hi nan
i went to the archive to check the puzzle that jjust ended but it was just a list of the chat log
how do you find the words
there is a link somewhere on that page Anna -- and you can also see which ones you got -- but I haven't looked at it in ages...
the puzzle archive is different from the chat archive anna
Evening all.
hello moon
ra 8. anyone called it yet?
hmm okay i will see
yes we have joe
hi, all. 2 8s and a 7 so far
cy7 if nobody's called it
oops. sorry. didn't scroll down far enough.

cy 7 x 2

i'm having little luck besides that word though...
ty volley and jes.
go jes go!!!!
yw
meh. i'm only up to 30 and despite everyone calling other 7's, i'm not seeing them. (yeah, i know. pity party much?)
jes's cy7 word was good. Volley... yours not so hot :-)
I think someone called me8 -- ?
yes, jill, a few times! LOL
yes jill -- two of us
speaking of cy, I'm seeing Cyrano as my grid phantom
how was volley's less good than mine, freep? it's there :P
lol just change one vowel to get mine
nice one, thanks Jill
I'm just being silly, jes. as if I could tell which one you got first!
LOL, freep
heh. *hands freep a cracker*
oh well. I'm no good at biggies -- but how about ad6/39?
thanks Dee... I needed that hint!
which I found
hm. that seems pretty big to me Jill *squints at grid*
phantom adroit
yw!
thanks, jilli
ad7 is like it
sean! hello hello! how's the new year going for you???? *happy smile*
ooh! I found a CR 8!!!!!!!!

*jumping up and down* five days??? five days???? *sigh* I can't wait that long. Tell them stidmama needs you to have it in your hand NOW.
rh8
tx std, you inspired me to look & I made a good guess - or maybe used my head ;)
ty stid
glad to help, melon and nan!
thx freep
--used my head and your hint on that one as well, stid
I'm certain it was your head, melon, lol
late flip
osuracnaes, are you a violist by any chance???
yes... but not a very good one, hehe
vn cr 8 stid.
hey TEA! We took down our holiday decorations today! *proud look* they will not be up until spring!
my head has eaten!
proud of you! ours were down last weekend because I couldn't stand to look at them anymore ;)
and by not very good you mean. . .
btw, I'm a bassist - used to be good {sigh}
melon has eaten? has eaten what??? *eyes chocolate sitting on arm of sofa*
I hadn't played for several years and never really recovered
I hadn't played for several years and never really recovered
oops
i should be pun*ished
jill dear, drop a crumb or two my way... the AD you found?
at least you still play, melon -- haven't touched my violin (other than to get my granddaughter started) in 40 years or more.
oops - spoken like a violist {hides lest a shoe be thrown y way}
took my Xmas stuff down today too -- last night was the 12th and I'm not Ukrainian or Greek Orthodox
thanks for the ad's, the cr and the rh... great finds!!
I keep saying I'm going to get back at it, but I hate to cut my fingernails -- never had any when I was young!
stid -- contains a 6 tile
thanks jill! that was perfect!
phantom traitor
I have it now... almost to halfway...
*beams*
did someone call an rh?
yes nan
yep, nan -- not me tho
cybernan, I actually moved my bass into my bedroom - NOT AS WEIRD AS IT SOUNDS - so I can just pick it up & play it. When it was in a corner in the living room I had to move things around to get to it - amazing how a little barrier can keep one from playing. i do play 15 or 20 min a day. My 12 year old cellist nephew thinks i'm great - that's enough to keep me going. i have a hilarious video of him laying my bass on youtube.
rh 8 was called
melon! that is my problem with the guitar and the piano... the latter makes an all-too-convenient resting place for sundry papers...
oh, yeah - piano as hat rach/bookshelf/jigsaw puzzle surface, etc. etc. . .
not that I am all that good at either anyway... but perhaps I can think of something... the guitar hanger just gets it off the floor, but doesn't really make it easier to get to.
s the rh8 a word i should know?
yeah. the etc. etc. is what gets me in trouble... LOL
hi, all
hello egbok!
hey, egbok
yes melon
yes, melon. I think you know the word
hi, egbok!
the other 8's jumped right out at me, but not the rh!
will *i* know the word? *worried look*
hi egbok -- thought y9ou were scrabbler who has the same icon!
yeah, i can't find that one either nan.
nonetheless, I'm hitting the hay. kid is BTS tom'w so we're back to waking up at 7. laila tov, all
did anyone find the last 8? I have: cr, me, ra, rh
so did i jilli, i had to look again to make sure lol
is the first vowel on the rh round or pointy?
no im looking for the same one dee
got it ---- twists around the grid a lot
its round stid
my son has a trombone and keyboard in his room and we hear but don't see him.
okay, thanks lil *thinking*
ju 7
bah! I don't know it. I am too stoopid this time of night.
when you get it stid...you'll probably ask for the guppy lol
ty chic for ju 7
is it similar to the ra 8?
my face with the letter J on my forhead?
no stid
hm. okay... *scratches head*
not at all, stid
stid, when you find it, kick some understanding my way.
think "gone with the wind" stid...
no, scrabbler is someone else
chic--I got it from your clue---ty
sorry all -- I am sure they are perfectly clear clues, but my brain is not clear tonight.
o thank goodness. me too finally. ty ty chic.
I'm with you, stid -- none of them is penetrating my foggy brain
not me. *pounds head on keyboard*
do people have the lickety clues?

*slams head into wall and wails* FISH PLEASE!!!!!
ty jili

told you, you would stid lol
It ends with Harriet Nelson's son
okay, now I need the CY 8... does it build off either 7?
hello summer!
thot it was a cr 8, not a cy 8??
how many words were there again?
is there a cy 8? thought that was a typo.

Clues are up!
ty ty ty lickety!

thank you lickety!!!
gracias lickety.
thanks lickety
thanks lickety

Oh, thanks Lickety!

stalled at 90 -- think it's tough too
Hello
Thanks lickety

the ur7's are toughies
Hi

tary
think "kidney failure"
figured it had to do with the kidneys, but that didn't help!
ur + vowel + similar ending to iron defiency in blood
excuse the crappy spelling
bless you pink.
philia?
woohoo. i'm at a whopping 98 now. the pace has certainly slowed.
lol joe your welcome, change the last letter for the other 7
did anyone call an ad7 (not the 6)?
not haemophillia, the other one more commonly known
got the Us
someone did freep
that's the only one I know!
I used to work in nephrology but still can't get it!

u's done -- thanks pink
ur + 1st and 2nd vowel + *ed** <-- me5/14
I see our 'almost a state' babblet is back

Um do we have a Scrabbler in disguise did i miss something?
did anyone call the ju7 yet?
egbok is new and is using scrabbler's icon
finished
yes hugs and hello
hug HI!!!!!
yahooooo mitch!!!
MAHvellous, mitch!!!
WTG Mitch
Hi pink and Dee how are ya?
well done mitch -- can't see you for the smoke!
yay mitch and hi all!
so happy to see you! Plugging away here in crazy weather Indiana LOL
pyro is in the grid but doesn't count
ty, good night all
Why? That seems very LAME. Its not like scrabblers icon is an everyday thing. If anyone uses one of my icons that i have taken as a pic with my own camera i will be pissed
im well hugs happy belated new year to you and yours!!
nice, mitch
I think egbok didn't know it was Scrabbler's
ty pink... and same to you
sigh
I give up till the morning, bye for now.
bye egbok
Hi MVA
how do you like your new car hug?
hi MVA!
bye egbok!
maybe im just a crabby bitch today
bye egbok
hi hugs and pink
I think it would be polite of egbok to change because Scrabbler has used that icon for ages and it's identifying
hi MVA
jeez its only a pic
hi jilli, how are you?
sleepy, thanks, MVA!
Aloha Babblers!
Hi Fran!
hi mva, fran
hi fran!
hi frannie!
hi jilli!
hi dee! hi mva! hi pink!
Hi Fran
hi infernal!
I think egbok could have been asked nicely before jumping. They might not have even known it was scrabblers'.
Um Sometimes pictures are actually taken by members cameras like mine ego stealing. As i said i am a crabby bitch today so just ignore the crazy lady
egbok was told several times
You guys are usually so good about making people feel welcome. That was hard to watch.
Evening fran
TOLD. Not asked.
i think she felt away, so she logged off!
told it was scrabbler's icon, not told to change
Could you blame them?
And it seems to me that they could have been asked, not told... That's all I'm saying.
hey moon!
How's new year's in the Aloha State, fran?
we had a busy weekend, but other than that it's fine.
I suppose the me7 and me8 have been called?
maybe we should have given at least one day for egbok to change the icon
has anyone seen greenbayladi recently, i haven't seen her in ages!
good morning all :) My first day of translating :)
hi sprite!
(((((((((((((sprite))))))))))))
hi hugs!
hi sprite!
That's a very nice etching fran. Merry Ukranian Xmas.
Hi Fran
Hi Sprite
Hiya Spritey! You've started then??
thanks moon, i wish i knew some ukrainians.
moon, egbok was not TOLD anything, but the fact that it was scrabbler's icon was mentioned. S/he was given every opportunity to realise it or mention it or change it but chose to ignore it.
every workday from now on, woof, and in the weekends too if possible. :) Will start with the short story, then the rest.
last 8 is di 8
Enuf awreddy.
sprite!! howdy
is there an icon problem?
Hi sprite!
wtg volley
what langauge do you translate sprite?
thanks hugs, i just started, didn't have the me7/8
guys, thanks for the heartwarming welcome :D Don't know how you do it, but you always manage to make me feel better.
ty nan
That's Very cool to hear Sprite. I'm looking forward to it.
dutch to english, pink, my own book.
i was going to use sprite's icon for "dutch things" day...i'm sure glad i didn't!!
Nan, what a lovely legend in your profile!
so what? who decides who "own" and icon? where is it written that the same icon may not be used by more than one?
Fran, why not? You are totally allowed to, lol. What's with the icon stress all of a sudden?
Well, what would you do with the ukranians if you had them, Fran?
just checking, it might have seemed like a dumb question, but i thought it could have been another langauge ;)
ty jill
i don't know moon, celebrate christmas with them maybe. :-)
Hi Sprite
nan, that is a nice story and a cool icon!
I don't know any other language well enough to make a real good translation, and I am that critical b*tch that cannot go for anything less, lol.
hi babrab!
Ahah. If you need another Xmas, fran, we could set an arbitrary Babble Xmas date, and celebrate, then...
I am with Rabble on this. WIll ask a 3rd time: what's with the icon stress?
you always make me smile sprite
Babble my icon is from my camera therefore as the photos owner it is mine. Also ignorance pisses me off. I always look at others icons to make sure im not treading on peoples toes.
Evening BR. Just check the log, guys.
let's make every day Xmas, forget the humbug and go for peace
You can NOT possibly tell me, herin, that that was a picture scrabbler took. *I* have found it on the web...
from what i gather sprite, a new babbler is using the same icon scrabbler uses. i personally don't think it's a big deal either.
and what you considerr ignorance is your opinion
please, no one argue over the icons, is it really worth it?
well, someone was driven from the room over it
seems simple to me. Either you own the picture, like lady here, or the icon is for common use. But I understand you have exhausted this discussion already... I will stop, LOL.
No, it's not useful to argue about Any of it. I'm just disappointed.
remember the day mrP came home? All limecats :)
hi babrab
which reminds me... after the crash I lost all my icons. Also my little lurker here. Better refind it on the internet! Before I go with a theme for the day and afterwards have to go without my lurker...
really? that would have been Uber confusing for me, but amusing, nonetheless
very amusing, and mrP loved it, woof. And yes, it was a little confusing, but since the names are next to them, it was ok.
ah -- just spotted the volcano and got down to 50 all in one fell swoop --- good night all -- see you tomorrow :)
oh no Sprite! you have lost you heart!!
that was done under different circumstances, its not really an issue for me but i see all points of view :)
whew. fireworks. with some serious clue help at the end there

Hi Sprite. What's your book about?
I know Fran. I feel like this every night... Like I got the swing shift.
Hi Sprite - hope you can find your heart
Marmar, there is a link on my profile.
hi lynxxx, marmar, and so on
lynxxx, how do you mean?
I'll check it out. Thx.
moon, i think you're actually working a double shift. :-)
Hi Jilli.
Hi MVA, didn't see you there
(at least that's what I thought the schedule said)
Sprite - your original heart icon
please forgive any typos I may make in the next several minutes... I have three of the boys staking out their claim on what used to be my desk space
I think woof is on an everlasting active shift :)
Well, crap. Need more coffee then, brb
lol meta, tell them to realise you have seniority over them.
hello Metal
Oh right... forgot. That doesnt work for me lol
lol moon
Evening Meta. And good luck with that
omg lynxxx you are right! That is even worse! I made that myself from an existing image... arghhhh. Had not even realised that :(
one left so it's down to two now, lol. would be alright if they didn't keep using the keyboard as either a brace or a pillow
lol meta... boys will be boys will be boys...
i'll be right back, kids are hyper from a party today, have to calm the house down
yep
Well you can make a new one sprite. To mark your "New" heart.
hb Fran :)
going now, back to work after three weks off, wish me luck!!
Good luck fran!
good luck MVA!
good luck MVA, will miss having you around so much as the last 3 weeks. Have a good day!
Metal hello
Good luck, M. Congrats and I'm sorry all at once.
and good luck fran too
bye MVA
woof, that is a good idea. It is definitely a lesson in letting go, lol. Will take it to 'heart'.
Good =) You should check your mail. lol
how can there be 5 x 8-words in this weird grid?
volcano alert
*gonna start up mailwasher now!*
hate to have to have a break down letting go of too much at once =)
Sprite...facinating! And a beautiful site.
There's also a hairy dolphin...
the Celebes buffalo
the dolphin is a phantom
I promise, it's virus free. I've been offline for a while, but I've never seen anything get thru the hardware firewalls my friend makes.
Dern dolphin!
I could have sworn it took that one. =P
thank you, Marmar!
Hi Marma
and the silly against breathing
Hi Lady!
Marmar, can I ask you something? Are you planning on becoming pro or do you like being unpro?
why do I always forget which babblet is the buffalo...
is it the t4?
an sprite
I am So glad you're the writter... I'm as graceful with words as I am with toupees
lollll woof.... SO not true. You are a marvel with toupees. Couldn't do it half as well if I tried.
Me, neither =P
the buffalo is a phantom too
jilli, then the buffalo is as ghostlike as the dolphin today?
I consider that a yes ;)
is there two JU words please
Sprite, I want to, my husband offered it to me as a Christmas present but the day before he sort of insulted me (that I spend too much time here) so I refused....can you say "bite off your nose to spite your face"?....I can be so dumb sometimes.
yes, sprite!
lol Marmar, no way, good for you. Presents should be something to enjoy, not things that have a bad aftertaste.
Should we spite her face?
back up to three boys now, the smallest, Data, and the two largest Myth and Legend. There's a mutual grooming session going on
Metal do you still have all the kittehs?
You named your kid Data?? You are the Coolest mom!
sure do
sure did moon, one of my furkids
Would you be my mom? Those are all Way better than my name.
woooot meta, great names!
lol, ok moon. just sprout fur and show up on my doorstep
My mom sucks, and I need a new one. I can't pay well, but I take myself out for walks. Interested?
Sprite, Instead I signed up for an online scripture study, never done anything like that before. But I will probably just sign up for Pro on my own soon.
I love your name, actually, woof.
ty sprite... Lore is the other boy, Rumor's the girl and Spot is mom
meta, woof is right, you are the COOLEST. Lore and Data :D :D
might be moon, might be. are you litter trained?
Is there Just 2 JU words
woof, mail on the way
So you say, sprite... you didnt have to go thru grade school with it.
thought you might like that Sprite...
3, herin
ta
okay, back!
I can see how that would be bad, woof. But now you are grown up, you can boast an original and strong name.
wb Fran! Did it work?
I am litter trained. And I clean stuff as often as any other fur kid. But *I* have a driver's licence and can be there in 3 months...
WB Fran!
Tghanks
woof, my mom sucks too. We could become siblings and drive meta crazy together :)
oh look! i just found the in5/10 that's right in front of my face
I'll give it original... But so were "dweezil" and "moon-unit"
thanks moon!
c'mon down then. we'll give you a trial run before you're adopted official-like
omg... four boys now
Done deal. You know we'll have to beat up the other kids for a couple of days to let em know who's boss...
I have a ju 4 and a ju 7 what am i missing please
my desk simply isn't that big
dweezil.... hmz. Not sure about that one. Moon-unit is out, too made-up. No good ring.
greek temple alert
Perfect!
no problem there, woof. Love to beat up some kids. Can't touch mine that way, so sounds great to me :)
lol Fran - was wondering if you saw that
Those Are real names, sprite. That's what Frank Zappa named his son and daughter respectively.
ju5 infernal
thanks jilli!
I can build a bigger desk. It'll work out fine, Mom!
I've always wondered why they got stuck with those and the other boy got the relatively normal sounding Ahmet
kind of cruel, woof
thanks.
Sorry if i have been mean and rude over the last few days
I think even Frank Zappa can buckle under enuf peer pressure...
as a kid, I had neighbours with last name Olie (oil). Dad's first name was Peter. Right, Petrol, in dutch exactly so. Guy named his daughter Petra.
Fran i used to work in the court system and i didn't see that ju 5
well, it is twisty infernal, perfectly understandable.
the ju5 is the only one I have. I better get moving, or I will babble away my translating time!
moon, did you get my email?
Actually, Sprite, now that I'm all Growd Up, I realize it's all perspective. Little kids mock Everything. I could have been named Jenny or Liz or anything and they would have mocked me.
lynxxx, if i wasn't looking for I words, it wouldn't have been found until later i'm sure. :-)
and if you have a normal name like Frances, they decide that you look like Carol Burnett and call you that. :-)
if they cannot mock you over your name, they will mock you over your nose, mouth, hands, clothes, bike, shoes, mom, dad, friends, grades....
Need to go to amazon and get my books
Need to go to amazon and get my books
ugh
the an7 has me stumped
hi Saddy!
hi saddy!
Hi saddy - a7 is against breathing
thanks lynxxx!
Evening saddy. And yes. But I know that Now. I didnt then. I was a little bitter for a while.
against breathing??? im really stupid today cuz i have no clue still
And your email has been returned
hi saddy
jeez
Saddy: against = not pro. + the stuff we breath.
got it
thanks
hi jilli, moon. fran sprite
I totally agree, woof. Let's go for it :)
Dr. G has been mailed.
She's stuck now =)
darn, there is a word staring me in the face the whole time and I did not spot it until now.
Wonder when he'll get to it, tho...
wonderful!
sprite, you're only 2 minutes after me!
with drG you never know... but I am sure he will get to it eventually ;)
lol Fran, thanks for making me feel a little better over it ;)
I stated i am a meat eating vegan
Hi Saddy
Oh yes. But I wonder when she will lol
nice statement, lady
ha, just realized, when I glance quickly directly at the grid, the word Rotterdam pops out....
lolllll Marmar!
I hate to eat the food that food eats...
a tip of the hat to the Dutch!
lol woof, nice one!
But I do it, anyway.
*snicker* moon, i like that
Words are fun =)
I cant have most dairy these days thus vegan kinda sums it up
phantom: the adj version of ta6/18
Actually, I almost made a friend wet himself today... I was almost proud.
phantom: adroiter
lol woof, very good!
I tried to tell him that I think healthy relationships are a matter of economy. An equal exchange of goods or services...
wow lynxxx, I only saw adroit. You are even better!
And he was doing fine until I said that I thought of getting ready for a date as "packaging"
sounds like the truth, woof
nope - I am rally bad with this grid...think I'll go wash some dishes and get coffee and try again...BBS
lollll woof
totally true moon!
later lynxxx!
'bye lynxxx
I think it is. It's all a part of the "Compatably Screwed Up Relationship System" I'm developing =D
snicker...
I've already got the patent on that moon
my fella and I exemplify it
I know Fran... But I had such a Hard time deciding if I was proud or evil for making him run out of the room like that.
I think I'm with lynxxx, I've only scraped together 20 words and can't think anymore. See you all later. Have a wonderful morning, day or night!
Well, that's ok Mom. We're family, now. {{{grin}}}

