks in hawaiian
oh good heather, you have my email address right?
:-D emphasis on the first syllable, too!
mahalo, fran and stid
sorry for the delay Kiwi woopee!!! well done
i'm not saying anything about the false labor yet on the blog, as i'm kinda keeping a few relatives in the dark about that.....
yep fran!
it could be a couple more days, don't want everyone getting too excited yet.
i never got to feel what falsies were like lol both my boys arrived early and quick lol
and i know they check on me there!
kieran was 5 hours start to finish and logan was 56 min
okay feather, I will haunt your blog until I hear or read that you and percy are well and home. It's wise to wait until you're sure I think... otherwise people get their hopes up. *whistles to emphasize my own hopes are precisely where they ought to be*
lol stid
wow kiwi! must have been all the good food. :-)
feather, is the little one Percy?
that's his in utero nickname.
I think that is such a blessing kiwi, my first labor was 36 hours give or take and complicated. The second about four hours and perfect! I much preferred the second experience.
lol, she's gonna have to call him that here. no one wants to use his real name. :-)
i'm superstitious, don't like using the "real" name. good thing too, as it did a late date change.
well with logan i think it was the fact that the specialist was worried about his erratic heartbeat and said that they would induce him in the morning.... 10 min later my waters broke and he was outta there - 6 pushes lol
we aren't jinxing things, Jill, by telling folks his real name is Ignatius Nathaniel (Iggy-Natty for short)... *wicked grin*
you're right fran, nobody will know who i'm talking about!
LOL stid!
*hoping that neither of those is his real name...*
*thwacks stid lightly yet again today*
well someone has to be Nut while she sleeps!
the top runners right now are nicholas james, nicholas michael, nicholas logan
because i had had two miscarriages before Kieran we decided to find out what we were having, and right up until 6 weeks before i gave birth the specialist told me he was a girl lol
all great names heather
oh, this guy is DEFINITELY a boy, lol!
I like those names and combos, strong but sensitive, current but not trendy.
looks as if nicholas is a winner whatever
then on the next scan he was umming and arhing and turned to me and said i hate to tell you this and my heart started pounding, but something is hanging down which wasnt hanging down before and your having a boy now lol
just don't wait two weeks to see what he "looks" like
got the ra7 tx to lickety still stumped by the ital pa 6/7 what's wrong w/me!
what one do each of you like best?
lol kiwi!
thought you had left, melon!
the 6/21 or the 6/27 melon
melon, pa + form of "to be" + indefinite article for the pa6
oh you mean the 6/7 combo
i like nicholas james heather
brb, son wants juice
im partial to nicholas logan lolol
Well I like the last one because of the last name (my favorite berry type); I like the first one because it is solid and not unusual; I like the middle one because it seems "old school" -- but I am not sure of the michael bit - that name can be a bit dodgy.
why lol kiwi?
cause ive got my own logan lol
our last name is scottish, starts with a "mac" if that helps. mac-1syllable
why is michael dodgy?
ahh!
but mine is logan timothy russell and kieran is kieran thomas manning
i stuck my poor boys with two middle names
i have two middle names
Most of the "Michael" (Mike, Mikey, Mick) people I know are tricksters and unreliable if not outright drug addicts. I do know a few very nice ones, but they are decidedly an exception.
heather leah-anne
My very favourite cousin, a brilliant Oxford don was Michael
I dumped my first name when I became an adult and took my former last name as a middle name when I married (though I wish I had dumped it, too).
nicolas michael mac... might be a bit of a tongue twister for him growing up
Like I said, there are exceptions!
my bro and bro-in-law are very fine upright Michales thankyuuverymuch ;)
daniel is daniel morgan mac---
i like nicholas james because it flows really well, 3 syllables then one, then 2 for your last name, goes good together
I think they are all good names feather -- why not let Percy tell you which one is his when he arrives?
well my vote is for logan with james coming a close second (james is my nephews first name )
think that's what's gonna happen stid
i like the name
watch out for initials -- my parents considered calling me Jean Elizabeth but thought the initials JEM might cause teasing, so I got GLM instead (glum)!
in their own ways they are all good names
logan, oops pressed enter too quick!!
and such a dour person Jill is too, in person -- yes, DO be careful of the initials/anagrams!
fish to head! or should i say pesco di capo!
true jilli im Joanna Alma and ended up being JAM and now that im married im a JAW lol
lol, hubby's snoring on the couch here, as i had kicked him out of bed earlier
stid, are you suggesting the world would be free of sociopaths if children were given proper names?
lol melon, i knew you would know it.
ty mva!
oh, the 7 is feminine not plural, btw
LOL kiwi!
kiwi lol your second name is my nanas great name jam to jaw like that lol
i get another 5 nites without hubby in the bed cause hes on graveyard shift and ive been really enjoying spreading out all to myself lol
yes melon
it was my nanas name too lore
your nana wasnt from upper hutt by any chance? lol
i'm named after my father's mother and my mother's grandmother
perhaps BR, perhaps... names should suit people though and there are some people born to be clowns and actors (like my second, who has an actor's name); and other born to be accountants and scientists (like my first who has a scholar's name). My boys have always had really strong, consistent personalities... naming either one "Jimmy" or "Bobby" would never have done!
phantoms: gestapo, panic, and nastily
kiwi my nana lived in Taita Lower Hutt my cousin Raeleen lives in Stokes Valley Upper Hutt !!! lol
i wanted nastily also melon
flip! :D
i was named after the two nurses who helped mum give birth in a corridor!!!
hee, a little late for that carra! hello
*watching to see if yet another babble family has just been born...*
stid is so right about her boys' personalities
hi fran
close but not close enough lore lol
hi carra
wow mva!
good eve carra happy babbling
I wanted anapest
hi jill, mva, stid, feather, groovy, lore, melon
and now, since I really am struggling to stay conscious... sweet dreams dear all, and happy days! see you again soon! *disappears, leaving a lovely trail of pretty flowers interspersed with candies and choccies to find*
night stid!
nite stid sweet dreams
i still want pasta or even antipasto
night stid! sleep well
night stid and hi carra
night stiddy!
i always liked the named sebastian or barron
my logan was named after my fav sci fi movie = logans run lol and kieran was named after a well known kiwi rugby player
hello carra
and i want to know why pastily isn't a word - to do in a paste-like fashion.
i remember logan's run kiwi. :-)
I like names like giles and simon -- and trevor of course (hubby's name)
you'd think it would be melon
anyone have the A word from the middle of those 3 As?
my son, Frederick, was named for my grampa, who died when i was 10 - I kept it in mind all the intervening years that if I had a boy, he would be a Fred.
heather, it's a yoga position, it uses all the As, as5/10
well if i had had a girl xanika and i would be the same, i woul dhave called her Jadzia too (from Star Trek Deep Space 9)
i do.
ty, i know that one!
ty fran
it's nice when a name has history melon.
yw heather and mva.
i want pasta! in the grid - well a bowl wouldn't be bad either :9
ap 5 -- is a adverb confirming appropriateness
kieran is kieran thomas manning - thomas for ians father and manning from his mothers side of the family
the middle A word is an4/4 I think
oh, ty that was my last A babrab
logan is logan timothy russell - timothy for my fav cousin who i adore and russell for my mentor growing up
jilli, middle A is as5/10
yes, Fran it is. my sibs and I are past childbearing, but perhaps a grandkid will be named for my mom, Marilyn - that would be so sweet.
hey feather... how about a clue on the a in the second row
thanks babrab, i didn't have that one yet
or a grand niece.
fran clued it ruru, the yoga position
fran, I was talking about the A in the middle of the other As - lol
ty babrab
Marilyn is a great name
im so not anywhere near ready to even start thinking that my kieran is nearly 15 and god forbid i could be a granmother in 2 years - dont even wanna go there
this grid is full of anagrams - particularly the forward - backward variety.
oh, sorry jilli
but at least he doesnt have a proper girlfriend yet, just a crush on a young lady he goes to cadets with and shes 2 years older than him
no, the middle A is the yoga position.
trust me, i just entered it!
and he is so antsy to turn old enough to go and join the army and that might keep him out of trouble for a few more years to come lol
lol
i think jilli meant middle of the list though
yes, the A in the middle is the yoga position, but it's the A to the right of the other two As, right?
escapades in the service had taught many to skirt trouble, if not get caught in the thick of it
acant
anyway i should go spend an hour or so with hubby before he heads off to work - nite all happy babbling and see ya tomorrow for flip
here's another phantom: prosaic
bye kiwi!
ok, finally had another, 49 minutes between contrax! lol
bye kiwi
looks like you have some time to go then heather. :-(
nite
no kidding
what a bore, feather!
nite kiwi
i loved being pregnant until those last 3 days
finally, halfway with all the 7s - mediocrity attained! nite all - this time really - feather i hope i wake up to find out that The Babble Baby has been born. have an easy go.
down to 55 words left, going to get a snack and try to sleep again
bye heather! see you soon percy!
phantom -- aspic
my auny just had a baby
aunt*

