Yes, it's all going to hell, and there's not much that can be done about it
those cell phone text messages make me crazy I tell my grands to just call me, as half the time I cannot make rhyme nor reason out of what they are saying
and they try to say it is shorthand, well it does not even remotely resemble the short hand I was taught
My text messages use proper words - including punctuation.

I stayed up too late last night, watcing for the eclipse. Finally gave up part way through and went to bed. Woke up about a hour later, got up, looked outside and daw the red moon :) (it was 3:45 am my time)

I have good news, btw... had some suspicious tissue removed from my eyelid yesterday and the surgeon said 99,9% of the times it ends in a really impressive black eye, because of the injections. Looks like I belong to the happy few, hardly discoloration at all this morning!

They can be expensive, sprite, and be sure to find out about heart conditions, they can be prone to problems but the breeder should be able to talk to you about that.

I have a friend who has had Cavaliers (a childless couple), I got the impression from them that they are a bit precious. The dogs were always a bit standoffish. I wonder if they would be good with kids? Although I did meet the cutest pug/Cavalier cross the other day - looked like a minature boxer.
Cavaliers are aware of their position in the pecking order. They like to be no 1, but they can be persuaded that their true position is ever so slightly lower down. Just slightly.
I prefer cockers myself :)
they are known for their social natures, I read, lynxxx. They need lots and lots of cuddles and attention, and preferable long walks, though they can do with less exercise occasionally.
It's their royal connections.
They LOVE attention. I think one would fit in with your household very well as they're big enough not to be trodden on, yet not so big as to resemble a donkey in the house.

It's all very well to spoil children in the home, but they get a terrible shock when the rest of the world doesn't cooperate.
I have to say, I like a bit of temper, of character. We used to have an airdale terrier at home and she was so headstrong. When she had to get into her basket, she walked in, walked half out and then lied down.
The rest of the world not having been let into the secret that the world revolves around them.
I don't like spoiling kids. We have a household to run and they are part of it. They must contribute as befits their age. Never seen a kid suffer from learning to pick up after themselves, bringing dishes to the kitchen or folding some clean clothes.

Andree, I cannot walk very good and my equilibrium is off, so I have to have a small dog, that cannot make me fall. I'd love to have it from pup on, so I can train it myself, but before it is trained, a big dog could really harm me.
We have only ever had smaller dogs..but we are contemplating a retired greyhound (a big push to adopt these here so they aren't destroyed when they have finished their racing careers). They seem extremely lazy and are virtual couch potatoes - even getting some of them to run in the park can be a challenge apparently.
sprite a small dog could be easier to trip over,i just found springers to be couch potatoes and easy as house dogs
but they need a lot of exercise, I think, Andree?
Of course this is after our Bob leaves us. He has been a great dog...a bred bitzer - poodle/Shitzu/maltese cross ...loves all people and non-demanding

Our little Bob is happy walking 4 houses down to the canal and watching me feed the ducks while he sniffs around...his type of cross has been bred not only to be cute/small but also to be more home companions. (Outside - what's that!).
if I will really lose my job, I will be spending lots of time at home, so it will not be alone much. We are all the cuddling type in our household, lots of caresses and attention and playing available.

well the one i have is quite and expensive one... like £290 or so... i think thats about $600 but they have much cheaper models. in my family we have 3 different models and have never had a problem with any of them/ 2 of them we have had for over 4 yrs
i wouldnt recommenf kodak... they r not great for quality
no particular model off top of head..but the 500 series was rated well by consumers

I'd say...if the dog got out and was unattended, the owner was negligent, and being as the dog is not capable of controlling its own impulses, it cannot continue to exist with a negligent owner who is aware of the potential dangers.