lol woof... yeah, you prolly swear too much. But you're entitled to ;)

hi pretty mrp!
Aww. This one's tough jilli. That's not surprising...
Evening MrP
Hi Mr Pres
hi mrP!
di8/55 is like a pan****** shot of a landscape, start with di instead.
I think your clue works better, Fran
They're little shoe box scenes you make in grade school, Saddy
hopefully the combination will work for saddy sprite. :-)
thanks for the clues... but i monleyed it :D
They inspired her Monkey. Good enuf for me lol
*throws saddy's monkey a banana*
hugs all round! I think I have good news about moving. We just found a house 2 blocks from the school, it is completely renovated with brand new everything and a fenced yard, reverse cycle aircon, garage.... 2 blocks from the school!! (did I mention that already? LOL) It looks gorgeous! I pray we get it
crossing my fingers for you mrp!
*kicks Saddy's monkey* What were you thinking, little ape, that I was giving that clue for nothing?
thanks for the parting di8 gift, all you clever cluers -- now I'm off *poof*
but frans clues are better i agree,... no offence to all those other cluers who save my butt lol
but frans clues are better i agree,... no offence to all those other cluers who save my butt lol
Good luck with it, MrP. It'd be great for you not to have to gypsy if you didnt want.
night jilli!
*prays for mrP and family* You have to get it, darling.
hey, don't rub it in, Saddy.
Nite jilli. Sleep sweet
Ouch. I hadnt realized Saddy was a nick for Sadistic...
That might have hurt my feeling.
(will sleep with fingers and toes crossed for mrp and gang)
30 to go, I'm off to bed
ooh, don't get cramps jilli!
night flosey!
Good job Flosey! Sleep sweet
oops sorry
Saddy for sadistic, just like my real name is for sarcastic :)

yay flosey! And sleep well.
all good wishes to you mrp - hope you get the house
hi coolits
hi coolits!
give some clue for a 8 letter word
Saddy, we are just teasing. Don't take us seriously. Seriously.
I'm just playing around Saddy. No offense. =)
back in the morning
coolits, is that an order?
hi frank
nope
ry
heheh i know...
sorry
different clues work for different people, thank goodness
im just asking for help
i liked making the shoeboxes...
lol coolits... asking usually goes with words like please, or questionmarks...
Sorry coolits. I don't have any a8's.
i don't think we ever did the shoeboxes moon, or maybe i wasn't in school that day.
I have 8s, but I wanna keep them. Need to finish and get to work!
i really dont mean to say dat way
That's ok, coolits. We're just trying to help you practice.
thats just ok moon
thats just ok moon
yay! i found the italian greeting without a clue or the list! (i usually need one of the two)
well done Fran!
nice 1 frank
Well... It's also very possible I was in a "special" school Fran, but didnt know it.
ROFL moon! I wouldn't doubt it. *snicker*
lol woof
has someone finish d grid??
Me, neither. Told ya my mom sucked.
My OLD mom, that is.
several people already, cool
Yes, coolits, but they've left for the evening.
have you finish sprite??
Unless sprite is holding out on me.
ahh
that's true moon, because ML is very cool
LOL
memory of old mum starts to become vaguer... image of meta becomes stronger and stronger...
your "new" mom
Yeah. And she might read the chat log....
no, almost finished though
didn't realize moon'd imprint on me that quickly
I wonder if I should have told her I have 5 fur kids of my own...
DERN IT
lol
busted
I so am lmao
you make such a strong impression, meta...
One of them is my mate... does that help, mom?
Ya cant expect a woof to leave her mate...
sure, mine's furry too
and a great source of heat on chilly nights
i am so cryingg
Your timing there was impecable. You're WAY cooler than my mom.
fireworks :)
yay sprite!!!
yayyyy sprite!
Hooray for Sprite !
{{{applause}}}
done with dishes already lynxxx, i have more. :-)
*takes a bow*
I wonder if she'll notice, tomorrow...
she will, if she gets an email from drG or us. Otherwise, it will not show, I think? Or wait, it will. The stats. Right?
Want to take bets on how long it takes her to notice her new status?
who who who ?
Good point...
lol, hell no, I am a lousy better. Sure thing is that she does not see it coming :)
But will she equate the two...
did you guys do something sneaky?
That's very true.
we did, Fran. Made someone pro.
i know what it is!!
yeah, that
Us??? No way. I already got busted once tonight. {{insert pious puppy look here}}
DERN IT
Fran busted us.
my daughter's pet, Ella, died today... she is away at sleepover. Will be tough tomorrow
that was really nice you two
omg, that look does it. Makes me feel guilty right away, woof!
oh no mrp
darn, mrP, that sucks! I am so sorry for her!
oh mr p. I'm so sorry
which pet was it, i know you guys have a few
That's harsh MrP. I empathize.
not fair from the universe. Kid has enough to cope with as it is.
Ella was a rat, correct?
thats sad MRP...give her an extra cuddle from us all.
Her favourite pet that loved her so much, Ella was the rat, and Claire, the other rat, is crying
Learning that life is constantly changing is a good thing to learn, tho.
that is incredible. Didn't know they could. I am gonna send Maddison an e-card at your addy, mrP, okay?
Having a loved one die is a hard way to do it... but maybe they can help console one another.
my son cuddled her for half and hour, crying... he is sad for claire too. claire is trying to wake ella up, is kissing and cuddling up to her. It is so sad
thanks sprite, that woud be lovely!
so maddison won't know until tomorrow? poor thing
It's good that she still has a big family to help her thru it, tho.
i wonder should I call her and tell her. Ella has been very sick for the last couple of days so she knew what might come
i wouldn't mrp
I would not. Early enough when she gets home.
She cant change it where she's at. Unless you can go get her I dont think I would tell her, yet...
i took the rat to an emergeny vet at 11pm about a month ago... we noticed she was really unwell. she seemed to recover, but we knew it was a matter of time. poor ella, poor maddie
Good morning all......any chance of a clue for ad6/7 combo please?
Morning Flask!
she wanted the rat to have an operation to save her, but I know that the operation and recovery would have been worse! we would have had a very depressed rat, in pain and not living a rat life. I explained that to maddie and she accepted that
hi flask!
hi Flask
don't have it yet, i'll start looking though
morning guys!
thanks Fran....
Well, if she accepted that, then perhaps she can accept that her friend isnt in pain, anymore.
Hi Flask
mrP, card is sent.
Hi lynxxx
thanks all :) and thank you sprite (hugs)!
The ad6 = to command solemnly and the ad7 is someone who ad6s
is it ad6/39 flask?
yes, fran
yes Fran
it is from a dutch ecard site, mrP, but it is perfectly safe, she can open the link.
ooh, moon beat me, i just found it
Sorry frani =)
ad7 is ad + person at court that sits in judgement (one of 12 usually)
thanks moon and Fran....
ad6 is the verb form of the word, drop the last two letters and end with an E
yw flask, thanks for pointing it out. :-)
phantom: admire
I am off, you all have a terrific day and/or night. And thanks for the great company. Wish me luck on translating :D
have a great day sprite!
and have fun with the translating
Good lucky huny! And have fun =)
what an odd word!!!
be sure to check your mailbox later today, woof... for the short story :)
I Absolutely will.
Am I the only one who thinks Oreo should be a word, by now??
it is a word, enable just doesn't like it. :-)
so should pyro
Are the people who put the words Into enable maladjusted or something? I mean Come On. It's right up there with Lego and Pyro
See? Mom said so.
phantom: ardor
i'm already seeing enough non-words ML, i didn't need another one. :-)
how can there be 3 more 8s?
frank can i have for a clue for 8's plz?
Just to bug you, Dr. G has updated the site with optical illusions to draw you off the course of Real Words.
coolits, i only have two, di8 and me8
It's like those illusions that are really in black and white but fool your brain into seeing colors...
di8 is like a pan****** photo (really wide), but start with di
ok thats good...
me8 is one who tries to reach a resolution between two parties
very well then.. thnks that could be help
me8's are often diplomats
moon, do you have the ju7? someone mentioned it earlier, but i haven't found it yet
yes... the group of peers you mentioned earier... take off the "y" and add ac**** (not alkaline)
thanks moon! i kept trying stuff like that, didn't have the right combo till now.
you wouldnt happen to have the or6 would you? I've been looking for it for a half an hour, and I keep seeing oreo.
yw, of course.
any other clue for di8??
a scene, often in miniature, reproduced in three dimensions by placing objects, figures, etc., in front of a painted background.
that's the definition, the di8 is the adjective version of that word.
hmm. di8 = latin word for god + a male goat + "**k, that tastes awful"
tnx frank got it
good, cause i didnt think the **k would fly far...
yw coolits
lol moon
I Seriously wanted to say "sounds like what Bill the cat said" lol
And I Know that wouldnt have even taken off.
it might have worked for me. :-)
Yeah... But you're smarter than the average bear. =)
just when it comes to the Sunday comics i think
Yeah. But what else counts??
'bye for now all. I'm about to go nose-first into the keyboard so it's nap time for me
LOL, you've got something there.
night ML!
will have to wait for later to pick up the last 78
Nite mom! Sleep sweet. =)
moon, you behave while I'm gone. I don't want to have to spritz you with water or lock you in the bathroom
ROFL!!
anymore clues plz?
{{{blink blink}}}
those are the only 8s i have coolits, this is a pretty hard grid
*wqves sleepily to all and says* 'nitey nite and happy babbling , *then goes "poof"
/,,,/ <-------- scritch here and I will...
you said it Fran
nite Metal
finding it difficult too lynxxx?
Ok. must behave. must behave. must behave. SHINY!
too right - just scraped past halfway
this is the slowest puzzle we've had in a while
the other 8s are as follows. cr8 ra8 rh8
rh8 = all the crap politicians are spouting in debates.
TY moon - that should keep me out of troble for a half hour!
ra8 is what cools the engine in a car.
I'm getting there lynx LOL
nice 1 moon
thanks moon! found the cr8 myself
this is a nice spread of words, there are not 45 t words! or 38 d's!
great clues!
And cr8 = first part of skull bones + personal pronoun + past tense of consumed
If it gets you your word, I'm glad I could help. =)
yeah, that's true mrp, and only 8 Cs! yay!
Besides you gotta cover for me when mom comes back.
don't worry, if she asks, you were an angel. :-)
hey MRP - read about the maybe house, fingers crossed for you. To buy or rent?
I'm an idiot... why did I type "past tense of consumed" when I could have typed "+ 8"??
Yeah for backup!
you also said a word, to the sin bin with you!
or just "consumed" :-)
omg. I truly Am becoming one... to the dawg house.
probably about due for the bin anyway. I must need sugar.
you guys give the best clues - even a duh like me understands them...... thanks to all
to rent lynxx... there is nothing to buy, it is all crap for stupid prices
yw Traveller. And hullo.
hi traveller!
hullo moon :)
MRP - rent is good, you'll have time to find the next perfect house. Location sounds good!
hiya Fran
Hi Traveller
we went to see an open house today, it was absolutely gorgeous!
go look on google.com/maps
Are you in the market too Fran?
I will mention, tho, that IF you are a "duh" you have good taste. Welcome to the grid
hello lynxxx
lynxxx, we like to dream that we can afford a house here. :-)
I have dreams about places with a dishwasher that works...
lol...i think this is my third or 4th... have finished 2
that's great for a newbie traveller
wow! thats fantastic traveller, took me months!
well.... lickety and helpful clues.... great site
Then you're doing better than I did, when I started, traveller. It took me 2 weeks of banging my head on a dictionary before I figured out that people were even cluing.
many words i have never heard of.... now have a big list of words to look up some meanings
I don't think Lickety was going when I first started - Fran?
I dont think I finished a grid that whole time and I kept wondering what people meant when they kept saying "fireworks".
I like that part, actually. The dictionary is a great book, even if it lacks charachter development.
when i started lickety was around, that was almost two years ago
Well, it was 2 months ago... and I was too thick to realize anyone might make something like Lickety did... I'm so dense sometimes it's eerie.
i actually didn't play a grid until May 2006 even though i started my account in March
Traveller - you know you can click on the ? next to bthe words and get the meanings (most times)
omg. *I* didnt know that Lynxx LOL
the hard part of this site - is leaving it to do whatever needs to be done lol..... like now i need sleep...
See? I'm still an id5
hah! traveller is hooked, time to go pro
I thought I was missing a graphic or something LOL
lol thanks id5! didn't have that
yw, I'll call it a fair trade. =)
crikey fran - just finding my way around the site - pro is a bit much lol
i must have an addictive personallity (1 L or 2??)
after two weeks it gets harder traveller, you won't have the tile and word stats. :-)
Pro actually makes it a little easier, traveller, IMO.
one "L"
especially after the first 2 weeks!
ahhhh then i might need to reconsider
personality. Something I'm accused of, so I looked it up {{grin}}
Especially after your first couple of weeks and the stats go away.
it's a lifetime membership, so it's a great deal traveller
ok will consider it
And 15 bucks is Nothing for a good game, nowadays.
okay, getting late here, i have to get to some other puzzles and then to bed
and and and - you can then ask Lickety for BasbbleExpert - your life will be sooo much easier when we get the huge grids
our exchange rate might be more - but will look
Nite fran. Sleep sweet =)
huge grids
goodnite Fran
Yup. Huge. The largest since *I* started was 300 some... But there have been 500s
but... must sleep - nice to chat - night and good luck with the grid
300-400+ They used to take me hours and hours before BabbleExpert
Where are you from, traveller?
night everyone! or have a good day if you're in part of the world that's just getting up!
any clue for cr8 plz??
Ah. Sorry. Nite traveller.
new zealand moon
goodnite Travller - see you again
goodnite to all
cr8 = start of head bones + personal pronoun + 8
Goodnight coolits
Hi

Ah. ok. Recipies.
Yes. One is called Vegan Cupcakes take over the world

Cant afford X and the books in Aus are too expensive
have you tried ebay, or places like that?
I am drooling at Amazon
a clue please for either of the ur7's...please?
brb
the 2nd ur is an adjective of the first... the first ur7 = ur*l mountains + an**** (a blood disorder)
Morning all.
thanks moon...
collectively it's an abdominal blood condition.
yw Flask. Morning BF
Hi BFS

***tiptoes in, whispers good morning Babblers, and tries to rattle off a few words before work.***
hi Lori - it bites
Yoy don't get away THAT easily, Lori! Good morning.
LOL lynx figgers' this one to be a meanie? G'd morning Lynx, Haz. How goes the battle?
Yoy ? You, I meant.
I thought perhaps there was a jewish theme today, of which I was yet unaware. :-) :p
I'm at the 'I should be getting on with housework' stage. And <-------- is looking for a walk as well.
Lori hello. And thank you Haz for the sponsorship of Lori/Uni
I'd better go. See you later, Lori.
Take care Haz. catch you later on perhaps. I are diving in to the grid, then disappearing to work.
Hi lori
Can I help anyone with any clues b4 I go?
Night lynxx im poking stuff
Ok goodnite Infernal and anyone else who is around.
so is this a real grid or just another sicko twisted monster in disguide?
disguise
sicko
so I shouldn't even BOTHER starting..as I will be equally angry today as yesterday?
I don't know carlee.
I've been finding them all frustrating recently, but that might be due to my sun starved half/brain
there's lots of poison to take in the grid if things get too hard
lovely... that at least is comforting
holy cow..going up to 62 here later today...
i know-there was a record here overnight of 42!
it will probably make everything incredibly slippery, but it's nice to have the snow sliding off the roof even if the avalanches make us jump every time
it was 52 here yesterday.... most of our snow all gone
cripes I just looked it was 52 over night too
funny that it's warmer up there than in Vermont
the great lakes....
it makes us more like west coast ntil a long chill time occurs to close up the lakes
those bring a warming environment?
actually we NEED a long deep freeze to get the water levels coming back up
Lake Champlain doesn't do the same thing. Burlington has a wicked cold wind.
How does a deep freeze raise water levels?
water cools slower then air...and is the cold air mass that brings in winter....with the ground bordered by a "warm mass" yes...keep sus warmer...lake champlain is... a teeny tiny lake compared tot he great lakes
keeps water from being evaporated .....puts a lid on evaporation
once the lake frozen..look out...FREEZING COLD weather
ah. I never knew that, but it makes a lot of sense. Maybe that's one reason that droughts are so rare here. It has been a relief to have a real winter this year, as opposed to the semi-tropical one we had last time. The ski areas have been celebrating and the entire economy depends on snow. I hope we aren't going into another weird one now and that this is only a temporary January thaw.
i'm all for spring happening now..but that just me be selfish..i HATE the cold
i want to live somewhere wherewinter means 70f
okay....so why Ontario?
my family..my husband...we grew up here.....our parents grew up here...and so on
We have been thinking lately about being someplace else for part of the winter. Seems the natural trend for those over 50 around here. Everyone seems to be moving to Ashville, NC(-:
my father lives 1/2 time up here...1/2 in braydenton ( sp?) florida
the warmth in Florida just doesn't make up for everything else about Florida for me.
well, I've got 66 left and going nowhere fast.
he's on gulf side norht of tampa...where there is a bazillion golf courses
Ok...I'll jump in here. I was born & raised in Asheville and have lived in Florida since 1980. I go back to visit my son, but cannot wait to leave Asheville and head back home.
i want to move overseas actually
I'm really interested in knowing more about why chiley?Trying to learn more about the Ashville area.
scarlet lives in asheville eva
where do you dream of being carlee?
cairo
Well, for starters, I'm used to having cultural opportunities here in Fl. We enjoy the Broadway series of plays, philharmonic concerts, etc. It's just a different lifestyle.
an 7 please
wow! I've spent quite a bit of time in Israel but only been in Egypt once, and that was the Sinai. Why Cairo?
being against breathing em
Hi
i don't know really... a feeling... I am friends with a few egyptians..i love their sense of humour...but its just a gut feeling
Interesting chiley, because one hears so much about asheville being a cultural mecca
hi hrein
Thanks - great clue
i need to go there...maybe not live...but I definitely need to vosit
yw
The middle east is about as different from New England as anything could be...in terms of nature but also expressive patterns, attitudes towards privacy, etc. A wonderful way to stretch oneseelf.
There are a lot of artists who live there. It's become quite well known as an art colony. But I don't think it can compare with the West Palm/Ft. Lauderdale area for performing arts.
i am very good friends with many of the muslim women here in my city... I know some of the language...
sounds like its time for a visit...and if you have friends with family there it will make it so much richer.
however, its certainly no 70 degrees all the time there. How are you with grueling dry heat?
no no no..i said I want winter of 70f
I LOVE 100F
sounds like you definitely need to get going!
okay, have to feed cat and stove. See you later
someday soon
byebye eva

This seems like a nice grid...although it's difficult to not notice the 8 letter word clues. I kep trying to do it on my own as I just started
Hi Uni, Karys, ardilla, ReadKnit. What a beautiful butterfly, ardolla. Is it a real species,?