oh jilli, i'm looking for one more A, now all i can think of is aspic! :-)
boy
sorry, fran!
just got halfway, with all tiles covered -- only two 7s, though -- bedtime...

Finally convinced the boy to let me keep the kitten :) I gets me a kitten
woohoo....have we named said kitten?
The kitten has a name Pandora I dont like it it sounds trashy. Thinking of changing it to Gabriel
will get shortened to gabby
better go get ready for picking little man up, see you later
later ren8
By ren.
I know that it sounds dirty but Pandora sounds like a hooker name
wasn't there 147 yesterday?
not sure shorty
I think of the vampire chronicles ...
I think Gabriel is more regal but she is used to Pandora and shes nuts so i think the name has been chosen for her
I found a cool outdoor cat play pen for her to play in
nice..... and pandora is a nice name
Classical Mythology. the first woman, created by Hephaestus, endowed by the gods with all the graces and treacherously presented to Epimetheus along with a box (originally a jar) in which Prometheus had confined all the evils that could trouble humanity. As the gods had anticipated, Pandora gave in to her curiosity and opened the box, allowing the evils to escape, thereby frustrating the efforts of Prometheus. In some versions, the box contained blessings, all of which escaped but hope.
Yep Pandoras box. :) I dont like the name that much but i believe cats have their name chosen for them for a reason. The poor mite was going to be dumped at the pound
"curiosity killed the cat"
shorten to dora ..the explorer :D
yeah my cat is d_o_g ( dee*oh*gee) lives up to it he growls..carrys teddy bears in his mouth lol
good morning all

