I'm not particularly swayed by anyone's endorsement of a candidate. Oprah, Caroline, etc. Frankly, those endorsements scare because there are so many folks that just follow and don't bother looking beyond a face and celebrity.
but you don't, mom, so maybe other people don't either :) maybe we are too pessimistic. and maybe the people who would vote in that manner are the people who don't end up bothering to vote at all.

I wish folks would get away from "party loyalty". I'm glad, at least locally, they did away with the "party" lever. Make those narrow-minded folks actually fill in individual votes! And why can't candidates just talk about what they're hoping to do and tout their own agenda and not be so nasty to/about their opponents? Proof of mentality is that you-know-who was voted in a second time. His appearance on TV, etc., brings out the worst in me!

Kattie... we depart philosophies on him... he lied to John Kerry and told him he would NOT run again, and they are "divorced" in a very public squabble... then Kerry threw his support to Mr. Obama... he has created some of the most curious commercials... with his parents... not touching... just STANDING there, posing... very distant, very cold and clinical... I am all about character... and his has revealed itself to be wanting... dearly.
it's just that shock is such a strong word, it seems to imply a judgment that she shouldn't have done it... and some of the other words like "scary" and "worry" - also strong words... bush is scary. i'm not sure any of the current candidates rise to that level.
just an opinion, most elected officials go into office with a clean slate, but come out mostly soiled by the dirty politics going on in Washington

B.f and i went away to daylesford for 4 days and got a cabin. Another great way is to rent a house for a week. A house could cost about $500 a week but you get a house and a kitchen. We got a self contained cabin with fire it was lovely
