i only went to beamish 2 weeks ago and me and the bairn both loved it.i suppose its like anywhere you live, it could be years before you see the local attractions.

Me and my husband have spent almost 10 years travelling everywhere in Durham, Northumberland, Scottish borders, North Yorkshire etc. This is God's own country.
Most of the cathedral is wheelchair friendly but like most ancient buildings there are a few tricky parts.
we do go for drives around the lakes and northumberland.my family are from there.i've been to scotland afew times but am embarrassed to say i prefer to travel abroad.better weather
But we have the best scenery. And not too many tourists as they all think we have flat caps and keep the coal in the bath. LOL.

i'm into egypt at the moment,but obviously, pyramids aren't wheelchair friendly but theres still loads of things to see and the people are lovely.
I just like anything historical. I use 2 sticks so I have empathy with you regarding access to places.

some places really help the disabled and others don't.just because we're disabled doesn't mean we should stay at home.i love to get out and see things when i feel upto it.
never been to scandinavia, would like to go eventually.
I have no intention of ever being a couch potato just because I'm disabled. I make a fuss these days and tell people what they're getting wrong. I think it's not just for me but for all of the disabled people in the world.

A little bit of nerves is good - keeps the adrenalin pumping and keeps you on your toes.
I found, when I started speaking in public that it really helped to focus on breathing, look at the notes, and pretend the audience was just a mirror.
I guess it comes down to limiting "ums" and "ahs" and just focusing on talking? but that's all i picked up from skimming the textbook. I'm hoping I'll learn something in the class that will help out.

The reason I ask about the D&D is that when the 3rd edition came out they created a World of Time sourcebook so you could play in the world

It is a complete book and game in and of itself, tim -- so if you get the chance to, I suggest you pick it up -- lots of great source material, and you never know -- maybe one day you will be able to play a game in the world