It's no-one's fault Karys...I just get sucked in some times!

Well I was planning on attempting a listless grid....but it doesn't look like it'll happen!!
I am down to 72

that is good, i have 9 to go before i have 100 left

I WAS going out today with hubby to Ross on Wye 'til we saw the weather this morning !

hi, people who pray, could you please pray for me? my sleep troubles have been increasing and i'm going to ask my doctor to increase my dose - which is only necessary because i'd told her the wrong dose to begin with - less than i was on - can you just pray that she'll do that for me and i can get some good nights' sleep again?
Anyone got that first re5/18?
Hi Hurshy, I will certainly remember you in my prayers lets hope you can get some sleep soon:)
bfsog...you can see some of my work. I did the online resource guide for Babble.
Oh, poor hurshy. I do sympathise. I suffered insomnia for three years and had to resort to getting visitors to Spain to buy me over the counter sleeping tabs cos the doc wouldn't give me any. Now I've bought a white noise machine and am sleeping much better as it shushes you to sleep and calms the brain.
never thought of white noise machine
i have one of those, and LOVE it
i've tried that but it doesn't work that well for me. i use earplugs, plus prescription meds. but in the last couple months it's gotten worse - maybe bc of my accident? and i had one of my bad nightmares last night, which i haven't had in ages.
gm y'all & gl
have had insomia as well, but have been sleeping better since I returned from my visit to Massachusetts
i will certainly pray for you hurshy
thank you all.
Hydra, don't you mean re6/18?
Oh Hurshy that is so grim for you, I get the occasional night of not sleeping too good and I know how that feels you poor thing
It cost me £79 but is worth every penny. They are made in the States and mine is called a Sound Screen Sleep Mate dual speed.
i just read a study that showed that not getting good sleep can increase your risk of diabetes as much as putting on 30 pounds would!
Hi nancethefan
re6/18 is part of the eye
I mean re 5/10. It's my cold. Makes my brain fuzzy.
re and ta 4/4

How's the family? Recovered from the flu?
hi peri, {{{hydra}}} we are well and fully recovered, just have the neighbours from hell to deal with now...how have you been? i dont see you very often anymore!
I have only done 15 words and running out of ideas. This one is hard today
hello pink, night herin, hello johnny
Ive got a foul cold, lil, but I'll recover. I have been here, every day, but some days I've been lurking.
why is oreo not a word.... i think it is in the dictonary. ha ha
oh i am sorry to hear that hydra, i hope its not what i had, that was from outer space. I wish you a speedy recovery *hugs*
hi annieb and johnny !!
tough grid today, going for a walk, bbl
Thanks, lil. Hey Johnny, there are lots of words that I have always used, that aren't there. I get really annoyed.
bye peri1
Fireworks. Hooray! I can have lunch now. See y'all!
congrats, hydra!! enjoy lunch!
bye hydra and congrats!! enjoy lunch
got all of the R's!
could someone please clue the di8, been hunting it since flip!
di 8 ----di --beginning of public speech and what they speak into (first 3 letters) this a clue given earlier but I forgot who gave it
di8 = surname of designer Christian + French friend + consonant that sounds visual or watery.
Hi Jacula!
Thanks jac :-)
Hello. I've been lurking quietly just doing the grid.:)
y/w, katie.
ok, as long as Jac has confessed to lurking, I'm here too hi everyone
Hi, Jean.:)
hi EJ
hello to all the lurkers!
Jac :-)
nobody laugh, but on my way back from lunch i fell up some stairs, not down but up!
Hi All - Katie - picked up card
hy pinkie, annie
bfsog - easily done!
sounds reasonable to me, bf
Hi, mari. Did the Christmas sauce go down okay?
probably a lot less damaging too bf
Thanks mom :-) Had a clear out yesterday so will bring stuff up later :-) Less than 24 hours to go now :-)
these words are nutso.
It was superb Jacula - thanks again
Hello everyone.
hi to those who have just joined!
Mari - I ma4/6 it for the first time in ages this year and we agree it's great with yoghurt and on cheesecake, too.
hi scrabbler
Hi pink :-)
gm scrabbler
Hello Scrabbler!
Scrabbs! ((hug))
Katie I thought it would be a :-( not a :-)
((Babble buddies))
It hurts so much at the moment I can't wait to get them taken out!!
Is your appt today?
Scrabbler, your icon was a hot topic this morning!
Why, oh, why?
hello everyone
I changed it once, to match the daily theme, and I was told to bring back the green bunny.
Hi Betsy!
what happened to yuo Katiew?
hello, bbnaz
hello, bbnaz
good morning Babblers
where are you from bbnaz?
and Nono, hi
Hi Nanette
arizona
It's tomorrow scrabbler, Esprit, nothing serious I just need two teeth taken out which will stop the toothache :-)
what a lovelye state
Nono, I have really enjoyed your videos of late!
Hi, nono & bb and anyone else I've missed.
Hi johnny
ah, feel better!
Jac! Nice to see you.
ty bb
because another player had your icon, and some thought they should have changed it, and others thought you do not own the icon, so anyone can use it. To cut a long story short, the babbler left the chat room! check log between 12:30 and 1:30am
I watched the Beatrix Potter movie, "Miss Potter", on Saturday and loved it. I have posters of her drawings in Callie's bedroom.
hey scrabb
True, I do not own it at all, and sometimes Babblers do have the same icon. But there is only one of me.
Scrabbs - I watched that film just before Christmas. It's really nice. I watched an adaptation of Ballet Shoes last night (I'd recorded it over the holiday) and loved it.
Scrabbler, the next movie on my netflix list is Amazing Grace...look forward to seeing it
I still think of it, and William Wilberforce. You must watch the music video in the Special Features section too.
Will do, scrabbs
we have already had 1179 words in Babble this year.
Been back to check the chat, it seemed a bit harsh, although if i'd have done it I would have changed it when I realised.
I had to change my icon away from Fuggy as someone was phobic about rodents, didn't mind as we are one big happy family in chat.
It would not have bothered me, Kitt.
Angel, I am glad they were not all in one grid.
When I first came into Babbleland I had FM's icon. It was brought to my attention and I changed it..It was not a problem at all
Scrabbler is the green bunny and that's it!!!
It's funny how some people get upset and things that don't bother others :-)
babblers having the same icon doesn't bother me, however, it was a personal pic taken with my camera as someone pointed out, i'd be very annoyed.
Icons are apparently tremendously more important than I had ever thought before...just read back to that. Whew!
I am going to read the brouhaha...be back soon
*if it was* typo!
I'll read back later as doing so freezes my browser. I guess it's like turning up at a function (the icon thing) and finding someone wearing the same dress as you.
lol jacula, you hit the nail on the head!
Quick question - Lately when I refresh babble I get a "word list couldn't be loaded" error message. Has anyone else had this?
My junior high prom (ugh) 4 people had the same dress as me! We were stylish...
one of my friend when I was younger had a tatoo done, turned up at the pub and there was a girl with the same one on the same place on her shoulder. Put me off tatoos for life!!
Okay, I have 20 words left to find. Got work to do. BBL. Happy Babbling!
bye jac!
i haven't had that problem uni, with the word list
Neither had I until the other day...maybe it's just a surprise glitch
must do lunch bbs
I don't know if it is just me but i'm really finding it hard today. I can see the list being used very early :-)
mornin babblers!
I used the list at forty! I feel so weak...but I am not making progress even with list.
Morning Eva!
how is everyonet oday?
Bad at babble, good in life ;) Yourself?
I reviewed the chat and I don't think egbokmom left because of the icon discussion.
sleepy, but good. :)
I just noticed the J--it was hiding on me all this time.
I just read the chat about the green bunny...i agree with scrabbler..I think egbok just left not because of the icon. We need a copyright lawyer here. LOL
Or maybe we need to wait and see if the original icon holder would be upset (I read it more carefuly and it reminds me of another mega icon fight of recent weeks)
rut roh -- what did i miss this morning?
Most of our snow has melted during this January thaw. I was smart to cross-country ski on Friday. Now we have to wait for more snow.
fireworks !!
Uni, you make me feel so much better I'm on 39 and going for the list :-) Honestly I didn't know icons were such a sore subject for some people. I always use my own photos so at least I'm not going to upset anyone
Scooby or Astro, Eva? :)
YAY mari!
Go Mari :-) and you are in the grid if not a word :-)
Yahooo Mari! And your name is in the grid--I noted it earlier.
whichever works, uni. ;)
congrats mari!
Now you have an afternoon with children to look forward to ;-)
this grid is trench warfare for me
HUZZAH ,aro
*mari
I am struggling too, Betsy--it is a humbling experience.
even my fingers can't find the keys
Alright...class ahoy! Be back later, take care all
bb, join the club!
be uni!!
bye Uni :-)
Take good notes, Uni.
later, Uni!
Phantom = adroit
And "adorer"...damn, I can't find the AD words. *hint=help?*
and cypriot scrabbs
Haha, I would not have seen cypriot--too sophisticated for me.
ad + guilty or innocent vote givers
Ha, I typed in adplea....I am a moron.
thanks pink:-)
lol
thanks, pink!
lol scrabbler :-)
Is the 7 related?
ad6 is very similar, change ending
well there is one of the 8s
yes scrabbler
And I am a moron again--I found the ad6 first.
Those are new words for me.
I am going down the list and will go in reverse alphabetical order, just for fun. These little things give me such joy in life, haha/
I'm wedded to my routine, when I try and go from bottom to top I get too confused ;-)
i seem to do the grid faster when going backwards, strange!
a few pictures of my brand new baby niece up on my flickr account (and in my babble profile!)if anyone wants to take a peek. :)
is that baby's mum in pic
What is her name and when was she born?
She's lovely eva :-)
thats me in the picture...she was born friday morning, as of saturday, still to be named...dunno if theyve chosen a name yet, but they will have to soon, as theyre supposed to be going home today!
I have seen babies leave the newborn nursery with no name...some parents want more time to ponder names. Until the birth certificate has a name, they are "baby boy" or "baby girl"
from what i understand, i think here, they have to have a name for the birth cert + that has to be filled out before they leave...
She has a very cute little face!
and lots of dark hair!
man that di8 made me dizzy typing it.......
Congratulations, Aunt Eva! Happy Monday to all
gosh, i didn't name my daughter until she was well over a week old, and i was allowed to leave hospital
Oh, Betsy, make me get dizzy, please. Hi Aloy
knowing my brother, he may have just told her the hospital said that to hurry her along. ;)
Lol eva ;-)
fireworks for me.
ty5 anyone?
And the Y's and the ur7's and.....
Yahooo Angel!
woohooo congrats Angel!
something that is "usual"
yay, Angelsong!!!
is the ty5/18
ty***al
ur + lack of iron in blood ending
TY for ty5...looking for ty6 now--related?
congrats Angelsong :-)
Ty--i have the ur7s!
british spelling threw me off
wtg angel
ty6, a rather evil ruler?
thanks amelu
welcome!
Haha, I once called my boss, Richard Head, a ty6, and he still wants me to apologize, rather than ask why I chose that word.
Hi amelue and ty
*waves*
this grid SUCKS! worse then yesterday's
**waving back**
LOL scrabbler, i guess he'll have to hold his breathe for one of those!
hey, carlee
LOL he's lucky you only called him a ty**** instead of his shortened first name and last name
hi pink ~~~~~
I never finished yesterday, carlee, and hello, as I was not home all day and when I returned late there was no one to clue for me
hi all, back from my walk
i gave up
yes, this grid is worse than yesterday's
{{{PERI}}}
hi Carlee
Hi Periwinkle!
and I think I will already throw in towel for today
aww, carlee.. don't leave us to struggle
ok somebody HAS to appreciate my joke about scrabbler's boss
"Have tea, will babble" - how's everyone ?
wb peri
head buried in grid, Esprit.. missed your joke.. hi peri
I didn't say leave.....i'm just not entering words
oh too bad Scrabbler... I was on for quite a while... not a soul was talking or asking for clues, so I left. I had finished the grid yesterday morning.
didnt understand it
wb Peri and hi luc
LOL! There was a guy in our office we used to call Richard Cranium... of course, he's the one who started it...
do you know the nickname for "richard" pinkie?
no
I got it, Jean. TY. He brought it up at a mtg recently and said, "I am still waiting for an apology" and I just stared at him.
LOL... got your joke, carlee..
hi aloy
im guessing its d**k maybe EJ?
He hasn't bothered to wonder or ask, "Why would you think I am a ty6?"
yes add that to his last name of Head
doofus, methinks
Any help with the Y words?
well that storm that has pounded California arrived yesterday and this morning it is cold, windy and raining. quite nice actually
he must really grate on you, i'd be really offended if someone called me one
i have one that rhymes with the tweetie animal
yi4 that is
TY, Aloy--now i do recall seeing that here before. I need to store it into my Babble harddrive
YI4 sounds like where the grass grows only with the I vowel instead
He grates on everyone in his path, Lil.
yw, Scrabbler. there are a bunch of babblets in this grid
and the other sounds like the scots word for man
Ty for yi4
Oh, I got it on my first try, Betsy--TY
can't see the ad6 and ad7
nevermind then, putting my head back down into the grid
And with 110 remaining, I must get ready to take on the day. Bye everyone.
Peri - when you go to trial you are entitled to a **** of your peers
bye, Scrabbler.. have a marvy Monday!
a member of that **** is called a *****
Marvy, I like that.
so ad + singular member of that group
for the ad6 change the ending by leaving off final consonant and changing the vowel to the second vowel
second cuppa time, brb
thanks got the ad6 but not the ad7
ad + one of the twelve people who decide your fate
hello everyone again
bonjour Annie !
bonjour Luc!
63 down, 98 to go ... beginning to struggle...
hello Annie
Montreal, I went to the list at 39!

little pink = pinky? Hi pinkhat!
Hello all - 88 left for me and need the list
she's fine, dancing in front of the tv as per...
Right I'd better go and get on with some work. BBL to try and finish but might not be on for a couple of days after that, take care :-)

bye katie, take care
bye katie, take care!
bye, katie... hope to see you soon. Hello, ursh.. LOL, maybe you did, pinkhat.. (-:
this grid has been putting a crimp in my chat
not liking this grid at all
me neither...grr on this grid, hi all, clue for di8?
it's like pulling teeth ! - 1 word at a time...
Glad I'm not the only one having trouble!
it IS a tough grid Jayde...
can someone tell me what the 8's begin with? I already have the di 8/55, but would like to know where to look for the others
normally a grid of this size i would have completed, but this is slow and painful
di8 is all about the box you made in grade school that has a little scene in it
Guess I won't finish this one today
I have a cr8
rh8 is all about what politicians spout
ra8 cools your car
cr8, di8, me8, ra8 and rh8
hello gramma, can you clue cr 8---even caffeine isnt helping me
ty aloy I wasn't going in the right direction
thanks, pinkhatlill, Aloyisius :)
got RA8 and RH8...thx
build on the 6 before it...having to do with your head
craniate
soooo...soooo....sorry
lol ishults clue
that would be it folks lol
had that one ishult...
good clue, Ishult
1st sin bin of the year for me!!!
lol ya'll always give me a tickle, thanks ishult...sin is forgiven lol
hurrah! I have all the 8's now - I think that's probably going to be the only bit of satisfaction I get out of this grid!
8's done.....*putting chocolate in the penalty box for Ishult*
wtg, ylleria
..and Annie
can someone please help with the or6, stuck!
i have the cr8, di8, me8 and ra8 what am i missing
just got it, pinkhat... an alloy used to imitate gold. or + robotic ending and add a common vowel
dont have it, pink
67 left, bbl
thanks, Aloy!
RH8 nono