Hi ata & sprite

Fireworks
sprite, you are back!!! Did you have a good holiday ?
wonderful Zen! Very relaxing and fun. But it is good to be back too.
Nice Pic there Rolin.
Sorry i was looking for prices on fixing the cat we are getting
woot emtian
well, it is good to see you back!
Would that be getting it sprayed, neutralised or splootered?
<POMPOM TOSS> for emti
All being terms used to me by clients enquiring about cost of 'getting them fixed'.
them? the clients?
neutralised... argh!
Not the clients, the patients. Subtle, though essential difference.
neutered and her immunization needles too. Sorry i couldnt think of the right word
in some instances it wouldn't hurt for the clients too.
ooops...its kinda big...in my excitement i didnt scale it down..if its a prom herin..lemme know...but its on its way
Hi Haz, I will have to come to your husband when i need splootered...
True sprite.
Sprite! What a thing to say about our dear clients.
The cat is a dumpee twice over
I'll be sure to negotiate a discount for you, Zen.
*acts as if in shame, hiding a smile* Sorry Haz, sorry...
did one of his clients make that word up ?
Zen - somebody did once ask how much it would cost to get a cat splootered.
clue for as 5/10
splootered... would be some babble word!
One of the best was when a sheep farmer declared that his ewe was having difficulty lambing and might need a sectarian operation.
looooool was it a catholic or protestant ewe?
I'm assuming it's a cross between spayed and neutered, but it does conjure up images of innards flying.
We are going to make an outside run for her to and lead train her
I don't know, but they wore balaclavas for the op.
LOOL
LOL Haz! You should collect those... you could publish an absolute bestseller!
excellent one Haz
The clients help to keep us amused!
Due to the fact we are going away at the end of this week we are leaving her in her surrounds. Snitty little witch today
jesdragon said something vsimilar in her LJ: "Spade" is a small tool for the moving of dirt. It is not, unless things go horribly wrong, used in the context of an ovariohysterectomy, or spay. The only way in which your cat was "spaded" is if you hit it with a shovel. I will not be hitting your pet with a shovel, so do not present her to me to be "spaded". Also, since by definition a spay is the removal of ovaries and uterus, I will not be able to spay your male pet. I can probably, however, arrange a castration.
LOLLLLL wonderful Ata! Funny jes :)
Ata i was thinking the same thing thats why i didnt used spayed. I was going to say 'desexed'
I hate people saying 'If we bring her in, will the vet take a look at her?' Do they really want him/her just to take a cursory glance?
"No ma'm, we never look at pets here. It is an eyes-off practice here. But while we go by feel, we usually get it right, so don't worry."
I think the reponse is 'if the dog is entire then it has its janglies thus said janglies need to be removed'
a look? certainly ma'am. *looks* yes, very pretty
Morning all, just popping in to say hi just now. Haz, it's the same with me, people keep asking me to have a look at them LOL.
Ata, reminds me of the time a stranger in N.I. was walking down a street and was asked " are you a Catholic or Protestant?" " Neither", he said, "I'm a Jew". "Yeah, but are you a Catholic Jew or a Protestant Jew?"
hi liz!
Hello liz!
LOL Zen!
One of my male friends said 'it would be best if the cat had a litter first' There was the response of 'bollocks'
Well, it is important to establish which foot you kick with, Zen!!
RA5/14 agaiiiiiiiiiii (claps hand over mouth)
Deep cleansing breaths.
when i played football, I always played with both Haz
were they a ra6/21, Zen?
50 odd words for later, bye just now.
You're ambifootrous them?
bye liz
Bye Liz - maybe see you later.
Yes, i confess- I am ambifootrous...
Husband could probably fix you right up.
ah well Zen, it does look good on you
If i went to your husband,Haz, I might get splootered !
might be good for you!
They do provide a kind of walk-in stitching up service - none of them have any patience for waiting in A and E to get cuts stitched, so they tend to do the job themselves.
For vets and staff, I hasten to add!
Haz does the husband still use white plastic cones for the desexed pet?
Elizabethan collar? It depends.
ap 5.16?
Wow it has a technical name instead of 'cone head'
It's just a way of stopping them ripping the lovingly inserted stitches.
ap5/16 - in suitable fashion
as 5/10
ac 5?
Early vets improvised with plant pots with the bottoms removed.
nm, got the ac
as5/10 - as plus the Governess in the King and I, only one consonant.
My housemate used buckets minus the base
That must have been messy.
ewww not like that for the colour. ew ew ew. My house mate should eat of a bucket with a base filled with slop hes a pig
color (not colour)
you can write colour if you want
more like off colour :)
Colour. It just looks so right.
must be an english/american thing
Off colour ? Sickly
Hey peeps!!!!!!
Americans color, English colour.
Hello MM.
Americans seem to be allergic to the letter u......lol
hi movie my man
HI Movie
cos they like the letter i
it is a psychological thing maybe?
Anyone found any 7s yet?
Mainly cause they forgot how to speak Queens English long ago
ca7 x 2 and in7
Not like our dear colonial cousins.
PA 7
ca7 - little feline snoozes
No we just butchered the Queens English
like sily is doing right now (and sily is in the grid!)
in7?
in7 - immediate
right now, movie. This in7
CA 7 the other one please
Come here this in7
sily is the best
and there is no U in sily...
other ca7 is a card game
pa7?
Thanks what is the last one? 7 that is?
hi all -- have to share, speaking of Queen's English. Took daughter and son-in-law to tour historic colonial home this week, and our tour guide was an elderly Brittish woman who married a man from the U.S. It was a bit ironic to hear her impart the story about the Revoluntionary War, though she referred once to the "rebellion."
sa 5.12?
interesting CH
A little local trouble that should have gone away - was that the inference?
pa7 plz?
Dont have it Carra.
sa5/12 - sa plus the beginnings of the type of meat produced by pigs.
CLue for the PA 7 please
Oh yes, Haz -- one of the others in our group started to giggle, and the tour guide did laugh and share a bit of the history she learned as a child -- from the 'other side'.
The true version of events? It's always interesting to see that there's more than one point of view.
y
there's only ever truth from a particular point of view
I agree. I do wish our schools would teach history as a prism of viewpoint.
ty haz
clue for the PE 7 please
1st ca 5/14?
opps PA 7 please
The pa7 plz........don't make me use the list......
nearly parasite
is that a clue or are you referring to movie? :D
and panacea
Both son-in-law and daughter are teaching now, so they were quite interested in the historical contexts. Also toured Concord Museum and to their credit, the short introductory film was balanced with both the "redcoats" and "patriots" view of events.
I have a CA 7 x 2, PA 7, IN 7 what am i missing please
ata, you're confusing me......
I'm confusing myself!
can't get the pa7
it ends in latin for healthy
And it begins with the sort of fabric, highly patterned, named after a town in Scotland.
doesn't help sprite
First letters (four) as of the fabric, last three letters, those of King of Siam governess, minus the consonant.
got it now, thanks to haz
like the redcoated man (non political) who is around in December... drop last consonant. That gives you the healthy ending.
You're welcome.
missing the same 7 as herin now
well excuuuuuuse me!
ANy clue for the finally 7 please
That's you in your box, sprite.
I son't get ANY of those clues for the pa7 :-(
Thanks Haz... *mumbles something about trying her best and not being recognized at all*
ra7 - sounds like the noises rodents might make.
hmm monkeys found the word anyway
hello everyone.....I did get it thank you all !
thanks
sprite - you don't go unrecognized.
ratsily
Thanks
rest assured, sprite, all your input is recognized
noooo............. I didn't do that...I didn't..... really I didn't !!
not by you ever, Haz :) And yw, Karys ;)
we will all pretend you didn't, Karys :)
Karys - good morning!
thank you..... I could go and hide again
Never worry about it.
sorry dont get it
please don't :)
feel better then now
Begin with the rodent, end with three letters of the straight thing, being the shortest distance between two points, ra6 then plural.
great Haz, thanks
thanks
You're welcome.
got it now ty Haz
Nice clue, Haz! I was just trying to think of how to get it to herin!
Thanks nice clue fish me
I got it
That's good.
Need a new brain
HI CARLEE
mmmm, 66 words so far, need COFFEE! BBL! *poof*

