I went to a real live rock concert - Todd Rundgren - met my sis & her family there. I don't think I've ever been to a rock concert with an actual rock star - bar bands, yes - but not the concert scene. I played in an orch for Moody Blues a few times, and I ushered a Phoebe Snow concert way back when - but this was rock in all its happy ornery-ness. Todd is a character. His band was good esp the bassist. The audience was mostly middle aged, and as much entertainment as the band.

Pink, as a born again smoker (15 days!!) I can tell you that you can only stop when you are ready. I stopped before for over a year, had a lot of stress and started again, I'm now ready to give up. You will know when the time is right for you :-)

What holds off atrophy is the brain learning new things (not that I want to do it), so once we've mastered babble, as many of us have, we can't really call it therapeutic, but need to branch out

actually, I am under the impression that the profile does open, just not visible. The upper blue bar goes light, like another window is active. But when I minimise babble, there is nothing.
same with email. My settings should allow me to open links from email. But when I open for instance a YouTube link, all I get is the sound!

The only way I found around it was to set it so that pop-ups are allowed if I hold (I think) Ctrl-X and click on the pic at the same time

Scarlet, if you have entered a word in the expert that because of a glitch on the server did not catch, this happens
expert already has the word, so it registers as Already found, and is not entered into babble.
I'll keep that in mind, sprite... so, Babble is only human? What a let-down...
you either have to retype in the babble box itself, or hit Send words to Babble.

I just talked to my daughter. My baby grandson (almost 1 year old) had surgery on Monday night for a staph infection on his leg. He's fine, but he had to have a drain inserted.

No, Aloy... she was on a very strong regimen of antibiotics for 10 days, then three days after she completed it, the armpit nodules reappeared and they hurt.
I would greatly appreciate prayers for my daughter and her family. She's going through some difficult time. marital issues.

I read about the whole story a few years back and now it is in movie form. It is at our local "art" house theatre.........thing I miss most about living in San Francisco is that there were about 20 "art" houses so you could see lots of the foreign films

I grew up in a sunscreen friendly age though...there is always that diff. My grandfather has never touched sunscreen and has skin cancer, but he grew up in a time when that wasn't even heard of. He gets them removed if they need to be, and stays out of the sun.

it is jilli, but i remember how it was when i first started, and needed a lot of help and did know anyone to ask. now i have a sister, brother, in-laws, darth (who finds words i never heard of)...but the first time i finished was by readin the entire log for clues to the ones i needed. i put in a lot of effort, so i expect some effort to be made before a clue is asked. I will help, but i need to feel that they at least tried.

he told me that he messed it up...he "cut the top notes off the scale". I asked how many, he said 8. since a scale is 8 notes, i was confused. he only played 3 octaves, instead of 4.
Oh yea, he was only required to play ONE octave!