Good morning/afternoon all.
Hello Hazel!
morning (hazel)
hey there, Haz! Marvy Monday to you...
Hello Haz
Thank you! My house is clean, the laundry is clean, the dog is.... here and what should I do?
come out and play, Haz!
clean the dog !!!
Babble on, my friend!
The dog is self-cleaning so I think I'll just babble instead.
morning Haz, you've been busy today
babble away then hazel !
almost 7: am just enjoying my first coffee and trying to find a few words
I know, flosey, AND I've paid all the bills as well.
hello haz
wow, you're amazing Haz
Hello pink - the desk is clear(ish) so here I go!
i refuse to hit the list before reaching the halfway point...3 to go....
my excuse for coming straight to the computer - is - hubby still sleeping, don't want to wake him
excellent excuse flosey !
I must food shop and get going...bye, dear babblers
tks luc
bye annie
bye Annie, take care !
bye Annie, have a great day
bye, Annie.. see you next grid!
81 down, 80 to go - time for lickety's....and a break BBS
bye, montreal..
bye montreal!
bye bye luc
bye - will have breakfast and come back - cu l8ter
see you luc
who's luc?
luc is montreal
whew, fireworks.. before i get out of my pj's and go to the p.o. to return all the stuff the kids left, anyone need a clue?
his name is Lucien
WTG Aloy, good for you
ok, thanks flosey!
Congratulations Aloy!
well done aloy!!
Hello again. Haz - see my icon & bio.
ty, all. Lucien is a great name
Hello Jacula - looking now.
I love it! I yelled with laughter and Spangle is now barking in confusion.
LOL, good one, Jacula!
I thought you'd like it, Haz. (Sorry Spangle!)
She's settled down again - cat patrol at the front door.
Tallyho, and off I go... happy Babbling to all. See you next time.. (-:
bye aloy HAGD!!!
Tinkety-tonk, Aloy. (Can you detect the PG Wodehouse influence?)
My cat keeps using the bathroom window as a cat flap, which would be fine if he'd close it after him. *sighs* I don't really want the window wide open in this weather.
bye Aloy, see you at flip
'Bye, Aloy.
Cats don't seem to respond to training, do they? I saw an article in the paper the other day about a Newfoundland which did just about everything bar paint the lady's toenails.
Cats only respond to what it suits them to respond to.
Did you read the article about the Christmas disaster involving a whippet in today's Daily Mail, Haz? V. funny.
So it seems.
Yes, I did. Poor man. He must have a great sense of humour if he's prepared to laugh about it.
http://tinyurl.com/23xmog (Here's the article for others to read.)
Please clue the di8 - driving me crazy
he
I'm sure Aloy would appreciate it, she was so happy to find plural forms of the injury site recently.
The dog diary extract was good, too. I think it was in 'Weekend' magazine (D/Mail again).
fireworks, i said it yesterday, and i'll say it again, i am glad to see the back of this grid!!
Yes, I read it as well. I'm a sucker for dog stories.
I'm saving both stories to show to my Mum.
the di8 = a pana***** camera angle but starts with di instead
woohooo congrats pink!
i know i know - di8 - related to a 3-D model like kids make for school projects
Well done, pink.
di8 - di plus the ending on J M barry's Peter that makes it an all round view.
Morning everybody
hi moon, have you calmed down now lol
Or follow the 'New Look' creator with a vowel and the beginning of 'David's' creator.
morning moon
moon wasn't the one who needed calming....
Hello moon.
hurshy - you are here at a peculiar time?
Calming? What's been going on? What did I miss?
Yes. And I'm sorry if it upset you, Pink. But I Am still very disappointed.
morning all
Read the chat log yesterday.
Morning button
I am having trouble finding the at 7 and the at5 behind it...any clues
hi buttonman
Hi Nono
Good morning Buttonman and moonwoof.
yes haz, i haven't really got anything to do at work at the moment
ty all for the di8 took me a while but i got it
Hi, button.
another reason why it's too bad i'll never hear from the place i sent my resume to this weekend.
I only have an at7 and no 5 behind it.
If you got yourself over here, you could clean my dog. Look at Jacula's profile to see what I mean.
morning Haz, how are you?
Hi Jacula
good job ursh!
I'm well, Button. I have a clean house, the bills are paid, the grid is here.....
Well done on the di8 ursh.
Moon, according to the list there is a at 5/10 behind it....can you clue me for the at 7 please
But she has a Very Dirty Dog.
Could not ask for a better day Haz
at6 is what you're looking for.
I'm sorry button. I read at6, too...
I am sorry.....I am talking about the an 7 and the five behind it...sorry
At7 = against + what we breath
In the interests of accuracy, Spangle isn't THAT dirty.
That's an7 though.
breathe (GACK!)
thanks Haz, got it...what about the 5?
and the aN7 ... it is So a monday morning.
-P's home. I'd better look busy!;-o
You mean you haven't got the vacuum in the study with you?
I probably also meant that spangle is a Very Cute Dog.
coffee...brb
Hi, back to find more words
an5 - an plus the beginnings of the sort of snare that captures animals.
wb Peri!
Hello peri - nice to see you , in more ways than one!
bbl, happy babbling!
antra
:-)
Bye pink.
opps, sorry
Is that a picture of you, Peri?? You're gorgeous!
You got it, Button.
thanks
I'm also a little glad it's monday for most everyone else too lol
yes, moonwolf, it is me in my icon
and thanks *blushing*
moon, i just wish all that didn't happen this am. I have never seen a real argument on here before
I'm glad to see you got your new icon working =)
did I miss an argument?
who had a argument? i haven't got time to load whole chat log, can someone sum up?
if so I am glad
Me, too, Pink. That's why I was so upset. I've Never seen anybody treat anyone else like that. Especially another Pro member... {{sigh}}
moon can you see a bigger picture of me when you click on my icon
I did It was lovely Peri.
I didn't see the beginning of the argument. Basically a new babbler had an icon normally used by Scrabbler. She had been told about it, but didn't change. Another member made quite a fuss about it.
when I click on my icon I just get another small picture
:-)
Well, but you have the original, and I think that would be better =D
good luck all in grid *hugs to all*
{{{hugs pink}}}
has Scarlet been on yet this am, have not seen her in a few days
I haven't seen Scarlet today
I feel really bad. I get really defensive about what I percieve as people picking on others. I empathize too much and I didnt deal well.
hmm, that makes me feel better about my argument with mikey.
was that old argument going on again this morning? it dragged on a bit last night
That's one of the things I've adored about being here. Everyone that I've seen here has always been so supportive from what I've seen. And the newbie felt so bad she left the chat and the grid.
moon - I'll probably get shot down in flames (again) but it's not the first time that player has upset others.
No, not again, Flosey. Honest.
You argued with Mikey, hurshy? How could you?
I've Never seen them before, Haz. Is it something you really think they would do on purpose?
well, off to take a shower, and do some chores around here, bbl
slogging away here with 68 to find. Actually having read the icon brouhaha, it didn't seem that the party left due to the icon issue. sounded basically tired that's all.
Cya Peri!
mikey from berlin?
All I'm going to say is that I no longer chat or have the chat log open at certain times.
Then the timing was pretty convienient.
Afternoon, My two penneth worth - it wasn't that big of a deal and the new person will either return or not. It doesn't help to keep mentioning it as it perpetuates the um event.
Haz, I enjoy your chat......
Haz, best to get away and let those who 'must' get it out
Hello FMitch!
right mitch but do hope she comes back
moon - there have been and probably will be worse happenings in the log, we just have to live with them. Hello Haz, loved Jacs funny pic earlier.
Thank you bb.
You know, it is only a game and chat. It is not like folks are writing references here. If my nose got in a knot everytime someone said something contrary to me, well what a waste of babble time (and future help of clues!)
Wasn't it great? I'll not show it to Spangle in case it gives her id4 s.
and FIREWORKS!
anyway......can anyone help with the yi4 I'm sure its easy but it is driving me nuts
Haz, does Spangle like the water?
It's great that you can rise above it, bb.
Congratulations Nono!
WTG nono, good for you
Congrats Nono
Hmm. Well, I'm not likely to ever know all the details or ever understand everyone here. I was just so Very surprised. I love it here. And so far have only seen generally positive supportive people...
Congrats Nono!
kath it is like the place you grow grass but using the i instead
Spangle would LOVE the water if I allowed her to indulge in that sort of bathing.
Stick around, moon. We've had years of it.
lol, we have a pond but our lab won't swim but if she's chasing something, she'll run right through the creek
I really hope you mean years of support. =P
more support than anything else moon
WTG Mono
Moon, just like any large family, there are sometimes bruised feelings. Doesn't mean that you are not loved.
Yes, the positive outweighs the negative, but the negative has made me change my babbling habits.
HUZZAH Nono!
ty nono and congrats
moon - take your rose coloured specs off, we are just like any extended family here in babble. Sticks tongue out at Haz :)
ok I am off now... happy babbling everyone
The really screwed up part, to me... Is that I usually only get like this about really dear friends I've had for years. I could care LESS what anyone says about me... But the moment it feels like someone else. I get all GGRRR faced.
I like rose... It's making your icon all redish...
Wait. That is your icon.
I'll see that tongue and raise you a raspberry, FMitch.
roflmfao
Cya Nono!
So long as there is no cream Haz, raspberry away friend!
mmmm. raspberry ice cream
No, no cream.
I'm back again for final 6 words. I just gave P that whippet article to read and then stabbed the jacket potatoes ready to put in the oven. *grins evilly* He winced.
He winced at the article?
Hello Jacs, love your pic.
Or he winced at the thought of the subject of the article and then the potato stabbing?
Haz - I timed it so I did the stabbing as he reached the pertinent part of the article.
Hi FM.
And now he's sitting with legs crossed.
LOL
Yup, Haz, and a protective hand there.
Belt and braces.
So long as he isn't wearing your undies - but that is a whole nother story
Amusingly Haz, when it's all little like that it looks like my partners dog.
I was impressed that he could get into his wife's undies.
FM - ROFLOL
OK am going to pretend I didnt type that in the first place!
dagnabbit Jac, I missed the photo fun I guess
Good morning, need a clue for ad6/33, please?
bbnaz - photo's still there.
ad6 = to command solemnly
i had a brief spurt of work!
ooops. that's the 39.
Ok, Mark. You meant 6.39
the pup playing in the water?
and where the heck are your flickr fotos?
yes I meant the 6/39, going to look for it now thanks
Is that good Hursh? I hope you didnt strain yourself.
springer spaniel in muddy water, bb!
The 39 is the biggest clue, Marc
we raised springers for many years.........
I don't know what happened to my flickr pics, bb. I can't get babble to accept them back.
ty Moon
Jac, that dog really doesnt look self cleaning... I'd say self-wetting. Even tho that sounds even more dirty.
yw bill and good morning
moon - it was a play on something Haz said earlier about Spangle being self-cleaning.
does anyone have a clue for at6 please
not common flosey - the ending "al"
Well, now *I* have to go back and read the log.. ty Jac
at6 - not being the usual representation of something (normally with Mr Gore at the end)
Sorry can't help flosey, don't actually have any words in my list
thanks bb and haz
62 to go........
Ooooh, FMitch is being all sensible and work-orientated again. The discipline of it all.
The sort of discipline that gets her high marks in her essays!
i am getting really sick of monkeying the or6 :p
Umm well I wouldn't say that exactly. I should be work focused but babble side tracked me and Im playing around with some bracelet design ideas.
found it finally
That sounds good. We like to side track.
work is good. i wish i always had plenty of it and didn't have to resort to babble at work.
BB, that was my last word... It's from the o way down in the corner, and that makes the word much easier.
Resort to babble. What kind of talk is that?
good job BB!
blasphemy!
Is "shiny" a discipiline? If it is, I'm Very disciplined.
You'll get run out of town soon, hurshy, if you keep up that sort of talk.
i swear that i am slogging through thigh deep mud dragging along a grid called babble this date.
Wait. Hursh did you just say you get PAID to do this (which you would anyway) and that that's Bad??
At least you're doing it during the day, BB. It was Cold mud last night.
Haz, what is your verdict on todays letter jumble?
Sorry - was lost in morewords there. Let me think....
"Have more tea, will babble some more" - need clue for an7/28 please...
I quite like it as a grid, enough normal words to make you feel half human, enough strange ones to make the hunt interesting.
Well, back from first class of the year nad had the weirdest experience yet. Our December exams (a three hour killer which destroyed many trees as well as my wrist) were stolen, unmarked from his car two hours after the exam. We have no marks...and have to take a class vote to double the weight of the final, or use our marks from our three papers. This is...bizarre
The fact you have to think is probably statement enough! Hello monty.
Unfortunately, that exam was going to bring my marks up, as well! This is a tough class, and I could have used the boost.
hi FM, hazel Uni et al ...
Hello uniquity, and welcome back montreal.
What a situation Uni!
Morning Montie! And I'm sorry to hear Uni. Welcome to Monday.
Uniquity, that is really annoying, especially since you worked hard for the exam and during the exam.
Stolen papers ...or laziness Uni ???
Oh Haz, I am enjoying the slog tremendously. It makes the puzzle far more interesting than a dash.
Hi Luc
an7 = against + what we breathe
Such a cynic, montreal, and from one so young.
does anyone have a clue for co7 please?
Luc. How are you today?
I agree, bb, I like a dash at the beginning and a more sedate pace towards the end.
tx moon - and tx also (((hazel))) !!
The whippet story is actually pretty lovely, Haz, ty. I could see my Dad doing that.
I thought it was a joke at first...then my heart sank...then I started laughing cuz it is so ridiculous.
need clue for cr 8 word please
There is a language that is supposed to be universal it is called esper****. Co + to **** and rave + circle vowel
co7/32 - co, a four lettered diatribe, finish with a vowel.
how is that for confusing?
I liked that there werent 90 tr words....
actually BB, okay but i think i pulled a muscle in my groin doing all that shovelling on the 1st and 2nd of january...
mkg - think of your head........
extend the cr 6/21 brain word
cr8 = start of head bone + personal pronoun + 8
as long as it is a pulled muscle and not a hernia
thanks Haz
Have you ever considered a snowblower, Monty?
Hey, how come Haz gets a hug ... ponders to self must have been away from chat too long over the holidays.
flosey, you weren't thoroughly confused by my clue?
Wow, Montie... That would have been Very active shovelling. Need a date?
You're welcome, flosey.
**bear hugs FM**
i'm afraid BB...that it might be a hernia...
moon got the bone part, then i am lost. and ends in 8? i am not getting it. sorry. can you please try again?
I got a hug because I complimented montreal on his youth and vigour and everything.
well will cross my fingers and send babble mojo that it isn't one.
mkg - past tense of eat on the end
lol Uni
ok. cr+ 3rd vowel + consumed
sorry hard to type was under the sdesk switching fairy lights on.
ty got it.
sorry bb, missed it but thanks
why should you be penalised for staff error.!
moon how about the cy 7 words? have the cy 4.
whew, i was afeared that i had missed an opportunity to give one of my clear as mud clues
got it, thanks bb and Haz
am flatterred ((moon)) and yes, it was fairly active shovelling - t'was snowing dogs and buffaloes...
Bye for now, will be back for last 63
see ya stilts
okay avoidance in the chat log will not find those final 42
Cya Rumple
nm moon got both cy words
sounds a bit like how some people call my old home town
both cy words work off the 4. Good job M!
Uni, my wife bought me a snowblower 4-5 years ago ... but it is not very strong - the efforts to use it defeat the purpose...
ty moon.
time for work bye.
Sell it and get a better one, Montie?
Cya M. Have a good day
thinking along those lines moon...
later mkg
My grandfather had Excellent taste in outdoor toys. He has a snowblower that's Magic.
we had a little skiff of snow last night
It's really easy to push around (I'm a littler person) and I'm sure you know what I mean when I say, he lived in Duluth snow...
woot woot no more 8s!
I think that we're getting someones melted leftovers, here.
Congrats B!
yes moon, Duluth would get quite a bit of snow if my estimations are correct...
di 8 anyone?
Yup. Really stinky wet nasty stuff.
di8 = the little shoebox scenes you made in Grade school
think of those little tableaus you would make in school in a shoe box
moon very good!
And arent you supposed to be off to work??
Nice BB lol
^5
those DI8 clues don't do anything for me... sorry
di + circle vowel + not english measure but european
For you, Montie, the di8 is di + a pana***** camera lens
BB, your rain is doing really icky things to my hair. It's making it have a Day.
di8 = designer 'Christian's' surname + French friend + consonant that sounds either visual or watery.
*does excited dance*
not my rain, came from alaska via california
why hursh?
Do tell Hursh. Did you get an email?
Sorry for drifting in and out but phonecalls etc., have been going on.
Well, it's your state, so I'll blame Mitch
no, not that good moon - just excited that polls are showing obama with a big lead in NH. he's my guy.
i've liked him since the DNC four years ago
jac, dont know french friend.
got the DI8, thank you all !- still puzzled though by the pana***** clue...
sorry montie. Ever own an old camera?
mkg - di + circle vowel + measurement not in inches but in the other type of, i.e., cm, mm
montreal - a pan******* view is one seen from all angles? It's the same ending as on the di8.
One with like... film?
hurshy, you do know that my claim to fame is that I've seen Obama in the flesh?
ty, Haz. With you as an example I'm sure to get better at this.
hey, that's pretty good for not living on the same continent, haz!
i had a friend who once shared a cab with fred rogers...
oh okay hazel... it's the 2nd A in the panA clue that threw me off...
my niece was classmates and roommates with Jack Davenport
bbnaz, now i am more confused. have the last name of christian. then i am clueless...........
Isn't it? I stayed in the same hotel when he and his family were visiting Nairobi.
mkg - well try old designer Hardy ***es' surname. (For French friend part.)
wow, cool
that was a monday typo, montie, I apologize for making this grid any harder.
and Glenn Close stayed at my house for three days a long time ago
oooh, scary
boy i am so thick. who was a designer hardy? hmmmmm
she was only 19 at the time........
bbnaz - you didn't let her near the bunnies, the cooker or the bath, I hope??
do yall know any words??? ...plz
Do you get most of your clothes from Hardy, Jacula? or was Hartnell more your style?
so not famous
My grandmother caught her first exhusband in bed with ZaZa Gabor... That was a funny story.
do u know any words??
the bunnies ran free in the backyard, she couldn't catch them.
Very funny, Haz. ;-)
the word french friend contributes to the etymology of the word "***able" meaning friendly, good natured...
de
apologies accepted moon...after all, u asked me if I needed a date !! you can misclue me anytime you want after that ...lol...
I don't know, Jac, if they're good enough for the Queen....
Woohoo for karma!
afternoon babblers!
Yes, Haz, but her Maj is in her 80s.
finally got the di 8. ty all
Good afternoon EvaNadine.
Morning Eva
hi there Eva !!
Rising as I type the Queen, you understand.
hows everyone today?
Fireworks - hubby just up and found my last word
Hello, Eva.
flosey - I hate it when they do that!
Ooooh, you're holding a baby!
RH/6/21 an orator
i yam, i yam!!
you'll be rising for Charles in the future hazel...
clue for the he 7 anyone?
wtg flosey !!!
Has hubby survived? You can do things with potato stabbers.
Congrats flosey
lol haz...
lol, I'll let him make breakfast
And long may it be in the future, montreal. I'll stay glued to my seat when Camilla is around.
HUZZAHFlosey
*looking around* was that "potato stabbers" comment for me, haz?
will Camilla be called "Queen" when Chucky gets the throne ??
Congratulations on fireworks anyway, flosey. You did the work, you deserve the glory.
I have a theory about solitaire, Flosey. I have a deck of cards in my purse so that if I ever get lost I can start playing solitaire... Cause I KNow that when I get stuck someone will come by to point out a move, and I can ask em for directions.
i have sympathy for them, though i do think charles should abdicate in favor of william
No, Eva, potato stabbers relates to what flosey could do to inflict pain on her husband for getting the last word.
no they decided she can't be called queen, didn't they?
good one moon...
lol moon, that's for sure
ahhh...heh
abdication seems to be a non-word in the windsor vocab since uncle left for wallis
And congrats Flosey =)
She could be called Queen, says she won't be, but who knows?
don't forget Hazel, she would be OUR queen as well !!!
will they accept a divorced woman as queen?
and if queen mum was any example, queen should be around for a long time........
they were a generation caught in a transitional period, and it screwed them over
Eva - details on the new niece?
Why would he abdicate so soon? I mean look how long his mom is lasting... He's still got another 30 years to go...
The botched launching of and subsequent Norovirus outbreak on the Queen Victoria liner does not bode well for Camilla.
Need help with the ad's?
Exactly, bb, 101 when she died, the Queen has ages yet.
Hi everyone
Morning Becca and Phaeton.
i visited on saturday + shes just gorgeous! lots of nice dark hair (heres hoping she keeps it!) 8 pounds, 2 oz when born, but down to 7-11 when i saw her. no name as of saturday, but theyre due to go home today, so im betting theres a name now...
Have you heard her speaking, Jacula? (Camilla that is) She has a bass baritone voice.
hi becca
hi Becca !! - found names for those triplets yet ??
hi, I am eating an early lunch, grilled cheese made with Dubliner cheese, mmm
Camilla's a bass?? omg LOL
8lbs 2 is a good weight. Congratulations! Lots of shopping for dresses coming up?
*steals peris grilled cheese* any tomato soup??
Not yet Mont - and we have confirmation that there's only one now (see my new icon for details)
Haz - I heard her for the first time a couple of days ago (naming the ship) - I was surprised. Must be all the cigarettes! (Mind you, I smoke and my voice isn't THAT deep!)
I'm serious, moon. I had to look twice at the TV to make sure it was her and not a man talking.
Peri - great to see you after all this time :)
yes, shes the biggest yet of all their kids! (thankfully for her, this is the last!) lots of shopping to come, im sure. :)
:-)
Affirmative, Jacula, your voice ISN'T that deep.
She sounds like Tom Waits?? oh this is Choice!
Eva, congrats on your new niece
thanks peri. :)
peri in periwinkle blue. Nice to see you.
fantastic picture Becca ... even if infant is a bit camera-shy ! Congratulations !
they weren't the "do your duty and that's that" generation, but hadn't yet reached the "definitely marry for love" generation... or else he would have married her to begin with.
That's great, Eva - girls are fun to buy for.
thanks Jac
and poor diana wouldn't have had to suffer so.
yes, ive ejoyed shopping for the boys, but ill love shopping for a little lady as well. :)
g'morning all
Gorgeous new niece Eva!
Princess Margaret could have had a happier life, too.
Morning Upside
1 to go...an7....any clue...cant seem to even monkeytype it
morning umo
OUwachita - it's been in before, latin against, then what we breathe.
hi there umo !
Hi umo
I'm looking for my last word now, a c7. I should be safe as Other Half is asleep on the sofa.
an7 = against + what you breathe
against oxygen OU
aha...thanks
HUZZAH Ouwachita
Did i miss the clue for the ad6?
anyone need a clue?
c7, not a normal word, Jacula.