i dont get it please explain
brb
Oh jeepers, Goldies is back !
im leaving because of you thanks
May I please have a clue for the Ra 6,27 ?
Byeeee
bye goldies!
Zen LEAVE OFF. Goldies is a paid memeber and if you dont like him (it is him right?) bog off
GOLDIESSSSSSSSSSSS...HOW r u?
{HUGS} how was camp?
dont go goldies
bloody hell...I was away from my desk
and don't you be rude either, herin. everyone has their opinions
herein, what is amemeber ?
member sorry
What me saying leave off is rude and telling someone ' Oh jeepers, Goldies is back !' ok i see its adult being children hour
bog off is kinda rude! I just thought Zenmed meant gosh, goldies is back
So did I -- I didn't read it as particulary
negative .... (I add, having hit the enter button too soon) :)
you entirely misunderstand - I did not say i disliked goldies; if you or goldies want to take that interpretation that is only your mindset...
Sometimes it's easy to misinterpret tone of voice in our chat. I know I do that at times. No harm intended though -- overall we're a pretty nice bunch :D
its ok, zen, some people seem get a bit sensitive around the issue of goldies
jeezzz... I listen to a song and all of a sudden it is a row here... I did not see anyting rude about Zen's entry.
And I take exception to be told to bog off.
( Not to upset anyone.... but i think we have to remember that Goldies is a kid...and language kids use is not as strong at "bog off" and jeepers...could be construed by an 11 year old to be the voice of irritated adult...)
I wouldn't want you to bog off, Zen. Keep both your ambifeetrous extremities here, please.
what does that term mean? Seriously, I'm inferring it's a kind of put down, but is it a Brit term?
I think....zen's reaction to bog off....is probably equivalent to a kid 's perspective to a non threatening "jeepers"
jeepers creepers! isnt that american?
May I please have a clue for the Pa 7,32 ?
female of the 6 before it kristine
what rubbish, carleekat
Sorry but the way it was written (since jeepers is a term of annoyance) followed by ! in general English typed means rude. Jeepers is a polite way of saying 'Jesus' and well you can extend that anyway you wish
um I don't have that one either :-/
kristine, Haz clued earlier as the first part of a highly detailed patterned fabric, plus the governess in the King and I minus one of the consonants.
its an italian term
yeah i didnt get the king and i reference
I meant the 'bog off' part -- what does that mean?
sorry, kristine -- it's a girl's name starting with first vowel
it means "go away" said in a not very poilte tone of voice
Bog off - go away.
Ahhhh.... got it. Thanks, herin :)
it is kind of a series pa5/12, 6/21, 7/32. The 5 is like what is happening in semi spanish Que P**** with an extra vowel inserted. The rest build on it.
And ata
ok ty let me work on it , i'm rather dense today not your fault lol
or... for the 7... think of the redcoated man of Xmas and leave out last consonant for the ending of the 7.
for the start of the P7: if you have given money to obtain something, it is p*** for. Drop last letter.
thank you sprite, i have no intention of "bogging off" when told to by an impolite and nonsensical "lady"
ok got the 5 lol
got the 6
we loves you Zen
Om mane padmi om, zen :)
and the 7 ty for your patience !
Ooooh, I feel better now, Ata!
hey Zen, I like you lots... perhaps it would help to remember that things put in writing are usually harsher sounding than they would when in spoken form...
woot Kristine!
Say, not to change the subject (or rather, to) but we had our first experience with Amtrak yesterday, and the train was 1.5 hours LATE getting to the station. Is that normal? My daughter and son-in-law were taking it to NYC for a visit, and there were several of us standing in the sun all that time.
yes sprite, but that is sometimes largely down to the reader's interpretation
wow, that does not sound like a great outing... at least not the standing part.
The trains in Europe were always reasonably on time.
urf, no fun at all!
So I have to say, I'm not impressed with Amtrak at this point. Thought I'd see if any babblers have more experience with them.
or the way the reader wants to interpret it as an expression of their personality...
wah! no deep and meaningful psychology! its sunday!
true Zen! It is just that we miss the sound of voice, the way of looking... which often takes of the harshness. Not defending or accusing anyone, just saying let's not jump to conclusions, any of us, and keep in mind we are all way different people ;)
clue for the second ta 6/21
it might cleanse our souls... ;P
Speaking of Sunday, have to go shower and get ready for church. Happy hunting all, and ((hugs)) to everyone, especially Zen, herin, and goldie.
just change the last vowel for ther 2nd ta6
have a good one, ch, it was nice to see you :)
btw sprite, did you get "Imagica" yet ?
ty carlee
is it Imagica or Imajica, Zen? I was just thinking of ordering it now, though right after the vacation might not be wise financially, LOL.
Imajica
I think? *sudden confusion moment*
atalante, how COULD you? lol
thanks... going to bol.com now...
I think it is spelt with a g, sprite
must be imajining things then :)
now i am confused too Ata
its Imajica. just looked on amazon ;)
i don't even know what it is and i think it's a g
dang, guessed wrong
this is for real, guys. I was looking at my notes from the earlier discussion this very morning and wondered... why isn't it spelled ImaGica, I would go for it sooner because that would be understandable in fantasy sense... Imajica looked so... hawaiian :)
*giggle*
hey hursh!
but back to my original, unrelated comment... atalante, how COULD you?
hi sprite
how've you been?
Zen, you *have* to read Perdido Street Station (China Mieville). If you love Imajica, you'll love PSS
what did I do!!
~!~!~!~!~!FIREWORKS~!~!~!~!~!
Yes, how COULD you, Atalante?
thanks ata, now i see it written down it looks right with the j
511 words!!!!
(BLowed if I know, but thought I'd join in)
and Tad Williams Otherland series - have you read those?
LOOOOOOOL :):)
Light dawns. The peacock has arrived.
lol yes, light dawning here too :)
that's going to torment me for the rest of my life...
woooot KristineN!
the answers are somwhere in the archives ;)
oh it's a grid you pulled? phew.
Guten Morgen, Babblers. Here I am missing my last word. The previous clues did not compute with me. Please give me a clue for dummies for the as 5/10
good morning inge
not telling you from when though ;)
Guten Morgen inge! That would be A + the Xmas man minus last consonant.
As + ban*** <fruit>
lol
as5/10 - either a plus latin health, or as plus the beginning of French pineapple?
thanks for the PSS advice ata; no i haven't read Tad Williams - is it good ?
hang on, stupid question...
atalante habitually asks people if they've read really horrid books just to trap them
lollll... like "No it stinks, but we just want you to keep occupied" ;)
Tad Williams mainly writes mainstream fantasy, and very very good fantasy. But then he came out with Otherland. Which is fantasy / sci-fi / mystery / cyberpunk / every genre you could imagine rolled into one. And the result is truly amazing. *long* read. 4 books, 800 pages each-ish. Weird in the same way as Imajica is weird. But brilliant
she's also one of those "eww, this tastes awful, taste it" people
thanks . Fireworks, Salzburg, and GOOD music, cant believe my luck
lol hurshy... you know her well
oh yes, I'll happily do that to people :)
lol
You should work in Harrogate, or Bath, getting people to taste the waters.
Think eggs boiled in sea water and you get the general picture.
thanks ata, that sounds great; i would love to find some good fantasy writing - almost all i come across is fearfully cliched and trite
ick, I know. hidden princes, quests, bl;ah blah blah. Its so boring now every mutation has been done 27 times
I so need to translate my books :)
ewww I know! those waters are foul! Its the same in Cheltenham. We always used to have school trips to the Pump Room adn dare each other to drink the water
exactly Ata; and why must everyone have a sword?
a magical sword at that
*cough* for freudian reasons, obviously
Anyway, off I go - keep smiling though....
a talking sword, at that
LOL
bye Haz! *hug*
Elric has the monopoly on talking, magical swords. Not interested after that
bye Haz! *hug*
Bye Haz
ttfn haz!
ah... hurshy... like, male writing fantasy and needing huge longswords that talk and do magic have something to compensate? I am getting the picture now.
i object. her eyes were astar with delight. yes?
Robin Hobb is also very very good for atypical fantasy. Good guys die, etc. *And* George RR Martin.
yes sprite. freud din't understand women at all, but he had his own gender pretty well taped. takes one to know one and all that.
hello, isn't 147 the same number we had yesterday?
Robin Hobb... is he from the ships?
I think so, harpjane, and hi
its a she actually :) She wrote 3 trilogies - the Farseer, the LIve Ship, and the Tawny Man trilogy, all vaguely following each other
jup, the living ships, I read those. Good writing.
Which one is the best Ata? - in your opinion
and I stand corrected genderwise :)
of the trilogies? or writers?
the trilogies
Farseer
Hi,if you are an animal lover the farseer trilogy is great
I personally love the Liveship books, but Farseer books are generally better loved
the Tawny Man books dont make sense till you've read the first 2 trilogies
thanks Ata, I am always fascinated to hear what other aficianados rate...
but you might as well start at the start, with the Farseer books
but Nighteyes, the animal kathw was talking about, is such a gorgeous boy
WEll, that was the best video ever, right up with that Estonian revolutionary song two months ago
I really love it that there are more fantasy fans here. I love the recommendations, I do write them down. Also with thrillers and mysteries. Jac or Ata pointed me to Patterson and I have read about 5 of his this vacation :)
off to sudoku
I love Mercedes Lackey and Anne McCaffrey
I wonder is "Robin Hobb" a pseudonym - connected with Robin Hood ?????
its a pseudonym, her real name is Medgan LIndholm. She writes under that name as well
Medgan?! MEGAN!
pabtrek: me too!
wonder why she chose a pseudonym so close to Robin Hood ?
I'll ask. I have my ways :)
robin hobbin
hehehe
grin
my marty sure is a runabout
whats he been doing?
running about
LOL
dash here, dash there, slide on the laminate flooring...
looooool
Yeah, i love all the recomendations too sprite - especially about stuff that's not cliched tosh
having his crazy 30 mintes probably?
spose so sprite
has he just used his litterbox?
i don't think so, i think it's still drying
sily always goes manic after using her box
or he is telling you he needs his litterbox NOW
from books to litterboxes in 4 lines ...
babble versatility
letterboxes litterboxes
cats never need to go NOW, i don't think. i mean i've taken them on 14 hour drives and made stops where i offered them water, litterbox, food, and they'd have none of it. "we'll wait until we get there," they said.
can we go back to books, he asks plaintively......
babble has been known to have multiple conversational threads running at once...
lol Zen... now don't use that spaniel eyes on me, you know I can't help myself when you do that...
not that we need to keep talking about cats' bathroom habits!
I have recently been diagnosed with a multiple babble personality disorder
Ooh really sprite; I love it when you can't help yourself....
ah... shameless you!
Yes, I know no shame
have you met the lugubrious spaniel yet, Zen?
I love that in a man ;)
I have not yet enjoyed that pleasure, Ata
how on earth big is Ballymena? Go and lurk outside the vets :)
*my icon inspires lurking*
Oh, Ballymena is a big and mighty place
as big as Stranraer?
; ; sprite
No comparison Ata
Anyway, any other exciting fantasy works ?
have you read George RR Martin?
my life...?
although more of a nightmarish fantasy at times...
No Ata
*hugs hurshy* But you never loose your sense of humour ;)
on the contrary, i loose it quite frequently :)
do :)
give it very free rein
hmz... ok, so it just comes back to you frequently?
no sprite, i was teasing you, english being your second language... you meant lose... :)
The only ones I have read that I rate highly are Clive Barker's and I did like Dune very much - although that was 25 years ago....
to "loose" something is to set it free, let it run wild, etc
argh... I am doing the stupidest things today! I even messaged Ata in plain Dutch. Ok... so lose is when you do not know where it is... and to loose is to set it free. Thanks :)
hi ya sprite
loose the hounds! hi all!
Dune was special
I really think you'd like China Mieville. I'm reading the sequel to Perdido St at the moment, and its equally as wonderful
( in that context sprite...u would say "to loosen" )
marty is STILL running about, and the litterbox is available, so it's not because of that....
no, there's a big difference between loose and loosen
oh hey its a carlee!
oh, he probly wants me to take a shower
I know 'loosen up' ...
hey nutter
who you callin a nutter?
okie kokie sprite.... i'll just set quietly here again
thanks Ata, I very much appreciate the "recos"
you can loosen a screw, you can loosen up, that means to make less tight. and loose as an adj means less tight, but as a verb the connotation is a bit different.
Morning Babblers
that would be me evan
because they used to tell me often to loosen up... but apart from that... I am kinda lost :)
Good morning roomies
hmmm ...i can be abused just as much elsewhere
hi nutty!
but not nearly as heartily, nut!
hi Cherry
never met me hubber did you sprite?
must be off - bfn
never nut... but if you recommend it... :)
bye Zen, nice talking to you!
fly on out spritey, you can meet the hubber, AND i'll even abuse you in person.
owwww wow, that sounds really promising!
yep, might even make you a cuppa tea.
*wonders about how insulting a cuppa can be...*

