I urge my kids often to call their grandma and make an appointment to stay with her. They all love it, but making appointments slips their mind. And when some time passes, my mother always blames me... she says I keep the kids from her. So it is a relief she keeps quiet for once.

I have to think about the weekly shopping and i dont want to
ls1, we fed mostly dry on demand, good stuff like (at that time) Eukanuba *hand out for product placement bonuses* plus some canned food as an inducement to eat -- our line tended to be lean. At one time we went to a cheaper local dry food and lost some beloveds to bloat -- very quickly changed diet.
I have an almost 2 year old- very lean, about 11
We also had about 3 acres fenced in by the house where they could get lots of natural exercise in pairs.
Mine gets EVO kibble with a little high quality canned. She has been lean, and is NOT food motivated...

Her pups should not be affected. And, all pups should be immunized against parvo
not breeding intentionally - but the person wh has the dog rescued it from someone who was using her ( a pit bull) for fighting
oh boy -- who's our vet babbler? Not me. Parvo was just being recognised when we had our last litters.
if the dog has had parvo, the pregnancy could be really hard on her heart.
he didnt have the $ to get her fixed and may have gotten pregnant - not sure yet

Ontario has a load of stupid politicians who have made a breed-specific ban on "pitbulls" AND any breed some jerk thinks resembles them. The Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) is fighting this very hard

recently, an elderly diabled woman was mauled by her daughter's dogs. they had alllived in the same house for years.
Well, there are fatal pomeranian bites, too, and I don't see a hue and cry to blame that breed.
The dog which terrorised me as a 5-year-old was a Fox Terrier. The one which taught me not to fear was a German Shepherd. And I have another story about when I was a newborn -- too long to bore youwith now.

it's like this: the pit bull is the facored dog of the inner city. people live very close together, and there is neglect.
I think the real problem is that many people get dogs and don't bother with them. Don't care for them, or about them. And, with pit bulls--which are in the majority in shelters--the sheer numbers are against us.

I know I'd be quite angry if someone tied me to a tree or clothesline without water or food nearby. We have so much of that in our little town because the owner can't afford a fence or it is rental property. I just wanted to say that any dog at any time can be unpredictable so the owner has to take every precaution possible to ensure others are safe.

We had a guy drive up to our place on a Harley or something like that. He asked if we trained our Danes. I asked, suspiciously, "For what?" (because we did, for obedience, show handling, good citizenship, etc). He said "For attack." I said "Absolutely not. A Dane could kill someone." He said "That's what I want. If someone tries to steal my bike, he deserves to die." Ugh. He left in a hurry.