Good for you Jac. And once you're done you should go interrupt His fun =)
Has other half still got his legs crossed?
Cya Flosey. Have a good day!
co& + not walk but *** + here ** there
I've got the toxic c7s, btw.
later flosey
lol, bye now
jac clued one for you
Enjoy breakfast, flosey.
air is actually 78% nitrogen and 20% oxygen and a little other stuff... funny that we think of it as oxygen.
then you need the one that sounds like an herb from canada
make that not walk but *** a past tense
okay 17 to go for me
63 left -- "diving in** the grid" -- "SPLASH"
Thanks,bb. Got it. FIREWORKS!:-)
gogogo Montie!

hi everyone!
Congrats Jac!

Moon - do you have weather predicting hair like my daughter?
it is like spring here today, sun is out and temp is in the 60's, going to be warmer tomorrow!
Not right now, there isn't. It all freezes. And yes. It's temerature-mental
Well, I'd better go and make some chile con carne and salad to go with those jacket potatoes I stabbed earlier.
today T's are the most trouble
And I got to Arizona day before yesterday.

Cya Jac. Have a good day!
bbl
great
Cya Peri
later peri
It's just a variation on saying goodbye. Bertie Wooster uses it - if it's good enough for PG Wodehouse, it's good enough for me.
halfway through and haven't greyed a tile
And then I was going to offer to replace yours.
oh.. is that a british personality
Told ya, ruru. Twisty
Bertie Wooster was one half of the Jeeves and Wooster stories. He was basically very rich, very idle and very funny.
So like Benny Hill, but funny lol
alot of the british comedy shows are extremely hilarious
that darn volcano almost bit my nose off...again !!
NOTHING like Benny Hill! Stories set in 1930's English country houses/London clubs.
volcano>
?
et4 ruru...
Basically Bertie got into scrapes, Jeeves, his valet, got him out of them.
phanthom word "Crayon"
okay found the last word. am going to enter it now and will see rockets. that means time for video!
oh that!!!!
way to go Betsy !!!
Congratulations bb!
I mostly meant the rich and idle part Haz, no offense
^5 Naz
Congrats BB!
I don't have to be idle but I will accept the rich part
I think you have to be funny(er) first, Ruru, and then get paid for it...
lol
I'm working on it, too. If I figure it out, I'll let you know over Mimosa's
yay for wodehouse
Excellent fun again Nono (if you are lurking).
Does anybody ever see Snowy Owl?
Sorry... Is it a TV show or a movie...?
Three cheers, hurshy. He's a genius.
No bbnaz not seen Owl for quite a while now you mention it.
P G Wodehouse - author of hundreds of books. Some have been made into films/tv series, but nothing matches the original writing.
no she is a Welsh Lady who plays/ed babble
well if you do see her, say hello for me okay FM?
She did (Snowy Owl) make an appearance or two a while back but was very busy with grandchildren etc. She wanted to get back into the babble habit, but mustn't have found the time.
np will do.
It's been fun seeing the return of some of the babblers from the old days.
Yes, from the days when everything was black and white and we had to hand crank the computer.
Sorry I've just now gotten like 90 things that somehow all seem to need my attention right now and was distracted. I figured with the comedy talk Owl would have been one of those.
And then keep kicking the hamster cage?? uh-huh lol
I'm always curious to know what took them away from babble, Did they pay for a cure?
or did their hard drive crash?
BBlater. Everybody have a good day. {{no known cure, just remission}}
later moon !
Hope you feel better soon, Montie. {{{{{{{pwoof}}}}}}}}}}
tx ((moon)) - bye

thanks
I have just arrived!!Hi all..........
does anyone have clues for the two ur 7's please?
Ah well, a good dose of babbling will set your mind in order, TO, and I'm working on a set of exercises to get you limbered up.
can i get a clue for the or 6 please?
It's to be called the TOrturing of TO.
Hello caitlyn!
hahahahahaha i need to lose 10 lbs, that will make me a bit more nimble!
reverse 3rd and 4th letter of ur4 and keep going !
or6 - or plus what a cube has six of, but change the starting consonant for a vowel.
Haz, do you have the two ur 7's?
tx hazel !
just clued them button !
Yes, I do, Button, let me check them for you.
can i have a clue for the an 7/28 please , thanx
ty haz.
sandr an7 to be against what you breathe
Do you have ur4/5? If so, reverse the order of the last two vowels, then add most of plural rodent (Mickey style0 on the end. That gives ur7/40. That is the descriptive form of the condition ur7/36
an7 = against + what we breathe
thanx caitlyn
yw
okay off to do something less productive than babble. see you all later. Haz pet that Spangle dog for me.
Luc, you feel better!
geesh will you people learn to speak english? ; D
TO get more limber
Haz, that was great, thanks.
Bye bbnaz
bb is that a clue?
I will do, bb. It's about time to get her walking again (and me!)
caitlyn have a great day!
tx bb - take care !
Hello Uniquity - have you risen to the surface again?
no TO, it was a suggestion for your mind!
bye, bb! luc are you sick?

not sick TO but i pulled a muscle in my groin... and i hope it's only that...
27 left, break time
Hi Uni TO are you not talking to me today?
See you later, peri.
Bye peri

thanks MONT, I just got the 2 7's from your clue
Oh...missed Haz too. I only have 45 words but am trying to be studious and do my reading for tomorrow before I leave for my next class, as I have much babbling and cleaning to do tonight.
You fell again, TO? I am off to look up bursitus, brb
I'm still here. I'm still at the thinking stage of the walk.
bursitis IS painful ! - tx and get well TO...
bursitis IS painful ! - tx and get well TO...
Clue for the CO 7 please
Clue for the CO 7 please
yw Button - thought clue had gone to waste... again...
TO Im sorry you are not well ,hope you feel better soon
no, i had to get the two four's before I could work on the 7's
eek i was trying to train my wayward mind by working all one letter at a time. that was unsuccessful ty cait, i will
Oh TO...that sounds awful. I didn't get far into the treatment, but is this something that can go away or is permanent like arthritis?
CO7 = islam holy book + ** be or not ** be
co7 - Chico ran to the door to see if anyone had posted a clue.
co7 - co, plus a three letter past tense fast walk, then from's opposite.
Umm...did you mean to asterisk some words there, Haz?
bugger, i think you're losing it there TO to try such a thing
it can become permanent if not treated. i am still awaiting a call from the therapist to get scheduled
No, I thought I'd be adventurous and see if anyone noticed.
We all noticed Haz LOL
Okay, so I'll not do that again!
Then you best get to treating TO, I wish you a good recovery and NO MORE FALLING! :)
HAZ, thanks, great clues
hursh, i have been out of work for nearly three weeks. my brain needs retraining in discipline
Are you in work now TO?
If it's discipline you need, TO, talk to FMItch. She's not even doing the grid because of work!
Hi hurshy
You're welcome, buttonman.
yes at lunch. this grid is a little bugger, isn't it?
lol hazel...
A new job opening for me Haz?
LOL yes it is..it started ok but went down hill after
It looks like it, FMItch. I'm working on the exercise regime, you take over the discipline.
Hi FMitch!!
rant
OPPS, sorry
It's always nice to babble with my playmates. Hello Caitlyn!!
I often do, Buttonman. It helps.
mitch, stop it. you made button type in the chog
Im here to do first aide for those who need it after the discipline!!
That's right, we've got all angles covered.
the chog????
chat log
I can teach the recovering about Locke...or at least read to them :)
Oh you are so street.
LOL!!
TO - so what is the difference between a bunny and a playmate? I missed the end of that lesson the other day.
mitch let sleeping rabbits lie LOL
You're such a buzz-kill, TO.
what?????
Now that is spooky, my bestest cuddly toy from when I was tiny is a sleeping bunny. I tried to take a pic the other day but it didnt' come out very well.
And there I was hoping for enlightenment. (Buzz-kill - heard on Frasier, I assumed it meant spoilsport)
i can venture an answer to your question Fmitch ... but prefer to keep away from famous bunny-playmate wars...
*hums music from twilight zone*
I thought we were being 'street' in our language.
uh oh..... am i now infamous?
At least you're not sticking your fingers in your ears and la la la laing!
Excuse me...I dont think I can do street :)
Im doing that
No, not infamous at all.
*slinks off in shame*
In Ascot we do "Avenue" it's a bit posh round here don't you know.
Come on, caitlyn, you just need to get with it. We're all young, hip and trendy around here.
What kind of street...British, Canadian, American, G-Unit?
25 to go - time for a break - BBL - "happy babbling all" - "POOF"
TO - it was very funny.
bye luc
Or youngish and hippy ;)
hippy and lippy more like.
Bye Montreal.
Hippy and eelpouty?
later friends - "REAL POOF"
well i don't think so... i am not so very nive as you can now see
LOL
Bye monty
Yes, eelpouty of course!
whoops that is nice
LOL was sitting here trying to work out what ellpouty was and then the light came on!
*runs off to look it up*
You're perfectly nice, TO. We all reach our limits of endurance at some stage.
Oh for those in the UK Im on tv next Monday at 4.15 on deal or no deal..In the audience of course!!
wow cait! we only get the us version
eelpout was in the grid the other day, not sure whether it can be made eelpouty, but I'll have a stand-up row with enable if it says otherwise.
and tuesday!
We will have to all meet here at that time so you can point yourself out
How will we know you, caitlyn? Will you have your first aider's badge and cap on?
She will be wearing her Babble Tshirt?
Or wear a big 'I am Caitlyn' badge and try to catch the cameraman's eye?
omg i only have 64 i am panicking
You cant miss me Im the grey haired person with glasses sitting behind the contestant next to a very pretty woman (my daughter)
Caitlyn - smelling salts for TO - or is it the brown paper bag for panic attacks?
Brown paper bag and a whack with a mackerel
Did you wave or make a thumbs up sign or anything?
Paper bag for her panic attacks passing bag over..breathe slowly TO
lol get away from me with that fish
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Breathe in

G'd afternoon Babblers! Uni informs me that this grid exceeds my 9 words. i find that difficult to believe.....
lol hazel...
Hi Lori!!
Good afternoon LoriP
caitlyn, we had snow on Thursday/Friday. It lasted 2 hours before the rain got rid of it.

Hello Lori. A few more words to go?

HI Scarlet
Hi,there, MLF!!
hello everyone. any help for the bottom left O?
thnx, scarlet! I didn't have the 2nd one
Hey, deb! :-)
Yea for lilmonkey!
Hi red, how you?
Great, deb... and you?
the bottom left O is a bad spelling of the state next to Indiana
oh damn, wrong O, sorry
No, lil... that's the fish...
just have a cold, but i'm good!!
i go tthat one
You're a toughie, deb... great!
scarlet, are you saying that the bottom left corner O is a fish ???
i may get a Kitchen Aid Mixer with some Christmas money
No, the clue you gave was for the fish word, lil... LOL
I love mine, deb... it's a workhorse.
Buy the kitchen aid! I can't imagine life without it.
Lori-kins!! How be thee?
Oh, and this grid sucked the big one. Evil incarnate, IMO
think i should go for the 5 quart?
so the bottom O word is an or word?
Absolutely, deb.
Then you are done, Lori? I just started...
Scarlet my love! I be fine, now that I am free from this evil. How be thee?
this is a hard grid!! gotta get back to work for a while. bbl
I be fine dear one... I still have 61 to go, and it is starting to get really swampy... LOL
bye deb
Later, deb!
i will be back in a few..maybe lol
Deb, you'll be willing it to the grand kids. :-) I used to burn out at elats 1 mixer a year. Later!
Lori, I also have an Oster stand mixer that is going strong after 22 years!
Scarlet, the air was blue around me this afternoon. This grid lowered my IQ, a hit I couldn't afford.
LOL... not a chance dear... your I.Q. gets sharper with every triumph of this dagnabbity game...
Really Scarlet? Impressive. You couldn't take my KA from me for any amount of money. It saved my life.
My KA and the Oster do triple duty about four times a year, and I would be lost without them...
My past record was 3 hand hel mixers in 1 year.
The only thing I have not caved into doing with the KA is using the kneading hooks... I still do it the old-fashioned way: two hands and a lot of oomph!
* held
Wow... now THAT is impressive! LOL
Oh Scarlet. It kneads bread, and assorted dough so beautifully.
lilmonkey, I just read your post: I don't have that lower O yet... Okay, Lor... I will cross over to the dark side and use for my breads...
use *it*
oh thanks scarlet, i am still monkeying that O
The year I was pregnant with #4, 3 hand held mixers. Blew my mind. Honestly, try it, you will be pleasantly surprised.
The balloon whip is a gem of a creature, though!
I am making a wild guess here and ASSUME that you are not talking about pregnancy nor having my mind blown... LOL
Hi lil! oh + d**l-up sucks compared to high speed?
No, Lor... that's not it
LOL Scarlet. ***blush***
*giggling maniacally*
oi + ***l up sucks compared to high speed?

<<<Puts on flame-retardant outerwear>>>
***luckily, as a Mom of 4, I wear poo protection at all times***
Wait until the grands start comin' Lor... NOTHING will save you then...
co 4 rhymes with the little boat that were used on Schooners for fishing
poo protection not strong enuf for monkey poo
ci 4 is a spanish good bye

Only the Great Gate-Keeper is allowed access, Lor... and I'm thinking he looks a great deal like Dante...
Am I being particularly dense today, or is this grid a bit of a real challenge?
Okay, reality time. My laughter quota has been exceeded. Time for homework, supper, blah, blah, blah.
a real challenge for sure
Thank you, deb!
thanks for the help Lori
This grid was evil! I told ya' so!
Later Lori, and thank you for the laughter!!

Y'all enjoy your day now, catch you when the time is right. Take care all!
:-) :-)
***I've never DIRECTLY called you evil... :)***
OH, Yeah....
Have a good one everybody. :-) Later!
Now is the time for me to go into my spectacularly organized kitchen and make turkey/rice soup... see you all later!
hi and good afternoon. Any clues for the at?
Bye Red!!
hi Bichon
hi deb and everyone else.
bichon, how do you keep your dogs eyes and face from turning brown?
that picture is not actually my bichon, but a show dog. The show dog people and groomers have many tricks, none of which I think is fair to my own pet. I love him the way he is.
bichon at6/30 at + sometime vowel + short piece of art
my daughter has a white bichon. she bought something that is sprinkled on her food in a powder form
however it runs about 60 dollars a month
so she is seeking other methods of keeping her white
I know there are items you can use, but I'm just not into cosmetics, for myself or pet. I do take him to the groomer, but that's to keep his coat from getting all matted.
dampy
sorry
what color is your dog is u dont mind my questions
all of mine have been white with no other coloring.
a clue for di8 please
what's a short piece of art?
Hey
we live in the midwest where there is snow on the ground. Her dog loves the cold weather and prefers staying outside
aryn, think of the art projects you'd do in school with a scene in a shoebox, then make it an adjective
di8/55 di + pa****** picture (wide angle) Ok abr piece of art
i didn't do that art project:)
bichons, despite their appearance, are very sturdy dogs. Ours have always loved ripping through the woods and we've taken them snow shoeing
Even in the summer, she lies on the cold air register.........
ty brookie and frances
mine have been partial to lying under the toilet tank in hot weather
ty brookie & frances as well :)
You're welcome Aryn
yvw!
riad
lol, any chance of the sweat of the tank dropping on them?
oops, sorry!
yes, very clever are dogs
yes they are............
I"m missing about 60 million ra words

thanks Kateq, that did it
hello all! guten tag inge!
I am hitting the list -- got down to 77 words last night (thanks for the an7)...
AI 5 please?
stid, to "hit the list" you need to ai* your arrow... then past tense it
thanks LadyN... *sigh* figured it was fishy!
how about that DI 8? or the CO 7...
hehe... it didn't come easily to me, either (I had to hit the list for that one)
di8 - an art scene schoolkids make in a shoebox, then make it an adjective
thanks Brookie! :-D
I don't have the co7 though...
yvw
down to 50!
hi all. 79 here (and not a very friendly grid,, is it?)

hello merk, hello marc
hey merk! how's by you?
I have greyed the M tile!
-8 degrees F
*shiver* COLD!!!! I thought it was nippy at 34 outside!
We are dressed for it. I'm not going to have time to finish the grid. I began it last night, but this is an odd duck ... takes me longer and I don't have the time.
yes, this is a tough grid. I am going to give myself ten more minutes, then go do other stuff for a bit... it's cold, but at least it's sunny!
stid, knowing you... you could finish in ten minutes
Same here, a few more minutes then off for a swim. Too cold to walk outside here for my exercise.
not with 35 to go on a twisty grid like this dorens... but thanks for the ego boost!
Thank goodness this place has a pool.
um, pool? in the ice?
How can there be so many me words from down in that odd corner?
i've got the first three rows knocked off now
five/six of the ME words have the same root, two others are related to each otehr, the first ME word is a lovely ale-like beverage made of honey...

yay, robo!
i don't know how many times i tried pyro, too Merk
wtg
can't tell you how many times I tried that, merk
robo, how about either of the ur7's please?
I think enable dictionary is wrong on that one. A person who sets fires is a pyro.
ur+a blood disorder (minus the n in the middle)
and the associated adj.
isn't pyro a greek prefix for fire?
pyromaniac
also abbreviation for pyromaniac
thanks robo... i'll work on that one! (Brain working slowly today.)
got it, robo... what makes it worse is that I HAVE that disorder and still couldn't think of it right away!
haha, whoops
cy7, either one?
poison brookie?
do they build on cy4?
ty6 please?
yes... cy4 + consumed, then change the vowel for different ending
ty6 - an evil ruler
ty 6 is a mean ruler
ty 6 = a fearsome leader
thanks, fish worthy there I think
and with that i've got to run
good luck all
thanks for the clues!