no, that's 5/12
no, the cuppa is the me being nice part.
owwww ok! It is a date then ;)

i'm down to 3 P's, a 5, 6, 7
sorry a+ miss spelled steam bath
hurshy: the 7 ends the same way as that as5.
the 12,21 and 32 hurshy?
the 5 and 6 just are shorter 7s.
interesting, thanks sprite (and LOL)
hi carlee hi sprite
hi hurshy
think of an intricate pattern on fabric..oft times found on a man's tie
im back
there, done.
GOLDIES!..how was camp?
grin, not even joking, you will see when you get the words!
great
great
cool... and great camp stories?
i know but, i think it is funny because 5's and 6's are always shorter 7's, in the sense that they are shorter THAN 7's. don't worry, i get amused by words for very little reason.
i hit a baseball 186 feet!
wow...cool.. make some new friends?
carlee, that must be a word you wished was there but wasn't :) paisley :)
yes
ap5,16 please
no..but it starts the word
I know and I am laughing too, hursh ;) I love putting things in ways that can be explained in more than one manner.

i just about fell on the floor laughing when "dittany" appeared in the harry potter book I'm reading. I never heard of that word until it appeared in the grid a few days ago. Babble is so educational!
hye riemann -- it goes! kids are home safe enough (only one pair of glasses were destroyed) and stidkid#2 finally has his bird!
12 left!
hm. what happened to the log? or did it only go wonky on my machine?

