That happened to me once, and I called the police... they had some officer rescue me with something that looked like a metallic 18-inch ruler... he slid it in between the window and the locking mechanism... worked like a charm... and he teased me unmercifully, too!

I had that happen Scarlet - I had just started the car, purse on floor, and got out to give someone directions but locked the door!!! it was winter
I used to deliver newspapers and once got out of the car to run one to the steps, the pile slid over, locing my doors, while the car was running. Talk about embarrassed.
had to call a tow truck - fortunately had a quarter in my pocket
hi ardilla! Well, this guy finally showed up.. he had a wedge, hammered it between the upper door frame and the car, then slipped a long rubberized "coat hanger" down in the space he created and flipped the door switch.. took about 20 seconds

My sister's in laws came for the wedding & wanted to see the Grand Canyon, the Golden Gate bridge & the Empire State Building. Had a hard time explaining that we couldn't do all in a week. Not without lots of money.

Aloy, and it isn't just visitors. In Rhode Island, we lived on Aquidneck Island & there were people who had never left the island in their lives. We were going to Massachusetts for dinner & they were so worried. We should take water, blankets, food, etc in case we got lost. It was a 20 minute drive!!!

Haz -- it is probably a complete coincidence, but over the weeknd, our big dog got an eye infection. No surprise, he goes galumphing about the woods in the back all the time. So Monday, I take him to the vet and get eye ointment. Tuesday night, stidkid #2 complains his eye itches, so yesterday when it's all swollen and red I take him to the doc. And get eyedrops for conjunctivitis... get home and the $30 eyedrops had the same medicine as the $10 dog eye ointment! *sigh*
Compared with some of the ladies he works his magic on.
It'll be no coincidence that the same stuff is used in both types of medicines. I recall getting antiobiotics for sinusitis, husband looked and declared that it was 'Nuflor' - used for cattle!