Good night folks

hi (or goodbye?) bill
Just read your profile, Kris. The very best to you and this little precious one.
thanks nurse, we are all doing just great now (he is even taking a nap today for mom-who should be working instead of babbling) :)
You need a break, also, plus it is fun to meet new people on this babble site.
I need two more please---oi5/12 and ar5/12.

hasta, betty
bye betty...glad you got it
bye, Betty.
does anyone know if the he7 is related to the he4 above it?
kristin, they're not related
he 7 not related to he 4. I tried it so many ways but to no avail\
hmm...okay...anyone have a glue for the he7 then? :)
he + jeweled headpiece worn by princess, but switch the middle vowels
ty, brookie
thanks! I would have never gotten that without a clue...so glad I asked and you obliged!
yvw
okay, back again for a bit. {{{{{kristin}}}}} so glad to see you again! how art thou and thine? *grin*
thanks for the he 7...
howdy, stid!
that brings me down to lucky #13!
we all help each other out... I can't get through the grid without everyone's help!
yw stid
hello stid. We are just fine...trying to stay warm as of late and burning through our wood pile like nobody's business :) And you? staying busy I would guess?
hey seain! you're here early!
hi all, been lurking, almost half way, hate vowels!!
i work days now, and it's slow right now at work :)
staying busy, staying warm... yep. The old highway to the town Mother teaches in was icy this morning. Got there just fine, but there were at least three accidents I passed on the way down!
oh! that's a bit of a transition -- forgot you had told us you would do that. :-D
hey kate!
what do you do, dc, for a living?
hey kth...here here on the vowels (which I first typed as bowels and was glad I proofread)
it's in the mid-60sF here today. will be tomorrow too. then back to frezzing for the rest of the week
lmao
Hi all again....clue please for at6/30 please?
i work on the ACE Helpdesk for US Customs, brookie
interesting!
I hope you're still liking your volunteering stid
blech. I am glad our weather tends to not fluctuate... (though I wouldn't mind a 60-degree day on thursday when I am home)
I love it kristin, considering my options for employment or education next year...
glad I can be of service kate (if only weight loss were that simple yes?)
the fluctuating temps in the winter are normal here, it's why most are sick through a lot of the winter, i think. it rarely stays cold enough to kill things
tell me about it lol
okay, these UR 7s are killing me! please help if they aren't fishy...
i don't have at6 yet, flask, but i'm looking
also the YA is impossible... *kvetch mode engaged*
yes stid, most districts are always looking for subs if nothing else...I am sure you would be fantastic. I think I will end up subbing once Zach is a bit bigger
thanks DC
hi flask! missed your entrance!
I said hi to you all!
I need a credential first... but could easily sub as a para too (more fun, if less pay) while I go back to school.
woot!!!! TEN to go!
what's this subbing all about then?
gotta go now and get some Ben & Jerry's, will be back later for my last 9....
does anyone else have a clue for at6????
later, brookie
teaching, kate. I assist in Mother's classroom three days a week (volunteer)
a + what your hands do on a computer keyboard, but replace the "e" at the end with an adjective suffix
later brookie -- thanks for the help
cy'all later!
Oh I see, that sounds interesting
had the middle wrong, ty, brookie
lots of options then stid! I too would need to be credentialed to sub as the lead as my degree is in social work...but still it is nice that there are options for all.
I CANNOT believe it took me so long to see the last RI 4 and its 6....
bye brookie...thanks for the help
are the mi words fishy? I have none.
so, what's with the OI word? *rubs eyes in frustration*
kristin, think small. very small for the first two...
oi+spanish "day"
oi + spanish day, or the begining of the late princees of Englangd
then mi + princess name **ana for the 4/6
it's not a word stid it's a random string of letters!
thanks seain!
LOL like so much of life, kate, there is meaning only to those who already know...
thanks stid
OR 6 please?
lol I suppose that's true
can someone clue the he7 again, something about a princess crown
he + princess crown, swapping vowels
he + crown-like head adornment but reverse the vowels
LOL seain wins the clue race!
TY! got it, dcseain
and stid, TY too
I'd like that OR 6 as well if anyone's got it...
down to five (like pulling teeth! -- with a pair of tweezers...)
try pliers, stid
clue for the first an5/10?

LOL stid
woot! go kate! go stid!
thanks stid,,always thos hemorr u know whats
ju7 - the ju7 tradition, from the Celts ;) swap 1st cons and vowel
aroid

that would be it, nana! LOL
i typed it in the clue box
good clue seain!
damn, i am sorry
hahaha nanachichi, naughty naughty
no worries nana!
first clue asked adn i screwed it up
your right lil monkey,,,i am so sorry
sometimes the cursor doesn't move as fast as your fingers, I find nana. No problem. Join me in the penalty box for a while. I'll share my fresh pot of tea!
i don't understnd the ju7 clue, i am not celtic
i am just a monkey with a small brain
starts like the 12 at a trial, ends like when the dinosaurs lived
monkey: first three letters of the other JU words, + 1st person pronoun + ***K CHeney, US vice president
clue for at6?
ju + "to be done with" + frozen water - the e
um, seain, according to the raptor-wanna-be sitting just over my shoulder, he lives NOW! *fierce parakeet look*
thank you! Stid ... Jars.... dc
so my last four words, which is my clueless conundrum, are the YA, the OR 6 and the two UR 7s... (please please) *grovels for clues*
AT 6: A + t**o (mispelling in print) + first two letters of frozen water
The URs are off by one letter from each other...I'm trying to think of clues...
oh piffle, the sun is going behind the clouds. *sad look*
I thought they might be Jars... thanks
the 2 urs are similar-they both use the word (& variants) for lack of iron in the blood (minus the N)
thanks stid
I too need the ya :)
ur7s: ur + the iron poor blood disease (2nd ur 7 ends with frozen water minus the e)
stid, go out in the ya5 - insert another vowel in it
thanks seain! couldn't monkey that for bananas!
thanks monkey *thinking*
thanks dc
da5/14?
i have one cy7, is the other one similar?
diff vowel, phae
got the one... looking looking
Yes...one letter off.
different vowel, phaeton
yep...change the 2nd to last vowel phaeton
stid, forgot to tell you that you must drop the single hump consonant from the iron-poor blood disease
thanks for the ur clues
ty, monkey
down to ONE!!!! {{{monkey}}} great clues!
my last one is still the OR 6...
da5,14 = da + nickname for Richard
thanks dc
stid, is it the or6,21?
FOUND ITTT!!!!! FIREWORDS!!!!!
ty lilmonkey
I am SO DONE!!!!!
YAY STID YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE
whooot, stidmama!!! ... however, I still need the or6/21
yey stid!
emir
well done stid!
and a lot more
WTG, Stidmama!*!*
congrats, stid :D !
or6,21 = o + hemo**** + 2nd vowel
OR 6/21 is stoopid...
oops correction
cool video today!
or6,21 = o + hemor**** + 2nd vowel
that was right, monkey!
that would be a painful butt sore
I need babble expert... i have 2 more words here than I have on lickety's clues... happens all the time
you know about the bulk grab, right LadyN?
yes... oh.. yeah, I guess I could do that
mari are you there?
LOL I know -- some days when things aren't working right and I babble from Tom's computer I have to do that!
brb
that OR is fishworthy

YAY Kristin!
wtg kristin :-)

mari cooee :-)
hi, katie :)
hi dc :-)
Hello
i hated the grid today so gave up at lunchtime, just popped in to see if mari was here
Katie i think i have stabbed this grid 3 times allready
lol herin, i just couldn't be bothered
Its a bit like that but i got really bored so i thought id give it a wack
whew... down to 3 now...
Hi Natts how are you?
extremely tired
thanks for asking
Blerk i hate being tired. My kitty and someone from my b.fs work woke me up
right i'm signing off, might not be on tomorrow so see you all wednesday :-)
puppy's kept us up... his cone is too big for him to fit in the kennel so he's been sleeping (or not) in our room... haven't had more than 2 hours at a stretch for the last 3 nights
Oh poor baby
what happened to your puppy? neutering
Poor you and poor puppy. Why doesn't dog sleep on floor in lounge?
help with the first ra4/4?
I ahve a kitty keeping my feet warm
in 5/10, first one
yes, neutering.. and unbeknownst to us ... the first night he got "past" the cone and licked himself to problems
in5/10..to bury
Is he healing?
because first night he was in his kennel
ty phaeton
seems better now, but, he still occasionally "attacks" (or tries to lick) through the cone
yw
he's on sedatives, 2 painkillers, and antibiotics... it's been a rough 4 days
poor mite
yes, I fully understand de-coning. Both dogs have done it.
mite? he's 86 lbs!!!
and 8 months old... he'll top 100 lbs for sure
Well poor thing
we've been taking turns, but I get him mostly at night
my 18-y-o daughter, the one who doesn't work and has no high school diploma, took him from 6am to 11am today
Natts get her to do it
my 16-y-o daughter, who does have a job and is going to school, took him from 3;30 til now
...and offered to take him overnight, since I haven't slept more than 2 hours at a time since thursday
Oh dear. Big lug of a dog
aha, so it's cr's that eluded me!
truly. But if you met him, you'd be infatuated, as everyone is.... he really is a sweetheart
I love those dogs i really do. Great big white ball of fluff
indeed!
big and cuddly a bear as a dog
strangers comment on how good a temperament he has... and he does... he just keeps us awake because we don't want him complicating the surgery
How long for the cone?
anyone have a nice juicy cr clue?
I came back from swimming and of all surprises, I finished the grid. Fireworks!
another 6 days, probably..
wtg merk!
I have 2 left... both URs
hurshy, which one?
Erk Nats on that one
Hi Merk
oh, are they not related? in that case, the 8 please.
hurshy, add low-iron disease, less hump, noun and adj
ah, skulls
Hi Herin
done!!!
congrats LadyNatts
ty merk
Kitties are very usefull for keeping feet warm
co7? Anyone, please?
Yah NAtts

ty herin :)
there are 161 words
ack -- I think my brain just exploded
co + **** and rave + vowel
co7 is co + **** and rave + vowel
brain explosion? is that a good thing or a bad thing, atodd?
I am seriously thinking about going back to bed
ty, hursh and natts
well -- I guess it all depends on how you look at it -- lol
yw dcseain
Perhaps I'll see you after the switch.
if you go back to bed, who will I talk to?
bye
Ok ill stay
bye merk
If i fall asleep its your fault
I'll take the blame. I can handle it
going cross eyed, need to sleep but need help with my last 3 first. at6/30 please?
I'm more likely to fall asleep, though, given my weekend.
Hi Crisy
a + ty5
hi herin
at6/30 is a+ty5/18
thank you - last 2 are ta5/10 (second one) and ta6/18 following it
sounds like we're all tired at the moment
ta5/10 - too much in spanish/italian - it's music term. think lone ranger
I think that i need food
thanks dc
ta5/10 is "much" in another language... t+picnic pest + 4th vowel
dc how many languages do you know?
a few, bichon
your very modest dc
I think more than a few
*you're
ta6 rhymes with the words you'd say while meditating
ty, natts :)
I can't believe that once again the bloody cat woke me up
you're welcome
i'm taking Arabic 101 at the community college this spring. class starts next week. :D I can hardly wait.

wtg chrissie!!
congrats, chrissie!
Eww Nats. I am suprised that they didn't do a better job
yah Chrissie
thanks all, goodnight, see you tomorrow
Night Chrissie
learning arabic would really be a challenge. It's spoken really fast, fster than Hebrew
they didnt do a bad job... we did the poor dog an injury by not watching him the first night... when he got past the cone that was too small and licked himself into complications
g'night chrissie!
pretty icon, herin!
Thanks DC that is one of my photos i took at the Dalesford convent.
i'm hoping the tad of hebrew i know will help.
Don't blame your self Natts dogs do these things
there's lotsw of similarities. I think it's supposed to be like Spanish and Portuguese
that's my understanding too, bichon. i'm intimidated by the writing system, but i figure i learned to write chinese, how hard can that alphabet be.
They do... I've never had a more traumatic neuter, though... I've had 3 dogs and 5 cats go through it.
Well he does have a big boof head
lol... yep!
I agree DC. Hebrew isn't difficult to read if they have the system of voweols [nikudot] in ther. Otherwise it's a mystery to me.
I would love a big dog but we are cat people
an 7 clue, please!
we are cat people too.... have 5
need a clue for cy7/40, please?
hebrew began to make more sense after i studied some Tegrinya, and ethiopic language derived from hebrew.
there are two cy7/40's marc
hy, marc, extend the colour, then change the vowel toward the end.
yawn
Actually, as a language, Hebrew is easy. It only has the continuous tense and all the words come from 3-letter roots. It's the reading that I found hard.
an7 = an4/4 + what we breathe
that makes sense
dc I got one cy7 but the other one is eluding me?
thanks, lady. seen that before. should have known![i
ty, natts, i was looking from the wrong A
yw :)
change one for me, or vice versa, marc
Got it thanks, dc

Hi Monkey
mkg, it's actually o + aste**** + vowel... i typed it wrong
hi everyone!!!! Hi Herin!
this grid sucks!
hi lil!
hi Brookie!
one last clue needed, re6,18, the first one please
Monkey yes it does. Its a toss up between doing grid for fun or finishing it as its bugginf me
yes, lil, i have not been happy with this grid either!
i have a re6,18 , it has to do with part of your eye
i have that one, lil, it's the one before it that's eluding me
re6 = re + What Barry Bonds' records are (*****ed) - the last t.
thanks though, lil
OK, well I don't have it either :)
just got it! Good clue, Jars :)
thanks Jars, but i'm not as swift as lil monkey... not understanding the Barry Bonds reference... any other hints? sorry!
i give up on or 6. i am so totally confused by clues. i have rick, i have rich, neither in gird, i have robot, i have hemorahaging and i dont know what to do with any of it! i am laughing at myself and h ow dumb i am today!
re + s****ed glass window in a church
re6 = re + "to acquire" - at
or 6 spanish for gold + the ***s of March
yeah, got it, thanks for the clues, jars and lil!
dear mkg: here is a clue for the or6, guaranteed to succeed: or + 4th vowel + 3rd vowel + 3rd letter of the alphabet + 2nd vowel
dammit
mkg it is not hemorahaging, its what preparation h is for
i made a mistake, it's the 4ths letter of the alphabet
did you get it mkg?
fireworks! thanks to everyone for the clues!
YAY YIPPEE BROOKIE
may tomorrow's puzzle be a little kinder to us all...
congrats, Brookie!!!
ty finally got it. whew..................
yay mkg!
well long way off and time to go dancing...........
bye all and good luck.
if it makes you feel better, mkg, it took me about 2 hours before I noticed the last in5,10 in the grid... probably the easiest word to see!
cya mkg!
hahahahaha Brookie! I just saw that in5, thanks to you! Now I feel so DUH
brb
does anyone know why my screen scrolls down every time I enter the letter "y' in the word screen ?