Then on to brunch with the munchkin!
Hmm?? What's been happening?

my chat log is going bonkers....is it happening to anyone else
yup
mine seems fine annie
Yes, it's gone wide over here as well.
LOL only in the pet store riemann -- don't you remember the incessant questions "when can I get a bird, mama?" when you were last here? Well he got his room clean before he went to camp, so on the way home from getting him we stopped and got his little bird!
yes, me too annie
thanks stid and jade
It was JBs mmmmm at stids coffee that made the log go wide. Afternoon all.
Can I get Stidkid#1 a cat? *grin*
But now mine is okay again... I really think Dr_G is doing some maintenance. *waves at mysterious stranger*
Good afternoon FMitch!
Hi Haz! Then I don't feel alone...I keep scrolling back and forth

go stid :)
LOL 49 now, you're my good luck charm, hursh!
i slept for like 12 hours last night, to make up for the four on friday night.
that sounds nice hurshy, I got six last night -- not enough really, I will need a nap today!
but i kept having this dream that there were these tiny little snakes everywhere that were very poisonous and if you felt the least little tickle like something might be on you you had to shake it off, and i kept waking up and yelling and/or trying to shake something off me
Clues please for as5/10
oooh. not a good dream at all! *shudder*
as5 would be a good name for an anthropomorphized yellow phallic shaped fruit
(because it would rhyme)
dreamed about Paul McCartney last night.. much more pleasant! Have no idea why tho..

they're hungry?

Hello Pam
hi Pam
Hi, ren and nef,,,
Hi Pam! i know what you mean Nef. I'm having to find employment again...bills just keep rolling in.
I am working until I physically can't, it looks like....
Hi, LBD
pa6,27 add the sometimes vowel to the pa5.12 above it.
pa7.32, make it a feminine
ren8, for pa 6/27 add the sometimes vowel to the pa5/12 right before it
well, Pam, I've reached the physically unable part according to my ankle and foot. But I drive the rest of me nuts if I don't do something!
FIREWORKS, thank you all so much
LOL, nef
whoooo hooooo REN8
YAY, ren8!
YAY, ren8!
I had envisioned a different future plan, but since being dumped, things have decidedly changed
yay, ren8

ahh, merv griffith died.
oh, lbd, where did you see that?

thanks---I went to CNN and there it was... sad
pam, it was on the news today. what type of work are you looking for, pam
/
By the way, finally heard form my brother. Guess there were more than a few fires right outside of Missoula and many cabins at the lakes are gone, but he is fine
oops! my fingers stuttered
good to hear Pam
Oh, Nef, I am working now, and like it, but had thought that my partner and I would be doing other things in 20 years. Now, no partner and no summer house to retire to, etc.....
thanks, lbd
does he live near Seeley Lake or is he in Missoula?
{{{Pam}}}
He is in Missoula proper, with tons of friends and acquaintances with Seeley Lake connections...
Nef, can you do administrative nursing, or teach, or is that too hard on your leg and foot, too?
Thanks, Nef
(((pam)))
Thanks, ren! I am doing much better---and that is due, in part to some great shoulders to lean on here!
I'm not qualified for those. I have a 3 year diploma RN; and at my age the idea of going back for 2 years for the BSN probably won't pay in the long run.
RENNIE!!

how was your vaca, scrabs?
dorens, you're back??"!!
Scrabbler, you came back!!!
hey scrabs
Have not seen feather in the chat today, maybe, baybe
It was GREAT! Kayaking, hiking, swimming, making campfires, eating delicious food, and LOTS of laughing!!
france was superbe!! oui Une.. just back for une heure ou deu... et tres fatigué
there is a second ra6 that is to do with kkk? I see one...
Welcome Back Scrabbler
sounds wonderful, scrabs!!!!!!
hi, une
terrific, can't wait to hear more, Dorens!!!
hey pam :-)
I just unpacked--that is the worst part of vacation.
scrab, glad you had such a good time. we biked and strolled along the canal with the very very slow boat, and ate much too much and drank beaucoup de vin. magnifique
scsrabs - remember the yellow jackets i n nuts house?
i didn't unpack yet. babble withdrawal was too strong
did anyone else encounter Feather today?
wonderful, dorens!!!!!!
need ca 6/24 please
yooooo whooooo scrabs
need the other ra6's, please
Actually, the worst part of this vacation was discovering that my foot was bleeding profusely from leeches! There were 30-40 tiny ones stuck to my foot. It was uber-gross!
the card game, dorens?
ick.....
ew ew ew ew scrabs!!!!
oh scrabs!!!!
ick ick ick
What happened with the yellow jackets in Nut's house? They were moving in last I heard.
that's what ya get for trying to kill me scrabs
no thanks pam but i have that one... there's one that comes after the plaster stuff that is put onn broken limbs
Did you know that leeches secrete an anitcoagulant that makes you bleed for several hours? It is true.
we told her to get some spray and not let bill use fire...there was a nest of 3000 yellow jackets in nuts house
yes scrabbler i knew that and so did you, but you didn't want to find out that way, did you?
Yikes---so what happened, Rennie?
just went to Feather's blog. she hasn't logged in /posted since the 11th.
i knew that about those stinking leeches
the nest was IN the house?
dorens ca6 little siesta
so i called the bee man
lol, dorens, it's true about those leeches...
Doren---my big wound bled for hours. And they are really hard to pull off. I put my foot in the sink and my friend picked them off.
Hi again everyone! Hey Scrabbler!
dorens, it was in my attic, and about ot fall through the ceiling
a good thing she didn;t use the spray - she had to sire a bee man to come in - he had to cut a hugh hole in her ceiling after he gassed the yellow jackets
oh thank you une... needed that. for fireworks
Hi dawger!
oops hire not sire
woohoo, dorens! Formidable, ma chere!
and to think that they were used for medicinal purposes, dr. scrabs!
whoooo hoooooo DORENS
clue for the other in 6/18
sire would take a while
wow nut if they HAD fallen through that would certainly have been babblecastworthy. but i'm glad they didn/t
they're used for medicinal purposes now . . . to help healing of wounds after surgery
i'm glad nut's not siring...
leeches are like zombies
anyway...i have a pic of the nest in my bio now
in + ca4/5
yes madame -sire would have and bee a lot more expensive
Plz, clue for the second in 6/21?
Leeches are still used in medical care--mostly when limbs are reattached. Arterial blood flow is restored before venous, so tissue gets swollen with blood. That's where the leeches help. One of my sisters is a hospital pharmacist and they have leeches available in their pharmacy.
ty uni
ok folks.. it's good to be back. but my watch says 1:45 am and i have to u npack and do some laundry... night... a demain!

