Yes I've been to Minong many times. I love the old saloon there. And my college girlfriend and her dad own a restaurant there. I sold advertising throughout 20 counties in NW Wisconsin and this really is a beautiful area. So many lakes and forests.

hodag - Hi. I've been picking and jamming and other forms of preserving a glut of golden plums plus made 3 Christmas cakes. I know how you feel! Lots of other soft fruits and runner beans but I froze those. Next up is pears... will bottle some and jam some. The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness can be exhausting when it's very fruitful, can't it?

When you do fruit in syrup or wine do you use ordinery jam jars or 'kilner' type preserving jars? It'll be my first time at bottling/canning as I've only ever done jams & pickles before.

oh, neat. Fascinating the history between the two groups, not to mention how some groups Christians identify more closely with the Jewish roots than others.

Different Biblical interpretation methods--I don't get the concepts from the brief examples given
And some Christian theological points which I really should know, and thought I did, except the explanation in the text confused more than clarified.
My Christian frame of reference is a bit limited, informed mostly by Episcopals, Universalists, Quakers, and Unitarians.
I think I'm trying to hard to get specifics from a text intended to be a survey.
I enjoy reading James Morrow's books. He's a theologian the Vatican disowned who writes fantasy novels now. I've learned tons about Catholic heresies in the process of reading them.

and 99% of statistics are exaggerations
Take a course in Statistics and you'll find that 10 people looking at the same numbers will have 10 different meanigs for them