cya later praise :)
and i am back for more torture
Is anyone here?
I just got here, Herin
Same here - more masochism
I had to hace a shower as i was falling asleep
I
so... who else is watching american gladiators?? :) :)
I'm eating leftover candy canes, drinking Diet Dr. Pepper, and playing Babble. What a combo.
I'm here for a few more minutes.
I am watching Underworld Evolution. I want Dr Pepper
Not me, that's for sure, Hursh.
Hi Doxy - you finished?
i'm so thrilled they brought back the gladiators, such a fun show
I'm here. I was reading back on yesterday's log and am now trying to find Sprite's heart icon for her.
My ex-husband was hurrying home to see it when he brought our daughter home.
i mean i think it's so fabulous that they took the whole gladiatorial competitive idea and made it non-lethal and padded and fun :)
Hursh - I used to like Gladiators. Eunice Cathcart was just the very best competitor.
Is something wrong with Sprite? Hope not.
That as the UK version though... I think.
Krista - No. When her pc crashed she lost her icons, including her trademark heart one.
rotaty is not a word, in case you wondered
Aw, glad that's all it is, Jac. Nice of you to look for it.
LOL, krista. Can't say I tried that one though I did try adding a 'y' to other words.
That and i have a goldfish brain
what's british trash talk? oh, i say, i am planning to boil your pudding
Is that the heart with the barb wire that sprite had?
BTW, I finished hours ago if anyone needs clues. If I'm slow in replying it's 'cos I'm off looking for that icon.
What is Underworld Evolution, Herin?
Lol, Hurshy!
Vampires vrs Werewolfs
British trash talk?
The worse thing is im trying to watch it but my brain is all a twitter
You know, how they'd talk to each other on "British Gladiator"
have 42 left. will be back later to finish.
I'd be happy with 42, Doxy. :) See you later.
Krista my b.f and i saw Underworld together as our first date. Talk about perfect pair as we are both geeky role players
This is not one I'll be finishing.
Aw, so that is your special movie.
last me5 ???
have the others, but not that one, sorry
cr6 or cr8 anyone?
last me5 = same 4 first letters as one before it then add personal pronoun vowel for end.
cr6 and 8 have to do with the skull.
just got the last me5, first 3 letters of other me words, plus 3rd vowel twice
BBS - text from my daughter just arrived.
ok, Jac
Hi Krista, how goes it?
Krista yes it is (shhhh)
Aw, bless her little cotton socks! The text said, 'How long do I boil an egg for if I want it hard-boiled? xxx'
Doing well! And you, Bubba Bubba Bo Bubba Banana Fana Fo Fubba?
ty, jacula
Still alive and kicking
Wow, young people text their Moms for those questions now. I feel so old.
i am stuck on the first two mi words... anyone have those ???
I guess that's the most important thing, Bubba. Well enough to crawl to the keyboard = good day. Are you finished?
Jac tell her 3min or till the water boils dry and the egg explodes if you like he he he
LOL herin!
busy day, so 5 left
Jacula, your daughter sounds like me... I'm always asking my Dad or Mom questions like that
1 left here
but I'm stuck
Get to work, Bubba. Monkey..I only have the last two mi's so far, sorry again.
Or tell her to look it up on the net :D
What good am I.
first two MI words are "small"
mi***scope
Herin - don't be horrible!;-) I told her 6 mins and then put the cooked in in cold water to avoid getting a grey rim around the yolk.
Hi Bubba and Nrkii
AH ty
and then change the last vowel for the mi5
Hi Herin
help with DI 8 please?
hey THANKS nrkii
I hate the gray stuff..I always overcook..I'll use that tip, Jacula!
Nice to see your Nellie Olsen, nrkii. :)
hi herinfernallady
di8 is di + 4th vowel + a panor**** view
Krista - you need to hange the cold water 3 times, the first 2 times rapidly and then leave it in the 3rd lot until cold.
*change
YAY - that's fireworks -- thanks monkey!!!
YAY YIPPEE NRKII !!!!
Krista, I just can't give Nellie up
Well done, nrk.
Jac my mum exploded an egg once
tough grid today
ok! hope that makes them easier to peel, too. I'm hit or miss with the eggs. I can cook a mean omelette, though.
Krista, I always roll them before I peel them -- makes it very easy, if they're cooked right
Congrats, nrkii. Good for anyne who finishes this one!
congrats, nrkii
Krista - the peeling, easy or not, is more about the eggs you buy and how thick the shells are. Factory eggs have thin shells and don't usually peel well. Proper free-range eggs are easier to peel and are the kinder option anyway.
hi, jac
i have another poll
It's that cooked right part that gets me. :) Rolling - good tip.
Krista - do you add water of milk to your eggs for omelettes?
Hi, pam.
A poll, hursh? Go ahead.
would you rather be you than anybody else?
Krista - that was water or milk, not of milk. LOL
ooh, Jacula, I add milk for sure!
Just a tiny bit of water, Jac. I used to use milk, but I like the end result of the water better. Fluffier.
Hurshy, hands down YES
interesting... must try water one of these days
Hursh - I'm used to being me, I know me pretty well, so, on balance, I think I'd be me.
I never heard of that until my cousin's wife told me - it works.
Krista - I agree - one tiny splash of water per egg.
water or milk to boil eggs in ???
meanwhile, I made meatloaf yesterday that called for cream or sweet milk in the recipe -- it was odd, but turned out fabulous
Eeesh - having never been anyone else, I guess I'd stick with me. Not that I'm so great, but I'd rather deal with the familiar.
no pam, for omelettes (but I read it that way at first too!)
The same applies to milk (one tiny splash per egg) when making scrambled eggs. Too much liquid makes sloppy scrambed, Yuck!
Oh, omelettes... I have been told water works better... cold water. But, I have never read the ON food and cooking or science in the kichen books
hi, jac
i like my scrambled eggs slightly sloppy and wet
oh, said that already...
yes, nrkii, that's an odd one! (the meatloaf)
okay, have to run... 2 big packages were waiting on my doorstep when I got home tonight, and I haven't opened them yet
Night all!
I like my scrambled made with cream cheese...
Ooh! Packages! Hope they're good ones.
Do you , hursh? I like mine drier and in separate lumps. I also add salt, freshly ground black pepper and parsley to the mix.
Have fun and good night, nrkii
yes, Krista, 2008 Christmas presents already :)
night!
i do not like to add any spices or herbs, i like to either eat them with ham and homefries, or on buttered toast
nrkii - I wouldn't have waited before opening them! Have fun!
Sometimes I eat catsup on mine, or salsa.
Um there is Easter eggs on our shelves here
I bet that was her reward for finishing the grid.
I add stuff, hursh...
mmm home fries
if i were not already full, i would have to go make some scrambled eggs... lol
hursh - have you noticed that scrambled eggs on toast leap off in a last desperate bid for freedom just before they reach the mouth?
How do you add, Pam?
I meant WHAT
lolol, hursh and jac
I have lunch cooking
not so much if you have another piece of toast on top holding them down
I've caught many of the little blighters in my bra cleavage.;-)
I add salt, pepper, and onion...
I add chlli
hursh - the crush and subdue tactic? I must try that. LOL
I scramble the cream cheese into the egg, along with the herbs. i usually fry the onions first... If I am making Lox, eggs, and onions, I don't use the cream cheese
good evening- interesting chat - I just had a light dinner of two scrambled eggs - mushrooms, fresh spinach and served with ketchup
HI JB
sounds great, jbv!
Pam, that sounds great.
So many cooks and so many new id4's! Brilliant!
got started late today - it's 8:30 here - and I have 57 words to find!!!
you should jac :) i'm not saying it's 100%, but i imagine it's better than not.
JBV - Hi. I'm here to clue.
thanks, krista
That's a cooincidence, JBV! My grandfather used to make catsup that was soooo good on scrambled eggs. It was nothing like store-bought. Some day I'll try to make it, but it's very labor-intensive.
a clue for the ta6/18?
hursh - I seem to have lost you off my MSN. Not suggesting a chat now but I know we had one a few nights ago during which I rudely left you hanging. Truly sorry about that!
thanks, jac - there's an a 5/10 that I have not been able to figure out - can you help?
I've never had lox, though..don't think I'd like them.
Latin plural of the an4.4 before it, JBV.
oh that's ok jac, it's the nature of online chat :)
Krista how hard?
Hi all! Hopefully oding last 106 words...
Once again, hopelessly distracted from the grid by food talk.
me 6/27 anyone, please?
thank you - my a's are done!
love lox- smoked salmon for those who don't know--and when cooked into scrambled eggs with onions, it's a Jewish deli treat!
LOL, krista, me, too
ta6/18 - a bit like sex without touching word that ends in 'ic'. Thing Sting & Trudi.
Lots lots and lots of peeling, cooking, processing of tomatoes, not to mention the canning process. Not for me. But I would love to taste that stuff again.
and the girls run for the food... (the cats... the timer just kicked in)
Who are sting and trudi?
sting is a really famous singer
sting of police fame and his wife trudi styler, why, phaeon
oh...that sting
and his wife appeared on friends
his son supposedly teased ben by saying his mom was a lesbonym
huh, guess i'm not with it
Good clue, Jac. I saw the Police in July.
me6/27 is a doctor, as a Mexican might describe him?
i saw the police in july too - they gave me a speeding ticket.
lol, thanks again jacula
lol, hursh.. nice clue, jac
Bet they didn't sing to you, though. :)~
phantom: empiric
ok, so that didn't really help me very much
LOL, hursh.
Sting's son's band was the opening act...sounds just like him
Krista making sauce really isn't that hard it is the canning thats a pain in the arse
'Sting' is really a Geordie named Gordon Sumner who was once a teacher and gained his stage name from teasing after he wore yellow and black striped jersey for a gig he once did with a jazz band he was in back in the mists of time.
phaeton, they are famous for having a peculiar type of sex that starts with ta
ma5,12
i just met a girl named ma5,12
how do you solve a problem like her?
ok, but having trouble finding it in the grid
good question, hurshy
BLUEEEEEEEEE hugs
Nice clue, hursh!
sounds like a temper ta*****
(((((((((((infernal)))))))))))))))
ta6 rhymes with a chant that you repeat over and over
haven't been around, i was in sunny florida
Hi Blue
I remember that. I haven't been around as im lazy
hey krista!
haha good reason lady
Nice clue, again, hursh. Probably much better than my Sting and Trudi one.
climbing a wet 30 foot cargo net really does seem very hard.
Tom Waits quoter, if I remember correctly without looking at your profile.
he 7/32 - is it related to the he 4/5?
good memory, krista!
and then the hand bike...
I have been either finishing the grids quick or they have been driving me nuts
at6, please
thanks hurshy, that did it, someone said it ended in 'ic', that threw me off
brb
Sometimes, Blue..
No, jbv.
that trammelator is a beast
Don't have it Hubba Bubba
is the third letter r or t?
what if neither of them can do it, geesh, they need tougher dudes.
I mean the he 7
it's a t
are you watching gladiator, hursh?'
JBV - he7 is an ancient Greek concubine. If you get annoyed you get he* up, add what you breathe + a vowel.
Hope that didn't spell it out too much, JBV?
yes!!!!!!
Krista, monkeyed it, o + baseball players use ste***s + second vowel
lol-- i thought so, hursh! i am watching football...
thanks, I knew the concubine personally - from crossword puzzles - just didn't recognize her!
that 3rd ta 5/10 is in the grid a lot
nice work, Bubba..thanks
I'm not watching anything other than the chatlog.:D
maybe it's because i am weak, inflexible, slow, and have very little endurance, but i can't help enjoying watching gladiators and world's strongest man.
lol, jbv. I was looking for joni mitchell's hejira...
JBV - you knew her personally? No, don't answer. LOL
Anyone for ra6/21?
ROFL, hursh...
ra + princess ****e
I can see why, jac... everything is moving at warp speed...
at least my fantasy life is exciting
course by that token, dumb people should enjoy jeopardy and stuff, but i don't think they do.
ra6/21 - knock the last letter off the glowing with health word after it.
thanks, bubba...
Yeah, someone offered that before...all I can come up with is Princess BRIDe...which doesn't work. I'll keep thinking. Oh wait! That helps, thanks, Jacula.
I owe you a lot.
jars--bonny prince Charles' first brinde...
Same here, Jars!! lol
pam - I found a book that had somehow passed me by in my childhood. I watched an adaptation of Noel Streatfield's 'Ballet Shoes' the other night and was enchanted. I've ordered boththe DVD and the book.
does that mean that physical prowess is more admired in society, or does it mean that smart non-athletic people are more secure than dumb athletic people, so they can handle watching people do things they can't remotely do?
Yeah, I got it. Doesn't her name end with an "a"?
hmmmm, thanks, jac!!!!!!!!!!
maybe it does, but I tried
I started to try that, but that wouldn't end in 'e'
yeah, what Jars said. :)
Hursh - in short, I dunno.x
But got it, thanks very much
bler
you have to be able to see past people's cluing errors, get inside their heads and thing what they must have meant...
i need a to4, one of the first four, don't kn ow which one, help
i mean think, lol
to4, foot digit + first vowel ( a common babblet)
di5/16 - is that what you seek? If so, it's your daily blog but on paper.
what word can possible start with ih? am I going to be embarrassed when I find out?
ih is another babblet. ih + male sheep.
I think it's because watching displays of physical prowess is more appealing to athletic and nonathletic alike because we weaklings can still aspire to physical greatness...but who likes being reminded that they're not so bright?
The definition of the ih word is this: the dress worn by male Muslims on their pilgrimage to Mecca, consisting of two white cotton cloths, one worn round the waist, the other over the left shoulder.
ok, thanks, not embarrassed - totally new word for me
If that made one bit of sense.
well, i know i typed that twenty times and it wouldn't register. Thanks Bubba
any help with the ur7's, my last two words
i totally cannot aspire to physical greatness. or anyway, i don't. if i could get to the point where i was flexible enough to touch my toes, that would be enough for me.
ur + low blood count ( take out the n)
change the last letter for the second ur7
gekki babblers. ha, my right hand was off by one letter. i kind of like gekki better than hello.
I watched that 'Half Ton Mom' programme the night before last, about the lady who begged for help when she was 40 stone, didn't get it until she was 64 stone and then died 2 weeks after her gastric band op., leaving behind 2 young daughters and a grieving (mostly overweight) family. I felt so sorry for her! Overeating (as in the body not sensing the 'full now!' signal is an illness, just like anorexia is.
Thank YOu Bubba! I'm Done!
congrats phaeton
and i'm not even fat, i'm tall and thin, but i just cannot touch my toes. my hamstrings are years of stretching away from it. isn't that so sad?
gekki to you feather
why didn't she get help before?
congrats, phaeton!
Thanks Bubba, JBV, Hurshy, and anyone else out there for the clues. Good night
at 6,30 please
my friend's daughter had a gastric by pass and lost 150 lbs. Now she's pregnant and going to deliver at home with a midwife in a pool of water in her living room. How dumb is that
Jac some people actually are missing the bit between stomach and brain that says 'stop eating;
I think my point was that, yes, brains are probably more admired in society. But then again, you wouldn't know it if you judged by paychecks (a neurosurgeon vs. an NBA star, for example)
feather - because all the hospitals slammed the door in her face and told her to lose weight before she could have the gastric banding op. They put her in touch with their dieticians. Thing is, if she could have followed a diet, she would have done.
returning the favor...at6...at + sometimes vowel end with ice ***k
why dumb bichon?
very sad jac
we're the opposite, Hurshy - I'm overweight but have always been very flexible - i can even put my leg behind my head..whoo hoo..put that on my resume
Herin - yes, I know that. However, judging from the forum stuff I've read since I looked up Renee Williams' story, not so many people know that.
My MIL goes for a consult for lap-band Wed. Ugh. And GEKKI Feather!
i saw a woman on discovery health channel who was always thin until she was about 22 and had an operation, got blood transfusions obviously during it, and then gained 100 pounds within a few months. very sobering, isn't it? it was very clear that something they gave her changed her whole physiology. very sobering.
Bichon there is nothing dumb about having a child at home with a midwife in water. Babies can breath in water in the first breath. Also our coxic bone (the one at the end of the spine is flexible and its meant to go back when in birth. Having babies on ones back isn't very helpful to the body
Thanks phaeton, we're even
that's very strange hursh. i wonder if dr. house could figure out what happened?
my sister had her baby in the water, but at a birthing center, not at home. they had a real nice big tub there.
oh feather, what a delightful idea!
Dr. House can figure out ANYTHING. **back to grid**
Oh also accidents and injury (mental or physical) can play up the brains chemicals and make you gain or lose weight.
i have been speculating that my sleeping problems are caused by a tumor in the area of my brain that regulates temperature.
Hursh that is awesome
my inference was that someone who's had serious internal surgery shouldn't be delivering at home
i tried to labor in water. had heard that it was much easier, and was very for it. however, for some reason, i couldn't relax as much as i thought i would! and i had even switched rooms so i'd have a tub. ah well. it probably works great for everyone else. i did my own thing, and was fine.
I was always so grateful I didn't have to get blood during surgeries. That is such a nasty thought to me.
Bichon if the woman has spoken to a doctor then she should be ok. Midwifes are amazing people
i'm speculating that my sleeping problems are caused by a benign growth attached to me in the middle of the night, that during the day goes by the name of nick.
Her doctor knows nothing about her plan to deliver at home
LOL Feather
i was wondering if that was your meaning bichon, that's why i asked what you meant. would the gastric bypass make labor more dangerous?
i am soooooo tired all of a sudden... i need to go....
ciao
my sister ate so healthy and did everything so right. when she started having contractions she knelt down and leaned against the couch a bit. she then proceded to bake a cake. she said that when she got to the point, later on, where she was prepared to feel like she just couldn't do it and so forth, it was time to push! she had such a quick labor. she said of her labor, "it was great!"
Bye Pam!
and pam departs... for the penalty box!
Bichon that doesn't sound good. But if she has been to a doctor about the pregnancy well thats their descion
night pam
I am speculating that my occasional sleeplessness is from a technological device beeping so as to arouse me from sleep, get a message from a chipper answering service lady, and call a frantic parent.
I think and I'm not a doctor, that stress of labor might cause a problem
toss the beeper out the window scrabs!
Scrabler hide the pager?
does the midwife know her history?
During my career it has landed in the toilet twice---when it falls off of my pants.
lol! oopsie. beep beep blurb!
I am also very tired and am struggling to keep my eyes open.
Ewwwww! Bet that was fun to sanitize.
yes, she does, but personally I believe that midwifes have a cause. The mother-to-be is a doolah and also believes that hospitals aren't conducive to a natural birth.
scrabs, do we have a birth story from your friend that i helped out yet?
Totally gross to get it out of the bowl---repeated handwashing.
My midwife tried to give me a water birt experience when I had my daughter at home. I didn't want to stay in the bath where the water rapidly went cold. I staggered off to the bedroom to give birth kneeling down (where the penultimate contraction had floored me). However, the midwife, the ends of her hair all wet where she'd tried to attend to me in the bath where she wanted me really, said, 'It's killing my knees down here on the floor and I can't really see. Do you think you could get up on the bed?' One major last ditch effort on my part got me up there and daughter really did shoot out.
hello
My son keeps dropping too-expensive-to-flush Lego pieces in the pan...
she's right, hospital's aren't conducive to a natural birth, but that doesn't mean it can't be done. i did twice.
and as I recall feather, you where back on babble about 9 hours later...you're still my hero!
my sister's birthing sister was on a hospital campus, in case of emergency complications, but it was basically like a little house. we all kind of had a party there after the baby came.
I told her to write to you, Featherbee. 19 hrs of labor, but no meds. She tried various positions. She rolled around on a ball for a while. Her husband helped her a LOT. She is SO happy to have done it naturally.
what jac? "excuse me, i know you're in the middle of one he** of a contraction, and are dealing with some major pain/concentration issues, but i'm a little awkward down here, do you suppose you could heave your large belly up on the bed?" lol!
I had a great natural irth in a hospital and I think there is some degree of propoganda attached to strong believers in home births.
I had a great natural irth in a hospital and I think there is some degree of propoganda attached to strong believers in home births.
I'm getting overly tired.... anyone have ra5/12? I have the one that's got consecutive vowels in it.
Never understood the desire for natural childbirth, if it come out where it is supposed to come out, it is natural-- would you consider natural root canal?
I had totally medicated from start to finish c-sections...I don't recommend it, but hey, you have to do what you have to do. And I couldn't breastfeed either one..am I still a woman? In some circles, probably not.
Their fall back is "we can get you to a hospitaol in 10 minutes" Ten minutes can be the difference between happiness and tragedy
No epidurals, no drugs for all 4. The only way to go.
You lot have put me off having kids for ever
lol, not quite that fast dan! but yeah, it was a quick labor and recovery for me
in my sister's case, bubba, it had more to do with a VERY severe needle phobia...
ra 5/12 is the plural of a part of a circle - from center to edge
I skipped the entire pregnancy thing altogether.
Hi, harp!
I wasn't even breastfed and I am five foot ten. :)
Wow, Lori!
Kind of selfish midwife, Jac!
If you're in a hospital, get out as quick as possible.
Scrab you just had rabbits
Bubba, very good point! LOL!
can I get a clue for the last me 5/14>
I have the plural circle measurement...I need the other one?
well, for me, it was natural and learn how to deal with the pain on my own, or *SHUDDER* have someone stick a needle in my back, or give me drugs when i've never ever had anything stronger than tylenol. i decided i wanted to do it on my own.
I agree, hospitals are truly dangerous places---full of germs, and people that make mistakes.
No she wasn't really selfish, Krista. I ended up on my back (we won't discuss where the rest of my limbs were placed) but daughter did shoot out rather than slide out.
Krista, I didn't nurse #1, and she's fine. The Laleche crowd are a little too fanatical with their agenda. Jacula, I had 1 in a rocking chair......
oh, jars, get ready, it's what people had before TV
Scrabbler - that statement you just made has made me more than ever determined to avoid a hysterectomy.
I'm surprised to hear that from a MD, Scrabbler
They gave me an epidural DURING a contraction, Feather. COuldn't wait a few seconds.
krista, you are still a woman, still a mother, and still were strong to get through the birth. any woman who goes through 9 months of pregnancy and then birth is strong in my books. no matter how they do it. HOW you birth is all personal choice.
Aren't they also places where people heal
Lori - she's fine and 5'10, right? Lol!
Scrabbler knows, hospitals are terribbly germy places. i was outta' there like a rocket.
my sister is so disturbed by medical things that she had a seizure when she had to have a cast for a fracture, and another one when the dentist gave her novicaine (not allergic, just phobic). asking her to have an epidural would be like asking me to hold a boa constrictor while giving birth - last thing i'd want at such a time!!!
Women, as all people, have various pain thresholds and tolerances, and differently shaped pelvises, and different sized babies, etc---some women can go without pain meds and others cannot and should not.
...a seizure? You can have seizures from fear? Wow.
Krista, it bothers me that nursing is like the be all end all to birthing. A healthy fed baby is all that matters. The rest is personal choice, IMO
I am a sook. I had 4 different pain killers for my teeth
In my experience, maternity areas of the hospital are the nicest, cleanest and most cheerful
they aren't real seizures, they are some kind of pseudo seizures. they did an EEG and it was normal.
evening all... an 7 clue please
my theory is that every woman is different, and every birth does not need to be the same. it's all about what makes that particular woman most comfortable with her own birth experience.
uni's only a little psychologically damaged from not being nursed, right? :-)
Hello all.... need to weigh in on the birthing process... had my one and only in a military hospital (with the door to the hallway facing my nether-regions), had an O-6 OB/GYN AND a midwife AND all the drugs I could get.... ahhhhhhhh, the only way to experience it! :)
How you go through birth IS a personal choice and, for me, I felt that if I went through no pain I may not bond properly with my child. (I thought this after seeing a friend go through a knock-out caesarian and come out of it not knowing who she was,let alone that she'd had a child. It took her 5 years to bond with her first son!)
I have been accused as a junkie as i don't process codine well
nobody can really explain how or why she gets these pseudo-seizures.
Heck, a few generations of us weren't breastfed. Though that era was full of misconceptions and hang-ups, too.
an7, against what we breathe
ah ty bubba
I was a Carnation baby! :-)
I can't believe I'm jumping into this, but my wife has birthed children both natural and with an epidural. Looking back, she appreciates both experiences for much different reasons.
i'm very pro-breastfeeding, but will never knock those that don't. again, all personal choice.
my grandma was under general anaesthetic during her 3 ... only way to go in my unexperienced opinion!!!
So, I had both of my children with no pain relief, though I did have to fight staff in enforced hospital birth re 1st child (my son). He was breech and refused to turn. I refused a Caesarian, delivered him naturally, he came into the world bum first and has been awkward ever since! LOL
I am pro health of kid and mum
If I ever get to that point...I don't yet see the necessity of it all. I think it just creates an exclusive bond between child and mum which is beautiful for them, but damages possible relationships with others.
Jac lol. My friend used a mid wife and natural for her twin boys both 7 to 8 pounds each
cr6?
**it all, should breastfeeding. I don't even know how that one happened.
Yippee for women that endure pregnancy, labor, any which way of delivery, and being Mommies! We are all here because of our moms!
now see, i did natural births, but put me in a dentist chair, and if i was given the option of general anesthesia or novacaine, i'd opt for being knocked out! lol, different situations
Thanks, Feather. That's what we all need to hear, really. But I have to admit, I feel really left out in many a conversation like this one. Eric keeps asking me how he "came out"..and why it wasn'tlike he had heard it happens..now where this 6 year old "heard" about it is another question!
although, on the nursing issue... I have Crohn's Disease and much of the medical research shows that breastfeeding can lessen one's chances of that, especially if there is a family history... I was pure formula fed.... believe me, I nursed my son in hopes he doesn't get this!
Feather, i had a room mate in the hospital, reduced to tears, because she ahd to send her hub for formula. I found that very alarming. The pressure on her by staff, was unreal. I told her to stand her ground if that's what she wanted.
cr6 is the plural form of a word for the head (and also a popular board game)
(I think...)
I didn't breast feed either of my two beyond the first 3 days of colostrum. After that it was formula in bottles.
breastfeeding is better for many reasons, but formula isn't poison either, and if that's what you have to do, that's what you have to do.
thanks!
i keep losing track of who i want to respond to, this is moving so fast!
Also used Peaudouce French disposable nappies, and neither ever had nappy rash.
feather - same here! It is fast.
I need to go to bed--I am SO tired. See you tomorrow.
Sleep tight Scrabbler. Take care!
night scrabs!
ok WHY do people on deal or no deal act like they are skilled or unskilled at opening "the right cases" when it is all a matter of chance????
at 7 please and ty
Thanks for chiming in Jars..it is all in how you look at it. I was glad the kids were healthy, and how they got here was really details.
Scrabbs - sorry we were all talking 'work' for you! xxx
Contrary to popular belief, formula makers invest greatly in making asure babies are properly nourished.
i keep hearing weird sounds, brb
Hey Jars! You're still hanging in? good for you!
back later gators. I have a shrinks appointment
It's OK, Jacula. I chose to not be a mother but I take care of them when they come out.
at6 = not conforming to the usual type.
at7 = "against" + what we breathe
Howdy everyone!
at + sometimes vowel + people use a wooden tooth ***k to clean their teeth
hi ldb
Yes, Lori...I can't believe how much time I've put into this...if it takes this long every day, I can't do this!
evenin babblers!
I know that, Scrabbs! I wouldn't be friends with you if I thought otherwise.xxxx
Gotta' choose what works for you. Your way is not mine, and mine is not yours. To each their own.
got it ty kindly for the clues
Speaking of those little creatures...mine need me now! Night, and thanks for the thought-provoking chat!
Okay...forget my clue for at7...
hmm, the banker does not offer very good deals these days.
correct lori. as i said, it's not poison. however, it also isn't as good as breastmilk for many reasons. it will never harm any baby to be on formula, but on the other hand, it can give them many medical advantages to be breastfed!
gotta go check out those noises....
I'd take $166K
It gets better Jars, except for the addiction part.... :-)
i would too, because it's enough. but statistically, the banker should offer 250,000, that is the fair market value.
The banker's an arse.
Hi, AK. Just saw you down there.
Feather, I nursed the last 3, non nursed Uni. I saw and see no difference at all.
evening jac
an 5/10 clue the last one anyone?
if i were on the show, i'd take the cash, but point out the facts of the math on my way out.
ok, deal or no deal, breastmilk-vs-formula...any other pertinent topics i should know about coming into the chatlog tonight?
G'night Krista. Sleep tight. lb!!!!!!! :-)Eva!
Okay, for my first try, I made 134 words...but I gotta get to bed. Tomorrow's my son's first day at "school".
ok, off to put the c-section-born, formula-fed urchins to bed...goodnight
an5/10 is like ta6/18 without the first letter.
ruru. an + take the ***in instead of a plane.
you missed american gladiators, eva...
...Maybe that is why I don't like milk? :D
amen feather, I pray that my 10 months of nursing protects my son from developing Crohn's
an + *** la la
Hi Harp, Lori! night Krista
Take care Krista! Just make sure ya love them, that's what counts
i was too busy watching it. :)
thanks bubb
:) :) :)
Hi, Eva. Breastmil is a must, if possible, for the first 3 days when the colostrum is coming through. This is the liquid that gives the baby the mother's immunities. After that, well...
So true, Uni.
BYE BUBBA
You leave Krista, then bye
hints for the O in the lower left corner?
na 5/10?? working down the list - up to n, but I don't think I can finish - it's late and I've got too many things to do before I go to bed
It always takes me at least 15 minutes to leave. :) I was just shouting over the others.
O + baseball players use ste****s + second vowel
That 'o', Eva is the Babble 'amost a state'.
o+ anal problem + 2nd vowel.
o + Roger Clemens denies taking st****s + 2nd vowel
Immune systems can be readily jumpstarted by passing the baby around, and allowing their system to work, rather than sheltering them from every germ
*almost
lbd, I like you clue better
what an interesting group of clues...heh...thanks all!
now hows about the i beneath the Y?
lol, bubba
Lori - how right you are! This healf and safety world we live in now is just courting a major disaster.
i gotta say, life is life. you never know. you do your best, but bottom line, everyone gets dealt some crap at some point. i'm physically healthy but psychologically not. you could be the healthiest person in ALL respects and get hit by a bus.
i'm taking a break from watching football to finish the Babble... anyone have a clue for the py5,16 ?
i+ get *** of the clutter on your desk
The I beneath the y might produce a fool?
py + past tense of run
py+ walk very very fast
and therefore, people who do their best by their kids have no reason to feel bad, whatever that best is.
py + I*** is next, after Iraq
it certainly might, jac!
TY Bubba :)
heaven forfend, LoriP!
need a clue for na 5/10, please
at 6 ?
i agree with that, about not sheltering them. nick was out and about within his first week, and i've never been one to freak too much about people touching him.
na+ george and *** gershwin
The clue was sarcasm dan, ***just 4 the record***
oop, he's screwed.
*whew* :)
at+ sometimes vowel + ***ture this!