I will try to scroll thru the chat for any word from feather. BRB
Kristiie was on yesterday, and complained taht all the wrods had packed up and left in her absence
Yesterday featherbee said she was having some irregular contractions. I checked in briefly yesterday.
lol at Kristi. glad she popped in. What does irregular contractions mean Scrabs?
Feather was on this morning at about 2 and said her contractons were 49 minutes apart!!!
It means that the uterus was warming up.
oh, so she very well may be holding Percy in her arms
Scrab, that leaves enough time for you to rush to feather's side yet :)
I should have turned down Rte 81 when I was driving home.
that would have been so kewl, if you delivered Percy.
Hope she is holding percy as we speak
I was just on the phone with my friend that had her baby Aug 9---Cooper. Mom and baby are doing well.

hi jilli
((((peri)))) thanks darling :)
Hi, min
geeesh, peri, that is just inconvenient and a pain!
Hi again Min!
it really is a pain, pam. I have my routine in the morning, get up, put on computer, play some babble, feed the cat, eat breakfast, etc, etc
Hello again to all!I just took a brak for a couple hours
connections has been very intermittent this past week. think I may need a new modem
not sure how long I may be here now
Well, I hope they can resolve it. I know how it is to have that whole routine botched!
mrp, and thinking of feather, remember the cartoon where a husband is taking his hugely preggers wife to the hospital and says "Are you sure you want to go through with this, dear?"
I need to get the part replaced that the adapter plugs into, and when that happens, I iwll miss this computer for the night...
abit late now LOL
I am so spoiled....
I just signed on to see if anybody needs clues, but it looks like peeps are finished are doing it on their own

hi pigeon
Anyone in the chat using a laptop? Do you have start up problems?
when did she deliver herin?
I do, but I don't have any problems
She did? Do you have details?
No Ing i didnt. I had problems with my pc and had to reboot not the actual grid.
20 inches, 7 lbs 3 ozs, born this afternoon
*sigh* it is back to school for me tomorrow. and i am bored and trying to put an outfit together. (that is how insanely bored i am)
what, what, feather had baby?
His Name is Nicolas, 7 pounds 20 inchs long thats what i can remember. Her friend LC popped in with the news
she had him this evening, 7 lbs 13 oz, 20 inches
did she talk to inge??
I'm glad for her
so nearly an 8 pounder then?
yup, nearly herin
but i thought i SAW her on this morning and she was saying how she had a false alarm and...
No, her friend LC came into chat to let us all know
was that yesterday?
so all but four of the R words at the bottom are RAs ?
oh, no nevermind. she wouldnt talk here if she delivered today!
NO thisl morning she had contractions about 39 minutes apart (at 2 am I think)
yes fernie
wow
i guess it was yesterday then.
lol
so she came on to tell you that she had hey baby?
all four are ro'
all four are ro's, herin
well, i am happy for her. i will be right back. i am going to go find a boy baby icon just for feather and nicolas
When her friend LC signed on to tell us, she gave the impression that he was born this evening....
never mind herin, i didn't understand your question
Feather's friend, LC, came on to tell us
there are 4 ro's and 18 ra's
all from the bottom
golly gee whillikers
Harp thanks . I am missing one RA driving me batty,
we're having LOTS of smoke and ash today ldb, how about you?
sunset's not for another hour and the street lights are on, crickets singing, etc.
M ybrother is in Missoula, harp, and he said that the cars were COATED with ash this morning...
will bbs, time for dinner.
yeah, we have it coming down, looks like little flakes of snow
sp 6?
Harp, the ash is raining out of the skies. smokey all day, my eyes are burning
what is it coming from? forest fire?
i've seen worse though, since i lived here in 2000. And it's not too warm today which helps
bichon, not broken just a sp****
sp6= ankle turn injury
thanks Jellen
yeah, the temps are tolerable, it's just air quality sux
and lbd
yup, forest fires all over the place. I think most of the smoke is from a big one in Idaho, although we have some that are closer
hursh, our state is burning up! there are fires surrounding Harp and me and we live in two different areas.
I"ll put up with the bad air every now and then if it my friends' homes remain intact
do a lot of people get respiratory problems? what about long-term diseases?
they've evacuated more of the seely lake area. the town is still open
Sorry you all have to go through all this.
some people have medical problems but it's mostly just irritating and inconvenient. We have a low-level air quality alert today
so far, the fires up here at least, are all nature made...lightning strikes.
I heard they were re-evacuating seely lake area, i'm supposed to work at a camp there in 10 days, i'm assuming it will be cancelled
red flag warnings up here
we have one that's "under investigation" and I think the seely lake one was started by a car mal-function wasn't it
yeah, unless they get the fire under control Harp, i'd say it will be cancelled or moved to another area
last year we had a few that were arson
borg are SO scary.
i hadn't heard about the seely lake one being man made.
I"m hoping for cancelled myself, i'm getting booked for other things that week
i'm impressed with the firefighters, they are really jumping on these fires as soon as they hear about them. unfortunately, we still have the florida management team who is clueless about how to fight mountain fires
does anyone need clues?
they probably know more than we think they do? trying to be optimistic
HI sorry my net is being a gaint pain
well, they know how to move base camp to another area. did that twice. local fire guys are not impressed with the team.

thanks ardilla. doxy is just fine with me.
what do you do job wise?
computers
son is in intelligence.
What's the difference between the 3 columns cream of the crop and village elders and who's hot? I Do not know how to decipher these rankings. Please explain.
cool
Help I am stuck on the last 2 ca's
he is going to England after Korea, which will only be 1 year. I am planning a trip to England in 3 years.
ca 6/24 means a little rest and plural for the ca 7/36
kitty + short sleep then make plural
ca6 small kitty siesta
gocha thanks
i visited a friend at lakenheath
back for a second. The cream of the crop have finished the grid pretty consistently over their entire playing time -- maybe not in the last 30 days, but in general. the village elders are just the people with the most total points, even if they never finish a grid; the who' hot are the ones who are finishing most consistently in the last 30 days
Is it nice. that is where he will be stationed.
england wasn't sunny enough for me to live there, no offense
Im not in the HOt section
the base is huge, nice facilities
hope that helps Min... hi cathy! if you want to IM, I'll bring it back up?
that's nice to know. Kadena is large also.
there's a duck pond with lots of ducklings
Thanks for the explanation stidmama. I just realized the page also explains the ranking.I rank very poorly
you'll get better over time Min -- we all do!

Most attentivly
i think Nutty sent some of those wasps over to me. i'm sending them back
that was a big nest!!!
Yeps Ren thats not good. No wonder she had no celling
That to me is 3000 too many wasps
yup - the bee man had to do it - imagine 3000 of those bad boys!!!

