Canned pasta sauce, tapenade, slow roasted tomatoes in oil, etc. We have a lot of herbs growing as well, so it makes it easy!
I only discovered I do not have a black thumb last summer, in the apartment, so I am reallly looking forward to this summer. Now I have my own yards to grow things in. I want to plant flowers, too.

well ... in some places the flooding has never really gone from the last round. there are still a lot of fields flooded around some of the rivers. but the second we get torrential rain, there will be some more, I'm sure

Bujold has written a SF-fantasy series, but most of her books are hard SF - the Vorkosigan Saga, it's called, but each book is standalone, you can read any one you want (though there are nuances that those who've read the rest will get that you won't, but it's still good)