Hi tyger
G'night Jes, bubba.

co7 = co + speak in anger like Hitler did + round vowel.

how can anyone turn their nose to 172, 000 dollars
did that work, jac?
the weird sound was a dog that sings bingo that daniel found. it's an hour and a half past his bedtime, and there's no way he's going to fall asleep with that stupid dog playing, but he had a fit when i looked to see if it had a lower volume on it! argh.
i don't know. i could buy a house. it is my dream to own a house and i don't know if i ever will get to.
thanks
Hursh - find a good film to watch, or a wildlife thingey, or a documentary - they've got to be better than game shows. xx
id5?
nah, i gotta go to bed soon anyway
harp, don't be an...
id 5, a moron
id5: synonym for moron
Harp, you will feel like an id5 when you find the word.
duh... too late for that!
Did what work, tyger? Just saw you there.
LOL feather, noisy toys are so helpful for sleeping.....
I clued the or6 you asked for
How sweet to be an id5.
me 5/14 - hope it's not too obvious - I've been working on it for a while
di8, 55 anyone
there's more than one, JBV
me 5, CNN, newspapers, radio.....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jM_QAFJ 80GY (re how sweet etc.)
5 more minutes, then i see if i can trade him something for it
what me*** do you get your news from, tv, internet, radio...
Good job Mum...PB for you!
di8 adjective applying to miniature scene
thanks, it's the last me 5/14 on lickety's list
is the ih word even reasonabley common?
That di8 certainly has proved to be a stumbling block for many Babblers this grid.
dawg & lori clued the first me5
i know
hi, harp, I asked for that a little while ago - it's a muslim garment - ih + male sheep
i have seen several clues and still cant get it
di8, di + either **, first vowel + *** jagger
awesome thanks
tyger, do you have the me 5/14 I'm looking for - the last one
the di8, nana?
harp, i don't think ih5 is usual. ih + male sheep
fortunately I know what a male sheep is! thanks
di8 - designer 'Christian's' surname + French friend + consonant that sound either visual or watery.
***slinks quietly to PB, waits for Uni to screw up, then I will pounce***
thanks i got it
me + princess ** + repeat last vowel
ibdawger, thanks again
jac, did you get the or word?
**refuses to type anymore**
thanks, lb - never saw that word before
LOL, uni
well, now i am stuck on the re5,10 ... will i need a fish to smack myself with ???
statistically, he should have taken that one.
tyger - I'm not here to ask for clues, sorry if you misunderstood. I'm all done hours ago. Just here to clue.
oh, sorry
2 x re5/10
person who can't spell her name, which one?
monkey, another way to spell lariat? re + the c** in the h** + first vowel
first re5/10, sorry
Don't be sorry, tyer. You wanted to help and that's good.
reata
variant of the rope
2nd re5 is a latin plural for a word meaning network
oh crap
he should definitely take this offer.
sorry!
we'll let that one slip by, monkey, everyone needs a freebie on occassion.
heh heh heh ***makes a seat available in the PB for lil, come and join me***
Oh wel, that takes car of the 1st re5. Into the penalty box with you monkey!
2nd re5: re + Spanish aunt
dammit! 5 for fighting
I'll throw a jar of mixed nuts, since you are a monkey, in there. Enjoy!
lol lil
did anybody remember to stock the PB with chocolates?
monkey like bananas
how about the di5? there are some weird ones in this grid
still need na 4/4 - I have the 4/5 and 4/6
If it was up to me the PB would hold only stale bread and brackish water. LOL
di5: teenage girls used to keep these journals
dear di***, this grid was really wicked.
na4/4 is a little melange of vowels
na4/4 - n + 3 vowels
thanks, i'm sort of a double id5, because I actually kept one!
yup. still useless. i keep monkeying my way into fish.
got it, thanks
almost a snap, dawg :)
di5 is your daily write up on your day.
jacula! you are so mean! brackish water?
this grid was evil incarnate, IMO
Yep, Lori! |Stale water that's got a taste of metal.
I didn't think it was so bad. I only had 25 left when I went to the word lists
and only one of the 8s
Of course, sometimes I have a hard time with a grid that others think was easy :P
I thought it was a very nice grid.
LOL
di8 please?
Well tyger, I saulte you, since I duly cursed this one. the air was blue.....
I loved the clue with the fashion designer - was that yours, jac?
Oh no! Not di8 again. This really has been the word of the day that has stumped most.
it was mine, tyger, yes.
sorry!
lori, I had a conniption fit about the grid the first day that MrP & Lickety were on their mini-vacation
di 8 was one I atually got. 5's seemd to mock me in this one
clue for oi 5/12, please?
kth - no! Not having a go at you, it was just a general thing.
and I don't think most others found that one so bad
oi5: oi + Spanish for 1/7th of a week
LOL tyger, I too was unimpressed with Lickety's real life infringing on Bable..... :-)
so, any chance of a clue?
oi + ***l-up is slower than high speed
I was TORN, lori! I knew they desperately needed some time off
oi + first 3 letters of the **meter of something.
maybe jac will repeat it, kth
I found it...interesting...to try and do it on my own. Taught me to appreciate the back-up of the list, just in case
thanks for the oi - that was another weird one!
I love Lickety and mrP to bits. that said, i was selfishly unamused..... :-)
yes, indeed, JBV
I double thakned him for you and I yesterday, Lori
Kate, di + either ** + first vowel + *** jagger
di8 = designer 'Christian's' surname + French friend + consonant that sound either visual or watery.
that was one of the 25 I needed word lists for, JBV :)
di 8 is like a pan****** view
I do wish I'd saved that clue so I could C & p it!
thanks, at least it's a real word, but I wouldn't have got it without help :)
Thanks Uni. I haven't been on when Lickety's here lately.
save it this time, jac! :D
very creative clues everyone for the di8 !!!
The lickety/mrP thing faltered? What happened?
we all need help sometimes, kth
nothing, jac. just commentary on their mini-vacation and how much they were missed
Lickety and mrP had the never to go camping Jac. imagine!
with all the trauma in their lives (her injury, having to sell the house), they NEEDED some time away, IMO
where's DC tonite? I wanted to twit him about falling back to 1026 for taking New Year's Day off
anyone have the ur7,36 and ur 7, 40
Fer sure tyger. Methinks they have more than their share of stress right now unfortunately.
Lori? Sorry, you lost me there.
nana, those are british spellings of things having to do with the tract beginning with the kidneys
tyger, DC is on day shift now. he was on this afternoon.
Jac, while Lickety and mrP went camping, there was no Lickety's list.
ur7/36 = ur + 1st and 2nd vowels + actress Miss Farrow.
what on earth is hte rh8?
stick in the a before the e of a word having to do with a problem from retention of waste water, and then the adjective
ur7/40 = same but with a consonant (the visual or watery one) at the end.
wow thanks jac
y/w, nana.
rh8 is a discipline that was an intrinsic part of medieval education
good clues jac, keep em coming
it's an adjective based on the rh6
do you want an explicit clue, harp??
Lori - I know there was no list but why should that worry anyone? Either you work listless or you go to BJ's list when there are about 6 left to find.
LOL
no believe it or not I got it
very good :)
I've never seen BJ's list, where is it?
thanks jac got the other,,,
Jacula, you're making this soooo complicated! My sarcasm is being lost in the written word apparently... :-)
kth - it's in BabAnon site.
AngelSong's site, kth
oh ok I see it
I got one good thing out of not having Lickety's list - I finally learned to really use the letter/points code
I learned to appreciate the stats panel...although I had only had it for a week, heh
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
hello minver
but I'm SOOO glad to have his page back. I make more progress faster with it than any other way
G'd evening Min!
Well, good, tyger. That'll help you in the future with grids.
hey, min. how are you tonite?
Hey Min! How are you?
Hi, Min.
i use the lists shamelessly!
it helped me with today's :)
I am doing well all. Thanks for asking. Didn't like grid.
the farther I can get without resorting to word lists, the better
ty6,24 ??? help me please? I'm out of the penalty box now
ty6: a despotic ruler
Now that I ahve the stats panel (thanks Haz. :-) I amless relaint on Lcikety's but he's still my personal god!
ty6/24 is a kind of despot.
ty 6, a harsh, mean ruler
Jacula I got the first 4 letters of the ur clue, but I do not understand Mia Farrow part of your clue. Sorry!

thank you all :) including YOU, person who can't spell
o
wow, jac & lori, we couldn't have been much closer together without having a snap! :)
:-) @ lil
min, Farrow's 1st name is part of the word's spelling :)
i'm using lickety's list right now and I am still having a hard time finishing - can I get a clue for ta 5/10 (the second one)
ur clue, Min, was ur + first 2 vowels of vowel list + the actress you just mentioned.