Congratulations herinfernallady on fireworks!Hooray
Wasps are more nasty than bees right?
hope mr. nut wasn't home for the fumes. hope nutty wasn't home for the fumes either.
Goodness me that gives me the hebies just thing about that
yes!
that would not have been good. they are definately meaner than bees
yellow jackets and wasps are bad bad bad.
wasps can sting multiple times because they don't lose their stingers
Ok i have never heard of yellow jackets. I know that wasps here are mean
I swallowed a bee at my bridal shower few years ago.
we read an article where 1000 wasps can sting 15000 times
Min that is NOT good
you know Bees can kill wasps without stinging them, all they do is rub up against them, the heat generated kills them
min! really! dod you mean to swallow it?
or was it a chocolate covered bee?
Of course I spit it right back out,but it still stung me
hayzeus thats a lot of stings.
wow col - that is very interesting
Hi Col
gidday herin, renfield
nut has a picture of the nest in her bio
do you deal with bees col?
hey all of you in the US, there is a major meteor shower hitting tonight. peak is in one hour and goes until dawn.
yellow jackets are social wasps. they live in colonies have a queen. they are smooth bodied as apposed to bees who have a fuzz or hairy outer coating
Landed on top of my drink&I took a sip w/out seeing it.It was very fortunate that I'm not allergic to bees.
nope, watched a documentary
thanks cheeky
ok im off
love those documentaries!
bye herin
i got 27 yellow jacket stings once. i jumped on a brush pile and regretted it.
later herin - clean pretty!
bye herin.
wasp came to a bee hive as a scout, the bees killed it the way I said
ouch ouoch ouch cheeky!!!!!
bees good - wasp bad
cheeky, you sound like my other half! he's a wasp magnet
or maybe ill watch oprah not sure
yes but it wasnt the worst. i hit a hornets nest witha golf ball once (not on purpose) and got stung 7 times.
good thing you aren't allergic!
i was probably 12 years old the first time i saw a bee or wasp that didnt sting me.
aren;t hornets the worse case stingers?
goodbye everyone time for lunchie! mmmm....
bye ardilla
later dilla!!!
any stinging is bad bad bad.
bye ardilla, nice talking with you.

Once again,I have time to practice on my cluing skills
ok - an 5 min
an 5/10 is plural of the an 4/4 word before it renfield
Did you really need that ren, or are you amusing me?
thanks min- i ffep forgetting that little s
i really needed it - i guess i get the fish as well
It states that there are 127 members online. Sure is quiet for 127 people! Okay,I guess I will shut up now!
2nd ap please - then i will shut up :)
ap 5/16 is apartment abbreviated plus adverb ending
The ap 5/16 word means having a natural tendency.
thanks min-did that deserve a fish? i keep forgetting that ending!
It took my monkey a long time to find the word today
well - my brain appreciates your money's work min!!!
Like yesterday, there's a lag when entering in the log
there is always a lag for me, especially when I am on my laptop
Maybe it is my laptop then doxy1lover.Not everyone says that there's a lag.Maybe it is my wireless router
when i'm wireless on my notebook - which is true on weekends and nights - i have a lag
I'm not wireless, tried to do so, but laptop wouldn't convert over.
I know sometimes it is the website or the server. It is hard to know when it is the website and when it is the computer.Oh well,I've seen it even slower before
I think I'm off for a while, see you all later.
My old laptop wouldn't convert over so got a new one
would love to get a new one. don't have the money for it right now. saving for my European vacation.
Goodbye doxy1lover! I'll see you tomorrow in the log!
see you tomorrow minver.

ttfn
MR. featherbee here....she is in hospital doing well after giving birth to a beautiful boy
congrats mr feather
oh, how wonderful!!! congrats!
thank you
It was strange with her on last night telling us about the contractions etc
i agree... it was the haircut, i'm sure
you live in PA odessa?
they kicked into high gear today. @7:41 this evening, the boy child arrived!
excellent...hopefully not too long for her (or you)
yeah, seriously, how stressful! and yet, so exciting
and yes, i do
we got to the hospital around 5:30 ish. So a rather quick labor
I used to live in Havertown...in Del County...but moved out to CA in November
cool
holy cats, yeah, everyone tells me horror stories of being in labor for days, scares me to death!
indeed
Natural birth, no painkillers or other drugs
yay heather!!!!
oh, just read below, hi doug!
Hi fran
insane, that's all i have to say. the body does some insane things, tolerates all manner of pain
ca6/24
speak for yourself ode :)
i had epidurals for both of mine, heather is amazing!
congrats featherbee!! I did it drug free too! it is the best way to have a baby!!
something your pet might do marisa
mrp is amazing, that was too much pain for me.
how is CA moolingwa? never been there, hear it's pretty nice
breathing techniques is all she used. The doc told her that he used to be a Bradley instructor before being a doc.
second time I lived here...love it
hi all...ca6/24 and ca7/36
http://www.cartoonnetwork .com.au/jsp/game/cknd/flight ofhamsters/index.jsp ............. I love this game!
had first one with drugs. next two without, forth one with and fifth with epidural. epidural is the way to go if long labor. if short, like my 2 and 3, natural is super since no after effects.
oops. O dear, I broke babble
I imagine a "bradley instructor" isn't someone who used to drive tanks
yes, no drugs etc means you get up and walk as soon as the placenta is delivered... good stuff
doug, give heather my best...can't wait to see pics of the baby!
lol moo!
no, its not. That would be a birthing technique that I think makes better sense than Lamaze
although I imagine there are numerous similarities between driving tanks and giving birth
for instance...they're both things I've never done and am unlikely to do
good recovery Moo!!
no similarities to driving a tank and giving birth........sorry.
i'll be back in a bit, have to find a new icon...you're too much moo! :-)
might feel like a tank coming out though
ouch!!!
ouch indeed...I don't even want to visualise that
very good feather. yes it did feel like a tank coming through.....yes, very much so.
it was a boy after all!!
CONGRATES FEATHER
if you stick an umbrella up the eye of your penis, then open the umbrella and pull it out slowly, that is what if feels like :)
OUCH!!!!!
HAHAHAH
and to think i did it many many times........over and over. i never learned. though the 2 and 3rd time were super labors and easy deliveries. i must thank those two kids of mine. and the rest of them, well i love them anyway.
in6/21?
Congrates Daddy Feather and brother Feather
no not the umbrella, i would say to put a baseball up there and then pull it out........or maybe a bit larger ball.
easy on the umbrella crap, this is her hubby.
alot larger bubbym
try a medicine ball!
sorry doug! :)
Hey Mr Feather
poors guys are all convulsing on the floor at the thought
marisal, in + portion of a bridge or what the bridge does to the river or gap.
fortunately I don't think I have an umbrella...it never seems to rain here ;)
well when i was in labor the first time i told my husband i wanted to squeeze his forearm. he said go ahead. and he was shocked how hard i sweezed and from this he could judge how hard a contraction it was. we did this with all 5 labors........so he wound up sharing the pain and we felt bonded. bizarre eh?
as intriguing as the idea sounds
convulsing??? no....squirming...no...writhing on the floor going "OOOOOOO, stop it , it hurts!!!"
moo, not something that I recommend either :)
MR Feather when will Mrs Feather and baby feather be home?
mrp, you put it so well, makes me glad i went straight for the epidural.
my brother thought he would be all galant and put his hand on the wall that I was beating during labour... I nearly broke his hands!
they should be home tomorrow.
